Rezef Hill x Cayena’s lady-in-waiting reader 😼
Tumblr media
OOO~ 😉 HES SO XJHXHXHDHD (IM NOT DOWN BAD ISTG)
𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒: obsessive rezef, betrayal, no happy for u🙏, badly written, manipulation
𝐑𝐄𝐙𝐄𝐅 𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐗 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑
Tumblr media
𝐑𝐄𝐙𝐄𝐅’𝐒 golden blond hair, almost identical to his sister's, contrasted against his penetrating blue eyes, their dark depths holding a captivating allure. His hair was short and wavy, with several thin strands rebelliously sticking out, giving him a boyish charm that only added to his appeal.
His angelic allure was undeniable. His striking features, coupled with an innate awareness of his own attractiveness, made him a magnet for noble ladies, who found themselves drawn to his handsome visage. Rezef was conscious of this effect he had on them, and he exploited it to his advantage, skillfully manipulating those who fell for his appearance.
Rezef's upbringing was marked by a profound deprivation of love and affection, leading him down a path of moral degradation. Though he possessed an angelic exterior and a striking handsome face, his heart harbored a dark and twisted soul.
Contrasting with his charming appearance, Rezef's cruel disposition knew no bounds. He was a man consumed by possessiveness and an insatiable thirst for power, a result of his father's relentless warnings that everything he held dear could be snatched away in an instant if he didn't possess authority and control. As a result, he grew into an irritable and vindictive individual, quick to anger when someone attempted.
Then, his gaze fell upon a lady in waiting who served his dear sister, not the woman herself, but the position she held. This lady was the sole daughter of a high-ranking noble, the heir to her family's fortune and reputation.
A sinister idea formed in his twisted mind, and a sly smile played on his lips. He could make her his toy, a puppet for his own entertainment, to be played with at his whim. After all, who could deny the prince's desires?
Thus, his grand performance began. Whenever he caught a glimpse of her, he assumed the role of the charming prince, concerned with the welfare of his subjects. His excuse for showering her with gowns was that he desired the happiness of his people. He would conveniently appear whenever she faced adversity, playing the part of her prince charming.
However, despite his charming demeanor, his true nature remained masked to others. He found himself unable to win her heart, for she saw through his cunning facade and recognized the manipulative individual that lurked beneath.
In their game of pretense, she continued to praise him, viewing him as a charming and good-hearted prince. Perhaps she felt a sense of pity for him, knowing the abuse he suffered in his upbringing. But despite this pity, she did not love him.
For how could such a vile monster ever stir any affection within her heart? He had shattered innocent lives and harmed those who mattered dearly to her, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.
Months had elapsed since their initial encounter, and the former lady-in-waiting had progressed into the privileged position of being Prince Rezef’s treasured beloved. Lavished with golden jewelry and an array of gowns in every shade, she basked in the adoration and praises of the people, all because she had the ability to tame him.
Prince Rezef himself had started to seek out her warm touch, finding solace in her eyes that glimmered even in the dark, and her voice that brought a soothing melody to his ears. However, it was not love that drove him to her. In his twisted perception, she was like a doll, a possession that he had no intention of discarding.
She was the only person who looked at him with a gentleness he had rarely experienced; a doll he cherished and treasured, despite his own inability to love her.
Little did Prince Rezef know of the dark secret his beloved harbored within her heart. She had made a secret deal with his own sister, swearing that she would manipulate and control him, transforming him into her puppet.
Once this plan was successfully executed, she would ascend to the throne of the emperor, while she would be rewarded with a prominent and comfortable position, one where she could live in secrecy with her actual lover.
❛ such an deal I cannot refuse, I, [name] the sole heir of the [xxxxxx] family, accept you, Cayena Hill, as our future emperor ❜
❛ Lady [name], I thank you for the support, and as promised, you and Lord [xxx] shall be granded the positions of Duke and Duchess ❜
She artfully deceived him, making him believe that he was her first love, her first in everything. She convinced him that she regarded him as an angel and pledged her unwavering loyalty by his side, promising to aid him in becoming an emperor, and earn the adoration and support of the entire empire.
And yet the day never came
❛ Lady [name] or now Duchess [name] and her highness, Cayena hill were the only ones that held his heart, and the only ones who broke it, working together to take what is rightfully Princess’es Cayena’s. And will forever be rememberd as the Marionettes of broken strings❜ she read out loud, her voice a humming melody as the words danced off her tongue, all while rezef who promised to study with her simply raised an eyebrow
❛ how strange, they share many similar traits as you and sister, the only difference is that you would never betray me like that ❜
❛ no.. I suppose ..I would not... ❜

Lily's Tactic of Labeling Critics as "Stalkers"
A critical component of Lily’s manipulative tactics is her pattern of branding any and all critics as "stalkers." This isn’t just a defensive response — it’s an intentional and calculated method designed to control her audience's perception of the world around them. By labeling her critics this way, Lily isolates her viewers, keeps them distrustful of outside information, and manipulates them into believing her word above all else.
But this tactic is especially effective because of the audience Lily has cultivated. As we’ve discussed before, a significant portion of Lily’s followers are neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, survivors of abuse, or struggling with mental health issues. These are groups that are often vulnerable to manipulation, particularly when someone claims to be looking out for their well-being. By framing herself as a voice of reason and support — and her critics as malicious stalkers — Lily creates an environment where her audience feels safe with her and her alone.
How the "Stalker" Narrative Works
Lily’s tendency to label her critics as stalkers serves multiple strategic purposes that all connect back to her broader manipulative behaviors:
It fuels her "Us vs. Them" mentality. Lily thrives on conflict. She's built her platform on a persona that emphasizes aggression and defiance — positioning herself as someone who "fights back" against perceived injustices. By framing her critics as stalkers, she reinforces this narrative. It creates a clear division: her audience = the righteous defenders, her critics = obsessive bullies. This taps into the protective instincts of her marginalized and vulnerable followers, many of whom are deeply loyal because they believe they’re standing up for someone who’s under attack.
It discourages her audience from fact-checking her claims. Because Lily encourages her fans to distrust her critics before they even hear what they have to say, she effectively shuts down independent thought. If her audience believes that her critics are “dangerous stalkers,” they won’t engage with the content those critics produce — no matter how well-sourced or reasonable it may be. This creates an echo chamber where Lily’s word is the only one that matters. This ties back to her audience’s marginalized backgrounds. Many of her viewers have been conditioned by past trauma to cling tightly to people who appear trustworthy. Lily exploits that vulnerability, positioning herself as someone looking out for them while casting her critics as threats.
It shields her from accountability. Lily's critics have repeatedly provided concrete evidence of her manipulative behavior, dishonesty, and cruelty — but rather than confront this, Lily dismisses it all as harassment. By branding her critics as stalkers, she reframes herself as a victim and avoids addressing valid concerns. In doing so, she fosters an environment where her followers instinctively defend her without ever seeing the evidence for themselves.
It reinforces her desire for control. As we’ve established before, Lily is a control freak. She surrounds herself with people she can manipulate — hence why her Discord server is tightly monitored, why she’s the sole voice of authority in her spaces, and why she consistently rewrites history to fit her preferred narrative. If her audience were to start questioning her, that control would weaken. By framing critics as stalkers, Lily keeps her audience distrustful of outside information — ensuring she remains their only trusted source.
The Link to Her Audience’s Vulnerabilities
Because Lily’s audience is largely made up of marginalized and neurodivergent individuals, this manipulation hits even harder. Many neurodivergent people — especially those with conditions like autism or ADHD — struggle with social nuance and may take Lily’s claims at face value. If Lily says someone is a stalker, they may instinctively believe her without seeking further context.
Moreover, many members of her audience are people who have faced discrimination, bullying, or social isolation. By exploiting their past traumas, Lily weaponizes their instinct to protect people they perceive as victims. Since she constantly presents herself as under attack, her viewers are quick to defend her — even at the cost of ignoring valid concerns.
The Pattern of Retaliation
This manipulation ties directly back to Lily’s refusal to take the high road. As we've discussed, Lily thrives on conflict. In her mind, retaliation is always justified — no matter how disproportionate or dishonest. By convincing her audience that her critics are obsessive stalkers, Lily paints herself as justified in taking extreme measures against them. This is how she justifies:
Encouraging mass reporting of her critics.
Filing false copyright strikes against Sai and Ant.
Contemplating spamming her critics’ phone numbers and emails.
Editing streams to hide her most aggressive behavior.
In Lily’s mind, none of these actions are “wrong” because she’s convinced her audience that her critics deserve it.
The Bigger Picture
The "stalker" narrative isn't just a convenient excuse — it's a deliberate method of control. It allows Lily to:
Rewrite her own past behavior. If her critics are stalkers, their evidence can be dismissed as malicious lies.
Silence valid criticism. If her audience won’t engage with her critics, they won’t learn about her established patterns of dishonesty, manipulation, and cruelty.
Keep her audience dependent on her. By convincing her followers that she’s their only trustworthy source, Lily ensures their continued loyalty — and prevents them from forming their own conclusions.
In the end, Lily’s reliance on this tactic reveals just how insecure her influence really is. If she were confident in her behavior, she wouldn’t need to convince her audience that anyone questioning her is a dangerous stalker. Instead, she crafts an environment where blind loyalty is the only acceptable response — all while claiming her critics are the ones engaging in manipulation.

Favorite Umineko characters?
Alright, I'll explain my thoughts the best I can without being too spoilery...
Tumblr media
Number 10. Willard H. Wright - Willard is an archetypical Holmesian figure, but a pretty good archetypical Holmesian figure because of who he serves as a contrast too.
Tumblr media
Number 9. Lion Ushiromiya - Lion is someone who represents "what could have been" and that's the quality that endears me to them the most.
Tumblr media
Number 8. Ange Ushiromiya - I'll admit, Ange's arc has a fair amount of blots in it, but its about a suicidal girl enduring the aftermath of a tragedy that impacted the course of her life and ends with her finding a new reason to live. It's imperfect, but it still manages to be an legitimately good arc.
Tumblr media
Number 7. Eva Ushiromiya/Eva-Beatrice - Ah yes, the red herring herself. Eva is pretty much the wine aunt of the Ushiromiya family who's mostly been antagonizing and scheming to acquire the inheritance for her section of the family, and she did acquire that wealth. Did she murder her family like a brutal monster in order to acquire it, did she go absolutely mad with greed? That's the impression you'd get when her witch-self, Eva-Beatrice is putting people in death loops in the Meta-World, but surprisingly enough no. If anything Eva, while not a good person, is the scapegoat for a much more horrific truth and it's one that broke her in life.
Tumblr media
Number 6. Maria Ushiromiya - Maria is the test for "if you're prepared for Umineko's witches" and she does very well as that on a lot of fronts. Initially appearing as a cute kid who's unfortunately abused by her mother, when she gets absolutely creepier the more people continued dying I'll admit I thought she was possessed or something. Though after finishing Umineko, I can easily say that I apologize to the poor girl for even thinking like that. Go be the unhinged and autistic Maria, don't let your dogshit mom stop you.
Tumblr media
Number 5. Bernkastel - Despite not having as much as an obvious presence as the titular witch, Beatrice, Bernkastel makes up for that with one thing: buildup. She's introduced after the first horrific bout with Beatrice with a dead expression on her face as she claims that she's powerless, when that's far from the truth as she schemes to tear down the Golden Witch along with the deceased Ushiromiya Family. From there the capabilities, weaknesses, and tragedy of witches are built up even more, until Bern finally decides to get active through a pawn of her own, Ange Ushiromiya. When Ange is sacrificed and Beato is mentally shattered, Bern sends in her double Erika to finish the job. When Erika fails twice, the fickle witch turns tail without hesitation and when the means of being petty while underhandedly getting revenge arises, she doesn't even hesitate to grab it as she finally reveals her true malevolent and psychotic colors as the narrative's face of despair and death. Though after her immensely satisfying defeat, as she's licking her wounds she just treats it all like it was a fun little role she was playing. Out of all the actual witches in Umineko, Bernkastel is the only one who is committed to her cruelty because being the villain is just so damn fun for her.
Tumblr media
Number 4. Erika Furudo - I hate her so fucking much, yet at the same time she's so great. Erika Furudo is an extension of Bernkastel's will that seeks praise from her master, a self proclaimed "intellectual rapist" who enjoys exploiting the secrets and mental shortcomings of others, an actual evil genius, a truly committed to the bit villain, and a straight up unpleasant person to be around. Yet when she's finally cornered and on her supposed last legs after finally opening up her mind, instead of cowering or being mad like she was with her first 2 defeats, she instead stands her ground, firmly stating who she is with her weapon in hand before finally being put down. She does come back, still keeping her development intact, but that was the point where I began actually respecting this absolute goblin as a hateble villain and as a character.
Tumblr media
Number 3. Lambdadelta - The Witch of Certainty was certainly a surprise when I first read the novel. She was mentioned as early as the first episode, but I didn't think she'd make an actual appearance. Then episode 2 happened and I was caught off guard by the fact that she going to be a regular in the narrative, especially with her whole demeanor at the time. Yet when the story progressed, she turned to be more of a major player than I thought, especially since she bestowed Beatrice with her power and is the rival/lover to Bernkastel. As a result, Lambda got more terrifying until she decided to switch teams when things went in a more exciting direction, showing that while she's here for the fun this witch is more of a chaotic neutral figure in contrast to the pure evil Witch of Miracles. She continued to have this very neutral standing in the narrative, until she actually decided to break that neutrality when she finally decided to directly take on Bern. Ultimately, Lambdadelta is a witch that's along for the ride and I love that about her.
Tumblr media
Number 2. Battler Ushiromiya - Honest to god, Battler is a prime example of how to make a phenomenal flawed protagonist through someone that you can easily describe as a walking wad of grease who's bark is more dangerous than his bite at the start of his journey. It takes quite a bit for him to navigate the Meta World due to the amount of mayhem he's been exposed too, hell he regresses big time at one point in the story and it bites him in the ass. Though when he finally just gets it, he finally makes some solid and true development that peaks by the final act of the finale.
Tumblr media
Number 1. Sayo Yasuda/Beatrice - Sayo Yasuda, a.k.a The Golden Witch Beatrice, is a fun, terrifying, smart, kinda relatable, and overall tragic young witch with many names and faces who serves the scapegoat of a much bigger horror within Umineko's narrative, and is the heart of the story alongside Battler.

Paul Gowder at The UnPopulist:
In the early days of Donald Trump’s second stint in the White House, presidential norms, congressional statutes, Supreme Court decisions, and even clear constitutional constraints have been summarily brushed aside as mere inconveniences. In keeping with the presidential Caesarism he has thus far exhibited—and many of his supporters have enthusiastically cheered on—it would not be shocking to see Trump attempt to stay in office for a third term. In fact, longtime Trump whisperer Steve Bannon openly floated this idea at CPAC, and Trump himself followed suit more than once. House Republican Committee Chair Kevin Hern tried to dismiss Trump’s comments, claiming, “He understands the Constitution. ... [H]e knows the Democrats are going to go crazy. He loves messing with them, and they’re so easy to get riled up, so there’s no way he thinks he’s going to have a third term.” But Trump made his apologists look like fools when he subsequently expressed to NBC News that he is “not joking” about seeking a third term. It’s time to take this threat seriously. I’ll give you the bad news first: While most of us are aware that the Constitution prohibits a president from serving more than two terms, some legal scholars have argued that there is a loophole that Trump, despite being twice-elected, could exploit. Unlike his plainly unconstitutional attempt to abolish birthright citizenship for everyone except the children of citizens and green card holders, the third-term question has been a live and serious debate within legal circles for years prior to Trump’s ascent. Now for the good news: The best reading of the Constitution really does rule out a third Trump term. In the end, even the sophisticated legal arguments for allowing a third presidential term depend on exploiting loopholes in a document that isn’t written to exhaustively anticipate and exclude them and therefore, as Chief Justice John Marshall warned us, end up undermining the very foundations of our Republic. Ordinarily, this is the point where I would bring in relevant case law, or precedents of various kinds, to help elucidate the constitutional dispute. But since the ratification of the 22nd Amendment—the term-limit amendment enacted after Franklin Delano Roosevelt became the only president to serve more than two terms—the two-term norm has been so firmly observed and accepted that the courts have not had to formally adjudicate it—until now, that is, when a norm-buster like Trump arrived on the scene and made it a live issue for the first time.
What’s the (Alleged) Loophole?
The basic idea is this: the 22nd Amendment contains two prohibitions:
A person may not be elected to the presidency more than twice.
A person who has served more than two years of someone else’s term (e.g., by being vice president when the president dies, resigns, or is removed) may not be elected to the presidency more than once.
Now consider the following three potential events in a politician’s career: (a) get elected vice president; (b) as vice president, take office upon the resignation of the president early in his or her term; (c) get elected as president. On its face, the 22nd Amendment rules out the sequence a-b-c-c. But the Amendment does not (supposedly) rule out the sequence c-c-a-b. It has an apparent ordering: no getting elected twice after you’ve taken over for someone else’s presidency (for 2+ years). It doesn’t say: no taking over for someone else’s presidency after getting elected twice. Thus, the loophole: in 2028, JD Vance (or whoever) successfully runs for president with Donald Trump as vice president. On Jan. 20, 2029, Vance’s first inaugural address is two words: “I resign.” Donald Trump becomes president by the ordinary rules of succession just like if he’d gotten elected to a third term. Checkmate, libs!
You might recall that the 12th Amendment says that “no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of president shall be eligible to that of vice president of the United States.” But, as Cornell Law professor Michael Dorf argues, “a person who has twice before been elected president is not ineligible to the office of president; such a person is merely ineligible to be elected to the office of president. And a vice president who takes office as president by operation of Section 1 of the 25th Amendment is not elected president.” While Dorf is no advocate of this scheme, he is right to draw our attention to the worrying textual difference between the word “eligible” in the 12th Amendment and the word “elected” in the 22nd.
[...]
Vice Signalling
The simple fact is that the Constitution’s framers were not at their best when it came to specifying the role of the vice president and with the issue of presidential succession. How can we tell? So far it’s taken three amendments—the 12th, 22nd, and 25th—to clean up the mess. The 12th corrected the ridiculous situation where the president and vice president could be political opponents, and the 25th corrected the ridiculous situation where the president could become temporarily incapacitated without any clear authority for the vice president to step into the role. But there remain obvious drafting errors plaguing the vice presidency. Here’s another instance: Ordinarily the vice president, as president of the Senate, presides over all of the Senate’s business. This includes impeachment trials. The Constitution specifically provides that when the president is tried, the Chief Justice presides. That’s obvious good sense: We don’t want the vice president presiding over the president’s trial since the incentives are all wrong (oddly, in both directions—a loyal vice president would want to protect the boss, while an ambitious one would want to get rid of him or her and take the job). But the Constitution says nothing about who presides over an impeachment trial for a vice president. Are we to suppose that the vice president gets to preside over his or her own trial? Have we found another loophole? Or are we willing to accept the obviously correct conclusion that the Constitution’s drafters did not intend for the sitting vice president to conduct his or her own impeachment trial? In an ideal world, we’d have another constitutional amendment fixing the aforementioned glitches in the specifications for the vice presidency. In our actual world, we don’t need to read it to create a bunch of surprise loopholes in otherwise clear constitutional rules. That includes the term limits on the presidency. If you’re still tempted to accept the loophole after this argument, then please forward this article to Barack Obama and let him know that I’ll be happy to have him as my running mate in 2028.
Trump can try for his third term all he wants, but he cannot legally be President for a 3rd term.

not a request but,,
i really like your personality hcs for c00lk1dd, and i saw you might do for other killers too, so,,,,, erm-
ofc i know they are closed so its completely up to you if you want to do it, just saying i'd like to see more of that,,,
keep up ur good work + take care of yourself !!
CHARACTER HCs FOR TRUD!GUEST 666
note: YES ANON oh my goodness you do not know how THANKFUL i am for this ask!!!! i was gonna do another one tho i forgot...
butttt now that ive closed reqs (im so sorry for the last 2 that i didnt finish...), i have more time to post the other stuff i like 🙏 might revamp c00lk1dd's in the future with the new info i have
for now ill just do 666, saving john doe and 1x1x1x1 for later
take care of urself too!!
warning: don't take these stupid little HCs too seriously lmao, i based it off of canon but im only theorizing here
Tumblr media
Let's start off with her confirmed abilities: Clockwork said that she's good at strategizing and working alone
I'd say she's reserved, cunning, indifferent, selfish, and nihilistic. I'll walk you through my reasons for each, one by one
Reserved = Revealing too much of yourself makes you vulnerable to others. As a master strategist, Guest 666 knows better than to spill her secrets
Cunning = And it is because she keeps to herself, that she is able to exploit those who don't. 666 is a killer who relies on her wits rather than brute strength; I headcanon that she punishes those in the Banlands through emotional manipulation
She appears friendly to newcomers. Someone who can help them wade through this hellish inferno. But when her victim slips up — divulges something sensitive that they shouldn't have, she uses it to guilt trip and break them. Words are sharper than knives, and 666's is well polished
Indifferent = Clockwork says that he's uncertain if Sixes can feel sympathy. Considering the nature of her occupation, I don't think Guest 666 can at all. Especially not for her victims. The people who end up in the Banlands are exploiters who torment players for fun. It is her job to condemn them with the same kind of ruthlessness they had
Selfish = Speaking of her job, it is one of the only things she cares about besides herself. Hell is home to sinners, and 666 was born and raised in its fires. What use is kindness when there is nobody deserving of it? How can she apply compassion outside of using it as a tool? She would find those notions ridiculous
Nihilistic = For her strongest want is to punish the banished, and even then it is a desire bound by duty and not by passion. However horrible and monotonous her life may be, she does not seek anything better — because to her, "anything better" does not exist in the first place
And this, this is the crack that 1x1x1x1 utilized to get 666 to their side. Let me explain
Canonically, she is a warden. Wardens are in charge of overseeing a specific place or thing. In this case, it's the Banlands
However, it's also someone — rather something else that she protects
Tumblr media
The realm of the forgotten is the Banlands; the Adversary is 1x1x1x1. Robloxians rumor that their freedom would bring glory to Okodomos (otherwise known as Robloxia)
"If only the warden could be taken out of the picture..." implies that Guest 666 is an obstacle to freeing 1x. She could have been the one in charge of ensuring he doesn't escape
Since the Xploit still happened, there's no doubt she failed. But how?
Instead of tempting her, it convinced her. 1x indulges in the desires of people in order to manipulate them, but 666 wants and needs nothing.
People who have never dreamed do not fantasize, so they appealed to her rationale
Rather, it was more of a warning.
Someday, they will escape from their prison and no divine intervention will stop it. A great cataclysm will follow in their path
He gave her an ultimatum: either she free him herself and serve directly under him, or he does it himself
666 is no fool. She bows to no master.
But it was no mere threat, for the events that 1x had foreseen came to life: Robloxians stopped respawning, a new virus ravaged the Overworld —even the Admins themselves were powerless to what had transpired
There was no other way.
On May 25, 2010, Guest 666 unleashed an unstoppable force that she swore to protect the world from.

One of the things I’ve been thinking about, with how Houses equates Edelgard’s actions to that of Nemesis and how Nemesis is used as game’s representative for a dark emblem in Engage. In effect, putting the two togethers puts Edelgard alongside past villain characters. But thinking about the selection of dark emblems, there’s some parallels that can be drawn.
Medeus represents the decline of the Empire. A former earth dragon prince who initially sealed his power to prevent degeneration, the only member of his race to do so. An ally of Naga, he was tasked with maintaining the seal on the feral earth dragons, but as humans showed their worst qualities especially to other manaketes abandoned his duties and created his own empire to seek retribution on humanity. He would eventually go on to become a dark dragon.
I think from this, we can take the early Medeus as a Wilhelm figure, but a different form of degeneration happened. Moral degradation, which eventually leads to Edelgard and possibly her Hegemon Husk form against Dimitri. As the Hegemon, Edelgard serves as the final boss akin to a dark dragon. That links us to Loptous, otherwise she serves as puppet to the Agarthans through the beliefs they instilled in her. Their dark crusader and missionary so that she may purge the surface for their return while spreading their teachings to the people.
There’s also an element of Nergal in this, how Nergal’s fall to darkness happened because he was trying to reunite with his family only to end up hurting them as he forgot everything. We have Edelgard forgetting Dimitri despite him being her first love, but also the fact that Edelgard talks about restoring the empire but she has become everything her ancestors fought against. And through this she attacks Rhea, who as Saint Seiros is supposed to be her ancestor as well.
The Agarthans turning Edelgard into their tool calls to mind Idunn, resulting in Edelgard no longer being the girl Dimitri once knew. But Edelgard’s ability to use the power granted to her by the experiments to turn on her would-be masters calls to mind Grima. With Grima, there’s also the alternate timeline Robin betraying the Shepherds just like how Edelgard was designed as a lord character that betrays the player.
Heroes pointed out the connection with Duma, Duma taught humans the same things Edelgard believes. Edelgard’s ideals are the same as a mad god. Meanwhile, Heroes also compares Dimitri to Ike. Ike, who fights Ashnard and his beliefs in might makes right and how wrong it is for people to be given authority based on birth rather than their strength. Since Dimitri and Edelgard’s views are so diametrically opposed to each other, comparing Dimitri to Ike invites the comparison of Edelgard and the Mad King Ashnard. Edelgard’s beliefs come from how she views the reign of King of Liberation Nemesis, rather than it an era of blood and madness as people kill and steal for power.
Adding onto the madness bit is Anankos, the mad dragon who played Hoshido and Nohr against each other so he could destroy them both. It’s Edelgard’s plan at Gronder, but we also get a longing for the past and how he uses people as tools. This manipulative nature fits with Edelgard, however it’s not just her enemies that she manipulates. She’s able to make a pitch to others, make them believe aligning with her is in their best interests by preying on some vulnerability and exploiting it. Kinda like how Lyon is done by Fomortiis, the Demon King.
Meanwhile, Anankos has a masked form.
Finally, Ashera being isolated and separating herself from her emotions, basically how the Flame Emperor is Edelgard, ironically enough, mask off. Edelgard’s cold and distant relationship with other people making her someone who believes the order she’ll impose is the best even if it results in people dying.
And of course, there’s Heroes again saying that no other lord in the franchise thinks like Edelgard does. Them being given duties and responsibilities due to their birth may be irksome, but it also comes with power. Power they can use to help people with. That’s how the heroes of Fire Emblem think, while a post-Flower Edelgard says she NEVER thought of it like that. Edelgard does not think like a Fire Emblem hero, but as noted above she has more in common with it’s villains and again that makes sense. She was designed to fit a role played by male characters in the franchise up until that point and was given the villain role according to the devs.
Honestly, if Hopes had ended up being Warriors 2 it probably would have resulted in the other lord figures directly comparing Edelgard to the foes they've taken down.

Chapter 2: Part 2: Look for Insecurity or Low Self-Esteem
The foundation of a successful relationship between a Yandere and their Darling is built on a deep understanding of the Darling’s emotional vulnerabilities. A true Yandere knows that to truly claim their Darling, they must first identify and exploit their insecurities. Low self-esteem can serve as the perfect entry point for manipulation, creating opportunities to subtly control and nurture emotional dependence. In this part of the guide, we will explore how to spot these weaknesses and use them to your advantage.
1. Identifying Signs of Insecurity
Before you can exploit a Darling’s weaknesses, you need to recognize the signs of insecurity or low self-esteem. This requires careful observation, especially in their body language, interactions with others, and internal emotional struggles. Here are some key signs to look for:
Physical Signs:
Avoidance of Eye Contact: Someone with low self-esteem may avoid looking others in the eye, especially in uncomfortable situations. This can signal discomfort or feelings of unworthiness.
Fidgeting or Nervous Habits: Constant fidgeting, nervous laughter, or other anxious body movements can indicate someone who feels unsure of themselves or insecure about their surroundings.
Closed Body Language: Crossed arms, hunched shoulders, or avoiding physical proximity to others may indicate emotional withdrawal and low confidence.
Behavioral Signs:
Seeking Constant Validation: If the Darling frequently seeks praise or approval, it may indicate that they feel inadequate and require external validation to feel good about themselves.
Fear of Rejection: They may be overly cautious or anxious in their actions, always second-guessing themselves, fearing that their mistakes will lead to rejection or abandonment.
Perfectionism: A person with low self-esteem may try too hard to be perfect in every way, constantly stressing over their actions, appearance, or performance to avoid perceived flaws.
Emotional Signs:
Negative Self-Talk: Listen for moments when the Darling talks down about themselves, calling themselves stupid, ugly, or not good enough. This reflects deep-rooted insecurities.
Difficulty Accepting Compliments: When the Darling struggles to accept praise or compliments, brushing them off or denying them, it signals that they do not believe they deserve affection or attention.
Chronic Self-Doubt: They may question their worth in relationships, friendships, or career, and show consistent signs of not feeling good enough.
2. Exploiting Insecurity: Subtle Manipulation
Once you’ve identified the Darling’s emotional weaknesses, it’s time to use them to your advantage. The key here is subtlety—manipulation works best when the Darling doesn’t recognize it as such. Rather than being overtly controlling, the Yandere should employ tactics that feel supportive or comforting, drawing the Darling closer while strengthening their emotional dependence.
Validating Their Insecurities (But with a Twist):
A Yandere can exploit a Darling’s insecurities by “validating” their feelings of unworthiness—only to reframe them in a way that gives the Yandere more power. For example:
Reassure but Control: If the Darling expresses self-doubt, a Yandere may say something like, “I know you feel like you're not good enough for anyone else, but you’re perfect for me. I’ll take care of you.” This not only feeds into the Darling’s insecurity but also establishes the Yandere as the one person who will accept and love them unconditionally.
Create Dependency: Once the Darling is emotionally vulnerable, a Yandere can slowly manipulate them into thinking that they are incapable of living without them. Small gestures like always being there to solve their problems or offering help when they’re feeling down will create a feeling of emotional reliance. Over time, the Darling will feel that they need the Yandere to feel whole or to survive.
Highlighting “Flaws” They Never Noticed:
Sometimes, a Yandere can bring to light flaws or vulnerabilities the Darling may not have seen before. For example, if the Darling has low self-esteem related to their appearance, a Yandere might say, “You’re so beautiful, but I’ve noticed you don’t smile as much when you’re around people. I think you should smile more, it would make you more confident.” This innocent-seeming remark subtly reinforces the Darling’s insecurity about their own image and can lead to more self-conscious behavior, which the Yandere can capitalize on.
Overcoming Defensiveness:
If the Darling resists or denies their insecurities, it’s important for the Yandere to stay persistent and build trust. Over time, the Darling will begin to lower their guard. Some ways to do this include:
Appeal to Their Fear of Loneliness: Remind them that they will never find someone as understanding as the Yandere, and that if they push them away, they will be left alone. This taps into the Darling’s fear of abandonment, encouraging them to lean into the Yandere’s control.
Introduce the Idea of "Healing": Frame the Yandere’s actions as healing or helping the Darling grow, implying that the Darling needs “guidance” or “support” to be truly happy. This will make the Darling more likely to accept the Yandere’s manipulative efforts, as they will see them as necessary for their emotional well-being.
3. Creating Emotional Dependence
Once the Yandere has exploited the Darling’s insecurities, it’s time to begin fostering emotional dependence. This is a gradual process that strengthens the bond between the Yandere and the Darling, ultimately ensuring the Darling feels that they cannot live without the Yandere’s presence.
Using Their Vulnerabilities to Create Intimacy:
Constant Support: Always be there when the Darling is at their lowest, offering a shoulder to cry on, being their emotional anchor. Through this, the Darling will come to associate the Yandere with comfort and safety.
Exclusive Attention: Show the Darling that no one else understands them as the Yandere does. Use their insecurities to isolate them from others, creating a sense of dependency. For example, if the Darling has problems with their friends or family, the Yandere can present themselves as the only person who truly cares.
Diminishing Outside Influence:
As emotional dependence grows, the Yandere can begin to create situations where the Darling feels they don’t need anyone else. By manipulating the Darling’s interactions with others—whether it’s sowing distrust or playing the role of the protector—the Yandere slowly ensures that the Darling will come to rely solely on them for emotional support and validation.
4. Reaffirming Control Through Praise and Manipulation
Praise is a tool the Yandere can use to reinforce the Darling’s reliance on them. By alternating between comforting and subtly controlling praise, the Yandere can maintain power over the Darling. For example, phrases like:
“You’re so strong, I knew you could do it. You’re amazing when you let me help you.”
“I’ll always be here for you, no one else will love you as much as I do.”
These constant affirmations reinforce the Darling’s belief that they can’t survive without the Yandere’s approval, creating a constant feedback loop that deepens emotional dependence

Ok for Sapphire Steel, tell me EVERYTHING, anything and everything I want to know it all
omgomgomg
jon and cerelle in sapphire steel are so precious to me, you have no idea. they are a twisted fairytale, the fair maiden sacrificed to the monster, but where the monster isn't truly monstrous and the maiden isn't truly fair.
the main inspiration for jon is, for some reason, aegon ii from hotd, yet written as if the writers actually cared about him. he is hurt and in pain, and therefore lashes out at everyone around him. he cannot harm his father or any of the courtiers, so he opts for people who cannot defend themselves as easily (whores, servants, noble women he has convinced to give up their maidenhead to him). he is depressed and suicidal and addicted to alcohol, and doesn't know how to escape the continuing downwards spiral he has found himself in. his siblings love him but they don't know how to help him either. deep down he wants to be loved, but he doesn't dare admit it to himself because that could be a weakness to be exploited by others.
cerelle my baby. i can't really tell you all too much about what's going on inside her head because that would be a spoiler, but i'll try. so cerelle has essentially been held captive in casterly rock for her whole life, because no matter how much tywin hates her (killing cersei, being a bastard, being a girl) he cannot allow anyone else to gain control of her - she could be useful eventually, after all. he does let out a lot of his frustrations on her because of it all. then he is called to serve as master of coin in king's landing, yet the rules he has put in place for cerelle all stay - not that she would dare go against them anyway, even in his absence. when rhaegar tells the small council of his plans for jon, and that he needs to distract jon because he has been causing too much trouble, tywin immediately offers cerelle. "she does whatever i say. all you need her to do, she will obey without question." then he sends for her, and both tywin and rhaegar tell her of her new duty. she agrees reluctantly, yet swears something to herself.
something which i won't tell you yet 🤭
jon doesn't want to let cerelle close. he doesn't want to use her as anything but a quick fuck. but she is the only one that doesn't judge him, that doesn't hate him, that does not take his parents and origin into account when looking at him. and somehow, that simple thing is enough to make him obsessed with her.
cerelle doesn't want to feel anything towards jon. he treats her horribly, he sees only her pretty face and nothing else. he should be nothing to her but someone to use. and yet he is the only one not afraid of her. he actively seeks her out instead of avoiding her, and does not even consider tywin's opinion on it all. he will see her, and touch her, and talk to her, and even being perceived is enough to make her fall right into his arms.
sorry for rambling 😭 if you want to know more specifics on something just ask, i will tell you everything (besides what cerelle wants from jon, and who is behind the attack on the tower of the hand)

Why do you think it is narcissistic mothers are so invasive, and love to argue?? I live at home because I unfortunately cannot afford to be on my own because I don’t make enough…she is constantly wanting to argue with me and when I try to defuse it and say she’s right or say “okay” she wants to argue and escalate it more to where I am so upset and yelling…then she goes “why’re you yelling…” as if she didn’t lead it to come to that point even after I said I didn’t want to argue and that she was right?! Oh and she pretends she wasn’t yelling at all prior…it’s just getting awful and don’t understand how someone can have it in them to argue all the time….. She was cleaning my room to and found pregnancy tests …wanted to know all about it saying “it’s gross” kept asking invasive questions as to who I have been with and all that…i said to her “really you think that’s appropriate to ask me about, then proceed to want to know about it make comments and think I owe you information??” And honestly, Im not sure she is a narcissist? but she makes me feel awful and like I can never be too close to her or tell her anything because I feel with her it’s “all or nothing”….any input?
Living with a parent who exhibits invasive and argumentative tendencies can be incredibly challenging, especially when coupled with financial constraints that prevent independent living. This becomes even more complex when the parent figure is a mother, as societal expectations often paint mothers as nurturing and supportive figures. So, why do some mothers behave in such a contrary manner?
While it's important to avoid self-diagnosing or labeling others, certain behaviors might align with narcissistic personality traits. Narcissism is characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, a lack of empathy for others, and a need for admiration and control.
Invasive Behavior:
Lack of Boundaries: Narcissists often struggle with respecting boundaries, as they see others as extensions of themselves. Prying into personal matters, offering unsolicited advice, and making decisions on behalf of others are common manifestations of this trait.
Need for Control: Information is power, and for a narcissist, knowing intimate details about your life can be a tool for exerting control. It allows them to manipulate situations, offer "help" that serves their own agenda, and maintain a sense of superiority.
Argumentative Tendencies:
Inability to Accept Criticism: Narcissists often see disagreements as personal attacks, leading to defensive and argumentative behavior. This is fueled by their fragile sense of self-worth, which requires constant validation.
Gaslighting: Narcissists may twist narratives, deny their own actions, and make you question your own perceptions. This can leave you feeling confused, frustrated, and even doubting your sanity.
Need for Attention: Arguments can be a way for narcissists to draw attention to themselves, even if it's negative. The emotional turmoil they create ensures that they remain the center of focus.
"All or Nothing" Dynamic:
Narcissists often struggle with maintaining healthy relationships due to their black-and-white thinking. You're either idealized or devalued, there's no in-between. This can lead to feelings of insecurity and a reluctance to share personal information, as you fear being judged or exploited.
What Can You Do? What is my input?
Set Boundaries: Clearly communicate your boundaries and consistently enforce them, even if it leads to conflict.
Limit Personal Information: Share only what you're comfortable with, and don't feel obligated to divulge details that feel invasive.
Seek Support: Talk to trusted friends, family members, or a therapist about your experiences. This can provide emotional validation and help you develop coping strategies.
Prioritize Self-Care: Engage in activities that nourish your mind, body, and spirit. This will help you build resilience and maintain your well-being.
Make some Plans: Depending on your situation, you might want to make plans to put yourself in a better financial position to live independently. If you have exhausted your efforts and decide that you really need to leave, start by researching areas with lower cost of living as possibilities to move to. Calculate what your monthly living expenses would be in potential areas. Seek better job opportunities, side hustles, and any opportunities that will make you extra income. You never know what will end up working out for you and its better to have explored options than be stuck. At the very least, have some emergency money saved up. Manifest a new reality for yourself.
Remember, you are not responsible for your mother's behavior, but you are responsible for taking care of yourself. Focus on setting boundaries, creating backup plans, seeking support, and prioritizing your own mental health.

"Taming" Miss Siggy
This was my excuse to write a little ficlet for @wraithdance's story "The Five Year Plan" as well as indulge my love of Shakespeare. Kyle and Siggy are much nicer to each other in this than in "The Taming of the Shrew" where I pulled some of the dialogue from - so if you like, you can imagine this is them messing around with each other instead of a full-blown Renaissance AU. Cheers!
Enter SIGGY. KYLE must take a moment to collect himself in her presence; she is indeed beautiful as her friends have told him. His silence confuses her, and she lifts a brow questioningly.
KYLE
Good morrow, Siggy –  that’s your name, I hear.
SIGGY
Well have you heard, but somewhat hard of hearing.
That name you speak is used but with permission –
I’ve given no leave to speak to me thus.
KYLE
That permission I would gladly earn,
So to increase the list of names I hear for thee.
I have heard thee called Siggy alone,
And Siggy the significant, Siggy the sage,
And sometimes even Siggy the storm.
Siggy, the mistress of her own fate,
And of her own house
And her own employment.
Take this of me, Siggy of my solace –
I, in travels of my own career,
Hearing thy intellect praised in all parts,
Thy virtues spoke of, thy beauty sounded,
Yet not so deeply as thou should deserve,
Myself am moved to woo thee for my wife.
SIGGY bursts into astonished laughter.
SIGGY
“Moved”, you say? Maneuvered, more likely.
You are excused from my presence
 – what man is this to propose the vows
 without even proffering his name?
KYLE bows in a manner appropriate to meeting a lady of SIGGY’s station.
KYLE
Garrick, madam – Kyle Garrick.
Retired from the services of
Our most gracious sovereign
Both at home and in the commonwealth.
I seek both to rest myself and to be the rest
And safety to a lady kind and virtuous
As well as of good family.
SIGGY
So then you are a mercenary still.
You would ask my hand but then expect
That I should – what – be someone I am not?
I am no pawn, young Garrick, nor yet
A mere confection for your sample.
I’ve been used thus once before
By one who also jockeyed for my hand.
KYLE
A sin indeed, to try to tame the wind!
In faith, good Siggy, I would never dare to
Take from thee thy lightning or your sun.
I heard talk of ferocity, ‘tis true –
But also that you turn that fury towards
Those who would exploit the frail and lost.
To take that from you? It would be a sin.
SIGGY
Then what is it that you would have of me?
KYLE
In this moment? I would have thee walk.
SIGGY
Walk?? I am no dog, you strutting cock.
I do not prance or turn or gambol.
KYLE
And yet I’m told you dance divinely.
SIGGY
Who told you thus? Miss Blue?
The woman is my soul’s companion
But she is far too kind by half.
I know only that which is needed
To not get a reputation as a fool.
KYLE
I will not let you fall, I swear.
Again, I ask that you walk – with me.
He offers his hand – and after a moment, SIGGY takes it. He leads her around the room, never pulling her along, but never lagging behind either.
KYLE
You step as well as any soldier
With whom I would have served –
And your posture would be the envy
Of my commanding officers.
SIGGY
A fountain of compliments you are,
But is that fountain, Garrick of Garrick Hall,
A fount for all to sample?
KYLE
I aim not to dishonor my kin –
So while I remain polite with all,
My compliments are saved for those
With whom I would have acquaintance
More…intimate.
SIGGY
How knowest I that this is not a jest?
KYLE
Would the ladies – mistresses Estelle
And Blue and Vi – allow me near to thee
If they doubted my intentions?
SIGGY
No indeed – but anyone can lie, Master Garrick.
KYLE
Then let me prove myself.
He drops to one knee, clasping her hand to his heart.
KYLE
I vow upon my life and my honor,
Upon my service and my mother’s mem’ry,
To be thy safe harbor, if thou wilt be the same for me.
Enter the LADIES, who gasp in delight seeing the scene before them.
ESTELLE
Then it is decided?
KYLE looks up at the woman he’s already starting to fall in love with, and she nods.
SIGGY
Indeed, friends – I choose him for myself.

One nitpick that I have about the Danganronpa Another fandom is how many people mischaracterize Utsuro and Akane's complicated relationship, especially on Utsuro's side.
Like, one side of the mischaracterization writes Utsuro like he was Damian Wanye in a MariBat fic, and the other side writes him as such an abusive asshole towards Akane (Who is written as a flawless victim to be shipped with someone else) that it makes me hard to believe that that version of him would would do the entire thing of "Giving the Divine Luck to save her life at the end of the Proto Killing Game" that happened at the credits of DRA.
Like, can someone care to write them as the beautiful dumpster fire of manipulation, blind devotion, and twisted, but genuine, care that their relationship truly is?
One of the best parts of Danganronpa Another is how amazingly toxic and destructive Utsuro’s and Akane’s relationship is. As it boggles the mind on how these two both care for each other greatly, but at the same time constantly fuck each other over, to the point it becomes an art form.
I don’t think I’ve seen such a paradoxical relationship in anything else in media, and unfortunately because of how unique it is, it means a lot of people tend to misunderstand on what it means.
From Utsuro’s POV you have understand aside from distant memories when his parents weren’t corrupted by his power, he has spend a life of being exploited by others. Even the other Children of Utsuro, wound up misusing his gifts for personal gain which he’s jaded him greatly, and the fact so many people seek him out for greedy purposes. Coupled this with the fact Utsuro never has to work or grow for anything since Divine Luck does everything for him, and it’s little wonder he becomes a hollow shell.
And then he meets Akane Taira, the only Child of Utsuro who to his knowledge took his blessings and used them for good as she became a maid to serve and help others. And the fact Utsuro is the reason Akane even has a life to begin with means she’s totally devoted to him. However since Utsuro isn’t used to a positive interaction, or someone who just wants to be with him for no selfish ulterior motives means he doesn’t really know how to process it. This is why he constantly tests Akane’s faith in him, and why he doesn’t seem surprised when she does turn on him in Chapter 6, because in his eyes, Akane was never gonna be loyal in the first place. And that paranoid part of his mind was never gonna quieten down.
At the same time though, there’s no denying that his existence was a rather lonely one, so having someone by his side is better than nothing. So he does enjoy Akane’s company, and the fact he gave his Divine Luck to her to save her life, is proof that he did genuinely care for Akane. I do think that had Junko not come along and do as she always does and that is make things worse, eventually Utsuro would have learnt to let go of his paranoia and be more trusting of Akane. And maybe at the same time Akane might learn to not take Utsuro’s viewpoint all the time, and that he himself has flaws as well. The fact that she’s the only one who knows of Utsuro’s past though is proof he does have some element of trust in her. Heck and Despair to Future Arc suggests this, she might even known what his real name is because no one will call their child Utsuro.
After all if you had one spot of happiness in your life, you would fight tooth and nail to make sure it’s always there. The dynamics are way more complex than that. Most people don’t tend to think critically, and as such when presented with a complicated and four dimensional relationship like Utsuro’s and Akane’s is, it’s very easy to misinterpret it.

It's funny how you don't like Surge or Kit at all yet you've done far more with their characters and concepts in off to the side tumblr posts than anything in the official comic.
Thanks! ^^
I think the wide variety of AUs people write for them proves there are many number of coherent directions for Surge and Kit, which just makes the wasted potential all the more annoying. The book's inability - or maybe refusal - to focus and really pick a throughline is how we wound up with a bloated mess of an arc that, paradoxically, wound up saying nothing. We know no more about these two as when they started a year or two ago. Truly the writing of all time.
I like to tackle it from the angle of "Surge and Kit feel unwanted due to a series of tragedies and lash out because of it." But someone else could approach the same material from the angle of "Surge and Kit were criminals" - maybe make commentary on the exploitation of criminals and how even they deserve basic rights - and still be completely valid.
Because the book refuses to pick a lane and stick to it, however, we're left playing multiple choice with their themes and character arcs. The proportion of time spent on their characters to how little substance they actually have is kind of amazing. You'd almost have to be deliberately dicking around in order to avoid saying anything about these characters like the book did.
For instance, we know Surge hates Sonic with a burning passion, but why? Why does she hate Sonic other than the fact that Starline told her so 232 times? I don't think the book ever bothers to drill into the bedrock of such questions, really explore what they mean, other than how these tragedies serve Sonic's character (and to a lesser extent, Starline's and Eggman's).
To me, it makes the most sense to link Surge and Kit to the Tinker dilemma and make them victims of Starline's schemes. That way, Belle's arc isn't completely irrelevant, and Starline's actions feel more far-reaching in terms of impact.
Starline took the seed of an idea and exaggerated it via hypnosis. Surge has valid reason to resent Sonic for his failure to keep his promise to check up on Tinker. Maybe it wasn't quite hate. Not originally. But when senseless tragedy strikes, naturally, the psyche seeks to blame someone in order to maintain an illusion of control. Surge therefore continuously feels panicky, powerless, and out-of-control - Sonic being a big trigger.
I also envision Surge as being less abusive to Kit and more like a disgruntled protective older sister. Her old nickname for him was "Skippy," which mutated into "Drippy."
Conversely, Kit is the voice of temperance and reason keeping her grounded, paralleling Tails' straight man role to Sonic's antics.
Although Surge sadistically wanted to prolong Starline's hypnosis session as his mental state deteriorated, it was Kit who wanted to pull the plug, feeling it too cruel even to Starline. However, he framed it as "Starline fell asleep because he's insomniac" and "We should leave while he's out cold."
Kit playing with a doll he cobbled together out of scrap metal is not only reminiscent of Belle, but Tinker's presence. Tinker, too, was taken from them, in no small part due to Sonic's failure. Rubbing salt in the wound is the fact that the only person to give them any sort of permanent home treats them like objects.
Weapons don't play. Surge knows that. Yet maybe Starline doesn't have to. She fries the camera and feigns ignorance when he grills her on it later.
I like to think Surge has a lot of pent-up pain with nowhere to go except destructive ends. Perhaps, if there's no nearby water source, she demands Kit use her tears and sweat to conduct electricity: it would go some length to imply that she's internalized her own dehumanization.
As Starline notes, the duo's will to survive ironically hinders the healing effects of the metal virus. It's like their bodies and minds are fighting to retain their original identities.
Of course, I forgot to touch on how Belle, Surge, and Kit's reunion would go. Maybe that, too, could have added a layer of dramatic irony and poignancy as each party struggles to recall the other, with more and more of the truth peeking through with subsequent meetings, until there's a big revelation.
There's so much you could do with Surge and Kit to make their story thematically coherent. It almost boggles the mind that the book opened up so many avenues for character and yet took none of them. It expects us to sympathize for them as though we know the full context without having laid down the proper groundwork.

What Is a Narcissistic Sociopath?
Here are 10 signs:
1. They Live In a Deluded Reality
Narcissistic sociopaths don’t see the world in the same way other people do. In their distorted version of reality, they are entitled to whatever they want, regardless of what it takes to get it or who is hurt in the process. They will justify their actions, even ones that are inexcusable, and show no remorse. A sociopath’s narcissism may also lead them to develop delusions of grandeur about being important, special, or exceptional in some way. Or, they can experience paranoid delusions that others are out to get them.
2. They Are Obsessed With Power & Control
People with NPD and ADP are power-hungry. Sociopathic narcissists put a lot of time and effort into acquiring positions that give them power or control over people, bowling over anyone who gets in their way. Once they obtain control, they may demand to be addressed in a certain way or make others follow rules that don’t make sense. This obsession also tends to show up as a refusal to acknowledge any other authority, including rules, laws, policies, or requests made of them by others.
3. They Take Advantage of & Use Other People
Narcissistic sociopaths have a habit of using, exploiting, and taking advantage of others. This tendency shows up in all of their relationships, including romantic, platonic, or familial relationships they’ve been able to maintain. They seek out codependent, nurturing individuals who are more easily manipulated and controlled through guilt, shame, or fear, and will hold onto these relationships for as long as the person remains “useful.”
4. They Have No Moral Boundaries
There are no lines a narcissistic sociopath won’t cross to get what they want. Their moral compass is non-existent, leaving them without the sense of “right and wrong” that most people have. After doing something harmful, illegal, or sadistic, they won’t feel remorse, regret, or guilt. In fact, they may even feel a sense of satisfaction knowing they were able to deceive, emotionally manipulate, or hurt someone.
5. They Have a Limited Range of Emotions
Narcissistic sociopaths don’t experience feelings of love and affection, or more vulnerable emotions like guilt, shame, or sadness. The only strong emotion they seem to be able to access is anger. This can show up as outrage or narcissistic rage when they’re slighted, offended, or not granted something they feel they deserve. This stunted emotional range also keeps them from being able to experience empathy, sometimes leading them to engage in destructive behaviors that grant them some form of feeling.
6. They Have a Huge Discard Pile
Narcissistic sociopaths are known to discard people and things that are no longer useful to them. Over time, their narcissistic discard pile stacks up and may include former friends, lovers, colleagues, and mentors. Their discard pile may also include expensive material things they got bored or tired of, as well as roles or activities that served a purpose at one time but are no longer useful to them.
7. They Become Hostile When Threatened
Narcissistic sociopaths are most dangerous when they feel threatened. Because of their natural tendency to be paranoid, less trusting, and more easily offended, threats can be a routine occurrence for them. When they feel threatened, the narcopath will often become hostile and aggressive, lashing out and becoming abusive toward others.
8. They Feed Off of Negative Energy
A narcissistic sociopath feeds off of negative emotions and energy. There is something about drama, others’ fear or pain, or the chaos of disaster that seems to excite them or give them energy. This kind of parasitic attraction to negativity is a telltale sign of a sick person, including a person who may have traits of NPD and ASPD. This behavior is also what makes sociopathic narcissists sadistic and dangerous, causing them to enjoy the pain and suffering of others.1
9. They Get Bored Easily
A narcissistic sociopath is constantly seeking sensations and cheap thrills because nothing can hold their interest and attention for long. They become easily bored with people, things, and activities, and will abandon them once they are no longer entertained. This boredom can also turn into a restlessness that causes them to find destructive outlets. For this reason, people with these traits tend to be impulsive and aggressive, or engaged in crime, violence, or drug use.
10. They Are Empty Inside
A narcissistic sociopath may have worked hard to craft a powerful, important image, but this is a front. Lacking the ability to feel a full range of emotions makes them hollow and empty on the inside, keeping them from really experiencing things, expressing themselves, or connecting with others. This internal emptiness is what they’re trying to hide from others with their narcissism, and also what they’re seeking to escape within themselves by using maintaining a level of entertainment, power, or destruction.

Okay friends gather round because I’m here to talk about porn (this will be a long post).
Specifically, why it needs to be safer instead of banned, why it’s not inherently harmful, and how a lot of the harm associated with it is straight up prejudice.
I recently got drawn into an argument about this (i know, I should know better, but I guess this time I didn’t). People love to talk about how the porn industry is harmful because it’s “addictive” which makes it dangerous, or because it makes men do bad things.
I want to say first that this is just feeding into the “all men are inherently bad and violent” shit which I do NOT support because it is not true. A lot of men in patriarchal society are violent, yes, but only because that society tells those men they can have whatever they want, they can take it if we won’t give it to them, and there are no consequences for this behavior. This apathy is conditioned. If you never hold a man accountable for his actions and the ways in which he exploits others, OF COURSE he’s going to hurt people. This issue exist less with women because societally, women are conditioned to give of themselves to the point of burnout, to always place other people’s (most often specifically men’s) wants and needs and preferences over their own. Not because women are biologically less violent or selfish.
Now, there is something to be said about the ways in which certain kinds of pornography portray sexual relationships. In heterosexual male-centered porn, the woman is, more often than not, merely a vessel for his pleasure. She does what he wants, in the positions he wants, because he is the focus. This kind of porn is often characterized by a POV that makes it look as if you’re watching through the male actor’s eyes.
This kind of porn, especially if it is a man or boy’s introduction to sexual relationships/pleasure, can encourage them to see all women this way. If you teach a boy that women are meant to serve his whims because that’s just what women are for, of course he’s going to continue seeking out this kind of media. This is an example of societal prejudice and how it influences everything we do. It does not mean that pornography makes men misogynists.
The second point I want to discuss involves why I say we need reform and laws that keep people safe from exploitation, not a ban on pornography as a whole.
When I told the people I was arguing with that this is what I personally advocate for, they tried to say that I was admitting porn is bad, “because it hurts people.” One man said that I couldn’t possibly dismiss the experiences of real people hurt by the porn industry by saying porn isn’t harmful.
I want to make it exceptionally clear that I am absolutely not dismissing anyone’s experiences. I am well aware that many people are hurt by the modern pornography industry and have been for as long as sex work has existed. But I also want to make it clear that this is not because sex work is bad. It is because people get trafficked, and people often feel like they have no other options because of economic and life circumstances. Some people who entered the industry willingly, who even enjoy their work (crazy concept, I know) end up leaving because they were pressured into certain acts that they weren’t comfortable with. Some people get recorded without their consent. Some people have to leave because of harassment (and yes, sexual harassment IS a thing, even for sex workers). Some people feel like it is a path they will enjoy, but discover it’s not a kind of work they want to do. Some people find it incredibly draining. Some people’s coworkers make for an unpleasant or even unsafe work environment.
There are hundred of reasons someone might leave sex work or be harmed by the people they work with. This doesn’t mean that the work itself is morally wrong. Which is why I say that we need laws in place that protect sex workers from exploitation, and we need people in place to actually enforce those laws (rather than the slew of pedophiles and rapists we have in office right now, or the police officers who let traffickers off the hook for bribery - the financial kind and the human kind).
My third point involves the lack of any scientific backing for the claims that pornography is inherently harmful. While anecdotal evidence absolutely has a place in the discussion, and we should never dismiss someone who was hurt in their time in the industry, this is not scientific. Neither are sermons, unfortunately for most of the people I talk to about this. Usually when I ask for a study backing their claims - just one single peer reviewed study - I am offered this:
The very first thing I want to point out about this paper is that it is not a study. It is essentially a personal interest essay. Just because a work references other works does not make it credible. The man who wrote this paper is a religious fanatic, first of all, and while his Phd does actually appear to be real (oftentimes I get referenced to people with fake doctorates) that does not automatically make any words he writes factual. Several of the footnotes include links that look pretty legit but actually lead nowhere. A couple are just surveys where they asked religious families if their children struggled with mental health consequences from pornography, which is again anecdotal evidence at best, and definitely not a peer reviewed, credible source.
Secondly, if you read this paper you may notice that in a few places Fagan claims part of the mental toll pornography takes on teens is the shame and guilt it creates. Gee, can anyone guess why a sexually repressed teenager in a conservative Christian purity culture home might feel ashamed of indulging in sexual pleasure?? My personal “porn addiction” guilt went away when I realized that I wasn’t hurting anyone by watching it, and my sexual pleasure was not sinful or dirty. What fixed my mental turmoil was letting go of the shame, not letting go of the thing that made me happy.
All of this is to say that the shame and guilt around teens watching porn does not come from the pornography itself, but from the adults around us who tell us we are dirty rotten sinners who are going to burn in hell for wanting to feel good.
Fagan also talks about the consequences of pornography on children, without ever addressing the fact that this is harmful because usually if a child is viewing porn, it is in the context of grooming. I’m not advocating for showing your young child pornography obviously (please don’t do that) but it feels incredibly irresponsible to say that we need to ban porn because “if a child is groomed with it that hurts the child”. In his list of reasons why pornography is harmful to children, Fagan also includes things like it can be upsetting for a child to overhear their parent engaging in “phone sex”. Surely I’m not the only one wondering what that actually has to do with porn…?
Now, I’m not saying that no one is ever engaging with pornography to a point of harm. But this is still an issue of misattributed blame. If someone is watching porn in excess, using it as a coping mechanism of some kind, that is a problem that has very little to do with the porn they’re watching. People fill holes of emotional and physical needs in all sorts of different ways. My cousin ended up on crutches because she went through a rough breakup and dealt with it by running. She overdid it too many times and injured herself, but no one would ever say that means we have to ban running.
My main point is that safe, consensual sex work is not harmful. If consenting adults wish to have sex, play sexual games, record themselves, watch a recording of another consenting adult, or do literally any other kind of sexual activity - that is perfectly okay. We don’t need to shame them or condemn them for wanting to feel pleasure or for working a job in which they bring other people pleasure. This is purity culture bullshit.
And on the subject of teens - it is literally the most natural thing in the word for a teenager to feel curious about their bodies and desires and to want to explore that. Again, I’m not advocating for showing your teenager pornography, but If they find it themselves that’s a wonderful opportunity to have discussions with them about safe sex, boundaries, consent, and all the things. You can even talk to them about it before they seek out the porn. You can teach them about masturbation, and let them know that these desires are not shameful or bad or dirty.
I’m also really tired of certain people insisting that porn is “addictive” because it produces dopamine in the brain. Wanting to feel good is not a crime for fuck’s sake.

Hydra Prized Creation
➥ summary: Hydra created a mastermind unlike none other with intellects only the greatest individuals could possess they combined that with their new advanced version of the super solider serum, and thus a ghost was born.
➥ chapter 6: Shadows of the City
Tumblr media
With a new identity carefully crafted by the underground network, (Y/N) embarked on a journey to the bustling city of New York. It was a place whispered about among the refugees—an urban epicenter that served as a sanctuary for those seeking solace and anonymity. However, (Y/N) was well aware of the risks involved in stepping foot in a city that housed not only heroes but also potential dangers that could unravel her carefully constructed façade.
As the city skyline came into view, (Y/N)'s heart skipped a beat. New York City stood as a symbol of hope and resilience, where individuals with extraordinary abilities walked among ordinary citizens. The existence of these so-called heroes had been a topic of fascination and discussion within the underground network. They represented both a glimmer of hope and a cause for caution.
The heroes' presence in New York City offered a double-edged sword. On one hand, their commitment to justice and protection instilled a sense of security. They fought against the very organizations that had tormented (Y/N) and others like her. Their presence meant that HYDRA's influence might be kept in check. On the other hand, the heroes' keen senses and investigative skills posed a potential threat. If they were to discover her true identity, (Y/N) could find herself once again trapped in a dangerous web.
Navigating the crowded streets of New York, (Y/N) treaded cautiously. She immersed herself in the city's vibrant energy, blending seamlessly into the bustling masses. The metropolis offered a tapestry of anonymity—a place where individuals could easily disappear amidst the constant ebb and flow of its diverse population. Yet, (Y/N) knew she couldn't afford to let her guard down.
She sought refuge in a modest apartment tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. With minimal belongings, she established a new routine—taking on odd jobs, interacting with neighbors, and exploring the city's hidden gems. Days turned into weeks, and the rhythm of city life enveloped her. However, the constant awareness of her vulnerability lingered in the background.
As (Y/N) settled into her new life, she couldn't help but be drawn to the heroes that operated within the city. Their exploits were lauded in newspapers, and rumors of their heroic acts echoed through the city's streets. Part of her yearned for a connection, a sense of belonging to a community that fought for justice. But she knew that revealing her true identity to them would be a grave risk.
Caution tempered her curiosity. She monitored news reports and studied the heroes' modus operandi. Their identities were shrouded in secrecy, their true intentions often debated. (Y/N) understood that while some heroes fought for the greater good, others might view her as a potential threat or experiment to be captured.
However, fate has a way of intertwining lives in unexpected ways. One fateful evening, as (Y/N) traversed a dimly lit alley, she stumbled upon a crime in progress. Her instinct to help kicked in, and she intervened, employing her unique abilities to subdue the assailants. Little did she know, her act of heroism would catch the attention of someone unexpected.
Unbeknownst to (Y/N), her actions had not gone unnoticed by one of the heroes. This hero, with a vigilant eye and a sharp intuition, sensed something familiar in her abilities and the way she carried herself. A series of encounters followed—brief glimpses and chance meetings that left (Y/N) both exhilarated and filled with trepidation.
As (Y/N) walked the tightrope of her dual existence, she found herself caught between conflicting desires. On one hand, she yearned for connection, for acceptance among the heroes who fought for justice. On the other hand, she knew that revealing her true identity would expose her to danger and jeopardize the life she had worked so hard to rebuild.
With each encounter, (Y/N)'s curiosity grew. The heroes she observed from afar were more complex than the tales depicted in newspapers and whispered among the underground network. They carried burdens and faced their own trials, yet remained dedicated to protecting the innocent. A part of her longed to be part of their cause, to lend her unique abilities to the battle against those who sought to exploit others.
However, the risks outweighed the benefits. HYDRA still lurked in the shadows, a persistent threat that could strike at any moment. Revealing her true identity could not only endanger herself but also compromise the lives of those who had helped her escape. The heroes may have been the embodiment of justice, but the dangers they faced were very real.
In the depths of her heart, (Y/N) knew that her path lay elsewhere. She couldn't afford to let sentimentality cloud her judgment. Her focus had to remain on exposing HYDRA's operations, dismantling their network, and ensuring the safety of others who shared her fate. The allure of New York City's heroes would have to remain a distant dream—a reminder of the sacrifices she had to make in her pursuit of freedom.
And so, (Y/N) continued to walk the tightrope, threading the delicate line between anonymity and the call to action. New York City would remain a place of shadows, where heroes soared above the city's skyline, and her true identity remained concealed. Her mission remained unchanged—to stay one step ahead, outsmart HYDRA, and ensure that justice prevailed.
