I feel like if Hanahaki disease was real in the House MD universe there’d be a whole episode about them treating a patient with it and they like lie or some shit about not telling so and so about their love or like the person they love is dead or something and so they try to cure them another way and the whole time House is like being a dick as always and making fun of them for it and like haha you won’t tell them you love them loser and then at the end of the episode the person the patient loves comes in at the last minute when the patient is on the brink of death and they confess and so the patient lives and gets a happy ending but then Wilson talks to House and says something like “the lengths people would go to to avoid rejection” and House would respond like “yeah these idiots would risk their lives just to not get their stupid feelings hurt” and then Wilson leaves and literally right after he’s gone House coughs up a few petals and barely reacts and just throws them into the trash or a fireplace or something and walks out into the hallway and the episode ends and it’s literally never brought up again

More Clone Wars things I think the DC Fandom should borrow: Clone Commanders (accidentally or intentionally) putting their interpersonal drama in the “All Hands” or “Priority” chat.

Bruce is standing on a rooftop in Gotham hitting decline, downgrade chat, downgrade chat, decline priority upgrade, decline, decline, decline and Jim Gordon is like “everything okay?” because that’s a lot of buzzing. Usually that many notifications means something’s on fire. And Bruce has to find a way to say “nothing is on fire, Jason saw Dick mess up a flip on patrol earlier and thought the entire family comms network should see the clip” without actually, you know, just saying that (thank god for grunts)

My perspective is largely irrelevant now because I went to a party school in the 00s like during peak "party school" culture but imho college should be just a little but fun, like exploring your independence and learning who you are and making new friends, etc. My favorite college memories involved just hanging out on a couch while my guy friends played Halo or playing beer pong at the chem frat on a Saturday afternoon. Like I feel that college has stopped being about freedom and learning to navigate such and has instead just become a bigger, more expensive version of high school, re: a cage in which you're forced to do things you hate to pursue goals you don't even necessarily understand. I actually blame parents and the currently very toxic trend of helicopter parenting young adults even into their 20s way more than I blame institutions, who I think have actually gone above and beyond to overcoddle students who are not properly prepared to experience life free of parental shackles, but that's just me. I taught at one of these institutions for thirteen years and I will tell you right now that as of the last 5 or so years, no one is letting the kids be free anymore. It's alarming and yes the mental health toll is high almost by design at this point :-/

i completely understand & agree with the backlash against students using chatgpt to get degrees but some of you are out here saying "getting a degree in xyz means pulling multiple consecutive all-nighters and writing essays through debilitating migraines and having severe back pain from constantly studying at your desk and chugging energy drinks until you get a kidney stone and waking up wishing you were dead every day, and that's just part of the natural process of learning!!!" and like. umm. i don't think that any of us should have had to endure that either. like maybe the solution for stopping students from using anti-learning software depends on college institutions making the process of learning actually sustainable on the human body & mind rather than a grueling health-destroying soul-crushing endeavor

possibly hot take, but if/when they resurrect bobby, i would love it they didn't have athena's reaction be anger (which imo makes sense and obviously angela bassett would eat that storyline). i'd love if she just got to be happy lmao and maybe consider a career change. what i'd love to see is if BUCK is angry when bobby comes back. because bobby MADE him leave. buck took eddie wondering if he (eddie) could have done anything to save bobby, is because buck didn't. he didn't do everything he could to save bobby! bobby asked him not to! he asked buck to be strong, to take care of his team, and to let bobby have time with his wife. and we've seen how much buck is struggling, so imagine the ANGST if bobby comes back and instead of uncomplicated relief to have him back, buck is struggling to forgive him. for leaving, for telling buck to respect his wishes and let him die, for putting the weight of the team on his shoulders (in buck's mind). the angst!! there hasn't been a buck-bobby conflict since the lawsuit really, but they have such a good dynamic and its SOOO good and compelling to watch it come under pressure. also chim could be brought in as a parallel, given his anger with bobby pre-resurrection but i feel like given maddie and his kids it's harder for him to hold his anger once bobby is back (or give me a full buck chim storyline where they bond in a weirdly toxic way over bobby coming back, that would SLAP). ALSO!!! wouldn't it be convenient if there was another recent complicated father-son conflict that the show never fully resolved?? wouldn't it be interesting if there was someone who could relate to buck feeling betrayed by his father's actions?? or a father who could relate to bobby's catholic upbringing and sense of guilt over his son specifically, even though he never meant to hurt him?? wouldn't that be crazy
