The Raven (1963) is a really weird movie. By the standards of the time it was a horror comedy but the “horror” is because they’re wizards casually throwing around potion ingredients, and the “comedy” is mainly just that Bedlow is drunk and rude and one time Craven bumps into a telescope. On the other hand it has Vincent Price acting his ass off, Peter Lorre clearly having a great time being annoying on purpose, Boris Karloff reveling his evilness, a properly evil villainess, everyone absolutely devouring the scenery, the least screen time and effort ever put into the obligatory “young attractive people fall in love” subplot, and why does the son look familiar oh hey that’s a young Jack Nicholson. They are all from totally different schools of acting and apparently irritated the hell out of each other on set, which made it into the film where most of the characters hate each other
