10 Headcanons For the Birthday Magician and Our Beloved Crime-Committing Snake!

Featuring: Asra Alnazar, Faust, Apprentice/Librarian!Lyra Nguyen, Nook the Book Mimic, and various others.

CW/TW: Mentions of the Red Plague; references to MC dying in an alternate timeline.

Apprentice!Timeline(s) | [Pre-Red Plague]

Lyra gave Asra the pink scarf he’s almost never seen without.

When he first received it, the scarf smelled so much like Ly to the point he and Faust would have tiffs over who slept/napped with and/or in it the first few weeks of having it.

Faust and Nook have committed crimes together, but no one can pin it on them because they’re a sneaky pair.

Lyra chastises Nook over it: while he has a tiny blip of shame, both familiars are almost ungovernable.

For y e a r s, Neha teased Asra about being a chicken when it came to trying/failing at asking Lyra to dance with him at any festivity Vesuvia had going on at any given time.

Everyone and their pet/familiar could see Asra was head over heels in love with Lyra . . . everyone except the very person he was crushing on.

Asra and Lyra had a full blown argument over the fact Lyra actually liked having raisins time to time in the pumpkin bread Selasi bakes.

They usually made up over tea.

Every year without fail on Asra’s and Faust’s birthday, Lyra always saves the best piece of the cake for them both.

Palace Librarian!Timeline(s) | [Red Plague, Beginning of Main Plot, & Epilogue (Upright)]

Birthdays were a bit of a strange topic during the Red Plague.

Regardless—and somehow—Asra and Julian saved her a slice of cake when it was either of their birthdays OR her own, bless their souls . . .

While Lyra does/did respect both Asra and Faust during their time in the palace, she was wary of them.

The books Asra had been requesting more often than not came from the Forbidden Highly Guarded Section of the palace library.

On MC’s birthday—Lyra didn’t know it was MC’s birthday at the time—both Asra, Faust and Julian were 10x more morose/stressed than usual.

She didn’t ask the why of it all . . . she respected their privacy.

After the Red Plague, Lyra would time to time send packages to Asra and Faust when their birthday did swing around.

More often than not, the packages did not make it safely to their intended destination . . . at least during the three years between the Previous Masquerade and the Main Game Events of The Arcana.

During the end of Asra’s upright ending, Lyra works closely with Aisha, Salim, the Countess, and Julian in helping to work on jump-starting the public work projects Nadia is spearheading. Asra sends Lyra knitted tube-socks for Nook, which she deeply appreciated.

Bonus: In Lucio’s upright ending, there’s talk between Nadia and Asra about expanding the palace library. It’s hinted that Asra would get Muriel involved in the project.

Whether or not he’d try to be Muriel OR Lyra’s wingperson is up for debate, but it all boils down to just LEMME INDULGE, PLEASE. X’D

Mun: I’ve been dealing with a lot, and while I did plan on writing a fic, time constraints have led me to put this together instead (/positive)!

DAY 5

Do they have any other friends outside of canon? What about the minor characters?

Rigel have a few friends outside of canon. ( Most of those characters belongs to other people~ )

Canon minor characters:

NAHARA

Rigel appreciate her being honest and straightforward.

Staying at the palace from time to time, whenever the Satrinavas visits, they would cross path and just talk. He was the one who asked the favour to train him how to be a better fighter physically, if she knows how. They don’t meet often or train as much though, but they do get along well.

Rigel just likes being with people who are direct and blunt at times.

SELASI

Rigel always enjoys hanging out with Selasi when he can. He likes listening to Selasi talk while eating pumpkin bread. Rigel always been grateful for him, even more when he tried to help out Asra and always being supportive. Overall a good friend to both him and Asra.

AISHA & SALIM

Rigel’s still a little overwhelmed and don’t really know how to act around Asra’s parents but he’s really trying his best. He would help them whenever he can and they would do the same back if Rigel needs it. Aisha and Salim do make it easy to approach them, and Rigel’s appreciates it and would try to adjust quicker. He prefer if Asra’s there than to be alone thought.

SIGMUND ( OC )

Rigel’s aloof childhood friend who have always been there for him. Sigmund helps Rigel out with patrolling in the past, and would fight along side him. More on physical combat while Rigel with magic. They have been close since the beginning but then falls apart after the resurrection. Rigel doesn’t remember him, only a bit. Sigmund is still willing to help out even then.

DAY 6

Now, do they have any rivals? Maybe even a WORST ENEMY!? Spill the deets now!

Rigel have a lot. Since he interfere with anything dangerous/illegal that’s been going on only at the dead of the night and disappearing without a trace, a lot of thugs and others more are always cautious and more careful now. Especially when Rigel actually got a few members caught and are now in the dungeon under the coliseum.

No one has seen Rigel’s face, but they’re aware of him and will always have a look out to try and capture Rigel. There are some that would follow Rigel during day time, suspecting him. He would notice it right away. It’s easy for him to get out of there. If Asra’s with him, he’ll stand where Asra would be blocked from those people’s sight and get out of there fast while making sure Asra won’t notice too.

Could I get hc for where the M6 find MC badly injured?. Not like on deaths door but like they'll need a strict week of bedrest to recover.

How they would react to finding MC?, how they would react knowing someone out there hurt MC on purpose? and how they would spend the week looking after MC?.

Mainly curious for Asra/Nadia and Muriel but all the m6 would be appreciated.

The Arcana HCs: When M6 find MC badly injured

CW for brief descriptions of violence, physical pain/injury, and the M6 being very, very upset

-- to set the scene --

You had spent the afternoon in the forest gathering more stock for the shop, and lost track of time in the process. By the time you were ready to leave the sun was already setting and it was getting harder to see where you were going.

The first sign you had of an attacker was the feeling of being slammed harder than you thought possible on the back of the head. Everything that followed was fuzzy - being hit a few more times around your torso and face, a figure with its face hidden, and eventually being thrown against a wall while your bag was yanked away.

You don't know when you fell asleep, but when you open your eyes, you're back in your shop with your beloved bending over you.

Julian

His hands are steady on your bruises, but when you meet his eyes you can hear his breaths and see the curls around his face shaking

"MC?" He asks worriedly, "Can you tell me where it hurts?"

He doesn't leave the house while you're recovering. He's grateful for any help Mazelinka, Portia, Nadia, or Asra offers, but he insists on treating you himself and does so with total care and devotion

It's one of the moments when you're grateful for his cold hands, because they're so soothing on your tender skin

As you recover enough to be more aware of your surroundings, you start to realize just how the incident is affecting him

You can hear him pacing and muttering and swearing when he thinks you're asleep, trying to figure out how this happened and who did it and how to bring your attacker to justice

And at the same time, you know that no matter how many times he apologizes for not being there and you tell him that it's not his fault, he's going to blame himself

At one point Mazelinka gives you both bowls of soup laced with sleeping medicine

When he's able to forget your attacker, though, he's in his element

He's willing and able to give you everything you need: healing, company, laughter, love, and devotion, all without limits

Though he's very relieved when Nazali catches the assailant lurking outside your shop as they bring their apprentice more supplies and knocks them to the ground

Asra

The first thing you see is their hair twice as fluffed out as usual because they've been running their hands through it

As soon as he sees you're awake, he's gently skimming a thumb across your cheek and putting on a strained smile. "Oh, my love. Everything's going to be alright."

Salim and Julian, who have both studied medicine, are already in the shop helping Asra heal you while Aisha keeps you comfortable

As soon as you're recovered enough, Asra's offering you all kinds of safety options after layering the building in protective magic

Would you feel safer in the Palace? In the woods? In Nopal? Say the word and they'll take you anywhere you want to go

Is very gentle and cautious about how he asks you what happened

Stays so extremely calm and unruffled while you're healing that you know they're feeling some pretty awful things and that they have no intention of letting any of them show until you're better

Behind the scenes, he's stealing away whenever you're asleep to pass all the information he has about your attacker on to Nadia, who is determined to bring them to justice

They're not the type to try to restrict you in the name of safety, but they're teaching you every kind of defense magic they know

Nobody does comfort like Asra does. You won't have to go through a moment of pain or fear without him right there to pull you into his arms and hold you as long as you need him to to feel safe

Nadia

She's putting on a brave face but you can tell from the wrinkle between her eyebrows that she's very, very shaken

"Don't fret, my darling, you're safe now. Don't move. I've summoned our best physicians. Is there anything you desire? Anything I may fetch for you?"

As soon as you're cleared to move she's relocating you to the Palace where she can keep you safe and stay by your side

She is so dedicated to staying available to you, in fact, that she moves all of her meetings into the room next to yours so that she can hear you if you so much as cough

And if she does hear you in any kind of discomfort, she's dropping everything and rushing over

She'll move your head to her lap, bring food and water to your mouth, call for blankets and soup or ice cream and fans depending on your temperature, and trace your face with her fingertips until you fall asleep or force her to go back to work

You are her absolute priority

She's not going to tell you until later, but she is very, very angry

The cold kind of angry, that makes it difficult for her to be fair in her dealings. She has every connection both in and out of Vesuvia on a manhunt for your attacker

As soon as she hears that they've been apprehended, she has them detained until you're recovered enough to get out of bed

She wants justice, but she wants closure for you too, and the opportunity for you to obtain both for yourself

Muriel

As triggered and panicked as he is, Muriel has unfortunately gotten enough combat experience to have in-depth knowledge of how to care for someone who's been attacked

When you open your eyes, his expression is shifting between angry and terrified and deeply, deeply hurt, but his touch is gentle and safe and feather-light and he has water and painkillers already out

He doesn't want to overwhelm you with noise so he won't start talking until you do

He'll lock up the shop and carry you back to the hut as soon as possible, where he knows it's safe for you and for him

He's used to living with his own pain, but now he's becoming angry on your behalf and it's making him conflicted because he hates doing anything that could cause violence

So he sends Inanna with a note to Asra, explaining what happened briefly and asking them to pass the message on to Nadia so they can help

The two of them are quick to send everything you could need your way, and Muriel finds it much easier to accept help when it's for you instead of for him

Julian even makes the trek out once or twice to help you, and in the process tells everyone he meets about what happened and the state you're in

With the whole town on the hunt for whoever hurt their heroes, it's a matter of days before the attacker is caught. It's a miracle they make it to jail in one piece

Portia

The first thing you see are her tear-filled eyes, and the second thing you feel (after the aches across your body) are the steady drip of them falling onto your chest

"MC! Oh, I'm so glad you're awake. I'm so sorry - I'm so sorry!"

It's only a few more minutes before Julian and Mazelinka burst through the door, Julian carrying his doctor's kit and Mazelinka brandishing an honest-to-arcana pirate cutlass

Portia doesn't hide her determination to get justice for you as she carries you into Nadia's carriage to take you back to her cottage

She's holding your head and torso in her arms, helping you give Nadia a description of what happened while she presses her handkerchief to her eyes to keep her tears from dripping on you

She's the best nurse you could ask for

Whatever you can stomach, she'll cook it. If you're too hot, she's throwing open the windows and fanning you. If you're too cold, she's snuggling next to you and sharing her body heat

And if you're scared or hurting, she's cradling your face in her hands and crying all her tears for you. She develops a habit of kissing you right next to each injury every morning and night

When you're asleep, she's talking to every person she knows (which is a lot) and recruiting them to catch your attacker

By the time Nadia hears that they were found, it's almost too late to get them safely into custody

Lucio

His lips are white. All the blood has left his face, and his jaw is clenched so tightly to keep from chattering that you're worried it's going to crack

"MC? MC, are you awake? Does it hurt? What do you need?"

You notice that he's keeping his metal arm angled far, far away from you, where the metal can't bump any of your injuries, and his regular hand is fluttering all over your body like he's scared that he'll make it worse if he touches you

You quickly notice that there's several neighbors in the shop as well, and you learn that Lucio was so loud when he called for help that half the town already knows what's happened

He doesn't want to hurt you, so he guards you instead

He stays watchful at your bedside, sword resting by his hand, so that you know you're safe enough to fall asleep and heal

He'll only sleep if it's on the floor next to you, or in the same bed after you've told him multiple times that it won't hurt you

He'll happily tell you all kinds of tall tales to keep you distracted, and he practices all the patience he's developed with every friend and doctor that stops by to help instead of blowing up at them out of fear

All his anger has to go somewhere, though, so when an old connection from the heart district tells him that your attacker's been spotted, well

The only reason he doesn't kill them is because he thinks it would be too kind

remus lupin fic rec list

i've been on a remus lupin bender since the beginning of the year and have read some rather fantastic moony centric fic in that time. thought i would compile them into a list - just in case anyone else was feeling similar. with love, mootie x

A Bewitching Christmas by batkat (AO3)

Reader is a spy working for the Order, set during Order of the Phoenix. You get roped into spending Christmas with Sirius at Grimmuald place and bump into an old friend. All sorts of shenanigans ensue. I liked the feel of this story, it felt very homely. How all the characters interact, the relationships (especially between Sirius and the reader!) and how beautifully written this is makes you really feel like you're there!

Werewolves of London by 2049s (AO3)

This one is ongoing, but I'm enjoying it too much not to include it! This story follows the reader, a groundskeeper at Hogwarts and Dumbledores personal bodyguard, as she goes about life at Hogwarts. She watches from the side lines as her old friends son, Harry, grows up before her eyes. Until a certain DODA professor arrives, causing feelings and grief long put to rest to resurface. I love how original this is! Her relationships with all the characters are so real and 3D. I love how she signs and how expressive she is with her language. I can't wait to see where this goes next! X

Tamsin Weasley is the oldest of the Weasley siblings. She is the Astronomy professor at Hogwarts. It follows Tam through several years, starting when Sirius escapes from Azkaban right to Voldemorts return. Along the way she meets some interesting characters, and falls in love with a certain professor! Tam was such a interesting character to follow, and I just loved how mischievous she is!

The Marriage Law by theawrites (Wattpadd)

The TikTok famous, no war au fic, that most definitely lives up to the hype. The Ministry has passed a law for all young eligible wizards to marry, and given them all the name of their soulmate. The story follows Aurora Sullivan, a gifted young witch, who is matched with Remus Lupin. Which would all be fine and well, if they didn't despise each other. We follow them as they meet and try to plan their wedding, forge new friendships and try their best to get on given their circumstances. I loved this fic, how Remus is portrayed is so raw. Aurora is such a complex character, and to see her grow throughout the book was a privilege.

Wounded Souls Series by canarypuff (AO3)

The first book, Torment me more, follows Drea Mabry an apprentice healer on placement at Hogwarts Infirmary for a year.. We follow Drea as she makes mistakes in love and life accompanied by her ex boyfriend Charlie Weasley, wreaks havoc with her best friends Aisha and Nova, and butts heads with the new DODA Professor, Remus Lupin. The story ends on such a brutal cliff-hanger, that you need to find out what happens next!

Enter stage right, Against Reason, the second instalment in the series. I have never been so happy to see a sequel in my life! It's still ongoing, so I wont say too much other than, it takes place in the Order of the Phoenix, and Drea is called to join the Order by Dumbledore himself. Things aren't the same as they were before, but will they work things out? Or will everyone carve a different path? I can't wait to find out! I have loved this story, how canarypuff manages to capture every character so perfectly you would reckon magic is involved.

Moonlight series by Fellykins (AO3)

Forged by Moonlight is set during Michelle Derikson's Hogwarts days, where she makes friends (none to some as the Maruaders) and makes the quidditch team. She falls in love too, and by the end of the book has a brand new surname. The book ends at the finale of the first wizarding war, and all the grief that comes with it. The ending had me in pieces - you've been warned!

Into The Moonlight, the second in the ongoing series, starts off 10 years after the first ended with none other than Albus Dumbledore turning up on Michelle Lupin's doorstep with a job offer. She accepts, and starts her new job as Professor of Muggle Studies the same year as Harry Potter comes to Hogwarts. We follow Michelle as she settles in to her new position, and the subsequent joys and sorrows of teaching at a magical school. In her 3rd year of teaching a new DODA Professor causes quite a str for her and son Sebastian. But will it cause more harm than good? I am loving this series! How charming Remus is, how strong Michelle is. How well the series spins together new scenes and old. can't wait to see where it goes!

Remus and Iolanthe Series by SammysDove_CrowleysKitten (AO3)

An oldie, but a goodie. I remembered this fic from my last Remus Lupin binge, a good few years ago. Its an AU where Harry never went to live with the Dursleys but instead his Aunt Iolanthe, his Fathers younger sister, and her husband, Uncle Remus. It's a series of one shots and short fics compiled into a beautiful series. It follows Iolanthe and Remus as they survive life with a rambunctious nephew, a loveable but infuriating lodger, Sirius, and a job offer at Hogwarts. I love this story, for many reasons. Some of whom are doused in nostalgia, but mostly because I love the relationship between Remus and Iolanthe. I love how stubborn they both are, how caring they are. How much they care for their little family, and how they fight to protect it.

Congratulations on finishing Animorphs!

If you're looking for fic recs, one I think you might enjoy is this one focused on Rachel getting ready for a trial after the end of it all, but slightly differently each time:

The reason I rec'd it is that I was thinking of how an Undersider equivalent focused on Delhi might go. Like say, a different Undersider is killed in Delhi, maybe by Phir Se, maybe by Cody, maybe by Behemoth and Alec is there to witness the aftermath each time from his somewhat warped perspective.

You've mentioned before that Alec would be suitably devastated if Aisha died, and probably pretty bothered if Taylor or Brian died, but I'm not sure he would care nearly as much if Lisa or Rachel ate it beyond, you know, the obvious physical consequences of them dying for the team.

But hey, maybe I'm wrong. I am but a Alec Appreciator Apprentice™. How do you think Alec would respond to each Undersider dying at that fight in particular? Most importantly, what are the odds that Alec cracks a joke at Lily's funeral for dying 5 minutes after joining the Undersiders?

thank you i have indeed finished my Morphs Venture. it was fun. yeah i honestly don't think alec would care very much about parian or foil kicking the bucket. i think he would be like...well, that sucks, but he's not in close enough emotional proximity to care particularly much about either of their new coworkers dying. i think if he was around parian he would have enough sense to just sit in the back with aisha and keep his mouth shut, but if it was just him & the other undersiders and the rest of the team was clearly sort of down or awkward in any way, there are fairly decent odds that he might try to add a bit of levity with some morbid humor and then just cram his own foot in his mouth instead. as he's wont to doing.

but as for literally any of the other undersiders, he would care! he's not, to my memory, any closer with taylor or brian than he is with lisa or rachel. in fact, we know that he feels some solidarity with rachel as one of the team outcasts prior to taylor dyking it up with her--when he does his little Bit about suggesting that he and aisha quit the team and form their own together, he also includes rachel on his list of hypothetical "othersiders." the undersiders are fundamentally the only people he has in the world. they're his Team. aisha dying is the one that would really, really hit hard for him, but i prommy he would be very shaken about any of the others dying, as well. although i do think he would parse it through the lens of like...dissociated emotional self defense where he's convincing himself that he doesn't care because he wasn't close to them like he is to aisha, to the point where he comes off as unacceptably insensitive/blase and pisses off remaining undersiders who can't read him in the way lisa and aisha can

Tecna is a similar case to Aisha? The embodiment fairy of Technology and guardian fairy of Alfea's Library?

Sort of? slglks okay so

Aisha is an embodiment fairy! She is the Fairy of Waves uvu I really like it bc of how she is a swimmer from a semi aquatic nation but also because she loves to move and dance! AND because she ends up with a fairy with sound based abilities, and ya know, sound waves lol. The Morphix was a gift given to her by the pixies (it's basically the forcefield-like goo they created for the dome under which they lived at the bottom of that lake) , and being fairy of waves is what makes her predisposed to being able to control it so well.

However! Layla, the fake name she uses when her parents send her away for protection, goes by the fairy title Guardian Fairy of Amethyst Lake, which is not actually a real place, but she uses it to explain why she has the ability to conjure this strange purple substance.

After Darkar is defeated she is able to switch to using her real name and fairy title at alfea.

As for Tecna, looking back I wonder if I should've just made her an embodiment fairy to begin with. BUTTT I like the idea of her being tied to Alfea like that, since she's Faragonda's apprentice (Guardian Fairy of Alfea Library), but being kind of embarrassed about it so she just calls herself Fairy of Information, even though it isn't her real title. It's like a silly bit of irony too lol.

I try really hard to plan ahead and not recon things tho so for now I'm sticking with that lmao

I’ve been meaning to compile a list of content tags I will commonly use, and their meanings. Something in the Water

Part 15 of Julian post-route series Tides of Memories (on AO3)

On and on it goes.

Summary

Julian and Altheia make tentative plans for moving in together, and Julian makes a leap forward in connecting everything they have learnt so far - from sigils to alchemy, to his book of stars and stories - to himself, Altheia, The Star and the Queen of Cups. But meeting Selina, Julian's former apprentice, and still missing Asra, sends Altheia further into emotional turmoil.

Excerpt

“She said it’s a spell,” he said, almost wincing. “Astromancy.” “The clue’s in the name of the book, I suppose,” Altheia said, amused. “Mm, she said that too,” Julian said, a little sulkily. “Anyway, it combines the science of astronomy and alchemy, with the magic of astrology.” He glanced at Altheia. “You don’t know astrological magic, do you?” She shook her head. “No, and I don’t know anyone who does.” But even as she spoke, her mind turned back to her conversation with Aisha and Salim. “Hm.” Julian turned back to the book. “Well, it makes talismans. These symbols here…” His words faded to background noise as Altheia’s head whirled with what Aisha and Salim had told her, with the symbols on the page in front of her, with Julian’s voice. “Alchemists and astromancers can create powerful elixirs and talismans,” she murmured. Julian paused, blinking at the interruption. “Pardon?” “That’s what Aisha and Salim told me.” Altheia leaned forward, looking at the symbols excitedly. “Yes, these are magic. I don’t know them, they’re astrological, and I don’t deal with sigils usually.” She turned her eyes up to him. “But you did, didn’t you?” “Hmm? What did I do?” “Use sigils.” She grinned and bit her lip. Her stomach flipped with excitement at the implications, but Julian wasn’t ready to hear it yet, she knew. “Never mind. What I mean is… This chart shows the stars aligning a certain way, right? This circle is alchemical…” She ran her finger around the outer ring of symbols. “And these are magic. Depending on which you use, you could charge an elixir, or a talisman.” Julian sat back, chewing on his lip again and looking down at the book. “But what kind? The notes here just tell the origin myths, nothing about what they make, if anything at all.” He started to flip through the pages. “Look how many there are! What do they all do? And how do you use them? You’d think there’d be instructions…” Altheia had to bite the insides of her cheek to stop her laugh. “They are the instructions.” “Come again?” Altheia couldn’t resist giving an incorrigible smirk to rival even Julian’s at the innuendo. “Again ?” Julian blinked at her, then when he caught her meaning he waggled his eyebrows. They both sniggered, and he bumped her arm with his elbow. “You were saying?” “Think of it like a formula for a medicine,” Altheia continued. “You’ve had your training, you recognise the name and know what it does. You don’t need a medical text book, just the ingredients and method.” Julian nodded, still turning pages. “I see. Yes, that makes sense. I think. But where is the text book? Is there one? And why do I care?” Altheia decided not to reveal her theory about that last question.

Apprenticember Day 5

Do they have any other friends outside of canon? What about the minor characters?

oop a bit late BUT

Marty:

Years before settling in Vesuvia, Marty had a group of four childhood/teenage friends that would sneakily learn basic magic using one of their parents’ spellbooks. Definitely not safe, but it did create some bonding experiences for sure. Two of them (three if you count Marty) still practice magic on a “professional” level: Emiri became an enchanter specializing in magical inscriptions and, well, enchanted items, and Melsaw is a near-genius “traditional” alchemist.

As a teenager, Marty had a small crush on Emiri, but any romance between the two was short-lived.

Marty had to leave his friends behind for their safety when he fled from his home town. If he doesn’t become the Apprentice, he returns to them years later and they eventually open their own magic shop. Apprentice!Marty gets to find them again some time post-route – while it won’t restore his memories, the group is happy to get to know him all over again.

As for the minor characters, Marty mainly has a decent relationship with Mazelinka, but not many other people since he’s still rather guarded emotionally, but that is a factor to change over time.

Alastor:

It’s not easy to form good friendships while you live a life of near-constant travel. Pre-amnesia Alastor might have had friendships, but between travel, secrecy and passage of time, it’s unlikely that any of those will remain to the post-route era.

He would love to get to know Aisha and Salim better, but it’s a rather optimistic goal considering the… circumstances.

(Alastor actually gets to meet non-Apprentice Marty, and even spend some time with him once Marty and Julian get together, but again due to all the traveling there’s not a whole lot of ground for a strong friendship there.)

3. What is that one scene that you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all of the set-up and context it would need? (consider this permission to write it and/or share it anyway)

I’ve been trying to write a Sith Luke fic for ages (within or without the worldbuilding of my Lucy AU…though ofc it wouldn’t be canon to the AU), but it’s just not clicking 😭 maybe one day! I mostly wanted to write it for this moment:

“Let me help!” Ben cried, pounding on the door separating them. “Let me stop him with you!”

But Lucy wouldn’t let her nephew near this monster. Not as long as she still had breath in her.

“I have to wonder, Lucy,” Eius—not Luke, not Luke, she refused to call him so—drawled, “why you won’t let your dear apprentice help you. Don’t you trust your own teaching?”

Lucy held firm, keeping the door shut with the Force from one hand, while the other pushed against Eius’s lightsaber with one of her own.

“Ah.” He smirked. “I see now. Leia’s vision of her son…it’s your vision now, isn’t it?”

Lucy froze. How did he…?

“You’re afraid,” he whispered, “that I’ll turn him to my side…and you won’t be able to save either of us. Isn’t that right, Lulu?”

I totally stole Leia having a dark vision of Ben from the Sequels 😂 but I have no regrets, it’s a great dramatic storytelling device. If only it was used better in canon!

Also, the name Darth Eius for Luke isn’t mine originally, but I can’t remember where I first saw it. A fic from years ago, I think.

6. What character do you have the most fun writing?

My answer to this changes all the time 😂 right now, it’s either Lucy (my OC) or Izumi!

18. Do any of your stories have alternative versions? (plotlines that you abandoned, AUs of your own work, different characterisations?) Tell us about them.

SO many omg 😂 there was a version of the Morgan AU where Morgan was super strong…but I couldn’t come up with a downside (and I didn’t wanna use the accelerated aging thing because I wasn’t sure how I’d fix it). In the end…forcefields suit her better anyway 💞

Also, the CK AU trio wasn’t always Sam, Tory, and Aisha! The other two options were Sam, Miguel, and Robby or Sam, Tory, and Miguel. I decided on the girls and…I’m happier for it (but Samguel at ‘84 prom was the biggest loss 😭 a deleted scene that will be written, I promise!)

21. What other medium do you think your story would work well as? (film, webcomic, animated series?)

Hmm…depends on the story! I think any of my big AUs would work as a limited miniseries…though for the Bumizumi one, it has to be animated.

23. What’s the story idea you’ve had in your head for the longest?

The Bumizumi AU, hands down. It’s been so long since I came up with it 😂
