Next up in my Pokemon characters we have Zoe, based on my Pkmn Black playthrough! She left her home in Castelia City with her pet Purrloin, her formal starter Tepig, and her childhood friend Toshiro and his Oshawott. While at first she was too afraid of the thought of failure to begin the League challenge in earnest, her experiences with others during her travels convinced her of the importance of having a goal and being bold even at the risk of failure. Ironically, being chosen as the Hero of Truth by Reshiram damaged her newfound confidence as she struggled with the idea of being chosen as "hero" and the weight of the title placed upon her. After she helped Interpol track down the remaining leadership of Team Plasma, she left Unova, purportedly looking for N, but also seeking an understanding of what it meant to pursue truth. She's since reunited with N and spent time in Kalos and Galar learning about their ancient conflicts, heroes and kings, and legendary Pokemon. Her Purrloin still has not evolved.

Fun fact: I loaded up my Black cartridge to see what kind of pokeball I used to capture Reshiram, and apparently I used a Dusk Ball! So that's what I gave her here.

gary had a poetry/journaling phase when he was around 15 in sinnoh. he was inspired by his grandpa's poetry and proverbs he heard around the region like "when every life meets another, something will be born." so he kept a journal of original poems for a bit, but he abandoned it after a year or so, and nowadays he cringes at his cliches when he looks back. there's probably a few poems unraveling his feelings for ash in there

chloe pushed herself to be social when she was young, especially because she saw how goh got treated for being antisocial, but as she grows up she comes to realize that she has a lower social battery than she would like. if she has two (2) packed social days in a row she will lose her mind

serena and chloe were obsessed with cimorelli's youtube covers when they were in their early teens. they grow out of it but it comes up as a big "wait, what? you actually know what i'm talking about?" moment when they become friends in their 20s

Arceus: Ash Is On Vacation, SO LEAVE HIM BE, ME DAMN IT!!!

Basically Sun and Moon series, but the legendarys for some reason or another are trying to see Ash, and most are trying to let Ash have a Armageddon Free Vacation/Journey. Will include disobedient Tapus, rogue Legendarys wanting to see there Favorite trainer, and Awkward reveals of Ash's past as a trainer. Ash is also 16 at this point, and getting a trainers license is basically Emancipation.

Ash's personality changing through every journey has been him trying to figure out the true him, finding himself, his Personality through Sun and Moon and Journeys is his true Personality.

Unova was a Vacation Journey, basically him not taking it to seriously, just a basic journey, where he was hoping for nothing serious to happen.

He actively trys to keep people from looking up his Trainer page, but when he tries to setting things to private, he's given a message that due to how frequently he runs into disaster, that he has been prohibited from setting those to private for the sake of others at least having the chance to know what they are getting into while around him.

All the Champions know him, and actively wish he'd get a break from the world saving while Journeying, Cynthia actually visits Ash during his off time, and Lance is his Uncle from his Moms side, though they didn't know that for a long time, due to Delia being a run away due to getting pregnant with Ash in her late teens from the Clan and Lance believing she was dead for over a decade. Leon is actually just debating having Ash journey through Galar just to see if it'll have whatever is brewing in Galar will just show itself and everyone can get it out of the way, same with Geeta, Nemona just wants to battle him and his strongest pokemon.

Most Proper legendarys can turn into a Human form, these would be legitimate Gods, like the Lugia and legendary birds from The Power of One movie, the Sinnoh pantheon, the Legendary Fairys(Mew, Celebi, Victini, etc.)

A good Majority of the female legendarys are interested in Ash due to personal encounter or Reputation, Solgaleo and Lunala actually half joke about having a threesome with him, and entrusting the child of said threesome with him to the other legendarys(they plan to do it Psychicly, cause apparently thats possible for them), much to the annoyance of the other girls, Ho-oh very much wants Ash to stay a Pure and Innocent boy, despite the fact he's experienced lots of Chaos.

The Galarian Birds are particular not impressed with how all the legendarys see Ash, and are considering going to Alola just to hurt him due to being annoyed by all the talk about him, but they clearly don't understand that a legendary just can't stay mad and not like Ash 'you don't need a reason to help someone' Ketchum. G. Moltres in particular won't be able to get him out of her head.

A good few of the legendarys don't fully understand the logic and mentality of humans and normal pokemon, some do, some don't.

Most Legendary pokemon are species that only one or two at a time are truly a God level being, but not all on the rank are that level of powerful.

The legendarys that watch over Ash are just done with Rotomdex's shit, him actively treating Ash like a dumb rookie, when he hasn't even considered Logging into Ash's Trainer Page like a proper Pokedex, until one of the Mythicals, Victini probably, has enough and rips into Rotomdex out of nowhere, appearing infront of the class and scaring the shit out of everyone as she just erupts in flames, yelling at this utter insult of a pokedex for its behavior to one of the best trainers it, and nearly every legendary has ever known, just because its to ignorant and arrogant to even think about the fact that Ash has a trainer page already and isn't some new inexperienced trainer.

Also, Ultra Recon Squad shows up during the Ultra Beast arc, and are dumbfounded at the idea of God's actively not wanting their Chosen one being the one to stop Apocalypse type disasters, Zossie may have a Puppy dog crush on Ash. They are from the same world as Poipole, the nest was out in the wilds, and they lost track and couldn't find Necrozma, in this timeline they were not responsible for Necrozma's state.

Showstopper the Lucario: My very first ever Pokemon! He starred with me in the first Brycen-Man movie and every Brycen-Man movie since then! There's no bond closer than ours!

Plot Twist the Blaziken: He's called Plot Twist cause I wasn't expecting to run into a Torchic all the way in Unova. Glad I did, though, cause he's been a real asset.

The Heart the Flygon (or just Heart): The heart of the team (hence the name) Heart always knows how to pick us up when we're down.

Smoke the Zoroark: I was asked to take care of Smoke by Anthy and Connie when he was just a Zorua! Once my journey was over he decided to stick with me and get into acting! And those illusions come in handy for special effects too!

Herald the Serperior: Herald's more of a battling Pokemon than an acting Pokemon, but I love him all the same. I called him that cause he was the Herald of my Heroes Journey.

The Smart Guy: A bit of a late addition too the team, Smart Guy really came in clutch against Skyla. Her electric type attacks are no joke!

Hat the Mankey: So named because he stole my hat. Not much of an actor, but likes hanging out on set.

Levi the Leavanny: My partner in Costuming, I don't think I'd get things done nearly as fast if she wasn't around.

Anti-Roxie the Ekans: I named her that because I caught her as a counter too Roxie, eheh. Poison's not very effective against poison, you know. That didn't really pan out but she always preferred being a lap Pokemon anyways.

Big Guy the Gigalith: Named as such because he was super strong, even before he was big. If there was something in the way, he could smash it.

Invader the Elgyem: Maybe its a bit mean to name an Elgyem Invader. Especially since he inspired the Invaders series.

Ghost the Sableye: A mischievous little guy who loves too play pranks on set almost as much as he loves acting.

Sidekick the Flaffy: She was my sidekick, of course. Unfortunately, my proposal for "Lucario Girl's sidekick Flaffy Boy" got rejected.

Junior the Ariados: I don't know why I named this Ariados Junior. Something just came over me and I felt I had too.

Comic Relief the Snover: Okay, maybe this one's a bit mean too, but he's so silly.

Confidant the Scolipede: Obviously if I need to go to anyone for advice or to just talk, its Showstopper (or Nate) but Confidant is also a good option.

Deus ex Machina the Magnezone: My real Anti-Roxie, Deus came out of nowhere and saved me in that battle, hence the name (also cause its a machine). Still have no idea where it came from.

Heel the Spiritomb: Heel's not really evil, but they play the part well. If you need a villain, they're your swirling conglomeration of imprisoned and tortured souls.

Unexpected the Litwik: I named him that cause he surprised me.

Dawn the Empoleon: Another unexpected catch. Since the name Plot Twist was already taken, I named this Empoleon after a famous trainer from the Sinnoh region.

Sixth Ranger the Gallade: A Sixth Ranger is a character that joins the team late in the series run. Sixth over here fits that perfectly, being one of the last Pokemon to join my team.

I'm also friends with a whooooooole bunch of Legendaries but I don't, like, own them or anything. They're just my friends. Sometimes they help out on-set.

Nemona & Spectrier often race with Juliana & Raidon.

The equestrian discipline that Nemona participates in are show jumping and dressage.

I like to think Penny brought Nemona to Galar to see the gyms and the champion cup and they ended up traveling to the Dynamax dens / adventour stuff because they're similar to Tera dens. She comes back with an undead horse, as is her right

I think Nemona's pure heart and desire to fight things is the perfect legendary befriending combo. She's sweet and sincere enough in her friendliness to not be blasted away by the legendaries, but always makes sure to battle them. Since many legendaries will obey anyone who can "prove their strength" they end up attaching to her even though she just wanted a fun battle. She'll take a new friend though!

This is to say I think Nemona accidentally befriends most of the legendaries of any region she goes to. It's kind of a problem-- Penny is slightly worried to take her to Sinnoh for fear she'll try and literally fight god

What's your fav shows/games?

Hm...

Game wise, Pokemon's an old favorite, though quality has drastically dropped. There are other monster catching games I do enjoy, though they're not at that same level for Pokemon for me. Closest probably is Digimon Cyber Sleuth, that was a lot of fun. Monster Hunter Stories franchise I really like and hope for more, and ideally we can get a different main monster than Rathalos. I like the monster fine, but it's not my fav. And we got two games with Rathalos as the partner... though I'll give it that Wings of Ruin did a much better job of maining with Rathalos. And while I do like Monster Hunter as a franchise, I cannot play the main, I get too stressed. It's the same for LoZ. Really enjoy it, not so great at playing it.

I also really enjoy farming games, with My Time at Sandrock and Coral Island becoming my favorite.

And I do enjoy the occasional tactical RPG, like Dragon Age Origins, Dragon Age 2, and Baulder's Gate 3. Also enjoy Skyrim, though I am wary for the next Elder Scrolls game.

For shows, I'm more into animation, so there's not a lot of live action that I really get into.

Off the top of my head, Stranger Things for sure. I'm very curious for s5 and if they'll pull off the finish well, cause I have heard most think Stranger Things should've ended at s2. That 70s Show I think is one of the funniest shows I watched (minus the last season).

Anime wise, Spy x Family is easily becoming my favorite.

I was obsessed with the Pokemon anime as a kid, though around 8 I was tired of Ash and wanted a girl lead, ideally not stuck with "girly" pokemon as I liked the "boy" pokemon far more like Charizard and Tyranitar. I could not stress enough how elated I was that Advanced started off with May, and I was going to see May travel through Hoenn! And that excitement plummeted like a rock when I saw Ash and Pikachu. I stuck with it as I did like the Hoenn region and I did like May, though DPP anime is when I officially dropped it. I did really like Dawn and the Sinnoh region, but I was just so tired of Ash. There was only so much I continue watching the show with the same lead.

Cartoon wise, AtLA of course. I enjoyed Danny Phantom. RotTMNT is my favorite of the TMNT adaptations. Amphibia I really loved. Glitch Techs I also really liked, RIP.

Yes haha! Ven is the most basic nickname she has for him. There's variations like Vennie but she does give him food related nicknames.

I do like to think her favorite food related nickname would be his JP name, Pepper. Of course since it's a game thing, she'd connect it to something else. Pepper would also be shortened to Peppy or Pep.

As for her, Sunny is already a nickname. Could be shortened to Suns or Sol, but Sue and Annie from Susannah could be options too 😊

Penny and Nemona get the girlfriends girl friends nicknames. She calls them Babe, Baby, Sweetie, Honey, Mi Esposa, stuff like that HAHA but she does call Penny, Pen and Nemona, Mona or Nems sometimes

So, I’ve just realized something about the Player/Main Character from Pokemon Legends Arceus

In this case, the Main Character is not “replacing” any of the “boy or girl protagonist variant” (Akari or Rei) like we we've seen happen in the previous games.

✨️ But it’s a completely separate entity ✨️

And.....!

Based on many hints and easter eggs, it could be assumed/theorized that the Main Character is actually the “aged up” version of Dawn or Lucas from the Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.

Think of it, instead of being a wee 11-12 old kiddo, we now look around 15!

This would also explain why we’re so adept in training and catching Pokemon.

Just because we come from the future doesn’t automatically make us great Pokemon trainers (we could have been filthy casuals instead).

THAT’S WHY WE’RE ARCEUS’ FAVORITE CHILD! WHO COULD GET THE JOB DONE BETTER OTHER THAN THE CHAMPION OF SINNOH THEMSELVES?!

For me, there are some songs that I listen to that remind me of whatever part of my life I would often listen to that song during. This is the power of music; the same song brings different emotions and different memories to each person, and can give you the feeling of being brought back in time.

Video games can be described as an escape from reality for many. This makes the unique combination of being brought to a time where you are experiencing another world. It feels childish, but despite that, this is a big part of some people's childhood and lives. So let's go back in time real quick.

The peaceful, first town music of each Pokémon game is always a nostalgic one, as it is the sound of a new adventure. Still being a huge Pokémon fan at the age of 20, hearing the starting town music from a game I played when I was 7 years old is a feeling like no other. It makes me remember the days where I had fun even without having to try understanding everything. This is a great studying or waiting song for me.

Minecraft ~ Volume Alpha

Nowadays, it is pretty widely accepted that video games can get very addicting and consuming. My first time experiencing this was with Minecraft. A simple game with endless possibilities, where you build up your own world, at your own pace, however you want. The song might be even more nostalgic than New Bark Town's theme for me. Being one of the most popular games in the world to this day, this song probably brings nostalgic feelings for many. As it is a slow paced song like New Bark Town's theme, this could be good study music. However, I don't personally listen to this.

Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire ~ vs. Wally

Perhaps one of the most interesting things in video games is the concept of characters. While they bring lots to the table, there is one thing that isn't expressed much: the fact that you are always the main character. In Pokémon, this means all of those around you will be weaker than you in the end, because canonically, you win every battle.

In the original Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald games, Wally was a character with little impact or meaning to the games. He was just a boy who was overprotected by his uncle, and who you would help start up his adventure. In the remakes (Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire), he starts off similar, but grows into a different character in the end. He is no longer another random kid for the player to crush on their path to become champion. Now he has the resolve to win, and doesn't care for being protected by his uncle. He gives one of the best speeches in the series, then goes straight into the hardest guitar theme in the series to kick off the player's battle with him.

A discussion on GameFAQS goes over how he feels like a different character altogether. In the end he still loses of course, but his battle theme is honestly one of my favorite songs in general, and I would listen to it at any time. It would be a crime to describe it with any word other than awesome.

Pokémon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum ~ The piano before Cynthia

The piano that every Pokémon player fears. It would have been criminal of me to not include this song, so here it is.

For context, this is the song that plays right before the player's battle against the champion of Sinnoh (a region), Cynthia. The battle against the champion is (usually) the climax of a Pokémon game. Whoever defeats the reigning champion is granted the title of champion for themselves, and is the end goal for the protagonist.

As you make it to the final battle, the intense piano begins to play. And before you is Cynthia, the girl who goes around studying the history of Sinnoh; little did you know that the whole time, she was destined to be your final opponent.

Looking and acting badass isn't all there is to Cynthia, though. Remember when I said every Pokémon player fears this song? She is notorious for being the most difficult "boss" in the entire series.

Overall, an epic moment to be remembered. Just chills every listen.

Kirby's Dream Land ~ Green Greens

Ah yes, Kirby. The adorable little circle that goes around eating things. Green Greens truly captures the fun of these games and the world of Kirby. That is all this song means to me, but that is okay. It's still a banger and the energy it gives is refreshing.

These songs and many others from games give a kind of feeling that I can't find in any other kind of music. I could listen to most of them in any way, but studying, walking around, and driving would be the best 3 things overall.

one of these days i might run out of stories 😭 BUT i don’t think i’ve talked about the pokemon competition i went to when i was around 8 years old??? and i’ve been thinking about that recently so why not

i’ve talked before about how my interest in pokemon as a young person was defined by loneliness/isolation and how i never really had the social pokemon experience that most people did, so the few times i actually got to interact with other people over the shared interest stick out very strongly in my brain. in particular when i was i Think 8 years old, there used to be a small family-owned video game store in my town (it shut down a long time ago unfortunately, i miss it) and they ran events sometimes. i managed to find out they were running a singles competition in pokemon battle revolution, and my mom actually agreed to taking me

it’s important to keep in mind that i was like 8 and i didn’t know shit about competitive battling. i loved sinnoh and had pokemon i thought were strong but at this time i didn’t even know natures affected stats. i was an inexperienced little girl and i just brought my team of in-game guys that i liked. amusingly i was the only girl there, i just remember walking in and being surrounded by boys LOL both my age and older, like there were some older teens and maaaybe adults idk

anyway all things considered i actually got decently far because competitive mons was much more niche back then and no one knew what they were doing LMAO. i was mostly pitting my in-game mons against other kids’ in-game mons. i knew type matchups by heart and had some pretty decent pokemon to my memory - i don’t remember my entire team but i know i had torterra and articuno at least (articuno was one of my favorite pokemon at the time)

eventually i was… like… idk right before semi finals? i wasn’t quite in the top 4, i think i was in the top 8? i went up against an older boy who actually knew what he was doing and had a genuine competitive team. i’m not sure how old he actually was, at the time anyone above the age of 13 looked like an adult to me lol, i’m guessing in retrospect he was 17 or something. he THOROUGHLY kicked my ass with fucking BLISSEY TOXIC STALL lmao. at the time i was dumbfounded at how his blissey just took no fucking damage and it’s really funny being able to understand what happened in retrospect, i kept bringing my special attackers not being aware of blissey’s extremely lopsided defensive stats.

you’d think i would have been upset about losing but i was moreso really impressed with this guy’s blissey, and then smth i’ll never forget, after i lost he shook my hand and looked at me in the eyes and said that i did a good job and that i should keep playing pokemon because he thinks from the way that i played that i had a lot of potential. i was literally over the moon, it meant so much to be acknowledged with full seriousness by someone so much older than me who also lest we forget literally just beat my ass with toxic stall lol. having my interest in pokemon validated and being told i was good at it just made my entire week. or month. or year tbh.

nowadays that i’m a ribbon master mod and going to my first regionals next month, i think about that guy a lot. perhaps i was a late bloomer but i think whatever he saw in me was real. not that i’m the best pokemon player ever or something, and i’m certainly still learning a lot about vgc in particular, but like. yeah i do really care about this game and i think i have the potential to be good at it. and it was prophesized long agodjdjdk

My thoughts on the Sinnoh legendaries

Cresselia: My least favorite of these guys. It tries too hard to appeal to girls and is just so bland. Plus, I like the evil legendaries better. 1.5/10

Giratina: Now this is an amazing legendary. I love its color scheme and how it's not necessarily evil but is just trying to keep things balanced. 100/10

Dialga and Palkia: I don't know about these guys. ?/10

Regigigas: Pretty cool. I really like its calm and gentle nature. I just wanna befriend it so badly. 55/10

Heatran: A pretty great bug. Not the best, but certainly miles better than Cresselia. 9.9/10

Favorite: Giratina

Second favorite: Regigigas

Least favorite: Cresselia

Most neutral: Dialga and Palkia

Alola is too hot and Sinnoh is too cold. Hoenn has too much water.

Kanto is too straightforward forward but Giovanni is there so it gets a free pass.

Galar, accent, no.

Kalos is shaped like a star for some reason and has too much castles

Johto has the kimono girls and they only sometimes wear matching kimonos with their eeveelutions so, they lost too

That leaves Unova but they are kind of in a tie with Kanto.

All the regions I mentioned has some kind of evil team no matter how big or small they are but, Unova straight up has a cult, so,

Unova wins, very cool 👍
