I'm not sure this can even be considered a fic tbh but it does have 1340 words SO 🌚 do with that what you will. Idk how well I did (not well), but fyi it is basically a 1st draft and there was little to no editing involved (otherwise I'll never answer this ask ever)

this is (supposed to be) Rhea/Beth co-stars au, I'd give it a G, if someone actually wants to read and worries about that :)

She was running fast, blood pumping in her veins, heart beating in her chest. Her steps uneven on the forest floor, trying to avoid branches, trying to avoid-

Rhea collided into her with a grunt, the two of them toppling down. A breath caught in her lungs for a second, before she could breathe again, quick breaths. Something was digging into her back, her side hurt from the fall.

Rhea pushed herself on her hands, the top of her body lifting off of Beth’s. The woman looked down, short hair framing her features beautifully, lips quirking into a smile. Her eyes searched Beth’s face, then flicked down her body for a second before coming back up.

Beth’s hands clenched, and it was just then that she realized that she’s been holding onto Rhea’s hips. She let go immediately.

Rhea bit her lip and it was all Beth could focus on, her lips still smiling, such a lovely smile, her lips-

“Cut!” The director yelled and Beth gasped suddenly brought back to the reality of where she was. Where they were. What were they doing.

Rhea winked at her as she stood up, she put her hand out to help Beth up.

”Just ask her out.”

Beth startled at the whisper in her ear, her body flinching, head turning toward the voice. Ruby’s eyes met hers, heavy and knowing. Beth’s lips slipped open as if there were words to come out, but all she could do was to shake her head.

“Don’t pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about,” Ruby said, giving her a pointed look.

“I’m-, I…”

Ruby’s eyebrows rose and Beth tried to stare her down before she huffed a breath and turned around.

“Yeah. Exactly.” Ruby said.

Beth’s eyes fell unwittingly towards Rhea and her son again. They were eating lunch in the shade of one of the trailers. Rhea’s short dark hair disturbed by the soft wind, smile curling the corners of her mouth while watching Marcus, who was talking and waving his hands around, clearly excited.

Beth smiled.

It was so normal, just a day on the set. There was nothing special there, but Beth still felt her heart growing larger and larger in her chest. She took a deep breath.

“We’ve been filming for a month,” Ruby said, finally sitting in the chair next to her, “and all you’ve been doing is staring at her when she cannot see.”

Beth turned to her friend, heart catching in her chest for just a second.

“That’s not true.” She said, her tone snappier than she intended.

But her friend seemed undeterred. She just rolled her eyes and leaned deeper into the chair.

“Oh yeah, right. I forgot you’ve also been falling in love with her son, as if you didn’t have enough kids already.”

 “Ruby!”

Ruby laughed loudly, whole body shaking.

Beth turned her eyes for a second to Rhea, and the woman’s eyes caught hers immediately. Soft smile that was there for her son turned into an amused one now. Beth felt her face warming up.

She stood up from her chair, hitting her friend on her arm while she passed her.

“You’re the worst.” She said and started on her way to the make-up trailer.

“Someone had to say it!” Ruby shouted after her, amusement coloring her tone.

“Are you okay?”

Beth gasped and stopped herself short from jumping up. What was with people sneaking up on her today?

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you.” Rhea said, clearly amused.

Beth just shook her head. Took a slow breath in, her eyes trying to stay focused on the set in front of her now that she knew Rhea stood behind her.

Ruby was doing a sixth take, clearly trying to stay calm.

“Are you okay?” Rhea moved closer, voice quieter. Beth could feel the heat radiating off of her body, her breath on her neck. She suppressed a shiver. “I think you eased the worst of my fall. I’m sorry I was meant to fall to your side.”

Beth tilted her head, trying to catch Rhea’s eyes. She smiled.

“It’s okay.” She said. “Doesn’t hurt that much.”

Rhea chuckled.

“What?”

“You’re always acting so tough.” Rhea said. Beth felt her hand squeezing her arm. “I understand the need, believe me.” Her hand moved down and Beth only had a second to prepare for what was about to happen before Rhea’s hand slid into her own and squeezed. “But it’s not always necessary.”

Beth could feel her heart in her chest growing again. She saw the understanding in Rhea’s eyes. She squeezed her hand back, opened her mouth-

Would you like to-

“Cut!” The director yelled, making Beth jump this time. Rhea smiled sympathetically. “Rhea, c’mon, we’ve wasted enough time.”

In a second Rhea was gone from her side, her hand leaving a ghost of warmth on Beth’s skin. Beth followed her with her eyes before Ruby obscured her line of vision.

“I fucking hate that guy.” Her friend growled as she passed by, and Beth turned around and went after her.

“Oh, that’s a nasty bruise.” Rhea said, walking through the doors of the wardrobe department just as Beth pulled the corset away from her body.

She looked down, the angry purple bruise poured down from underneath the shirt and over her hip. She pulled the shirt up, trying to see how far up it reached, and she winced at the sensitivity of her own skin.

“Shit.” She mumbled under her breath. She really didn’t think it would be so bad.

“You said you were okay.” Rhea said, her voice closer now and Beth looked up and was met with the woman’s eyes instantly.

“I am okay.” She said.

Rhea squinted her eyes at her.

“Okay, sure.”

“I am. Really.” Beth repeated, feeling her voice waver under Rhea’s gaze.

Rhea gave her one resigned nod and moved to get out of her own costume as well.

They changed their clothes in silence after that, Beth trying to not aggravate her bruise too much, willing her jeans to not dig into her flesh. Not that that helped. She definitely walked much slower towards the exit than she normally would.

“I’m really sorry.” Rhea said, catching up with her in the corridor. She matched Beth’s slow step.

“It’s not your fault.” Beth said. “I didn’t think it would be so bad.”

Rhea looked guilty; her eyes kept falling down to the bruise underneath Beth’s clothes.

“Come with me to my trailer,” Rhea said softly, “I have a salve there. It’s great, worked like a charm on Marcus. It would at least soothe your skin a little.”

“You don’t really have to-“

“Beth.” Her tone of voice left no space for arguments and Beth was tired and her jeans were really starting to get on her nerves.

“Yeah, okay.” She nodded and followed Rhea to her trailer.

The walk was short and Rhea found the salve in no time at all.

“I’ll get you some joggers.” The woman said and disappeared into another room before Beth had time to argue. She shook her head, but opened her jeans and put the salve on her bruise.

The salve was cold and Beth could feel the numbing effects already. She sighed loudly.

“Working?”

Rhea appeared with soft purple pants, pushed them into her hands while she took the container away. Beth had no mind to argue with her. She sat down on the couch and changed quickly.

“Would you like to come to dinner?” Rhea asked. Words rushed almost as if they escaped her and Beth stilled. She looked up.

“Dinner?” She asked stupidly.

“Yeah.” Rhea said.

There was a soft blush on her face. Or maybe Beth just imagined it.

“An I’m sorry dinner?” Beth asked, biting the side of her lip.

“Maybe.” Rhea said titling her head to the side. Beth's heart picking up its beat in her chest. “Maybe not.”

The woman smiled and Beth couldn’t help but smile back.

Maybe not.

“Okay.”

Description: After getting injured by Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, your girlfriends make a promise for you

You cry in pain being taken out of the ring on a stretcher feeling hands tightly grip yours looking to see Bianca on your left and Sasha on your right. You were in a tag team match with Edge against Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins, while seth was giving edge along with many other people in the locker room problems becky was being a pain in the ass always trying to interfere in your matches whether it was jumping in and attacking you or helping give a hand up to your opponent which made you very angry after the first few times while seth was jumping and always taunting edge during his matches and what made you mad at seth was when he jumped Rey Mysterio and attacked his son Dom who both were one of your closest friends other than edge, Naomi, Roman Reigns, Bayley, Jey Uso, Rhea Ripley, and Damian Priest so when he made an announcement in the ring for any female wrestler to join him as his partner in a match against the two you immediately ran out of your room and joined him in the ring. The ride in the ambulance was a blur as you are asked questions and looked over before being wheeled in and checked throughout from head to toe learning you had a dislocated shoulder, fractured back, three cracked ribs, and a bruised throat from the vicious assault the couple did on you, you were doing really great against becky and even fought against Seth managing to knock him down with a superkick but you are stopped from tagging edge in by a chair hit from becky and being roughly yanked back by seth being beaten by their fists and feet along with chairs and thrown out of the ring on a table and the floor until you were curb stopped and suplex against the floor going out right when you hit the floor not seeing edge's very angry reaction of spearing seth and having a beatdown on becky giving her over to beth and rhea who despite hating each other really enjoyed and weirdly bonded while torturing becky as the paramedics load you up. You wake up in the hospital finding yourself wrapped up in bandages and seeing both women you loved with you with bianca on the phone with most likely rhea or damian while sasha held your hand smiling with tears seeing you awake gently hugging you as bianca hangs up and pulls you slowly against her "God we were so worried" you wrap your arms around them as they feel the fear of losing you wash away eating and talking with you until you fell asleep both smiling when they get a text from edge that rhea and damian got matches against the couple sending texts to the two "Kick their asses", later on they each get a match against becky making the time they both get worthy brutalizing becky and sharing the assault at the end of both matches sharing and keeping the promise they made fighting for you which warmed your heart after finding out kissing both women tenderly.

127 Beth and Rhea

“you’re insane.” - “people keep telling me that.”

So she's done it. She's told Rhea the truth. Everything. How she knows Rio, how it all started, and it's been...well, Beth would check her watch but she doesn't imagine that Rhea would react well to that right now, judging by the look on her face, and the general vibe of the scene, but it's been at least several minutes since she stopped talking and Rhea--well, Rhea is yet to say a word back.

They're sitting on Rhea's stoop at half past midnight because Beth had a drink and was feeling lonely and annoyed by the men in her life, and couldn't stop thinking about her and the look on her face the last time they saw each other. Couldn't stop thinking about how she felt. How badly she wished, in that second, that she'd done things differently. It's just that, she didn't expect this part. The part where she develops feelings for his kind-of-partner in literal crime's ex. Yeah, that part really came out of left field. Beth tells Rhea as much. She tells her that she was sitting in her living room with half a drink in her hand and that the feeling of missing her just didn't fit in her chest anymore and she had to come see her and explain.

Well.

It seemed like a good plan at the time.

Now, Beth wrings her hands and waits. It's the most painful stretch of time before she feels Rhea's eyes on her and she turns to meet her blank stare.

"You're insane," Rhea says. And Beth can't tell if it's an accusation, a compliment or what. She feels the corner of her mouth turn up anyway and she shrugs a little.

"People keep telling me that."

Rhea smiles at that and Beth exhales a quiet laugh, resisting the urge to reach out and...what? Touch her hand, offer a hug, or kiss her, maybe? She doesn't know, but she feels the energy reverberate through her like static.

"I'm sorry I lied to you," she adds. "I don't expect you to forgive me. I just wanted you to know the truth. I wanted you to hear it from me, because..."

She trails off. She wont' tell her she doesn't trust Rio to not paint her in the worst light possible given the chance, but it's hanging in the air. She sees it register in Rhea's expression, the way it softens just enough.

"I like you, too."

Rhea's voice sounds earnest with underlining regret, and while that stings, Beth doesn't blame her.

"But you don't trust me," she finishes for her and nods before getting up. "I'll go."

Beth starts toward the sidewalk, readying another apology before Rhea jumps to her feet and grabs hold of her elbow, pulling her back into a surprisingly sweet kiss that Beth had thought about but was definitely not expecting tonight. She exhales through her nose and melts into it, bringing her hand up to cradle Rhea's neck as she parts her lips, deepening the kiss for just a moment before they slowly part.

Rhea's eyes are hard when she says, "This doesn't mean I trust you."

Beth nods.

"But you're welcome to keep trying."

Beth laughs as Rhea takes a step back, just out of reach.

"I will," Beth says, watching Rhea reach her door, where she stops and looks back.

"Marcus has been asking about Jane. Maybe we can schedule a playdate."

Beth nods.

"Definitely."

"Be good until then," Rhea says, pushing her front door open, and Beth's smile widens.

"I'll try."

My Highlights from WWE Elimination Chamber & NJPW Battle in the Valley

So instead of my usual long-winded reviews I'm deciding on something else, just highlighting the stuff I like from the PPVs, in this case two on the same night

On one end we have matches like Jay White vs Eddie Kingston and Mercedes Moné vs KAIRI, and on the other you have Elimination Chambers and Sami vs Roman. Let's see what I liked

Spoilers for the PPVs, watch them first if you don't want to be spoiled

WWE Elimination Chamber

Starting with the easy one, Montreal's crowd was a huge plus, proper into it just like El Paso was last week on AEW's shows

Liv Morgan x Elimination Chambers, girl just loves some gnarly spots so you gotta appreciate the gusto. Liked the way she was eliminated too, even if I had hoped she'd be final two

KANA. Asuka is on yet another resurgence and she deserves it. Back to her roots, she once again proves to be the most viable opponent for the champions, and frankly I think she should beat Bianca (tbf I wanted Asuka vs Charlotte: the revenge so we could get Rhea vs Bianca but this way if okay too) so she can get a world title reign that doesn't get bullshitted over

FINALLY DOING THE HOLLYWOOD PARODIES

Dominik's ability to draw heat is great, he knows his role

Balor crossing from under the ring to sweep Edge

Beth and Edge did the Big Rig (Cole it's not the Shatter Machine anymore)

We need Rhea vs Beth one-on-one, make Rhea champion and have Beth challenge down the line

Starting the US title EC with Gargano vs Rollins, a feud we should have for Mania instead of Rollins vs Logan Paul

Theory locking himself in the pod was a better spot than when Carmella did it

Tezzy Ford, to absolutely nobody's surprise, did amazing, he's a year overdue in needing that singles run

Roman's character work during the match (which was slow going) is still great, even gaslighting Sami's wife. The psychology in hindsight was good too, because all the rest holds was to INTENTIONALLY kill the crowd energy, because that cut off Sami's energy source from Montreal's crowd

Also Sami's selling, not just for taking offence but also dishing it out, you feel the adrenaline carrying him through

NJPW Battle in the Valley

A surprise mention of Mascara Dorada's (aka Gran Metalik) AEW Dark win run

Adrian Quest and Kevin Knight, as well as Dorada and Volador Jr's, synergy was great

The sheer madness it is that Hideo Itami vs Darren Young (with Aiden English on commentary) would've been a 205 live taping at best in WWE and yet it's now a title match on a NJPW PPV

KENTA being a bastard, hell put KENTA vs PAC as a feud have a proper Battle of the Bastards

Rosser's STF-Chickenwing was unique-looking

Reminder that MCMG debuted 17 years ago and they're still great

That one fan who sold Jay's Too Sweet like he was just given $100

Jay White also being a bastard, he will land wherever he ends up

The absolute CRACK you hear when Eddie chops someone, few do it better

Eddie outwitting Jay by rolling out of the ring after being hit with a Blade Runner

Jay kicking out of 3 Urakens, a half and half and a Northern Lights Driver!

Eddie giving Jay respect post-match as well, Jay could've easily left after Hikuleo, he could've just disappeared but instead he put Eddie over afterwards. I'll say again, he'll land wherever he ends up

Commentary taking time to thank Jay White for his career

Watching ZSJ transition through submissions is like watching a sculptor work clay

I've only ever seen Clark Connors wrestle twice (first time being Forbidden Door) and I've enjoyed his energy both times

Mercedes out with the TCS Hana Kimura look, a bittersweet moment really, a great tribute but god I miss Hana, and I'm still not over the fact that the ones they charged got away with just an $80 fine

Mercedes this time hitting the Mone-maker cleanly

Mercedes landed, it was ultimately so important that she landed on her first post-WWE match and she did, she was worth the Mone. As much as I'm sad that KAIRI's reign was short, it makes sense

The stipulation of the main event, Okada and Tana are great wrestlers, but New Japan had fallen back on Tana vs Okada way way too many times

Overall

Match of the Night: US Championship Elimination Chamber (Jay vs Eddie is a close second but in spite of the shit finish I felt more entertained by the chamber)

Best Performance: Sami Zayn

Best Attire: Mercedes Mone's Hana Kimura gear

Best Spot: Montez Ford splashing from the chamber roof
