In addition to Daisy, Basil grew up to a teenager. 🎈 The two of them are total enemies though. I don't know why but they absolutely don't get along with each other.

Daisy enjoyed the company of a fellow fae in Woody. She found extra enjoyment in the fact that he was the same age.

The existence of baby brother Basil was exciting and all but Daisy wanted - needed to fill her own cup. After all, a teenage era begat independence. So she spent an afternoon in the garden with Woody in what dad would call a date (but dad didn't need to know that).

"I like your eyes." Daisy threw the words out there as she threw the ball for Woody to catch. He briefly fumbled but managed to recover, lest he collect another letter in the word DONKEY.

"Thanks. I get the feeling they freak people out. DONK!"

Daisy had dropped the catch, earning the letter K. "Damn. So do you know why they look like that?"

The ball flew into Woody's palms with a satisfying smack. He laughed, and snorted a little. "Apparently dad ate a lot of apples when he moved to the forest. Like, SO many. So me and my sister got apple seed eyes when he grew us - no, seriously!" Daisy had joined him in the laughing and snorting.

Faerie biology was funny like that. That became even more apparent as baby Basil grew. Despite being born with the resemblance of a human - nary a leaf to be seen - his skin gradually greened, and eventually, his head sprouted a mighty fine daisy.

The Greenman clan held a celebration for their expanded garden. Rose served freshly squeezed juice and observed the chemistry of her niece Jules and family friend Puck. Faerie-human relations seemed to be growing across the village; perfectly healthy tendrils reaching towards each other's light. Rose could only imagine the possibilities for a future filled with magic and love.

The girls are thrilled to meet their baby brother, especially Saffron who was literally jumping with joy.

Meanwhile Jason was spiraling into aspiration failure because he’d had a fear of having a baby. Not sure why but he’ll get over it when he remembers his LTW is to graduate 3 kids from university and Daisy isn’t technically related to him and therefore won’t count for that.

Lughnasadh - The First Harvest - What is it and how can you celebrate it?

Lughnasadh, or Lammas, is one of the eight Witches Sabbats and is the First Harvest of the season. It occurs on August 1st, directly in between the Summer Solstice and Autumnal Equinox. We are celebrating the abundance created from the union of the Earth and the Sun, of the Goddess and the God. It is a time to give thanks for what we have but is also a grim reminder that nothing lasts forever. Also called the Grain Harvest, this is when corn and grains of all kind are harvested. Lammas translates to "loaf-mass" because the first loaf made from the first harvest of the season is sacred. As well as seeing the decline in the Sun, we are reminded of hope with the seeds that are being returned to the ground to sprout the next spring.

The God is in his aspect of John Barleycorn and He is begnning to loose his strength, for his power has been transferred to the crops that are being cut down. He has become the God of Sacrifice for he is eaten with the harvests of the season, while also being returned to the Earth to grow anew next spring. The Goddess is in her aspect of the Harvest Queen, or Earth Mother, whom is heavily pregnant with the next year's Sun God. She watches the God die in sorrow but also joy for She knows He lives on within Her.

Ways to Celebrate Lughnasadh:

Make a bonfire

Have a harvest feast

Making a Grain Mother, or corn dolly - Gather stalks of wheat, rye, oats, or another type of grain. Soak it in water to make it easier to bend, and bend it in the shape a woman. Use ribbon or twine to hold the stalks in place, and dress it with homemade clothes from craps of cloth. While making putting your corn dolly together, give thanks for the abundance you have received. You can place it on your altar or as decoration for any festivities.

Make a Wicker Man - Put all of the bad habits you don't like and want to get rid of inside of him. You can write it on a piece of paper or bay leaf, and then throw him into a bonfire.

Baking bread, especially cornbread, Is sacred to this Sabbat. Here is a recipe I found on a website call the Goddess and the Greenman. I will link it in the sources below:

Buttermilk Bread Charm for Lammas

You will need:

3 mugs of strong white flour

500 ml of Buttermilk (available from the supermarket)

I teaspoonful of bicarbonate of soda

Lammas ribbon in your choice of color – gold, orange, yellow

Sprouted seeds – these represent regeneration. Can even be bought in the supermarket now. Frequently found in wholefood shops – or sprout your own.

Place the flour in a large bowl. Make a well in the center. Sieve in the blended salt and soda and pour in the buttermilk. Mix well with a wooden spoon until the dough feels springy and then mix in the sprouted seeds. If it feels too sloppy just add a little more flour. Turn it onto a board and cover with a fine dusting of flour. Pat it with your hands until you have a round shape. Take a sharp knife and score lightly into eight sections, one for each festival. Our picture shows the bread cut into five sections, making a pentacle.

Place onto a greased baking tray and pop your buttermilk bread into a moderate oven for about 20-25 minutes. Keep and eye on it. When the bread is ready it will change color and it will sound hollow when you tap the bottom. Cool completely on a wire rack. When it is cool, tie it with Lammas ribbon.

Take time to concentrate on the bread you have created and turn the loaf three times saying "From the fields and through the stones, into fire, Lammas Bread, as the Wheel turns may all be fed. Goddess Bless.”

Now take your bread and share it with your family and friends and pass on the generous blessings of this bright and bountiful festival. Eat it fresh, as soon as it is made if you can.

Rose and Jason have not had sex for eight years and they are very eager to make up for lost time.

And there they go.

I’m so glad you have children to entertain me while you do this for six straight hours in a row.

So here’s Daisy, trapped in the reading nook by all the abandoned books.

Meanwhile, Rose teaches Saffron to speak.

Correction, Rose does not teach Saffron how to speak.

Jason: My wife is so hot. Yeah, sure, whatever, focus on the toddler for a sec now, would ya?

Basil: Dada. Jason: Genius! Perfection! Child prodigy!

And the icon hasn’t even disappeared from above his head before we move on to walking.

Nature Leader: Hi, I just wanted to invite- Rose: Shh, wait and gaze upon my amazing child. Daisy: GATHER ROUND FOR FEATS OF WONDER! Nature Leader: I’ll just leave this on the table on my way out.

Oh, it’s time for this again.

Rose and Jason: Sure is!

Rose: Ahh, sexy husband.

Good thing he’s a heavy sleeper, because Rose and Basil sat there singing nursery rhymes all night long.

Jason has the day off the next day, so as the toddlers are all trained and the nanny is on Rose’s schedule, I send him down the pub to make friends.

Jason: CARRY ON MY WAYWARD SON.

Mrs C: Please, do carry on.

After that and totally by coincidence, Jason decided he wanted to see a ghost, so I sent him over to Gothier Green Lawns, where he ran into his niece, Jules. Jason: And after I see a ghost, I wanna see a wizard.

Ghost: BOO! Wrong sim, but thanks.

For most sims, I would say call the professionals. But Rose is a plant. She is the professional!

Rose: Here’s a re-enactment of how my afternoon went.

Well at least you’ve still got plenty of this to cheer you up.

And now we take a break for those two horny bastards to watch Daisy grow up. Daisy: I wish I only had three motives again. What, and miss puberty?

Daisy: OK this is actually a pretty sweet deal.

And it’s also time for Basil and Saffron to grow up.

Rose: Hurry up, it’s 5.30PM, they’re gonna be out of sync!

Child Saffron! She seems to be growing into her face better now.

And child Basil! Also looking good. Basil: Thanks.

And then Jason rolled a want for Daisy to get a scholarship, so I had her apply and this showed up!? I’d never seen it before, so I had a google and the Sims Wiki said it was a rare scholarship given to a sim who has a parent in the Education career path. Except Daisy doesn’t. Although her Uncle Gabe is Education Minister. But Jules didn’t get the scholarship?

Then I remembered I have a mod that gives scholarships for badges, so I checked and yup, this is because as an ex-plantsim, Daisy has a gold gardening badge, and the Sims Wiki is a liar.

Moving on! Here’s Basil floating under the slide. Hopefully nobody comes down it and flattens him.

Really? Again? Rose: Lol ask a stupid question.

Even though they have plenty of greenhouse lights in the house, her sunlight got pretty low, so as soon as the sun came up, she sprinted outside to sunbathe. Rose: Perfect weather for it.

Then I remembered spores of happiness are a thing and decided to give it a try. Rose: Can’t say it’s really doing much for me. Jason: Well I certainly appreciate it.

Here’s madeover Daisy. She wanted an mp3 player, so I sent her out to Hans Trapdoor Company, where she immediately decided she no longer wanted an mp3 player. Daisy: I could eat though.

She also wanted a friend, so I had her introduce herself to Desdemona. Daisy: Us sort of supernaturals need to stick together.

She also brought Ripp Grunt home from school and challenged him to a snowball match. Ripp: Finally, a point to all those years of military training! Daisy: Wait I am having second thought- *SPLAT*

The final result was a draw. Daisy: And a friend.

The twins both wanted to do their homework, so I had Rose and Jason deal with that.

Townie: It’s so nice to see such a loving father and husband. Wanna throw all that away for my random friend? Jason:

Not pictured is Basil beating the shit out of poor teddy ten seconds later.

Me making winter two seasons long in Riverblossom Hills turned out to be a horrible decision for the garden, so I make Rose and Daisy talk to the plants all night long.

And then I sent them on holiday.

I also sent Gabe along for some family bonding! I wanted to send Jules but she didn’t show up as an option. Gabe: It’s Freshers week. She’s busy.

Saffron: RAWR! Basil: I hate you.

Bitch it’s been an hour.

BITCH IT’S BEEN AN HOUR HOW ARE YOU ALREADY SUNBURNED!? Saffron: You sent me to Twikki Island in my damn outerwear!

You too Daisy? Daisy: I forgot I don’t have magic plant sunlight powers any more.

Ah well, here comes Rose to rescue- Rose: Um, I wanna get to the beach and something is blocking my way.

Oh for fucks sake FINE I AM GOING TO FIX THIS.

Goodbye autonomous sea portal, it was nice knowing you.

Rose: Is he gonna...? Jason: Let’s see how long it takes.

Gabe: This show is pretty good! Rose: Thanks!

Jason: OK this is getting awkward now, please leave so I can bang my wife. Gabe: Sheesh, OK, fine, I can take a hint. I mean, as the previous pictures show, clearly you cannot.

Rose and Jason: Finally!

Next morning sees Daisy and Rose hanging out on the beach.

Rose: I’m never leaving. Not your choice, sorry! Rose: Download a subhood version. ...I’ll think about it.

Saffron: Is that safe? Aren’t grass-types weak against fire? Daisy: First of all, I’m a Plantsim, not a Pokemon. Second, I’m not a Plantsim any more.

Gabe: Ow ow pain ow.

The only mildly annoying thing is that there’s not a lot of stuff to do in the hotel, so Gabe and Rose keep trying to watch TV while everyone was asleep, so in the end I gifted Gabe a shovel and told him to hunt for treasure while Rose did yoga for hours. Rose: The tree pose is my favourite.

Saffron: This place is too damn hot.

On the last night, I let Uncle Gabe babysit while Rose and Jason go out on a date. Rose: Mmm, is it hot here or is it just my husband? Tour Guide: Oh my God SHUT UP.

I’m quite sure I don’t need to explain what’s going on here.

Saffron: Hey, so can I have a little brother or sister? Ahaha! No! Let’s get that skill one instead.

Synchronised skilling!

Daisy loves to swim, so as she spends all her free time in the pool, I gave her a snorkle and flippers.

Then I remembered I have a mod that gives plantsims a few magical spells, most notably one to make all plants perfect, so now the eggplants are delicious and ready to harvest!

Weekend! Time for a family trip to the park. Daisy: No bathroom for you until I get a tip! Rose: I’m so proud.

Go for the obviously rich people, of course!

Then he had to run back out to work again about an hour later, leaving Rose to talk about birds with Morty Roth. Rose: Yeah, we have a bird cage and no parrot, what about it.

Turns out Jason had a cold, oops. Jason: Nooo I can die yet, Rose and I are only on page 57 of the Kama Sutra!

Rose: Please don’t take my husband, I’ll be all alone in this strange, cruel world! Grim: Don’t you have three children? Rose: YES AND THEY NEED THEIR FATHER!

Hooray!

Rose: Jason! Darling! Never do that again! Jason: I’ll try not to!

Hobby Leader: Hey, now you’re back, I just wanna give you somethng. Jason: Uh, really not the best time.

And the week ends with Rose and Jason doing what they do best. Probably because they know it’s gonna be another eight years before they can do it again.

Leaves danced across the pavement in summer's death rattle. Rose shed the fronds of her faerie dress; not in mourning, but with joy.

Jason had taken her to Belle's Boutique and Tailoring to pick out maternity wear, as the leaves she usually wore could not bear the growth in her belly. This seedling was not from the earth, as Daisy was. Rose wanted to try the human way.

"How is the tea, my love?" Jason enquired. After their successful shopping trip, he'd set up the table on the upstairs verandah with a view of the burnt orange forest, and brewed green tea.

Rose settled into a smile, as she always did. "Just perfect," she said, feeling the warmth soak into her roots.

More tea was poured as the trees went back to basics, naked with their branches out. Daisy matured into a more independent faerie - a teenager, Jason lamented - and the Summerdreams moved on, sensing a need for the Greenmans to have a peaceful garden all to themselves.

The new seedling, Basil, arrived vineless; distinctly more human than faerie. Rose and Jason marvelled at what they had created, and wondered if they were the first in history to do so.

Okay! Make a new page, solely for Yule!

Write out a description of the holiday. What is it? When is it? How is it traditionally celebrated? Why were things celebrated the way they were? What are the things that this holiday represents and stands for? This is the meat and potatoes of the holiday. Any and all bits of info aside from this are just the seasoning. Mine is a few small paragraphs about the holiday itself.

Now make some lists. What are the colors used to decorate for this holiday? What are some incense/ oils/ candle scents that are commonly associated with this day? Gemstones? Herbs? Is there a moon phase or particular god/goddess associated with this holiday? What about animals? Flowers? Were there any traditional offerings left out on this holiday? And what foods were made on this day?

What are some of the activities you can do to celebrate this holiday? And what about magic and rituals. Are there any specific kinds of magic to perform on or around this day? Are there any poems or blessings associated with this holiday?

What power(s) are you calling upon for the ritual and why? (elements, deities, sun/ moon, personal power, etc)

How do you set it up? Is there specific placement of the tools? Direction to face when calling the above powers? Do you cast a circle? Or do you simply light a candle and bow your head in a moment of silent prayer/ meditation?

W nocy rodzina Greenman powiększyła się o zielonookiego Basila i rudowłosą Jasmine oraz prawie zmniejszyła się o Rose, ale Jason na to nie pozwolił i wygrał ze śmiercią.

Tak więc Greenmanowie też nie będą mieć więcej biologicznych dzieci... no chyba że ewentualnie jak Jason zostanie simoroślą i będzie chciał simoroślowe dziecko.
