Imagine Evie realising that she's gay and feeling really bad about it because she knows that Steve is a really great guy and she doesn't want to break his heart. But then she sees the way he looks at Soda and feels like a huge weight is lifted off her chest because she knows that he's gonna be ok.
Wait 🥺💔 she would feel so much guilt at first because in the time period too she just feels like her feelings are so wrong and she would battle this internally for so long not knowing that Steve feels the same way. She’d be so conflicted and really truly not want to break his heart or hurt him because she does love Steve, he’s so sweet and caring and a gentleman and makes her laugh, she loves him a whole lot, just not in the way she knows she’s supposed to. One day she asks him to sit down and talk and she’s so scared but feeling a little brave because she’s seen his gaze linger on Soda for a little longer than it should. He’ll hold her hand while she talks and let her say her piece before saying anything at all and as soon as she’s done, he kisses her forehead and tells her that he isn’t upset at all. Then he tells her about his own feelings and she teases him a little by saying she already kind of knew. And it really is all okay, because despite the time period and bigotry and how complicated it all is, they have each other.
Side note- I know she plays Marcia, but I really like to imagine SarahGrace Mariani from the outsiders musical as Evie!! In my head whenever I think of them I picture her as Evie and Tom Cruise’s Steve and it’s my personal favorite way to imagine them 🥰
Anyway- I really loved this anon, you’ve inspired me to possibly one day write a fic. No promises tho, I’m severely lacking fic motivation. But tldr- we love Stevie in this household 🫶

hey, any tips for staying in love with a series youre making? youve been working on quantum merit for 2 years now i think? any time i get an idea i just have it in the back of my mind that in a couple weeks im going to lose interest, let alone actually go through and start working on it. finishing soemthing is a distant dream. your art is amazing and a huge inspiration for me (is creativity infectious? bc thats how i feel whenever i read qm) so i was hoping maybe you had some insight. thanks <3
over two and a half years at this point actually! crazy! lacking the ability to follow through is a problem i've long had in life. i started drawing QM to try and curtail this. the trick isn't actually to stay in love with a series you're making, the trick is to learn to make things when you don't necessarily love it.
for me, the entire point of doing something operating on this level of self indulgence and experimental technique was to enable myself to churn stuff out even when i think everything i am doing is absolute shit, which is extremely extremely frequently. for long-haul projects you have to be willing and able to work on them even when you think all of your ideas are bad and all of your work is bad and not only is this the worst thing you have ever made, it is the worst thing anyone has ever made. the way i try and get through working on stuff when this is how i feel is that i remind myself i am not special in any way shape or form. everyone else in human history has had to make a lot of bad stuff before they get the privilege of making good stuff. this is allowed to be mine.
another thing that really helps is making sure that the process can be enjoyable even without good results. sometimes even when i hate everything i'm doing in terms of Substance, the act of just getting to draw something feels satisfying enough that i can make myself do it. this goes for all art, i think, not just long projects. if the Process is something you force yourself to sit through waiting for the end reward of a finished product, you're probably never going to be a functional artist. if you don't love Making art and you only love Finishing art you'll quickly find you don't make or finish much of anything.
additionally, i think an important part with long hauls like this is to never, ever look at the finish line. if i keep drawing the amount of stuff i have planned at the rate i have been drawing it, i will be at this for several more years minimum. thats an entirely overwhelming and terrifying thing to think about, and dwelling on it makes me freeze up and want to quit while i'm ahead. so i try not to ever think about actually finishing it. i have no idea if ill finish it i dont even have the slightest fucking clue what my life would even look like in the five years this could take to finish because it already looks nothing like it looked like three years ago. so instead focus on progress. if you think about finishing something you'll never do anything, if you think about just making a little bit of progress you can look back and suddenly you have over 100 full color pages. one foot in front of the other
i would also feel completely insincere if i did not mention how much all of the kind words people have had for my comic have helped me in finding the motivation to continue! seriously, it means so much to me that people like it. external motivation is not the be-all end-all of anything, but i suggest finding at least one friend who is willing to be your hype man and make them talk you out of being insane when you hate everything youre working on. when i reach the point where i literally like can't even tell what the pages im working on look like anymore i send them to my friends and make them all tell me that these are very normal looking drawings.
best of luck with your future endeavors anon i hope any of this is helpful! its an honor to be considered inspiring in any way
#Qm

What are your tips for people in need of a refreshing skill set for drawing digital or electronic or on paper/sketch book?
I have to say first, this is completely said from my experience with music, study, art, etc, will focus on art. I have been taking some courses but, it's nothing big, I'm still a begginer on art.
Do warm-ups, Go with your basics first, find what you want to focus on, try something new, and then search for tools to learn the skill,
Warming up can help you loose the line and overall health on your wrist. This doesn't take long, it's a short step
Go with your basics first helps you remember how is your drawing structure, what are the usual things you do and what are things you stopped doing, from forms to references, what are the things you would usually search? How can you get them better ? What you lack of? Are great questions.
Focus on what are the new skills you wanna achieve. With this step you could also ask what is your motivation, is there any artist that inspire you? How is their work?, Ask yourself about your own drawings questions that will help you find an structure of your usual focus:
Do you draw characters?
Do you draw landscapes or backgrounds?
Have you ever tried drawing plants, machines, instruments, objects, fluffy stuff?
What is the skill that you need and that your project needs to become what you imagined? Is it color ? Is it a new rendering technic? Is it knowing more about anatomy ? Backgrounds? Or is it over all changing the structure of how you plan your picture ? Analyse what you should focus on and with that we can go to the last step!
Search for information/tools to help you get that/those refreshing skills!!
There's tons of free info out there thanks to the internet, but depending of what skill you want it can be hard to obtain basics of that exact thing, books can be a great deal if you have the resources for it.
Whenever is YouTube, courses, tips from other artist or books always remember to keep it easy first, little by little start absorbing it, and get a Rythm that works for you.
After that you can start thinking about materials that you have to draw, do you need an upgrade? A new sketchbook? Some pencils? What difference would it make?
As a psychologist student I would say, learning how you learn will make a huge difference, thinking about yourself as an active learner can make you change the switch for the better ! Go give your brain knowledge!!
Last thing, every person is different and what works for me might not work for everybody, keep in mind this isn't a recipe, they're flexible steps you can change depending on your needs!

I believe it is Michael Angelo who's said, "I saw the angel in the marble and carved till I set him free" You saw the devil in the Scream and wrote until you set the world ablaze, the world in it's entirety on fire with your brilliance. I say this because Debaser itself should be considered a work of art. (Both the Cis AND the Trans version! They're incredibly well executed!!)
Your work is a spider i'd love to keep as a pet, it's always a joy to read, and I find myself often caught in it's proverbial web whenever I commute to work, it's just, phenomenal!!!
I've never been a huge fan of the slashers genre, not for a lack of interest but simply because I was never motivated enough to do so, I only happened upon Debaser from a friend of a friend and let me say what a blessing that rec was because my goodness is your written word an eighth world wonder! It actually inspired me to give the Scream series a shot and the characters both on screen and from your fanfic were cut from the same cloth!!
You captured their personalities perfectly, in fact I found myself almost anticipating the movie to just have a scene of Stu and Billy slamming it down big style in the middle of a party city, clean up on aisle 69 indeed! (Then again both the kitchen AND the cornering Randy scenes were stock-filled with enough sexual tension to make a courtesan flush)
This was much longer then I anticipated, but I wrote this out with the intent to thank you so much for sharing such a gorgeous slice of happiness!! May your winters be warm and your pillows stay cold! (Unless you like warmer pillows, in which case I hope they stay hot?)
Thank you! ^^
Yo. I am B L U S H I N G?????
seriously thank you this is so deeply flattering and such a lovely comment godamn I am humbled 😭 the fact that you came to my fic not even from the fandom and also compared my work to a spider? My dude I don’t even know how to express how crazy awesome it feels to hear that.
(And LMAO yeah they should be slamming it down big style in party city, fucking absolutely.)
GAH. Anyways thank you so much, it’s incredible to receive comments like this, they give me so much writing energy. THANK YOU SO I SINCERELY MUCH.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the fic!

hi !! so i’ve followed you for a while now and i like all your posts but i’m really interested in whenever you post about your art classes in college! i want to be an art major myself but my college doesn’t have that good of an art program and i also don’t really know how art classes usually work. obviously if this feels like it’s too prying or would be too much information than is safe to give online then u can ignore this but if you don’t mind/have time could you tell me a bit about how being an art major works or what classes you took? your art is really cool and a huge inspiration to me and i want to try and be where you’re at one day. thank u :)
Sorry for the very late response to this! I have been In Hell with final projects which I guess is the first thing I have to say about art school: every class gives you a huge final project at the end all at once and expects you to have time for it. haha
So I was actually in a similar situation to you when I started college. I was originally a music major at a university that had really great programs for performing arts but was sort of lacking in the visual arts department. By my second semester of freshman year I was taking an art minor, by sophomore year I switched to an art major and a music minor, and by spring break sophomore year I knew for sure the existing art program wasn’t going to give me what I needed, and so I transferred schools in between sophomore and junior year. I knew I didn’t want to go to a private conservatory school because a) the prices are exorbitant, b) I have a lot of interests and wanted to have options in case I changed my mind again, and c) the lack of exposure to other academic areas means the rate of burnout at those schools is ridiculously high. I ended up at a university with a highly rated art program in a major that includes courses in the subject matter I wanted (namely comics/sequential art and concept art).
for how art classes work: generally your art classes will take the form of “studios”, which at my school are ~3hrs long twice a week. during that time you either sit through lectures and demonstrations or just work in class, or sometimes a combination of both. Professors assign projects to be completed based on a given rubric. It’s pretty standard to have 3-4 projects per course, sometimes with additional smaller homework exercises that are usually either graded lower or not graded at all. At the end of each project most classes will hold in-class critique, where each student informally presents their finished piece and receives constructive feedback from classmates and the professor. Some professors allow you to make adjustments after crit before turning it in again, and some don’t. Generally I’ve found most art professors to be pretty flexible about stuff but there are a few bad eggs in any department.
Generally I don’t think majoring in art is necessary for being a professional artist. There are tons of wonderful resources (YouTube videos, online workshops, in person workshops at your local arts center or artist studio collective) that can give you the same things you would be getting in college just for a fraction of the price. The benefit of art majoring is, I think, mostly about making connections with people in the industry and with your peers. It’s been the right move for me because I have trouble self-motivating and I’ve loved having access to student publications and clubs, as well as having access to student-organized art markets and other similar events, but I also have always done well in academic settings and college scheduling in many ways mirrors the way I was homeschooled which fits my learning style very well. Again, though, it’s not for everyone and it 100% comes down to the individual person. You could also always do a combination of things: getting your associates at a community college will get a lot of your gen ed coursework out of the way if you then transfer to a full university to finish your bachelors.
Hopefully that was helpful! Let me know if you have any other specific questions I didn’t address.

Clive Madande: Franchise Cricket Can Bring New Talent to Zimbabwe
Wicketkeeper Clive Madande hopes his team can put up a strong performance against India in the upcoming five-match T20 series starting Saturday. He believes that greater participation in franchise cricket could attract more young talent to the sport in Zimbabwe.
Tumblr media
The Day Cricket Became a Passion
Clive Madande’s love for cricket began as a 12-year-old when his father took him to watch a Test match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club in 2014. Zimbabwe’s victory by 24 runs left a lasting impression on him. “It was one of the greatest days in Zimbabwean cricket. We beat Pakistan, and I thought, well, I should play this game,” Madande recalls. Now, a decade later, he is a key figure in reviving Zimbabwe’s cricketing legacy.
The Struggles of Zimbabwean Cricket
Despite that memorable victory, Zimbabwe’s cricket has faced numerous challenges over the past decade. Administrative issues, lack of infrastructure, government interference, salary cuts, and a talent shortage have hindered progress. While there have been occasional upsets, such as beating Australia in an ODI in Townsville and Pakistan in the 2022 World Cup, the golden era of players like the Flower brothers, Neil Johnson, Murray Goodwin, and Heath Streak is a distant memory.
Seeking Guidance from Legends
Madande often seeks advice and motivation from Zimbabwean cricket legends like Dave Houghton and Tatenda Taibu. “Guys like Houghton and Taibu, I speak to them regularly for advice, motivation, and tips. Whenever I feel like struggling, I go back to them,” he says.
Upcoming Challenges and Opportunities
Zimbabwe has a busy schedule ahead, starting with the India T20I series. They will host all top nations except Australia and tour countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and England. Madande sees these matches as a big motivation to play harder and smarter. “Like we showed in the series against Bangladesh, we have talent. We played good cricket there, just that we couldn’t get the results we wanted,” he explains.
Experience and Talent in the Squad
Led by the seasoned Sikandar Raza, Zimbabwe’s team includes experienced players like all-rounders Luke Jongwe and Wessly Madhevere, fast bowlers Tendai Chatara and Blessing Muzarabani. Playing in front of home crowds is a huge advantage. “We would be playing in our backyard; there will be a lot of people cheering for us. It’s still the most popular sport in the country, and a lot of youngsters and schoolboys play this game,” Madande says.
Learning from the Best
Madande acknowledges the strength of the Indian team, even though it is an in-transition squad. He admires players like Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag, and Jitesh Sharma. The 24-year-old knows that strong performances could attract the attention of IPL scouts. “If more of us get to play cricket in franchises, the game would draw more young talent to it, which would be good for the game overall in the country,” he says.
Building a Bright Future
Zimbabwe Cricket is planning to establish a national cricket academy, refurbish the domestic league, and install indoor training facilities at all five domestic centers. Madande is optimistic that these efforts will help Zimbabwe rediscover its giant-slaying mojo and inspire more youngsters to fall in love with the game, just as he did a decade ago.

Commission Match for: Anonymous
Tumblr media
Your match: Kaeya
Tumblr media
Why I believe you two would work:
I believe you and Kaeya would have the best chemistry with one another. He is someone who can both balance being quiet and attentive as well as being friendly and talkative. He also is a big tease which lines up with your attraction.
In addition to him balancing these traits, I feel like he’d allow you to go outside your box more, and still respect your boundaries to not go too far. Based on how you describe yourself, Kaeya would be someone who would help you plan more and see the world. He would want you to enjoy life through socialization and meeting new people. He would admire your loyalty and secret-keeping aspects as well as your creative side. In addition, Kaeya is similar to you as he isn’t afraid to cut people off and would respect your judgment and decision in most cases.
Positives in the relationship:
Both of you would have strong comradery and mutual respect for each others' boundaries and the personal space you’d need with one another. You’d also inspire him to be a better person, motivating him to not see life as a game of chess. Since he’d motivate you to explore and socialize more, you’d most likely gain more friends and travel to niche and popular spots that would cement positively in your memories.
Negatives in the relationship:
Since both of you two are stubborn, if fights do occur they will be fairly nasty. Kaeya is someone who can poke at your buttons too much along with his fear of abandonment. This might lead to him pushing and pulling you back until you have a serious conversation about how this affects you.
Due to your non-confrontational nature, Kaeya might struggle as his communication skills in relationships are also lacking. This may stir bigger fights for smaller things.
All in all, working on a compromise, establishing boundaries, and bettering your communication can avoid many of these issues.
How you got together:
For Klee’s birthday party, Kaeya decided to help Albedo and Jean plan for the party and scoured the internet to lead him to you. He hired you to facepaint for the kids at the birthday party. Seeing you interact with a bubbly and bright Klee made his heart warmer than he’d like to admit. His coworkers nudged and teased that his eyes have not left your form since you got here. Hearing this, he knows he can’t deny the attraction he holds for you. Once your hours are done at the party, he’ll tip you and ask you to go out for coffee sometime with a suave, but wavering smile, reminding you that his number is already on your phone.
Your first kiss:
After dating for a little bit, Kaeya is slightly hesitant about kissing you because he doesn’t want to push you too much yet. The two of you are going rather slow in your relationship and he feared to make you uncomfortable. There would be many times he would lean in, eyes flickering to your lips, only to lean away and move on to talk about something else. This frustrated you so when he did it again, you finally said it was okay for him to kiss you. A small chuckle erupted from his lips before cupping your cheeks, letting his lips reach yours in a sweet, romantic first union.
First “I love you”:
Saying “I love you” is a huge step in Kaeya’s eyes. His fear of getting too close to people will cause him to take a long time to tell you those words. He shows you in his actions all the time, even shows you with his eyes and lips, but he won’t be comfortable saying “I love you” back until he truly means it in his heart. This finally happens on a restless night as you lay in bed, half asleep. You could feel his hand trailing up and down the curve of your back, only to finally lean in and tell you those three words with a tender kiss on your neck.
Relationship Headcanons:
Kaeya tries to get you to draw him all the time. He puts the little doodles you made of him on scrap pieces of paper on the fridge with such pride. Whenever his friends come over and inquire, he simply smirks and shrugs—telling them he’s a model for a beloved artist, his beloved artist.
One of Kaeya’s favorite things to do with you is thrift shopping. Since he’s also very keen on fashion and knows your tastes, he’s always looking out for items he knows would add to your wardrobe. Sometimes when you two are going out, he likes to match aesthetics to pose and flaunt you out in the town.
Kaeya loves when you cook for him, especially if you use any ingredients you grow in your garden. He's not the greatest when it comes to cooking, and he recognizes his faults, which makes him much more appreciative whenever you decide to make him a meal. He’ll continuously pepper kisses along your nape before digging in, not letting one crumb remain to show his appreciation
Kaeya loves it when you hug him from behind. Although it startles him when you first do it, the smile that creeps on his lips is so genuine and content, often thankful for snapping him out of his zone of endless paperwork he has to do, leaning him to procrastinate a lot.
This relationship is full of happy memories and the two of you exploring your strengths with each other. At the end of the day, life is much more lively with you in his life and vice versa. The two of you are so devoted and full of love as if you two are living in a world of your own.

hi! im having the struggles of my life with my writing rn.
i was wondering how you got your writing to this good. what i mean is how do you use such descriptive words and sentences and still make the story so cool and creative.
HI THERE!!! ∠( ˙-˙ )/✧
first of all i just wanna say, omg, this ask have been sitting in my inbox for AGES (maybe even years, oh god) and anon i really hope my reply finds you safe somewhere somehow!!! 😵‍💫
honestly, im not always satisfied with my writing too! like, it takes a reaaaally long time of editing, revising, and even rewriting before im truly ‘okay with putting anything out (as you can probably tell) — and even now i seriously hate reading some of my older works bruh
but that aside, i sat down and tried to compile a list of things i usually take note of. below are some tips that help me through the process!
when you first begin, you might start throwing in a bunch of flowery language etc. to ‘fancy’ everything up a bit (i was guilty of this lmao) BUT too much of a good thing can be bad too, so you don’t wanna risk wasting time on extensive, unrelated descriptions of things that you realise you didn’t have a purpose for in your story… so i think it helps to remember your end goal (by the end of this scene, what is it that you want to establish? what kind of emotion are you trying to capture with your writing?)
to give a concrete example on how: try tapping into the five senses! say i want to write about a creepy murderer in my house (just an example :p) and i situate my mc inside the closet. how do i convey their terror? fear? i would write about their lack of vision — the sheer darkness of the closet. maybe the smell of clothes detergent filling their nose. the muffled creak from down the hallway that makes their heart jump to their throat. adding realistic details increases immersion & absorbs the reader into the story. try to imagine yourself as the characters — what would you experience, feel, see, hear, smell etc.?
of course, this should be done in moderation so you don’t overload the reader’s senses lol ^
secondly, whenever possible, try to play around with your sentence structure. what do i mean by this? short sentences & long sentences both have their own effect (it sounds rly obvious, but it’s important to keep in mind while you write so you don’t lose sight of the progress, or the tone of your writing). when i write, i try to keep a natural flow of sentences (double-checking by reading it aloud in my head) so it doesn’t sound awkward. and of course, this is just my style of writing, but i like to include tons of what is called ‘free indirect discourse’, because i enjoy writing exclusively from a chara’s point of view. (it’s when your character’s opinions and thoughts seep into the narrative, so in this regard it makes it easier to convey their thoughts/feelings about the subject matter)
^^ there’s a famous quote by gary provost worth checking out about the varying ways to utilise long, short & medium sentences. that way, even when you’re throwing in abstract ideas / descriptions, it rarely gets bland or vapid to read :^)
but the best advice i can give you that most people will agree with is to read!! read more! find your favourite authors; what about their writing do you adore? is it their word choice, the clever way they utilise dialogue, the flow of their sentences or the creativity of their plot? there’s definitely merit in identifying these points! then you can apply them to your own writing (not copy, but take inspiration from! there’s a huge difference)
that’s about all i can think of off the top of my head. in the first place, i’ve only now started finding my motivation for writing after a looooong slump 😭 hopefully i can get back into the rhythm of it soon!
if you’ve read this far, hopefully you found it useful! ☺️ just keep in mind that just as every writer’s writing style differs, my advice is completely subjective too! hang in there!! ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ

Moth·er /ˈməT͟Hər/
A woman in relation to her child or children.
My mother is a regular person, yet she is a superhero to me. She encouraged and supported me at every turn. She was always there for me, day or night, no matter what the situation. Furthermore, she inspires me with all of her hard work, perseverance, devotion, and dedication. Although we should respect our elders, I don't adore her just because she's my mother. She has taken care of me when I was unable to talk, and for that I respect her. She attended to all of my requirements at that time when I was unable to talk.
She also helped me learn how to speak, walk, and take care of myself. In a similar vein, my mother has been the only reason for every significant step I have taken in life. She showed me how to take small steps, and without those, I wouldn't be able to take these huge steps. She personifies loyalty, love, and sincerity. She bestows her blessings and life on her family, which is another factor. She also never asks for anything in return for the things she offers us. I'm motivated to treat everyone in the family with the same level of care by the way she does.
She treats every stranger and animal the same way she treated me, her love extends beyond just the family. Because of this, she is very compassionate and thoughtful toward the environment and animals. She overcomes every obstacle in her life as well as those of the family, despite her lack of physical strength. She inspires me to be strong in the face of adversity like her. Above all, my mother motivates me to advance both my academic performance and other abilities. She encourages me to try again and again until I succeed.
My mother is the only person who can protect me from my father when he is reprimanding me or whenever I am in trouble. She was always there for me, whether I had a minor homework issue or a more significant one. She would transform into my light and lead me through the darkness when I was terrified of the dark. She would also hold my head on her lap till I fell asleep if I couldn't sleep at night. Most importantly, she never leaves my side, even during the most trying circumstances.
My first teacher was my mum. She is my mentor, career adviser, friend, and most importantly, my universe. Except for my mum, I have never found somebody who is so close to and important to me. She is the only reason I am still alive. I owe her for everything. I find my existence in her overflowing, boundless affection. In my life, she is the person I trust the most. She watched over me as I grew. Since I was a child, I have benefited from her tenderness, love, and unadulterated compassion. I'm able to live happily because of the wonderful protection provided by her affection. My mother and I have an unshakable bond. Without her, I'm unable to both breathe and act. I find it difficult to breathe easily without her. She is my first teacher.
In her lap, I received my first lesson in selfless love. My mother's lap served as my first learning environment, when I began my educational adventure. My mother works nonstop to keep the house running. She prepares and serves meals for the entire household. She gets up early to prepare breakfast for everyone. She works nonstop throughout the day to meet everyone in the family's demands. My mother is a woman of great strength, courage, and devotion to her duty. She has the ability to work at all times because of the love fountain she possesses. The motivating element is unselfish, unadulterated love. She can help with the physical tiredness because of her selfless devotion.
She is an asset. The person who is viewed as the perfect example of unselfish love, abundant caring, desirable sincerity, and crucial truthfulness. These characteristics of my mother compel me to praise her excellence. I am at a loss for words to describe my mother. She personifies kindness. She is to me the most revered and honorable being after God. My mum is both my best friend and my instructor. She laid the groundwork for my education and gave me the knowledge and abilities that will serve me well in all aspects of my life. My mother is the best friend I have. When I experience any kind of adversity or difficulties in life, she keeps me company. She not only supports and assists me, but she also gives me the confidence to take on life's obstacles head-on.
I express my emotions to her. She is aware of all of my darkest secrets since I have never kept anything from her. When I made a mistake, she was always there to offer advice and correction, and whenever I did anything well, she elevated and showered me with praise. In an effort to fulfill my mother's wish, I have been studying hard. Her achievement is also mine. She has given her all, even her desires, to achieving my objective. Because of her dedication, perseverance, love, and faith, my mother serves as an example to me and motivates me to accomplish more, learn more, and develop more.
My leader is her. She has always defended my demands, so I obey her without thinking. So that I can do everything with comfort and ease, she makes my father aware of my needs. She showed me the way and instructed me in being honest and righteous. My mother gives me life. The quote by Rudyard Kipling, "God could not be everywhere so he created mothers," is true. She is to me like God is to them. She's the reason I have everything, and she's the reason I live. God willing, may she live a long time.
Every mother is unique to her kids. She is an excellent educator, a sweet friend, and a rigorous parent. Additionally, she looks after the needs of the entire family. If anyone loves us more than our mother does, it is only God. Not just for my mother, but for all mothers who put their families first and dedicate their lives for them, deserves commendable appreciation.

Lila Rossi: I’d Say She’s a Good Villain, but Then I’d Be Lying (300 Follower Special)
Tumblr media
Deception and cunning are easily two of the most important traits an antagonist could have. It shows that even if they don't have the strength to overcome obstacles, their wit is more than enough. This kind of trait is why characters like Lex Luthor, David Xanatos, and Princess Azula are so beloved, simply because of how intelligent they can be as villains and pose a real threat to the heroes.
It's clear that the Miraculous Ladybug writers want Lila to be seen as this, but the writing seriously fails to back that claim up.
Easily one of the most controversial characters in Miraculous Ladybug is Lila, mainly for the writing surrounding her. But there was a time where she was actually more of an ambiguous character, mainly for the lack of screentime she had until Season 3. But unfortunately, the more appearances she's had have painted a very poor portrait of an antagonist.
Lila's Tragic and Sympathetic Motivation for Hating Ladybug
Lila's first appearance was at the tail end of Season 1, “Volpina”. She was a new transfer student from Italy, and quickly made friends with a lot of her classmates for the lies she told, including being friends with Ladybug (which Alya blindly believed without doing any research like any excellent journalist). But because of how close she was getting to Adrien, Marinette, in a rare act of selfishness, transforms into Ladybug just to chew out Lila for lying about knowing her, humiliating her in front of Adrien. And this is the only motivation we get for what Lila does afterwards.
I'm not saying that it's wrong for Lila to get upset at Ladybug for doing this, and I like the moment of weakness Marinette has, but this is literally the only explanation we get for Lila deciding to side with Hawkmoth, a literal terrorist. As much as I hated the way the arc turned out, I could still understand Chloe siding with Hawkmoth, as it was clear that Hawkmoth was manipulating her and taking advantage of her ego. Lila? Ladybug's mean to her one time, and that inspires her to conspire with a complete stranger who brainwashes people to attack the city, which endangers innocent people and causes God knows how much in collateral damage if not for Miraculous Ladybug fixing everything.
I just don't get how a single negative interaction with someone is enough to conspire with a literal supervillain. Even in Season 3, when Marinette and Lila truly became enemies, it was because she risked exposing all the lies she told, which could damage her reputation. Sure, it's petty, but it makes sense for Lila to want to keep up the illusion. If she was simply an antagonist to Marinette in her civilian life like Chloe was before “Miracle Queen” , I'd be fine with that, but the writers clearly want her to be seen as on the same level of evil as Hawkmoth. I'll get into why that doesn't work later on.
Why Lila is an Excellent Liar
In my Master Fu analysis, I had pointed out that despite all the flaws he had, the narrative insisted on portraying him as an incredibly wise mentor. The same problem applies for Lila as well. We're supposed to see Lila as an expert manipulator and liar, but her lies are insultingly obvious. She always claims to be friends with celebrities and does all these awesome things, and in an age where we can have almost any question answered thanks to the internet, nobody ever stops to question her.
It's even more frustrating when you hear Lila talk about saving Jagged Stone's cat, when Jagged Stone is established to be very fond of Marinette (evidentially more than his own daughter), and nobody ever points that out. I think if Lila's lies were more stories about her travels around the world than outright lies about real people, it could have worked. It'd still be hard to believe, but it's something.
But this is a problem with writing shows aimed at children. As much as we hate writers who need to spell out things to kids, sometimes, they just don't understand some of the media they consume. Seriously, I never got this joke in SpongeBob as a kid, and I can't believe Nickelodeon actually approved this.
youtube
So the dilemma when writing a show with children in mind is finding that sweet spot between assuming your audience can figure it out, but not being too vague in your details. It's even harder when you need to find a way to convey the fact that someone is lying without being too obvious. Unfortunately, the show clearly fails to do that
Okay, this is going to sound like an incredibly weird thing to cite, and I only know about it because I used to know someone who was a huge fan of the franchise, but the movie Monster High: Friday Night Frights does a better job of subtly explaining to the audience that a character is lying. Please, just hear me out.
The movie follows the main characters competing in their high school's roller derby for the season after everyone on the usual team gets injured, and the championship match is against another school whose team tends to cheat to win matches. How they manage to do this without getting caught is anyone's guess. While the main characters are practicing, their coach, Clawd, notices a spy for the enemy team taking video of them to study their moves. In response, he calls over one of the athletes, Operetta, to chew her out for her showboating attitude. In reality, he's alerting her to the spy. Only using facial expressions, he clues her, and by extension, the audience, in on the fact that they know what the opposing team is trying to do.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This soon leads to Operetta pretending to tell the enemy team about their secret plan for the championship match, which was really an attempt to outsmart them to gain the advantage in the final stretch. The brilliance of this is how the audience is informed of this with no dialogue, and there's no scene afterwards spelling it out for those who don't get it. It manages to convey deception without being too obvious that Clawd and Operetta are being deceitful.
I think if there were more subtle hints to show the audience Lila was lying, she would be seen in a better light. As it is, Lila's lies are just pathetic, and it's ridiculous that everyone believes her. Which leads me to...
Lila, the Master Manipulator
I once read a Star Trek: Voyager fanfic that poked fun at the series by claiming that the reason a lot of the dumber episodes like “Threshold” and “Twisted” happened was because one of the crew members was an alien who unintentionally produced mood altering pheromones, with Captain Janeway actually realizing they were all high because of said pheromones, while two of the unaffected crew members were wondering what the hell they were doing before they found out the cause. Why do I bring this up? Sometimes, it feels like Lila is an unintentional parallel to the alien in that story.
Like so many characters, it's clear the show desperately wants the audience to view Lila in a certain way, but her actions do very little to actually back up that claim. When she's not using lies to tell stories about so many famous people she knows like her uncle who works for Nintendo, Lila is using strategies to manipulate everyone that are so obviously deceptive, the Thermians could pick up on them. Everyone and their mother knows how ridiculous a lot of what Lila does in episodes like “Chameleon” and “Ladybug” are, and I've talked about them before, so I'll try to be quick.
First off, as someone who had access to accommodations through high school and has had assistance in college so far, there is no way in hell that Ms. Bustier should take Lila's tinnitus at face value in “Chameleon”. If a student has a disability that could interfere with the education process, physical or developmental, not only does the school have to evaluate their performance, and determine if they're eligible for an Individualized Education Program, or IEP, but her teachers would have to be notified in the first place. As her primary educator, Ms. Bustier would be part of the team to oversee Lila's IEP and determine what accommodations she needs to help her learn better with her tinnitus and arthritis. But because the writers don't know what Google is, they just ignore it,  assume that Lila can just say she has a disability, and have everyone believe it. Even when Eric Cartman pretended to be disabled to compete in the Special Olympics, he put in more effort to look the part, even if he looked like a caricature.
Then there's the fact that that in “Chameleon”, everyone just believes Lila when she says Marinette stole her grandmother's necklace when not only is said necklace from the Agreste line of jewelry, but Alya, who is Rena Rouge, can't pick up on the fact that it's a fake. All she does to justify these lies is come up with a sob story about how nobody believes her, yet nobody ever tries to defend Marinette except Alya one time, and it was after she got expelled.
Or what about in “Oni-Chan”, where Lila thinks having Kagami kill Ladybug while claiming she'll back away from Adrien is a good idea? Let's say Oni-Chan does kill Ladybug or at least take away her Miraculous, what then? We know Lila wouldn't go through with this promise, and as soon as Kagami sees her harassing Adrien, she'll be ripe for akumatization again. Overall, not a great plan.
And yet somehow, this last example is what made her worthy enough to become one of Hawkmoth's most trusted agents. I'm just going to say it: Lila is not a good fit for the power of illusion. Whenever she's Volpina or Chameleon, she always goes out of her way to make a big show instead of being subtle with her deceptions. “Chameleon” is the worst offender, as even though Lila gets the power to shapeshift into someone else, instead of being discreet and cornering people into kissing them and gaining their appearance, she just runs around to get Ladybug's attention instead of being subtle. Even Felix had the bright idea to pretend to be Adrien to catch Ladybug off guard. How do you lose to something that happened in “Felix”?
Despite all of these screw-ups, we're still supposed to see her as this master of deception worthy of allying with Hawkmoth in both his supervillain and civilian form, when really, she's a terrible liar on the schoolyard and on the battlefield.
Why Lila is an Important Character
In the grand scheme of things, Lila just isn't as important of a character that the show loves to parade her around as. She's nothing more than a plot device used to raise the stakes in an episode, given how much reality seems to bend over just to accommodate for her lies. Even when the show alludes to her being part of bigger things, like her deal with Adrien, or her rivalry with Marinette, they don't even go anywhere.
She just feels pointless when you remember Astruc's brilliant idea to force Chloe into being the final Akuma for the season while Lila isn't even mentioned once. She only really makes appearances whenever the writers feel like it, which is why it’s hard to take her seriously. Why should I take this character seriously as a threat if the writers refuse to take her seriously as a threat? Why build Lila up as a big threat and not give her a major role in the finale? Why even include her in the show in the first place when you could show Chloe being more manipulative to fill in the plots Lila plays a big part in?
As of the time I am writing this analysis, four episodes of Season 4 have aired, three of them have been about lies or deception, and Lila hasn't been mentioned at all. It honestly seems like she won't appear unless the writers need a easy way to drive up the conflict, so they can justify it by saying that Lila's “superpower” of lying is more powerful than the common sense of everyone else.
I'm sorry this post was shorter than the last one, but compared to Master Fu, there's not that much to say about Lila that I haven't already said. Even the show barely gives her any attention, so it's hard for me to really find a lot to talk about.

Writing With *Depression*
Depression is something that many people deal with. I got diagnosed with it a couple years ago, and while I've certainly been able to manage it better with the help of therapy and medication, I certainly still find myself struggling once in a while. If you are a writer who struggles to write when depressed, you might find this thread helpful.
Try reading if you don't struggle either, because this can also help for those of you have lack having motivation to write!
Don't force yourself to write
More often than not, we as writers find ourselves thinking that we have to write every single day to "be a writer." That is not the case. Sure, it's great to write every single day, but if you find yourself struggling to write, then don't do it!
Now, this doesn't mean "don't write at all." Because, you SHOULD try and write. But, if you're having an extra hard day and just can't get yourself to write, don't ridicule yourself.
Instead of setting a time for when you should write, try and get yourself to write whenever you think about your book. Whatever ideas you have in your head about the story, write them down somewhere, whether it be in your notes app, on an index card etc. Every idea might help inspire something great in your story, and it's best to keep track of little scenes and pieces of dialogue.
Talk to your writer friends
I find that most of my inspiration for writing when I'm feeling really low is actually Instagram. More often than not I find myself scrolling through memes and looking at other writers and their advice. (Specifically @/fictionalturtlenecks because she's the best. I'll tag her in case you want to look at her account because she's a huge inspiration of mine. Great energy!)
Genuinely, just looking at what other people can do can either be a positive or negative thing. Here's what you DON'T do.
Don't compare yourself to other writers. That is a horrible thing to do regardless of whether or not you struggle with depression or any other mental illness.
Just that. Instead of comparing yourself to others, try and talk with them. Interact with their posts. Stuff like that. I was in a pretty bad place a couple weeks ago, but I finally started commenting on some instagram posts about my characters and I've actually been able to write about my story!
Take any writing as a win!
If you write 20 words for the first time in days, weeks, or months, that is a big accomplishment. As I stated previously: You don't need to write every day to be a writer.
Any amount of writing is a win when you struggle with depression.
Praise yourself for writing anything at all.
Because, honestly, writing one sentence can help you start up again. All you have to do is try.

about mental health & writing motivation
tw— mentions of depression; anxiety; ocd
long post ahead
it’s been so long since i was last here that i feel strange typing this. this in no way a very articulated post, or at least i don’t think it will be since i’m writing this at 6:09 am after not having slept during the whole night so if you decide to read, thank you.
as you’ve noticed i’ve been absent for a while (or maybe you haven’t, cause this is tumblr and most people come here to log off from real life and have a good time which i also used to do until logging in felt like a chore hence why i’m making this post). anyways, i’ve been absent from tumblr cause i really wasn’t enjoy it anymore.
i discovered tumblr like six years ago, and just realizing that feels so surreal cause for me it’s been like a mere short breath. i was in a not so good headspace and tumblr gave me a save space to connect to people and content that i really wanted to see. fandoms and that sort of stuff. at the time i was so amazed at the freedom the people on this app seemed to have that i just loved it.
i’ve been writing since i was 6 years old and i’ve been writing for my favorite fandoms since i’m 12 so for me joining the x reader, imagines & headcanons side of tumblr was a very natural step. i begun writing for haikyuu in an old blog that it’s not active anymore and it was so much fun. i felt creative, i felt inspired and i felt happy. i had been dealing with depression for several years prior to that so the buzz of serotonin i got from writing and from people actually reading what i posted was amazing.
if you’d experienced depression you know that external stimulus doesn’t lasts for too long. it’s not that the things you enjoy aren’t fun, or good anymore, more like your brain just isn’t properly balanced so no amount of external factors can actually make it not be depressed. so the buzzed faded, so i tried to hold onto it by forcing me to write more and more. which didn’t work of course. eventually i simply stopped doing it.
until i opened this new account.
i told myself that i would take things easy this time, that i wouldn’t pressure myself to write this time, that i wouldn’t compare myself to others writers, that i would do my own thing and just, enjoy it. but then i didn’t, i couldn’t. my mind is working 24/7 but my levels of motivation aren’t even close to catch up to that since well, my depression keeps me for having too much energy when it’s at its worst.
and my depression on top of my anxiety, and my ocd have been at its worst for nearly 3 years now. so whenever i got a new idea, i begun a draft and then i couldn’t come back to work on it.
i try of course, i open my drafts regularly but, as i’m unable to work on them i just grow guilty of not being able to write.
i know i’m far from being a huge, popular blog, but opening this blog i fell once again into a trap of my own making: pressuring myself to write because i have to, well, because i feel that i have to. that if i can stick up to a schedule and just get it done i will be able to overcome my slump.
and i’ve just recently realized that, that isn’t possible. cause i’ve turned one of my biggest sources of happiness into a chore, an obligation, a lifesaver to magically cure me from my clinical depression. making me completely unable to write without feeling like i’m fighting against myself to win a prize that in the end doesn’t give me satisfaction.
long story short, i made myself hate writing. and i’m done with that.
i wanna write from a place of happiness again. i don’t wanna feel like i’m letting anyone down if i don’t post, or if i don’t finish a draft. or if i can’t write as beautifully as i would like. since i’m not a native english speaker sometimes it’s hard to not compare myself to other writers and feel frustrated cause i just know that if i were writing in my native language i could do so much more.
to begin closing this post that it’s definitely getting more than long:
this is a new beginning.
i don’t plan to stop writing, but i’m just gonna let myself go at my own pace. i’ve been dying for kinktober to begin and i’ve wanted to participate on it for years so i’m gonna focus on that for the time being.
meaningless effort is on hiatus until further notice which was something i was so afraid to admit cause i just didn’t wanna let anybody down. i but i hope you can’t understand and will be there to support it if/when i come back to it.
i guess this is a post more for myself than for anyone who is reading this, [but if you are, i wanna thank you for all your support]
the lack of feedback of course is also an important factor on my lack of motivation, but that’s a topic other authors have addressed far more eloquently that i could on this post. a,so, feeling my writing as chore i was in o place to ask for more comments or interactions like reblogs cause it just made me feel guilty in the past.
i guess if i had to sum it up i’d say it’s far more important that you are happy with your writing before trying to please anyone else. you shouldn’t try to prove yourself to anyone else, even if that someone is you. and if you’re not happy anymore doing something [try to see if you can reconcile with it, and if you can’t that’s valid] whatever you do, do it from your heart, do it for yourself and whatever comes next will be okay.
tldr— new beginnings, mental health ruined writing for me but i’m starting again, kinktober is my main focus & i will write to make myself happy, stay tuned if you’d like :)
thank you for reading all the way trough if you do, i sincerely hope life is nice to you & i’m sending you good vibes.
love you all 🤍🤍🤍

ALRIGHT-
SO
I've had this list of headcannons just sitting in my notes app of my phone and I wanna put it somewhere so 👀
(These are heavily inspired by what I could gather from the skele boys in @bonelyheartsclub! I just threw in a few of my own.)
-----------*
Sans
- Does a LOT of stargazing and has quite a few space-themed knicknacks and clothes in his room. He's got a telescope too!
- Dad jokes. Any time is prime dad joke time. He's never let an opportunity slip past him.
- He's an absolute prank master. You're considered lucky if you happen to avoid the ones he's planted around the house like bombs waiting to go off.
- He's cryptic as fuck. Always giving half-true answers to every question. Occasionally he may slip up and give you a brutally honest response, but that's only with the people he trusts most, and he finds being open to be very difficult.
- He's constantly referencing memes and vine quotes from days of yore. He practically has a database of every meme ever in his head, and he doesnt let it go to waste.
- Cuddling with him is basically a one way ticket to nap-town, and you constantly find yourself waking up to him smooshed against you on the couch after dozing off. For being a skeleton, he is a surprisingly comfortable snuggler.
-----------*
Papyrus
-So much baking and cooking. It's his favorite past time, and the kitchen never smells the same when he's done making whatever he's making in there (it's 12 times out of 10 pasta) And while his cooking may be sub-par, you never say no when he asks you to try his latest dish.
- He's always up to go shopping with you. It never matters where. Malls are his favorite, especially the big grand ones with fountains and huge windows. He makes it a point to bring spare cash because you KNOW he's going to ride the mini marry-go-round even if he can barely fit in the seats.
- You two love to binge watch cooking channels. Always discussing which foods would be the most fun to make, writing down recipies, and having a hell of a time trying to pause the show at the right points to get all the information down.
- Papyrus is notorious for game nights. He's always pulling out boards and cards that you've never heard of before and never starts a game until he's absolutely certain you know the rules. Winning of course, is always his prime goal when it comes to games, but if he senses you're on a particularly rough losing streak, he MAY slip up. Occasionally. Just enough so you can win a game or two. Or five.
-----------*
Blue
- Hyper as all hell. You give him a reasonable dose of sugar or caffeine and he could power an entire city for a few hours without breaking a sweat.
- If he had been in high school, Blue would have been a theater kid. He's always humming a tune from a Broadway show or Disney movie, and he's got a pretty good collection of songs on his brother's Spotify playlist.
- This guy will blast Steven Universe music at full volume he has no shame.
- If you are ever driving somewhere with him, an aux cord is a MUST. Singing in the car is a very frequent thing with you two, and you'll only get out after the song is over.
- He likes cryptids! Mothman is his favorite and he firmly believes he exists somewhere.
- He's your workout buddy. If he manages to drag you to the gym with him, that is.
- Blue hates seeing you down in the dumps, and is always trying to cheer you up with his quirky puns and jokes to get you smiling again.
- He'd be the best motivational poster ever. Whenever he picks up that you're going through a rough spot and falling behind on self-care, he knows just what to say to put the spark back in you again.
-----------*
Stretch
- Radiates goblin energy.
- A goddamn meme lord.
- He's made two or three widely known viral videos and nobody knows it was him.
- You need someone to go to an anime convention with? Stretch is your guy. He's god awful at planning stuff out, but he'll make sure you both have a good time, no matter what happens.
- He's really big into nerd culture, and he DMs for a dungeons and dragons game every week.
- He'll occasionally smoke, but he doesnt have lungs, so he does it more for shits and giggles than anything else.
- As lazy as he seems, he is very reliable. If he knows it's something important to you, he'll get it done. Chores though, he's a lot more iffy with.
- He really likes bees.
-----------*
Red
- Talks big talk, but he's actually a huge softie.
- He's basically a big pillow with sharp teeth that can curse.
- A nervous wreck.
- His brother shops at Hot Topic. He shops at Spencer's. Very convenient.
- He's a pretty big flirt and throws out little compliments and things to butter you up from time to time.
- If you take Red into a Dave and Busters he will win the most expensive prize at the booth in about 2 hours. (He knows how to cheat at every single game)
- He's a competitive gamer, and has a pretty impressive following on Twitch.
- He can go from loud and brash to quiet and insecure in a matter of moments, depending on the situation.
- He loves to bake, although it's something he will never be caught dead doing.
- Comfort is not his strong suit, but he will defend you without a second thought.
- He can be a little clingy and will text you now and again to ask what you're up to, just to ease his mind.
-----------*
Boss
- Professionalism is his game.
- The walking embodiment of Hot Topic.
- He loves to listen to rock and screamo music. He's also got a thing for Disney villain songs.
- You need some punk biker or vampiric goth fashion advice? Boss got ya.
- Skellator Man.
- Out of all the skeletons, Boss has the biggest ego.
- He hates admitting he's wrong. He would rather DIE than admit he's fucked up something.
- "I am not nice-"
- He could kill a man with his high heels.
- If it's got spikes he'll probably wear it.
- Tsundere. Tsundere. Tsundere. Tsundere. Tsu
- Did I mention he's a cold blooded tsundere.
-----------*
Nox
- Small angery man.
- He listens to a lot of classic and instrumental music. He finds it very sophisticated.
- Wakes up obscenely early in the morning. Always followed by a cup of the most bitter coffee on the planet.
- Comes up with the best insults. He could roast someone so hard that they'd dissolve into a pile of soot. He could glare at you and you'd cease to exist. He's that good.
- WILL step on you without remorse.
- Threatens to kill someone on a daily basis.
- Very rarely has spare time for himself. He's always keeping busy doing something.
- Loves dark, dry humor. A child falling off a swing will have him laughing for a good five minutes.
- Has a stone cold poker face.
- He might have a softer side to him. You may never know because of the walls he's built up around him.
-----------*
Rus
- He absolutely adores animals. He volunteers at the local animal shelter and plans on adopting every single dog there.
- Rus has a massive sweet tooth. Donuts are his favorite, and you can easily bribe him with anything sugar coated.
- A road trip master. You put him in a camper and he knows exactly where he's going and what he's doing.
- "Going off grid, fuck yeah- I pull out my credit cards and shred 'em."
- Hiking, camping and geocaching are some of his favorite things to do. He loves to explore the wilderness and it's like he has a built-in compass for finding his way.
- His ideal date is going to a Wal-Mart and causing absolute chaos by riding bikes around and tossing all of the inflatable balls from their displays.
- Cryptidcore energy.
- Rus loves watching Buzzfeed Unsolved and ghost huntings. He's a big fan of Supernatural and Stranger Things, too.
- Stutters and slurs his words a lot. He's got some speech impediments from the gold canines in his mouth.
- A bit lacking when it comes to social skills, but he can be extremely caring and sweet.
-----------*
Ash
- Very soft-spoken and awkward. He doesn't get much social interaction and is still figuring some things out.
- He's very self-aware of the wound in his head. Whenever he has to leave the house he wears some sort of hat to cover it up.
- Practically lives in his garden. He understands plants more than he does human beings, and he spends time daily tending to whatever he's growing.
- Him and his brother are both vegetarians, and the smell or sight of meat makes them both feel sick to themselves.
- Has trouble sleeping due to his reoccurring nightmares. He will often sit in his garden late at night to help calm himself.
- Radiates soft energy. He would absolutely give the best hugs out of all the skeletons.
- Very touch-starved. Physical affection is something he rarely recieves, and he probably lingers with touches a lot longer than he should.
- Unintentionally makes God-teir jokes without realizing it.
----------*
Poplar
- Very well-educated in a lot of things. He really likes stocking up on useless factoids and making up his own just to mess with people.
- He answers Jeopardy questions with concerning accuracy.
- He enjoys going out to eat, and he's always up to try fancy foods.
- He likes photography and reading. He is well into the Harry Potter series.
- Poplar is prepared for anything at any time. A lot of stuff doesnt phase him at all, and it's difficult to catch him off-guard.
- He's willing to try anything new, once.
- Always willing to help out with schoolwork if he thinks you're seriously struggling with it.
- He's always carrying around small planners and notebooks to write in so he can keep track of things.

Something Else - Trans!(O) Amajiki Tamaki x (A) F!Reader

Prologue | Chap 1 | Chap 2 | Chap 3 | Chap 4 | Chap 5
————————— Epilogue
“Cheers!”
The loud sound of glass clinking against glass made Tamaki flinch, but to see Mirio and Nejire’s bright expressions, and his mate’s proud look, it was worth the slight discomfort.
Tonight was his leaving do from Fat gum’s agency. After four years of loyal service, he was finally creating his own agency with Mirio and Nejire. The thought was as exciting as it was frightening. He had gotten used to working with the Pro Hero, as the specifics of their quirks made them a nice pair. Still, the thought of working with his best friends was appealing, and when a few months ago, Mirio had brought up their childhood dream of becoming Pro Heroes working together... He had accepted.
Nejire had joined in their project with her usual enthusiasm, as her contract with the agency she worked at was coming to an end anyway. Tamaki knew his mate would have joined too, but she couldn’t for the time being, her work with Gang Orca slowly but surely coming to fruition . In a year or two, maybe .
The Omega had been a bit disappointed to hear that, but after a few days of sulking and a calm discussion, he had come around it. It was hard sometimes working with people you loved, and as long as she came back to him every night, he would be happy.
Tonight’s gathering was also the occasion to celebrate with his friends the three-year landmark since the beginning of his transition. By now, he no longer felt any of the after-effects that had plagued him for a year and a half after the treatment. His scent was now clear as that of any Omega, sweet enough for his mate to get drunk on it. Hearing people refer to him as an Alpha in the present tense had gotten rarer and rarer; and now that he was bonded to his ever-loving mate, and had a job he liked with his best friends as colleagues, it seemed nothing could get more perfect.
Being able to be true to himself had been a real awakening for Tamaki, who had gone a long way since his high school days in matters of self-esteem. While he was not the most assertive hero, and he still got shy around people he did not know, Tamaki was a whole lot more confident now than he had been as an Alpha. Confident in himself, in his abilities. Every time he looked at his mate, as she was engaging in a lively conversation with one of Fatgum’s Beta sidekicks, he saw the flash of purple, gold and white around her neck, and he was reminded of it.
As he had been injured and on medical leave for a while about a year ago, he had reluctantly tried crocheting again, hoping to kill some time until his Alpha could come home to him. Much to his surprise, now that he was free of the pressure and expectancy of him to craft a courting gift, he had found the activity much more enjoyable. After a few tries, he had been able to gift his Alpha a present he was actually proud of; a new scarf in his colors, that he had scented at her request –to motivate her to come back earlier, she had joked, but he knew it was because of how much his Omega’s scent calmed her whenever her Alpha went in a frenzy.
He had complied, secretly happy to have her wear his scent. Though much of her Alpha’s overzealousness was now channeled towards him, she was still known to show a lot of care towards any Omega she might find, fussing particularly over the civilians she was rescuing. Tamaki knew it to be her nature, and he loved her for it, but sometimes, he was a bit afraid these Omegas would get ideas and get attached to his mate. She was aware of his sentiments on the matter, of course, and often asked him to thoroughly scent her before she left for work, if only to bring peace to his mind.
“Excuse me, Suneater?”
Tamaki startled, looking away from his mate and to a girl wearing UA’s uniform. She looked young enough, probably in second year. Tamaki didn’t seek to breathe in her scent, a habit he found distasteful as he knew full well one’s identity was not dictated by their scent, but as he took an inspiration to calm his anxiety, it was the absence of any particular smell that made him tick. She was using scent blockers.
“Y-yes?”
In the background, Tamaki heard his mate end her conversation with the sidekick, and he felt her move closer to him. It comforted him slightly, as the bubbly student introduced herself.
“I am sorry to bother you, but I have something pretty important to ask you.” She didn’t beat around the bush, displaying an engaging grin. “I’m a second-year in UA, and I am j ust like you .”
In the way she emphasized the words, and coupled with the eerie lack scent emanating from her, the Pro Hero immediately understood what she meant.
While the shy boy didn’t go out of his way to let it know that he hadn’t always been an Omega, he hadn’t done anything to hide it either, and with some researches online, any fan could come across this information. Fans ; he had not always expected to have them. He didn’t shine by his personality like Lemillion , or by his feats like All Might. Still, he had been proven wrong when Fatgum’s agency had started receiving fan mail about him as well; a lot of praise, of thanks, some gifts –some of them profoundly inappropriate.
He had received some heartfelt letters, about how knowing he was one of ‘them’ had inspired a few into transitioning as well; or about how they dealt with their assigned second gender, not wanting the treatment. All of them moved to learn there was a Hero somewhat like them in the noticeable rankings.
“I am hosting an awareness event at the school in two weeks. You have been a huge inspiration to me, you’re a Pro Hero a lot of us can relate to, and seeing you being well on your way to the top makes me feel like maybe I have a chance too.”
Tamaki looked down in embarrassment, flattered yet nervous. One thing caught his attention, though, below the student’s neck. There, hooked to the strap of her bag, a vibrantly colored pin with the symbols of the Alpha, the Beta and the Omega artistically intertwined.
“I want to make it so that students like us in the Hero course, and all other classes, know they are not alone and that they are not freaks. I want all the others to listen too. We can’t have allies if they’re not even aware we exist!” She chuckled, Tamaki’s silence seemingly making her a bit unsure.
He felt his Alpha link her fingers with his, and caught her look of fond encouragement. She squeezed his hand, looking pointedly over to the teen and then at him again.
The shy young man cleared his throat, shaking slightly his head to try to stop his anxiety from taking over.
“It-it’s a great project.” He finally answered, his free hand fiddling with the fabric of his cape. “I hope many will come to listen. D-did principal Nezu give you access to the main lecture theater?”
The student smiled; her cheeks ever so tinted from joy to hear her idol approved of her initiative.
“He did. I hope it will be filled with fellow students. I have invited several Pro Heroes, whom I found to be overtly trans, to come share their story and point of view. So, I guess a number of students will come, if only out of curiosity.”
Tamaki nodded; it did not really matter the motivations that brought the students at this conference, so long as they stayed to hear the point of the meeting.
The student seemed to hesitate a bit, as if suddenly overcome with some shyness.
“It would mean a lot to me if you could come and share your experience too.”
She must have felt how much he tensed at the prospect, for she immediately looked to regret the anxiousness she had projected upon him.
“Your mate could come too, as an ally, of course!” She assured him, which only seemed to relax him a tiny bit.
Tamaki’s hand was so tight against his mate’s, he was surprised the Alpha didn’t pull from him. Instead, she let out a low purr, her other hand coming to rub his arm in slow movements of comfort. The Pro Hero closed his eyes for a moment, breathing deeply, focusing on the agreeable sensation of her purrs vibrating through him.
When he opened his eyelids again, he exhaled and smiled hesitantly, gathering all of his courage.
“I’ll come.” He affirmed, not as loudly as he would have liked, but he had put the words out there and that was the only thing that mattered.
He knew he would not regret his decision until the moment he would have to speak in front of these students; but the knowledge that his past self would have most probably missed this opportunity out of shyness cemented his decision. He was sincerely interested in this event, felt honored and timidly pleased to have been invited. He would be afraid, but he would not regret.
The student’s face broke into a relieved grin.
“Thank you so much!” She opened her bag and rummaged through it for a few seconds, before coming up with a pastel colored paper. “Here’s a flyer for you. I won’t bother you any more than that. I’ll see you then!”
She bowed slightly to them, fully intent on leaving them to enjoy their night. Still, as she was closing her bag and turning away, Tamaki caught sight of something shiny in her bag, and yelped out a ‘wait!’.
By now, his hand was crushing his mate’s, but he timidly looked up at the younger girl. When he spoke, his tried to keep nervous stutter at bay; in vain.
“I-if you n-need an internship, o-or an agency to work with for Hero studies... F-feel free to c-contact me.” He felt his mate purr just a little louder in surprise, and in the way she squeezed his arm quickly, he knew he had her approbation. “Also...”
His trembling free hand left the abused fabric of his costume to shakily point at the pin on her bag’s strap.
“D-do you have more?” His cheeks set ablaze, and he immediately looked down, hoping his hair might hide his flaming cheeks.
There was a moment of silence, before the Alpha chuckled and nosed his shoulder tenderly, breaking the student’s shock. The younger girl opened her bag again with colored cheeks as she bashfully explained she made them herself; eyeing carefully the Alpha to know if it was okay for her to give it to the Omega.
When the young woman nodded with peaceful eyes, the student was extending one to Tamaki, visibly flattered.
The Hero slowly released his mate’s hand, and gingerly took the little object in both his hands.
“Thank you.” He whispered, still too embarrassed to properly face the creative student.
After a few words of goodbye and promise of seeing each other at the awareness event in UA, to which Tamaki knew his mate wouldn’t mind going, he sighed in relief.
Without a word, the Alpha led him to a quieter part of the hall, letting him rest from the social exhaustion.
“I’m proud of you.” She whispered in his ear as she treaded her hands through his hair while she leaned to kiss his cheek softly.
Tamaki purred contentedly, taking deep inhales of her scent. He was proud of himself, too.
Her hands trailed down to his, and she seized the little pin. It was similar to that the girl wore, in different colors, less vibrant, more appeasing. It suited him.
“Help me put it on?” He quietly asked.
His Alpha’s nimble fingers hooked the pin to the fabric of his cape, just above his heart. The colors fit nicely with the rest of his hero costume; discreet but present.
“There.”
She leaned back; eyes squinted ever so slightly in admiration, a fond smile on her lips, and a tender purr in the air.
“You’re perfect.”

If he had known that you'd be here, Jin would have prepared himself a little more, because as much as he liked to pretend he was smooth as fuck, he really wasn't when it came down to people he admired, you being the one he loved the most these days.
He didn't like the typical models that were part of the fashion industry, they were too.. basic.
But you weren't. You had personality. And that's what everyone else seemed to be lacking, in his opinion.
“I'm really shocked to hear that you like me,” you smiled happily at him, “After all, you're worldwide handsome.”
“Ah, you know that,” he chuckled a little shyly, “Yeah it's.. a bit much.”
“It's not. I like it,” you grinned, “It really suits you.”
You ended up taking a few pictures together and only a few days later when you posted one of them on your social media page, everyone started to agree that you and him looked really good together.
And he had to agree the most, showing everyone the pictures with the sentence: “Don’t we look amazing together? Wow, our babies would be so beautiful!”

“You were spotted. Again,” Bang PD angrily shoved the iPad in Yoongi's face, “I told you to wear a face mask!”
“So what? I don't understand what the big deal is, I'm a huge fan of her, I like her concerts and her rap!”
“She's an underground rapper, Yoongi. She raps about sex, alcohol and god knows what! It’s not good for your image!”
“The rest of us started out like this too,” Yoongi was so tired of everyone telling him that he couldn't be a fan of yours because 'it wasn't fitting', “I like her. A lot.”
Bang PD stared at him for a long time, then he sat back down in his chair and quietly stated, not asked, but stated: “You've already slept with her.”
“I like her a lot,” Yoongi simply repeated.
Bang only sighed deeply, his head falling backwards as he closed his eyes for a moment.
There was no use with this guy.. he was too stubborn anyways.
“Just.. use protection, for god's sake,” he finally said.

“Show us your YouTube history,” Jin read out what was written on the letter in his hand.
Even though the producers prepared questions like that, they wouldn't actually put it in the Run episode if there was anything inappropriate said, Bangtan knew that, so they didn't have to worry about that.
Hoseok unlocked his phone, then opened his history and showing it to the camera with a proud grin, “I've been watching her dance videos a lot lately, she's suuuuper talented.”
And indeed, his entire YouTube history was filled with videos of you dancing.
“I'm always really inspired when I watch her dance, she motivates me to work harder, you know?”
“Maybe we should invite her for our next video,” Taehyung teased with wiggling eyebrows, all of them laughing at how Hoseok's ears began to redden.

Namjoon honestly thought his days of fangirling were over once he became famous himself, but no, they truly weren't.
He felt so giddy waiting in line with that book clutched against his chest, waiting for his turn so that you could sign the copy of your newest book that he loved so much.
Well, actually, he loved all of your writing, but this one was just so special to him. He must have read it at least five times already and whenever he had a quiet moment he liked to come back to it and read it once more.
“Ah, yes, they informed me a famous person would come today,” you chuckled when Namjoon was finally standing in front of you, “But they didn't tell me just how famous.”
“Don't start, you're just as famous as me,” he blushed and smiled.
“Mh, I think you're underestimating yourself there, sweetheart,” you licked your lips, then signed his copy.
“I'm.. such a big fan, seriously. I loved your last book, but this one is just.. mind blowing! The way you write the characters and portray emotions is just always giving me goosebumps, really!”
“Aw, thank you so much,” you closed the book and handed it back to him with an even bigger smile, “Maybe we can talk about it when we have more time!”
Namjoon didn't know what you meant then, because he had to leave as soon as he got the copy to continue on with his schedule for the day, but when he was back in the car and opened it, he smiled from ear to ear.
You had written down your phone number.
park jimin
Tumblr media
The question of 'who is your idol in life' was one that was usually answered with a famous person or a family member.
But for Jimin, it wasn't like that at all.
“I thought your bike got stolen, grandma?” Jimin had asked one day when he visited his grandmother and her bike was standing where it was always standing.
“Ah, right, I forgot to tell you. This really nice police lady helped me track it down. A wonderful young lady, so polite and beautiful. She stops by every other day with food to check up on me and the other old folk in this area.”
Jimin had been surprised by that, he had never heard of police officers doing that.
He was fortunate enough to meet you in person only a day after and ever since that day, he became your biggest fan. You caring so much for people and truly protecting them was something he admired so much.
kim taehyung
Tumblr media
Taehyung had wanted to attend one of your shows for years now, but whenever you came to Seoul it seemed like he was either too busy, or out of town for a concert himself to go and watch it.
But tonight he finally managed it.
The concert hall was filled to the brim, everyone being so quiet, mesmerized by the way you played that instrument.
And as Taehyung was watching you play it with so much grace and dignity, he couldn't help but smile to himself, the stress from the previous weeks slowly but surely washing away.
And when you were done and bowed, he could have sworn that your eyes met for a moment and that you smiled at him with just as much admiration as he smiled at you with.
jeon jeongguk
Tumblr media
“Since when did you become such a frequent Twitter user?” Namjoon asked with furrowed eyebrows, looking over Jeongguk's shoulders who furiously typed out a tweet.
What surprised Namjoon was how embarrassed Jeongguk looked and how he immediately pressed the phone against his chest like he was trying to hide something.
“Never. I don't use it,” he shook his head and looked at the leader with big eyes.
Taehyung took that moment of him not paying attention to steal it from his hands and then run around the couch to bring a bit of distance between the two.
He was laughing wholeheartedly at how he was teasing the maknae, but when he finally looked at the phone, he realized that he wasn't using their account, but a private one. And not just any account but a.. stan account.
“Does (Y/N) know you are the proud owner of 'theoneandonly(y/n)'?” he mocked.
“Stop this,” he finally managed to get a hold of the phone again and looked around the room, now all the members laughing, “She's getting a lot of hate these days, okay? I'm just trying to spread positivity.”
“Mhm, I'm sure that's it,” Jimin laughed happily and clapped on Jeongguk's back as he walked by, all of them knowing that it was more than just that.
