I needed a bit more time, mainly because I had two sessions in a row and I was extremely exhausted, not to mention the concentration I usually need at work XD I decided to rest more before I finish this piece up, and I'm pretty happy how this one turned out!
I probably mentioned it previously, but I've never drawn Amrekth before, so it was quite a ride to finally design him. My friends - who knew this character from previous sessions - were also hyped to see him drawn at last. They basically simp him, which is so funny to me xD
He'll most likely change when I start drawing him more and more and get some confidence, but as a first approach, I can't be more satisfied.
Reversing my usual process: after the finished animation let's continue with the lights and flats :DDD
Probably the quickest part of the animation was the flats, since I have tools that makes it almost two clicks to fill the lineart with color. Adding the lights was a bit trickier, since I had to imagine the character in a 3D space with 3D forms, so I needed a basic understanding of shapes and form to get it somewhat right - or at least believable. I hand drew the lights as well, since the light source, the skull is moving, lighting other body parts more.
