thought about it some more and if nobody else will hype up the Luke & Jocelyn story i will. especially if the "in the past" is referring to the circle era like. I'm always excited for circle content they never fail to make me insane

think about it!! Valentine from their perspective, the two people who loved him the most, while they're in the thick of it is going to be crazy. his wife and his parabatai. also I'm fairly certain there's a quote where Jocelyn says if she knew that Luke loved her back then she wouldve made a difference choice like this story is going to be great i can feel it. just the fact CC is going out of her way to include it over something more popular means that it's something she really wants to share & that makes me really excited. I hope it rewires my brain <3

I feel u... I want to love the show so bad and I do think the kids are awesome in their roles but unfortunately the writing and execution are just not quite what they could be

yeahhh exactly :’( the writing is like, bafflingly mid especially when you have such good material to pull from??? there’s still moments of the same humor and fun atmosphere that the book had (like annabeth and grover splashing water on percy in the fountain and the scene where they first meet ares, those were cute hehe) but most of the time it’s just taking itself way too seriously and the vibes aren’t there

i understand needing to streamline to fit it into a tv show, and not wanting to make it exactly a 1 to 1 recreation, but none of the adaptational changes have felt like they fulfilled that purpose to me, they’re just Changes. they’re pointless at best and harmful at worst (occasionally just as good, like percy choosing to sacrifice himself on the arch, but i can’t think of any that i’d say were Better). like, why was percy not the one to see the three fates, when that’s like Really Important for him to see? why give him riptide right away? why have all of annabeth’s cute character moments that give her depth been flattened out, like being scared of spiders and desperate for a quest and embarrassed to go on the tunnel of love? why is grover basically useless?? and i could keep going like idk….. if you don’t compare it too hard to the original and just watch it as a kids fantasy show, it’s fine and enjoyable— like i’m not at all saying its BAD as a show and i’m really glad so many people like it— but it was hyped up for years as a faithful adaptation and i can’t help but be disappointed u__u

I think Socks is struggling with her peg leg a bit, but Vasso is not really the counsellor type. She'd probably have better luck talking things through with Laursen or Duchess, but at least Vasso is helping in his own way.

Ahahahaha, we've been waiting for this! Husk here is a pigskin raider we've been saving for a special occasion: our yearly prisoner sacrifice ritual! We were going to use a Hussar wild woman, but she kept breaking out, so we ate her.

Husk will atone for her crimes against our lovely little cult in the best way she can. By providing snacks for everyone!

Finally, this beautiful spider came to visit. As the Cult of Ecthuctu has little use for the anima tree, I decided to leave this creature alone for the time being. As long as it doesn't hurt anybody (aside from the anima scream it will inevitably cause when the tree is consumed) it is free to roam as it pleases.

i love how being afraid to post on instagram is a thing. i understand the fear in terms of not “living up to” aesthetics. but at the same time, posting on instagram isn’t a social requirement. having an instagram isn’t a social requirement. posting your life and whereabouts 24/7 is not a social requirement. no one is forcing you to post on instagram. not everything needs to be pinterest perfect. life isn’t pinterest perfect. everyone’s always saying we need to see the realness of peoples lives but even photo dumps have given into aesthetics. fuck a pretty instagram layout because i’ll bet your life isn’t as pretty as what you post.

Keigo loved picking up his girlfriend and doing things like this. Coming home and being greeted like this was definitely something he needed after a long day at work.

Keigo was pretty sure she was wearing one of his shirts. Not that he cared. He thought she looked adorable in his shirts even if he sometimes worried she was going to get cold with the holes in them.
