"Why are you spinning around like that?"
"The hell do you mean, spinning?"
"Are you trying to psyche me out or something? Because it's working!!!"
The Narrator:
Yet another side.
Voice of the Contrarian:
Can she not tell she's spinning?
Voice of the Prince:
She's not reacting, not even physically. She's still facing us, even though it's definitely a new side. But is it even the same person anymore?

have been spending my morning playing with this picrew, since it works GREAT for fantasy vibes
i started out like "i.... wonder what portraits and propaganda images of AU luz look like." because she has her whole ~*~titan-foretold savior~*~ mythos to contend with and also the very feminine very delicate image she had when belos was alive. as if anybody won't notice her constantly tripping over her feet and ruining her clothes
so making an image of the idealized all-knowing all-seeing titan-favored empress left me with this:
and then i was like WOW. I HATE THAT MORE THAN I'VE HATED LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE I'VE EVER MADE FOR THIS AU.
i hate it So Fucking Much you guys. Oh God.
so. i also made a real AU luz.
to ward off ^That Thing.
oh my god that's so much better. hi baby. please don't ever let anybody paint you.

Imagine, if you will. A universe in which Adrien finds out about Monarch's towards the end of Season 5.
As in - instead of or in addition to the "move to London" plotline, Adrien is sitting on the secret that he knows his father is Monarch. They could have kept up their will-they-won't-they about he Sentimonster thing - is Adrien staying quiet because his father ordered him to? Or because he's seen the man's injury, knows that he's dying, and also knows that Marinette is in danger if he spills anything.
It doesn't even have to happen early. Just early enough that, once he's in his sensory deprivation cell, he knows that him transforming would leak his identity to Monarch himself. So he sends Plagg away to give the ring and the message to someone else, and we can still get the writers' precious Bug Noire.
(In fact, I think he should also find out about the Sentimonster thing at that point, because that means that as soon as Gabriel knows that Adrien is Chat Noir, he also has control over him. It means Adrien knows what he's fighting for, and it makes the gesture of giving up the ring so much more meaningful. Heavens, does he even know there's a battle when he does it in canon? No, it's just because he's afraid of akumatization.)
(and on THAT note clearly he should have been told about Chat Blanc because why else did his worse nightmare change from being controlled to being out of control?) (yeah yeah Destruction but. bleh.)
I know I know they didn't want to give too many important scenes to Adrien but they point is. This could have shifted the focus back to Marinette in a COOL way instead of a baffling way. He's the princess! She's the knight! Nobody would think the Knight was all that cool when she kills the dragon while the princess is saying oh he's not so bad... he just wants to play.... he don't bite....... and then the knight says oh you're right of course he wasn't evil he just had to. Go. Live on a nice farm. Anyway why don't we get out of this tower maybe

To add to my previous post about including King Candy with Disney Villains, I'd love to see Dr. Facilier, Mother Gothel, AND King Candy/Turbo included alltogether in any Disney Villains merchandise alongside the classic villains.
Any time I see merch of any villain stuff, it's either missing 1 of the three of them or 2 of the three of them.
I know this sounds specific, but the three of them are my favorite villains.
I personally think it may have to do with the fact that 2 of the movies (Tangled and Wreck it Ralph) are in CG and that Wreck it Ralph doesn't incorporate traditional magic as there's technology/ games instead.
So far, I've noticed there's certain combinations used, for example;
Dr. Facilier and Gothel are present, but King Candy isn't present.
Dr. Facilier is present but Gothel and King Candy aren't.
Gothel is present, but Dr. Facilier and King Candy aren't there.
I'm sure there's other combinations, but these are the most common I've seen.
I wonder if there's some sort of rule that classic Disney Villains can only be around one modern villain at a time or something, and they choose between Gothel or King Candy. Idk at this point, I'm guessing.
Either way, I hope one day I can find something that has the three of them with the rest of the classic villains.

Hey! How do you feel sepfember is going? I've enjoyed seeing all the lovely art and writings. Hope you're doing well!
luna!! hi!! thank you for the ask 💞
sepfember is going more brilliantly than i ever could have hoped. it's been absolutely wonderful seeing people coming together to create things! i've been trying my best to express my joy in the tags of my reblogs, but i'm not sure anything ever could! it's been truly wonderful. i have loved every minute of it so far - writing the prompt drabbles every day, and checking the tag for other people's work to reblog, and sniffing out beautiful art for the queue... a couple of times people have pinged me on the LU discord too, to show me sepfember art, and it entirely melted my heart. and i can't tell if it's coincidence but i'm seeing more sepfember-unrelated/untagged female focused art on my dash too!
in a franchise that caters a great deal to male gamers (and in my own linked universe bubble where all of our main characters are men), my only wish for this event was to balance the scales just a little - create a little bit of brainspace in our minds for the women. show more people who they are and what their names are and what they do! spare a moment to wonder about their goals and motives and characterisation. because they do exist! there are more women in this franchise than even i thought before this event! and i think they're worth celebrating, don't you?
