I found K-Pop in late 2019, before the pandemic. The first song I ever heard was BTS's Idol. Then, I became curious and fell headfirst into the K-Pop world. It really helped ground me throughout the pandemic, and I haven't came out since.

Honkai Star Rail:

I’m not ashamed to say that Aventurine drove me to this fandom. Because I save so much Haikaveh stuff on Pinterest, and the recommendations are visually sorted, it wasn’t long before my algorithm started mistaking Aventurine for Kaveh. 

I was very intrigued, actually— I quickly became obsessed after I saw the gay-ass lightcone. Aventio? ...Yeah, it was over for me. I started playing in late december of 2023, and I saved my pulls from the beginning to pull Aventurine ever since I knew he would be playable :) I was successful and now have a very well-built Aventurine, his lightcone and his Veritas.

I am obsessed with Harmony chars. I finally pulled Ruan Mei and her lightcone, so now I have all of them ehe, and they're all built exceptionally well.

Wuthering Waves:

I saw lots of adverts for the game and was really interested in the lore (oh god I'm such a lore player) and I ended up really liking the gameplay! A lot of people are comparing it to Genshin but honestly..? I like the gameplay of WuWa more skgdkagksgax but the lore is equal in my head. I play with the CN voice dub because it actually has emotion!!

I fell in love with Jianxin before the game's release when I was scrollong through wikis, and adored Yangyang as soon as the game began lol. Camellya was fun to meet because she matches a concept I had for an oc almost exactly-- which is fun!!

it was actually namjoon! @livelocks sent me the wildflower mv when I didn't listen to any k-pop and I was like "damn, that's a piece of art". I WAS RIGHT.

jimin (and then yoongi) and they still are oops lol

ok so if I had to rank them jimin would be my ult and yoongi right behind but I was just drawn to his kindness and just general brightness and gosh was I right cause if love was personified it would be park jimin (see his last weverse posts for proof). also, his love & passion for dancing, it literally shines through him and I just!!!! love him so much

for real, one of my v.favorite things was getting to see Saul & Sky's humble home. it was such a sweet insight.

anon I'm still processing but the glimpses of Saul & Sky home life that we got? I lost my mind. Saul taught Sky how to ride a fucking horse. Saul got drunk every night for two years in that house after Aster Dell until he cleaned himself up (or Farah & Ben made him). Stella came over, Saul cooked dinner. Saul had a library in which he studied ancient languages for funsies. He kept his father's sword and gave it to Sky. They had a little house just the two of them against the world.

It just made them much more REAL to me.

Andreas had been to that house. Andreas burned down the house in which he and Saul shared their own young adult memories. Andreas saw Sky's shrine to him and burned it all down anyway--but first he took one baby picture.

So Interview With The Vampire is apparently airing? Or available on AMC+ now? A Twitter friend just tweeted about how good the 1st ep was. The time difference between America and the UK is crazy.

Here it's the 30th of September, 4am, and right now, the UK has no way of watching the show.😭😡

It is likely to be included with BT TV since their package includes AMC, but I don't have that, & it involves talking to them about wifi and getting a box etc. We don't get AMC+ here in the UK yet. And they've not said if they're giving it to Disney+ or Prime like they've done with other things.

So, I don't know when or where this show is coming out, and I honestly feel a little fucking cross. I'd just like to watch the gay vampire show without having to learn how to do piracy or do a million and one internet searches!

So I'm gonna block the tags for it, and also...TAG YOUR SPOILERS PLEASE! Thank you.

So my BatCat fic that I wrote and posted last night (Call It What You Want To) did really well and I've had 3 lovely comments on it!

This has inspired me to write another BatCat fanfic, but I'm not sure what to do for it! So, I want to ask you awesome people on here, should I write:

a) a reunion fic that follows Call It What You Want To?

b) just a random reunion fic, possibly with an identity reveal?

c) missing/extended BatCat moments from the movie?

d) identity reveal fic with Bruce Wayne & Selina interactions beforehand?

I am afraid to go into the Interview With The Vampire tags right now....I know episode 5 was a lot, and it definitely needed trigger warnings for sure, but I...

I hesitate to say I enjoyed it, but I found it interesting to watch and will keep watching the show, and I also don't feel that the wave of panic about Lestat's character being butchered is true.

Also the people crying about not being able to ship Loustat after this when a lot of you ship Hannigram.....do I need to explain?? Really?🤨

I just don't wanna see the hate and negativity, I just wanna see nice gifs and art etc. and I have a feeling I won't get that.

His new lover may be petty and vindictive, but he’d never leave Louis to die, not after everything he’d done to keep Louis with him so far.”

An extended cut of what happened between Lestat opening the gate and him carrying Louis up the stairs, and then a little extended cut of them after Lestat invites Louis into the coffin.

Hi Goldy: I just recently started reading your blog and I would like your thoughts on something. I am 100% convinced JiKook is a real relationship-there's just too much evidence to deny it. :-) I love their connection. I wonder about your thoughts on it being even more difficult for the members/company/fans to accept since JK is often portrayed as the heartthrob/can't do anything wrong member of the group? Do you think that makes it harder for everyone to accept that their Golden Maknae is gay?

I don't know how to feel about Gay and wrong and acceptance being neighbors in a sentence. Sounds like a set up to an unsolicited, unwanted advice about gender and sexuality.

There's nothing wrong with being gay or queer. If people can't accept Jungkook is gay because they think he does no wrong because they interchange gay and wrong in a sentence then those people need to be castrated and mummified alive.

That being said, I think I understand where you are coming from. Jungkook gets away with a lot within the fandom- not so much within the group. Unless of course, you're counting the messing with his hyungs and making them pay for stuff and him acting bratty with certain hyungs.

I mean being Maknae has its perks.

But I think the group holds him to much higher standards especially within Jikook's dynamic, which to me is crazy because Jimin is the hyung in that group.

Yet most times- untill dynamite era last year- they sort of had this weird Jimin is always right schtick going on within the group. And you could see this especially with RM and Suga when it came to the JK vs JM moments. I have a post saved in drafts on this topic and so I won't get much into it.

But yea, a lot has changed since October and you see this shift mostly in RM and JM's dynamics- I recall dropping hints here and there about how I felt Minimoni needed to spend more time together off cams cos I thought it would be good for their dynamic? There's been a lopsided shift in Kookminjoon's dynamic and I think it's quite telling of how they have handled Jikook's relationship even on that personal level.

I think more than anyone in BTS Jk has gone up against stereotypes and people's assumptions of him and he's always stood his grounds.

People take him as he is. They don't have a choice really. He doesn't bend himself to be consumable. If he did he wouldn't be spotting them tattoes and piercings. I think he is the least consumable member in BTS according to Kpop idol standards- in certain aspects. He don't be moving like a typical idol is what I'm saying- he doesn't sway too far away either.

Do I think he gets away with a lot in this fandom? ABSOLUTELY. A lot of idol's careers have ended for far less- the scandals, the body art, the ghetto gayness etc. He really doesn't give a fuck what anyone thinks of him. If he wants to get a tat he will. If he wants to fuck his band mate he will. Jeikei does what Jeikei wants.

I think if he came out today to say he likes men, or girls, or three breasted aliens- we will say ok and keep it pushing because he's gradually conditioned us to accept and be ok with who he is over the years.

I don't think he negotiates negotiates his person with anyone. He may make compromises here and there but if push came to shove I think he would what he wants and what makes him happy and not what others want of him. He pushes the boundaries on the limits of what it means to be an idol in KPop and I think more so than Jimin he is the one best fitted to change the status quo in terms of the LGBTQIA discourse.

Jimin is a different case all together. He is an idol true and true and it makes me sad that he used to care so much what people thought of him and that he always tried to make others happy at his expense. And I can understand him because putting himself first and doing what he wants- especially in recent times, have come with consequences. He is constantly negotiating, straddling the line and trying to keep the balance- which is kind of a libra curse so I can't be mad at that really. But it sucks in the grand scheme of the LGBTQ agenda.

Whatever people think Jikook are, I think they are the exact opposite of it. It's just a matter of them showing it or living up to their truth I think. I love Jungkook- as a gay woman. I love that he is with JM because I feel they can accomplish a lot together if only JM will allow him to push his boundaries a little bit more and not resist it so much.

I think a lot of people can't believe and accept JK is gay because they are homophobic period or they have a very narrow view on life and gender and sexuality or they have just been bamboozled and they get thrown off by the mainstream hyper masculine image JK presents- which I think also stems from their being used to the stereotypes of gayness rather than gayness itself. They couldn't tell a gay man if he licked balls right in front of their salad.

A lot of what people see as gay is nothing but tropes and stereotypes of gayness. And so when they see a gay man who doesn't fall under those stereotypes they struggle to wrap their heads around it. In my opinion.

It's easier, for instance, for people to think masculine presenting women are queer than for them to wrap their heads around someone like beyonce being a lesbian- It's a loose analogy but sis work with me- I'm tired. Lol. And I say this from experience, between my sister and I, people often think she is the gay one. Lmho. Yet she is the least likely to be gay in my family. My little brother is bisexual if not gay chilee. Lol. We are the only queer ones in the family I think. But people clock him more so than I because he's effeminate. I often pass for a het- which sometimes I feel guilty about but this is not about me. Focus Goldy. [Also edit n delete ma'am]

I think it's the same for people's perception of gay men though. It's easier for people to wrap their heads around gay Jimin than gay Jk on that spectrum because Jimin fits a more traditional stereotype of gayness.

Truth is, anyone can be gay regardless of how they look or how they present as. Me when I look at BTS, JK is the most likely to dip his dick in some guts or try that gay shit at least once and next to him JM is the most likely member. Put those two together and I don't need my gay crystal ball to figure they might be screwing.

I gotta admit, I know some people who don't want to believe JK might be queer because they know the struggles that come with that identity. It could be they themselves are homophobic and have perpetrated violence and aggressions towards gay people- the karma of them loving someone who might be gay can do a number on them. Imagine that. Imagine hating on something only to find out your fave is that thing🙃

It's a myriad of things really but homophobia is always at the root of it.

I think people should stop trying to beat down their brains to accept something as fact that hasn't been confirmed. They should start with the baby steps- which member is the most likely to be gay in bangtan?

If the answer is any member besides Jikook I am beating you with a sledgehammer🤣

It was one of the nicknames of my old cat and the first thing I thought of when I set up this tumblr on a whim a looong time ago. I never changed it

My only active sideblog is @bidonicart where I post my art (duh). I used to keep a studyblr called @trashbagstudyspo as an older, comeback uni student, and then there was a short lived experiment called @linguastraniera where I posted the most awkward pictures i could find in the textbooks at my uni’s language learning center.

It’s just Q, or q, depending on whether the device I’m using capitalizes by default or not. Kinda hate that there’s no xkit on mobile and I have to do that manually tbh

Tumblr was very new at that point and there was a lot of buzz about microblogging, and I thought I might have given it a try. There was virtually no fandom (it was still mostly on livejournal and message boards and I myself kept my fandom activity to lj for a while, with little overlap), no tagging system, a lot of hipster stuff

Definitely not as much as I used to, I only really find it usable on desktop, and I am using my computer less often these days because I’m mostly on the ipad, but the ipad tumblr app is... not great. Generally I just miss the quick tag function. I hate not tagging stuff, but I also hate having to open the post to do so, you know?

I think I only ever had a real fight last year and honestly I don’t think I “won”, I just disengaged from some incredibly deranged arguments and went on with my life.

Waking out of my slumber, I register the lack of warmth on my body.  Frowning, I reach out for my boyfriend.  "Shouto?" my low morning voice mumbles out.

"Baby?"  Immediately, his heated side wraps around me.  "Did I wake you?"

I shake my head, snuggling into his chest.  "You weren't near me when I woke up."

The smile on his face as he kisses the top of my head is practically audible.  "I'm sorry, love.  I woke up earlier, but I didn't want to disturb you."

My eyes finally peel open.  Shifting my head to look up at him, I recognize the slight crease of his eyebrows.  "You look distressed, what's wrong?"

His fingers brush through my hair as he sighs.  "Today's Valentine's Day, love.  I know you warned me not to spoil you before, but I can't help but think we should do something special today."

"Shouto," an edge is present in my voice, "I hope you didn't make any huge elaborate plans today."

"I didn't, love," he kissed my forehead again.  "I knew you'd be furious if I did."  He looks into my eyes fondly, a playful smile lifting both corners of his lips.  "So, what would you like to do today?"

I purse my lips in thought.  "We can do something totally normal!  We can go for a walk in the park like we used to.  Or we can go to that new art museum in the city!  And then we can go eat at that fried chicken and ramen place I've wanted to visit!"  My excitement cuts short when I realize all my date ideas were pretty mediocre for Valentine's Day.  "I'm sorry, maybe I'm being a little too unenthusiastic about this whole thing."

"I don't care what we do today," Todoroki assures me gently, continuing to brush my hair.  "We can go anywhere.  As long as I'm with you all day, I'll be content, baby."

A warm shiver travels up my spine and I hug him closer.  His voice when he calls me "baby" is the most blissful thing in the world.  I could be old and walking with a stick and I'd still get flustered when he says it.

"Did I say something to make you shy now?"  He leans closer to my ear.  "Baby?"  He chuckles when I shove his chest.

I never said he doesn't know my weakness and doesn't actively use it against me.

"Would you like to stay home and watch movies all day then?" he suggests, kissing my shoulder.  "We can have a comfortable day in, it would still be nice."

I shake my head.  "It's Valentine's Day, we should at least leave the house and go somewhere."

"Okay, lunch at that restaurant and a movie then?"  He kisses the back of my hand.  "And we can walk through the park together."   Another kiss on my nose.  "And maybe walk down the street and window shop?"

"You're not buying a thing for me today!"  I want to threaten him, but I end up giggling because he's peppering more kisses all over my face.  "I'm trying to be mad at you, stop!"

"You can't be mad at me on Valentine's Day, love, I won't let you.  Besides," he leans in so his lips hover near mine, "There's always White Day next month."

A huff escapes me.  "Fine.  But only next month."

He places a chaste kiss on my lips finally.  "It's not fair that I can't spoil you when you spoil me by being mine every day."

My face heats up in embarrassment.  "Stop saying cheesy things," I mumble into his chest, the warm tingle enveloping me again.

"And the day's only just begun, baby."
