So far, it's pretty good. I get an astonishing number of asks, and I feel bad that I cannot answer or address them all, but other than that, practically everyone has been lovely so far.

I have a bit of an odd relationship with fame. For much of my childhood, I idolised people who were famous, and dreamt of one day being famous, too. As I grew up, I met or interacted with more and more famous people, and later even got to know some very well. When you see it up close, it is often not desirable at all. It is in fact a huge strain on these people. And that's something I think we often forget; these are just people. Just apes wearing silly scraps of fabric and worrying about their families and their health, just like everyone else.

And so, I have no real interest in being famous, tumblr or otherwise. But I do enjoy having a wonderful, large, and continuously growing audience who revel in and enjoy the weird and wonderful creatures that I spend so much of my time thinking about, working on, and pursuing. I hope that it continues to grow! As I say, you have all been really lovely so far, and I could not find a better community on any other platform—of that I am sure! 🐸

hello anon - thank you for asking so kindly and no, I don't have a very special connection to Gaza. I'm a Chinese-Australian woman who's a second generation immigrant, and has lived in Australia her whole life. I was lucky enough to grow up comfortably, but my upbringing and education has made me pay a lot more attention to people less fortunate than me. I'm finally in a position where I think I can make a difference, however small, by using my platform to educate people and donating the money I can spare to humanitarian causes - that's all.

In saying that though - I never want to come off as someone who centers her own voice in a conflict that doesn't involve her. As a Chinese woman I have much less of a foot to stand on when it comes to educating people than someone who is Jewish or Israeli or Palestinian. I sincerely hope people just see me as a convenient avenue where they can access more educated people's perspectives.

Maybe it's underdog narrative idk. Like charles is constantly called spoiled, brat, whiny etc whenever he says ANYTHING that isn't super nice, while carlos can bitch as much as he want and barely gets called out

Fandom is always a bubble. I'd say the top two drivers in fandom are probably Charles, Max, and Lando because they're the ones that are popular with younger audiences. It's certainly not true outside. Sure, there's an RPF to fandom, but I think it's also worth noting as well if you're in F1 fandom, you're probably a more avid viewer of the sport than most casual fans, so things like Max's current domination are made more interesting by knowing the ins and outs of his journey, and it's easier to reject anti-Charles viewpoints because when you watch a drive like Suzuka in real time and look at the data afterwards, you understand why the past four WDCs think him generational, and why Carlos is a GOOD driver, indisputably, but has a deficit of skill in comparison to Charles which is masked with luck.

Also ultimately, it's a difference in what type of PR sells to different generations as well. Charles has carefully cultivated quite a strong parasocial relationship with a very loyal fanbase mainly comprising of the countries of Italy and Monaco and younger fans–he does this through playing into inside jokes online with his fans, making us feel like we have a 'special' understanding with him by liking certain tweets, or using certain emojis, or using pictures for his instagram that sneakily reflect a piece of online discourse that happened on a race weekend. Carlos has gone for the more traditional media approach of an underdog narrative to gain sympathy, but he doesn't have the same legion of loyal fans as Charles and makes no effort to build the same fan backchannels that Charles does, which is why I think that Charles, ultimately, will win the PR game. The support of traditional media is fickle, but the lecfosi would follow Charles into hell if asked. It's why Charles knows ventures like LEC or his music will succeed, wheras can the same be said for Carlos outside of Spain?

Does Boba have any family…?

I conceptualized a younger sibling for Boba once upon a time, but I never really stuck with her. I called her Taro T. as a placeholder name :)

I think they'd be a very "weird little girl (affectionate)" type character, taking over their older sibling's habits of dressing dark and listening to loud music. The type that wears pants until they're tattered, sits alone at lunch, carries a sketchbook wherever they go. I think she'd be middle school age (about 11-15) but tall for their age. Taro would be a reflection of what Boba looked and acted like at that age!

As for who Boba's parents would be, they don't really exist?? The closest I've ever come to designing parents for Boba would be having him speak to a disembodied voice over a phone.

But that's okay! Sometimes cartoon characters don't have parents. :)
