A Family Where There Once Was None-- In the future, the Black Bulls gather together at the beach with their families causing Asta to reflect on his life's journey and the family he found along the way. Rated G.

Broken Angel (AO3) -- Noelle Silva was used to being told what she couldn’t do. As a magicless child born inexplicably to the Royal House of Silva, her family had taken great care to hide her and her lack of mana from the rest of the world. However, despite being told over and over again that she would never amount to anything more than her family’s shameful secret, Noelle never gave up her dream to become a magic knight. When she joins the Black Bulls and meets Asta, an orphan from Hage who dreams of being the Wizard King despite his mana-draining magic having left him a social outcast, she begins to develop a new dream: a dream to fight by his side and to protect him just as he has always rushed to her defense and always watched over her like a guardian angel. But all dreams come at a price… Rated T for action sequences and thematic elements.

I’ll Be Waiting (AO3) -- Finral shouldn't have been surprised--he had known it all along that it would be Langris who would one day be the heir to House Vaude. He had expected it, but that didn't mean it hurt any less. He had no choice now but to leave home. There was no place for him here. He knew he should just slip out quietly without drawing too much attention to himself, but there was one other person he wanted to say goodbye to...even though she was now officially engaged to his brother. Or a take on why Finral apologizes to Lady Finesse for “making her wait again.” Rated G

Treasures -- When Finesse falls ill, Finral wants to send her a gift to show her that he's thinking of her and wishing her well. Of course, this is easier said than done... Rated G

A Night at the Opera -- Though Finesse has longed dreamed of going to the opera, Langris' invitation to accompany him there catches her entirely off guard. I can't be the only one that finds Nachts little devils super adorable! especially the two with a cat and dog mask/faces, their little imp forms are just too cute! with that in mind how do you think Nacht would react to black bulls member reader-not yet s/o first reaction to seeing his devils is cooing over their smallness and pinchable faces? headcanons perfectly fine please and thank you!

Hello~! I was in the mood for some ... situational comedy with the very adorable little devils. So thank you for the patience, and i hope you like this! ^^

Pairing: Nacht x gn!reader (mostly Nacht's pov) Genre: Situational comedy/general Length: ~0.7k Contains: Nacht being Nacht, annoyed by his devils, reader coos at the devils Casually tagging: @loosesodamarble

Nacht has come to accept the presence of his devils around himself. He had made a pact with them, and they were now bound to him. Which is also why they were constantly by his side. Much to his annoyance.

Or he should say that it had been an annoyance.

Now he was used to them.

He had grown more or less used to the idea that there was always someone watching over his shoulder. Watching what he did. Where he went. At what time. And who did he go with. Nothing was sacred.

Not that the devils judged. They were devils, after all. The line between right and wrong, didn’t seem to matter much.

Unless it came to his sleeping habits or diet, it seemed.

The buggers were more than eager to remind him to drink something else than coffee. To eat something. Try to sleep.

As if his sleep would be restful.

‘It’s the caffeine!’ they’d tell him.

Which would spark that all too familiar feeling of annoyance.

Never did he think that he’d be getting lectured by some devils. They might’ve been his devils, but it wasn’t supposed to affect how they were. Come to think of it, maybe that was it. They were annoying him, precisely because they were devils. They might not have been able to do anything to him, but they could get their fun by annoying him. Not because they cared.

That had to be it.

That’s what people would think. Anyways.

Even the mere mention of devils made most people cower in fear.

And with good reason.

He had learned, the hard way, that devils weren’t something to be toyed with. Something like magical beasts. Lurking in the woods with a sense of danger, but still very possible to overpower.

Devils were the real deal.

...

Where were they anyhow?

Nacht looked around. And it was... eerily quiet.

Too quiet.

No one to blabber into his ear or climbing onto his shoulder...And it was odd. Very. Odd.

“But you’re so cute~!”

What in the devil- he walked around the corner to see you, pinching the cheeks of Gimodelo.

“Oh what an absolutely adorable little handsome devil you are,” you cooed before turning your attention to Plumede. “And so are you!”

The devils didn’t seem... too bothered by the affection or the compliments. They only wiggled away if you pinched them too hard for their liking. Who would’ve thought? That they might enjoy being... shown affection? Attention? Called handsome, of all things?

And Nacht... that poor devil could just stare.

His eyes were widened, and he just... stared.

Because... what-, how does one even begin to think that a fellow squad member, yeah sure a Black Bull, but still! Would be pinching the cheeks of devils and call them cute.

Did you know what they were?

Think they were just some strange house pets?

That seemed like the likeliest option.

“You do know that they’re devils, right?” He asked. He had to ask. Maybe see the flinch of terror that people sometimes had when one would mention something about the demonic.

Your head turned to look at him with a smile, like he would have asked a trivial question. Like what colour was the sky.

“Yeah, I know,” you replied with a casual tone that was so soft. Especially considering the topic. And just... turned your attention back to the quartet and continued from where you left off.

While Nacht... He wasn’t exactly sure what to make of it.

Maybe he should have called you daft. Or insane. That you didn’t know what was good for you or... or then... it was something that he wasn’t-, sure how to call yet.

Interesting was the closest that he could come up with; a good enough of a word to use in the circumstances. But... maybe that would be... suitable. For now.

Waves. The smell of fresh sea air as the gentle motion of the ocean just swaying, as if brushing the shore, stood ahead of you. And it was all couple with the sound the water made in its motion. As if a quiet song most couldn’t understand.

At times you wondered if you did either. Perhaps your mother might have. Your father did. You were sure that he did. It was his home, after all. And you... you weren’t quite sure which one you were more, land or sea. Or maybe you were a shore. Something that existed in between. Which was why you were able to spend longer times in the Capitol, land in general, away from bodies of water.

But it didn’t make you appreciate the trips, and the time your husband took off his busy schedule, to bring you here in Raque. To just... admire the waves. And listen to the songs it told.

There was a hand on your shoulder, which made you turn your head to the side, before feeling a sturdy chest pressed against your back.

“Go ahead,” there was a soft encouragement, as if a praise, spoken as a whisper. “I know you want to,” he told you with the slightest hints of amusement before placing a kiss to your temple.

You glanced at him, your lips tugged up into a grin, and saw him with a gentle smile on his face. The very same understanding, loving smile that you had fallen for way back when. The very same smile that still lingered as you ran to the ocean, as your legs were replaced with a tail, and the taste of air was changed to the taste of sea water as gills took charge.

You knew he was watching, silently, while wearing that smile.

But what you didn’t realize, was him watching your scales glimmer in the light of the sun. The ethereal beauty of them just glistening amidst the waves that would bend to your will.

Sure, someone might have wondered why, or how, a fire made with a heart that was as passionate as a roaring flame, would have fallen in love with someone that held water magic, was calm and gentle as a pond.

Only that the idea of you being “like a pond” was very much not true. And whenever someone implied of such a thing, he found it to be nothing but amusing misguidedness. Because, sure, you held the serenity of a calm lake, or the sea on a day that the winds chose not to sway the surface of it. But... beneath the ocean surface the tides would always sway, there would be the roar of the ocean, the strength and the power those who travelled the seas would know to respect.

He didn’t think that he had been mindful enough of the fact, just how deep the oceans could be before.

But now he was.

And he knew that you could handle yourself. That you could stand your ground, if need be.

If need be. He just didn’t want there to be such. Which was why he worried.

He worried even if he watched you play in the water as the sun glided from your scales.

Perhaps one might have stated that he was very much like that himself, someone who seemed calm and collected on the surface, but was strong and held fury in his heart. That both of you held depths within yourselves.

Maybe you were both aware of it on some level, and maybe that was the very thing that had drawn you too together. Not the superficial differences, but the deep, strong similarities. How your hearts sang together.

He might tease you for being his siren, and you’d groan because you weren’t a siren, but coming from him, it was different. He meant it with all the love in the world. And he was your hot-headed fireball. Though he very much prided himself in being able to stay calm.

The loving teasing that you both did. Because you understood each other.
