Frankie’s comment: This fic is on Wattpad but it’s definitely not wattpad-level, if you know what I mean. At present, I’ve re-read it a total of 15 times and I still love it to bits. It’s mostly fluff, there’s really no actual angst. The only death mentioned is an OC, and even then it’s clear the author killed her for plot convenience. Despite everything being pretty vanilla, the plot is actually well thought and structured. Plus I love bkdk kids. They are just so cute. If I’m being totally honest, it could use a beta...but oh well, I’ll take it.

Romeo and Romeo by supercrunch is one of my comfort fics. Katsuki is just adorable and deku's any extrovert in quarantine. Side pairing is iidachako which I love honestly. Also katsukis' dog is so cute!

I read A Fever You Can't Sweat Out by TargaryenJedii yesterday and it definitely didn't disappoint! This fic is definition of hurt/comfort and dadzawa. I love how supportive the class, and teachers are.

i wish i may i wish i might by writedeku is another comfort fic of mine. I read it whenever I'm feeling sad and it cheers me up. I just wanna say that I'm sucker for tdbk friendship.

I normally don't read gen fics but Never Take Your Problem Children to Costco by DanceInTheKitchen is definitely an exception. I love bestie troublemaker bkdk honestly. They're gremlins ok? Also this fic is a complete crack & humor so I would suggest to not read it in public places!

Never regret thy fall by nekoelisan is just masterpiece. I love the sun & Icarus reference, the whole fic feels like poetry. I'm in love with authors' writing style and the way they describe katsukis' feelings. I don't remember how I found this fic but I'm glad I did.

When Love Decides to Stay by princejaelofbabylon felt like a slap in the face because I'm a person who can't just let go of things no matter how much they hurt me. Sometimes I reread it just to remind myself that it's okay to let someone go.

High Hopes by edema_ruh shattered me in million pieces and I'm still picking them up. Tbh I don't think I'll ever recover from this fic. I'm a person who loves angst but damn I never knew a person surviving would hurt me this much but here we are:,)

caramel dynamite supernova by deadwriter16 is fluffy and adorable. We love izuku "kacchan's amazing" Midoriya in this house (￣∇￣) they're so whipped and in love with eachother GOD.

The Night We Met by majjale ripped my heart out and tried to put it back in the place (emphasis on tried). It's so heartbreaking to see izuku dying over and over again and katsuki can't do anything about it. I actually didn't understand the ending at first but everything became clear once I read the sequel.

Our Way Out by Ana_Writes is one of my first fics that I've read on ao3. Anas' writing style is very unique. I remember being in awe when I first read it. Also ponytail katsuki is superior!!

colors of a ghost by ladyofsnails was my first ghost deku story. I remember reading it when there was storm outside (which gave it more creepy & scary vibe???).

So Much Worse Than A Phantom Limb by s_the_queen is incredible. Swags' ooc ochako is the only ooc ochako I'll accept. I love how supportive mina, kirishima, kaminari, jirou, asui and ALMOST whole class were. Also bakumomo friendship y'all!

I feel like A Split Second by jesskrt is kinda like origin to Spideydeku. It's inspired by that scene in spiderman where that girl fell off the building & Peter tries to save her but couldn't.

As soon as I saw the summary of Lubēre, Libēre by empressvika I knew it would hurt. So of course I read it. I like how in this fic deku is the one who's struggling to identify his feelings and not katsuki. Because I feel like that's canon in the manga.

wrinkled oranges, pigeons, and other sweet things to call your significant other by sapphicflower is that bittersweet fic that makes me feel mix of different kind of emotions. Old bkdk makes me feel so sad? And happy??? At the same time😭 I feel happy because they did grow old together but at the same time it's sad but not in the bad way. Like when you realize that your sibling grow up and you feel nostalgic kind of way.

The Tale of the Red-Eyed Demon by Seeress is one of my first bkdk fics I've read. And it's amazing. Honestly anything by Seeress is a piece of art. I would recommend all of their fics.

How to Train Your Useless Dragon by Mikacrispy is the fic I never knew I needed. As you can guess its inspired by How To Train Your Dragon. I love how author combined HTTYD and MHA universes together. Definitely worth reading.

“So. You’re telling me this guy looks like your dad? But younger?”

The little tyke nodded furiously, clutching onto Katsuki’s pants leg, fluffy blonde curls bouncing back and forth. Katsuki had to stifle a grin at the sight. Sue him, it was cute. The brat had bigass eyes that phased in and out of sight behind his curls as he bounced on his tiny feet, shuffling incessantly, almost like-

“Daddy!” the kid suddenly implored, staring into Katsuki’s soul with his huge fucking Bambi eyes. (Seriously, what the fuck? When did they start making kids this cute?) “Up!”

Tiny arms shot up in his direction, barely reaching his hips. “You want me to pick you up?” Katsuki asked, teasing, just to see him react. The kid nodded heavily again, stretching and whining like that would get him up faster. Katsuki bent down, humouring him. “What do we say?”

Jesus, he sounded like his father.

“Please!” The kid said sweetly, with a hint of a child’s lisp. Katsuki lifted him, musing at how light he was. It was insane to think that he or Deku had ever been this size, like a strong wind could blow them away. He held onto the kid tighter at the thought, then chastised himself internally for the sudden protectiveness that came out of nowhere. He was getting soft.

Aizawa seemed unamused at the exchange, texting someone on his phone, although most of the onlooking Class 3-A looked bewildered at the sight of tall, built, grumpy Bakugou gently carrying a tiny, adorable child. Kirishima and Mina just looked fond. Todoroki, apparently unconcerned, continued eating his noodles and pretending not to sneak glances at Sero. (He thought he was subtle. He was not. Katsuki hated his stupid simp ass.) Pinching the bridge of his nose, Aizawa muttered something about problem children. Children? It was just Bakugou here. Well, and the tyke. The other problem child-

“I’m here!” Deku burst through the door, panting. “I’m sorry I’m late for movie night I had to meet with All Might and I saw a dog on the way back and it was so cute it kind of reminded me of Kiri-”

“Papa!” Belted the newly exuberant kid, right in Katsuki’s fucking ear, now wriggling like an eel to get out of his grasp.

Wait. What.

The kid succeeding in sliding down his legs and rushing to Deku, who instinctively knelt down to catch the flying kid in his arms into a hug. “Hi Papa! Look! Daddy’s small! You’re small too! Oji-san has less grey hair and Uncle Kiri is smaller and Auntie Mina isn’t growing a baby anymore and I think I have to go to the bathroom!”

Okay. Now the whole class looked shocked, none more so than Deku. Actually, Kirishima and Mina looked even more fond and amused, fuck them. Their eyes were twinkling and mouths were stretched in ecstatic, teasing grins, openly glancing back and forth between Katsuki and Deku. Why wasn’t she fucking concerned about the pregnancy in her future? Sero mouthed “Oji-san?” and looked up at Aizawa, whose face remained unchanged, although he remained glaring steadfastly at his phone. Katsuki peeked. He was texting Mic-Sensei. There were a lot of messages on Aizawa’s end, now, and what looked like a bunch of unhelpful kaomoji’s from Mic.

Come to think of it, the kid did look a lot like Deku. The freckles matched, although Katsuki had long given up avoiding being reminded of Deku every time he saw someone with freckles, and had thus thought little of it. But the green eyes and excited rambling was unmistakable. He was now mumbling happily, shifting back and forth, nearly on Deku’s toes, clutching his shirt near identically to the way he had been holding Katsuki’s pants. Deku looked at the kids hair, then up at Katsuki from his kneeling position on the floor. Tch. Trust the nerd to connect the dots. Although the way his eyes were shiny but wary told Katsuki he was having a hard time believing it.

“Kacchan…?” Deku asked, gripping the kid a little tighter, impossible hope in his eyes. Katsuki was sure he was wearing a similarly idiotic expression too, taking in the side-by-side Bambi eyes and freckles, juxtaposed with his hair colour in curly form and his mother’s nose. His chest was going to explode. It broke Katsuki’s heart a little, to see such immeasurable longing reflected in the eyes of someone whose wishes he could have granted ages ago if they weren’t both so stupid. (Okay, mostly Katsuki. But he was never going to admit that.)

The kid had gone quiet, looking between the two of them. Perceptive. (Definitely his and Deku’s kid. Holy shit, this was his and Deku’s kid.) He held one hand out to Katsuki, who instinctively took it, and looped the other around Deku’s neck as he sat on his knee. “Papa came home Daddy! You gotta give him his welcome home kiss!” The kid scolded, little face aghast at his Daddy forgetting their daily tradition. Deku’s face immediately drowned in red, which was an amusing enough sight to distract Katsuki from the steam was coming out of his ears. No way in hell was he kissing the nerd right now, but the idea was sending him into spontaneous cardiac arrest. Not just kissing Deku, but the potential of having a domestic, stable enough life with him that things like welcome home kisses were the norm. Where a kid pattered around there to witness it, and remind them if they forgot. Where they were safe in the warm cocoon of a future together. Katsuki was well aware his eyes were glazed over at his wonderment, but Deku’s were, too, clearly having the same train of thought. Deku smiled shyly up at him, and Katsuki couldnt stop his face from softening back, the barest hint of a smile escaping unbidden. The kid suddenly blinked rapidly, then disappeared, completely gone. Deku blinked too, in a comically identical way, lashes fluttering and oh, Katsuki never had a chance. He was so, so gone for this boy.

Aizawa clicked his phone off and huh. He had had a timer going. “Ten minutes on the dot. The quirk user is only a teen right now but they happen to be in general studies here, so Nedzu let me know the details of the quirk’s effects. No harm comes to anyone involved, just ten minutes in the future or past of whoever you last touched, which in this case must have been Bakugou. Good job getting me. Now I’m going back to sleep. Please don’t contact me unless there is an emergency. Bakugou, Midoriya, if I hear a peep of noise complaints about your rooms, I’m expelling you both. If anyone gives me any details, I’m expelling them too. Good night.” With that, Aizawa stepped out of the room, leaving multiple classmates shaking with poorly-muffled laughter and a very red Katsuki and Deku. They made eye contact and hurriedly looked away, Deku scratching the back of his head and Katsuki shoving his hands deep in his pockets. “We should probably talk,” Deku ventured through his blush, “My room or yours?”

Katsuki threw his Level 5 Imminent Death Glare at Kaminari when he opened his mouth, satisfied with the “eep!” it provoked. “Hurry up then,” he said to the nerd, already walking towards the elevators. Deku fell into step next to him as he always did, and apparently always would, if the quirk was to be believed. Katsuki had to hide another smile at that. He didn’t know exactly what the future held, but if the way the nerd was looking at the floor and smiling uncontrollably, seemingly unknowingly, was any indication - it would be pretty alright.

Now that we have reached the last chapter of the year. It is time to do a 2020 roll call of what I like to call, “State of the Shippers”:

1. IzuOcha. Status: Placated.

-IzuOcha’s could celebrate several cute tidbits throughout the year. Mini moments as they say.

Anime Highlights: The OVA’s came in clutch with moments for shippers all around and IzuOcha is no exception. We got a cute tidbit where Izuku and Ochako bumped into each other and were flustered.

Manga Highlights: Christmas kept on giving to this fandom as the AM doll Izuku gave Ochako made many appearances. A cute fist bump between the two was also exchanged and Mina was right there bouncing with y’all.

Heroes Rising: Izuku super man carried Ochako to safety. And was Angy she was injured. Fans could enjoy the small Lois Lane moment.

Troubling Signs?: Ochako said “I would like to be excluded from this narrative” when it comes to her feelings for Deku. She’s a hero damnit! So if they are in for something, probably won’t be while they are still in school.

II. DabiHawks. Status: Yikes.

- Dabi and Hawk’s very public breakup set this fandom in disarray but also kind of disayay?

Anime Highlights: None yet. This fandom was cruelly cock blocked by Bones. Sorry DabiHawks stans.

Manga Highlights: Where to begin, my goodness. With these fans, I guess the good and the bad is a plus in this homoerotic double agent relationship. We have the notion that Dabi may have known Hawks when they were kids, which may be a positive? Hori sure loves his childhood friends. Other than that. The GIRLS WERE FIGHTIN’. Hawks is now permanently scarred by Dabi and I don’t think it was kinky folks. Tokoyami inserted himself in the middle to White Knight Hawks, Dabi broke up with him via YT expose and overall, shippers could anguish in the absolute MESS that this ship endured this year. But I’m sure that’s part of the appeal. So...yay?

Heroes Rising: They were both in it.

Troubling Signs?: The entire relationship is a troubling sign which again, is part of the appeal. Maybe Hawks will cuddle up with Dabi’s father after the war. That’s troubling! Speaking of...

III. EndHawks. Status: Yearning and Burning.

-If there’s one thing Endeavor couldn’t stop worrying about, it was his hot (in more ways than one) new side piece who probably should have looked at the fine print when signing a contract to be a recurring guest star on “Keeping up with the Todoroki’s”.

Anime Highlights: A fateful meeting finally in high definition for all our eyes to see! Hawks’s unwavering support of his biggest hero was endearing to watch and their shenanigans together spurred the anime onlies to finally jump on the biggest May-December ship in the series.

Manga Highlights: Endeavor’s admiration and concern for Hawks seeped through the pages as we entered our most exciting arc in the manga yet. Fate split these two up yet entwined their downfall together. And that Fate’s name was Dabi...or should I say ⚫️⚫️⚫️⚫️⚫️ or should I just say Touya!

Heroes Rising: “Don’t bite my head off, Endeavor.” Geez, can you flirt a little less loud Hawks?

Troubling Signs?: They say never meet your heroes and Hawks is in for a rude awakening. We shall see just how deep his admiration runs or if Endeavor’s past will split our dynamic duo up for good.

IV: TodoDeku. Status: “Precious”

-Shoto’s “Midoriya is in Danger” radar was highlighted in both manga and anime. 4th User’s quirk, who?

Anime Highlights: “Midoriya hasn’t returned yet.” “Where’s Midoriya?” “Midoriya! Grab my hand!” “Have some of my Soba Midoriya.” Shoto gets it. His emotional support friend is a danger magnet. TodoDeku’s also enjoyed tiny tidbits in the OVA such as a hand grabbing scene. Gotta hold tight to those crumbs.

Manga Highlights: Two Words. “Precious Friend.” Deku comes in w/o arms or legs fighting for Shoto and Shoto’s honor. These two spent the entire year worried sick about each other, and going against all odds to save each other. Precious Friends indeed. TDDK fans ate.

Heroes Rising: Shoto kicks some dog ass and then faints thinking of Deku (and Bakugo but shh. Let the shippers rejoice.) On the bright side, we have a 3rd movie coming featuring “The Three Musketeers” so shippers of TdDk can HOLD TIGHT to what’s to come.

Troubling Signs?: Shoto still doesn’t know about OFA and he’s gonna have LOTS of questions after this arc. Will Deku finally tell him? If not, it could make or break the ship.

V. TodoBaku. Status: “Shining through the city with a little funk and soul.”

-Who knew the greatest comedy duo we needed was Shoto and his hot headed “friend” or not friend? It still remains unclear to Shoto. Regardless, these two had a fun year.

Anime Highlights: “I wanna see your cute face”, disco dancing, and more fun in the provisional license training. Plus the OVA added some cute moments between the two such as Bakugo staying behind to save Todoroki during a dangerous excercise and his adorable plan neatly animated for us. I’d say TodoBaku’s really were resurgent and energized this year!

Manga Highlights: Shoto, that is not how you properly Catch a Kacchan, I’m sorry. But at least you did it you mad lad. As with Deku, Shoto spent the year worried sick about Bakugo. While the anime let us have our fun, these two were suffering in the manga.

Heroes Rising: Again, Shoto put a dog down and then fainted with Bakugo on his mind (and Deku but we ignore that. Shush.) TodoBaku’s have the 3rd movie to look forward to which is bound to have some amazing content!

Troubling Signs?: They have a lot of trauma to deal with. And a lot of Deku to worry about. I also imagine Shoto will be hurt about being left out of the OFA secret. We shall see what 2021 has to offer.

VI. KiriMina. Status: Unbreakable.

-Changing your hairstyle to match the gal who inspired you in middle school? Sorry y’all but if Mina were a guy, I’d say that’s gay af.

Anime Highlights: We got that backstory Bois. Red Riot’s origin might as well make him be called Pink Riot. Again with Hori and the childhood friends though I wouldn’t exactly call them friends. They just went to the same middle school but Kirishima was highly influenced by Mina’s Chivalrous spirit! A ship is born!

Manga Highlights: The influence is mutual! Mina creates a move based on Kirishima’s unbreakable and we all let out a collective “awwww”. Also in the war arc, we got Kirishima making sure Mina’s chivalrous spirit shines through right into Gigantomachia’s mouth! KiriMina may just be the unsung MVP’s of this arc.

Heroes Rising: They were in it.

Troubling Signs?: I can’t think of a single one. KiriMina’s can enjoy a peaceful sailing.

VII: KiriBaku. Status: Crumb Collectors.

-2020 was an uneventful year for KiriBaku but Bones made sure there were crumbs aplenty! Thank God for OVA’s!

Anime Highlights: KiriBaku’s did thrive in one episode! Kirishima reflects on the sludge incident and evolves his quirk based on inspiring words from Bakugo! Hooray! KiriBaku’s can thrive in their blossoming friendship. The OVA also has Kirishima (and Kaminari but shh) once again following Bakugo’s lead when it comes to the training excercise. How can you not? He’s so manly!

Manga Highlights: Not gonna lie. There is nothing much here this year. I did find a teeny tiny flake in Aizawa’s flashback. Kirishima and Bakugo are sitting next to each other. Oh! And at the hot pot gathering, Bakugo sits next to Kirishima! Eat your crumbs KiriBaku’s! There’s always next year!

Heroes Rising: Kirishima hangs with a lazy Bakugo and delivers the most hilarious line in the whole movie. “Silly Bakugo, there won’t be villains here!” Hahah... Silly Bakugo. Oh you~ KiriBaku’s can inhale the fact that those two sure love to hover around each other!

Troubling Signs?: With great crumbs come little responsiblity. No trouble if there’s no content! 🤔

VIII: KamiJirou. Status: Singing their hearts out 🎶

-If there’s any ship that’s coming close to canonization, I think this is it, folks! “Think of the person most important to you!” Can’t argue with Midnight!

Anime Highlights: Kaminari does non stop encouraging of Jirou and her hobbies! He works super hard to learn guitar for her sake! We love a king who can encourage his queen!

Manga Highlights: Kaminari thinks of the most important person to him and surprise! It’s Jirou! All of the feels can commence.

Heroes Rising: They were in it!

Troubling Signs?: Kaminari does love his women. And men. Kaminari overall is a huge flirt. But Jirou appears to have his heart strings. ❤️

IX: BakuDeku. Status: Rising. 👑

-Alternative Statuses include Winning, Thriving, Soaring. It’s just been non stop content this year. 2020 is truly the year for BakuDeku. The shippers can rejoice.

Anime Highlights: Three words. Be. My. Cane. The OVA’s helped fan the flames of the BkDk hearts with a surprise! Deku tops! Not only that, we got a lovely shoulder tap of encouragement in the canon material. While in season 4, Deku’s primary focus was Eri. Bakugo and Deku still had their moments to be hella gay.

Manga Highlights: Where do I even begin? I guess we’ll just cut to the chase with Bakugo Katsuki: Rising. We finally saw Bakugo’s true feelings manifest for Deku and if getting stabbed for him isn’t the ultimate showing of love, then idk what is. BakuDeku’s rounded out the year with the Volume 29 cover AND the volume 29 cover drafts to eat at our heart strings. Overall, their relationship got the spotlight in the manga this year. And we’re bound to start 2021 with a dramatic confrontation. Hand holding seems to be the key with these two and it didn’t stop with Heroes Rising...speaking of.

Heroes Rising: The entire movie. Like....yeah. That’s it. [OP, your bias is showing. You have to be SPECIFIC.] {But random criticizer in my head, if I lay out the entire plot of the movie, my post will be too long} [OP....] UGHHHH Okay okay. The POPSICLE MELTING. THE HAND HOLDING. THE CHARACTER DESIGNS OF WHAT MIGHT AS WELL BE THEIR LOVE CHILDREN. Did I mention? “It’s fine if it’s you?” CAUSE YEAH. Oh and All Might randomly officiating their wedding in their heads like idk. Isn’t it just simpler if I say the whole movie??!

Why Bkdk is NOT toxic:

A look through their relationship throughout the series

As bakudekus, we experience that “bkdk is toxic!1!” argument on a daily. It’s something that we have all just.. let sit next to us knowing that it’s always going to be there. Of course, and understandably, it bothers most of us. What many see, especially non-manga readers, isn’t what we see.

Let’s start off with what they see. In the first episode/chapter, we start off with Bakugous infamous “Swan dive off the roof” line.

Of course, no matter how you look at it, this was a terrible thing that Bakugou said to Izuku. There is no excuse. Telling someones to kts, no matter how you may disagree and not see eye to eye, is always inexcusable (this applies to real life too!!)

Later in the chapter, Bakugou carries around a can that says “Lip Service,” which, pretty much means being all talk and not meaning actions behind the words that are being said (usually said with a negative connotation.)

Once again, does this excuse what he said to Izuku? Absolutely not. However, this does give us insight on the future and when we find out about how Bakugou feels for Deku.

Note: As for the bullying prior to this scene, there is no proof that Bakugou continuously bullied Deku as of when this has been written.

Then, the sludge incident happened. At first glance, Deku looked horrified at the attack. However, he didn’t make any moves as he assumed that the heroes will come in and save the person. Once it was revealed to him that it was Bakugou, Izuku had his “My body moved on its own” moment and did not even hesitate to save Kacchan.

After the sludge villain attack, it was explicitly stated that Bakugou had not bullied Deku since then.

Now, the two are in UA and it is revealed that Deku has a quirk to Bakugou. A quirk that he was told to keep its origins of a secret. However, Deku told Bkg about OFA, ignoring All Mights warnings because he felt like he could not lie to Kacchan. Despite them still having a very rocky relationship at this point in the series, Deku still felt the need to tell Kacchan about OFA. He could not lie to him. He could lie to his mom, all of UA, everyone in the world, but not to Kacchan.

Fast forward to DVK2 and they are fighting out their emotions. Here, Deku talks about how, although he hated those small parts of Bakugou that bullied him, he never let the bad outshine the good. He always looked up to Bakugou and wanted to be just like him.

Deku compares how he sees Kacchan to All Might. His literal hero. The man who he idolizes like crazy. He felt closer and more inspired by Kacchan than All Might. Because Kacchan was always there next to him. In Dekus eyes, despite the bullying and all, he saw Kacchan as more than All Might.

Izuku expresses how he is the only one who can accept Bakugous feelings. Not because it is explicitly about the two of them, rather it’s because he is the only one willing to listen and understand where he is coming from. And Bakugou knows this too. He could have easily asked anyone else, but instead he chose Izuku. He trusted Deku enough to be vulnerable around him.

During this fight, Bakugou expresses how he always thought that Deku continuously looked down on him. And it’s because he has never seen such genuine kindness from anyone. He was always expected to get up on his own. All because of his quirk and how he was praised for being gifted with such. He always thought that Izuku had an “attitude” that he was so unfamiliar with.

Deku, during their fight, although he does not say it out loud because he thinks that it “sounds stupid,” talks about how he sees Kacchan and his image of victory. To him, when he thinks of victory, Kacchan is who comes to mind.

After this fight, they are able to start to see eye to eye and start to understand each other’s perspectives. Now that Bakugou knows about OFA, they start to work and grow together. Win to save and Save to win.

In the JT arc there are very fun moments between the two as they start becoming more and more friendly with each other. They continue to try and one up each other, but it is much different than before. There is a lighter undertone to their words and actions. They start hanging out in the meeting room with All Might as there is also a lot of banter between the two—this is when their relationship has started to mend. Not to mention, during this arc Deku unlocks black whip all because Monoma insulted Kacchan.

Now, after the two spend so much time together with the JT and Endeavor agency arcs, the two has become much closer than they were at the beginning of the series. The two have started to mend their bond and continue to do so.

Then, the war arc.

After realizing that Shigaraki is after OFA, Deku makes the decision to follow after him. Throughout these panels, he looks absolutely terrified. Of course, why wouldn’t he be? He is about to run into a battle field all on his own, without any support and with no one knowing what he plans to do.

However, Kacchan does.

Kacchan follows Deku to Shigaraki. He claims that it’s because he has “unfinished business” with him, but, while that may be partly true, that’s not the full truth (I.e. he wants to protect Deku.)

Now, the two have reached Shigaraki and Deku is fighting against him. Bakugou tells Deku to get away from him and that he should be the last person near him. The response Bakugou gets is that no one else can defeat Shigaraki as Kacchan watches Deku in absolute fear that he will end up being terribly hurt.

Side note: look at the terror in his eyes.. I’m gonna sob

Within this specific fight with Shigaraki, there are many heroes with the two. Some of which are Endeavor, Shouto, Rock Lock, Aizawa (injured), etc. Despite knowing that this is a child up in the air fighting Shigaraki, some (not Rock Lock, he had the right idea with questioning why children are on the battle field) look in amazement as Deku continuously breaks himself so he can try and get Shigaraki down.

However, Kacchan sees past this as he yells at the other heroes about how this is not helping Deku in the slightest and that he is going to get himself killed at the rate that he was going.

Bakugou devises a plan to try and help Deku and to get Shigaraki down as the heroes look in awe at Deku. He uses Shouto and Endeavor as they try and get up to where the two were and have Endeavor use his Prominence Burn on Shigaraki in hopes that would bring him down.

While Bakugou is flying them up to Deku, he has a flashback to a conversation with All Might.

They were training Deku with black whip. They were playing a game called “Catch a Kacchan” (I will never get over how cute this name is 😭) and they called in others to help Deku practice with quirks similar to the ones that he will eventually or has either unlocked (Uraraka for Float, Tsu for black whip, etc.)

As All Might and Bakugou watch on as Deku trains, they have a conversation.

Bakugou asks All Might why he is hiding information about the fourth user from Deku. No, he doesn’t ask, he confronts him. He confronts his childhood hero for the sake of Deku. He straight up tells All Might to stop keeping information from, knowing that this could potentially harm him.

Bakugou is upset at that point. He wishes for All Might to stop keeping secrets from them, more specifically Deku.

Then, as the two continue to talk, All Might brings up the fact that he is worried for Izuku. And Bakugou is too, to which he does not deny in any sort of way.

Note: once again, even when they’re not on the battle field, Bakugou looks so worried for Deku. Many have speculated that him looking tired throughout this chapter (ch. 284) has to do with him continuously worrying about Izuku and thinking about their past together.

Bakugou continues the conversation as he talks about how Deku does not understand how special he is. All Might brings up the idea of atonement and questions Bakugou as to whether that is what he is doing with Deku as a way to make up for their past, to which Bakugou does not disagree upon. The conversation then ends with All Might talking about how the two will eventually get to talk this out together and allow for Bakugou to express his worries for Deku to him.

Then, the scene changes back to the battle field as Endeavor uses his Prominence Burn onto Shigaraki, only for it to fail as he got right back up due to his regeneration.

The battle continues between Deku and Shigaraki (who at this point is AFO) as he releases Quirk Activation spikes in Izukus direction.

Kacchan, seeing as Deku is about to get hurt, rushes to him in an instant.

Throughout this scene, we see Bakugous inner monologue. Here, we are shown all his regrets with his and Dekus relationship. How he completely regrets bullying him in the past. Deku are his final thoughts in a moment where he thinks he is about to die.

Kacchan had his “my body moved on its own” moment as he rushed in to save Deku.

After Bakugou was hit, his first words to Deku were to try and calm him down and to tell him to not win this on his own.

Upon seeing Kacchan hurt, to even say that Deku went bat shit crazy would be an understatement. He was absolutely livid as we see him fight like never before.

As Deku continues to fight against Shigaraki, Shouto flies up with his fire quirk to catch Bakugou as he is falling, to which he eventually grabs Deku after him and Shigaraki separate and Izuku starts to fall.

After putting them on the ground, Shouto goes back and fight with Nejire.

As Iida had arrived at the battle field by this point, he tries to help an injured Bakugou get out of the battle field. However, Bakugou refuses as he continues to fight.

Here, it is revealed that Bakugou, just by seeing Deku almost die, has never felt so close to death in his lifetime. Not when Bakugou got kidnapped. Not when class 1A was attack at the USJ, not after he was stabbed. It was the thought of Deku dying that made him feel like he was about to die.

The need to get to Deku caused for a quirk evolution as he had to advance his quirk in that moment to be able to reach Deku.

After the battle is done, Bakugou falls into a 2 day coma. When he wakes up, the first thing he asks is how Deku, Todoroki, Aizawa, etc. are doing.

Upon hearing that Deku is still asleep, Kacchan rushes out of bed to get to his room despite still being heavily injured. At this moment, Bakugou knew that he would not be able to talk to Deku. He just wanted to know if he was okay. He just wanted to see him.

After having to tie him up with Tsuyus tongue, knowing that that if they tie him up with anything else he would explode it, Bakugou yells “Why am I awake while you’re still asleep?” towards Dekus room as he is being dragged away by the class.

Many have taken that line as a way of showing that Bakugou fully expected to die for Deku at that moment. And he was willing to. Seeing that his effort to protect him failed and led to Deku being in a coma only greatly upset Kacchan.

At the moment that this has been written, Deku still hasn’t woken up and Kacchan was forced back to his room.

If after reading this post you still think that bkdk is toxic because of their past, I do want you to understand that people change. We all have a past, a present, and a future. You are not who you were in your past. You are who you are in the present, and you will be someone different in the future.

Bakugou clearly regrets how he treated Deku. This is not an opinion, this is a fact. He is trying to change and mend their relationship. They are living in the present right now, not the past.

Izuku does not hold any grudge against him and even admits that he feels blessed to be able to have conversations with Kacchan.

When it comes to Bakudeku, so many only look at the first episode. Even if you’re just an anime-only, the anime has DVK2. The episode where a lot of their progression comes from.

At this point, if you still think that their relationship is toxic, then im really not sure what to tell you. If your argument is still “in the first episode...” The no. Stop. We are 300+ chapters in. These two are the main protagonists and the show literally revolves around them. They are obviously going to grow. You can’t completely ignore this growth because of what happened in the first episode. You can’t only look at the things you want to and ignore the big picture.

Some bkdk stans try hard to find a proof for their ship. I read a post about how Bakugou and Izuku have complementary eyes color red and green but like Iida have red eyes too. That means that Iidadeku is canon? Ochako and Izuku heroe costumes is pink and green how also are complementary colors. Do this is proof of Izuocha?

Does that mean a person with brown eyes and an other person with blue eyes can not end up together because their eye color is not "complementary"??? I realized that I didn't clarify I meant BKDK Kids/Family Headcanons or well Future Headcanons.

- So we know the resident kids of Eri, Kouta, and Katsuma went to U.A. and became the future Big Three. But I do see some some Class 1-A and 1-B end up being teachers (I don't know why but the idea of Shinshou, Denki, and Mina come to my mind)

- But, that's not what you came for. You came for future BKDK content

- So I imagine, they get married around 20. Right after they both broke top twenty heroes (look if Hawks at somehow at 22 got into top five I say this is realistic) as a weird celebration with their pro agency called Twin Stars lead by the Wonder Duo.

- Now, they went with Bakugou last name which was a full decision made by Izuku not because Midoriya wasn't a good last name, but he really liked the sound of Izuku Bakugou.

- Them being married was the best and worse thing ever to happen to their Agency. Because look at these boys they're so in love and being so chill and cute, but also ewww they're so in love that everyone needs to make sure they knock before they enter offices in fear that they'll find these two just making out

Then just with babies (they babysit MiriTama baby occasionally) and was just damn, i want kids with him.

- Izuku knew that Katsuki usually called kids brats but he's just so good with them. They just see him as amazing as he did when he was young. Plus most of the time Katsuki was gentle to them only scolding them when they were truly being brats.

- Then at 22 they had decided to have a child. Fun Fact, Mitsuki would be around 23 when Katsuki would've been born (also Inko had Midoriya when she was around 17 if the wiki is right)

- Luckily with the future and quirks there are quirks to have kids with each other and create a kid. But the user of the Quirk caused a little oopsie. They got fraternal twins!

- Izuku and Katsuki freaked out because they were only prepared for one child (the quirk user mentioned that they been in medical business for children that this isn't uncommon it's just a 0.004 chance) but they were happy.

- I don't know why but BKDK having twins just make sense to me... I mean TWIN Stars? Come on its right there. Anyway I did think of names with Nozomi and Katsuo Bakugou.

- The twins both inherited Bakugou's blonde hair, but they got Midoriya's eye color. Nozomi got Bakugou's eye shape while Katsuo got Midoriya's eye shape

- At first it was hard to raise twins, but they got the handle of it. As toddlers Nozomi was the fussy one that needed to be near her parents while Katsuo needed to be kept an eye on or else he will run out the door.

- Izuku and Katsuki weirdly compete over silly things. Who is the kids first word (Deku is Papa, Baku is Dad), who is the better diaper changer, who makes the perfect bottle more often, but at night they take turns to who get late night crying but usually Izuku is up so he does it because these kids are the reason Katsuki can no longer sleep at 8pm sharp.

- Also in terms of quirks of what their kids would have I literally have no idea. But I have a couple options of Telekinesis (inherited from Inko but more powerful), Combustion (a mix of the Fire breath and explosion so its more general), Fireworks (a mix of the lightning from Izuku lighting up the sky but the explosion aspect this would be more long ranged), Thunder (the after effect of lightning, but with the boom of an explosion), but if you have better ideas please let me know

reactions to the bnha: heroes rising film

spoilers alert !

(i risked coronavirus to go to the cinema for this but no regrets because we all want to die anyway oof-)

the film was very 1a centred & that’s gr8 and all especially since we got to witness the bond they had between them & just. how incredibly amazing their teamwork is

but i really ,,, miss,,, aizawa (my fave, my tru love)

he had a total of 3 (?) scenes, each of them lasting like less than 10 secs - even toshinori had more scenes than that : (

but you know who even had less screen time (aka none),,, our boy,,, the valid purple son,,,, shinsou hitoshi : (

the person who had the most screen time was this new villain called nine and i really wanna yell begone thot at him because he was like “i want to create a utopia where the powerful rules” and i was like thinking,, yo that shit sounds like capitalism & neoliberalism

his character design was really pretty, but it didn’t make up for his ideology that came outta nowhere with no backstory - so it was really hard to empathise/sympathise

what makes a villain good is 1) sufficient backstory 2) being so damn predictable and familiar that you actually prefer them over every other new villain because better the devil you know than the devil you don’t know

anyway, what really slaps is kacchan’s fuckin character development !!

lil gremlin is still gremlin but ,, he’s working with other kids,, he’s minimising damage done to the area while fighting villains,, there was a scene of him all calm and shit while eavesdropping on izuku and katsuma (which once again proves that most of his anger is just a front he puts up in front of other people rather than a perpetual state, and ya know what, i love that introvertedness that he has),,, him being protective over the bakusquad and not blasting kaminari for teasing him,,, he and izuku fighting together like a hero duo ,,,, eye-

this movie really said bakugo character development hUH

anyway in the beginning when endeavour showed up and dabi and endeavour had this whole showdown with their fire quirks and we got this close up of endeavour’s thicc thighs and i was like :           ) we don’t stan for this here but at the same time i was like @ hawks damn ur daddy really be like that, huH

which reminds me of my whole spiel about dabi/hawks and endeavour/hawks : ‘ ) 

but yea. dabi was unfairly attractive and i just want death to consume me

okay so the plot was like,, the hero commission (aka the dodgy ass institution): how about sending the 1a kids to an island where there are no active heroes ??

so the 1a kids get yeeted off to an island,, and they are having fun helping the locals out !! (this is the wholesome content we all deserve)

also i love how izuku is established as the image of hope (the saviour) and kacchan is established as the image of victory (the victor) - this whole “win to save” and “save to win” really got laid down really heavily

I just finished reading this and my heart has been ripped out of my body and then put back together with 2 year old scotch tape. It was a lot... But the first few chapters are super fluffy so there’s that to look forward to before it stabs you in the chest with no remorse. But the tags don’t lie, there is a a good ending. Also there are a lot of interesting stuff you can learn about Deaf culture so you can learn and cry at the same time, what more can you ask for?

Oof, um this is probably not a lot of people’s cup of tea and really deserves the mature tag. Uhh I don’t want spoil anything so this may be a bit hard to explain. So much shit happens to Katsuki and even in the end Katsuki and Izuku relationship is a bit questionable. It’s a very deal with the card your dealt and not everything is perfect type of fic. Even the author calls the ending bittersweet so if you’re ready for that then this is the fic for you. Also there’s a sequel called Dolorous but I wouldn’t even look at that if you don’t want spoilers.

TODODEKU!!!! i love them so fucking MUCH theyre SOULMATES (LITERALLY. ZODIAC SOULMATES. LOOK UP CAPRICORN AND CANCER ITS INSANE) AND INSPIRE EACH OTHER AND JUST. i love them a lot.

i’m not going to sit here and lie to you and say anything other than erasermight. i dont know WHAT it is about them that got me so hard because i started shipping them as like...kind of a joke?? like “lol deku’s dad is dating his teacher” but suddenly they hit me HARD and now i’m suffering in hell. i just love the enemies to friends to lovers dynamic they have going on and how they’re VERY similar in opposite ways (all might is all smiles and optimism but he has a lot of self worth issues and doubt, aizawa is a perpetually tired and pessimistic bitch but is secretly kind and caring) and just. they had SUCH bad first impressions of each other but by working together they saw the other’s true self and decided they liked each other and its GOOD. also theyre the dads of class 1-a and i love it.

kirikacchako!!! because i am the ot3 queen and i LOVE any sunshine children/grumpy brat ships but i just think kirishima and ochako get along really well (even tho we haven’t seen much, they have cute small moments) and they both have GREAT dynamics with bakugo built on respect. kirishima calms bakugo down wheres ochako challenges him to stop being a fucking bitch. i think theres a lot of potential in this ship and i want more!! also they’re literally gavin/michael/lindsay and throw mina in and she’s meg its ridiculous. 

dabihawks!! i’m not gonna go into it too much cause you just met dabi and hawks is manga only rn but OOF. the POTENTIAL there. 

kiribaku, who I LOVE SO MUCH and i need to stop PAYING THEM DUST. i just love these two dumbass teenage boys who have so much respect for each other but are also teenage boys who are best friends. they both inspire each other but at the same time have no problem being complete assholes to each other. theyre SO FUN AND IN LOVE UGH I LOVE THEM.

honorable mention goes to kaminari/shinsou who are also more of a manga only ship but I LOVE PURPLE/YELLOW GAYS and kacchako bc OOF they would take a lot of growth on both (especially bakugo’s) sides but i think they’d be a great relationship. and like, all the girl ships are SO FUN but especially any with mina because she’s a disaster bisexual who finds any excuse to cling to the girls.

BAKUGO/MINA AND DEKU/KIRISHIMA GROWING UP TOGETHER. because like. i love bkdk’s relationship but GOD what a fucking nightmare. bc deku stood up to bakugo but he still idolized him, which mina would NOT. mina and bakugo growing up together would mean when bakugo started getting worse and turning into a bully mina would stand up to him and tell him off but she also wouldn’t be bothered by bakugo telling her to FUCK OFF. so i imagine they’d get into a lot of fist fights and quirk fights but mina never gives up on him which ANNOYS bakugo cause he’s like “she’s annoying i hate her” but he gets used to it and he actually grows up to be SEMI more developed then he is in canon. and then kirishima and deku, the two fucking SUNSHINE CHILDREN. they would bond over their love of heroes and wanting to be one, and where kirishima thinks his quirk is lame deku is like NO ITS SO COOL and when deku’s quirk never develops and he’s diagnosed as quirkless, all the other kids don’t bully deku (bc bakugo isn’t there leading that) they do leave him behind pretty much but kirishima never does and theyre best friends and kirishima is SO HAPPY for him when his quirk suddenly “develops”. and then they all go to UA together and its FUN.

oh GOD i just remembered my erasermight life as we know it AU where they have to raise [manga character] after not liking each other for years after a bad blind date and they fall in LOVE
