Surprise gifts

My bestie A and I regularly update each other with about our daily plan for affirming etc to keep each other accountable. I said I was manifesting VIP treatment, put on some subs and affirmed while I was making breakfast (yes I’m not a morning person and make breakfast at nearly noon 😭)

Not even a half hour later, I received a surprise delivery from Amazon:

My friend L, who lives out of state, sent me food and new bowls for the stray cats I feed, and treats for my cats (Stella & Panini are my cats’ names 😹)

VIP treatment

That evening I worked a brand ambassador gig that I booked only a couple days before. I’ve been avoiding working as much as possible lately lol but this one was nearby and paid well. It happened to be a giveaway event partnering with a local radio station and ended up being fun. One of the radio DJs was there, and me as the sponsor brand representative was given the same level of VIP treatment as the radio DJ! There was an event coordinator who basically did all the work and I just got to stand around looking pretty and getting paid for it. 😭

After work I got home and found another package from my friend L with a gift card for me 💕

More cat food

A few days later, my neighbor left a huge box of cat food at my door. My cats are getting more spoiled than me 😂

An air fryer

This one is cool because I specifically wanted to manifest this. I had heard about air fryers for a while now and it seemed like something I would use, but I didn’t really feel the need to buy one. A couple weeks ago I was at Trader Joe’s with my mom and the cashier was saying how much he loooved his air fryer and telling me all the things I could make with it. I decided that moment I would just manifest one eventually, and forgot about it.

So the other day my mom comes to pick me up for a family lunch and she has a huge box in her hands - an air fryer?? She says jokingly “happy birthday” - my birthday isn’t for another 4 months! She said she just felt like I needed one 🤷🏻‍♀️

Soo I have this crush-type guy we’ll call D. He’s one of my best friends and we’ve talked nearly every day for 3 years. I can talk to him about anything, including all things supernatural and shifting. We have admitted to having feelings for each other, and even had “online boyfriend” vibes for a while, but we live in different states, and he didn’t want to do long distance. I was sad and anxious about it for a while, but since I found out about loa and shifting, I realized none of it mattered and I could just shift to a reality where we’re together already 😂

Anyway I had become detached and stopped really thinking about him in a romantic way for a while. However, I realized since I basically didn’t care and wasn’t thinking about him, he was becoming distant in response. We hadn’t been really flirty or romantic in a few months, and I hadn’t even talked to him in a week, which was unusual. Although I wasn’t anxious about it or anything, I was still missing talking to one of my best friends. So I just started assuming he would go back to blowing up my phone all day, and I sent him some mental telepathy messages about what I wanted.

Monday morning he messaged me apologizing for being distant. He had been traveling for spring vacation and took a break from his phone. He then basically spent the whole week trying to make up for it, being super attentive, listening to my long ramblings about my void and shifting progress, sending me selfies every day, being more sweet and romantic than he had been in months, and kept telling me how pretty I was 🥰

There were some days when you were happy to return to an empty apartment. The quiet made for a serene environment after a long day enduring the nightmarish setting of school. The peace of being alone (with the exception of Sergio) allowed you to recharge. But today, all you wanted was your mom; your mom who was chasing down serial killers and saving the world.

Sergio seemed to pick up on your emotions, curling up on your lap as soon as you sat down on the couch. He purred softly, soothing the tension in your body.

"Thanks bud," you told him. You picked up your phone to text your mom.

To Badass Mama: Hey. Any updates on when you'll be home?

A heavy sigh left your body as you put your phone beside you. You allowed yourself a moment of rest to close your eyes and lean your head against the back of the couch. This lasted for only a second; the vibration of your phone disturbing the moment. Your chest relaxed when you saw it was your mom calling.

"Hey mom." You tried to sound chipper.

"Hey kiddo, what's wrong?"

You considered lying to her for a brief second before thinking better of it. There was no point in trying to hide the truth from a profiler, much less a profiler who was also your mother.

"I- um-" a lump formed in your throat as all the pent up energy from the day began to surface. "I just had a day."

Emily’s voice was soft and calming. "I wish I could be home with you," she said. You both knew she couldn't. "Do you want to sit on the phone for a little?"

"Yeah." It came out as a whisper. Sitting on the phone in silence was something you and your mom had done since you were little - a way to feel more together when you had to be apart. The silence on the line was familiar in the most comforting way. Every once in a while you'd hear the wisp of paper moving or chair legs scraping against old floors. You were sure that the few times Sergio sniffed your phone made your mom smile.

And then her name was being called by someone in the distance. The moment of calm comfort between the two of you was over.

Emily didn't bother apologizing. She knew it wouldn't make a difference anyway.

"I love you," she said instead.

"I love you too, mom."

The call ended and you allowed yourself to be suspended in the feelings of safety that those short minutes had given you. The stress from the day left your limbs slowly, your heartbeat became slower - more steady - allowing you to drift into a much-needed sleep.

A few hours later, you'd wake up to a text message from your mom, asking you if it would be okay for your Aunt Penelope to visit tonight. It was an invitation you'd gladly accept. Even when your mom couldn't give you a hug after a hard day she would make sure you got one from somebody safe and loving.

i mean … it sure is easy to assume how he feels about jade based on the way he talks to her and when his sprite only ever smiles one other time in the entire fucking comic and the reality of that other one was arguable since it was during [S] Karkat: Mental breakdown and its likely karkat was hallucinating it based on the content and context of the flash

nah this one was real. and it was from the first conversation we saw between dave and jade in the comic and thus set the standard for their dynamic. and remember old school 2009 dave was kind of a menace so it says a lot

this girl was special enough to him to warrant that pixel

jade calling dave a “huge baby” for him getting nervous about a piss while she’s his server player. he makes such a big deal about it while shes like oh my god just go:

i know pesterquest isn’t “canon” canon but it passes my character essence check and still contributes something of substance to my argument. like i can say this is not at all out of place if these characters were plopped into these scenarios. remember this takes place on the same day as the above, 4/13/2009. theyre the same age as above and have the same relationship as they did above, just in a different scenario that wasn’t possible in canon wherein they didn’t play sburb

Jade's next laugh verges on hysterical and she's got tears streaked down her cheeks. Dave looks a little perturbed. DAVE: wow holy shit uh DAVE: its cool jade no need to get so DAVE: like this DAVE: kind of fucks me up seeing you cry DAVE: not that im trying to make this all about me DAVE: i mean uh

and so after mspa reader’s intervention, who do we see with jade the next time we see her?

DAVE: okay so lets see what we got here Jade's room is bright and cheery, fresh flowers in the hanging pots, curtains pulled open wide to let in the afternoon sunlight. Jade sits on her bed while Dave paces in front of a line of squiddle toys, carefully assembled in neat ranks. DAVE: this blue one is clearly in charge look at his dominant posture DAVE: also hes the only motherfucker not tentacle deep in his homie DAVE: hes an untangled buddy that is some shit really cuts to the core of like DAVE: DAVE: emotions JADE: its actually because the magnets in him are messed up, and always have been!! DAVE: harley you are ruining the magic come on

basically what im putting together is that dave was REALLY fixin to spend some time with jade. extending into her sphere of interests that he doesnt express much with anyone else; you can tell he really wanted to engage with her in a less irony poisoned way. he’s softer with her than his other friends and god forbid the trolls, he is much less skeptical about things when talking to her (he even questions why he just seems to go along with her eccentric precognitive statements but he doesnt change his attitude about it), he showers her with his music and raps to the point where jade is expectant of getting poetry from him. rap IS poetry. please realize that dave is sending her his poetry, regardless of how goofy it may be. this is the level on which im viewing this at and once you realize this theres no going back. there comes a time in every homestuck’s life where they have to see how dave interacted jade and conclude that he had a cute little puppy crush on her unbeknownst to either of them. and it was adorable. and now, in the year 2023, it’s your time to realize this too. no going back.

Would you guys be up for a crossover with cop!harry and ghost!harry?

Soo… I am bringing back ghost!harry for a spooky Halloween check-in with our evil pair and at the end of the check-in police will be involved (tbd when it’ll be posted but closer to Halloween).

But for next week's cop!harry update I had the idea to have Harry responding to a call and needing to check out the scene so he goes in alone. The cop!harry update will give a few spoilers for what you can expect with the Halloween ghost!harry one shot.

I don't want to give too much away but I wondered if you guys like this idea? I'll probably do it anyway because I've already starting writing it 🤭

Ok so I have this idea for a Gravityfalls au and I'm a little obsessed with the idea right now so let me know if anyone wants to hear more about it 😖

ANYWAY HERE IT IS, ENJOY WHILE I WORK ON HOMEWORK!!!!

Basically, it's an au where Dipper and Mabel get kicked out at sixteen by their stepmom(?) and end up walking around before ending up in front of a house where Emma-May Dixion (Fiddleford's ex/Tates mom) lives.

She takes them in and she calls Tate down from GravityFalls to help her find a place for these two kids and he recognizes the two from when they spent a couple summers down in GravityFalls, so he says he'll take them there so they can stay with their great uncles.

Obviously, the twins are like excited and happy to go to GravityFalls to see their grunkles, and so Tate does as he said, promising his mom he'll keep her updated.

Over the journey back to Oregon, they all sorta bond, and it's nice even though Dipper is tense and very guarded while Mabel is just happy to go to a proper home. When they arrive the twins are greeted by worried grunkles and questions by their friends on why they're back in the fall instead of the summer, they don't say much but enough to let them know it wasn't good.

During the course of the twins settling in the shack, it's really complicated. Now that soos and his grandmother are living in the shack and Ford and Stan as well, it's incredibly crowded. Especially with Fiddleford coming around at times, mostly to check on the younger twins, but still.

Mabel eventually feels pretty good after a couple of days, but Dipper, on the other hand, is super tense and quiet. The only person who can get him to answer a question or to talk is Mabel, and it's really awkward for everyone in the house who isn't used to Dipper being so..different.

Later on, the Mcguckets and Pines make a small outing plan in celebration of the twins being safe and everything going well.

They end up hanging out by the lake where Tate works, and Dipper separates himself from the group because it's all just too much for him.

Dippers, too, in his head to realize Tate is sitting next to him, and when he does, he jumps and sort of just watches him from the corner of his eye.

The two make small talk, which soon morphs into them talking about family and fathers and all kinds of things. It doesn't take long for Tate to get attached to the two twins, they're really great kids.

Soon enough the conversation of how the grunkles most likely cannot be their legal gaurdians comes up and the twins are like devastated, but here comes Tate suggesting he could take em in.

Mostly because if he does, they'd still be related if Fiddleford and Stan are together. So really it's not a bad plan at all, Mabel is loving it because she honestly loves spending time with the man and she thinks it'd be nice to get him as a dad and be able to call Fiddleford grandpa.

Dipper, though, freaks out. Internally of course because he doesn't want to bring his sister down but he's secretly terrified because yeah Tate is a cool guy and he's super nice and his dad is also cool but at the same time he kinda barely knows the guy and he hates the idea of some guy just taking him and his sister away from his grunkles.

Like yeah he knows Tate will most likely let them see their grunkles but he's also terrified because he's started to like Tate and he's caught himself a few times thinking of what it'd be like to have him as a dad but he pushed the thought away as soon as it came.

It's not like he was scared that when Tate does adopt them and legally gets to be their father and all that, hell regret it. Dipper knows he's stubborn, knows he lashes out when he's upset, how he assumes the worst in almost any scenario, how he can't do anything like his sister.

Dipper knows that once Tate takes them in, he'll see how Mabel is the better twin, and he'll kick Dipper out and then never want to see him again. But no, Dipper is not scared of any of that. Whatsoever.

It takes a couple of fights and a few breakdowns, but they get there, Tate adopts the twins and makes them official McGuckets.

They all celebrate with a small party and it's a little rough, Dipper hasn't called Tate dad yet but that's ok because Tate is a patient man and he knows it's a hard transition anyway.

But when the time comes when Dipper finally calls Tate "dad," he most certainly doesn't cry.

charater dumping (PT 1)

Soo.....it's summer for me now (YIPPE!)

Imma share some old and now updated charaters of mine that I'm going to use in a new rp with my rp group!

Note: before I can show you the characters, I'll need to explain the plot their in.

This takes place in the MHA (my hero academia) universe. However, being a hero is not the center on the story. In fact, besides pro heros, I'm pretty sure that's all these charaters have related with the setting

Continuing on, during this time, Japan was separated into two: the poor and the rich. They hated each other's guts.

Until one day, the rich open up a fight club, and gather the most powerful pro heros from the poor and rich side and make them fight to the death. If the rich side wins, the rich will publicly execute some of the poor people. If the poor people win, then they live for another day!

Okay, yall understand the basics of it. (If u guys have any questions about the plot feel free to ask.

Anyway, introducing the characters that will be featured in my future rp I'm doing!

MIZUKI YAMADA

Mizuki is on the rich people side, as she is part of a rich family.

Absolute adrenaline junkie. She's not actually supposed to go down to the fight club, but since she can't participate in it, she likes to watch

Mizuki's Quirk, Burst of Rage (B.O.R for short) uses her blood, Mizuki has blood colored fingertips because of her Quirk

Amoung the rich side of Japan, people label Mizuki as rather too boyish for a lady. As Mizuki is loud, outspoken, and brutally honest, she's herself, and she will not apologize for it.

Mizuki does have a twin sister! However, Mizuki has more darker eyes and has streaks in her hair unlike her sister.

HANAKO YAMADA

This here is Hanako, Mizuki's twin!

Again, like Mizuki, Hanako is on the rich side of Japan

Hanako's Quirk E.O.R (eyes of Reflection) mainly needs Hanako's eyes to work. Because of this, this has lead Hanako to be partially blind

Hanako Is treated more like a fragile object than a teenage girl in the rich sociery, which she hates. Hanako understands that she may need help considering she's partially blind, but that didn't mean the other rich people should treat her differently

Depsite looking quite shy, Hanako is actually pretty laid back and empathetic, she's willing to listen out to anyone, even the poor which she has been prohibited to talk to. Think of Wendy from gravity falls, Hanako is like her

The main reason Hanako goes to the fight club with Mizuki is because she wants to feel what chaos and danger was like, how it felt, and why her twin was a absolute junkie for it. Due to her Quirk, Hanako was sheltered, but she dosent want to be anymore

SARA ITSUKI

This here, is Sara. She is one of the two main announcers of the fight club

To explain the announcers there's two announcers. One announcer represents the Rich side, one represents the poor. Sara here, is the announcer that represents the poor side.

Sara dosent take excuses for answers, she works proficiently and quickly, as she wants to do all that she can so the poor people won't get executed. So if that means hyping up the crowd, she'll do it.

Sara is basically black cat energy. She's quiet, she's stealthy, and dosent show emotion much, but she's got a kind heart once you get through to her.

Sadly, Sara is extremely judgemental. She believes that the all the rich are monsters, finding joy in pubically executing people just as innocent as them. And Sara is extremely stubborn, so she dosent just change her opinion easily. Hopefully charater Development comes her way

Sara's Quirk, Echolocation, makes Sara able to use sound to see through walls to find others or to check or injuries. So whenever a pro hero is hurt, Sara uses her Quirk to see any long lasting damages.

The comic post is so relatable. Comics have been there with me for most of my life. Before I started using RSS I had a calendar that I would up update schedules on for comics and I would check them all day during school between classes until they finally updated... getting an RSS reader took some of that fun out of it but its soo much easier now. Currently I have about 120 webcomics in my feed. Some of them finished, most are on hiatus/dead. But I don't get rid of them, just in case they update again. I feel like comics have grown up with me, and thats amazing. Also watching art improve overtime is amazing with webcomics. Anyways, thats my piece, very agreed comics are the best.

Fuck yeah webcomics are awesome. I don't follow a ton atm but I love to read them and I especially love to make them. I wanna try to read more but I get weird exec dysfunction when it comes into getting anything new, makes it such a chore sadly.

I burst into tears at the flashback wherer MC went to NYU and Qiu stayed back in Singapore, while listening to All Too Well. Literally crying for a good five minutes, not lying at all.

Specifically, at this part “You learned to live with a Qiu-shaped hole in your life, until one day, you no longer noticed it anymore.” Gosh, that’s just beautiful and bittersweet.

Does Qiu know MC comes back or have they follow us secretly on social media or anything? My MC won’t come to the reunion but I just wanna know does Qiu expect MC to be there? How do they feel when MC did not show up?

Sorry, if it’s spoiled thou. I just have soo many questions for Qiu. Anyway, gonna keep playing now 🥲

BESTIE IM SOOSOSOSOSOS HAPPY POYT IS OUT but idk i couldn’t shake the feeling that i was reading a different fic, everyone was super OOC like omega being more brazen and yelling, i always imagined omega as more of the silent type and homegirl was BOLD, steve was just soo different..he was kinda giving manchild and pathetic and just different and i mean poyt!steve is a MANCHILD but idk they just didnt hit the same. It was the ending i expected and was glad that omega got her happy ending but i just wanted angst honestly. I expected peter to take her away and steve just like find them somehow, idk it felt like i was reading a different story, were you perhaps influenced by other characters because they felt a bit off…Anyway it was long and really happy 5 is out! SO SAD TO SEE POYT COMING TO AN END😭 AAH I MISS IT ALREADY, i feel like poyt 3 was like my fav chapter of the whole series, it just slapped and you’re a fantastic writer and i hope this message didn’t offend you in anyway! I just wanted to tell you my opinion, I CHECKED UR ACC EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR A POYT UPDATE(not joking 100% serious)

Oof. So when I first read this comment about a week ago, I was pretty upset and hurt by it. Again, I feel like it is very tactless to say this to someone who spent so long writing something and was so nervous about it being posted.

But okay, let’s get into it then…

1) you felt like it was out of character that omega was being “bold” by being brazen and yelling bc you imagined her as more of the silent type. Okay. So you just wanted to read almost 40k words of her being shy and stuttering and having absolutely no growth while the worst things in life happened to her and everyone just walked all over her? You wanted absolutely no character growth? You wanted her to just remain quiet and docile and never be comfortable. You didn’t want her to stand up for herself when this madman Bucky is about to SA her? You wanted her to remain all bashful and shy and quiet and not show any emotion when she found out her mother left her? Okay then… Look, I’m a very quiet person but sometimes when I’m pushed so far, I WILL react. I think it’s extremely weird of you to think someone would just remain shy and docile forever when such terrible things are happening to her. It’s like… what exactly did you want to read??? You didn’t want her to react to anything?? All that being said, I feel like she still WAS shy in the moments that weren’t her mom leaving or the confrontation with Bucky. Like she literally still is shy, it’s only when she’s being pushed to the limit that she reacts like almost anyone else in her position would. Do you think shy people don’t yell? I’m really confused…. Because omega has lashed out in the other parts too. In POYT 4, and POYT 3 and even in POYT 2. So… idec what you mean by that being OOC.

2) Steve being a “manchild” Girl… idk WHAT fic you were reading before POYT 5 bc Steve has ALWAYS given manchild vibes. Like always. But I think I know what you mean. It seems like you didn’t like that big strong tough alpha Steve was acting “pathetic” and having panic attacks. Because God forbid someone make their characters react different to different things and God forbid someone make their characters multi-faceted, right? I’m sorry it “didn’t hit the same” for you, but I don’t know what you thought you’d achieve by telling me this. I’m proud of how i characterised Steve, and many have told me his progression was realistic and the panic attack made sense. Steve has always been all over the place with his emotions, ever since POYT 4.

3) i literally cannot believe how you’ve actually sent me this and I will not be gaslighted by anyone chiming in being like “omg that anon didn’t mean to be rude” bc idec. This WAS rude. You’re complaining because the fic “didn’t hit the same” and you didn’t get what you were expecting. Fair enough, feel that way all you want. But I wrote this fucking behemoth of a fic for free, and I don’t need to see comments like this. Idec if you sprinkled in a few compliments at the end bc this was the most backhanded thing I’ve ever read. To the point where it’s almost laughable bc either you meant to be rude and backhanded, or you’re just not self aware enough.

“I expected Peter to take her away” okay? Do you want me to apologise for not writing the plot the way YOU wanted it to go? Bffr. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not a fan of cliche stuff like that, I never intended for him to take her away. “I just wanted angst” There was angst. It was very angsty. If you want a more angsty fic, write one yourself.

I just want to ask you this. If you had written a 37k fic over the course of more than six months FOR FREE and then nervously posted it, only to get a backhanded message like this one… how would that feel? I mean it’s one thing if I was a paid author, then you can criticise me all you fucking want bc at least you’re paying me to read my shit.

But to read it and come back telling me the characters felt off, that you felt like you were reading a different story, etc etc. It is not nice. I remember reading this message a week ago and I literally burst into tears bc I was so sensitive. I wish you’d sent this not through anon so I could keep note of who you are and maybe block you or keep you away from my writing bc honestly? I don’t want you even reading it. But oh well.
