Yvette Knight was the epic love of Oliver Queen’s life. As the daughter of a French heiress and an American media mogul, their families had always had close ties, and the two had been raised side by side. Best friends since infancy, childhood puppy love turned high school sweethearts, everyone expected them to be engaged as soon as they finished college.  It never happened.  Instead, when Ivy returned to America after four years at Oxford, she came back with James Bishop on her arm, and his ring on her finger, and to Oliver Queen in bed with Laurel Lance. Heartbroken by his ex-girlfriend’s engagement, Oliver was quick to agree to join his father on the Gambit to go to China. To his death. Five years later, Oliver Queen is back from the dead, and he hardly recognizes the world he’s returned to. The one thing he does recognize?  The family’s publicist, the woman who held his family together through his death and now his resurrection, none other than Ivy Knight herself.  Still engaged and still unmarried, a bit older and sadder than she used to be, she’s a dead man’s dream come true.  And Oliver can’t pretend that he’s any less in love with her than he’d ever been.

Evolution of Cadence Nash’s/Flare’s Suit

Season 1/2: The first suit that Cisco makes for Cadence really is just a way for her to keep her body temperature regulated, so she has to wear less. But Cadence made sure it wasn’t a skimpy suit and that she needed to have time to move around. Her suit is primarily a body suit with looser clothing over top. The gloves on her hands keeps her fire powers in check until she’s able to get past her plateau of her powers. At this point in time she holds back on her abilities as she works to figure out how to get past the block she has and that was put on her from the Assassination Bureau.

Season 3: There’s not too much of a change in this suit apart from the fact that she has more protection on her legs. It helps regular her body temperature more than the fish nets did before. (But Cisco later admitted he used the fish nets “aesthetically”). The nodules on her belt are bombs, I think? I had that idea originally but I don’t think I ever actually had her use them. Also, I don’t remember why I decided to put those straps on her legs, I think I just needed more red to break up the monotony of the suit. Idk, lol.

Season 4: Her suit has changed to be more of a suit that shows her status as the new leader of Team Flash. She adds gun holsters to the thighs of her suit as she uses them as a last resort if she’s ever too weak to use her powers. The basis of her suit is the same, but it offers more protection and has some of the same bells and whistles within the HUD that Barry has, but is in her goggles. The change to darker colors is a reflection of how Barry’s time away from them in the Speed Force has effected her in ways that made her harder/darker compared to her usual sweet and sassy self. But she’s still able to be bright and perky. Just more serious.

Dinah Zoe Lance had a lot to live up to. Her mother and grandmother had both worn the mantle for years before it had been passed down to her, and it didn’t help that her father was still out there trying to save Star City every night. She thought she’d finally gotten out of their shadow when she’d joined the Titans.

The group had given her purpose, a way to use her mantle and power for good just like her mother and father had. But then it all goes wrong. The group disbands and Zoe is left aimless, friendless, and lost more than ever. 

So she travels. And travels. Until her life feels less empty, until the expectations that weighed her shoulders down disappeared long enough for her to forget about the blunders she’d caused. To forget about the life she left behind. 

And then that son of a bitch Dick Grayson feels the need to send her a text asking for her help. If it were anyone else, she would’ve said no, and she almost did, until he tells her one crucial piece of information. 

Dawn is in the hospital and Dick is reconsidering bringing the team back together.  

It’s the worst idea he’s had in ages, but Zoe’ll be damned if he pulls it off without her. They were a team after all, and teams didn’t leave each other out in the dust. Well, not anymore they didn’t. She’d make sure of that.

Chapter Twelve│Understanding Quarter

Chapter Summary: Team Arrow comes to town. Karen’s and Barry’s secrets clash. 

The Arrow appointed her to a meeting at Jitters the next day, mid-day. Jitters. Karen had the worst case of the jitters—no pun intended—accompanied by a hysterical laugh and the feeling that this was going from bad to terrible. No discussion that involved the League of Assassins should be had over coffee.

She was the first one to arrive, wondering about Oliver's sanity, when he came in... followed by Felicity Smoak.

Son of a bitch.

"Okay, what is she doing here?" said the girl, her ponytail swinging from doing a ping pong game in her head, her finger keeping up as she pointed at Oliver, Karen, Oliver, Karen.

"I should be asking that." Oliver rolled his eyes heavenward. Karen got snippy. "You're the one who brought her."

"She kind of followed."

Karen raised her eyebrows as Felicity snapped, "Uh, yeah, cause you promised Barry to meet him here!"

"Wait, what?" The secretary stood, palms on the table, just as the familiar sound of Barry's lightning crackled outside the shop.

The young man walked in, vibrating in excitement. His smile fell once he caught sight of the three of them together. He approached wearily, hands pocketed in his jeans.

"Oh, you've really done it," said Karen, sitting back heavily.
