Can we have Mc-going-out-on-date with some rando? Lets also say this is when Ros are also in deep crushing stage. Need some angsty-ish 👉👈😅
Ah very fun!! Crushing stage offers so many opportunities for angst c:
Beck- would honestly see it as a challenge lmao. Like--they'd respect MC's choices, but if it seemed like this was just a casual date, they'd up their efforts to charm the MC. Flirting more, asking them out, trying to get their attention, etc. If it seemed serious, though...they'd back off, and feel rough about it.
Croft- they'd instantly bristle, and would avoid MC after. It would feel like a betrayal, even though they know it's their fault. They should have said something sooner. They'd be heartbroken and it would channel into frustration. This is why they try to avoid catching feelings. It only leads to anguish.
Jay- their heart would ache. They should have said something sooner. Why didn't they? They'd try to subtly ask MC how serious it was. If the date was serious, Jay would back down, heartbroken. But if it was casual? They'd confess their feelings. Better do it now, before they live to regret it. At least this way MC knows.
Perri- it would be terrible for them. They always assume that they'd be everyone's last choice, and here's proof. MC's already dating somebody else. Perri wouldn't stick around long enough to hear if it was serious or not--they'd just assume they lost their chance. Of course MC wouldn't want to date them. Who would?
Ravi- why should he care? It's just some...stranger. Nobody important. Ravi would push down his feelings to the best of his ability. It doesn't bother him. MC has a right to live their own life, it doesn't affect him. Inside he'd be icing over. He'd be unusually curt with MC after, being unable to process his own feelings in any meaningful way.
Yasmin- she'd be sad, a little, if she had developed romantic feelings for MC. At the same time, she's always been clear that she wants something casual. How was MC supposed to know anything changed? She does her best to not let her bother her. In fact, she'd try to be friendly about it--asking MC about the date, trying to be engaged in how it went, etc.

Beck - Loser
1993
"Loser" is a single by American musician Beck. It was written by Beck and record producer Carl Stephenson, who both produced the song with Tom Rothrock. "Loser" was initially released as Beck's second single by independent record label Bong Load Custom Records on 12-inch vinyl format with catalog number BL5 on March 8, 1993.
When it was first released independently, "Loser" began receiving airplay on various modern rock stations, and the song's popularity eventually led to a major-label record deal with Geffen Records-subsidiary DGC Records. After the song's re-release under DGC, the song peaked at number 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in April 1994, becoming Beck's first single to hit a major chart. Internationally, the song reached number one in Norway and entered the top 10 in Australia, Austria, Canada, Iceland, New Zealand, and Sweden. The song was subsequently released on the 1994 album Mellow Gold.
"Loser" received a total of 73,3% yes votes!

Have you ever heard of insect politics? Neither have I. Insects don’t have politics. They’re very brutal. No compassion. No compromise. We can’t trust the insect.
