me autistic and with chronic dissociation and light processing issues especially with glare, white paper and black text, using an online textbook, copy and pasting my chapter into google docs, changing the font and it's size, making it double spaced, changing the font color, highlighting the text in a different color, putting my glasses on, changing my screen brightness, and TURNING OFF EVERY OTHER LIGHT IN THE ROOM to reduce glare, rocking and using blankets that don't make me want to exit my skin: okay reading time
me: hm it's not making sense still,,,,,

me: oh the author is just refusing to make the topic easy to understand. oh. oh okay. yeah okay cool great cool

There are some words that I don't think need to be put on the high shelf (like "gaslighting" does) but do need to be accompanied by a brief dictionary-style definition before you use them so we're all on the same page of what we're talking about. "Forgiveness" and "empathy" are my big ones. I often suspect certain conversations would be more productive if people just swapped those words out entirely for more concrete terms, but we also need to realize that people do not all use them to refer to the same things.

just curious what made you start drawing? was it like a hobby from young which made you realise you love drawing / painting your artistic creations? :)
ohh thats such a cool question! I'm really flattered that you're interested hehe so basically I've liked drawing since I was a little kid, that was the way I liked to interact with the world and my thoughts and feelings and people said I was good at it so it quickly became a point of pride lmao. Literally at like age 9 or 10 I remember drawing something at school and other kids said they liked it and if I could do one for them as well, so then I reproduced that same drawing like 5 times..commissions were always in my blood i guess adjkshfjbsk
A turning point in like personal development and motivation was when I was 12 or 13 and got into fandom for the very first time and realised I really really needed to get better at drawing Yoruichi Shihoin from Bleach and I got a Deviantart account which also gave me the opportunity to become inspired and motivated by more skilled artists. So like the biggest things that made me turn art into my MAIN skill and hobby was wanting to be part of these online communities and also love for fictional characters and wanting to draw them gay kiss

I have noticed an annoying increase in ppl using “hyper-fixation” to describe something they enjoy…
Please look up what terms mean instead of just repeating them because you saw someone else use it. The context they used it in might be wrong.. It makes it hard to actually talk abt this shit when everyone severely misunderstands what the term means.
It’s not as serious as misusing the term “intrusive thought” but it’s still not great.

what color character are you?
Dark Blue Characters
Dark Blue characters are kindhearted and responsible, driven to care for others around them. They are good at strategizing in the heat of the moment, but are also quite impulsive and rush into things without a plan when they are fired up. While calm people and patient teachers, they are quite hotheaded and not afraid to stand up for what they believe in. Their sense of morality guides them, both into battle, and into healing. They get along with a wide range of people, but do have a temper that causes them to get into short-lived disagreements. They don’t like to be seen as inferior, as much of their strength comes from the softness inside of them. They like being needed and helpful, and want people to agree that they know what’s best for them, although others can get annoyed at what they perceive as nagging. They take turns being the voice of reason and the reason for the voice. They can hold their own, and believe in respecting everyone as long as everyone is respectful in turn. They often had to grow up fast and mature early, which they both take pride in and resent. They are likely to join a just cause on a whim, and do what it takes to develop the skillset they need to best help the cause, although they prefer to be at the center of the action. If they feel no one is doing anything and it needs to be done, they’ll step in. They are often close to prodigies, having some sort of incredible skill that they can expertly hone. They are inspirational and have a lot of emotional maturity. They can both maneuver people through their hardships and inspire them to rise up. They can often ignore their own feelings and needs in the process of being a sort of martyr for others, however, and can grow resentful when no one pays attention to them like they do for others. Dark blue characters need people in their lives who will encourage and uplift them in whatever cause they choose to support, as well as give them space to talk out their feelings. They also need others who will recognize when they are taking too much responsibility on, and take some time to give them care and support and affirm their willingness to care.
