Mr Sherlock Holmes (2.0 - der Doppelgänger)
Here we go! It's sunday and ready for some more hound of the Baskervilles! Of course, put on your yaoi goggles!
First of all, Holmes and Watson had a very nice little date at the picture gallery
Tumblr media
And Watson, honest man as he is, cares to inform us about his beloved's shortcomings about art. I'm sure they often joke about it!
Now back to work! Just gossiping with the Hotel's reception
Tumblr media
Not gossiping, ofc, GETTING INFORMATION. You can't change my mind on Holmes being one of the best gossips in London when he feels like that!
Now we did get some int- WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING NOW?!
Tumblr media
They nicked ANOTHER boot?!
Tumblr media
They did!
well, someone stops the american, pls?
Tumblr media
We have a CASE to solve! And Holmes is so, so happy and invested! all very nice!
NOW. Sir Henry decided to go to Devonshire at the end. And there's nothing we can do about it. But still we have to put set stuff straight. Like, you know you're dogged, right?
Tumblr media
DOGGED?! WHAT? BY WHO?! W- AAAH
Okay, do write this telegram, there's noooothing that can go wrong!
BTW, -getting some tea-, tell me about this Barrymore!
Tumblr media
LET ME GET THAT AMERICAN BASTARD'S NECK I'LL TIE IT INTO KNOT.
SPOILED RICH BRAT, NEVER HAD TO CARE FOR A FLAT, HAVE YOU? YOU'D KNOW THAT EVEN KEEPING SUCH A HALL LIVABLE TAKES ONE HECK OF A JOB YOU- -i am forcibly shut down-
Tumblr media
Now inquiring for a motive.
Mortimer, lad. That is suspicious to say. a lot. That is EXACTLY Holmes' job and he's doing it WELL! How much money did Sir Charles have at the end?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Holmes and Watson both going 'the hell? do people with so much money EXIST?!'
As Jeremy reminds us:
Tumblr media
And it DOES! That's one hell of a motive! It's close to a million of motives!
NOW! You SHOULD go, sir Henry, but not alone!
Tumblr media
And i SURE can't come... i am... BUSY, YES, SOOOO BUSY!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They agree for leaving on Saturday and the investigation goes ooooon! Two telegrams arrive to prove that two ideas can't work and yes, let's take it PHILOSOPHICALLY!
Tumblr media
We still have one more threat in our hands! -Holmes giving Watson tiny kisses -
Here's the third thread!
Tumblr media
Nothing against you my man! Just few answers, you had a guy on with you, yes, right. Ah, he said he was a detective.
Anything else?
Tumblr media
WHAT IN THE EVERLOVING HELL?!
Okay. Damn. Okay. Time to send in some fencing metaphors! Damn. three on three gone!
Tumblr media
it IS an ugly and dangerous busyness. Holmes will be very very worried until it won't be solved. everything will be well!
We'll see how it'll go in the next episode!

Look at this creature. Behold this small man. In the face of it all* he does what he can. And every night, in spite of his scars, with all of his might he sings to the stars.

The funny thing about the PJO cabin system is that everyone's always all 'oh the twelve' this and 'the twelve' that but that's absolutely not even remotely accurate. To start, right off the bat it's thirteen, not twelve, because they don't count Hades. But not really because before Percy, there were no big three kids, so we're down to ten active cabins already but it's actually eight because Artemis and Hera don't make demigods.
And of those eight, Mr. D is stuck at camp (thus not really making new demigods all that often) and his only two kids don't even sleep in a cabin, they sleep in the Big House with him.
So, pre-Percy, there are seven active cabins at Camp Half-Blood:
Glee club, the Jocks, the Nerds, the Geeks, the Farmers, the 'Sketchy Kids' and the Popular Kids.
Or, in other words, the Apollo, Ares, Athena, Hephaestus, Demeter, Hermes (and the unclaimed kids) and Aphrodite cabins.
What's cool is that you can already see the cabin dynamics in the show. For example, the Athena cabin allies with the Hermes cabin for the numbers. The Hermes kids plus all the unclaimed kids? It's the biggest cabin in the camp by far. It's a battle strategy. Luke and Annabeth's close relationship is just the cherry on top for Annabeth. It'll be really cool to see how the show develops the differences in the cabins during the series.

Can you draw the delightful children or sector z pls I love your art so much!
Ah, those delightful kids from down the lane? 🤗 Sure!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Honestly that Sector Z reveal? Had done something to me, like, even as a kid?? 😭 Like WDYM the series main antagonists were legendary agent kids, but an adult brainwashed them into his obedient little dolls and they are stuck like this forever??? And only 2-3 people in the whole universe know about this?? Like, bro???
(also thanks! 🤭 ✌️)

In November, Israel’s public broadcaster, Kan, uploaded on its official X page a video of Israeli children singing a song celebrating their country’s ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza. The broadcaster deleted the video clip after a huge online backlash. Even after the video was silently erased from social media, however, the song remained a subject of discussion and controversy. Many across the world were shocked to see children sing happily about “eliminating” an entire people “within one year”. Yet a closer look at Israeli literature and curricula shows this open celebration of genocide was the only natural outcome of Israel’s persistent indoctrination – or brainwashing to be more blunt – of its children to ensure that they do not view Palestinians as human and fully embrace apartheid and occupation. There is myriad evidence of Israel’s brainwashing of its citizens to erase the humanity of Palestinians spanning many decades. Israeli scholar Adir Cohen, for example, analysed for his book titled “An Ugly Face in the Mirror – National Stereotypes in Hebrew Children’s Literature” some 1700 Hebrew-language children’s books published in Israel between 1967 and 1985, and found that a whopping 520 of them contained humiliating, negative descriptions of the Palestinians. He revealed that 66 percent of these 520 books refer to Arabs as violent; 52 percent as evil; 37 percent as liars; 31 percent as greedy; 28 percent as two-faced and 27 percent as traitors.

My favorite little kid-ism is getting into an argument with a friend/sibling and agreeing to like, hit or kick each other in order to make amends. The 8 year old blood price code. You get in a fight with a sibling and they start crying and you're nervously going 'Sorry I'm sorry okay? You can hit me. Please hit me' as an attempt to resolve the dispute and get them to stop crying before Mom Arrives.

Fury made Alanna gasp for breath. How could anyone get well in a menagerie? How could Jonathan breathe? This went against all the commonsense rules Maude had taught her for healing: clean air, quiet, absolute cleanliness, calm and reassuring voices. Didn't these people know anything?

unicef estimates that a thousand children in Gaza have become amputees since the conflict began in October. “This is the biggest cohort of pediatric amputees in history,” Ghassan Abu-Sittah, a London-based plastic-and-reconstructive surgeon who specializes in pediatric trauma, told me recently. I met him in the waiting room of his plastic-surgery clinic on London’s Harley Street, and we walked to a nearby pub for a glass of water. Abu-Sittah, a fifty-four-year-old British Palestinian with an angular face and tender, deep-set eyes, has treated child survivors of war for the past thirty years in Iraq, Yemen, Syria, and elsewhere. Abu-Sittah is the author of “The War Injured Child,” the first medical textbook on the subject, which was published last May. In October and November, he spent forty-three days in Gaza, conducting emergency surgeries with Doctors Without Borders. He shuttled between two hospitals: Al-Shifa and Al-Ahli, which is also known as the Baptist hospital. The casualty rate was so high that, during some intense periods, he didn’t leave the operating room for three days. “It felt like a scene from an American Civil War movie,” he said. In Gaza, Abu-Sittah was performing as many as six amputations a day. “Sometimes you have no other medical option,” he explained. “The Israelis had surrounded the blood bank, so we couldn’t do transfusions. If a limb was bleeding profusely, we had to amputate.” The dearth of basic medical supplies, owing to blockades, also contributed to the number of amputations. Without the ability to irrigate a wound immediately in an operating room, infection and gangrene often set in. “Every war wound is considered dirty,” Karin Huster, a nurse who leads medical teams in Gaza for Doctors Without Borders, told me. “It means that many get a ticket to the operating room.” To mark the gravity of these procedures, and to mourn, Abu-Sittah and other medical staff placed the severed limbs of children in small cardboard boxes. They labelled the boxes with masking tape, on which they wrote a name and body part, and buried them. At the pub, he showed me a photograph he’d taken of one such box, which read, “Salahadin, Foot.” Some wounded children were too young to know their own names, he added, telling the story of an amputee who’d been pulled from rubble as the sole survivor of an attack.
