The Astronomy Tower was the only place that didnât make Bartyâs head feel like it might snap off from too much noise. He hated the library; it smelled like parchment and rules. The dungeons were too damp and too full of boys who tried too hard. And the common room? Ugh. An explosion of posturing and perfume.
So the tower became his thinking place. Quiet. High. Removed.
Tonight, he wasnât alone.
Regulus sat cross-legged on the stone floor, his dark robe spread around him like a ripple in a puddle. He was flipping through a dog-eared book of obscure Latin hexes that he insisted werenât dangerous âunless you're stupid." His voice was cool, his presence unbotheredâbut Barty had known him too long to fall for it.
Regulus wasnât the type to just âbeâ anywhere without a reason. Which meant he probably already knew Barty was up here. Or maybe heâd felt itâthat Barty needed to talk.
Because Barty did need to talk.
âI think I might be broken,â Barty said after what felt like twenty years of silence.
Regulusâs fingers paused on a page.
He looked up. âThatâs dramatic. Even for you.â
Barty huffed, flopping onto his back, head hitting the stone with a dull thud. He winced. âI mean it. Iâm trying to figure out what I am. Like⊠romantically. Or sexually. Or whatever.â
Regulus raised an eyebrow, but didnât speak. He never asked questions when he knew the answers were coming anyway. Barty hated how patient he was about things like this.
âI donâtââ Barty exhaled sharply. âI donât think I care about most people. Like, theyâre fine. I can tell when someoneâs good-looking. I can even, I dunno, imagine stuff with some people. But itâs likeânothing feels real unless itâs Evan.â
Regulus tilted his head, expression unreadable. âSo⊠youâre in love with him.â
âMaybe,â Barty said quickly, too quickly. âBut maybe not. Thatâs the thing. I donât know if I want to shag him or just⊠sit near him for the rest of my life and listen to him complain about his tea being too bitter.â
Regulus snorted.
âIâm serious!â Bartyâs hands flailed as he spoke. âSometimes I look at him and Iâm like, God, youâre so annoying, youâre obsessed with your skincare routine and you talk in your sleep, but then he touches my shoulder when heâs laughing and I feel like my stomachâs trying to escape through my ribcage. What the hell is that? Is that gay?â
âItâs Evan,â Regulus said simply, closing his book with a soft snap. âThatâs what it is.â
Barty looked at him.
Regulus leaned back on his hands. âYou donât need a word for it. People are messy. Feelings even more so. Youâre allowed to not know.â
âBut everyone else does know.â Barty sounded a little like a child pouting. âMulciberâs been snogging Rabastan since second year. Avery got a girlfriend and never shut up about it for three months. Even you had that weird thing with Wilkes.â
Regulus gave him a sharp look. âI wouldnât call it a thing. He tried to kiss me. I hexed him.â
âStill counts.â
âNo, it doesnât.â Regulus rolled his eyes. âLook, what are you really worried about? That you might be gay? That you might not be?â
Bartyâs hands dropped to his sides, fingers curling around the fabric of his jumper. âI think Iâm scared that Evanâll figure out what he is before I do.â
That stopped Regulus cold.
âI donât want him to move on while Iâm still standing in place. I donât want to be the guy who gets left behind because I was too busy thinking instead of doing.â
Regulus nodded slowly. His voice was soft now. âHe cares about you, you know.â
âI know.â
âHe talks about you all the time. Itâs annoying.â
Barty let out a breath that was half a laugh and half a sob. âI donât want to hurt him.â
âThen donât.â Regulus shrugged. âYou donât have to have it all figured out to tell him he matters to you. Heâll get it. Heâs not like the rest of them.â
Barty stared at the stars. He wasnât a sentimental person, not really. He liked chaos, and power, and being just a bit too much. But when it came to Evan⊠he didnât want to be too much. He wanted to be enough.
âI think,â he said carefully, âthat Iâd still choose him, even if he wasnât a boy.â
Regulus blinked. âThatâs⊠saying something.â
âI donât mean that in a weird way,â Barty added, flustered. âI just mean⊠if Evan were a flower, or a chair, or a cloud, I think Iâd still be obsessed with him.â
Regulus snorted again. âPlease never say that to him directly. Heâd never let you live it down.â
âI wonât.â Bartyâs voice dropped to a murmur. âBut itâs true.â
The wind rustled his hair, tugged at his sleeves.
After a long pause, Regulus stood, brushing imaginary dust from his robes. âYouâll tell him when youâre ready.â
âDo you think he already knows?â
Regulus looked down at him, his gaze more gentle than Barty expected. âProbably. But I think heâs waiting for you to know.â
Barty nodded, lips pressed thin.
Regulus turned toward the stairs but paused just before he descended. âYou're not broken, Barty. You're just⊠in progress.â
Barty laid there long after Regulus left.
He wasnât ready to tell Evan yet. But he would be. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe next week. Maybe after the next time Evan grumbled about their potions homework while curling into his side like he belonged there.
He didnât know what he was.
But he knew who Evan was.

got this comment on my answer to the anon asking me why i hate totk:
" @comentter
I feel all of this so much, especially the not just lack of connective tissue, but the active dismissal of any connection to BotW, let alone any past Zelda games. That Ganondorf was just a name nothing more... I've only recently been able to enjoy BotW stuff again. I have a question though. Can you elaborate about doubling down on the flaws of BotW (or point me to a post where you talked about this?) I've seen a lot of criticism of the game, but never this specifically"
(seperate post bc i didnt want to add to an already longer post and i will keep it "short" bc i HAVE talked about it before but idk how the hell to find it either lmao)
what i broadly called 'flaws' were pretty much all things that were critized about botw and/or were lacking in general that i do not believe totk fixed at all, they either doubled down on it, made it just as bad, or pretended to fix it but didnt (and often made it even worse)
im just gonna give some of the biggest examples bc i want to keep it shorter and maybe you get the idea:
the dungeons (titans) in botw were too samey and the whole terminals thing werent the best puzzles, plus the very same kind of boss each time; on the plus side the little gimick of each titan was neat, their introduction great, they looked intimidating, its generally just .. very cool bc its a giant MECH and also it made sense in the story even if there were missed opportunities with the bosses -like making them be the possesed remains of the champions for exampls- BUT they still have the benefit of you knowing they are what killed your friends, theres a personal connection here- and you cannot climb them bc all shiekah stuff is not climable (so restricting you which is GOOD), and they got the bonus of all shiekah thigns as in they saw the future and the things are meant to be doable for you and since its been a hundred years theres people around that still know your friends of the past, you get your dead friends ability at teh end, a part of their spirit really
-totks dungeons .... well, they LOOK different from each other, but its just the surface really, each of them is 5 switches (that feel very artificially inserted since its supposedly race specific dungeons but those things are clearly sonau (zonai)) and none of them (or only the thunder ones? barely?) are connected to each other at all, so its terminals again, BUT they are also static (in contrast to botws moving titans), the already easy puzzles can be skipped easily (via totks horrible building shit that invalidates so much of the world it was inserted into bc it simply wasnt made for this), you can also climb walls so even more ways to cheat (in a boring way, having to do glitches to cheat is cooler), they also lack a personal connection, all these dungeons, especially the ones in the sky, appeared out of thin air really, and while thy try to make your friends and their villages in distress the tension it falls very flat- and it detracts further that they are in almost the exact same LOCATION AS IN BOTW (more repetition), you have NO connection to the nameless ancient sages or reason to care about them and the whole thing about your friends awakening as sages feels very ... well, bad, their stone ability makes little sense and it also seems to override what made the champions, your old friends, significant (who cares about champions? sages are way older and more important)- i will give them credit for the bosses beign different but ... its got less weight too, these monsters are just mosnters summoned there, they didnt kill the sages they are just there to supposedly stop you from gettign the stone which, i dont think is ever stated as the actual goal by anyone so it doesnt even make sense!! the only reason you go there is BECAUSE there are monsters threating the villages now! (also the sonau didnt have the future thing and also .. when were those things built? who cares, why are the fish in the sky WHY DO THE WATERWORKS IF- etc)
so overall, looks fixed on the surface, but its actually worse
weapons breaking! while i didnt mind alot of people did but it was essential to botws exploration drive, there were lots of cool weapons whose appearances changed fit to how far you were in the game (meanign they went from weak to stronger ones) and it makes sense they are all over the place with monsters using them etc
-totk then .. well the weapons still break, their base version are now all ugly rusted and very shitty for no sensical reason (its jsut to force you to fuse), you can fuse stuff to them, you HAVE to, bc id bet they are even more brittle than botw ones in their basic version, fusing uses up materials (which you also need for armor upgrades), often looks stupid and is a hassle to do espeically in mid fight, monsters and people also just do it even without having fuse and ........ strap fruit to their shields or sth instead of fixing their weapons bc i guess no smiths exist ever?
so appears fixed, but isnt actually, and i would argue, made worse (this is were i would for once say a more classic crafting system was THE fix but thats for the rewrite now lmao)
shrines! in botw there were mayn of them, often rather short or underwhelming, all look the same and tehre many that were jsut a fight which is a little boring but it made sense with the shiekah having them made for you in the future (also theres a bit of personality bc each has its own monk that made that puzzle for you and giving you their bit of spirit) and they were well integrated into the world (also the monks talk to you! they are still sittign there after all!)
-in totk, well, theres EVEN MORE OF THEM, EVEN SHORTER, and with totks building shit that they barely restrict at all (weirdly though you cant climb walls here either ....hmmm inconsistencyyyy) extremely easy to cheat in a boring way that feels less like you are cleverly exploiting the game and jsut that they didnt care, all look the same AGAIN, just with a different paint job from botw, they just ... came out of nowhere, their placements are like .. the same just a little to the left, at the end its a static statue of the main guy and his fridge wife every single time, they give you .. a .. light orb? the shrines purpose is very non sensical (banish monsters? literally how and were lol, also you need a rauru arm to get in? also where were they before? and uuh .. is the puzzle the security????i dont see mosnters running around with rauru arms?? nothign changes after you do them so banish evil how what??) and they are very much just .. put there, you know they werent there before, like the world easiest mod jsut moved them a little (they .. talk? to you? prerecorded? somehow?)
so the same but worse than in botw
krogs! (koroks) in botw .. were too many, i get it, it was a joke and something you werent meant to find all of (nintendo shoudl have known better tbh) and they were sth to fill the gaps, i dont like that they are what exapnds your inventory but its more forgivable since its the firrst time here
-now totk ... just did the krogs again, with the SAME purpose (instead of bringing back pouches! easy better rewards!!!) and EVEN MORE OF THEM, the backpacking ones have literally no reason to do what they are doing (i thought they were fleeing the forest but .. they arent) and are just there for you to fuck with them, thats the whole reason
so .... made worse, just doubled down and worse
the story/memories! in botw the main story takes place more in the past than the present, many didnt like that even if i too say it worked very well for botw, they were short but well made and skillfully gave you a glimpse of the past, enough to care about the chaarcters even if only a little and as its been long but not too long there are people still talking about it all or knowing you and what happened and getting them out of order didnt have any consequences sicne they were all more about the chaarcters rather than a story with lots of different beats, they all made sense as in you had to explore and find the places where they are with very little hints given if any, you had to explore and rememebr places! engage with the world!
-so totk ..... did the memories AGAIN, doubling down on that system, but also worse bc, now the memories are THE story, a LINEAR story that doesnt work out of order since its not about the characters but what is happening ... or HAS happened, they are EVEN MORE in the past than in botw, far far more even, no one knows or cares about these characters, there is no connection and even zelda doesnt feel like botw zelda at all, you can still find them all out of order though massively spoiling and confusing anyone (even if the story itself its pretty bad), also they are marked with ENOURMOUS GIGATOMANIAC glowing glyphs on the ground, you dont even need to think or find anything you just .. look. fly up and look, you dont have to engage with anything AND these memories are very ...... idk, flat, they somehow manage to tell you too much about the past (removign the mystery and sense of time/distance) and also not enough to make you care (its all just plot, clumsy plot) and with there being pretty much no connection to the current time (like with people knowing the champions in botw still etc) its just ... might as well be a random AU
so, memories and story in the past again, even moreso too, call that a double down
theres more obviosuly (like the tutorial being the same but worse, the abilities too being done so similarly isntead of bringing back main items, the clunky ASS UI that was bad in botw but still okay bc first tiem and also meant for the wii u- totk though?? worse, they made the shitty UI WORSE, quest rewards being a fucking joke, all the GRINDING totk is so much stupid GRINDING) maybe people dont realize this, mabye calling it doubling down isnt right but to me this is all the same, but even worse, instead of correcting and taking a few steps back to how it was before and see theres value in all those older games systems they did botw again, but worse, so .. doubling down on all the things that were bad and making them worse too, even if on the surface it may look "fixed", instead of correcting their parking by carefully going backwards they were still in first gear and slamming GO to hit the wall when you where literally telling them they werent in the backwards gear
so so many thigns in totk are just, botw again but worse, more shitty shrines instead of less, more krogs isntead of less, worse rewards, more grind, the shiekah tech again but worse, malice is miasma, the same but also worse (its not even a 3d model ... ), luminous stones are sonanium (zonaite), its everythign again but worse ........ (and also invalidates so much of botw, its jsut ... infuriating bc it FEELS so mean spirited, its just all beign overridden, nothing of botw matters bc look! look all that stuff came BEFORE THEM actually, and that was way more important ..... even down to the sonau designs its overriding so much of shiekah stuff, and im not even that big of a simp for shiekah stuff but this was supposed to be a botw sequel, the game with the shiekah tech?????? anyway ..)
(yes this is as short as i could make it on the spot, already spent two hours on this so sorry but i wont go over it to edit for another one dfnjknhdfjkbdfjk)
#ganondoodles talks#zelda#totk critical#sorry for the long rambling i jsut#hhhhhhhhhhhhhhh#i could talk about this again and again#also im tired#hopefully this can clear up what i mean a little?#idk maybe i got the wrong idea here but like#botw was a radical shift to see how far they could push it#saw it and then logical should look okay some things didnt quite work out as well or could be better#and maybe .............. maybe the old games had some good game design in them?????????????????#i dont care how many people want to pretend you cant combine the old style and botw style#bc you can#100% you can and its not even that hard bc im doing it in my rewrite and its like .... thats just me .. random internet guy#you just need to know what parts to pick and how to make use of them- of course theres soem sacrifice but like#you cannot please everyone ever- and my goal with the rewrite isnt to make it for everyone (bc all that does is make slop)#but to make it make sense .. you know .. looking at botws system and think okay ... how can i make this better#ganondoodles rants#i suppose that tag is warranted again

'I've never been in a dungeon before' and 'Who's Ganon?' have literally made some of the BEST reaction panels in Lu I just-
They are very similar conversations- where a Link is pointing out/asking about something that the others have experienced and they haven't. Which is really cool to compare and contrast but they all just freak out about it

Genuinely some of the best conversations in Lu
The lesson here is that apparently the Links will always be freaked out when one of them has missed out on one of the Zelda Fundamentalsâą
.
Art by Jojo @linkeduniverse au :)
#just wait till they find out Wild never wore a green hat#linkeduniverse#linked universe#Lu sky#Lu wars#you know what Sky wars wasn't judging you for your questions why you judging him huh?#it's like the core of Lu really. comradery and comparing- all their different experiences and similar ones. which is really COOL AND FUN#But the way they freak out when one of them hasn't done something- while hilarious- is excessive#'I've never done a dungeon'- are you sure you're one of us?#lol love these dorks#also I'm answering asks! slowly but surely I'll get there. you guys matter so much to me#I hope this post is ok... I didn't edit it too much and it's late#hope I made sense#I love you guys /plat <33#:)

Is there any info about the main party's love lives/sexuality? More to the point, is Laios asexual? The way he wasn't initially affected by the succubus when they were super effective against eyery one else, and hasn't shown any sexual/romantic interest in anyone (except possibly orcs) makes me think he is.
Well, he did kinda fall for the charms of one of their past teammates seduction.
But this might just be because he's a pushover, he did similar stuff for the gold stripping teammates.
The other argument I can see it's here where he says he'd marry Shuro if he was Falin. But this also could just be Laios simping for his bestie
The succubus probably didn't work right away cause Laios had a more complex fantasy to be fulfilled, but you can argue she picked Marcille's appearance instead of one of the guys for a reason. Also Senshi aparently also saw his mother or someone from his past too even tho he's an adult
And Marcille's showed up as a character from her favorite novel
I think the succubus becomes whatever is more likely to convince the person to let them feed and Marcille is the one he's the closest with from the group
That is all to say! I think there's a good argument for ace Laios, there's not much romance in Dungeon Meshi but Laios seems especially uninterested in the subject. The orc thing might have been just aesthetic since he likes demi-humans and the times he seems embarrassed near Marcille (like when he touches her ear and today when he apologized for touching senshi's thigh thinking it was Marcille) is probably more cause of awareness that's not socially acceptable.
For the others I think Chilchuck could bi cause he thinks senshi is hot, Marcille is probably a closeted lesbian, Senshi has to a job (feeding the kids) so he cant think about that right now and I think Izutsumi is Izutsumi
And just to be clear with this I just meant to point out what could possibly deny an ace Laios interpretation and how else you could see those scenes to argue for ace Laios. Headcanons are fun tho so I'd just say run with it even if there's no proof! Dungeon Meshi not giving us much canon about relationships is a treat for the imagination.
#Ask#headcanon#guyhatless#dungeon meshi spoilers#oh yeah#to answer your question objectivelly no#we only get stuff about shuro and chilchuck as far as I remember#chilchuck being into blonde women and married and shuro being into Falin#everyone else dont get much of anything about their romance preferences#even falin sees marriage as more of something she has to do#Edit: erased the reasoning for lesbian marcille it doesnt need a reason

i needed to express a sentiment in the creative stylings of @dunmeshiminimumwage
#eliot posts#dunme#delicious in dungeon#dungeon meshi#sorry to put toshiro in the roll of shitty job interviewer lmao#but he was the best fit for ''guy that wants me to read their mind''#laios being my internal monologue here#i was on my THIRD interview of the day i was Dying#tho since the prev two interviews i had were for similar positions and told me their salaries outright at least i could use that number#(though tbh my work persona is more of a kabru. my customer service voice is unparalleled)#(at my first job even my coworkers thought i was sooo cheerful til i got too comfy and casually made a joke abt wanting to asphyxiate on a#plastic shopping bag like a sea turtle. in front of my sweet elderly coworker. oops!)#(also this job was during quarantine and after weeks of working together i took my mask off in front of one coworker for the first time#and she called like half the department over from their registers to look at how pretty i was??? prettyboy powers unmatched ig)#(also my first interview today went SO well i charmed that interviewer so good despite my lack of qualifications)#(she even complimented my social skills and said i seemed like the type who could get along well and make good conversation with anyone!)#(which is important bc i was interviewing for an elder care position. also old people especially tend to think i am a Delightful Young Lad)#(unless i accidentally make a morbid joke around them ig lmaooo. or. well. some of them like those too. but not that one coworker lol)#(if only that skill transferred over to actually making friends irl. my autistic ass has so few close irl connections)#(i hope my exceedingly short list of character references does not prevent me from getting hired)#AND ALSO my first job asked the same wage question and i said twelve dollars#and they were like all our new employees start at 7.75#the union insists that we pay all new employees a whopping 50 cents above min wage. (we'd pay less if we could)#like dawg why did you ask that then??? if my answer did not matter at all???

I LOVE SID, HES SO COOL!!! and your art is so pretty đ„čđ„čđ„č thank you so much for sharing iiit
Btw I'm totally curious as to how Sid can glamour his wings away :O do they get sent to a demiplane?
Oh man, THANK YOU SO MUCH! <3 So it's a long story about my boy Sayid, but I'll try and keep it at only-necessary info for context:
His Aasimar heritage is tied directly to an Ilmaterite aligned Hollyphant named Maro; specifically a fleece made from his fur that was given to some farmers as a healing blanket!
... Which Sid's bio-parents, thieves and brigands, stole after they killed the farmers! (Maro doesn't blame Sayid for it at all, he also considers Sid his grandson.)
They then sold baby Sayid to an Ilmaterite Monastery, due to him having a case of "Crying bloody tears" (noticably Ilmater-type holy behavior) and ... Also having malformed little baby wings, which uh đŹ
He ... Arrived at the temple without wings. Make of that what you will.
Sid grows up at his Monastery without any knowledge of any of this, and gets the fright of his life when he starts GROWING WINGS after his first few weeks at Magic School! Flash forward and because the wings haven't grown in 'enough' to lift his plate-armor wearing ass, Sid gets several magical boons from a Power in the setting that grant him fully functional (and super pretty wings) that he can keep as long as he stays attuned to this trio of items.
Before our game went on a small hiatus, Sayid had just gotten a lot of closure for his Bio Family, (they were a huge ordeal, Ilithids were involved) found out about his wings being removed as a baby, and because the party had retrieved Maro's Fleece, one Restoration later Sayid actually has his own, beautiful and fully functioning (and larger) wings now!
This is all a super long way of saying: Sayid's grandpa (who is a Hollyphant) takes care of Sid's wings while he's hiding them. Which is super nice of him, because Sid's got SIX of the fuckin things!
#text post#Sayid Salvatore#DND#Dungeons & Dragons#thank you so much for such a thoughtful ask! Hopefully this answers the question w/o too much extra info#I had asked our DM years ago at the start of the campaign of Sid could eventually get magic tattoos to hide his wings#and the man instead provides me a fucking beautiful storyline and in game reason why Sid can hide his wings AND#gives him an excuse to have the big eye markings on his back where his wings come out!

non story related ff14 question, what are the queue times like rn now that the general launch is out? i know i'm gonna buy and play dt eventually but i'm wondering if it would be worth it to wait until the hype cools off a lil >.>
I like how ive become reddit Google search. Actually great im on Primal which definitely helps but on weekdays i always log in and thereâs like 30 people, most ive seen was 200 and that was on Saturday at prime everyoneâs home time! big round of applause for squareâs server team
#also though it launched today. To accurately answer this question would require me to travel into the future#or have logged on more than once today#iunno I logged on at 4 and there was a queue of 30! thereâs a data point#ask#ffxiv#I think you could get in just fine. Getting into duties however. Maybe a different story#especially as a dps. Maybe pull up a YouTube video the lines are 20 minutes average at least for new dungeons#but then again I got in within a minute yesterday at like 1 pm so! Maybe youâll grab someone doing roulette for leveling?

I'm curious what's your opinion on Cazador battle(as part of the narrative )and what did you do with 7000 vampire spawns? What team did you take with you? Your games thoughts are always so good!
oh boy, it's been QUITE a while since i've done this particular fight so I don't know if i'm going to give any good opinions here but i can try!
i mean, narratively? It's known that Astarion's companion quests are very disconnected from the overall plot, but they tie in well with the overarching companion theme (I want to live), and this is no exception. it's a solid conclusion to Astarion's personal quests, but also. you know, it doesn't have much to do with the actual story of the game. imo the Cazador fight was probably the least climactic and interesting fight to ME personally, of the ones that happened in the 3rd act. Comparatively, House of Grief was a BITCH but highly memorable for that reason, the trials and Ansur fight for Wyll were more fun, and Karlach's emotional beats with Gortash were the HIGHLIGHT of 3rd act wrt companion quests, both narratively and thematically.
Mechanically, the fight was interesting for taking you down a party member and forcing you to prioritize getting Astarion/the other sacrifices down before you could focus fire on enemies (and i recall a LOT of additional enemies) but otherwise felt fairly cut and dried and simple. iirc, I brought Shadowheart and Lae'zel, since Lae'zel was my best fighter (and my bestie) and Shadowheart so she could cast daylight, which helps you control the battlefield by weakening Cazador (and because I had her specc'd into Light Domain, so her channel divinity gave me a nice radiant damage AOE). I didn't have Astarion in my party much since I was already playing an Arcane Trickster rogue, so he was basically dead weight the entire fight LMAO. TRULY leaning on Lae'zel's 9 million attacks per turn and Shadowheart and I's radiant damage (I was a rogue/cleric).
My opinions re: party comp are pretty skewed, though, based on like. me only really running around with one particular party that playthrough (Shadowheart, Gale, and Lae'zel) and the fact that I was on Storyteller difficulty. I haven't done this fight in any other playthrough yet, do I can't say how I feel about it on Normal/Tactician or with alternate party members! Shadowheart I'd recommend overall for having access to daylight (in case your Tav/Durge does not) but depending on specs and your usual party, there's a million ways you could prep other party members to work well in this fight. If i did it again, I could easily see Karlach being good, especially with a throw barbarian build (which will body ANYTHING), and Minthara for being a world-calss paladin with access to divine smite. But Lae'zel benefits from sheer number of attacks, Gale (as his default Evocation subclass) could wreck the number of enemies with his AOEs, and certain Wyll builds would work really nicely also, so it's really up to you what you want to prioritize here in terms of party comp. (I'd probably bring Shadowheart & Minthara, personally, if I did the fight again, but undeniably Gale's AOEs would be amazing to have).
My intention going into the fight was to release the spawn, tbh. I can't quite remember what ALL the options were (i.e. if there was an option to kill all the spawn without Astarion ascending) but I mainly just did not want Astarion to ascend, and I DO vividly recall that I refused to help him ascend and I needed to pass a DC 15 persuasion check to convince him not to. I had all my inspiration and a +10 to the roll and FAILED EVERY SINGLE TIME. So, on my first try i didn't succeed, Astarion said he hated my guts and hoped I failed to defeat the Netherbrain, made it so the 7,000 spawn would be stuck in their prisons for eternity, and left the party permanently. this seemed EXTREME to me, but whatever, I reloaded and EVENTUALLY succeeded on that check to release the spawn/not ascend. I think that's an acceptable ending. I don't have a lot of thoughts about it, but it felt a LOT better than those poor people staying trapped there for eternity, I can say that for sure. Like, there will for sure be problems with releasing 7,000 spawn into the Underdark, but i felt like the best of a bunch of bad solutions to me, imo.
I don't know if any of this is helpful (it really has been like. 1.5 years since I did this fight) but that's what I've got on it!
#tragically any questions about astarion's companion quests are kind of hard for me to answer because like. i didn't care that much#i was WAY more focused on like. literally everyone else#i never used him in my party. EVER. it was goofy but he was so redundant in my party comp i had no reason to include him#when i could use people i liked more and who meshed better with my comp. i really never developed opinions about what happens in this quest#i could probably give you MUCH better answers about anyone's else's quests and how they mesh narratively though#me failing that persuasion check is really my most prominent memory about the whole thing it overshadows everything else LMAO#wait also i do remember cazador's house?? the dungeon crawl to get to the fight?? and it was unfinished??#i spent so much time in this attic space trying to figure out what was going on there and there was just?? nothing??#i'm still ???? about that#anyway sorry this wasn't a better answer!#asks#anon

My hasn't-played-anything-less-rules-heavy-than-Blades-in-the-Dark ass has today acquired an OSR style game rulebook. (Black Powder And Brimstone, if you're curious. Derived from Mork Borg, not that I'm very familiar) I was inspired to take the dive largely by yours and @thydungeongal's posts, so I now come to you asking for advice Namely, any general tips or advice for shifting my GMing paradime from the rather rules-loaded BitD, Lancer, and modern DnD into the OSR-style gameplay loop? How to structure a campaign, what sort of play experiences to be aiming for, mindset, that sort of thing? I've got some sense of it being not very narrative-centred, and about a bunch of driven fuckers stumbling around dungeons on their own initiative, and letting dice and Big Stupid Tables take the wheel, but it's all very broad-concept level stuff
I think @thydungeongal pretty much covered all the actually good advice, so let me just spout some nonsense:
Assume the powerful Wargamer Stance. Cast aside your pretensions, this isn't drama club, this is a game. Backstories happen during the first few levels. If someone doesn't feel like naming their character before they've survived a few levels, that's fine, I've done it myself. Put obstacles in front of your players and don't expect them to succeed or fail. Never let your game hinge on any one character, whether player or non-player, surviving.
Nothing is certain. Everything is possible. Go forth and conquer.

INTOXICATED
Pairing: Severus Snape x Reader
Words: 2.4k
Summary: Lupin and Y/N are affected with sex pollen by accident and she goes to Snape for him to help her.
Warning/Content: smut, sex pollen.
MASTERLIST KINKTOBER MASTERLIST
She would kill Remus as soon as she fixes that. Great idea, why not open the suspect power he got from a student and smell it. Y/N groans, walking down the dungeons, hoping that Snape was still awake. Noting the light under the door of his classroom, she knocked softly before opening the door. There he was, working some potion when she entered.Â
Snape soon noticed Y/N entering, looking at her oddly. It wasnât common for her to be there, especially that late. âAre you alright?â He asked, looking at her.Â
Y/N was sweating slightly, feeling her body warm and her face was probably red by now. She would kill Lupin for that, thatâs for sure âNoâŠâÂ
He took notice of her flushed appearance and he immediately felt a sense of concern and a bit of confusion as he approached her slowly âWhat happened? Are you sick?â He asked, trying to keep his voice neutral even as his worry for you grew.Â
âNo...â Immediately, Y/N took a step back, not wanting to be close to him, especially in those...conditions. Oh, she would kill Lupin. âÂ
Snape took another step forward once she took a step back, as a reflex. He paused at her taking a step back again, feeling more confused âThen why are you sweating?âÂ
âI...â How would she tell him that? âMerlin, this is embarrassing...â Y/N looked down, trying to control her breathing and her mind, that kept telling for her to just forget everything and jump on the man right in front of her. And his deep voice wasnât helping her case. Â
Snape tilted his head in confusion, his concern slowly turning into irritation âSpit it out, I donât have all night.âÂ
âSo...â Y/N started âLupin confiscated a small vial from a boy on his class... and he decided we should check it...âÂ
âAnd?â His eyes darkened slightly as you mentioned Lupin, he disliked the man like the plague, and he had to hold back a scoff. Â
âAnd it had this kind of powder...â Â
Snape as getting even more irritated as she being proposedly vague in her answer âWhat powder?âÂ
Y/N looked at her hands, ignoring his question âAnd we thought âhey, we should check this...âÂ
He was starting to grow frustrated now, his patience wearing thin, as she ignored his question. He took a step closer, his voice growing a bit sharper âI asked you a question. What powder?âÂ
She sighs, looking back at him âIt was a pink powder...it seems like...like an aphrodisiac or something like that...âÂ
âYouâre jokingâŠâ He said, trying to remain composed as he looked at Y/N, his mind going over a thousand scenarios suddenly.Â
Y/N shakes her head, biting her lip before she spoke again âYeah...funny thing though. Lupin accidently spilled on us and we end up inhaling it.âÂ
If his eyes widened more, they would pop right out of their sockets. âYou what.â He said lowly, his voice taking on a dangerous edge as he stared at her, his entire body growing rigid.Â
âWe didnât know what it was!â She quickly says in her defense, but she had to agree that it did sound stupid.Â
âAre you two idiotic?â Snape snapped, his voice now filled with a mixture of disbelief and annoyance. He couldnât understand how two adults who worked at a school could be so careless, and honestly, neither did she. âSpilling and inhaling any form of powder without knowing what it is...You could have poisoned yourselves beyond repair!âÂ
âIt was an accident.â Cleary, she didnât have much to defend herself and Lupin. It was stupid, but they didnât think a student would have a poison. But considering some students...they should.Â
âIf you would have been poisoned you could have died, you understand that, yes?â He asked firmly, his eyes never leaving her face, suddenly thankful she was still breathing.Â
Y/N sighs. Snape was right, like always. âNot our brightest moment, I admit.â Â
âNot your brightest moment?â He repeated, his voice taking on a mocking edge as he looked at her âYou should know better. The both of you. Grown adults. Careless enough to do this.âÂ
âPlease, just tell me you have some potion that can help me with...this.â She looked at him, almost begging. The effects were worse by the moment, being here, with him, alone, wasnât helping. His mind was racing to come up with any solution as she spoke the words, and he silently cursed the situation in his head. Cursing Lupin for being an absolute idiot, cursing Y/N for being so careless. Â
âYouâre sure itâs anâŠaphrodisiac?â He asked lowly, narrowing his eyes slightly as he looked at her.Â
Y/N rolled her eyes at him âYes. Iâm very sure.âÂ
He returned her eye rolling, his expression hardening âIâm just trying to make sure I give you the correct information. What are you feeling, exactly?â Â
âIâm feeling warm and...you know, aroused.â She says, her voice a little lower now. Snape whole mind went blank for a split second. He hadnât expected her to be so straightforward with it, and he didnât know how to handle it. Â
âWarm, andâŠaroused?â He echoed, his voice sounding hoarse as he spoke.Â
âYes. Aroused.â She felt like he was doubting her? No, it was something else. âWhat else do I need to say? That I feel my panties soaked? That I just want someone to fuck me right on this moment so this will pass? That I feel like Iâll die if I donât get a dick right now?âÂ
His eyes darkened as she spoke, the words going straight to his body and making his mind fill with more thoughts he tried desperately to push down âNo, thereâs no need for thatâŠâ He said firmly, a hint of agitation in his voice as he clenched his jaw again. Merlin, why was this situation suddenly so much torturous for him?Â
Snape took a deep breath before continuing, trying to pull himself together âIâm not sure thereâs a specific potion for this sort of predicament.â Â
Y/N groans frustrated, leaning against the wall. Great. He could practically see the frustration rolling off of her. He took another step toward her, despite feeling as though he should do the opposite âIâm trying to find a solution, have a bit of patience, will you?âÂ
âEasy for you to say. Youâre not the one affected by the aphrodisiac.â Y/N says a little sharp than she intended.Â
He couldnât help the slight twitch of irritation that crossed his face as she snapped at him âOh, forgive if you and Lupin canât use a single brain cell to think that open an unknow powder would be a bad idea.âÂ
Another sigh of frustration left her lips âI know, I know. Iâm sorry, I didnât mean to snap at you. Itâs just...hard to think right now.âÂ
âItâs fineâŠdonât apologize, just give me a moment to thinkâŠâ He was irritated, yes, but he also understood what she was going through.Â
She nods and put some more distance between them. âI feel like Iâll die if I donât fuck.â Â
âThatâs the effect of the aphrodisiac. Iâm trying to find a way to help.â Snape was thinking of every potion he knows, every book he ever read about the subject but he couldnât think of nothing to help her with the effects of the powder. Â
âYou can help.â She says, looking at him. Yes, probably her brain turned to jelly right now for her to be saying that. But she couldnât help, she couldnât stand anymore what she was feeling, all the desire, all the lust she have for him taking over.Â
âHow can I help?â He said, his voice suddenly sounding a bit huskier than before. He was starting to struggle with his own thoughts.Â
Y/N takes a few steps forward to him âYou know how.âÂ
His body tensed as he looked at her, the words sinking in, and he found himself torn between trying to fight his own thoughts and desires, or giving in to the situation âYou know I shouldnâtâŠIâm your colleague...âÂ
âI donât care right now.â She says while her hands reach the buttons of his robes, opening one by one. A shudder traveled over his body as he felt her hands working on his black robe, her fingers slowly moving across the buttons. His heart began to speed up further, his breathing growing a bit harsher as he looked down at you.Â
âMerlinâŠâ He breathed, his voice a strangled tone.Â
The robe had a lot of buttons, but soon she finished, discarding somewhere on the floor. She started opening the white button shirt. Snape no longer trying to fight against the situation. He knew there was no point, not anymore. And he wanted this. He wanted her. His shirt soon fell to the floor, leaving him in the undershirt and pants, feeling the heat in his body spreading over his body like wildfire as he stared at you.Â
âHow many layers do you use?â She asks while she pulls the undershirt off his body, also discarding with the other pieces of clothes. Â
Snape couldnât help a small chuckle at her question while she left him in just his pants now, before he spoke âToo manyâŠIâm starting to regret that decisionâŠâÂ
Y/N was fast to pull all of her clothes off, she was desperate for his cock right now. She didnât waste any time and soon she was naked in front of him pulling his pants down with his underwear.Â
He didnât protest as she free him from the last pieces of clothing, his own eagerness to be free from the tight material fueling the movement more than his own actions. He was finally completely naked in front of her. Y/N pulled the potion master to a kiss, a messy and desperate kiss while their bodies were finally together. Â Â
His arms immediately wrapped around her, pulling her even closer to him as his tongue quickly made its way into her mouth, tasting her desperately.Â
A low moan left her mouth both from the kiss and from the feeling of his body against her. His hands began to roam over her body as the kiss continued, his touch desperate and hard as it slid over every inch of your skin. Her hands did the same. He started to maneuverer both of them towards his desk, his mind consumed by his need for her now that he has her right there.Â
He lifted her by her waist and placed her on the edge of the desk, his body pressing between her. Her hands kept exploring his body, until she stopped by his hard cock, slowly stroking him. Â Â
âCarefulâŠdonât tease me unless you want this to end quicklyâŠâ Snape says, looking her with lust in his eyes.Â
âMerlin, no.â she chuckles softly before she wrapped her legs around him to pull him impossible closer. She then whispered on his ear âI need you now.âÂ
A soft growl escaped him as his hands moved to her hips, pulling her closer against him as he positioned himself against her entrance. His eyes never left hers when he slowly entered her with ease.Â
Y/N moans, the feeling even more intense because of the effect of the powder. Snapeâs mind went blank for a moment, his body shuddering against hers as he finally became completely enveloped inside her. He let out a strangled moan, struggling to keep any form of control as he starts to thrust.Â
âFaster.â She says with a small moan. She needed more. He didnât respond verbally, but his body reacted automatically, his hips snapping against hers as he fastens his pace. Â
âYes...âY/N moans again as he speeds up his pace.Â
It didnât take long for Snape starts feeling her tightening on him and he knew she was getting closer, and in that moment, he wanted nothing more than to hear she coming for him. He was breathing hard, his mind lost in the sensations as he continued to move against her, his pace growing faster and more desperate.Â
The sounds of their moans started to get louder as did the sound of their skin against each other. Y/N couldnât hold back anymore. Her orgasm hit her harder than any time before. Her back arched and her eyes rolled from the intensity. Â
Snape felt the clenching around his cock and it didnât take long for him to cum, spilling his hot seed on her. Â
The aphrodisiac finally stopped working as she tries to control her breath. She felt relief like she never felt before after being so affected by the powder. She finally found her voice to speak âThanks...â Â
He looked at her as he pulls out of her, his breathing still coming out in harsh pants as he spoke âYouâreâŠwelcomeâŠâ Y/N suddenly started laughing, confusing Snape. It was almost absurd that a situation like this ended with her laughing, but here she was âWhatâs so funny?âÂ
âI canât believe you just fucked me on your desk.â She says between her laugh. Â
He chuckled, his expression still a bit amused âYou find it funny that we did it on my deskâŠand not the fact that this whole situation occurred because you were affected by an aphrodisiac?âÂ
âThat too.â She says, chuckling and slowly getting off the table. Â
Snape chuckled again, watching as she slowly stood up. He quickly reached for his wand, cleaning the mess of the desk before speaking âI suppose this means the aphrodisiac is no longer a concern, then?âÂ
Y/N nods, grabbing their clothes from the ground and giving his to him. Â
He takes his clothes back, a somewhat awkward feeling beginning to settle as he began re-dressing, not looking at her âAnd I assume youâll want to forget this wholeâŠsituation, yes?âÂ
She did the same with her clothes âI...âÂ
As she spoke, he paused, his hands stilling at the button of his shirt as he finally looked over at her with a slight raise of his eyebrow âYou what?âÂ
Y/N looked at him, all dressed âIt would be too bad if I said I donât?âÂ
Snape paused for a moment, his heart giving a slight flutter as he heard her words âAre youâŠsaying what I think youâre saying?â She looked at him, apprehensive of his reaction. Maybe this was one side thing. He held her gave for a moment before walking over to her and kissing her. The kiss was different. It was more gentle, more soft. He finally pulled away, his hand coming up to play with a piece of her hair "Remind me to thank Lupin for being an absolutely moron."Â

SOMETHING THERE (Caged Warcraft Orc/Reader)
Summary: Orcs have invaded your world and you're tasked with taking care of a very angry, very injured imprisoned orc. But he's not the only one that's going to be taken care of.
Authorâs Note: Hello, lovelies! A little while ago I got sent an ask here about the captured orc in the movie Warcraft (you can read the post here). I love the concept so much that I just had to write about him. He's unnamed in the movie so I just refer to him as an orc throughout this. This can be read as a generic orc x human story but just know this was written specifically with this big drooling guy in mind. Hope you enjoy!
Warnings/tags: 18+ MDNI, fem! reader, orc x human, canon divergent, smut with some plot, teratophillia/monsterfucking, injured character, conversation about mates, teasing, size difference (this orc is bigger than you no matter your size), let's pretend that Warcraft orcs would actually fit for a moment, fingering, standing sex, rough sex, unprotected p in v, some degradation, possessiveness, he's mean I don't know what else to tell you, choking, hair pulling, semi public sex (?), Lothar makes an appearance, no aftercare, NOT beta read
Word count: 4.7k
Your job had been straightforward for the most part. You were a handmaiden often tasked with cleaning and maintaining the kingdom's dungeons. There had never been many prisoners kept in the lower parts of the castle, not while you had been of service there at least. Most of the time the cells were empty and you were often tasked with taking care of other parts of the castle instead, places frequently overlooked by the other maids.
But all of a sudden you found yourself busier than usual when a handful of knights dragged in a nearly dead creature of the likes you had never seen before. It took multiple men to pull him down the steps of the dungeons and into a barred cell.
Lothar, a man you had become friends with, followed behind his fellow knights, watching as they hovered around the prisoner.
âWhat exactly is he?â you asked quietly.
You had met all types of denizens of Azeroth. Elves, dwarves, worgenâŠ.but never anyone like the large, tusked man that laid before you.
Lothar shrugged, not knowing the answer to the question.
âIf I knew I would tell you. They justâŠshowed up. I donât know where they came from. Or how many there are. We took the other one to the king for questioning. Sheâs tiny compared to the rest of them,â he mumbled.
You looked down at the floor, staring at the smeared trail of blood leading from the stairs to the cell.
âHeâs wounded?â you questioned, looking back at the cell.
âYes, he was going to attack the other one we captured. Can you keep him alive?â Lothar asked.
You nodded. You had cared for injured and sick prisoners before. Some of them probably wouldnât have lived if it wasnât for you.
âIâll need supplies though.â
âIâll get you everything you need. Just be careful and try to keep your distance as much as possible. He doesnât seem to be the friendliest,â he said.
Lothar left you with the other knights, disappearing up the stairs. After a few minutes, he returned with a box of supplies, far more than enough to heal any wounds. He ushered the other knights out and wished you luck as he sauntered away.
You had unlocked the cell and spent a considerable amount of time trying to remove the rugged bone armor and leather from the sleeping creature's chest. You then began cleaning and stitching the stab wound, silently cursing Lothar for creating such a nasty wound to begin with. Never once did the being move or wake. His breathing was weak and a part of you thought he might die right then and there from the amount of blood he had lost.
But his chest continued to rise and fall as you snipped the end of the stitches with your shears. A sigh of relief escaped your lips as you sat there for a moment, watching the sleeping creature.
He was large, bigger than any human you had ever seen. He had long greying hair and an untamed beard. Although his eyes were closed you could tell that one had been previously injured, the skin around it scarred and almost red. On the opposite side of his face, a deep scar ran from his lip up the side of his face. There were pieces of metal embedded in the skin where the wound had been closed and healed over the metal.
There was a part of you, deep inside your mind that found the rugged stranger quite attractive. But you ignored that part of your mind, pushing those thoughts aside. You knew nothing about the being that laid before you and you werenât going to let curiosity get the better of you.
You wrapped a bandage around his shoulder and chest, something that proved to be quite difficult with how large he was. But you managed to do it regardless, securing the bandage so it wouldnât move.
You stood up and walked out of the cell, closing the door behind you.
There was still blood all over the floor and you quickly turned your attention to that, scrubbing the floors by hand, something you had done time and time again.
About an hour passed and as you found yourself on your knees, scrubbing the last bit of blood off the floor you heard shuffling. You glanced over your shoulder to see the creature waking up, slowly sitting up, reaching for his chest and grimacing in pain.
He shook his head and looked around, growling as he slowly became more conscious. His head turned, stopping when his eyes laid on you. For a moment neither of you moved, staring at each other, but then the creature lurched forward toward the bars and let out a roar. You jumped back in surprise, almost knocking over the bucket of water sitting beside you.
The roar ceased as he grabbed his chest once again, falling onto his knees in pain. Your fear was quickly replaced with worry, standing up quickly and walking closer to the cell.
âYou canât do that. Youâll make the wound open back up,â you said.
He snarled and said something in a language you had never heard before. He sat back against the wall, glaring at you.
âI donât understand what youâre saying,â you said.
He didnât say anything else. He just sat there, grumbling and holding his chest.
And thatâs how almost every day had gone for weeks. He would over-exert himself out of anger, trying to break through the bars of his cell. You would scold him, telling him he needed to rest, which he would ignore. He would yell at you in his native tongue and you would ignore him, setting down food and water in front of the bars, just enough for him to reach the plate but not you.
Some days the yelling and banging on the bars would get so loud that the knights that stood guard at the entrance of the dungeon came rushing in, scared for your safety. You would shoo them away, assuring the worried knights that you were fine. They were honestly happy to leave, not wanting to be so close to the creature behind the bars.
Not all days were like that though. Sometimes he was quiet, too tired to do his usual routine of raging. On those days you would talk to him while you cleaned or while he sat and ate, filling the void of silence with your voice.
You would just talk about things on your mind, gossip from the other handmaidens, stories you had heard from the knights that would try to flirt with you and impress you with their war stories. The table and chair that had been set out for you slowly inched closer every day as you sat and talked to him during lunch.
You rarely ever had anyone to talk to throughout the day. Sometimes one of the knights would join you for lunch or Lothar would talk with you as you cleaned when he wasnât busy, but it was a rare occasion. So now you found yourself droning on to the prisoner during your time spent cleaning and your breaks. He didnât seem to mind but you honestly couldnât tell. His face often had some form of a grimace on it, a snarl always daring to creep up.
You werenât sure if he could understand you either until one day, while the two of you ate, you finally asked him a question that had been on your mind.
âWhat exactly are you? Lothar hasnât answered the question yet. Youâre not humanâŠnot an elf. Your teeth are kind of like a trollâs teeth. A bit smaller than theirs though,â you rambled.
You didnât expect him to say anything. On days like this, he never said anything. After a moment, he broke the silence with one word.
âOrc.â
You looked up from where you sat, glancing through the bars of the cell. He was looking back at you, his working eye staring at you.
âAn orc? Thatâs what you are?â you asked.
âYes,â he said.
âSo youâve been able to understand me this entire time?â
âYes.â
He leaned his head back against the wall, looking up at the ceiling. He didnât say anything for the rest of the day.
A couple more weeks passed and the caged orc had seemingly calmed down. He no longer yelled and raged on, often sitting in silence.
But sometimes he would speak, occasionally answering questions you had about orcs and his culture. He was often cold, even mean when it came to replying, but you simply shook it off.
You asked him about his cloudy eye and the large scar running up his face. That seemed to perk him up. For the first time in almost a month, his cold demeanor dropped. He told you about the fights he won, boasting about how many times he had come close to death. It was the first time he had ever been talkative. Usually, he would give short responses to your questions but now he was painting vivid pictures for you as he told a story for every scar.
âAnd this,â he brought his hand up to the healing stab wound on his chest, âis nothing. A scratch.â
You couldnât help but chuckle.
âYou laugh, but itâs true. Your tiny knights couldnât kill me if they tried,â he said.
âLothar came pretty close,â you chuckled.
He frowned, a growl escaping his lips as he stood up and slowly walked towards you. You sat just out of reach from him, you had moved your table even closer to the cell over the past few days. Despite his gruff attitude he had begun to grow on you. You enjoyed talking to him and maybe even staring at him a little.
You took a sip from your water as he stepped closer, gripping his hand around one of the metal bars.
âYou talk about that one a lot. Is he your mate?â he questioned, his voice low.
The question took you by surprise, causing you to choke on your water.
âNoâŠno. Heâs not. Weâre notâŠno,â you said in between coughs.
The orc hummed, sounding almost amused by your answer and frantic coughing.
âNo? One of the other knights then? Or one of those handmaidens youâre always talking about?â the orc asked.
You shook your head as you sat your glass down.
âI donât have aâŠmate.â The word felt foreign to your lips. You could feel your face heat up as you frowned, averting your eyes from the orc.
There was a small moment of silence before you heard him chuckle, the sound of his voice echoing off the stone walls.
âDonât be embarrassed. Iâm sure youâll find a puny little knight one of these days. Although I doubt they could keep you satisfied,â he said.
Your jaw dropped a bit, shocked by the sudden forwardness of the orc.
âI think Iâll be satisfied,â you said, scoffing.
âI highly doubt it. The men of your species seemâŠinadequate,â he said, sitting back down.
You couldnât help but stare at him. Why was he talking about this? What was he getting at?
You shook your head, deciding to change the subject.
âHow is your wound?â you asked.
âI told you. Itâs just a scratch,â he mumbled.
âYou were stabbed with a sword. Youâre lucky youâre even alive,â you sighed.
He scoffed, sounding offended that you would even suggest that he couldâve died.
âMay I please check it? To make sure itâs not infected?â you asked.
âI guess,â he grumbled.
You stood up, walking closer to the cell. You swore you could hear Lothar in your mind scolding you for doing exactly what he said not to do. But you couldnât exactly keep your distance if you wanted to do your job properly.
The orc leaned towards the metal bars as your hands snaked through, untucking the bandages and slowly pulling them off of his chest. The orc grimaced at the sensation, traces of dried blood had caused the bandages to stick to his skin. You hadnât had the opportunity to clean it. It was the first time since he had first arrived that you felt comfortable enough to get close enough to examine him.
âIt looksâŠfine. It could use a little cleaning though. Wish I had a healing potion to give you but I donât know any alchemists,â you said in a quiet voice.
âI donât need any of that,â he grumbled, looking down at you.
âAt least let me clean it. Surely dying from infection isnât the way you want to go,â you joked.
âFine,â he chuckled.
You smiled. It was odd hearing the orc laugh but you found it slightly endearing.
You turned, grabbing your supplies from the table and turning back around to the orc. You hummed to yourself as you cleaned his skin with a washcloth, wiping away all of the traces of dried blood.
âNo mate,â the orc said, snapping you out of your thoughts.
You looked up at him, confused.
âWhat?â
âYou have no mate,â he said.
Really, this subject again?
âYes, I thought we established this?â you asked.
âWhy?â he asked.
âWhy are you so interested in this subject?â you mumbled.
âYou ask stupid questions all the time. Why can I not ask you a question?â he said.
You rolled your eyes and looked away from him, focusing your attention back on his wound.
âI donât know. Just havenât found the right person. Why do you care anyway? Itâs not like we could be mates,â you huffed.
âAnd why is that?â
He was looking down at you. You felt your face heat up a bit as you averted your gaze.
âYouâre tooâŠmean. And grumpy. And Iâm ninety percent sure you were going to try to kill me for the first few weeks you were here,â you said.
You turned away from him, grabbing a new roll of gauze.
âIâm not trying to kill you now,â he said.
You unrolled the gauze and started wrapping it around his chest.
âYeahâŠI know. Can we please drop this subject? Itâs not like I would be your type anyway.â
âType?â he questioned, not understanding the phrase.
âYour type. Itâs what youâre attracted to. Now shush and let me finish,â you said.
There was a moment of silence between the two of you. All of a sudden it was becoming very hard to think clearly. Something about being so close to the orc while he was watching your every movement was managing to make your head foggy. Sure, you found him attractive. Something about his ruggedness and size was alluring. But you never expected him to make your knees weak. And he hadnât even done anything to you.
You did your best to ignore whatever feelings were brewing inside of you as you finished bandaging his chest.
âThere,â you said, âall better.â
âThank you,â the orc grumbled.
The rest of the day came and went quietly, all without a word about the previous conversation. You found yourself staring at him. Your stomach felt fluttery and it was becoming more and more difficult to suppress what you had felt all along.
When you went to bed that night you couldnât help but repeat the conversation in your head, completely puzzled by the orcsâ fascination with the fact that you were âunmatedâ.
Such an odd thing to be hung up on.
What was worse was that your own fascination with the orc seemed to be getting stronger.
So much so that you couldnât sleep. You tossed and turned all night, your mind racing just at the thought of the imprisoned orc.
So much so that when you finally did fall asleep, you dreamed about him. You were being held by him in your dream, the same way you had hoped to one day be held by a knight or maybe even a skillful mage. But for some odd reason, the thought of being held by the orc brought you more comfort than every silly knight fantasy you ever had.
So much so that the next day you found yourself scooting your table and chair closer to his cell. Something you had already done but now you were repeating the process every day for a week, slowly inching it closer and closer.
So much so that you started to purposely loosen the laces at the top of your dress. At this point, you werenât sure what was overtaking your mind. You found yourself wanting to tease him, something you never thought youâd do.
So much so that you had been lingering in the dungeon well past the curfew given to the maids. You wanted to be in his presence. To say he was growing on you was an understatement.
So much so that about a week later when you bent down to pick up his plate, something you had done every day since he arrived, you didnât walk away from the cell.
This time the orc gripped you by your hair, yanking you back hard against the bars of the cell. You yelped as the plate dropped to the floor. He let go of your hair and his hand snaked through the bars, wrapping it around your throat. His other hand rested on your stomach, holding you in place.
âAre you done teasing?â he asked as his grip tightened around your throat.
âTeasing?â you squeaked.
âDo you really think Iâm clueless? Every day you get closer and closer to this cage. Youâve been staying in here late at night. And your breasts have practically been falling out of your dress. Itâs almost like youâre begging me to rip it off you,â he growled.
He was absolutely right. You had been caught red-handed.
âAre you going to explain yourself, human?â
He had you pressed against him so tightly that it was almost hard to breathe. You could feel something hardening against your backside and that fluttery feeling started building in your stomach.
âI justâŠâ
âYou just what?â he said.
âI just want you to touch me,â you said just above a whisper.
âSay that again. I didnât quite hear you.â
You couldnât see his face but you just knew there was a smirk plastered across it.
âTouch me. I want you to touch me,â you repeated.
âJust a few days ago I was âtoo meanâ for you but now look at you. All needy. Maybe if you ask nicely. Maybe if you beg,â he hummed.
Now he was the one teasing. He didnât move, his hands didnât even flinch. He just held you tight, pressing you against his erection.
âPlease. May you please touch me?â
You were almost whining, pushing back against him. He chuckled, finding your neediness amusing.
He let go of your throat and turned you around so you were facing him. Sticking his hand through the cell, he brought it up to your bust and gripped your dress, ripping the fabric down the front like it was a piece of parchment. You gasped as it fell to the ground, leaving you in nothing but your underwear.
âI liked that dress,â you pouted.
Not to mention the fact that it was technically your work uniform. A problem you would deal with later you supposed.
âYou look better without it. Now take those off unless you want them ripped as well,â he said, looking down at you.
You nodded as you slipped off your undergarments, tossing them to the side.
He pulled you closer to the bars until you were almost pressed against them, lifting up one of your legs with his hand, cupping underneath your knee. His free hand snaked down and one of his large fingers found its way to your cunt, spreading apart your folds.
âYou might as well be dripping. Already so wet and I havenât even got started yet,â he said.
The orc didnât give you time to respond as he slowly began pushing his finger inside of you, stretching you out as your walls wrapped around his massive digit. A moan escaped your lips and it echoed throughout the room.
âSshhh, be quiet,â he shushed you, as he began to pump his finger inside of you.
His thumb rubbed against your clit, drawing little circles around it as his other fingers thrust in and out of your pussy.
You mindlessly ground into his hand, adding to the friction and causing ripples of pleasure to shoot through your body. You had never felt this full before. The size of one of his fingers was almost triple the size of a humanâs.
Soon he was adding a second finger, gathering your wetness and pushing into your entrance, curling with every thrust of his hand.
âGotta stretch you out if you want to take me,â he mumbled, fucking his hand into you at a quicker pace.
Your legs were trembling and you could feel yourself clenching around his fingers. His thumb rolled over your clit faster, pressing down on the sensitive bud.
You did your best to stifle your moan as your orgasm hit you.
âThere you go. Cum on my hand,â he said.
One of your hands gripped onto a cell bar while the other reached through, reaching up and pressing against his shoulder for support.
He didnât give you time to recover before his fingers slipped out of you and his other hand let go of your leg. His hands unfastened his pelt, revealing his hardened cock underneath. It felt like there was a lump in your throat as you swallowed, looking down at it. You could see why he insisted on stretching you out beforehand. You were a bit worried about it fitting inside of you.
âDonât worry, itâll fit,â he said as if he could read your mind, âNow turn around and bend over.â
You did as he said, turning your back towards him and leaning down. His hand grazed over your ass for a moment, giving it a light squeeze before he reached forward and grabbed your arms. He held your wrists behind your back, his large hands covering them completely. His other hand held his cock, sliding it against your clit, teasing you with the head.
You groaned, wanting to push back on him, but he held you firmly in place.
He slid his cock towards your entrance and began slowly pushing into the hole. You stretched around him, the feeling felt so new to you that it sent shivers up your spine. Although his fingers had done a good job stretching you out, it was still nowhere enough to accommodate the size of the orcsâ cock.
You felt him tug ever so slightly on your wrists, pulling your entire body closer to him, sliding into you at an agonizing pace.
Another moan began to slip from your mouth, unintentionally loud. Before it could come all the way out, his hand moved from your wrists to your mouth, muffling your moan as he continued slowly pushing his cock into you. He growled, a low rumble coming from his chest.
âShush, you donât want your little knights to come running in here, do you? You want them to see you like this?â
You shook your head, slightly horrified at the thought of a knight walking in, especially if that knight happened to be Lothar. You hadnât even given that possibility a thought.
âThen be quiet for once,â the orc said.
You nodded, and his hand slipped away from your mouth. This time it settled on your shoulder, his other hand slipping off his cock and gripping onto your hip.
He held onto you as he began to slowly rock into you, thrusting the rest of his length into you. Your back arched as pain and pleasure crept up inside of you.
âIs this what you wanted?â he asked in a patronizing tone.
His hips were slamming against you, he was giving you no amount of time to adjust to his size. His balls slapped against your cunt with every thrust. That and the sound of you squelching around him radiated through the dungeon.
He reached forward, gripping your hair once more, pulling you all the way to the bars. You hissed as he yanked your head back.
âI asked you a question. Is this what you wanted?â he questioned.
âYes. Ah-yes, this is what I wanted,â you said.
He let go of your hair, pushing you back down with his hand as he continued to pound into you through the cell bars.
âLook at you. Pathetic human. Taking my cock like a greedy slut,â he chuckled.
It was becoming increasingly difficult to hold back your moans. Every thrust was unrelenting. You could feel him sliding against that spongy spot inside of you and it was slowly pushing you closer to the edge.
You were getting louder and louder, whimpering as the orc fucked you.
His thrusts suddenly halted and you whined.
âNo, whyâd you stop?â you asked, near tears.
âI thought I told you to be quiet?â
âYou did but-â
âBut what?â he said.
âPlease keep fucking me. I donât care if they hear us. I only care about you,â you pleaded.
You werenât sure what had overcome you but it was true. In that moment all you cared about was the orc behind you.
There was a brief pause before the orcsâ hands were wrapping around you, pulling you as close as he possibly could despite the cell bars between you. It was like something snapped in him as he began rutting into you, burying his cock deep inside of you with every roll of his hips.
You moaned, not caring if anyone heard you. You were so wrapped up in the pleasure that you werenât even sure if you cared anymore if someone walked in.
âYouâre mine, do you understand? Iâve ruined you. None of those pathetic knights can have this,â the orc growled behind you.
You were at a loss for words as ecstasy washed over you, too in a daze to answer.
âYou donât want them anyway, huh? Iâve stretched you out so much that only Iâll be able to satisfy you.â
You didnât say anything but your body answered for you, clenching around his cock as he fucked you. And he noticed, grip tightening around you almost immediately like he was afraid youâd somehow slip away.
âOh, you like that? You like that Iâve ruined you for everyone else? You want me to make you my mate, donât you?â he said.
You found yourself nodding your head, not even thinking about it. Maybe it was just the pleasure or maybe there was truly something else. Something there deep in the back of your mind that wanted more of him.
âAll mine,â he groaned.
Your body shook as you reached your second climax, moaning as you tightened around him.
âThatâs it. Thatâs it. Cum on my cock. Just like that,â he grunted, still thrusting into you.
You were whimpering underneath him, slowly becoming overstimulated as he chased his own high, bucking into you. His cock twitched as he moaned, cumming deep inside of you. His hands were still wrapped around you, holding you through the bars as he filled you up.
Before you could pull away there were sounds of footsteps coming down the stairs.
Your mind was too foggy to even react when you looked up, seeing the all too familiar face of Lothar stopping at the dungeon entrance.
âOh myâŠ.what are you twoâŠput some clothes on!â
Lothar had covered his eyes with his hand, completely in shock.
The orc chuckled, letting go of you completely. Your legs buckled underneath you and you stumbled forward, slipping off his cock and falling to the ground.
You heard the jingle of keys before they were tossed near you, sliding on the stone floor.
âI was coming to let him out. He can thank his chieftain. Iâm justâŠIâm going to go,â Lothar said, rushing out of the room.
You laid on the floor for a moment. Too exhausted to move, too embarrassed as well. You could feel the orcâs cum leaking out of you onto the stone. You wouldâve fallen asleep right there if it wasnât for the voice of the orc pulling you back to reality.
âAre you going to lay there all day or are you going to let me out, my sweet mate?â
