I worry a lot about a lot of things. Anxiety is often a close companion and it is easy to forget that it lies just as much as depression does. It's very easy for me to talk myself out of reaching out to friends I haven't heard from in a while because part of me worries that I'll be bothering them. It's easy to forget that they likely would just get joy out of the contact and be happy to hear from me.

I was thinking about this today because I got a DM from a friend I hadn't spoken with in a while. She wanted to share some songs with me that she'd recently discovered and thought I would love. And she was right, I did love them. There is something so incredibly powerful in feeling seen and loved. And so often all it takes is to share something with someone you love that made you think of them.

So here's a little reminder to go ahead and reach out. Tag your friends when you see stuff you think they'll love. DM, text, email, or call (depending on your tolerance for various forms of communication) them and share little moments with them. Sometimes it's those little moments that remind us we aren't as alone as we think.

The way the everyone talks about Assad is truly hilarious to me. Rolin Jones keeps throwing him into the deep end just because he believes in his ability. Eric and Luke agree that Assad is soooo nice and sweet but gets scary as fuck when he gets in-front of that camera. Sam saying watching him perform is "spine tingling".

And then you hear from Assad and he's just all "I was shitting myself the entire time, idk what I'm doing"

there are so many amazing and powerful benders in atla but what i love about zuko is that whether or not he can use his bending in that moment has zero (0) bearing on how much he’s going to absolutely kick your ass. no bending? that’s fine - he’s got swords. no swords or bending? that’s fine - he’s literally just going to beat you up. if you’re REALLY unlucky then you get all three. as a treat.

I was at the thrift store today and, as always, I ran my UV flashlight over the glassware to check for uranium glass. It's separated by color I usually only do some quick, broad waves over the reds/yellows/blues since uranium glass is usually clear, white, or green. I have found dyed uranium glass that was brown but fluoresced green and I thought that would probably be the rarest pieces in my collection for a while. Today I check a piece of reddish/yellow glass on total whim and:

IT'S CADMIUM GLASS!!! Like, uranium glass, it fluoresces under blacklight but it glows orange instead of green and is SUPER rare, even compared to the already rare uranium glass!
