The eventual kazuha and sanemi dynamic

#kny crossover #genshin impact #kaedehara kazuha #shinazugawa sanemi #one day I’ll finish writing the first chapter. one day #anyways I love thinking about these two #i think platonic relationships are so fascinating #like you could definitely construe so many different friendships as romantic ships but to me these two as friends has so much potential #sanemi canonically dislikes Giyuu because he gives off a ‘better than everyone else there’ vibe that is purely unintentional #and canonically is friends with Iguro for reasons I still cannot figure out #sanemi’s so interesting because it’s not like he’s a purely chaotic character despite what his first appearance would suggest #the manga and genya’s memories clearly show that he has a lot of respect for oyakata-sama because oyakata-sama is not high and mighty and-#does in fact understand every sacrifice that goes into the battles that they fight that he must sit on the back lines for #sanemi is a very loyal person I think once someone has earned his loyalty even though he owes about showing this in very aggressive ways #I think he goes off against genya especially because genya fighting as a demon slayer goes against everything that sanemi has fought for #since they lost their happy lives sanemi has been fighting for at least one of them to still be able to live normally and he probably thinks #that Genya spat on that sentiment by becoming a demon slayer anyways #anyways I think sanemi and kazuha would have such an interesting dynamic #sanemi has the authoritative upper hand as a pillar but kazuha isn’t even a demon slayer which means sanemi’s position doesn’t do much #beyond acting as an indicator that he is one of the strongest of the corps anyways.#they’ve both lost a lot but sanemi still has someone to fight for whereas kazuha is holding onto the last embers of a corpse’s wishes #and I think them having a talk about their motivations would be very good #because I don’t think at this point that kazuha has very much reason to live beyond carrying on Tomo’s wishes #if the swords are parallels to visions I think Kazuha’s turning point will be when he receives his own nichirin sword #sorry for the long tags lmao

i do think its kinda funny when i see someone in the year of our lord 2024 talk about vocal synth music like its all gone downhill since like 2010 because like dont get me wrong i love a good niconicodouga-ass 2008 ass vocaloid joint BUT also like. the past couple years have had the most fascinatingly creative and expressive uses of vocal synthesizers ive ever heard in my life DJFSKHJDFS dont write it all off just yet!!

#usually i only see that from people who havent actually listened to any vsynth music from the past 15 years so i understand why they got to #that conclusion. and also usually theyre people who didnt listen to much vsynth music in the first place LOL they just dont know #but it is still a little funny. brother there are things beyond your wildest dreams if u just look #like some personal highlights: the stuff by rinri - particularly their use of the meika girlies #dont carry our memories away is LIFECHANGING the whispers. the spoken parts. the BELTS #plus the haunting and unrelenting instrumentation. fantastic song #and naisho no pierced's propose + birthday + gift sort of trilogy of songs. gift especially has been unreal #again the dynamics of soft intimate whispers to belts but also those fuller high notes with edges of growlyness.#plus the songs just generally rock. and those LYRICS. absolutely intense like physically painful and frightening like #yearning and codependency and possession. and the tuning and production just amps it up more #OH and slave.v.v.r has been doing crazy things for even longer but i only started getting into his stuff recently and holy shit #love eater is like. the scariest vocaloid song ive ever heard not because of the lyrics. but because of the tuning #im like. scared. i cant stop listening to it. the heavy synthesized breathy main vocals and whispered harmonies plus the VOCAL FRY #i didnt realized vocaloid5? i think? has a vocal fry option built in i heard? thats crazy #but specifically in love eater the fry and growl is amped up so deep and loud and clear compared to everything else it like #emphasizes the artificiality of the voice while also amping up the expressiveness #its awesome. and on the older slave.v.v.r songs i heard i will hit you 8759632145 times with this piano. also so fucking cool #addicted to that song. 1) its a great jazzy rocky piano tune with this piano flourish at the end of each phrase that sounds fantastic #but also 2) the lyrics are insane. using kanji to write english??????#people are doing wild ass things with vocal synths rn you guys #this isnt even getting into some of the really unique synths themselves too. adachi rei is awesome i love that shes just like #the perfect inbetween of sample based and reconstruction based vocals. shes a sample based synth #but her samples were drawn by hand LOL shes like dectalks granddaughter to me.....#a really good use of adachi rei is iyowa's heat abnormal/heat anomaly/whatever its called ITS AWESOME thats what it is hjrkfdgfd #i think the fact that vocal synths can be so realistic and clean and noiseless out the gate now has made people really stop worrying #about like. realism all together and looking more into expressiveness. omg vocal synth modernist movement

also very important to note. that in verses where my corinth2 overlaps with my dream2. they absolutely Do Not Talk About Anything, Ever. do they both have SO MUCH SHIT they'd like to or should talk about? yeah man of course, there's a lot to think about when you're both your predecessor and decidedly not your predecessor - 'dream' and 'the corinthian' are both roles, not names. and the corinthian has questions upon questions about everything: his predecessor, morpheus, the current dream and the mercy he's shown to some of his creations (like Ruin) but not to him. dream is older than this universe but still very young, and doubtless has questions of their own, too.

will either of them ever talk about any of that without being held at magical gunpoint first? not on your life, baby.

i've finally reached the part in the semester where we're covering the second law of thermodynamics. matt bellamy we're in it together now

#i post #no but in all seriousness it's super cool and i shouldn't make it out to be super hard because i should have confidence in myself #i'm also finally getting to use energy equations in a fun way (that E = KE + PE shit you probably saw in the last few years of grade school #you don't really get much use out of them in the first two sections covering simple kinematics and then EM #beyond them being slightly more convenient ways of solving problems #but they're obviously essential to thermodynamics and now it's fun #i still don't test well however but the prof is the gay tumblr user to my luke skywalker. he sees my chanel boots. he sees me throw down--#on the practice problems we do in class #so i have a chance at an A in the class with a really really cool extra credit assignment #right after spring break i have to give a 5-10 minute presentation on thermodynamics WRT my major #the most obvious low-hanging fruit is the color of stars (and if i can't find anything else i will do that)#but i'm almost tempted to try and find a hw problem in the book and do a whole thing on that #that way i get to show off the fact that i do know how to do math i just have a really poor memory lol #or maybe i'll do something on the future of the universe at the largest timescales-- like how all star cores will eventually turn to iron #or how black holes gradually dissolve #idk #but yeah super cool shit

EB: Why did Stories cut off his communications? Has this been going on for a while?

EPS: It... happens periodically. Sometimes it lasts only a cycle, or sometimes longer. The longest he's had communications shut off was for eleven cycles.

EB: That's an awfully long time. Do you know why, or have you asked about it at all?

EPS: I wish I knew, or any of us knew. That's the one thing Stories never told us. I've tried to pry into it, but Stories ended the conversation quickly every time.

EB: What happens when he's gone?

EPS: Nothing much different, but since Stories wouldn't answer, I have to take lead as a temporary position. Not that there's many of us.

EB: Who's us?

EPS: So far, it's Thirteen Elder Stories, Eight Crashing Tides, Me, Last String of Life, and now you.

EB: I see.

EB: When do you think that Stories's communications will open again?

EPS: I... don't know. Whatever the case may be, I'll hold this group together for him until he comes back.

EB: That's the earliest thing I remember. My creator never shown me how to communicate, so I had to learn from Prism.

It was sort of a give and take with them, but they only took things. For my experience anyways.

ok the fic im working on is raindrop going out and getting ear piercings. here was the original brainworm: a lot of peoples ghouls have pointed ears and its soooo cute and also many have piercings which are especially cute on pointy ears, however (and this should surprise no one at all) whats the logistics of that? and then it spiraled out of control and became ice cream and ibuprofen

#beyond that i dont really remember how those ideas came together i think im just connecting everything recently #anyway i did go out and get a new piercing yesterday because it had been a while and why not #it was interesting it was the first time i had been to this place because its the first one i got since i finished grad school & moved #and a lot of the details were different #so now i guess i have a greater variety of experiences to draw from but i feel like most of the details are still going to come from the #first cartilage piercing i got which remains my ground truth #but also this time i didnt see a whole lot of what he was doing because he made me lie down so i genuinely dont know some of what happened #and he didnt make me look at the placement or anything i dont even think he marked it at all #also i was trying really hard to be social which compromised my information gathering mission somewhat just a little #its ok i got the memory refresh i wanted and i already had enough data to begin with so i can only learn more #right after he did it he said “you took that really well” which now im like 🤨 filing that away for reference
