Jack: Yeah, he-he wasn't all bad, my dad. Uh, that's what makes our parents loom so large in our heads, I think. They're… a million things to us all at once.
And even after they're long gone, we're stuck with them. Can't help it. They're inside of us. You know, my whole life, I promised myself I'd be nothing like him, but…I ended up just like him.
Kevin: No, Dad. You're way better than him.
Jack: Thank you, my son. And you're gonna be way better than me.
— 5x07, This Is Us
#this is us watch#gonna rb this in a sec to say exactly this but. scenes that could've been dean and jack. scenes that ARE dean and jack. 2 me.#the father son relationships on this show are soo good and rich and they GET the complexity of the dynamic between fathers and sons#and it's the exact same complexity dean has for john. that ability to hold both love and hate for a parent#and neither feeling cancels the other out. they both just. co-exist#and that's what jack (this is us) is getting at here. that your parents can be a million things to you all at once#that you can love them for the good times and hate them for the bad and you'll carry them with you forever#you imagine them to be one way all your life then you grow up and realize oh. they were just a flawed person like anyone else.#or you become a parent and you worry you're becoming like them. and at the same time u realize how hard it is to be a parent#how easy it is to mess up without even trying#and you'll talk to your son about it. and you'll fear you're doing everything wrong#and your son will look at you and say 'no dad. you're way better than him'#and you'll hope that your son turns out to be an even better person#because you just want the best for your kids.#and just. this is a scene dean and jack could've had. another time they go fishing and john comes up#and dean tells him how bad it was sometimes. but how it wasn't all bad. because it wasn't.#and he'll worry he isn't doing things right with jack. and jack will look at him like he's his hero#because he is. because jack loves dean so much. loves the quality time they spend together. it's their love language#and he'll tell him 'no you're way better than your dad'#and dean will do the ol' face pat. like he's done before. like bobby used to do with him. and draw him in for a hug#anyways. i feel fine abt it.#fathers and sons !!!!!!!!!!!!

You hadn't spoken to your husband in more than three weeks. Not once since he left on a deployment of undetermined length. When you were on base, tucked away in your office or working on a project in the lab, it wasn't so bad. You could almost get lost in the idea of heading home to start dinner and find him working on a project. You could nearly pretend he'd be ready to wrap you up in his arms and ask about your day. But you knew better than to drift all the way into that daydream, because he wasn't there, and you didn't know when he would be back.
At least Tramp greeted you with excitement when you walked in each day, but you suspected that was partially because he knew you were about to feed him. Your friends kept you busy on the weekends, and Jake stopped by the Craftsman on occasion with Jeremiah when Cat needed a break. Today, he even made a comment about the multitude of pallets lined up on your driveway that prevented you from pulling all the way up to where you usually parked.
"When Rooster gets back, I'll give him a hand building that jungle gym," Jake drawled as you handed a cracker to Jeremiah. "We'll have it finished in a weekend, and then Jer can test it out."
You watched Jake kiss Cat's son on the cheek as you said, "He can teach the Nugget all about the slide and the swings when the time comes." Your belly felt a little tender as you ran your hand over your shirt, loving the feel of the bump beneath your fingers. You were nineteen weeks along, and when Bradley left, you'd still looked just bloated. Now you were starting to get round in all the places that made you excited for what was to come. And after so many weeks of non stop nausea and vomiting, you were happy you could finally eat.
Jake snorted. "You've taken to calling the baby a Nugget, too? Thought that was just your husband."
You rolled your eyes and flicked his arm. "Maybe I miss him, okay? Like a lot." Your voice shook even though you were trying for a teasing tone, and Jake's features softened. You quickly asked, "Are you two staying for dinner?"
Jeremiah was such a sweet toddler, and you were so lonely today, you were hoping Jake would say yes. But he kissed you on the cheek before he said, "Not tonight. I told Cat we'd be home by six."
You just nodded, once again afraid your voice might shake. You'd be fine; it wasn't like you needed someone with you all the time. It wasn't like you couldn't get through the night.
Once they were gone, you made yourself some dinner and ate it while you stood at the kitchen counter. Occasionally you dropped some bites for Tramp who snapped them up out of the air before anything ever hit the ground.
"Don't tell your dad that this is the reason you beg at the table," you muttered as he sat next to your foot and wagged his tail wildly. Even the veterinarian didn't know exactly how old he was, but he still seemed like a puppy sometimes. You could already picture him and the baby playing together.
Your gaze caught on the newest set of ultrasound photos which you had stacked up at the end of the kitchen counter. The appointment with Dr. Morris made you cry afterwards, because Bradley wasn't there to gush over the baby. You drove his Bronco that day, and you sat quietly trying to compose yourself while enveloped in his smell. He had some older ultrasound images tucked in the sun visor, and you wanted him to see the new ones so badly, you ached.
"I'm going to get ready for bed," you groaned at Tramp even though it was still early. You took a bath with the floating thermometer Bradley bought for you to use while pregnant. You drank a can of ginger ale instead of your preferred pink champagne, and you listened to one of the playlists he made for you.
When you were climbing in bed, you took the note he left you from your nightstand. It was folded into a paper airplane that looked exactly like his tattoo. He'd even written Baby Girl on it like always. Very carefully, you unfolded it and read the short message that you already had memorized, because it just meant something more in his handwriting.
I love both of you so much, sometimes I feel like I'm dreaming. Nothing could be this good. There's no way I get to return home to everything I ever wanted. I don't know when I'll be back, so I need you to take care of yourself and the Nugget until I can take over my duties again. I won't be gone a minute longer than I need to be.
You shut your light off before your tears could fall, and Tramp snuggled in next to you. When you thought about Bradley, you pictured him in his bunk. Maybe he was alone. Maybe he was with Reuben. Maybe he was rooming with a different officer. But it didn't matter, because you could easily imagine him practically spilling out of the narrow bed, one knee bent with the pink and blue notebook propped up while he wrote to the baby.
When your phone started ringing in the pitch darkness, you jumped, practically falling out of bed as you reached for your lamp and phone at the same time. It was a FaceTime call. It said restricted caller. You screeched his name, far too loud for your voice which has been resting just seconds ago. You shoved your glasses into place so you could see him, and shouted, "Bradley! Roo! Are you okay?"
"Hey, Baby Girl," he crooned, and his smiling face came into focus. You practically dropped your phone as he said, "I'm fine. Sorry it's so late."
You felt giddy laughter bubbling up inside you; the idea of your husband apologizing for calling and making your whole week was absurd. "No, no, no, this is perfect," you insisted. "This is great.
Bradley laughed and said, "I miss you so fucking much. Wish I was in bed right there with you."
"Me too," you replied. "It got chilly here tonight, and Tramp isn't as snuggly as you are." You missed his warmth and voice so much. It was almost Halloween, and the nights felt way too long.
His voice was just a whisper as he said, "Tell me about the Nugget."
Your smile felt overpowering. "Dr. Morris said the Nugget looked great when I was there two weeks ago."
"Two weeks ago," he groaned, rubbing his hands along his face. "Sweetheart... I already missed so much." When he looked at the screen again, you were out of bed and on the move. "Where are you going?"
You flipped on the hallway light and said, "To get the ultrasounds to show you. I left them on the kitchen counter."
You propped up your phone and held up one of the photos so he could see the baby. "There's my Nugget," he said, voice thick with emotion as you held up a second image. "Fucking cutest baby I've ever seen."
You couldn't help but laugh, feeling better than you had in weeks. "I liked this one the best. I think it looks like the baby is waving hello."
"Shit," he gasped. "You're right. I can't wait to wallpaper our bedroom with copies of these."
You pulled the ultrasound away and gasped, "You're probably not even joking."
"I'm definitely not even joking."
You leaned on the counter and got a little closer to your phone as you whispered, "Another week or so, and I can go in for an anatomy scan."
Now you felt guilty as he nodded with his lips pressed together. "You get to find out if the Nugget is a boy or a girl."
Tears stung your eyes. You could already imagine him holding the baby in his arms, loving him or her no matter what. "Yeah," you said with a nod. "But I don't really want to do that without you there too."
It took him a moment to respond. "I wish I could get home in time to hold your hand and find out in person. But you know I don't care one way or the other. The only nice thing is that we can start narrowing down baby names soon. I actually wrote down a few that I kind of like in the Nugget notebook earlier."
Your heart swelled. "I can't wait to read all of your notebook entries. And if you're not home for my next appointment, I'll be practically vibrating with anticipation until I get to tell you if it's a boy Nugget or a girl Nugget."
You wanted to show him how your belly looked more curvy now, but when you and he both parted your lips to speak, you heard someone shouting in the same room as him on the aircraft carrier. Now your husband wasn't looking at you at all.
"Bradshaw! It's time. Get into your flight suit."
"Yes, Sir," Bradley said before glancing back down.
"You have to go," you sobbed, unaware that you were actually crying until you heard yourself.
"I do," he said quickly. "Right now. Listen, I love you. More than anything. You and the baby both, okay? I love you."
"I love you, too," you sobbed as your lips trembled. "So much."
"I'll be home soon," he told you earnestly. "I love you."
Then you were standing alone in your kitchen at 4:48 in the morning with tears streaming down your face. The abrupt end to the call set your nerves on edge just seconds after you had been feeling so good. You gripped the edge of your kitchen counter; that wasn't a regular call to order, that was the start of his mission you just witnessed.
There was no chance of you falling asleep again, so you let yourself cry while Tramp put his head down on your bare foot and licked your ankle.
-------------------------------------
Halloween came, and you could barely manage to give out candy to the neighborhood kids. You'd had Bradley with you for the previous two Halloween nights in a row, and this year you didn't even want to buy a costume without him. You were exactly twenty weeks along, approximately halfway through your pregnancy, but it was hard to be excited even as groups of kids ran up and down the sidewalk.
You sat on your porch and dropped goodie bags into pillowcases and plastic pumpkins while Tramp barked inside the house. You commented on all of the cute costumes. You cried a little bit. Your emotions were all over the place as you tried to imagine what it might be like going out to collect candy a year from now with your baby in a tiny costume.
When the trick-or-treating ended, you went inside and opened a miniature sized Hershey bar for yourself, and then you almost screamed. The chocolate fell to the floor as you reached for your belly. Tramp looked between you and the fallen treat as you sank down onto your knees.
"Oh my God," you gasped, eyes squeezed shut tight. You could feel the baby moving. It was kind of a wild fluttering sensation. You rubbed your palm against your shirt a little more, and the slight movement felt like a response. Your baby was right there. "Hi, little Nugget." Then you felt something like a soft thump.
You wished more than anything that Bradley was here to witness it. He was going to absolutely freak out when he got home. Then the intrusive thoughts arrived. If he got home. It had been another week and a half since that FaceTime call where he got cut off by a commanding officer. If his mission was completed, he should have called you back by now. But at least you didn't have a fleet admiral dialing your number.
You didn't move for a long time, not until the baby seemed to get into a cozy position where the movement slowed down and then stopped. When Tramp started sniffing around the candy bar, you crawled over to it and picked it up before he could get any ideas.
Time was simultaneously at a standstill and also moving too fast. In four weeks, it would be Thanksgiving and your first wedding anniversary. You'd been holding off making plans with your parents, because you didn't know what to do. You were already overdue for your anatomy scan, dodging phone calls from Dr. Morris's office when they told you that you absolutely needed to come in for your checkup. They were starting to leave you lengthy messages about how they needed to complete the full scan to be sure there were no underlying issues.
As you walked to your bedroom, you promised yourself you'd call tomorrow and schedule an appointment. Bradley would miss finding out if the Nugget was a boy or girl, but at least you'd get to see all ten fingers and all ten toes for the first time. You could reveal the news to Bradley when you got to talk to him. You would go to your appointment, because he trusted you to take care of yourself and the baby the best that you could.
------------------------------
The cafeteria was packed when you walked in with your uniform shirt untucked and your pants unbuttoned. You finally caved and ordered a maternity uniform last week, and Bickel let you cry in his office about how ugly it was before he sent you back to the lab. It should be arriving any day, but for now, you were making do.
When Nat saw you, she was on her feet heading your way immediately. "Your belly looks bigger!" she gasped, pulling you toward the table where she was sitting with Bob and Maria. "When's Rooster coming home?"
You shrugged miserably. "You think I know? I just work here."
Her laughter made you smile for the first time all day. Your nausea was back a little bit, and you were too afraid to even try to eat anything until you got home later tonight. When Nat scooted her tray closer to the edge of the table to make room for you, she asked, "Where's your lunch?"
You didn't want to lie, but you really didn't want them to pressure you to eat right now. "I think I'll just take something back upstairs with me." As you slid onto the empty spot on the bench, you asked, "Do you know if anyone has heard from Payback?"
You were met with shaking heads which didn't help your mood at all. What the hell was going on with this mission? Your tongue felt too thick, and your saliva practically made you gag as Bob said, "I thought they would have been home by now. Five weeks is a long time for a special mission."
Maria elbowed him in the side, but it's not like he was saying anything you weren't already thinking. This sickening feeling had been inside you for days where you were convinced something went wrong. You just couldn't fathom why you hadn't received a call yet.
"I know," you muttered. "It's okay." But you weren't actually sure if it was or not. It has been months since you had a panic attack where you had to spend a few hours with Dr. Genevieve, but you could feel it building up now. Worrying about Bradley and yourself and the baby all at the same time was mentally and emotionally exhausting.
You pretended to pick up a sandwich before heading toward the elevators in the lobby, and you stopped to throw up in the bathroom before you made it back to your office. Your anatomy scan was scheduled for Friday, almost three weeks after they originally wanted you to come in. If you were still feeling this anxious, you'd block off part of your schedule next week to visit Dr. Genevieve again.
Somehow, even though the only thing on your mind was talking to Bradley, you were shocked when your phone woke you up just before midnight on Wednesday evening. This time you rocketed to your feet as you yanked your phone free from the charger. It wasn't a FaceTime call. It said RESTRICTED CALLER. You braced your hand on your nightstand in the dark, and when you answered, you knew immediately that it wasn't your husband on the other end of the call.
"Hello? I'm calling on behalf of Lieutenant Commander Bradley Bradshaw," came a male voice in response, and then he was asking you to confirm your personal information.
"What happened?" you gasped once he established that you really were the one and only person on Bradley's contact list. "What happened to him?"
There was a soft hum from the man, and you wanted to jump through the phone and strangle him for his lack of response. Then, as you finally managed to turn on your lamp, he said, "It looks like his flight just took off out of Hong Kong."
"Flight?" you gasped. "He's in the air?"
"Yes. A commercial flight into San Diego. He should arrive Friday morning, and I can give you the details now so someone can arrange for a ride for him."
You were baffled as to why Bradley didn't call you himself, but if he was on his way home, you didn't care. And you weren't going to arrange for a ride for him. You were going to pick him up yourself. When you grabbed a pen from your nightstand, the only paper you could find was the love note he left for you, so you started writing the flight number on your arm instead. Then you gasped and almost dropped the phone when you ended the call. There was the slightest chance he would be back in time!
---------------------------
Bradley was exhausted. He knew he could sleep for two days, no problem. He would land in San Diego and hope you were there to get him, then he'd ask you if the baby was a boy or a girl, then he'd take you home and make love to you before falling the fuck asleep. He really wanted to start building the jungle gym playset, but that was just going to have to wait for another day.
It was Friday, or at least that's what he thought, and he wasn't sure how busy you had been at work, because he hadn't spoken to you in weeks. Maybe Bickel let you take the morning off. If Bradley didn't get to see you in baggage claim like he always had before, he was going to be so annoyed that he was delayed weeks longer than he should have been. This mission turned into a three part nightmare on the high seas, and all he wanted was his wife and his Nugget.
When his flight landed, he was up and out of his seat, ready to go. Of course he ended up lifting down carryon bags for a few older passengers and one woman who had two kids with her. Of course he knelt down to help someone find their reading glasses. But all he wanted was for this line of people to move it off the aircraft so he could get into the terminal and call you.
When you answered on the second ring, shouting his name into the phone, he couldn't help but smile. "I just landed, Sweetheart. Does that mean you're here to get me?"
"Yes! I'm in baggage claim! Hurry up!"
His whole body thrummed with need as he picked up his pace at the confirmation that you were here for him. "I'm coming as fast as I can," he promised, squeezing between two groups of people walking way too slowly. He wanted to know if you took the day off. There were a hundred questions circling his brain, but the first one that he needed an answer to was, "How's my Nugget?"
He could hear the smile in your voice as you said, "Your little Nugget is thriving, Roo. But get over here and see for yourself!"
"Baby Girl," he laughed, jogging a little faster. "I'm coming."
"Hurry," you whined, and he needed to give you what you wanted.
He bypassed the crowded escalator and took the stairs as quickly as he could, skidding around a corner as he turned toward baggage claim. "Almost there," he panted into the phone. And then he saw you and groaned, "Fuck," loud enough that a few people shot him nasty looks. "Holy shit, Sweetheart."
Bradley ended the call as you glanced around, and he stumbled when you finally spotted him. You were wearing a new dress. It was a pretty shade of green, and it was snug, hugging all of your curves. Hugging your bump. You had a bump. You looked so obviously pregnant to him, he was ready to crawl on his hands and knees and beg at your feet.... for what, he wasn't sure. But that's what his brain was barking at him to do right now.
"Roo!" you called out, prancing toward him in that tight dress and your boat shoes, and literally nothing felt better than being with you. As soon as you were in his arms, he was home. "Bradley," you moaned against his lips as his hands found your sides. You felt different in the best possible way. The swell of your belly wasn't huge yet, but it was definitely there. He could feel it. His growing baby.
God, you were kissing him just right, fingers threading through his hair as you rubbed yourself against him. "Jesus," he groaned into your mouth, but you kissed it away as he ran his hands along as much of your middle as he could reach. He couldn't help it; when you eventually broke the kiss to take a breath, he dropped to his knees in front of you.
Your fingers were still in his hair as you looked down at him in surprise. "Roo?"
He was kissing along that green fabric and rubbing his nose against that perfect, little bump. He knew you were twenty-two weeks along, and he knew what that meant. "Please, tell me," he rasped, stroking you gently with his thumb. "Please, Sweetheart. Is it a girl or a boy?"
Your softly parted lips and smile had all of his focus as he waited to hear you tell him what he'd been dying to know. "Oh," you whispered, pushing your fingers through his hair, leaving him in anticipation as your fingertips glided down his cheek. "I don't know yet."
"You don't?" he asked, brow creased in concern. But you just kept smiling as his heart pounded. "You don't know?"
"Nope," you replied easily. "My appointment is in an hour."
Bradley rocketed to his feet. "Are you serious?" he whispered, his voice a little harsh. "I didn't miss it?"
You kissed him softly as he collected you back in his arms. "You didn't miss it, Roo. I postponed it as long as I could. You're just in time."
"Hell yes!" he whooped, pumping one fist in the air as you giggled. "You waited for Daddy," he said, smiling down at your belly as he slowly walked you backwards. "That's my Nugget." You were looking up at him with trusting eyes as he pushed you back against a pillar next to the baggage carousel. "You said we have an hour?"
"Yes."
"Good," he murmured before his lips found yours, and his hands continued their excited exploration of your new curves.

heyy for the clarisse head cannons, maybe a enemies to lovers w clarisse
enemies to lovers hcs with clarisse
Tumblr media Tumblr media
clarisse la rue x fem!reader
warnings: fighting, mild violence, kissing.
Tumblr media
- I feel like you would probably be in athena cabin or hermes, (or whichever ur prefer)
- clarisse has a lot of people who hate her, but no one brave enough to challenge he, until she met you.
- the two of you match eachother's skills, and it's frustrating for clarisse to admit that you're actually good.
- "you really think you're all that, don't you?"
- "of course not, we both know no ones better than you, clarisse."
- you probably meant it literally, but everyone watching laughs anyway.
- everytime you spar with her, its not because you want to humiliate her but simply because you're intrigued by clarisse.
she was an angry, violent girl, and you wondered deep down if that was the only side of her that existed.
- she doesn't know that ofc.
- she thinks everytime you try to be funny or nice to her, you're just being patronizing.
- for example, when you tell her she's not that bad or try to help her up after you win she's sure that you meant it in a mocking way.
- that was until she got beef with the new kid percy jackson and he broke her spear 💀
- when you found her alone in the ares cabin while everyone's eating dinner, you tried to comfort her. she doesn't appreciate the notion.
- "you shouldn't have went after him, clarisse." you told her.
- "how was I supposed to know he was a son of the big three?" she snapped back, refusing to look anywhere else but atnthe spear.
- the cabin was sileny for a moment before yoi spoke again, "maybe you could give it over to the haphaestus kids, they could fix it."
- "this is a magical spear, not a normal one." she answers back.
- she assumed you came to gloat, to tell her she deserved it, to call her a bully like everyone else did, but she was weirdly comforted by your presence instead. she didn't have to lie or pretend to be strong in front of you, something she learned of after a few months in of sparring with you is that you wouldn't hit someone during their weakest.
- "I remember the first gift my mom/dad gave me when I first got here. a knife, It meant so much to me, but I didn't know that it wasn't invincible, I broke it while trying to pull it out of a tree after I accidentally staked it into."
- clarisse was quiet for a moment before turning to you with a frown and said: "that's so stupid."
- you smiled at her and nodded your head. "yeah it was." she smiled back at you and shook her head. "I can't believe thats the same person who beat my ass last week."
- your eyes widened. "I can't believe you're actually admitting that I've beat your ass." she scoffed at that.
- "how did it end up in the tree anyways?" She asked. you blinked for a few times and reluctantly responded, "I tried to carve my name onto the tree." you could tell clarisse was so baffled by it that she wanted to laugh, but instead she just stared at you with her mouth wide open.
- "thats-" "stupid, yeah, you already said that."
- "carving your name on a tree? really? what, were you 10 years old or something?"
- you were 10. "I was 10 actually." "oh." her face relaxed, all of it finally making sense.
- "anyways, what I mean is, at least your spear went out in a fight. I'm sure your father must be really proud of you."
- clarisse looked away immediately, as if the idea of her father at all, hurted her.
- "you know nothing about my father."
- you shrugged and sat next to her on her bed. "I don't, but I know you. and I'd say you did pretty damn well.".
- you expected her to snap at you again, that was her thing, confronted by kindness or any kind of empathy, fight or flight. but instead she smiled sadly at you. "you think so?"
- you answered yes and inched closer to her. "everyone at camp is either scared of you, or they respect you. that respect didn't come out of nowhere."
- clarisse nodded her head, staring back down at the spear on her lap. "do you really think they can fix it?"
- "it's worth a try." you told her.
- the next time you see her was the following day after she and the other cabin leaders were gathered together for Percy to choose for his quest.
- you noticed she still tries ti act cold with you, but she was less meaner than before.
- "chiron gathered the best of the best to join the quest." she had told you when you asked her where she went.
- "and he asked you to be there?"
- "what, you don't think im good all of the sudden?" she asks, glaring at you.
- you rolled your eyes at her. "I know you're good, but I also know that you tried to kill Percy yesterday, not exactly team spirit is it?"
- she considered it for a moment and shrugged. "who cares, at least that punk will be gone for a while. everything can go back to normal." you follow her as she walked out of the cabin with a normal spear.
- "normal as in?"
- "normal as in, I'm going to kick your ass."
- the two of you sparred for an hour and a half, you wont say that you were holding back today, but you weren't exactly giving her your all. you liked to see the eay she smiled everytime she won, even if it was annoyingly smug.
- that same night, rumors were going around that clarisse was going soft. breaking her infamous spear, befriending her nemesis.
- "we're not friends," she told her cabin siblings. "It's not my fault she's obsessed with me."
- when word got out about what she said, you decided that maybe trying to get to know clarisse was a bad idea. not really being the confrontational kind of person, you just stopped talkiing to her.
- it was a few days later when she went out of her way to find you. all the cabins were in disarray. they were all choosing sides between zeus and poseidon after the news broke that the two powerful gods we're against eachother.
- uncharacteristically, clarisse aided with poseidon. she weighed her choices as cabin leader and daughter of ares and decided it was the best option
- (if you're a daughter of athena) then, you sided with zeus. athena is known to having feud with the god poseidon, and you would side your mother.
- (if you're in the other cabins), then you just use the feud as an excuse to not talk to her, claiming that all kinds of provocative interaction should be kept om a liminal time.
- clarisse found you in the bathroom and tried to get you to listen to her.
- "you're saying that this feud bothers you so much that you've just completely stopped talking to me?"
- "I think, that I'd like to stop being so obsessed with you, considering it was you who said that you wanted me out of your hair."
- she chased after you as you walked out of the bathroom and pulled you to the side.
- " I didn't mean it that way." she was lying and you both knew that.
- "you know what your problem is clarisse? you care so much of what other people think of you, what their perception of you is like. people who wouldn't blink twice if you were in danger. but what about the people who do care about you? the people who want to keep caring about you?"
- your words caught her off guard, she knew it was her fault but she didn't think as far as you had said.
- "I care about you too." she says honestly.
- "you don't hurt people you care about." and she knew that. she knew what it felt like to be scorned and hated by the person you love. and clarisse la rue, will not be like her father.
- "give me one chance to make it up to you, let us start over again." she pleaded.
- you might resent her for what she had done, but that doesn't mean you're immune to her wishes. "one chance."
- "one chance." she agreed.
- the next day, while everyone was out practising, she finda you helping a younger girl in your camp with her stance in fighting and called you to the side.
- "I got something for you." she said.
- the two of you walked a bit further away from other people but she stopped and pull out something from her pocket.
- "the haphaestus kids couldn't fix my spear, but I did get them to work out something new for you."
- it was a knife, similar to your old on2, but the engraved heart shape on the black holder was different. The holder was made if rubbee, easier to grip, and the tip was sharper than anything you've seen.
- "this is for me?" she nodded and placed it into your right palm.
- "it's not magical, but it'll be useful."
- you did not hesitate to pull her by the back of her head to lean down and meet your lips halfway.
- and she did not hesitate to wrap her own arms around your nwck and waist to kiss you back just as strongly.
- "I'm gonna get laughed at for this aren't I?" she muttered against your lips as she pulls away slightly.
- "not something you can't handle." you decided with a small smile on your lips.
- "right, definitely not something I can't handle." she agreed.

things aren't the way you planned coming home with your newborn, but you have eddie there to lean on when things get hard (and an unlimited supply of 'munson-style' hugs). requested here. infatuated dad!eddie x mom!reader, 3k.
cw post partum recovery, reader is suffering from some symptoms of post partum depression
˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗
"You're sure you can manage?" Wayne asks, his voice buzzing down the line.
Eddie peers out of the kitchen into the living room quietly. You're sitting on the sofa in a shape that can't be comfortable considering your recent stitches, the baby on your thighs where you've brought them together, your hands delicately posed on either side of his head.
"I think so," Eddie says, answering Wayne's questions with honesty. "She's feeling a little better today."
"It's hard, Eds. You take care of her and call me if you need help, okay? I'm proud of you. Both of you."
It catches Eddie off guard for a moment. He's done enough crying lately, clearing his throat to say, "Thanks, Wayne. Call me tomorrow."
"You call me, I don't wanna wake anyone if you're sleeping."
They say their goodbyes. Eddie leans against the kitchen doorway to spy on you and the baby. Babies cry more than he ever could've imagined despite the warnings, but it's quiet, too. There are moments of peacefulness like this one breaking apart the chaos.
You're whispering something. Eddie stands very still, wishing the dishwasher would magically silence itself. He strains to hear you.
"I love you," you say. "Sorry I'm tired, honey. I promise I'll be better. You're so beautiful."
Eddie bites his cheeks, wondering if his family (his family!) aim to make him cry and little else tonight. He gives himself a look in the mirror magnet on the fridge framed by a We Love Michigan border, rainbows and cute elk surrounding something less pretty. His hair is frizzy but that's nothing new, greasy at the top and dry at the bottom. He scrapes it back into a scrappy bun and wipes the oil from his face with his sleeves. He's in dire need of a shower.
Resigned, he steps out of the kitchen, new socks slippery on old linoleum before finding stability on the crush of carpet in need of a vacuuming in the living room. You look up and bless him with a smile.
You've had a bad case of the baby blues, though the midwife assured him that was normal, and not to worry unless it continued past the first few weeks.
Well, Eddie will worry. Any depression you experience breaks his heart, no matter the cause, and no matter how temporary it may be. Just 'cos a cut might heal doesn't mean it didn't hurt when you got it.
"How do you feel?" he asks cautiously.
You make a face that he knows precedes a lie. "Don't worry about me."
He sits on the arm to look down at the baby —his baby, his son— in your hold, your face moving immediately to rest on his thigh.
"I'm okay, teddy," you say.
"How about you?" he asks the baby, taking his hand gently.
The baby doesn't open his eyes nor answer the question, well and truly asleep.
"Do you think Charlie was the right name?" you ask, stroking his small face lightly.
"If we hate it, we can just call him Wayne."
Eddie's out of this world lucky that you'd liked the name and loved him enough to name the baby after his uncle. Charlie Wayne Munson, born six pounds and two ounces, the smallest baby they saw all week in Hawkins General.
"He looks more like a Wayne than a Charlie," you say, rubbing your cheek into Eddie's sweatpants.
"He's so fucking beautiful," Eddie says, getting his hand behind your shoulders. He gives your back a loving rub, up and down the whole stiff length of it. "Would you relax? Or tell me what's wrong? Please?"
"Nothing's wrong… Look how perfect he is, I'd be a freak to act like something was wrong," you say, the exhale of your words warming his leg.
Eddie rubs his hand up with a tad more roughness until the cinch between your shoulders has flattened.
"You're having a biological reaction," Eddie says, leaning down to press his lips to the top of your head. "Don't feel bad about feeling bad, sweetheart. This is a physical thing, that's all it is. You're not a freak for feeling wobbly."
You relax even more, pad of your thumb swiping Charlie's smooth cheek.
"Want me to make you feel better?" he asks.
"How?"
"I'm not sure yet. I was thinking we'd make a list. Starting with a hug, quickly followed by something amazing to eat before Wayne wakes up."
"Charlie," you correct with a small laugh.
"Is there a nickname for Charlie?" Eddie asks. "What are we gonna call him? Lee?"
"We'll think of something," you promise.
Eddie isn't worried about it. He figures there's at least five years of nickname time to get one that sticks. For now, he has a list to make and things to do, and the first is making sure you're as well as you can be. He starts with the hug, pulling what you want for dinner from you one soft kiss to your temple at a time. Chicken pot pie? Ramen noodles with a fried egg on top? Sesame chicken? Triple cheeseburgers?
You can't decide. Eddie chooses breakfast for dinner. It won't take long —he can fry the sausage, eggs, turkey bacon and toast in one pan.
He keeps the door open to watch you, though nothing is actively wrong. You're deflated now rather than tense, petting and fawning over the baby as much as you can without waking him up.
"Just as handsome as your dad," you say.
It's a lovely sentiment but Charlie does not approve. He blinks awake, signified by your saccharine, "Hi, baby boy," followed by ten seconds of awe-filled cooing. Eddie's frying some bread in the pan but dinner can wait, he wants to see the baby with his eyes open again.
By the time Eddie reaches the couch, he's crying.
You move him carefully into a rock-a-bye hold and shush him. "It's alright," you say.
"He sounds like you."
"What?" you ask between shushes, hand tapping a slow and gentle rhythm into Charlie's swaddle.
"He sounds like you when he cries," Eddie insists.
Not your pained screams a few days ago nor your heart wrenching tears when you're feeling at your worst, but your hormonal sobbing. Like when you saw the commercial about the new 'shoplifters exposed' program on CBS that featured an old lady who stole a tangerine from the grocery store and got arrested despite her having alzheimers. She didn't mean to, Eddie, why would they make her cry like that? In fairness, it was a very upsetting commercial, but you cried for four hours, and for days afterward your eyes would well with tears and he'd know exactly what you were thinking of.
"When you're on your period," he explains. "When you know you wouldn't usually cry."
"You think so?" you ask.
"I think the solution is the same, too."
You nod your agreement. "He's hungry."
You and Eddie feed the baby with varying levels of success. Charlie doesn't wanna latch even though it's a bottle teat, causing some confusion —is he not hungry? Is he cold? No, sweetheart, he's not cold, he's got two blankets and the thermostat's at 68 Fahrenheit. Maybe he needs a new diaper? You check. His diaper's clean.
You're looking more and more defeated by the second. Eddie sits beside you to give your knee a reassuring squeeze. Babies are hard to look after, but he knows you'll both grow into it. You're exhausted from nine long months and a turbulent half day stint of pushing and crying and turning the bones in his hands into powder, your hormones are going crazy, and you're having a tough time. This won't be your forever feeling (though if it were to last, Eddie would stay at your side through that, too, that's not a question).
"You know what else works when you're not feeling good?" Eddie asks, offering his arms. He isn't some muscled herculean shape, but when you hand Charlie over, his arms look strong. Capable. Holding Charlie feels just as perfect as holding you. "A Munson-style cuddle," he finishes, trying to speak to his wailing son in that same bubbly parentese you've started talking in.
Eddie did a lot of talking to your bump while you were pregnant, but he was usually just trying to make you laugh. There were times where he'd lay with his nose against your hip and his arm under the bump, wondering about moments like this. What was the baby going to look like? What colour would his eyes be? What will it feel like to hold the baby in his arms?
Charlie feels lighter than Eddie first prophesied. Small. He has eyes like yours rather than eyes like his and he couldn't love it more.
Eddie takes the bottle when you offer it and sandwiches the baby to his chest. He doesn't want to condescend you, doesn't want to shoo you off, but Charlie's crying around the bottle and you look veritably miserably.
"Do you wanna go and make sure the food isn't on the turn?" he asks. When he realised the baby wasn't going to go down easy again he put your plates on a baking sheet and put the oven on low to keep it warm.
You hesitate. "Are you okay?"
"I don't know. I think so, sweetheart. We're barely a room away, alright?"
He's called you sweetheart more since the birth of your son than ever before, which is insane; Eddie's called you sweetheart likely twice a day since the day you met. That's a whole lot of sweethearts.
With the baby's changing mood comes a change in the weather. Eddie pats his little back, a quiet thump thump thump, while rain lashes the closed windows. The baby finally decides he's hungry, and the mood turns from frenetic to ambient almost immediately.
"You make sure you eat if you're hungry!" Eddie calls to you.
"Are you sure?"
"I think…" He drifts off, distracted by Charlie's long eyelashes, the way they skim under his eyes and the tiny noises he makes as he suckles. "Aw, baby," he murmurs, "good job. I knew you were hungry. You sounded just like your mom." He can't help grinning. Eddie is really talking to his kid right now, his real life baby. "You made her super emotional, but you're her whole world now. You're mine, too, obviously, but I'm cooler than this." He sighs. "No. I'm not. This is the coolest thing ever."
"What do you think?" you ask softly.
Eddie looks up. You're standing at the door, staring at them like they're made of sparkling diamond, every inch precious.
"Right. I think that we're gonna have to start eating when we can. Wayne never had a baby, but he said I was bad enough as a teenager, and Steve said he's lucky if he gets to eat a hot meal some days."
"Steve does have three," you say, frowning. "We really can't eat together anymore?"
You ask like you're less bothered than you are. Like a gimmicky Oh, man. Eddie knows it hides a real worry, and right now he's trying to give you the world on a silver platter, so he dots a little kiss on Charlie's head and says warmly into his skin, "No, that's not true. You're going to be such a good kid, me and mom will be eating together all the time. Isn't that right?"
Eddie looks at you with his head still tilted down. "I wanna eat together, okay? Everything's changing, but dinner doesn't have to. I just wanted you to eat 'cos you left half of your waffles at breakfast."
"I can wait."
"Then let's wait. You wanna come and hold him?"
"No, he's settled. I don't wanna mess it up again."
"You didn't," Eddie says, firm and sweet at once. "Sweetheart, come here. You didn't mess up, okay? I'm serious, come and sit with me."
You hesitate in the way. You're still unsteady on your feet despite the few days you've had to recuperate. Though your hair is cleaner than his it certainly isn't clean, nor are the clothes you've pulled on. Eddie read up and asked around on what would be comfiest for you, debating nightgowns and silk pyjamas at length, but all you've wanted to wear is a hoodie you've had since you were a teenager and a pair of sweatpants with fraying cuffs. He loves it —you look like an adorable dork.
Your stomach visibly churns. Eddie thinks you might chuck up, is already pulling the baby to his chest to place in the bassinet when you take a short, quiet gasp for air.
"Sorry, I don't know why I feel so on and off. I know it's just hormones. I promise I feel happy– I feel happy–" You gesture an open palm toward him. "He's gorgeous, Eds, he's everything I wanted and so much more, I just– I just feel like crying and I don't know why," you confess, blinking to suppress tears, shifting your weight uncomfortably from foot to foot.
Eddie detests seeing you this uneasy, and he swoops in to correct it.
"Come here," he says again, no hands free to hold out to you. He hopes his voice is inviting enough.
You shrink into yourself. "I'm being weird."
"I like when you're weird. I kind of love it. I don't think we'd be in the mess if I didn't love it."
"It's a mess?" you ask.
"It's perfect."
You finally smile, creeping around the bassinet and the needlessly baby proofed coffee table to sit on the edge of the couch with him. Charlie makes a sound in the back of his throat.
"Hear that? He knows you're here," Eddie murmurs, making room for you hopefully.
You sidle up to his thigh and lean on his arm, careful not to knock his elbow. You watch Charlie drink his bottle for as long as there's milk left, two ounces knocked back like it's nothing.
Eddie eases the teat from Charlie's lips carefully. With care but a clumsy imprecise manoeuvre, he lays Charlie down in the bassinet. He has a lot of hair for such a small baby, enough to stroke back from his forehead, soft under Eddie's fingertips.
"He's really, really beautiful," Eddie says quietly.
"I know," you say, an anxious hand on your cheek. "I can't believe something as good as him could come from someone like me."
Eddie stands between your legs, resting a loving hand at the slope of your shoulder. "Why would you ever think something like that?" he asks, his voice as soft as it's ever been, but with a smile in case you don't want to talk about it any more.
"He's… I'm just not…"
Eddie gives you time. You've needed it ever since you went into labour, time to piece things together.
"I really thought I was ready," you say, looking up at him with a pinch between your eyebrows.
He brings his hand up to cup your face. You don't lean into it. "Alright, I'm going to talk for a little while, 'n' I know you won't agree with everything I'm saying but I need you to know that this is how I really feel, yeah? Buckle up." Eddie bends down, unafraid of embarrassing himself because it's you. "I know you think these feelings are your fault… that this is some failing, like you're–" He drops his voice to a whisper, "Like you're being a bad mom already, but it's not the truth."
You startle at being read so easily. "Eds," you mumble.
"We knew this might be how you felt afterward, the midwife talked and talked about baby blues and you said–"
"I said I couldn't understand how I'd ever feel sad once he was born," you say, looking at his neck rather than his face.
"And that's fine, you know? You're not a bad person for thinking it would be perfect and then changing your mind."
"But he is perfect," you say.
Eddie rubs your cheek. "He's perfect, but this is hard. Being a new mom with your stitches and your aching tummy and all the gross fluids–"
You laugh through a groan, pressing your eye into his hand.
He leaps to keep it going. "This isn't how you expected to feel, but that's okay. There's nothing to be ashamed of. Cry if you feel like crying and don't feel fucking guilty about it, this sucks. You had to do the world's most tumultuous campaign for the last nine months and suddenly you're standing at the start of a new one that takes up, like, a gazillion pages with half health and an equally useless companion."
Your lips press into a thin line, but your eyes are soft and bright despite their obvious fatigue. You bracelet his wrist with your fingers and push his hand further into your cheek.
"My dork," you murmur.
"You understand it, don't you? Makes you an even bigger dork."
You nudge your nose into his palm. "I understand. Thank you, honey."
Eddie's not done. "You said you don't know how something good like him could come from someone like you? I don't think bad was a possibility."
Your second thank you is better. The first wasn't inauthentic, but this one sounds as though you genuinely believe him. Eddie bows down into a crouch to wrap his arms around you, the majority of his weight on your shoulders and avoiding your sore lower region, and the entirety of his love pressed to your cheek, a long, mindless kiss.
"I love you," you say.
Eddie tucks his head against yours, ignoring his protesting knees. "I love you, too."
Your food turns to dry mulch by the time you remember it in the oven. You're too distracted by Eddie's hug, his offering for a shoulder massage, and the subsequent second hug that ensues, your back to his chest, dozing in the sanctuary of his arms. Munson-style cuddles are his expertise.

Thinking about Takuma Ino, who becomes a father so young when you fall unexpectedly pregnant. Thinking about the fear in your eyes, the shaking hands going to hold each other's, the positive test clasped between them. The way Takuma reassures you; "it's okay, it's okay, I always wanted to be a dad...sure, not this soon-- but we'll be fine. Better than fine, we'll be great."
The way Takuma goes for a walk that night, after you've cried yourself to sleep, crouching down in an alleyway with his beanie'd head in his hands, wondering how he could possibly ever be a good father. Wanting to marry you, to do things 'right', but afraid you'd think he only wanted to marry you because of the pregnancy.
The way Takuma arrives on his mother's doorstep (the mother who raised him alone, young, single) in the dead of night, pale-faced. The way his mother holds him as he cries and apologises at the dining room table, his face in her robed chest. The way she cups his face, and stares into his eyes; "we can do this, together, the right way. You're a good boy. Now be a good man."
The way Takuma learns to be a father, from his mother, who was his whole world. The way Takuma works himself to the bone, squirrelling money away, booking in with estate agents to go and view your first home together in a way that makes your hormonal heart clench.
The way Takuma's head hits the pillow, weary after working all night, then comes straight up again as he hears you vomiting in the bathroom, kneeling behind you to stroke your hair back, holding you gently round the waist on the tiled floor; "attagirl...it'll be better soon, right? Toughest girl I know. Doin' such a great job."
The way Takuma takes up embroidery, buying cheap plain clothes for the baby, because he can't afford much, but adding small artistic touches of beauty; a frog with a toadstool hat, a little trailing succulent vine, a shooting star.
The way Takuma is bright and excited; there for every scan, every class, every milestone. The way Takuma puts on a brave face. The way Takuma hides in the staffroom at work, his head in his hands, creaking under the weight of responsibility. The way he feels a strong hand clasp his shoulder, a beige suit, a blue shirt, a leopard print tie at the corner of his eye; "I know you're going to say no...but I'd like to buy a gift. For both of you. For the baby."
The way Takuma feels so ashamed for accepting help; the way a crib, a beautiful buggy, a snug and safe car seat, all gradually arrive at your new home. The way he tries to insist on paying Nanami Kento back. Nanami naturally refuses, pretends to be inordinately interested in his newspaper.
The way Takuma can't help but buy the baby a few beanies. The way you retaliate by buying an outfit that looks just like Ino's. He is thrilled.
The way Takuma's embroidery has advanced so well, he makes four little Auspicious Beasts to hang from a mobile above the crib.
The way Takuma paints beautiful, geometric, zany black and white shapes on the wall in the baby's bedroom; "They only see black, white and red at first babe. Neat, right?"
The way Takuma is pale throughout your labour, his eyes feverish, your pain so much harder than any battle he's ever been to. The way his tears hit him in a huge whooshing breath, a head-holding groan of relief when his baby son is placed on your chest, wet and crying, a little angry clenched face. The way Takuma rests his cheek on his arm at the top of your bed, gazing down and sniffling as his son holds his finger.
The way Takuma takes you both home, proud, woefully in love, still wondering how he's ever going to grow up and be a man, without realising he's already so much more of a man than so many others in this world.
Thinking about young dad Takuma Ino.

ALL ABOUT THAT NOSE - DANIEL RICCIARDO
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
PAIRING: dad!daniel ricciardo x fem!mum!reader
WORDS: 1,9k+
GENRE: fluff
WARNINGS: baby's crying, max and lando being silly boys
Tumblr media
Daniel Ricciardo was like a good wine - if he was getting older, he was looking better.
That was something that Y/N L/N knew too well. She had known Daniel since she was 16 years old.
The woman remembered too well the moment when they met. It was summer break before girl's second class in high school when the L/N family was in Perth to meet the wealthy aunt.
“Oh my, I'm so sorry” the young girl gasped, when she collided with a taller boy. She didn't know what to do. She didn't know if she was going to cry or she was just going to throw up, because she had gotten into a fight with her father, then ran away from aunt's house without phone and got lost in Perth.
“It's okay, no need to worry" was said in a cheerful voice. “I'm Daniel, by the way” a black haired boy said with a large smile on his face.
“My name is Y/N” “Then, it's a pleasure to meet you, Y/N” he spoke, making L/N cry. “Why? What? No crying! Stop crying, please!” Daniel started calming her down due to the fact he had no idea what to do. “There's no need to cry, Y/N” he told her slowly but she started to cry even worse. “What happened?” he asked finally, after getting her to sit on a bench.
“I got lost,” she answered with a tiny voice. Daniel felt sorry for the girl.
“You're not from here, are you?” the boy questioned while getting a seat next to her. “No, I'm from Canberra actually” she said, making Ricciardo raise his eyebrow.
“From Canberra? Are you related to Mrs. Elodie Fanning?”
“Um, yes. She's my aunt” she told him, trying to wipe her tears.
“Great then! I live in a house next to her! I'll walk you there, Y/N” he announced, getting up from the bench.
“Thank you” she said and the boy only smiled at her. Next he trip over shoe laces and almost fell down.
“Ow, sorry, miss Y/N” he laughed and walked her home.
And after that day, they stayed in touch. For the rest of their lives.
Y/N was his biggest fan and supporter. She supported him in his rights and wrongs.
Daniel was also her biggest supporter and fan. He was for her every time, when she got a new role in some film or theatre play, same as her - she was trying her best to be at his every race or just watch them on TV.
It was pretty hard for her, because she wasn't so wealthy, her parents neither, but when aunt Eloide heard about her relationship with Ricciardo, she gave her some money for travelling.
And they were here, in the car on their way to the hospital.
“I know you can stand it for just a moment, love,” the man said, looking at his wife, who was holding her belly, where was the cause of her pain.
“Daniel, faster, because I'm about to give birth to him in this car, for fucks sake” she said and Ricciardo only pressed the gas pedal even harder. this car.
“We're here, little frog” he announced after two minutes, and quickly got out of his newest Ferrari.
“Don't call me like that!” she screamed.
He helped his beautiful woman get out of the car, and then walked her to the reception, where the nurses gave her a wheelchair and took her to the operating room, leaving Daniel alone.
“First kid?” asked one of the nurses, while the one was helping Y/N to breathe. “Yes, my husband is freaking out,” the woman answered. “He says all the time that Otto must have had my nose, because mine looks better than his. I'm hoping that it will be true either”
The nurses laughed, and then Y/N felt another cramp. They started to appear an hour ago, and then they were systematic, appearing every two minutes.
After ten hours of painful labour, Daniel could finally meet with his exhausted wife and sleepy son.
“You did so amazing, baby,” he said to the woman, before kissing her forehead. “I couldn't be more proud of you my love” Daniel added, watching her feeding the newborn baby.
“Thanks, Dan. He's like two hours old and yet he has your Ric Energy” she said with a tiny voice, making the man laugh.
“He's a Ricciardo, isn't he?”
“He is, definitely”
Tumblr media
“He's such a beautiful boy,” said Anna, Y/N's mother, looking at her smiling grandson.
“He's my son, of course he's beautiful,” Daniel joked, making everyone in the living room laugh.
“It's mostly because he has got my nose, not his” was said by the actress, which made Ricciardo roll his brown eyes. “Don't even do that again, Daniel. It was you who wanted him to have my nose” she added and then took a seat on her husband's lap.
Tumblr media
First time when Y/N and Daniel had shown up at the paddock was totally different than all the previous times, even if the woman had shown there with a pregnant belly.
“Where's the kid?” was said by Lando and Max and it was the first thing that the couple heard, when they entered the Red Bull's hospitality.
“At home, he's four weeks old, what did you expect?” Daniel asked with raised eyebrows.
“We wanted to meet him! Everyone wanted it!” Max answered, making the couple laugh. “It's not our fault, that you don't want anyone in your house since he was born”
“And that's why none of you is his godfather” Ricciardo said, making his friends go away.
“Don't talk to us ever again!” was screamed by Lando, which made Y/N laugh. “It's about you too, Y/N!” Max added.
“I love them,” the woman started, when they took seats on the couch in Daniel's room. “but they are more like our kids. I wouldn't let none of them to be Otto's godfather” “Me either, love”
“So who is the godfather?” Verstappen asked, while his and Norris' heads were sticking out of the door.
“Timothée” Dan said shortly and after that both drivers entered the room. “What?!” Lando and Max were shocked.
“What what? He's a nice guy after all, not like you two” Dan joked. He was laughing at his friends. They were cute actually.
“What about godmother? Who is she?”
“Oh, we don't know yet” Mrs. Ricciardo said, shrugging. “We'll tell you both, when we find an ideal person, don't worry” she announced and sent them kisses, which also did Daniel. “Now bye bye, you both are needed. Bye!” Ricciardo led them out the door and again sat near to his wife. In next three hours he gave an interview, that melted everyone's heart.
“Thank you, Y/N, for these amazing fifteen years that you spent with me. Thank you for your support and that you had never despaired in me. And then thank you for our son, who you just gave birth to a month ago, I couldn't be more proud of anyone in this world than you. I also wanted to thank you for saying yes to me twelve years ago. I loved you then, I love you right now, and I will love until my death. Thank you for everything” Daniel ended his monologue and started looking for his beloved wife, who was crying because of his words.
“I love you endlessly, Dan,” she whispered, when they hugged. “And I love you, dolly” he replied with his biggest and prettiest smile on face. “You're crying again” he laughed, starting wiping the tears. “Just like on the first day, right?” she joked. “Yep, just like then” he said, kissing her nose after. “I want to see all of these photos that they took. We should have one of them at home” the woman said quietly to his ear, making his smile even bigger. “Yes, we definitely should”

First time the Ricciardo family showed up at the paddock was during the Austin Grand Prix. Of course Daniel was dressed as a cowboy. He just loved that GP.
Even though he wasn't participating that year.
Otto was looking everywhere from his stroller. He was looking at his papa, who was wearing a big, unknown hat and smiling.
Little guy was only three months old and was not ready yet to see his father dressed like that, so he started to cry.
“No, no, no, sweetie, no crying” Y/N started, pulling her son from the stroller. She hugged him and told her husband to take off his cowboy hat. “You will dress as a cowboy for Halloween instead” she announced cradling the baby in her arms.
Otto finally stopped crying, when all of them went to Daniel's room and Y/N fed him.
“We will stay here, okay Dan?” she asked, looking at the man, who was singing his son lullaby, so he could fall asleep easier. “Everything for him” he whispered, putting the sleeping boy to his stroller. “Give me a kiss” he said walking to his wife. She stood up and when he was In Front of her, she placed a kiss on his lips. “I'm so lucky that I have you. If I didn't meet you, I wouldn't be me” he announced holding her in a thigh hug.
“I'm hearing Lando's coming” she said after a while, hearing Brit's footsteps. And yeah, she was so right, because like thirty seconds later a curly haired guy entered the room. He had rosy cheeks and a huge smile on his face.
“There's my favourite boy! And his parents” he said and hugged Y/N. “It's amazing to see you. You look so good and healthy, oh my!” Lando announced, making the woman blush because of the hormones. “And you look the same as last week” he said to Daniel, who only rolled his eyes.
He finally stepped in front of the boy and started to cry.
“He- Oh- He's so pretty” Lando said with his shaky voice and tears on his face. “I can't believe that Daniel is one of the creators of this miracle,” Norris said. “The little one is too perfect”
“Oh, Landon, don't cry” Y/N hugged the younger one and rubbed his back. “We know that he is the prettiest baby on the globe, we do. It's because he has my nose, not Daniel's”
“Hey!” Ricciardo delicately slapped his wife's back.
It was always about the nose.

Hey, so I saw that your request were open and I was thinking if you could something for the our boy series, bcs I just love dad Lando so much. Ok, so we know that Caleb's second name is max, could u write something about that, like Max's finding out and how he reacts, or just a cute moment between the Norris family and the grid.
A/N: Okay, I knew you meant Mini Lando Series because you said the right people for that series, but yes I would love to expand on how Max reacted to finding out that Lando named his second born after him
Mini Lando Series
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the beginning you didn't tell anyone you gave birth, just wanting Aiden and the two of you to settle into a new routine. Caleb was a relatively easy baby, never really fussed and slept most of the time.
He was the perfect baby, but you knew not everyone was the same. When you started to tell people, yours and Lando's family came to visit first, after that you allowed the drivers to start visiting.
Carlos, Charles, Pierre, and Lewis all came to visit first. Carlos of course, helping the two of you with Aiden, his godson. Charles and Pierre bringing way to many gifts, and Lewis with far to many Mercedes gear for your children, something Lando promised to burn.
Yet he couldn't when Aiden became attached to a bright neon bucket hat. Lando swears he thinks, it's because Aiden believes it's one of his own bucket hats not Lewis's.
He can keep thinking that.
The one Lando was nervous about visiting is Max. He wasn't sure how the Dutch driver would react to him naming his son after him. How was he to tell Max, he did it because he always believed in him. That he was a friend, a brother to him.
Carlos rolled his eyes at the name, saying Aiden's was far much better. You didn't know which toddler was yours, Carlos or Aiden.
So when the doorbell rang, Lando bolted to the door. Opening it he sees Kelly, Penelope, and Max all with gifts for you and the baby. Kelly comes to you first, checking on you while Aiden and Penelope run off to play.
Max and Lando follow slowly behind, making small talk about the upcoming season. Lando hearing soft crying, goes to get Caleb. Max joins you and Kelly on the couch, asking you how you felt, if you ever needed Aiden to stay with them, he's more than welcome.
Walking into the room, Kelly beams seeing the tiny human in Lando's arms. It still freaks Max out that this kid, someone he watched grow up, is married with kids. Freaked him out.
Lando hands Caleb over to Kelly who just sways back and forth. Max watches, thinking the little stinker was adorable, but totally took after you. Kelly hands Caleb to Max, whose large hands engulf Caleb's little body.
He admires the little boy, but his eyes settle onto the initials on Caleb's little onesie. C.M.N
"What's his full name?" Max asks, Lando looking like a deer caught in headlights, you smile trying to muffle the laughter bubbling in your chest behind your hand. "What? Is it bad name? Lando, you can't name your kids with bad names, they'll get bullied." Max sighs, thinking it's after some video game or worse a car.
"Maxemilian." Max makes a face, looking up at Lando who takes a deep breath. "Caleb Maxemilian Norris. That's his full name." Kelly gasps, catching it instantly but Max remains oblivious.
"Maxemilian? Lando, that's a stupid name." He grumbles, looking down at the baby currently holding his finger. "That's your name, you dumbass." Kelly gently smacks Max's shoulder.
"That's not my name, my name is Max Emili- OH!" The lightbulb going off in his head leaving you and Kelly in a fit of giggles, but Lando shuffles around, Max left in a state of shock.
"You named him after me?" The question soft, the most vulnerable look every on Max's face, a mix of love and shock. "Well, yeah." Lando groans. "You've....you've always believed in me, cheered me on, supported me through everything. Hell you and Carlos even helped me buy Y/n's engagement ring. Why wouldn't I? You're family." Max hands Caleb off to you, the little boy cuddling into you, knowing it's you.
"Are you going to hit me? Just not the face." Lando squeaks, closing his eyes tight, instead Max wraps his arms around Lando. His muscles relax, hugging the Dutch driver back, the two of them saying nothing.
"If you cry, we need picture proof." You tease the men pulling apart, Max wiping his eyes quick so you don't notice. "Thank you, just...thank you." Max smiles clapping Lando on the back.

dedicated for @starrbright for bringing up and thirsting with me dilf tsukishima.
cw: dilf tsukishima, fingering, teasing, edging.
meeting dilf tsukishima is the least thing you expected but anticipated since you were partnered with his son. deciding that it was better to finish the project at the comfort of his house since he lives in there and the university's not that far from where he lives, saving time for work. there's no underlying conditions for it with the exception that he lives with his dad.
dilf tsukishima who's closer to his fifties. no signs of a receding hairline and keeping his blond hair a little longer. definitely taller than anyone you've meet and his lanky figure being the same as he was in high school. definitely mature as you can in his features and those golden-brown of his behind his glasses. a frown visible in his face while he stares at you two. standing in his doorway. faking a cough to hide the not-so subtle of checking and comparing him to his son, who is your partner. quickly muttering a greeting as a form of politeness.
dilf tsukishima who isn't so amused in his son bringing a girl, his so-called partner but he's fine with it. educational purposes it is. he thinks but his eyes linger than you for a little longer wondering why his son's lucky for being partnered with you.
dilf tsukishima who's been so single for so long. having finalized that divorce with his bland ex-wife who had been nothing but scorn him for his doings. he also find dating to be boring. women with no interest but to themselves and blabber about their life. deciding he was better off at being single and focusing at his job. when you, his son's partner showed up at his door — looking so bright and beautiful with your flabby arms squished together holding the materials in front of you. hiding your round stomach from his gaze and maybe, the first time in his life other than volleyball he finds you — interesting.
dilf tsukishima who thinks about you often. that's a lie. he thinks about you all the time. his cock twitching in his pants at the mere thought of you. sees your pretty face and your delectable body swimming in his thoughts and he can't help but to jerk. just seeing your flustered expression and he wonders if he can make that same expression when you're under him. moaning and begging desperately for him to let you cum. it's a shame but it's been long since he fucked, not frustratingly jerking thinking about the thought of you.
dilf tsukishima who you get closer after a few numerous visits. he's way interesting than his son or is he? there's a little resemblance to him and he surely takes after his mother but who cares? you have him in front of you, talking to him in stuff that his son never takes interest in. his sarcasm and a few quips of these and this and how see things in a different perspective, it's attractive.
dilf tsukishima silently reading articles for the upcoming event in the museum while you and his son are typing and discussing over the project in the kitchen. reasoning the room was getting stuffy and new space would be good and that's how you two ended up in his dad's kitchen not until he receives a phone call and saying he needs to take it outside which you've just nod. focusing back on the project you're working on. biting your pen and stealing glances to his dad who is quietly reading in front of you. in which didn't go unnoticed by him who was also doing the same.
dilf tsukishima who can't stop staring at you behind those papers he was reading. your cherubic cheeks puffing up whenever you're confused with something and your plumps drawing into a smile whenever you finished your part. your chubby fingers holding your pen and how it would look wrapped around his cock. he breaks in his imagination when he catches you staring back at him before going back to your work with a flustered expression visible in your face and kei's lips twitches into one of his condescending smirk. judging from your squirming he knows you're rubbing your thighs together.
“naughty girl. openly eye-fucking your partner's father. is this what they thought you?” he asks. towering over you while you're still seated. leaning down to meet your gaze and the way your throat moves as you swallowed.
“n-no. i w-wasn't.” you stammer as your try to evade the question not missing how his eyes glints with amusement behind those glasses of his and the smirk evident in his face.
“oh really?” he taunts. his smirk blooming into a bigger one. cupping one of your round cheek. his thumb brushing to your lip and you were left breathless. not being able to speak nor defend yourself cause it's true. you've been dreaming about it and now it's turning into a reality.
his sight landing to your plump lips watching as his thumb sinks and tugs at your lower lip. “what is it you desire?” he asks. his face close to yours and his breath tickles. fanning over the expanse of your skin. the pad of his thumb swiping and grazing your lips before slowly slipping it inside your mouth. in which you only replied by slowly suck his thumb while looking at him doe-eyed.
“tsk.” giving you a glare before responding in a way that leaves your panties soaking wet. “good girl.” he praises you. briefly looking at the side to his son's shadow nearing.
with a pop, your lips parted. “yes. i'm your g-” you didn't finish what you're about to say as he casually pulls his fingers before going back to his seat. his son walking back like nothing happened. clueless about the glare you have given him and his dad looking at him indifferently.
dilf tsukishima who still treats you the same when visiting but doesn't mean he can't bury his fingers in you knuckle-deep while his stupid son is in the next room — wondering where you've gone to.
“k-kei!” you moaned out loudly. moving your hips to meet with his fingers pumping inside and out of your hole. his slender fingers glistening with your juices. “what happened to mister, sweetheart?” he smirks. purposely slowing down and that leaves whining and eager for more before pumping his fingers harshly that your thighs started shaking.
dilf tsukishima who relishes in the sweet moans and the filthy words leaving in your mouth. your fingers gripping oh so tightly to his wrist while he slid his fingers inside you. adding an another finger and coos at you. praising how good you are for taking him.
“that's it, sweetheart.” he chuckles. loving the way your body bounces from his fingers. he got this plush, sweet, young girl and the partner of his son is spreading for him lewdly. “boys your age can't please you properly, hm? that's why you're here.” he says that without waning like it doesn't affect him but it does. just a mere thought of a another man touching you can't satiate the desire just to fuck you dumb. he needs you longing and wanting for him. tell him that no one can satisfy you but him.
“y-yes! can't please me right, please fuck me!” you say through the tears clumping at your eyelashes and the pretty pout you have but dilf tsukishima doesn't budge. oh, do he loves it when you get this needy with him. that's why he loves you high and soaking wet with no release.
“not happening and oops, time's up, sweetheart. don't want my son wondering where you'd gone.” he says, pulling out his fingers before you can cum and that the most cruel way he can get. that's why you're whiny and pouty.
dilf tsukishima who licks off the slick coated in his fingers. burning the memory of the taste of your juices in his and maybe the next meet he could eat you out and finally fuck you stupid with his cock and you would want him more.
“asshole.” you muttered, rolling your eyes at him and he doesn't miss it. he got a brat to discipline. it's fine. he likes it and dilf tsukishima could finally be with the woman he likes not minding the gap between the two of you.
later that night, you've fingered yourself but that leaves you frustrated. your fingers aren't that long compared to his dad. can't reach your sweet spots to bring you release and you lay that night in your bed with nothing but the thoughts of his dad. grabbing your phone to send him a quick text.
“need you. i can't cum.”
dilf tsukishima who reads the text in amusement, a brief chuckle escaping him. he got you bad. that's why the next day when the moment his son leaves, you were desperately grinding him. such a pervert. he muses to himself but don't worry he won't leave you high this time. just make sure you can take him just like he expected from you.

Being what you are and what you could be
Simon's father is sitting on the couch when he comes home. There's lines of blow on the table. He stares at him with hate in his eyes.
Simon pulls his hood up and tries to just go past.
"Your Mum is out with a friend."
Simon nodded. "And Tommy?"
"Out at a party."
Simon nodded but tried to keep going.
"Simon. Stop."
He paused, foot still in air. "Yes sir?"
Mr. Riley glanced at him. "You look just like your mother."
Simon swallowed. "Thank you."
"Wasn't a compliment."
He let out a breath. "Can I go? I just want to go upstairs, Dad."
Mr. Riley stared at him. "You're going to end up just like me. You know that right?"
Simon paused and looked back at him. "What?"
"You're going to grow up. You're going to find someone. Probably some fucking blond. If you're like me, they'll be weak. You'll think you're in love. I know you will. You're fucking soft."
Simon tried not to shake. He wouldn't cry. Couldn't cry. But emotions still broiled and bubbled in him. It wanted a way out but nothing happened.
"But. You'll find yourself getting angry. Really angry. You'll hit them. And you'll think to yourself that you won't do it again. That you're better than me. But you're not. You're angry and vicious and I made sure you're full of sharp edges, just like me. You'll backhand them. And then you'll realize, well. They deserve it."
"Sounds like you're making excuses." Simon swallowed. "You do horrible things and say it's in your nature. it's not. You're just a shit person."
"And you're my son. What does that make you?" Mr. Riley waved his arms, smiling. His teeth were damaged from years of drug abuse. His mom had insisted that Simon and Tommy get braces as soon as possible. "You're made of the same cloth as me. Burned by the same fire. You'll always be a monster, Simon. I'm sorry for that. If I had been a better person, I would've made your mom abort you."
Simon bit his lip until he felt it start to burst. He just stared, not really having words to respond to that with. He was 16. Just got back from working. His hands were still raw from where he had scrubbed them. Fingers still sore from holding a butcher's knife.
"You're going to hurt everyone you ever love, Si. And there's nothing you can do about it. But knowing you, you'll let them in, anyway. You're soft like that. Your heart is soft. Squishy. Better learn to fix that. Make it cold. Because being loved by you? It's a death sentence.
Now fuck off. You look too much like your fucking mom."
~
Ghost had never felt so pissed in his life. He glared at Soap, feeling actual venom bubbling into his mouth. Preparing to say something vicious. Cut him with his tongue or bruise him with his fists.
Soap and Ghost stared into each other's eyes.
Ghost swallowed.
Soap had beautiful eyes.
He huffed and Soap looked defensive. "What's that about?"
"Sorry just... You look beautiful."
Soap let out a startled laugh. "What?"
"And you're not blond." Ghost said softly before softening. "I'm sorry."
Soap blinked rapidly. "Did something happen?"
"I don't... want to repeat my father's mistakes."
"Oh, mo chroí-"
Ghost grabbed him and, showing as much gentleness as he could, put his arms around him. "Love, it's okay. Not like that. Just... I love you."
Soap squeezed him. "I'm sorry too. You wanna try this again?"
Ghost took a deep breath and let go of Soap before letting it out. "Yeah. Let's try this again."

Hello! Your writing style is amazing!!!
I was wondering if you could write about bf carlos and y/n on a little summer getaway with his family during summer break. With soft prompts like hugs from behind
Thankss
paella en mallorca l Carlos Sainz blurb
Palma de Mallorca was just one of those places; pristine waters, breathtaking scenery, great night life and even better food.
But that was before you met Carlos. Now it meant family game nights with his family, hushed whimpers in the middle of the night to not wake anyone up, laughter that made your cheeks hurt, stolen kisses when his parents weren't watching as if you were teenagers, mornings with dogs barking and waves crashing.
For some reason, days like this with your boyfriend's family were just as good as when you got him to yourself in your shared apartment, because seeing him with his family and being incorporated so easily in the dynamic was one of the best feelings ever.
Especially now when you were easily discussing the latest MET Gala looks with Ana and Blanca, sipping white wine, wearing bikini tops and a light cover-up, protecting your eyes from the sun as the boys discussed motorsports.
Nobody really wanted to be too close to the open fire where lunch was being cooked, the sun already too blinding and weather too warm for anyone's liking, but for some reason your boyfriend placed the charcuterie board near the paellera, forcing you to get up.
"Why are you giving my sisters more attention than me?"
You weren't even startled by the voice of your boyfriend as he placed his chin on your shoulder, forcing you to turn around and find his brown eyes shining and full lips trying to mimic a pout, but it wasn't really working, making you giggle while fixing a loose strand of his hair.
"You're welcome to the conversation, mi amor," you smiled at him, but the answer wasn't exactly what he wanted.
"No, it's my break and you are supposed to be with me," Carlos complained and turned you around, circling his arms on your bare torso and again placing his chin on your shoulder, stealing kisses on your cheek. "Come on, cariño. Let's eat and then we can go for a walk with Piñón, just the three of us,"
Of course you agreed, nothing got better than lazy days walking around with Carlos and Piñón, enjoying the sun and stopping for some good gelato or a cold beer on the way.
"Amor, why did you leave the board so close to the fire? The cheese is melting," you accused your voice using a tender voice, but that wasn't what got his attention.
He let go of your waist and walked towards his dad who was overlooking what he called su especialidad and didn't take kindly to anyone who told him what to do or how to do it.
"Papá, venga que se va a recocer esto," Carlos told his dad. Dad, come on, this is going to be overcooked.
His senior was outraged, trying to prove to his son that everything was cooking perfectly and to not mess with his paella, and of course your boyfriend retaliated, telling his dad he didn't want to eat something that was overcooked, because everyone knew Carlos Sainz Jr. was not going to stop until he proved his argument, even over something as silly as this.
He was in the middle of saying something about the right point of the squid or some ingredient when it was your time to wrap your arms around his middle and kiss the nape of his neck, his hands immediately finding yours and growing quiet, an automatic smile decorating his features with your touch.
"Gracias a Dios por mi nuera, pa' que cierres la boca un rato!" Thank God for my daughter-in-law so you can shut up for a while!

Influence
Tumblr media
Eric's dad Michael wanted his son to be a straight, tiktok influencer boy. Instead he had a son who was gay and although he had tiktok, he didn't post anything alongside any of the other social media apps. Michael was also homophobic and didn't agree with the whole "lgbtq" stuff.
"Son why don't you just post on tiktok?" Michael asks.
"Because I don't want to dad." Eric replies in his typical "gay" voice.
"Why not?" Michael asks.
"Because it's cringe and also I'm gay dad." Eric answers.
"Look I've tried being supportive of this whole gay thing but now you're just crossing the line." Michael says.
"You're an only child and I need you to carry out the families legacy. For some odd reason it didn't work on you." Michael adds.
"What do you mean?" Eric asks.
"Why don’t you want to be a straight boy with a six pack and a jawline to die for?" Michael asks.
"It's weird and that's not me you sad homophobe!" Eric says angry.
"Why is it weird? I think it would be awesome! And so what I'm a homophobe I don't care." Michael says.
"I've had it up to here with your lifestyle. It's wrong." Michael says.
"Everyone should support the lgbtq+ community! You're just jealous that I'm better than you and you're probably gay yourself." Eric says.
"How dare you associate me with that stuff!" Michael says fuming.
"Everyone should be gay. Gay is the way!" Eric says.
"I disagree. Girls like straight boys. If all boys were gay, there would be a shortage of boyfriends for girls. Plus if all boys are gay, nobody could ever have babies." Michael says.
"And?" Eric says.
"If there were no babies, humanity would die out. And that would be very bad." Michael says.
"Well then there would be no more homophobes." Eric says.
"And plus what are you going to do, hypnosis isn't real." Eric adds.
"I’m gonna turn you into a straight tiktok influencer boy with a six pack and a jawline to die for and you’re going to get a girlfriend and have babies and be the perfect husband someday." Michael says.
"Ew me a straight tiktok influencer boy." Eric says.
"That’s what you’re gonna be from now on. I’m turning you straight right now, and by the time we are finished, not a single gay thought will touch your mind." Michael says while he begins to hypnotise Eric.
Slowly but surely, the straightening process begins. The completely gay thoughts and feelings start turning into more bisexual thoughts and feelings in Eric's head. His attraction towards girls increases while his attraction towards boys starts to diminish.
"Maybe I should give girls a second try. I still like guys but girls are pretty too." Eric says still in his typical "gay" voice.
"Good. You should totally be into girls. You should start thinking about what girls you want to ask out and stuff." Michael says.
The straightening continues, the gay feelings continue to go away and more and more straight feelings and thoughts come in.
"You are going to be a total ladies man. Girls are going to be all over you, you’re gonna be their dream boy. You’ll be what every girl wants. You’re gonna grow up and have your pick of women. You could get any girl you want, you’re gonna be that attractive." Michael says whilst Eric was still in his trance like state.
"By the time your transformation is finished, you’re not going to even remember that you used to be gay. You’ll just remember being a straight boy who loves girls and thinks they’re the most beautiful things to ever exist. All those blow jobs you gave to guys will change to how many blow jobs you've received from girls. And you'll want to start recording tiktok videos and you will want to become an influencer." Michael adds.
"You also will grow a few inches taller and have a very sharp and defined jaw, girls will want you so badly. All the girls in your classes are going to have crushes on you by the time I’m done. They’re going to swoon over you and beg you to go out with them and beg to be your girlfriend, you’re going to have a new pretty girl crushing on you every week. Girls are going to fall in love with you just by looking at you, they’ll think you’re so hot. You’ll be the hottest guy in your school." Michael says.
"Ok dad." Eric says in a trance like state.
"Okay, get ready for a drastic transformation." Michael says knowing that the physical changes are about to start.
the physical changes begin. Eric's body is instantly sculpted, his face is now perfect, his jaw is sharp and defined, his body is muscular and ripped, his muscles look like those of an athlete. His height also increased a bit, now he is taller than his dad, rocking a solid 6'2. He looks like the perfect straight tiktok boy.
"And your hair." Michael says.
Eric's hair also immediately changes to be a typical straight boy haircut, it looks stylish and trendy, like the haircut all straight boys at school have. His hair fits his head shape perfectly and makes him look even more hot than he already looked. His hair instantly turned fluffy and messy in the most stylish and trendy way possible, it makes him look cute but also hot which perfectly aligns with his straight tiktok influencer boy look.
"Finally your voice and mindset."
Eric's voice drops a couple of octaves and was now deep and masculine. He now only thought of having a girlfriend, sex, sports, being as straight and masculine as possible, and making tiktoks. Mainly thirst traps. He was no longer Eric, he was now Ethan, or @yaboiethan on tiktok.
"Perfect! You are done." Michael says happy.
"Yo dad, I'm gonna go and make a tiktok in my room. The gays love it but I'm only doing it for the hot girls of course." Ethan says in his new masculine voice.
"You do that son, make your dad proud and ask out that girl you like." Michael says.
"Oh yeah Madison, I will dad see ya in a bit." Ethan says.
Eric went from being a gay boy who hated social media, to becoming Ethan, a straight boy who only cared about the big 5: getting a girlfriend, sex, sports, being as straight and masculine as possible, and making tiktoks.

you two would meet at the one of the parents meeting. i don't think he would be confident enough to strike a conversation with you so he spends most of the time looking at your way when he is talking and making eye contact with you.
he would muster up the courage to talk to you one afternoon when you went to pick up your son, he was the last one in there since you left your work a little bit late but heeseung stayed with him.
the first thing he would say it's his name like if you didn't know it already LMAO you'll find it cute though.
you and your son have this dynamic to talk about your days on your way home so he tells you about his teacher lee heeseung and how cool he is and your heart melts when your kid tells you that you two should be friends
days pass with heeseung greeting you when you drop off s/n (son name) at the kindergarten but you don't pay too much mind to it until one day he asks you about your son's dad and you tell him that you both broke up when s/n was 1 year old and decided to coparenting but he didn't really care about the child and he was not present in yours and your son's life anymore.
heeseung thinks that your ex partner was a coward for leaving you and your son, he knows being a single mom is difficult and even more when you have to work and take care of your child at the same time so he offers to drop off s/n at your house so you wouldn't be picking him up late or hurrying up at work to pick him up at time. you're a bit hesitant at first but when you see how much you son enjoys being with heeseung and how much fun he has, you let him help you.
it became a routine in little not time. you and heeseung get to know each other better and grow more comfortable with each other.
heeseung was so sweet and caring that it didn't surprise you when one day he decided to ask you on a date. after THAT one date you went on more dates and finally he asked you out and you accepted.
seeing heeseung and your kid spend time together made your heart swell with happiness, they just looked so cute. heeseung was definitely the missing piece of your loving family.
“do you think he really likes me?” “he does loves you, heeseung”

you and jongseong met at the park on your weekly “mom-daughter” day with d/n (daughter's name).
you were just sitting on a bench looking at your daughter play with some kids but you just happened to get a call from your mom to ask you about something and boom! when you looked up again, your kid wasn't there.
you panicked and started to look for her everywhere until you saw her in front of a ice cream cart AND HOLDING HANDS WITH A GUY. that's when you really panicked and called her name
them both turned around and she ran to you with an ice cream in her hand and a big smile on her face “mommy, i made a new friend” she told you and then waved at the man that was standing a few meters away so you waved at him, too and he waved back with a smile
that's how that day concluded.
AND NOW a month later you're dropping off your baby at the kindergarten and and the first thing you see is the same man your daughter met at the park and you got a little bit nervous (i mean who wouldn't. it's park jongseong y'all duh) but you as a polite lady you are, greeted him and from outside he was like "oh i know you" but in the inside he was even more nervous than you bc you looked so so sooo pretty and he thought that maybe he saved so many lives in his past life and that's why the deities have gifted him with you.
jongseong made it his personal goal for this new kindergarten year to win your heart so he took extra care of you daughter. atp she was his favorite student and her other classmates were kinda jealous bc she got (almost) all the attention but in reality he loved all his students the same it's just that he wanted to make you look at his way.
buddy was DESPERATE so one day he asked your daughter to sweet talk about him to her mom (you) and she was sooo confused like "why would i do that" but at the end they made a deal in which she would get well done stickers if he got close to you.
you found it lovely how your daughter seemed to really like her teacher since she wasn't the kind to bond that easily with someone to the point that everything she talked about when you dropped her and picked her from school and so you decided to befriend with jongseong so to show her that you appreciate him, too
well, time went by and as it did, you and jay got really close and one day he decided to take you on a date and then more dates and then you both started dating and let's say your daughter gets her well done stickers more often now
“what's 8 plus 8?" " it's sixteen!" "you're right, d/n!"

𑇛᧙ 𝐒𝐈𝐌 𝐉𝐀𝐄𝐘𝐔𝐍 :
well.. lets just say that your son is not really that good at maths and jake, as his dear maths teacher, was worried about your child not getting good grades
you, as the mom, were worried about the same thing as well, so one day you (AS ANY OTHER MOM WOULD!!!) asked jake if he could be s/n's tutor and you would pay him (obviously)
jake accepted not only because he was genuinely worried of your kid's grade but because he thought you looked pretty too (you're gorgeous!!)
okay so your kid has been taking tutoring sessions with jake and you could see his grades eventually get better!! to the point that you started thinking that jake maybe is a wizard because how the heck you're so smart, patient, kind AND good looking?? all that in one???
and just like that.. you started to see your son's teacher as something more than your son's teacher :(( like, who wouldn't??
you felt AND acted so awkward around him. your face reddening everytime he smiled sweetly at you, your stomach fluttering when you heard his voice or feeling extra giggly and childish when your son mentioned jake and something random he had told him earlier that day
FYI you were NOT the only one feeling that way. there was this certain man called jake who just couldn't get you out of his mind and almost always (discreetly) asked about you to your very oblivious son
until one day in which jake woke up a little too confident and when the classes ended and you went to pick up your son he asked you to go out and eat something. my baby was super nervous and afraid that you'll reject his offer but when he heard you accepting bro ALMOST flew
what was an only date became a weekly thing between you, jake and (sometimes) your kid and you couldn't help but feel more and more helpless because its been MONTHS and jake hasnt asked you out yet
but one thing you need to know is that my bro jake really wants to ask you out but he doesn't clearly gets how he's supposed to approach you with the topic (he's shy)
so!! you got tired of it and asked him to date you instead :)) and that afternoon you both had free and you were making bcc in his backyard with your son playing with his dog on the grass was one of the best days you could every have had in your life
"jake is your stepdad now, darling" "but he was my teacher yesterday!" "he's still your teacher, too darling"

Steve has always been confused when people describe family- the structure, what it means to them, any of it. His parents were always distant with him. The babysitters they hired weren't any better.
He's never really considered family important or significant. It's a meaningless word to him. He has his relatives and that's it. He doesn't have any family, not the way people describe it as anyway.
Well. He used to think like that. He thought like that for a while and, for most of that time, he was right. But it very quickly turned around.
It started with Dustin.
The kid was clearly in awe of Steve. Steve had seen it clear as day and found himself desperate to keep him safe. And he did- he worked hard to keep the brat alive, despite repeated efforts to undermine that. And Dustin is so fiercely loyal.
"You die, I die!" Dustin had yelled at him once.
Steve had stared at him, with a sudden cold realization; he loves Dustin. The kid is his family. A weird mix between a little brother and a son. And Dustin clearly felt just as strong for him.
He already knew how ready he was to die for Dustin. He knew now, without a doubt, that nothing would be able to stop him from keeping him safe.
But, he reasoned, one pseudo-kid is enough.
Then Lucas had turned to him one summer. He wanted to get into basketball and knew Steve used to play. It was supposed to be simple practices, some tips and things like that. Nothing special, just advice between friends. Because that's all they were, at the time.
Over the summer, with all the time spent together, they quickly because good friends. And, again, Steve kept telling himself that it's just that. Friends. He's already got a weird pseudo-kid with Dustin.
Watching the game, however, quickly shatters that illusion. As soon as Lucas had stepped onto the court, Steve thought; "thats my kid!"
And Steve thought having one kid was a blessing- a horrible, sarcastic, needy blessing but a blessing none-the-less. Having two is chaotic, but oddly comforting. They're both so different and fill spaces in his heart he hadn't known were empty. They're more family than Steve had ever thought he'd be allowed to have.
But Max had quickly stepping into the picture.
There was always something about her that made Steve feel even more protective. Their first real time spent together being that van, the demodogs, definitely didn't help. He doesn't think he'll ever forget hearing her scream. He doesn't think he's ever moved as fast as he had then.
Seeing Billy getting aggressive with Lucas had only heightened it all. He'd only known Max a few days when he realized that she would never be able to shake him now.
Even when Max tried to push him away, after Billys death, saying the cruelest things she could thing of to get him to back off, he hadn't. He'd simply started to call her parents instead, made sure they knew if they needed anything, if Max ever wanted to vent to him again, he's still there. He's still waiting.
Seeing her in a hospital dead, essentially dead just… it feels like someone has shoved their arm down his throat and pulled his lungs out. Like someone has taken something so vital...
The only comfort, the only person who seems to settle him, is Eddie Munson. But... Eddie isn't part of his little pseudo-family. He wants him to be. He doesn't. It's... confusing. Because he likes Eddie.
Eddie, who lets Steve hold his fingers to his wrist so he can feel his pulse. Eddie, who insists on being moved into a wheelchair so Steve isn't sat in Maxs room alone. Eddie, who doesn't let anyone make Steve go home even though he probably should. Eddie, who looks at Steve like he hasn't failed him or the kids.
One day, Steve asks. He has to, he has to know.
"You're a good dad to them," Eddie explains. He quickly holds up a hand when Steve tries to deny it. "You are. And you aren't the only one who forgets it. You need someone to look out for you too and, since Buckley is too busy hitting on your ex, you're stuck with me."
"I'm not stuck," is all Steve could think to say.
"Hm?"
Steve ducks his head, tries to pull back but Eddie just holds onto his hand tighter. "I'm not... I don't feel stuck. With you."
"Good."
Steve glanced up. Eddie rewarding him with a bright grin, lifting his hand up to kiss the back of it. Steve can feel his face heating up. He doesn't feel embarrassed though, hopes the little smirk means that Eddie is taking his blush as encouragement.

You’ve been sitting in the driveway for five minutes just contemplating whether or not you should go inside the house. This is your job. You shouldn’t be nervous. You’ve been coming here for two years. Should you look for a new job? Would that make things better? With a shake of your head, you get out of your car and head up the porch steps to the house.
You don’t even have to knock. Steve knows you’re coming over.
“Steve? I’m here,” you announce as you enter.
Steve doesn’t come down right away and you breathe a sigh of relief. You’ve had a major crush on him since you started working for him, but you’re his kid’s nanny. You can’t do anything with him anyway. Instead of facing your feelings, you push them down in hopes you can survive another day. It sucks because you love babysitting his son, Jasper. He’s such a sweet boy and has grown into a very energetic kid. You’ve been with Steve and Jasper since Jasper was born after Steve’s wife left him.
“Y/N!” Jasper squeals when he sees you.
Jasper runs over to you on little legs, and you scoop him up when he gets to you.
“Hi, Jasper! I’ve missed you so much!”
“I miss you!” he grins and hugs you tightly.
Steve comes jogging down the stairs to the left of you and your mouth immediately goes dry at his outfit. He is on the New York Rangers NHL team so he’s dressed in skin-tight clothing that will go under his official uniform. However, the skin-tight spandex stretches over his chest so deliciously that it’s taking everything in you not to set Jasper down and feel his bulging muscles. He has a game he needs to get going to so he asked you to babysit last minute. His sister was going to take him but she backed out at the last second due to medical reasons.
“Thank you for coming on such short notice,” he says.
You put Jasper down and he runs off presumably to get something for you.
“It’s no problem. I love being here.”
“Well, you know my schedule and everything about Jasper. I won’t have my phone on me so if you need anything, call Bucky. I asked him to be on call if anything happens.”
“Steve, don’t worry about any of this. I got this.”
“You’re the best.” He brings you in for a hug which causes you to stiffen up. His clothes don’t do a good job of hiding how strong he is. He is built like a monster even though he is one of the sweetest men you’ve ever known. “Oh, I’ll be home late. The team will probably want to hang out afterward, win or lose.”
“You guys are going to win,” you smile and pull away from him, “but I don’t mind staying a bit later. Be careful, it’s snowing a lot.”
“Nice to know you worry about me,” he winks.
Just like that, he’s gone. You let out the breath you’ve wanted to let out since seeing Steve in his uniform. Jasper comes back with a picture he was coloring shortly before you got here.
“Alright, Jas, what do you say? Want to surprise Daddy at work?”
“Yeah!” he giggles.
“Okay, let’s get ready.”
You were planning on going to the game with tickets you bought yourself, but what better way for Jasper to show his support than to be there for one of his dad’s games? Steve knows you love going to his games so he’s reserved seats for you if you ever wanted to go. It doesn’t matter if you go or not, those seats will always be available to you for every single game he plays.
You and Jasper get ready before getting into the car, and you make the careful yet short long ride to the stadium he’s playing in. The snow is coming down but not hard enough to keep people off the roads. Luckily, you’ve lived in New York all your life so you can navigate a few icy roads.
When you pay for parking, you two head inside and find your seats quickly. They are some of the best seats in the house, right in front. There is a small ledge between the glass and the wall that someone can stand on if they’re small enough. Jasper is only two, so his small feet fit perfectly on the ledge. You allow him to stand there while holding his legs so he doesn’t fall over.
Steve and his team skate onto the ice, and Jasper gets so excited that he starts doing a little dance and clapping his hands. Damn, he looks so good in his hockey uniform. He doesn’t have his helmet on yet since the game hasn’t started.
“Daddy!” he grins and taps on the glass with his tiny hands.
Steve skates around to get used to the feel of the ice beneath him. He looks at the audience in curiosity when his eyes lock on yours from across the rink. A smile breaks out on his face but he keeps himself from skating over to you. He waves at Jasper who waves back and you almost melt at how cute their relationship is.
The game is about to start but he is going to do his best to make every shot knowing you’re out there watching him.
The game starts off without a hitch, and you sit on the edge of your seat hoping Steve’s team wins. It’s neck and neck until the ref calls for a timeout to settle a disagreement on the points the Rangers just scored. Steve takes this moment to skate over to you and Jasper while taking his helmet off. He puckers his lips which means he wants a kiss from Jasper, and the small child kisses the glass since that’s the best he can do. Steve kisses the glass right over his son’s before winking at you.
It’s the smile combined with the wink that makes butterflies erupt in your stomach. Why did he wink at you? Was he hinting at something more? Was it just friendly? He’s sending you mixed signals that are making you confused, but the last thing you’re going to do is ruin it and confront him about it.
The rest of the game went really well for the Rangers, and they won 38-30 just as the buzzer sounded off. Everyone who is in the stands are Rangers fans, so almost everyone cheers for that team. Steve and his team had to get off the ice fairly quickly and into the locker rooms so you didn’t have time to catch him after the game. Plus, he did say that he and his team are going to hang out afterward, win or lose, so it’s time to pack up and get back home.
“Alright, did you like that game?” you ask Jasper when you walk into the house.
“Yeah! Daddy was awesome!”
“Yeah, he was,” you grin. “I’m glad you had a good time but it’s nearly bedtime. I’ll read you your favorite story.”
“Okay!”
“Go brush your teeth and I’ll be right there.”
He runs off to his room while you grab a boxed dinner from the freezer. It has to microwave for ten minutes so you pop that into the microwave and heat it before going to Jasper’s room. He’s not a fan of brushing his teeth at night which is why it only took him thirty seconds to do it, but you’re working on getting him to do it longer.
Storytime only takes six minutes because Jasper is wiped out by today’s events. He didn’t do a lot of running around but he did do a lot of cheering and eating stadium foods. Bedtime has always been easy for Jasper, which you are grateful for.
By the time you got changed into comfier clothes, your dinner was done. For the next two hours, you eat dinner, drink some wine that Steve bought specially for you, and watch one of your favorite TV shows that you’ve seen a million times.
You don’t even realize you fell asleep until Steve got home two hours after that. He shakes off the snow from his jacket before hanging it up and finds you sleeping on the couch with the TV on low volume. Your half-eaten meal and empty wine glass sit on the coffee table, and he lets you sleep a little while longer as he cleans up your mess quietly.
“Doll, wake up,” he whispers and moves some hair away from your face.
You jerk awake but calm immediately when you see it’s Steve. You look at the time and almost curse because it’s so late. You weren’t meant to fall asleep but you had an extra glass of wine that put you right out.
“I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to fall asleep.”
“I don’t mind. I only woke you up because you can sleep on something much more comfortable than this couch.”
“No, I should just go home. It’s pretty late.”
You get up and stretch, and Steve can’t help but look at the patch of skin that shows when your shirt rides up slightly.
“Y/N, it’s snowing pretty bad out there. I had a hard time seeing the road while coming back. Just sleep in my guest room. Honestly, it’s not a problem.”
You should have said no. You should have insisted on going home, but you didn't. Instead, you nod in agreement and follow him to the guest room. You have kept some of your clothes in here from when you had to stay the night previously, so you use those for tonight. After brushing your teeth and doing half of your skin-care routine, you get into bed. Snow isn’t as loud as rain when it hits the window, but you can see it through the shadows and patches of moonlight outside.
It’s hard to fall asleep knowing Steve is only a few doors down from you. Suddenly, there is a knock on the door and you know Jasper didn’t do that. You get out of bed and tread through the darkness to the door. Steve is standing outside fiddling with his hands. There is enough moonlight to light up his face so you don’t bother putting the lights on.
“Is everything okay with Jasper?”
“Yeah, he’s okay. He’s sleeping. I just didn’t thank you for bringing him to the game today.”
“I was already planning on going and figured what harm could it do to bring him along? He had a lot of fun, and he loved seeing you on the rink. You played really well.”
“Yeah, I had someone I needed to impress out there.”
Your heart beats faster at his words but you try to keep the conversation neutral.
“Well, your son was very impressed by you.”
Steve raises his arms to lean them against the frame of the door and moves a bit closer to you. Even in the darkness, you can see how blue his eyes are.
“That’s not who I was trying to impress.” You don’t think you can say anything to him even if you want to. What would you even say? He leans in closer until there is only a few inches between you. “Were you impressed by me?”
“What are you doing?” you whisper.
“If you tell me you’re impressed, I’m about to kiss you. So, were you impressed?”
“Maybe a little,” you tease.
He leans in the rest of the way and kisses you, and just like that, everything between you two changes. He only kisses you that night but makes it a point to do so after every game he plays for the rest of the season. Even when the season is over and done with, he still kisses you as if you’re the only woman that matters to him… and you are.
