A continuation of my other aspec flag sets, I decided to make some for anattractional (I really like this label).

Like the other aspec terms, (some of) these can have multiple names too, with the anattractional, absolnian, anatt, absol, & absolni part being interchangeable. I didn't list every possible term, to keep it brief. E.g. greyattractional can also be called greyanattractional, grey absolnian, greyanatt, greyabsol, and greyabsolni.

Mainly, I used black, in place of the purple, green, etc. colours used to represent other aspec identities, for anattractional (the base anattractional flag uses black for the bottom stripe).

For the flags where multiple stripes are required, I used grey(s) as secondary colours. For some, the general flag format just felt more colourful (because I mean, I guess they're all pretty colourful), so I used dark blue purple instead of plain grey (bit like what I did in my anspec/anattspec flag).

Also, some of the flag formats use colours opposite of their aspec identities (like the aplflux flag using yellow for platonic, and gradienting to the opposite colour blue, for aplatonic. Or that's how I interpreted it anyways). I generally associate aspec terms with cold colours, and allospec / attraction with warm colours, so for the "opposite" of anatt, I chose yellow, orange, red, and pink.

(Anattflux (2) is meant to be a gradient from the warm colours to anattractional black, with the colours getting darker/greyer the closer they get to the bottom, but the yellow just ended up looking a bit green. I just want to mention it's supposed to be dark yellow.)

I like the dark grey / black theme (even if its not as distinctive), so I'll still post my versions.

Nebulaattractional: When someone has truble to or can't distiguish between attraction types due to their neurodivergency. The difference between Nebulaattractional and nebulous attraction [link] is that nebulaattractional is specifically when none of one's attraction types are clearly distinguishable and/or when one has generally truble understanding what attraction as a whole is/feels like. Also unlike nebulous attraction nebulaattractional is exclusive to neurodivergent people. Nebulaattractional people might identify as nebulatomantic, nebulasexual, nebulaplatonic, nebulasensual, nebulaqueerplatonic, nebulalterous, nebulaalterous and nebulaaesthetic. if there's any apothiattractional adults out there who managed to "make it" and live a life where they aren't forced into having relationships just to survive, how did you manage it? i want to cut ties with all of my fake friends and fake family after I move out for uni, but i'm worried about like surgery where you need someone to take care of you, or what to do if i have financial issues and dont have family to give me a place to live or to give me an interest free loan. i dont know how to get a living situation where i can live alone without roommates that require friendship either. im similarly worried about how to find a job if i can't network, and about how to keep a job if i can't do much more than an impersonal working relationship. ive heard that being friendly is more important than actual work performance, which is just so fucked up and aplphobic tbh.

the current system forces you to rely on other people so much and i hate it, im literally incapable of it. im so depressed right now just because of all the societal expectations, forced socialization, and uncomfortable conversations that im forced to endure because im a minor in high school. idk if i can keep going on like this if this will be the rest of my life until i retire.

(if you're anattractional but still have partners/family/friends that's great and valid but not what I'm asking about, i feel ill if i have any kind of close relationship, esp ones where the other person feels any sort of attraction towards me and thats all of them so i need somewhat different advice)

I personally can't speak on this(Still in school, so I depend on my bio family). However, I'll leave this open for other people to add on to. ^^

apothiobjectum, or apothiattraction objectum, is a term for those with repulsion to their ability to have attraction, attraction repulsion and who have some form of objectum attraction.

this could mean either:

A, one is repulsed by one's own attraction to (certain) objects

or

B, one is repulsed by ones attraction to anything or anyone that isnt an (a certain) object.

repulsion does not mean a lack of attraction, you are still attracted but you are just repulsed by and may have an aversion to being attracted to people/things.

exclusive to such.

If apothiattractional is repulsion to one’s own attraction then is there a label where someone is anattractional and repulsed by any kind of relationship maybe could be called apothianattractional? Or should I just use apothiattractional and anattractional because I’m grayplatonic and plato repulsed? Sorry if this is worded poorly.

If you feel comfortable with the label, then you can use the term apothianattractional to refer to your identity of being repulsed by relationships while also being anattractional. There's no problem with merging the terms if that's how you feel comfortable. You could still use them separately, but it is entirely up to you. Too add, anattraction is a spectrum, so regardless of where you are on it, you can use the terminology.

My take is to use whatever label you're comfortable with! I hope that helps! :D

Is it possible to be apothiattraction and anattractional?

It is definitely possible.

Apothiattractional or apothi attraction is defined as the repulsion towards one's ability to feel attraction, while anattractional is one's lack of ability to feel some sorts of attraction. ¹ ²

Keeping in mind that anattraction can also mean feeling little amount of attraction, it is definitely possible. Also, one might use the term anattractional, but be on the anattractional spectrum and use the term while not aligning with the "typical" definition if it, I'd say it's definitely possible.

Most importantly, if both of the terms align with how you feel, than feel free to use them, without regards to what other people think! You feeling comfortable with your labels is the most important!!!

What IS anatractional, anyway?

That's a good question! Of course, the exact definition depends on the person who identifies with the term, but I can give you a more generalized definition.

Anattractional, or attractionless, is an aspec identity, when an individual feels little to no attraction in general. This means little to no physical, emotional, or tertiary attraction of any type.

On my account, I focus towards the anattractional spectrum, which one can view as a similar term to the "aspec". This means that anyone who doesn't feel one kind of attraction- whether that be occasionally, unless certain circumstances are met, etc -can identify with the anattractional spectrum, if one wishes to. (For example, any aplatonic, aromantic or asexual people could identify under this spectrum).

There are also sub labels to anattractional, similar to the labels that other aspec identities use, such as demiattraction(meaning all or some attractions are felt only after a deep emotional connection is formed) , or apothiattractional (repulsion to one's ability to experience all or some attractions).

Most of the time it feels like I'm incapable of loving anyone, like it feels that when I say 'i like you' to my friends or family or anyone in general, it feel like i'm forcing myself.

It makes me want to cry, bc i cant reciprocate the most simple feeling that is "love or attraction", i dont know if its because im autistic or bc im anattractional and apothiattraction.

Attraction is weird, like, how does attraction even feel like?

Sorry if this sound too much like a vent, i just cant comprehend most of the things, especially attraction or love in geneal.

I wish I could explain to you how attraction feels in reality, but I don't actually know. Based on what others have said to me, it could be described as an urge or pull to get closer to another individual, in any way.

The feeling of lying or forcing yourself to feel attraction is common in the anattractional community. I wish I had the words to prove to you that it's okay.

All that I can say is that you are not a bad individual for not understanding the feeling of attraction and your feelings towards actions relating to attraction are completely valid. I'm sorry if this is not the answer you wanted.

Can I still be Apothiattractional, anattractional and sex repulsed even if I've engaged in self pleasure? I'm feeling insecure if having done that and liking it makes me less valid or not sex repulsed/Anattractional.

Yes, you can. Labels are simply what you feel best describes you. If you feel that those labels feel the best, despite having previously engaged in self pleasure and enjoying it, they are valid. People make a really big deal out of labels, when really all that matters is that you feel comfortable with the ones you use.
