crazy how you watch any spn episode from the first half of the show and it's like. i understand the hype around cas. he really is the best character on television. he kicks so much ass when the writers aren't nerfing and woobifying him every 5 seconds

i think maybe, as castiel was rebuilding dean from scratch and bearing his soul upward from hell, he thought about leaving out a bit of dean’s pain. like maybe he could remake dean, but make his memories a little brighter or his grief a little softer. make things easier for the righteous man.

but then that wouldn’t be dean, not really. and he’d already grown worryingly fond of the soul he was carrying. compromising it wouldn’t be right.

so he settled for removing dean’s physical scars. all but one, of course.

The more I watch Misha just be Misha Collins and recognize his very natural mannerisms and tone and expressions the more impressed by his acting I am cause Cas has barely any of them. Cas is a whole separate entity. Even the alt versions of Cas have their own.

And then Jess takes his hand and they go for a walk and he apologizes for what happened to her and she answers that she knows what happened and she understands and forgives him

I have to thank @copacet-blog for bidding on a commissioned artwork from me, for the @sunflower-auction earlier this year—and for being patient waiting for me to have a break in my schedule to complete this request!

We discussed several ideas but I just couldn’t resist indulging in a little nesting!Cas taking care of angel eggs. :) Of course he’s filled his nest with a lot of clothes “borrowed” from Dean’s closet, as is one of my favorite eggpreg tropes in this fandom (indeed, I very loosely was thinking of my own fic, On Instinct, while planning this out.)

It was a real excuse to indulge in my love of fabric painting and I had a blast working on it; I even built a mock-up of the nest at home to get my reference photos together for proper lighting and proportions.  The painting is approximately 20″x14″ in size and created using traditional watercolor, including handmade metallic paints from Emily Grace Palettes and Galaxy Colours on Etsy.
