ACTUALLY!!! While I'm thinking about it, here's some stuff I would greatly appreciate in the next animal crossing

- Overlapping rugs (just think it'd be cute tbh)

- Villager gossiping (about me, about each other, about anything)

- Celeste museum exhibit

- More diverse dialogue, if we can't have villager stories or more in-depth personalities.

- I want Harv to live in my little town so bad PLEASE!!!!! I NEED HIM!!!!!!!!

- Special characters that weren't in New Horizons! I didn't get the chance to play any older games unfortunately, so there's a lot that I missed that I wish I had access to. Like the pelican trio!

- Mini games!! Solo mini games! Group mini games! Play with villager mini games! Play with amiibo mini games!

- I'm fine with tools breaking, and I love crafting, but it's a bit silly to me that golden tools break, so if we could take that one part away that'd be fantastic.

- Perfect fruit! More fruit! Tropical fruit!

- I heard that Tortimers island was a lot of fun! It'd be cool to experience that.

- More game references instead of just Mario. (please add waluigi to the Mario stuff too... please)

- This one needs a bit of explaining, but customizable warp pipes. If two pieces of the same color link together, then you could have a set of green pipes, yellow pipes, red pipes and so on for more options to explore the town or island or whatever it is.

- What if we appeared in an abandoned town and we had to restore it? That could be fun!!

- Caves. The children yearn for the mines.

- Please keep crafting, I really like it

- I think in pocket camp there's a thing to change the color of your camper or something. If we could have something like that for what is the equivalent to the airport, that'd be awesome.

- It would be SOOOOOOO fun to customize resident services or the shops or the museum to fit whatever vibe people are going with for the islands.

- I feel bad that Mr Nook is getting bugged all the time while Isabelle is getting super ignored.. What if she were in charge of bridges and inclines and stuff while Mr Nook just had housing stuff. That way their responsibilities were more evened out. I never talk to Isabelle anymore..

- I'm gonna be honest, I like the slow terraforming because it gives me time to think. But everyone else wants the fast easy terraforming and decorating of HHP, so if we could have a mode for that, that'd be sick.

- Oh!!! For some reason, I REALLY want a 360 camera option. I want to see the town how the villagers do. Live there how my character does. Explore it like everyone does. That'd be awesome if there was a first person 360 cam. Pleeeeeeease

- I know this is gonna funk with gameplay, but. I want the museum and resident services to be able to close. My poor Blathers, Dodo brothers, Mr Nook, and Isabelle are horribly overworked. Give them a break! (This is fully just a me thing, I've been pretending it closes and just not going in at certain hours of the day. Yes, it makes my life harder, but it makes my imagination happy.)

- For the tool ring tools to LIVE on the tool ring, rather than my inventory. A whole row of my inventory does not need to be filled with this nonsense if a tool ring actively exists. It doesn't make sense to me.

- I want to be able to choose what rooms to add. I want my back and left side room and a basement. That is it. I do not want anything else. I want my house to look like the villager houses. It makes me sad when it doesn't look like them. And I want to be able to upgrade my storage without tacking on a new room.

- If a villager asks to go, and you say no. The next time they ask to go, they're telling you they're moving out instead. I like that they can't move out without the bubble consultation though.

- Can I have more clutter or smaller sizes for objects so I can put multiple in one square? And can I put objects on my bed? Can I post up pictures I take in my house? Can I give villagers my photo when they give me theirs? Can I give my friends my photo?

- More sizes for custom designs. Like two block tall designs for example.

- Can I decorate trees myself? I want to participate..

- Can the holidays be bigger? I heard that Toy Day in New Leaf was a lot of fun..

- Can I get a cuter title than "Resident Representative"? I don't think I want to be a mayor, but I don't want something that big and bulky.

- Can I change my character name later in the game? I had to reset my island for the first time because of my transition. I'm sorry Punchy.. You were such a good friend.. I'll get you back..

- Can we use wheelchairs and bikes to move around? They're already in the game. And what about other disability inclusive things. I want canes and hearing aids and walkers and such.

- Can I display backpacks without the mannequin thing? I don't like it. It doesn't make sense. It doesn't have arms. How is it staying up. Just let me put them on the floor!

- .... pride flags? perhaps?? maybe just a little??

- Can villagers actually do stuff? Like shake trees, catch bugs and fish, talk to Isabelle, post on the board, Anything! I want them to be able to live their little lives while I'm living mine..

- I feel like I already said this or something similar, but more villager drama.

- If I could have a way to make my island a certain season all year round, after I already experienced all of them, that would make me so very happy.

- More Harv. Just more Harv. He's my favorite please I need more Harv.

- Can I actually have a Harv figure amiibo? maybe with a little yellow bird or something?? Please..

- More wildlife! Like little real birds. Real squirrels. I don't know..

- There was someone on Tumblr who had a list of actually beneficial things for the museum and general game with proper examples. That too. That whole post. All the posts that I like but don't fully remember the ideas and / or don't want to blatantly steal those ideas. Look at them!

- Let me work for the special characters. Let me do errands for my villagers. Give me a job at the shop. At the cafe. At the museum. At resident services. At the airport or train station or post office or whatever. Let me do tasks for Harv. (Give. Me. More. Harv.) Let me complete little chores for villagers!

- I heard that you could get little tiny model dinosaurs through Reese or Cyrus, can I have that? Oh! And clothes customization!

- An in game catalog that shows you how far you've gotten or what you're missing.

- For the little photo idea for the walls I had earlier, if we could run them to Harv and have him print them out for us!! Maybe??? And can Harv come to the town or whatever for ceremonies and take a picture and give you the print afterwards? Can he have a general photo service as well as photopia? He's my favorite little man..

- More villager types! Like bats! They're a pretty popular request. Or more personality types? Oh! Or if villagers could actually form connections and friends with each other? (Although that might mess with a few headcanons people have for their animal friends..)

- More convenient friend finding, instead of having to return home in between people you meet. And an easier way to invite people to your town or travel to their town.

- Special character houses. Give Mr Nook a house. Give Blathers a house or a little museum apartment. Give Isabelle a house. It isn't fair that Blathers has to sleep in his museum!

- Can I please place things on partition walls? Or set more than one accent wall?

- Better animal tanks. Some of them just aren't healthy or realistic. I get that it's mainly to just hold until you get to Blathers, but what if I want a little Betta Fish pet? That tank is not sufficient! It does not have the proper enrichment a betta fish needs!

- More flower types! I want to put sunflowers by Goldie's house.

- What if I could change the placement of doors and windows inside my house? Just.. think of the possibilities. It's great.

- Please let me build a conversation pit in my house.. And please let me craft bridges.. and please let me make a little deck with tiny steps..

- Can we add sounds to custom designs? What if we could make them have the same sounds as the in game pathing? That way my deck path sounds like the wood or my tile path sounds like the brick or stone.

- Can.. can I put custom designs on my tool belt? Like a funky umbrella my friend made, can I put that in my little ring?

- More furniture throughout the decades. I want a cute little 70s, diner style fridge.

- Can I see people's passports in their dream address? Please..

I'm gonna stop here before I go on another ramble about Harv. I know most of this won't happen, but I just wanted to get my thoughts out there. PLEASE tell me your ideas or what you agree / disagree with. I'd love to hear.

This is unrelated to the blog's subject, but I'm SUPER hyped about this upcoming indie game called Critter Cove and I've got some super cool news; I got to give the devs some critter designs to show up as Townies you can invite to live in your town!

This isn't even all of them-- in total I've made well over 40 designs that they're gonna pick and choose from. These ones are just some of my favorites.

This character creator is CRAZY good. It's hard to find animals you can't make. Cow, squid, human, raptor, duck, I was even able to make a half-decent Anomalocaris up there. The ones that are difficult to make, like giraffes, horses, and insects, are actually planned to be added in soon.

Critter Cove plays like a mix between Animal Crossing and Subnautica. You sail around to collect scrap from the remains of sunken ruins, rebuild a rundown town on a polluted island, and make it appealing for both residents and visitors. There's also a plan to add a museum feature, dozens of islands, fishing mechanics, and even co-op in the future.

(but co-op will only come if the game's enough of a hit, which is why I'm shamelessly plugging it lmaoo)

It's launching into Early Access on September 10th, but it's got a VERY generous free demo which is only supposed to be "the first two hours" of the game...

...and I'm clocking 61.

Progression stops when you re-build the cafe, but you can keep playing, sailing around, running quests, and doing some simple gardening. Your progress rolls over into Early Access too, so you don't have to worry about losing your townies, clothes, structures, etc.

For all my designs I've got a free key, but it's gonna be launching somewhere in the 20 - 30 USD price range. I can't recommend the demo enough, but even just wishlisting it on Steam boosts their metrics and gets them in front of more people!

it was gifted to you on christmas about two years ago. you’ve always dwelled on wanting one of your own, but never had the balls to go out of your way to purchase one because they could get pretty pricey. a lot of your extensive research and effort you spent scouring the internet to find the perfect vinyl record you’d like pointed to signs of something completely out of your budget. well, not completely, but unrealistically obtainable with the numbers you’ve been receiving paycheck-to-paycheck from your job.

so, each time that the holidays were around the corner, and whenever your mother would ask for your christmas wishlist, you’d throw in several other items you’d like but never included the idea of wanting a vinyl record. that secret desire of yours was something you kept to yourself, something you never brought up in conversation, nor was it something you’d expect to receive unless it was coming out of your pockets.

lo and behold, on the morning of a wintery cold december 25, when you were gathered around the christmas tree with your siblings and parents to open your presents, there sat a box with a fragile sticker stuck to the wrapping.

naturally you grew up owning multiple generations of nintendo ds’s. when nintendo came out with a new updated version you’d go to the game store to trade it in for store credit just to get the latest release. this routine continued up until middle school when your gaming hobby no longer prevailed itself in your interests.

as months passed and 2017 eventually rolled by, the internet buzzed with life after nintendo’s announcement about the upcoming hybrid console came to light. rest assured that you were one of millions who preordered the device and waited impatiently for it’s hard launch date to release in store.

but again, school started to pick up and extra curricula’s were time consuming, that playing video games became less and lesser of an option for you to indulge in.

your digicam has followed you around the world to different countries for family trips, witnessed you graduate from high school, contained a lot of embarrassing photos of you and your friends, watched you grow since elementary to your first day of college, and captured numerous flicks featuring new faces.

when you started dating jongseob, your photo gallery has been nothing but candid pictures of you and him (mainly of you).

your boyfriend is constantly bringing it along with him to events or outings, because, in his defense, he just wants to create some memories for you both to look back on someday. sometimes he goes out of his way to point and direct you on how to pose.

once, over dinner, you asked jongseob if he’d rather upgrade to something better and not outdated, like a canon or even a proper film camera. however, he is not one to budge and refuses to give up the obsolete digicam he unintentionally took ownership of.

AITA for using my moms money to buy games?

The title sounds bad, but I'm not sure how else to word it. This is also going to be a weird one as, in advance, I know the other party isn't an asshole, however I think it's a similar situation im tone and I really need some feedback on this.

I'm 22 and live with my mom and cat. I've lived with her my whole life, and continue to due to disability. My mom has 2 jobs that she mainly works on weekends, and I'm unemployed. Ever since covid it's been incredibly difficult for me to find work because it is still very much a thing despite what people want to believe, and I can't be in contact with random people physically due to immune issues and the chance of getting sick. Online jobs are apparently very hard to find (my mom has tried) and many ask for a payment beforehand. I do however get social security income that pays most of our bills/utilities, and we're also on foodstamps for groceries.

My family has never been well off. I wouldn't call us dirt poor, we've never had to go hungry, and I always had toys to play with/clothes as a kid. But my mom has had to manage funds well and we've never had a lot of money for leisure or frivolous purchases. My mom will buy herself things like some new clothes, a phone charger, roku set, etc smaller things like that when she gets her paycheck but extra expenses such as furniture have to be planned out probably weeks/months ahead of time. We also moved recently and ever since then our budget has been more difficult, the down payment really screwed with my moms expenses.

Because of our situation, I never really had games growing up. I remember we had maybe 3 big family consoles during me and my sisters whole childhood (with like 3-6 games on them each, most of which were guitar hero which my mom and sister loved to play), and I would get a new handheld for myself every few years. I never got to play the new exciting games people were always talking about, and my gaming experience has really been limited to like. Animal crossing, the sims, and cooking mama.

I played a bunch of roms as a kid so that helped, but I was always kinda sad and felt left out that I never got to experience gaming the way other people did. I really wanted to try the "classics" people talked about but didn't have any way to. People (especially as I got into my 20s and started following streamers + nintendo direct for example) would always talk about the New Thing coming out and playing it the day it dropped, all the excitement and community people had around that, but if I really wanted that kind of game, I'd have to wait a few years before getting it and trying it out, and by then no one was playing it anymore anyways.

As time went on things got a little better. Especially because of my moms new jobs, both of which she genuinely loves doing, though it's still work, we have been a bit better off. It's only been recently we started struggling more again.

Recently I've been kind of asking for things from my mom. Mostly it's steam games. I found I've gotten much more into gaming as a hobby as I've gotten older, and I have a long wishlist of games that I really want to get into, but of course have no money to myself. I should also clarify that NONE of these are those big triple A $60 titles, as I still can't ever justify paying something so expensive for one game. So sometimes lately I've been asking my mom "hey, can I get this/these games?" And use her money/card to purchase them. I don't do it constantly, or even super often, but I feel like it's becoming more often and it makes me feel really guilty.

I have done this before, around high school I started asking my mom for certain things I wanted around the house, and usually she had no problem buying them for me. This also wasn't large stuff, nothing ever over $30 and usually only up to $20. But when I'd find something I *really* wanted, especially if it was a time limited thing like merch drops from a favorite content creator, often yarn for my knitting or art supplies I wanted to try, I would ask her.

I've pretty much always felt guilty about this. I would ask for something despite my better judgement, and for the most part my mom would say yes, and that it was okay, whereas I was the one apologizing and asking if it was "really alright". She has told me she has no issues buying things for me as long as I ask her. She says the social security I get is "technichally my money", and that she wants me to be able to use it. (Obviously we don't use the actual ssi to buy random shit, but her giving me spending money is the next best thing).

Every time I've asked my mom for something like this, I've told myself that it would be the last time, that I would get my own job and own money and not mooch on my mom anymore, but both with the stress of chronic illness and depression I never seem to get around to it. I try to do dishes and keep my room clean, take care of the cat etc as ways I can help without working, but for some reason the money really weighs on me. I know that it's really my fault, I haven't even been looking for jobs and I could always take art commissions again, but somehow a mental block always stops me.

I feel like I have a bit of an impulsivity problem when it comes to spending. The money I got from my one summer job and commissions would never last long, and honestly I couldn't even tell you what I spent it on for the weeks I had it. I have issues taking money from people, but when I realized that I may not have had the stuff I wanted as a kid simply because I never asked for/communicated that I wanted it, it made me more bold to actually ask my mom for things.

I never pester my mother about this. I'll ask once and if she says no I'll be dissapointed but won't continue. Sometimes she says that we don't have the money for it then, or that I'll have to wait until xyz thing is paid for, which is always fine. I also have *never* bought anything with her money without asking first. I get pretty much all the steam games I buy on sale (usually that's what prompts me to ask about them, actually) as personally I can't justify getting games for their asking price for the experience I'm going to get.

I feel bad as I feel like I'm wasting our money, mooching off my mom and not putting in the work to have spending money myself. I also worry that sometimes when she says it's fine, it's untrue and she's really just trying to make me feel better. I also sometimes don't play the games as soon as I get them, I have a sizeable backlog of games I have gotten but haven't "got around" to playing as I was excited to get them at a low price at the time, but then haven't felt like I'm in the right mood. This also makes me feel worse because I feel like I'm not being appreciative enough of her buying for me.

So am I the asshole?

Wishlist for fields of mistria full release:

- seeing the exhibits in the museum and being able to walk around in them, animal crossing style

- if an NPC says they’re impressed or interested in something I donated make it at least a neutral gift please…

- more use for the crafting station other than decorations, I’m not much of a decorator and my woodworking skill is at 1 as a result (though maybe there are more practical uses and because my level is so low I’m missing them?). The “practical uses tab” is so small in comparison to everything else

- it seems really hard to get wood compared to stone, I’m not sure if I’m missing something but I never have any wood even though I actively forage it

- I haven’t gotten all the way through the early access story but I hope there’s some drama and dark turns similar to rune factory 4, something related to the mines and the dragon statues (maybe the other animal statues as well? This is more speculation than wishing though)

- muscly women to date. Please. Buff ladies.

- it’d be nice to see some fat characters too, right now I can only think of one and he’s the comic relief

- some “common” items are pretty difficult to get, it took me a very long time to find a brown mushroom to move on to the next section of the mines

I’m not mentioning anything I think will definitely be included like finishing the story, finishing heart events, deeper mines progression, etc.

I had this in the works from the moment it got requested. Then I got confused when TikTok started sharing me videos of Animal Crossing. I still can’t decide if AC is having a comeback or if my phone just thinks I’m interested in it now.

Over the weekend we had these severe storms and such, and I was like “let’s take on some tiny requests.” Then ya’ll blew my inbox up and I got so busy I got to NONE of them. So yeah.. gonna be a busy four days off work.

Nothing irritates and upsets me more than loud noises. Living with Mitch, is like one constant loud noise. Just an ongoing bang inside my head. When he caught on to the wincing and the fidgeting that followed certain thuds and shouts, Mitch was good about learning to be quieter. Some noises though, were inevitable.

I learned to work around them, which always upset Mitch. I went out when he would do his at home workouts. The dropping of heavy weights and continuous thudding of his feet on the treadmill was always hard on me.

I didn’t attend many of his hockey games, if any at all. And if I did, I usually ended up on the office floors of the arena building, watching the game on my phone in one of the secretaries offices.

I took it in stride when his friends game over. I never made Mitch close his door to his team. I simply promised I would be back within an hour or so, and off I went to a park or library. Any quiet place I could find.

Thing is, I knew Mitch hated when I had to leave my comfort zone to find a new one. No matter how much assuring I did that I was fine, he always said he felt bad.

We didn’t have any solutions though. At least none I was willing to inform him of.

There was a pair of noise cancelling headphones I’d been looking at for a few months. I never informed him of them though, because they were expensive. Mitch already did so much for me, and I hated the idea that he’d jump at the opportunity to do more if he could. So I kept it to myself, on my laptop wishlist.

It wasn’t until one night that I couldn’t find my laptop, when I realized hiding anything from Mitch didn’t work.

“Hey, Mitchy.” I spoke as I walked through our house, my robe on and tied around my my waist. I’d gotten out of the shower close to a half an hour ago, but I got too comfortable in my robe to actually put clothes on. Mitch looked up at me from his phone. I could hear the faint music from Animal Crossing coming from his phone speaker. At first I convinced him to get it as a joke. Then he actually began to love it.

“What’s up?” Mitch asked, lowering his phone to his lap.

“My laptop is gone. I can’t find it anywhere.”

“I put it in the top drawer of the tv stand.”

I raised a brow at his words.

“Why’d you move it?” Sure, that’s where our laptops went, but Mitch didn’t move my stuff unless I asked him to. Mainly because I liked to have my things where I put them.

“I guess ‘cause I was using it.. just forgot to put it back where I found it.”

“You have your own.. why were you using mine?” I questioned, making my way over to the couch.

“I can’t tell you.”

“You better tell me. Better not be looking up weird stuff on my laptop.” Mitch had a tendency to be a hypochondriac. Which meant the first sign of abnormality in his body, and he was pulling up the internet searches.

And internet searches came with gross photos. The last thing I wanted was a bunch of unclosed tabs on weird illnesses and all the pictures that came with them.

“It’s supposed to be a surprise.”

My expression shifted into one of curiosity.

“Oh.” My weight shifted from one foot to the other. “Can I know now?”

“Well…” he contemplated his answer. “I guess so. I guess, yeah. It’ll be better to give sooner rather than later.”

Give?

“Just sit on the couch, okay?” I nodded and plopped down on the couch as Mitch stood up and left the room. I glanced at his phone he placed on the cushion beside me. I snatched it up to take a peek at his progress on the game. I liked to change his character’s outfits from time to time too.

I was in the midst of putting Mitch’s avatar in a tie-dye shirt when he returned, and I looked up to see him holding a box wrapped in plain blue paper. Always Leafs colors.

“Are you changing my guy again?” He asked quickly, a smile parting his lips.

“Can’t keep him the same all the time, hun. He needs cool outfits.” I teased as I set his phone down on the coffee table.

“Yeah but I like his hat.” Mitch whined, and I couldn’t help but giggle.

“I promise I left the hat. Don’t get distracted.” I reminded swiftly, and Mitch looked down at the box before he came to sit next to me, on the edge of the couch.

“Here.” He held the box out. I quickly took it from him. “You can open it whenever.”

“You don’t have to get me things.” I informed him. Mitch and I weren’t notorious gift givers. He was more so a words of affirmation kind of guy, and acts of service. Quality time was another big one for us.

“I know, but this one was important to you.” I glanced up at him with a grin. Mitch was always so caring. I slowly tore the paper away from the box, my brain fitting pieces of the puzzle together as more of the gift was revealed to me. I felt I already knew what it was before I even had most of it unwrapped.

My heart soared after the final piece of paper was gone.

“Mitch,” my tone came out serious. “Baby, you didn’t have to do this.” I looked up at him. “I’ve been looking at these for so long. How did you even know?” The emotion was evident in my tone, complete and pure happiness.

Mitch glanced down at his hands in his lap, before his baby blues met mine.

“You remember last week? When I had that pain in my ribs?”

“And you thought you were dying?”

“Yeah.. well- I used your laptop to look it up, and I saw you had an open tab. And I know I’m not supposed to snoop.. but I was just curious. Then I saw what they were and I thought.. well I guess I just thought they’d help.” I could see his cheeks flushing as he spoke. It was always easy to tell when Mitch was embarrassed or overthinking about something. “Maybe now you don’t have to leave the house all the time when I’m loud.”

“Aww.” I set the box aside and leaned forward, resting one of my hands on his knee. “Baby this means so much to me. You have no idea.” He smiled sheepishly.

“I looked at a few other pairs too, but the internet and a lot of other people with similar struggles said that- that these were what they recommended most. The headphones are supposed to be easy on your head, and they’re supposed to fit around your ears nicely so they don’t irritate or press on them too hard.” Mitch recalled all of this information like he’d been studying it for centuries. “Oh! And it’s made out of that material you love.”

Was it possible to fall any more in love with him?

I released a soft sigh at the sight of his complete devotion and excitement. My hand squeezed his knee.

“And they’re Bluetooth. But they come with a wire too, just in case you want to plug them in.” I nodded before reaching for the box again. I set it in my lap and leaned back against the couch. Mitch did the same.

“But the wire was a normal one, so I went ahead and bought an adapter to fit your phone too.” Was there anything he didn’t think of? “And I got the headphones in your favorite color.” Nope. He’d hit every single one of the bases.

“And-“ I cut Mitch off by swiftly slotting my lips against his own. I didn’t need him to continue explaining why he bought the headphones. I appreciated them, and I didn’t disapprove of the purchase. I was happy, that’s all he needed to know. When I pulled away, Mitch finally relaxed. His shoulders dropped, his eyes looked hazy. I smiled at my accomplishment.

“You wanna try ‘em out with me?” I asked as I worked on opening the box.

“Can’t share headphones, weirdo.” Mitch teased with a soft chuckle.

“You connect your phone first, and play me a good song.” I suggested as I carefully pulled the headphones out, as well as the directions.

It took us a solid five minutes to figure out how to turn them on. Once we did, we connected the set to Mitch’s phone, and I slipped them on.

“Make sure the volume is down.” I spoke, immediately surprised by how muffled my voice sounded. Mitch opened his music app, before I reached out and grabbed his arm. He looked at me worriedly.

“This may be the only time I ever ask you to do this.. but I want you to go to the other side of the house and yell.”

Mitch raised a brow at me.

“Why?”

“Because I think these are perfect.”

A smile lit up his face. Nothing made him happier than knowing he’d done well with something.

The headphones were perfect to live normally with Mitch. Perfect to slip on when his friends came over, or when he decided to work out. Maybe even perfect enough to help block out some of the noise at his games. Granted I’d still use a suite, but they just might work.

“Are you sure?” Mitch slowly stood up.

“Loudest yell you can. Okay? I want the neighbors to hear it.”

“They’re gonna think my dog died.”

“No, they’ll just assume their crazy neighbor is acting out again.” I assured him with a playful smile. Mitch glared at me, quick to try and defend himself before I waved my hands dismissively. “Go, go!”

I watched my boyfriend quickly leave the room, and I waited patiently for the sound of his voice. It never came, but my only indication that Mitch had yelled, was Zeus’ head lifting from the floor where he laid at one point, and quickly running off. I grabbed my phone to text Mitch to come closer. We played around for a while with how close he could get before I could hear him. Once he complained about his throat hurting, I beckoned him back to the couch and let him play some music while I leaned against his side.

I held Mitch’s phone in my hands, both of us looking for different songs to play. I had pulled one of the pieces off my ear to hear him as he spoke, occasionally pointing to a song.

“So.. you like them?” He finally asked at one point. I turned my head to press a kiss to his shoulder.

“They’re perfect. Thank you so much, Mitchell.” I whispered. “You do so much for me every day, and I don’t think I ever thank you enough.” When I lifted my head to look at him, Mitch shook his head.

“You really don’t have to. I do it because I love you.” We both smiled at one another.

“I love you too, Stitch.” He snorted out a laugh at the nickname. “You wanna try them on?” He gave a shrug before I pulled the headphones off and handed them over.

“I get to pick the music though.”

My Wishlist for the Next Animal Crossing

1. The water pump item should water flowers

Literally why can’t it??

2. You should be able to place shells as furniture items

This used to be such a cute way to decorate your house early game, I can’t understand why they got rid of this feature!

3. Bring back ugly furniture

Everyone’s houses look too nice in ACNH. I wish my house could be uglier.

4. A greater variety of dialogue/villager requests.

I know everyone’s complained before about villagers being too nice in ACNH, but I also miss how gossipy the villagers would be in older games. They were constantly spreading rumors about each other and it made the town feel more like a real community. I also miss the greater variety of villager requests, or at least the greater frequency of certain requests? I’ve noticed that in ACNH they most frequently ask to visit your house or vice versa. I only occasionally get requests to catch certain bugs and fish, return items, or play a game, which I find to be more fun than visiting houses.

5. Retail and Post Office should be on the island

Nobody likes having to travel to Harv’s Island whenever you want to customize something! Nobody likes it! I wish we either had Retail on the island or could customize all items using kits. I also just personally really miss the Post Office NPCs and would love to see them return. I found it much easier to write letters by buying a pack of paper you can keep in your pocket than by buying post cards individually at the airport.

Anyway, that’s my personal wishlist. ACNH did so much for the series and it’s slowly become my favorite entry in the series, but that doesn’t mean it’s without its flaws!
