I play D&D sometimes with my brother and/or his friends on his discord server and good god it’s so hard being the only bitch out here who plays D&D for the roleplay

so i'm trying to follow hans around, even if i know people said he doesn't say anything to henry except from normal greetings and such. which is a shame but i'm not complaining. however, something really wholesome happened

i know it could just be part of his standard routine, but he was outside early in the morning, visited the baths for a beer and fix his knife, then it started raining. he went back to devil's den, walked to his and henry's room and started reading at candlelight as the rain poured

He got dragged into a wedding dress butique at the girls' night out.

As much as i like putting robots in dresses, i hc that Omega honestly kinda dislikes/doesn't care for women's/fem apparel. In his eyes they emphasize all the wrong things (looking soft/dainty/sweet). Not to mention how impractical e.g. dresses are.

It took a lot of convincing get him to try the stuff on:

Rouge (currently rocking a party dress herself): “Do i give off [any of the words on Omega's list] vibes? How about Blaze (in a light summer dress) over here?"

Omega (who hasn't & doesn't associate either of them with "softness" etc.,): "mmmmmmmmmmm" (If he answers truthfully he's gonna get roped into "Say Yes to The Dress")

And Omega finds out that he doesn't mind some of the dresses. That a select few actually... look quite good on him:

They either clash nicely (depicted dress) in a way that accentuates his form by putting something soft & light against his angular & heavyset build, or bring up other positive aspects - things Omega only now learned to look for/analyse in fashion - e.g. boldness/grandness/fierceness. He doesn't mind that at all.

im sorry but this is so funny to me. like the idea of dan loving phil but it not being reciprocated is of course very unrealistic, but also insane like 😭 imagine dan howell being so down bad for phil he decides to just spend every single moment with the guy, he decides to live with him and buy a house together, only to be heartbroken every single day i guess ???

I do think that people's opinions on the ethics of the gods as mortals plan vs. the gods behind the Divine Gate depends a lot on whether the focus on the gods' actions are prevention or punishment.

(I'm saying this while realizing that leaving the gods behind the divine gate and letting them sort it out amongst each other was impossible after BH let Predathos out)

What happened in Aeor specifically and the Calamity in general was horrible. And if you think the gods should pay for what they did, taking away their power or driving them out makes sense - it's punishment. But it does nothing to prevent future Calamities from happening, and in truth, letting Asmodeus out as a level 20 'mortal' who can come out of mortality at any time once Predathos is gone seems like it's going to cause more humanoid death. Not to mention power vacuums, Vecna, the gods getting Typhros, and other possible issues...

If you're thinking about it from a punishment perspective, it seems unjust that the prime deities got to choose their own consequences by going behind the Divine Gate. But the thing is - it was extremely effective from a prevention perspective! People still did things in the gods' names, but people are going to be horrible anyway. The gods didn't step on any ants for 800 years. Keeping Predathos sealed worked for literal ages longer (I've been envisioning it as 50-100k years but we don't know how long the earlier ages lasted)

So, is the focus more on keeping future people from being harmed, or is it on making sure that the gods pay for what they did?

Your partner found you absolutely sobbing on the kitchen floor, heaving your shoulders with heavy gasps and wails, complete with a tear-stained, puffy red face that looked like you'd been crying for quite a while before he found you.

"Hey, hey!" Jeff took a quick scan to see if anything was out of place, or if any blood leaked out of places they shouldn't.

Everything seemed fine, excluding the mess of cooking ingredients around you. Crumbles of cornstarch showed no mercy to your tears, strewn about the kitchen after what seemed like a tantrum of throwing it on the floor.

"What happened, my sweet?" Jeff asked softly, kneeling down in front of you and cupping your pathetic little face between his palms.

You were blubbering and crying so hard, Jeff could barely piece together the words to help you.

"I JOUSt AWANTed [hic] I wAOUNTED to MaUOKE- I WANt eD to MAKOE MI FaOrVuTIe [hic] CHciEKAn saUOUCEEEeEeeeee"

"Ohhh, you wanted your favorite sauce to eat? Were you trying to make it?"

" yeah :("

"Ohh, my poor little [Y/N]..." He cooed and pulled you in closer, and you cried harder, knowing how safe you could feel with him.

And you two stayed there on the kitchen floor, covered in cornstarch as he rocked you to calmness.

And it turned quiet and peaceful, and your hiccups and sobs have long since died down as Jeff rubbed your back.

This only made you realize how good of a partner he is, and triggered the waterfalls again.

He couldn't help with laugh a little, "Why are you crying again?"

Do you think they’re setting things for Buck and Tommy to be possible endgame? It seems like too much trouble for being only for closure…

in my humble opinion, chances are they're getting back together. again: closure classically happens at the end of the journey during the finale to mark the end of a chapter, and not in the middle of a large-scale two-parter with 3 episodes left in the season. the presumed set-up (a worried off-duty buck speaking to on-duty tommy before he hops into his helicopter for whatever big emergency tim has planned) doesn't suggest closure to me either. if anything it implies that tommy might get involved in a dangerous situation later on which may open the door for a dramatic reconciliation. as for endgame potential... well if they do makeup after a near-death experience, it's sure to be impactful and remembered by the audience. hard to top that scenario. i wouldn't break them up again.

but what do i know? i'm no tim minear and it all depends on the journey buck will take in the next few episodes. let's wait and see

It dawned on me that I'm roleplaying as a Japanese grade schooler the way the two shows I'm currently watching are Kamen Rider and Precure, and I feel like I really should change that, but I think adding a third show to my queue when it's already a challenge to keep a steady pace would be inadvisable to say the least
