A new character posted to Mori's Bluesky account!

As always, we can't be sure who this woman is or what project she's for, but the mark on her arm seems very in line for the BlazBlue series. With the marking there and the '08' she has, some people are wondering if she's part of the same line-up as Alpha and Gamma, both previously revealed on Mori's Twitter in the same mysterious manner.

Though it is worth noting that while Alpha and Gamma have both been depicted with their corresponding Greek alphabet symbol, this girl lacks one in her image here. Further, her number marking is on her arm, rather than her collarbone as we've usually seen with PFDs; though her shirt does cover the area where the marking would usually be placed.

I also find it interesting that this image lacks the AD 2049 mark that has appeared on the rest of Mori's recent Bluesky sketches. I wonder if this girl is, or is not, part of the same project...

This is just my current theory, and absolutely not confirmed information, but I'm assuming these sketches are part of whatever installment of the BB franchise he has in mind next. I expect we'll be seeing these characters every few months for a few years, just like how we got sketches of XIII, AD Kagura, and Tokiwa Camellia appearing on Mori's Twitter over the years while he was working on BBDW's story. Many fans wrote those images off as Mori's "fanart" at the time, but they were all tied into the plot of BBDW- we just didn't have the information to recognize it at the time.

Which new game? If you mean Entropy Effect (the roguelite) then we have two reasons.

One, which seems guranteed, is that the BB cast aren't actually in the game's story. Current trailers show these are some form of hologram or simulation that the robot protagonist, and likely other cast members, create.

Two, current information indicates that this spinoff will not be related to BB canon in any way. Later information could disprove this, but information released so far shows the game having an original story in an unfamiliar setting, and the studio behind the game has made non-canon BB spinoffs before.

I think it's interesting that Breakdown and Bumblebee could've met while racing in the Iacon 5000 (after BB recieved his T-cog). This would probably be between the time Megatron was banished and when the war started.

3. The swap in temperament between Soundwave and Shockwave is interesting.

It's like Soundwave's patience is eroding everytime he goes through another leader. It's always been the case, but he's extremely loyal to his leader up until the point where he feels that they're ineffective; then he will do what he can to replace them with another.

Meanwhile, Shockwave starts off as kinda temperamental in TFOne. But if these continuities were one, it'd be assumed that he mellows out externally over the course of the war, but he still has that kind of innate rage he's always had.

To put it shortly:

Soundwave: cold exterior, angry interior -> angry exterior, angry exterior

Shockwave: angry exterior, angry interior -> cold exterior, angry interior

I can really just see Shockwave being the same guy just getting older over time. It's not much of a stretch to me.

4. Bumblebee goes from being extremely lonely to being surrounded by family and friends, while Starscream goes from being surrounded by (at least) allies and troops to being extremely lonely. It's especially apparent when they're both talking to inanimate/inactive objects when they're isolated, like here.

I think there's some merit in Bumblebee helping Starscream through his loneliness for a hypothetical season 4 of ES if this were the case.

ok, so let's get straight (gay idk) something they are both walking down the aisle. Will's bridal party(?idk they're boy version of that word): Austin, Kayla, Lou Ellen, and Cecil. Nico's is Frank, Jason(BECAUSE IN MY LAND OF JOY BB BOY LIVES), Reyna, and Percy. as far as venue, I already claimed it's a royal wedding, so i think it'd be somewhere like persephone's garage or elysium or the ilse of the blessed. It's pinterest worthy, the kind of wedding people base their weddings off of. They both wear suits (only grover could pull off the wedding dress look), but Will and his people wear star wars socks and Nico's wear mytho magic socks (cuz they're nerds). I think they let each other pick the others' walk out music (because it let's me make a joke). Apollo and Naomi walk Will down the aisle. The song Nico picks for Will is "Wait for the Lights" around the 34-second mark. The doors open at the end of the crescendo, and they start walking once the music comes back in. Hazel and Hades walk Nico down. And I think Will actually wrote something for Nico because I don't think he has as little talent as he says. He has his dad and mom help, but that's cuz he's a perfectionist. (they don't have to go down the aisle it this order this is just the order I thought about it in) Vows wise, I think they are super dorky. Like cheese balls. But their also super heartfelt and special. During Will's vows, Lee and Micheal ghosts actually cry. same for Nico with Maria and Bianca. Nico's vows include the Italian bit of what he said to Will when they got engaged. They get married by the pope. ( idk if this is offensive, but like Nico is/was Catholic, so idk, but if it is, I'll change it. Just tell me. Like, i don't know if it'd be the most recent one, but I feel like he'd be the most down). Apollo bawls his eyes out. He's just a proud dad, guys. Hades has a small lil smile on his face, and Persephone's a little teary-eyed. Honestly, no one leaves with dry eyes. Reception is huge. they dance and eat food (that isn't from the underworld). due to America, there's no alcohol but trust me, you don't need that to act drunk. or maybe laws are different in the underworld. They play games. There's a Mytho magic tournament (Nico wins, Frank says he let him because it's his wedding). There's trivia (Will and Annabeth dominate that). And other really fun games i can't think of. they do those who knows who better for each groomal party(i TOLD you, I don't know the word for the boy version of bridal party), there's a round for parents, and nico and Will also do one. They make a video for their future self's. After the reception, they go to Venice for their honeymoon. do they take a car, the gray sisters, shadow travel, no planes, sun chariot? idk they just get there.

Boombox has perfect pitch, can distinguish between instruments in songs really well, and has really good hearing.

also Boombox is a music nerd, he knows about classic composers, he can tell you about the history of different instruments, he can talk about different arrangements for songs, etc. Boombox is incredible to have in trivia.

It's been a very long time (I have no excuses and I'm sure no one is interested) and I've been far more active on Twitter, and I'm late to the game either way, but I just had to announce Wazawa-sensei's newest manga, Adashino Kishokan! It is very likely that Ringo Akagi is one of the most powerful characters in the greater BB/XB franchise, and almost certain that she's one of the most knowledgeable about the greater magics of her world.

As a member of the Mercury family and the Ten Sages, her magical abilities and know-how must be on the same level as Nine's.

Additionally, she's implied to be one of the greatest members of the Sages, as when she left the organization, they reserved her seat for her; in hopes of her return, and in acknowledgement that she could not be replaced.

The only other character to be granted this honor is Relius Clover in his tenure as One.

Starting off strong - the teardrop tattoos he has aren't just for show. When he was 19, he did time in an NUSA prison for beating a townie half to death for harassing his younger sister. Already an addict, he got his hands on some synthcoke in prison that was laced with fentanyl - he survived, but it was a close thing. He confronted the guy who sold it to him and made his opinion of the way he treated his customers known by crushing him with a dead-lifting bar stacked with weights. When the seller's partner confronted him in the prison laundry, he stuffed the man into the huge industrial washing machines and let it run. He spent about 2 years total in prison before being released at age 21. Ya boy's a felon! ✌️😌

Vice had two siblings - one older half-brother, Marquis, and a younger sister, Duchess. If you've noticed a trend with their names being titles of nobility, that's by design! Their mother liked the theme, and even got her kids signet rings with their first initials on them; that's what Vice's 'V' ring is. 👑💍

He has an uncanny ability to be able to accurately guess the time to within a 5 minute margin of error based on 'vibes'. For a long time he didn't have any cyberware, or a phone, to tell him the time, (and he broke any watches he wore roughhousing and tinkering with his junker) and when it was cloudy or raining there was no sun to help estimate either. 🤔⏰ thank you for the ask! I've shared a fair bit of his lore on discord but still haven't taken the time to make a proper bio or anything, oops. maybe one day i'll sit down and bang one out but i'm the kind of person who makes a whole-ass annotated timeline with barely a fuckin moment bare and i struggle to pick just the really important parts for bios and tend to go off on tangents (thanks, ADHD 😭)

What's with Balloon Boy and the Daycare Attendant?

The Balloon World arcade machine exists, it's in the DA's room and both characters are involved in it. It's probably one of the most cryptic minigames in the FNAF series as a whole, but while we could ponder what exactly it's supposed to mean (maybe I'll do that for all the security breach minigames eventually), the main question I have is this:

WHY Balloon Boy specifically? Why is the minigame about HIM?

Is there a connection between the two characters? Or was it a completely random decision?

Out of nowhere, thinking about Balloon World, I came to a realization:

The Lights.

Balloon Boy's entire gimmick in FNAF 2 was that if he got into your office, he would disable your flashlight and vent lights (...somehow. I know we all make the jokes about him taking the batteries [and then that FNAF 57: Freddy In Space thing in FNAF World said he just straight-up steals your entire flashlight], but you never see the battery icon disappear or appear empty in FNAF 2 itself when he gets into your office. And the vent lights also stop working, so unless they also operate on batteries, then... does he actually take them from you?).

What's the one rule in the daycare?

Keep the lights on.

His mechanic is the antithesis to what Sun wants and exactly what Moon would want. Balloon Boy doesn't keep the lights on. He prevents you from turning them on at all.

(which also makes me kinda sad there wasn't a Glamrock version of BB. Then again, I don't know how exactly he would've uniquely affected like anything. Regardless I am hoping for the day someone in the fandom makes a glamrock bb who is arch-enemies with sun and gets along well with moon skseijdndndnd-)

It feels kinda obvious and I'm guessing I'm not the only person to think about this, but I have never seen anyone else bring this up. Not on YouTube, not on tumblr, nowhere. Maybe if I go looking for it I'll see, but i'm surprised I haven't bumped into anyone else saying this just naturally. I go into the BB tags a LOT, surely SOMEONE would've said something, right? I don't even see it noted in the trivia on the page for the arcade game on the fnaf wiki.

...but is this supposed to mean anything? Or is it just a cute little reference or callback? it's hard to say, especially with how ambiguous the minigame is.

Though I DID think of ONE thing... (possible minor spoilers for Ruin under the cut):

Saw this pointed out in a youtube video that the BB World screen (with Eclipse, who makes their proper debut in Ruin after effectively being foreshadowed by the minigame in SB's base game) can be seen on the ceiling in the DA's room. Which makes sense, obviously, but also take note of the pirate-themed windows in the hallway leading to it.

...now, which character do most of us tend to associate with Balloon Boy? His "tag-team partner," of sorts?

Foxy. The Pirate.

With this, I found that there's more Foxy-related stuff associated with the daycare area than I had previously realized because I had never made any connections before. I mean, Kids' Cove is directly linked to it for god's sake.

Like. I hope i haven't forgotten to mention anything (I've been writing this post over the course of hours 'Cus I had stuff to do in the middle of it all). My brain's kinda starting to fry. But basically: Was Foxy originally meant to be the Daycare Attendant, in-universe? Was there gonna be a Glamrock Balloon Boy with him, like as his first mate or something??? Were they gonna be connected to Fazbear Theater????? (Uh basically Sun/Moon to my knowledge from confirmation in the books and a lot of more subtle implications in-game mainly involving environmental pieces were originally meant to be in the Fazbear Theater as a stage animatronic but got moved to daycare duty instead and being reprogrammed. Which actually explains a lot about them when you think about it-)

Like. Ok I'm forgetting where I was going with this, I'm sorry, but I guess it's food for thought/adds to the weird connections between DA and BB, I guess. Idk. I can't focus that well right now to keep making new ideas.

felt like sharing my interpretation of the Balloon World minigame itself at least since earlier I did kinda finally get it down concretely:

I kinda developed a theory that Eclipse is Sun/Moon's "safe mode" and that rebooting DA reactivated Eclipse as a result. Like, they're their own AI that was at one point implemented. but then Vanny happened and locked them out thanks to the whole Glitchtrap virus thing (albeit it only seemed to reach Moon, while Sun remains seemingly unaffected. Guessing it's because they're different AIs [finally implied/basically confirmed by their Ruin dialogue). Eclipse has seemingly not been active for some time, or at least never post-pizzaplex closure, given how they're seemingly completely oblivious to the fact that this place is closed with no signs of opening.

So the minigame was foreshadowing Eclipse's existence and implying their "trapped" nature, which also could be seen as paralleling Vanessa's whole "Vanny" situation, especially given how iirc one of the messages related to princess quest can be found near the arcade machine.

Somehow i missed the first article from Time magazine about SJM that describes acotar and literally says "fans gush over its strong female leads, steamy romances, and trio of Fae-warrior love interests (affectionately known as the “Bat Boys”)". And omg? It seems like even a bigger deal that the "fans suspect.." about Elriel. Because Az is straight up called an LI, it's not even framed as a speculation. Can Time magazine really afford to look stupid and do false advertising? Not even in just one article that everyone talks about, but two in a row. At this point I wonder if Bloomsbury sent them trivia to mention.

That's why they are hating that article.

And keep saying that it's spreading false info and that that it 'wasn't approved by BB' and similar BS. Time was pretty firm about the LIs and the FMCs.

But hey, none of it matters. No information is valid because it doesnt align with their ship.

Blog Announcement: Tag System Update + Navigation Consolidation

Hi everyone,

As we've said previously, we’re in the process of simplifying and streamlining our tag navigation system for Fantasy Worlds Collide (FWC), and wanted to share what’s changing. Both for clarity and ease of browsing. This update only applies to our static taglist navigation pages and does not affect the act landing pages.

What’s Changing

One Unified Navigation Page for FWC

Tomorrow, we’re going to begin to consolidate our two static navigation taglists (FFVII arc + original world) into a single, unified system. This decision was made to reduce redundancy, improve navigation, and reflect how intertwined all the arcs have become within the larger FWC universe.

From now on, character tags, events, and development tags will all appear under one primary navigation page, with clear categories for fanon and original content.

2. Retiring the headcanons: Tag System

We are officially retiring the headcanons: <topic> tag structure.

Moving forward, all traditional headcanons will be tagged under our character development system (cd:). This allows for easier sorting and searching while avoiding the double-tagging we’ve been doing up until now.

Here's how it breaks down:

headcanons: backstory → no longer used

cd: backstory → Using this instead

cd: headcanons → used as a catch-all for casual, quirky, or informal character insight posts that don’t fall into the structured topics

The same thing is happening to the tags oc: bianca moore - original and oc: bianca moore - ff. Moving forward, all posts about Bianca will be under the name: oc: bianca moore. Here it is broken down:

oc: bianca moore - ff → no longer used

oc: bianca moore - original → no longer used

oc: bianca moore → using this instead

This change applies across all arcs, but will especially affect FFVII OC content where most of our headcanon tags were. If you're browsing older content, those legacy tags still exist. This change is only for posts moving forward.

3. Simplified Tagging for Weekly and Monthly Events Previously, we used arc-specific event tags such as:

bb: fwc

bb: fwc: ff

characters: fwc: ff

etc.

These are now being phased out.

Going forward, we’ll be tagging events only by their event name. For example:

blorbo blursday

wip wednesday

trivia tuesday

Since we are using arc tags, you’ll still be able to tell which arc the post belongs to by the standard arc: tag:

arc: ffvii

arc: pandemonix

arc: kilonova

arc: godling

Since Fantasy Worlds Collide is the only project hosted on this blog, there’s no need for arc-specific event tags anymore. The event names are unified, and the arc is clarified separately, keeping the system streamlined.

Storyteller Saturday as well as Spicy Sunday

Additionally, Storyteller Saturday is being retired from our regular post schedule. We'll still happily participate when prompted by asks or community interaction, but otherwise, this content now falls under the broader umbrella of Trivia Tuesday, which focuses on character facts, development notes, behind-the-scenes insights, and world trivia. Spicy Sunday will now fall under the umbrella of Thirsty Thursday, which focuses on relationships.

The new navigation will be divided into:

Characters (both canon and OC)

Character Development (cd: system only)

Events (Weekly, Monthly, Yearly)

Worldbuilding (FWC original setting only)

Writing & Meta (for commentary, fics, and process posts)

We’ve made this shift to make tagging faster for us and navigation easier for you. It also means we can participate in events and theme weeks without creating tag bloat.

Thanks bb. I assume you found this blog from my reddit account? That's where I post most of my unhinged theories and trivia gatherings. The simple answer is that I hyperfixate and want to know every detail of whatever I love. It's sort of funny - there's people who are obsessively into fanon, and then there's me who has a fascination with canon. Fanon often doesn't feel connected to the characters I grow emotionally attached to - it's like I am peering into a different world A lot of the time fans have a "hunger" for characters, and they fill that with art/stories/media they create, but for me, it's like - I want to know everything there is about x character, story, world, and the best way to do that is to consume everything and anything the author has created about it. Only "canon" truly scratches that itch. I suppose I really like knowing what the author himself has to say, because they're the ones who created the story - they have the real insight into this lovely world I adore. So, I just like to hyperfixate with accuracy, I guess that's it - and then I have an absurdly accurate memory for these things I care about. Thanks for asking <33
