With Raimundo’s promotion to Shoku Warrior, the Monks have been entrusted with more responsibilities representing the Xiaolin temple around the world. New jobs have led to old tensions as Raimundo tries to become a good leader and Omi attempts to find his new place in the group. As new and old threats arise and the lines between good and evil start to blur, will the four Dragons be able to keep themselves together or will these new expectations become too much?

Episode 1 will drop officially in a few weeks and from there I’ll have everything posting in a 2 week posting schedule!

Some additional non-important information about this hypothetical season 4 is under the cut for anyone interested in more of the thought process behind these stories, Season Tags, and Main characters/relationships. However some info contains spoilers so fair warning!

I really wanted to write these stories as if I was actually writing episodes so there were a few things I kept in mind while writing:

1) making each episode its own individual thing which means they will be posted separately instead of as chapters.

2) length. I tried to set myself a min-max of 7000 to 10000 words per episode which worked out for most of the episodes.

3) rating. While it was tempting to add in some more adult plot points to this story I ultimately realized it wasn’t at all what I wanted the spirit of this work to be, so I ended up writing this with the shows rating in mind and what was likely to be permitted to actually be shown in a kids cartoon.

4) character development. I really wanted to focus on character growth and rounding out a lot of the cliff-hangers we were left on in Season 3. That means this season focuses on rounding out three main character arcs:

Hannibal and his plans

Raimundo’s promotion to leader

Omi dealing with everything from the “Time after Time” episodes

It's one of those things that's been simmering away on the back burner for literal years. The world of the books is really special to me, my gf and I have been building it out since we were in high school and it's a project that I've really loved keeping alive. It always had this sort of metatextual layer that seemed really cool to me, and as the characters in the story started to interact with their world's own meta, and I re-skinned it to run as a tabletop game (that never happened), this idea of it existing on the Internet as a little self-guided mystery for people to find really started appealing to me. I've been chipping away at the text of a wiki in my spare time for a few years now, and once it's finished I'm going to start looking at making fake forums. Rn I don't have the experience or time to do as much on my end as I want to, and I also don't have the financial resources to collaborate with other artists the way I want to. But One Day, ONE DAY, it'll happen lmao.

I mocked up a cover for one of the books in the series as a present to my gf a few years ago:

The "series" is called Razing Dust, and they were written by Alden Tucker Blaine from 1965 to the time of his disappearance in 1978. They're about this world, called Kemmeta. Kemmeta is made up of four huge cities, Argent, Aurum, Cobalt, and Ferum. The stories of the books follow the inhabitants of these four cities, called Cityzens, as they navigate politics, go on adventures, and fight monsters in the Dust. The Dust is an expanse of red-clay desert that stretches between the isolated elemental cities, and is full of natural hazards, monsters, and Outers, people who reject city life to live on the move in the Dust.

I loooove the idea of a story existing in its own negative space, and people only being able to experience a narrative through discussions other people are having about it. And Razing Dust and its non-existent books seemed like a perfect fit for that gap, because the lore around it was always a story about stories, and what happens to the people who love a story so much that it eclipses the rest of their life.

There's a whole cast of characters that we've made, both within the books and outside of it, and everyone in the books would exist through the lens of like, discourse and analysis and fan interpretation (but also I could talk about them all day 🥲)

The dream, the real, ultimate dream is that one day there are like. Blog posts and video essays out there that aren't curated plants we made to further the mystery, and that someone out there loved the story enough to make something about it on their own 🥰

Vends un Calot de l’ US Air Force ayant appartenu au Colonel Thor M.Smith.

Le 5 Nov.1942 promu Major et sert comme officier intelligence service auprès de la 8th Air Force en Angleterre

Nov.1st 1943 promu Lieutenant Colonel

Janv1944 a Mai 1945 (Victory Day) chef et représentant au SHAEF Advance Command Post , auprès du Général en chef des troupes alliées Dwight Einsenhower .

Une photo sur internet le montre le 05 Juin 1944 auprès du Général en chef D.Eisenhower , le jour du débarquement : il faisait partie du staff rapproché de celui ci .

Promu Colonel le 15 Mai 1945 .

Juillet 1945 sert au Quartier Général de l’US Army Air Force and théâtre du Pacifique et de la Chine.

Servira ensuite dans la Réserve de l’US Air Force .

Il décède en 1980 à Santa Barbara (État de Californie)

Pièce historique et émouvante , d’un proche du Général en chef des armées alliées en Angleterre puis en France ayant servi au SHAEF de l’US Army .

Il accompagnera le Général Eisenhower en France et pour sa visite aux camps de concentration libérés en Allemagne.

Il faisait partie des proches et de son état-major.

A ses côtés le 05 Juin 1944 (1 jour avant le D Day) voir photo prise le 05 Juin (voir photo )au matin par une recherche sur Internet alors qu’ils étaient sortis dehors devant le QG du SHAEF avec le staff de Eisenhower pendant les préparatifs du Jour le plus long : on y voit Thor Smith à côté d’Eisenhower côté américain .

L’autre côté est composé d’anglais du SHAEF.

Il semblerait que Thor porte des bottes de para US .

Ce calot de l’US Air Force porte son grade de Colonel (aigle américain) . Il est de taille US 7 1/2., galonné en noir et argent pour son grade d’officier.

Each year, I turn the volume down in my life just a bit as we approach June 6, D-Day.

This year, it will have been 75 years since the largest seaborne invasion in history took place. Thousands died—and countless others were indelibly changed by the experience.

Here’s a brief story of how my family was affected on this day: The A. M. Smith family of Reno, Nevada, and a tale of three sons on one fateful day.

Alfred “Long Tom” Smith and his wife, Ivan, had four children: three boys and a girl.

« Long Tom » was a miner in Nevada and eventually became state engineer. On D-Day, the couple’s three sons were already commissioned officers in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Their eldest son, Dale Smith, graduated the U.S. Military Academy in the class of 1934. He was fascinated with airplanes. He was assigned to the Army Air Corps and by 1943, he was a bomb group leader with the 384th Bomb Group (8th AF).

Most of his combat missions were over Germany, but in early June, he led bombing missions over France in support of Operation Overlord.

As commander of the 384th, Dale was a decorated flyer, with 31 combat missions (Air Medal with four oak leaf clusters, the Distinguished Flying Cross with three clusters, and the Croix de Guerre with palm).

Dale went on to serve in leadership positions in Okinawa, as head of the 64th Air Divison and later as a strategic adviser to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He retired as a major general in 1964, 20 years after D-Day.

The second son, Thor Smith, was my grandfather. He was a newspaperman in the William Randolph Hearst organization. At the bidding of his brother, he applied for and was granted a commission in the Army Air Corps.

Thor rose quickly through the ranks until he was a press officer for Gen. Eisenhower at SHAEF headquarters in England at the time of the invasion. Thor accompanied Eisenhower to Paris and later to Germany during the liberation of the concentration camps.

After leaving the military with the rank of colonel, Thor returned to the Hearst organization. He was assistant to the publisher at the San Francisco Call-Bulletin.

Gen. “Ike” Eisenhower was Thor’s hero. In fact, my mother tells the story of when Ike was invited over to their house for dinner. She and my grandmother worked all day on dinner. When the doorbell rang, she went to answer…then fainted. They put her to bed and she missed dinner.

While his two brothers were on the scene for the invasion, Drew Smith graduated with the rest of his class at U.S. Military Academy at West Point on D-Day, June 6, 1944. Ike’s son, David, was his classmate.

Drew was anxious to fly and soon was checked out to fly the B-29s in Guam. Tragically, as he took off on June 11, 1946, his plane developed engine trouble. The B-29, fully-loaded wtih fuel, crashed into the ocean, killing all aboard.

As D-Day was a pivotal day in Western Civilization, it also affected families like ours at a very basic level. Mine is just one story—and I am proud to share it.
