small things i've been turning in my head like a microwave: when the dca is rebooted, the eye representing moon remains red just as sun's stays yellow. i know we all love pre-virus blue-eyed moon, but i think that detail cements that moon has always had red eyes

also, while there's still room for interpretation, i think the dlc heavily supports the shared headspace headcanon. sun is trapped in their head, but he’s hands down the most aware of their situation between them. moon screams at him that his plan won't work, for sun to take his nap. they both refer to themselves as "us" and "we" multiple times. and, most importantly, there's the jumpscare with the classic fanon moment of sun's rays popping out that moon hastily shoves back in--sun is aware enough of their surroundings despite being inactive that he tries (and fails) to stop him

"happy wife, happy life" "i'm gonna get us home"

these two lines happening in the wilderness timeline in the same episode where taissa finally starts to listen to the wilderness / address some of the things she's been avoiding ( while actively still pretending that she doesn't actually believe in it, that she's just doing it to make van happy, until akilah rationalizes it for her. )

last season, she insisted that she was going to lead them out of the wilderness and was willing to take such big risks to get them the fuck out of there. and now she's casually dropping mentions of the cabin being their home and van being her wife -- simple in the way that if she was back in civilization, she couldn't even proclaim van as her girlfriend, but here, it's like they're married, it's simple to fall into that role, it's normal now. the cabin is their home, that's normal. van is her wife, that's normal. except neither of those things are normal and yet claiming both of them is some subtle suggestion that she is no longer thinking about getting home as prominently as she thought about it those first few months. she is starting to accept what this is -- ultimately still wanting to get out of there, obviously, but the casual mention of 'home' specifically is something she would've been adamantly against months ago.

#i’ve been thinking abt that cringe post #i think the latent feelings behind ‘cringe’ are shame and sometimes envy/bitterness #same vibes as when six year olds say ‘those toys are for babies’ if they’ve been shamed for their age by older kids #anyway. i think part of the healing process is realizing that shame puts you at war with yourself bc part of yourself is a social being!#and that part of you wants community and acceptance (maybe love). shame is the absence of acceptance #unlearning shame means learning self-love and gaining the confidence to find your people #jerma #cw jerma #(someone asked me to tag lol)

If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)

At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.

Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.

#i think about this story sometimes like yeah I'm proud of them for that too actually. good job baby brothers #they're not babies anymore of course they're turning 20 next year which is crazy #but they're still the type of people who'd do something if they saw something of this sort happen for sure #respectful of women and everyone else too. they're good guys #I'm glad I ended up with them living in my house against my will for like 14 years #anyway i have no idea where i was for all this but my best guess is probably a friends house given the time period #i was always at my besties house lol #i hope she's doing well too actually. haven't spoken in forever...#bestie from greek elementary school... if you're out there... let's get muffins and fanta at the bakery across the street again someday 💜☮️

today in church one of the priests referred to trans people as "those who are growing into the gender they were called to be" and i'm kind of enjoying the idea of like....divinely ordained top surgery
