Why do I really fw the idea of James and Remus being childhood bestfriends? Like okay, sure, I LOVE Sirius’s and James’s relationship but what if we have that same dynamic to him and Remus?

But every time Remus gets a little too quiet or just retreats to the back of the room, James goes up to him and stays with him until he says what the problem is.

Hi! You sent this like over a week ago and I've been struggling to think of an adequate answer, mostly because I've been spending ALL my mental energy on finishing the sequel to Disarm, which is their cute lil Christmas together. (If you consider absolute gutter filth to be cute, that is.)

The good news is, the sequel is now written! I'm planning to start posting in early November, to give my beautifully supportive beta/muse/bestie @sadbookboys time to wade through what is likely to be a grammatical and structural shitshow. The thing is over 50k words, and there's SO MUCH PORN. 

So here's just a little detail to lead us into the 13 days of Christmas (and check here for an actual snippet if you're interested!)

Remus started buying Christmas gifts for Sirius the day after their first kiss. They hadn't discussed Christmas yet, they hadn't even had sex, but Remus was consumed by the urge to buy Sirius something pretty, and he was going to make sure he could see him over the holidays, even if it was just long enough to give him a present. And then another day went by, and he bought something else. And then again, and again, and again… when it comes to his baby, Remus has more money than sense. He's never wanted to spoil someone before, and he doesn't see any reason to limit himself when he can afford it and Sirius clearly deserves it. So he had about a dozen presents already purchased before he asked Sirius if he wanted to spend Christmas together. And then Sirius said yes, and Remus went out and bought like six more things. He got a bunch of them wrapped at the mall, and hastily shoved the rest into gift bags and piled them all into a guest room closet where he knew they'd be safe from Rieka's scrutiny.

Sirius, on the other hand, has never actually celebrated Christmas, not in any real way. The Blacks would go to mass on Christmas Eve, and his parents would have a horrible, stuffy party for their horrible, stuffy friends, and Sirius and Regulus were forced to wear ill-fitting suits and stand in the corner being seen and not heard. And those are the positive Christmas memories. If he managed to skate through it completely ignored, it was a win. So Remus asking to spend the holidays with him came completely out of left field, and when Remus says he wants to spoil him, all Sirius is expecting is like, home cooked meals and lots of sex. (He's going to get those things too, he's just also going to get an absolutely disgusting number of extravagant gifts to go with it.)

so i was trying to avoid posting any anons regarding prev fandom discourse but i opened this one and read it through and it was just so amazing i had to respond, not just in tags 🥹🥹

blue ( @wastelandbabyblue ) is literally one of the coolest people i've ever known while also being one of the kindest and funniest. id literally kill to meet her one day in person. i still keep up with brenda and several others i met in her og discord, some of which are the only remaining 1d fandom blogs i still follow here - they are so kind and funny and i still talk to them occasionally in a fandom discord i stayed in because i didn't want to lose touch with them.

we talk everyday still even though we live all over the world and we talk about nearly everything except fandom nowadays and they've helped me survive living day to day through some of the worst moments of my life. i don't know what i'd do if i didn't have them in my life

last night, i had a bit of a shame spiral thinking about all the time energy money i devoted to the 1d fandom. i felt embarrassed for being so loud about something that ended in so much disappointment. it wasn't fun and i know it was probably triggered by being involved in some discussions i hadn't been in so long

so when i opened this ask, anon, it reminded me so much that whatever was lost from that time, so much more was gained. the embarrassment of remembering dancing around like a fool with a rainbow flag for someone who couldn't even say something as simple as "look at all those colors" pales in comparison to the lifelong friendship i gained with these 8 beautiful women all across the globe

nothing will ever compare to the people i met and the way they feel closer to family than any of my blood ever felt

i'm glad that you found so much goodness as well and thank you for reminding me that it was all worth it for what i got

Let's talk about this blog

Out of the last 8 fics I've released, I've only gotten 64 reblogs, with the average being 8 per fic, and the most having 18 out of 178 notes.

No wonder my blog is dying.

One of my most popular fics recently hit 4k notes. Out of those notes, 224 are reblogs. Which is only 5.5% of the total notes.

For some fandoms I would release fics that used to get 100+ notes in less than 24 hours, its now taking them 3 days at minimum to reach that. Fandoms that used to get 200 notes in a week now barely reach 60 in two. And most of the notes are likes anyways.

My average notes per month on my blog at one point was 2k+, then dropped to be around, or just over 1k and now I barely hit 400 notes in a month and over 70% are always likes.

My followers are continuing to grow, but my blog is continuing to die.

And people really wonder why writers suddenly or slowly disappear off of tumblr.

Now, I HATE being one to complain. I get annoyed at myself. I try to resist reblogging every writers rant about reblogs and interaction. Because I'm the one who decided to start writing, I'm the one who decided to start releasing content.

But, I loved the community of writers on here, so when I started writing I became a lot happier than I was. And I often used tumblr as a place to escape my life, and I still do. I would and still do relish in the comments, reblogs, asks, messages etc, that I would get from followers and readers.

I used to be able to log on and spend a long time reading reblogs, comments, messages, etc. Now I log on each morning and have almost none.

And now I practically have to beg for any at all, and that almost never works now anyways.

Tumblr is becoming less of a place to escape and find motivation, and more of a place to just kill my boredom.

I'm not going to stop writing, at least I hope not. I still have over a dozen requests I would love to write and release, even if barely anyone reads them. Because even though people don't seem to care about my writing, I do, so I will continue to write as long as I still get joy out of it.

But if you really want writers on tumblr to keep creating things you apparently love so much. At least give back a little.

OMG… THANK YOU FOR ASKING 🤭🤭🤭 i’ll literally kill for you thx for fueling my self indulgence xx anyway basically im picturing it like belobog’s overworld being a seaside kingdom (the landau family being royalty with gepard as prince) and the underworld being like boulder town ocean city idk. anyway. locals have recently reported “sea monster” sightings by the docks, that being sampo stealing valuables to bring back down either to sell at ten times it’s worth or give away to nat or the kids, normal sampo behavior and whatever. So gepard, being more of a silvermane guard and less of an active royal ruler at the moment, starts keeping a closer watch of the shore to keep the people feeling a bit safer, not thinking anything of it really, since “sea monsters aren’t real and can’t hurt anybody 🤓☝️” but whatever helps his people sleep at night. to his surprise, he spots an unusually large looking fish swim off with some cargo while he’s keeping watch, and starts to believe there really is something in the waters.

Being more prepared next shift, he sets up bait (expensive jewelry he stole from serval, she’ll thank him later) at the edge of one of the docks, with a sailboat ready to follow as soon as soon as it takes the bait. Unfortunately for him, the little pile of treasures isn’t taken until it’s already nighttime, so his tracking abilities are already sabotaged. But he is a Landau, and he’s too stubborn to wait any longer, so he sets off after it. late night light rain follows shortly, but he’s too far out to turn back now, and the harsh winds will help him to catch up faster. Rain turns to storms, and the winds and deep waters become too much for the little sailboat he took out. He tips over, and struggling to resurface from the crashing waves, gets pushed into that steering part of the sailboat (idfk what they’re called the ones at the bottom or whatever) and knocks himself out.

As for sampo, he’d been keeping a close eye on the boat once he realized he was being followed, and quickly swam up to keep the sailor above the waves. Awkwardly swimming half above water with the man in his arms, he takes him to the closest shoreline he can find as the storm dies down. Gepard wakes up hours later, with an unfamiliar pair of sea green eyes staring down at him. Insert my recent post here. When he wakes up again, it’s from the many guards sent out as a search party to find him, the man he met nowhere to be found. Had it not been for the pretty blue seashell placed carefully in his hands, he would have been convinced he was dreaming. It would be nice if he could have his sister’s jewelry back, but the seashell was cool too i guess.

Knowing no one’s gonna believe him, he claims he lost the creature early on, and sailed to the nearest island to wait out the storm. He just assumes he’ll never sea (:3) his savior again, but obviously im not gonna let that happen as there’s more plot to come.

I like the idea of mermaids having a human form to use at free will, so I’m thinking sampo has to get creative now that his regular boat stealing spot is swarming with guards after rescuing that pretty blonde days ago. Apparently, he’s a pretty important royal figure, so it’s not like he’ll see him around town if he starts doing his thieving on land. Now he can even scam humans too, it’s a win-win. Of course, he doesn’t know gepard is associated with the guards. I just want gepard to start chasing after the con man everyone’s been reporting, only to come face to face with those deep green eyes again, and the necklace of his beloved older sister around his neck.

I’m still thinking about what comes next, but I have a basic idea of what I want to happen. Nothings really set in stone since it’s all just ideas and brainrot atm but I’m having a great time coming up with every new thing 🤭

Unfortunately there is no fic for this since I just made it up for my own self indulgence, and the tags were referencing a different work from a fic i’ve been reading for awhile. I would write this au no hesitation if I could write, but I’m not the best writer and have to either ramble or draw the ideas/brainrot that pops in my mind. If anyone makes a fic like this/someone makes a sampard mermaid fic in general i’ll die for you though 😇

Impressive anon here again!

I’ve just been going through a mini crisis over here and I didn’t think to come here and rant bc I usually use this to talk about gender identity and other crisis’. But this is affecting my sleep now so I shall burden you once more with a new issue ..

So today’s little problem is about a possible crush. I think I have a crush. Yes I know pretty sad of me to be this old and to have never been in a relationship so I don’t even know if this is a crush. But, that’s besides the point.

So, I met this girl at work a couple weeks ago and I was like training her. Side note — I’m a really awkward person but being around her was somewhat easy? Anyway ever since that day, every time I see her we make effort to say hello to eachother (yes I know that’s bare minimum but for me it’s a lot) she even asked me a question about if my skin gets irritated bc my job has reason for her to ask that 😭.

Anyway, today I trained her again — and I had to literally resist the urge to tell her that she is very pretty. And that her voice is so soothing. I mean obviously I wouldn’t say that bc firstly, I hardly know her, secondly, I have no idea if she is straight or not or if she has a partner or anything! And lastly bc I am an idiot and when she asked how she was going I said DECENT! DECENT? I should have said something better than decent???

Ok now my crisis is mainly that idk if this is a crush or not, mainly bc I’ve never really had one… and like what do I do if this is a crush?? And how would I know if she is into me as well? And fuck this is too much :’(

I apologise in advance for this outburst haha as I said I wasn’t going to come on here and rant but I need advice and my friends are all busy and my family would kill me if they knew I might be crushing on a girl so this is really the only place I could come to for this..

She’s new at your job, I’m sure she wants to at least make friends. Follow her on instagram, ask for her number to text about open shifts. Get to know her as a friend! I think after you do that, you’ll be able to figure out how you feel- and you’ll have time to catch hints about how she feels.

And as far as your family, I’m so sorry. It sucks that they aren’t supportive. But I support you and we’ll figure this out as we go ❤️

1. Rod’s inability to shut up about how ridiculous the costumes are.. love it

2. Some good points by Tracey on picking good skating technique from bad- easy to understand language for dummies like me

3. The unbelievable level of C R I N G E (ie the Russians and the Bulgarians)

4. The absolute JOKE that is ice dance judging. This was a particularly bad instance. Rod and Tracey are livid and for everyone who whinges about Rod’s commentary.. he actually does at least seem to know what he’s talking about- not to the detail that Tracey does but he knows good from bad. This was particularly interesting today (idk why I did this to myself) but I watched the same competition but with the ABC commentary and the technical knowledge comparison between Susie Wynn and Tracey is light years- I don’t always like the way Tracey commentates but I really appreciate her insight.. Susie sounds like she doesn’t knows what she was talking about- descriptions are so vague.

So anyway, give it a watch if you feel so inclined.. I find it very amusing and ironic that some things haven’t changed.. also just how tf (sorry, I’m swearing a lot) it was thought that you could judge as much detail as there is in this sport- split hairs between teams using a system like the 6.0.. I have a post coming out soon where I get a bit more into that.

It’s also fascinating applying some of the (lack of) logic for scoring teams here in 2002, to some of the insane (albeit better covered up) judging VM were up against through their career, even with a new system.

Umh I’m staring a new school, bc my mental health is shit and I cant be in a mainstream school anymore, but im stressed tf out. They dont allow phones (the schools mostly known for behaviour and phones get stolen apparently), but they allow MP3 players, so I got an MP3 player bc my brother threw away his awhile ago (fuck him fr/j), and it didnt fucking work. So we went to the store to get another one instead of ordering online, and it works, but idk how to download music, so my brother was gonna help me; guess where this mf is right now? Mf is an hour away from me, drinking with his friends 😡 doesn’t even know when he’s coming home.

I haven’t been in a school since last September, but i haven’t had a proper day in school since fucking June last yr or some shit. I literally SOBBED b4, I’m so stressed. The uniform feels TERRIBLE, I’m in a year below class bc they have no fucking room in the year im actually in, and the class is all girls😟 (Not saying girls are bad, js makes me feel kinda dysphoric🤗) ALSO. These fuckers want me to walk jn BY MYSELF and talk to reception, like no ty. I hwven’t met these bitches, I’m not talking to them.

Anyways I’m so sleepy that I’m seeing things, and hearing things, and I’m getting kinda delusional and the intrusive thoughts r here‼️‼️ thats so fun😍😍
