someone asked for my interpretations of the characters prismo and scarab wouldve made at the end of fionna and cake,

so here we have Sīdus the Fallen star and The Carmine Cavalier (also regarded as Carma (like karma))

im proud of scarabs character name simply cause cavalier used as an adjective can mean someone who doesnt care for others. also really proud of his sickle thing- its like the mandibles of a beetle but it acts like a guiding weapon rather than attacking, so he can just hook people and completely displace their movements but it can also be used for punching like brass knuckles

Have you ever drawn Sillynette with only the Black Cat/TWEOS!Adrien as the Ladybug? I’m curious how their roles would shift, if at all, if the background narrative was altered in that way.

A lot of it would depend on how much of the narrative is altered!

If we're going off of strict TWEoS standards of the Cat&Bug duo magic, then their respective boons/curses might be entirely changed. Adrien wouldn't have a use for the ability to passively influence others to like him, because his motives aren't centered around fame. Recognition, maybe, but it'd be much closer to the realm of "being seen as a competent person worth listening to" than "being adored and admired". The wish both of them make would probably be similar to TWEoS canon ("I want freedom" & "I want to be worthy of love"), so maybe if I had to think of an entirely new boon/curse off the bat, Ladybug!Adrien would be a figure shrouded in mystery so he's never tied down to a specific way of being seen whereas Cat!Marinette would be instantly recognizable (as her hero persona, not Marinette) to anyone who sees her.

Naturally, I think if we can keep their motivations we can keep the surrounding context. Pretty Kitty Noire markets herself as a magical girl idol for the sake of eventually reaching the same "level" as Adrien Agreste. Her comically violent tendencies work extremely well with her miraculous, and even when she can't use Cataclysm she can usually find some way to kneecap the opponent while her partner thinks up a plan. Faustus (okay, so who was going to tell me that Faustus etymologically means "lucky"? hello?????) tends to fall into much the same traps Ozymandias does with his one-track-mind often getting in the way of more creative solutions, but other than that he's still very responsible and the weight of the whole "I'm the one who resets stuff" prevents him from really opening up to Noire. Thus, he's not as awkward as Chat Noir was at the start.

Will Noire still have issue with Faustus? Maybe. Especially if they are still soulmates and especially if Faustus does catch feelings for her somehow. Would there be kwami interference? Well, that's mostly up to what order Tikki decided she wants everything to go in. Maybe the push is for Adrinoire to happen first and Adrien gets his memories tampered with so that he'll be more open to the idea. Maybe Plagg and Tikki try to force Faustinette instead, or maybe they even orchestrate Adrinette to keep Sillynette happy and then slowly build Faustnoire from there.

It could be possible for Claudrien to still happen if Noire does enough to push Faustus away and Tikki waits long enough to start fucking with Adrien's mind. I imagine it wouldn't last nearly as long, though. Tikki might not use mind-wiping so much as she'd induce fugue states and disassociation in Adrien/Faustus, to fit better with his boon of choice—The general outcome would still be similar though. He'd be disallowed from seeing anyone other than his endgame love interest and occasionally the obstacles-that-aren't-really-obstacles. Additionally, he wouldn't be able to just "quit" the same way Chat Noir does—Both because the Ladybug is the one with the magic cure-all and Tikki is the one in charge of The Narrative.

The handling of the kwami swap in canon is one of the things I hate so fucking much that I looped right back around into loving it for the wrong reasons. That's why, as previously mentioned, Marinette does just fine with the Cat and Adrien struggles. She could even theoretically handle the Ladybug even better than Faustus does if they kwami swapped (Lucky Lucky Ladybug would never willingly give up the earrings but Faustus would if he thought it was necessary). Is this unfair? Yes! Yes it is unfair. Marinette might not even want to give the Ladybug back anyways if they theoretically swapped just for no better reason than I find it funny.
