I've always been curious to know this about the people around me. Most people have been in severe pain, but in my experience few have had what they would say is their 10/10 experience. I guess it's just something I find fascinating, as I had my 10/10 experience quite young and I sometimes forget that not everyone has. In my opinion it changes your relationship with pain and how you engage with it afterwards. If you answered yes, feel free to elaborate on your circumstances in the tags!

One thing I loved about Cali was how weed was legal and normalized and you could smoke in public without being treated like a criminal for practicing your God-given right of having dominion over the plants on Earth (personal usage of them is your dominion) and they had shops where you could buy the primo stuff for a fair, commercialized price, and there were people smokin' at the beach and walkin' down the street. In downtown Denver, CO...you could smell it in the air. It was like living a real, live dream come true!!! lmfeo Denver was by far the most weed-friendly city we visited during our road~tripping travels.

You didn't have to fear smoking there. You could smell it in the hotel lobby or the elevator. People didn't mind the smell like they do in other places. That was the cool vibe about Denver...it's like people knew to expect to see and smell weed there and they had absolutely zero qualms with it. #gocolorado #godenver #gobroncos

Funny enough though, the south-eastern region of the USA, Appalachia, and the east coast is the area of the USA where the weed~vibe is the least friendly and acceptable. That is entirely surprising to me because it's a region of North America that is incredibly furtile and perfect for growing...weed. It's kinda behind the times in the Bible Belt and they kinda needta get witha program.

"walkable cities" would be cool sure but, lets not forget other accessible features like wheelchair ramps and ya know

more benches and general places to sit because some people like me can't stand long without pain? . Is it really an accessible city if it only is "walkable" and caters to abled people? I don't think so. People seem to forget this fact when talking about the walkable cities talk I've noticed ..The disappearance of more and more benches to the point now to where there really are none (at least where I live unless its a park) is very disturbing.

actually while I think about it, I want to give a shout out to every congenitally disabled person whose disability was not discovered until they were a teenager or adult, and spent their entire lives up to that point being told they were lazy, stupid, uncoordinated, or not trying hard enough

hello, my name is leo, or more commonly known as ‘lav’ on here.

i’ve been dealing with debilitating chronic pain for over 10 years and i really need a wheelchair. i haven’t gotten much help from my healthcare system, being fat and afab has really fucked me over while trying to seek medical attention..

i am still fighting to completely figure out what’s wrong with me, but for now i know that i have several bulging discs in my lower back, as well as scoliosis. (as well as medically recognised POTS).

my pain is getting worse and worse, and i barely leave my home since walking and being upright in general hurts so much. a wheelchair would improve my life immensely, both physically and mentally.

i am currently on disability benefits, which pretty much is the lowest income group in sweden, and saving up for a wheelchair myself would take a very long time.. i will of course also be saving up as much as i can and putting into an account meant for wheelchair funds.

so i’m asking you to donate if you want to and if you are financially able to, and if not, please reblog this.

i have found a good chair that is also accessible to a fat person, and i need 7111 SEK (around 650$) to cover the cost of the chair & the shipping. i have started a gofundme that i’ll be sharing in this post, and i welcome all help, donating just a little helps, and reblogging and sharing the gofundme in general helps immensely too.

My pain doesn’t start or stop, I just remember/forget about it

Can’t decide what to bring up to your pcp first so you just never bring up That One Thing that you’ve always dealt with and keep forgetting isn’t normal

Thinking a mobility aid would help you but being afraid to voice that because people will think you’re exaggerating or start treating you differently

Being too drained to call and schedule an appointment even when you remember (and most of the time you forget)

Flare ups that leave you in tears and unable to move but it’s only happened a handful of times so it’s “probably fine”

Being so used to being tired that that one time you woke up well rested 4 months ago is still on your mind
