fellas is it kind of fucked up to say that it’s the child’s fault that their parent is yelling at them because the child was the one who escalated it (even if that’s not true and even if the parent started getting heated in their initial monologue about all the ways that child was Fucking up) and then when they’re called out on the fact that they were the one who got so passionate about it in the first place they justify it by saying it’s because it hurts them to see their child like this and that they want to fix it and that’s why they’re so upset and then when they’re called out on how even if it does hurt that’s not a valid excuse they round it back and say that they’ve tried gentler approaches and they’ve tried being nice and it never worked so this is the only option they have left (even if that’s not true and it still doesn’t justify yelling)? is that kind of fucked up or is it just me? /s /rhetorical

Do you know how much media has been produced in the last decade? This really was the era of overstimulation where you never really could watch all the stuff there was.
So when people complain that TV will be bad now, so? Go back and watch all the stuff that's just rotting on streaming platforms it's not like it's 2007 and linear TV is your only option.
But most importantly just support the strike so that the people who make all the stuff you like can keep making it :)

talking about the topic of animated movies not Hitting, I accidentally reminded myself of one time on twitter, I think around the time that Raya came out?? I was poopooing on how much the dragon looks like elsa, and then talked about how I wish 2d animated and hand animated films were still The Medium instead of nothing but the highest resolution skin texture fur textured 3d animated films bc I'm tired of seeing it, etc etc
and then someone who I was not mutuals with, they must've been someone working under the disney IP in some form, and must've either done some work on raya or just worked on 3d animated projects in general, replied to me SEVERAL TIMES as if I was subtweeting them, with something to the tone of "just say you hate me and you think my art is trash" and I think about that ALL the time

I just had the intense realization that Alastor, aka the last person in universe that anyone would ever consider to be sentimental or the type to consider his friends family, was the first person to coin the term Found Family in CANON! Legit he was the first to bring up the idea of the Hotel being a family!
YEAH NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT??? I didn't even fully see them as a found family before he brought it up ahah, that line in the song made me think about it harder and be like "Oh wait YEAH they kinda are"
I don't think he was sincere at that moment ("I'm making Charlie believe we are a family so she doesn't feel the need to reconnect with her dad" yk) but it means the idea of them being a family was already somewhere in the back of his head 👀 Alastor is there something you would like to share with the class

Ulysses obsession with the Courier is a special type of sad to me cause the Courier’s part was so important but so unwitting. They had no idea what was in the package they delivered and neither did he. Neither had an idea of what it could’ve done and the Courier was only caring out their job (mind you the Courier could be killed via notes in the express contract if they don’t). To them it was just another regular delivery to the divide and one that they likely thought would help, just like all the ones before.
It’s so tragic for Ulysses to hold so much ire to the Courier when it really was the case of it could’ve been anyone. Anyone could have delivered that package but they did and so he focused the blame on them and it destroys what he is trying to instill in the courier on a fundamental level.

You know what I find so funny? That I’ve come across a lot of people on TikTok that have something against this one account that posts pjo content. I do too, I mean I got into an argument with them because they kept saying percabeth is strained because annabeth made Percy feel suicidal. And I ended up blocking them because they made a story saying that percabeth shippers need to calm down in their comment section because we’re crazy or something like that. And I just wanted to scream like this isn’t because you don’t ship percabeth, it’s because you constantly bash annabeth, unintentionally but prominently make Percy this stupid victim that can’t feel for himself, and think pereyna and Perachel had better development (not to bash pereyna or Perachel shippers, but in canon, this is just obviously not true). And I thought I was the only one who had something against this person but now people are speaking up about it I guess and I think it’s so funny because I’ve BEEN having problems with them.

kind of expected that the ability breakdown wouldnt get that much traction (especially on twitter bc if it doesnt do well in the first few hours it might as well be dead) but what i didnt need to wake up to was looking at my twitter notifications and thinking there was a long comment on it at first but then i read it and it turned out to be some guy having dug up one of my old totk tweets where i talked about how zelda was treated-
and if a quote retweet with a thread attached already starts with "this entitled brat didnt understand that zelda was being a history nerd by being in the past and getting to experience it herself" with two screenshots attached of the end of totk with zelda staring at the cam all uwu (which has ??? to do with their point??) i dont even want to know what else was in that thread
if thats how the majority of the fandom is then im even less surprised that nintendy doesnt even have to try to write anything good :I
ah yes, i am a game nerd, and by putting me in a game where i stand around doing puppy dog eyes while being shoved around by NPCs is me being a game nerd OBVIOSULY

i've talked about it with the homie @hash-slinging-slasher-trash about the hilarity in that satoru is probably the type who doesn't do sleeping in separate spaces after an argument. you could be the one staying on the couch for all he cares, he'll still weasel his way into sleeping next to you whether that's on the floor next to where you're sleeping or just plopping himself wherever you're sleeping but without going under the blankets
he's not technically sleeping with you. he's by you or otherwise just outside of the space you've claimed for yourself
it's all based in clinginess and his own issues surrounding getting left behind by someone he cares about. it's already happened once, he doesn't want it happening again. so he'd rather annoyingly charm his way back into your space rather than wait for you to stop being irritated. most of the times it works so good for him
there's little an argument satoru thinks is bad enough that you can't go to bed together. you can be mad at each other, just in the same space
but if there is something that'd set him into panic mode in an argument is if you tell him "you know what, i'm staying at ー's tonight"
it doesn't matter who you said you'll spend the night with. it could be shoko's, your parents', a cousin's. that part doesn't matter in the slightest. he probably doesn't even really register who you said you'd be staying with
he only registers that you said you'd leave him and that stings 10x more than the argument does, it feels like you're stabbing him in the chest
just stay, he doesn't ask for much. it'd bother him a lot even after the arguments over and you've made up and you eventually promise that you won't leave the house even after you've fought

for real WHERE does the idea that [utdr humans] are nongendered so that "you can project on them" come from. their literal character arcs are about NOT being a blank slate to be filled in by the audience
i think i understand the assumption on some level for undertale, because there is a very intentional effort to make you identify with the "player character" in order to make your choices feel like your own (the beating heart of undertale's metanarrative lies in giving you an alternative path to violence against its enemies after all, and whether you're still willing to persue it for your own selfish reasons. YOUR agency is crucial).
of course, the cardinal plot twist of the main ending sweeps the rug from under your feet on that in every way, and frisk's individuality becomes, in turn, a tool to further UT's OTHER main theme: completionism as a form of diegetic violence within the story. replaying the game would steal frisk's life and happy ending from them for our own perverse sentimentality, emotionally forcing our hand away from the reset button.
i think their neutrality absolutely aids in that immersion. but also, there's this weird attitude by (mostly) cis fans where it being functional within the story makes it... somehow "editable" and "up to the player" as well? which is gross and shows their ass on how they approach gender neutrality in general lol.
but also like. there's plenty of neutral, non PCharacters in undertale and deltarune. even when undertale was just an earthbound fangame and the player immersion metanarrative was completely absent, toby still described frisk as a "young, androgynous person". sometimes characters are just neutral by design. it's not that hard to understand lol.
anyone who makes this argument for kris deltarune is braindead. nothing else to say about it.

Maybe it is because I am Kathony fan and Polin fan, maybe I have been around this fandom too long who knows 😂 But the argument/ complaints about this season are the exact arguments people had about Kathony in S2. Like the “ To many side stories” the “not enough scenes of just them” was literally the same exact complaints people had.
S2 and S3 follow the same outline/ format, and will probably be the same format they follow for the rest of the series. ( Queen Charlotte is formatted as a limited series and S1 came out before they were renewed so they had to put a bow on the stories in case they weren’t renewed ) Do I wish we would have got more Colin and Penelope scenes? Absolutely. Are there things outside of these complaints that I wish were done differently? Sure, I am a firm believer you can enjoy something and wish things were done differently. I have had complaints about parts of every season. But this is something that is probably going to change anytime soon.
