Of the 19 hijackers who carried out the Sept 11 attacks:
15 were from Saudi Arabia (a powerful/oil-rich country the U.S. works hard to maintain diplomatic relations with)
2 were from the United Arab Emirates (also a powerful/oil-rich country the U.S. works hard to maintain diplomatic relations with)
1 was from Egypt, 1 from Lebanon.
None of the hijackers were from Iraq.
None of the Sept 11 hijackers were Iraqi.
None of the 9/11 hijackers were from Iraq.

hey hypothetically speaking do you think if we all signed a big enough petition we could persuade staff to remove nazztyjocks' blaze privileges? because apparently blocking someone only hides their own posts and doesn't prevent them from continuing to flood everyone's timelines with hockey player yaoi posts that they blaze from other blogs

my favorite icebreaker question i like to ask people ive known for a bit is "what is a mammal you think you can fight against and win?" cause it can tell you a lot about a person whether they know what animals are mammals or if they know any exotic animals or how capable they are in a fight i like this question too cause i can sprinkle in any animal knowledge i have since i was the animal kid growing up most people choose farm animals probably because those animals are the type of animals one initially thinks of when you say a mammal that isn't particularly dangerous so i get surprised if i hear anything that is either a predator or an animal that isn't a farm animal
my FAVORITE part is seeing their reaction when i say i think i can win against a moose

Friday April 21.
Yes, That Is Right—Blaze Other People's Posts.
Oh, what's this here box? Pandora? Who the heck's Pandora? Ahh, I'm sure she won't mind
...
Ah. Ok. It is now we understand, Pandora. Sorry about that. After taking a look in this here chest of yours, just yesterday, Thursday the 20th of April, it turns out that this was not perhaps the wisest move. Inside its splintering oak, we found instructions for Blazing other people's posts, and it appears we got a little carried away. We removed this guide from the ol' trunk and let it free to the good people of Tumblr and, well. It's all beginning to get a bit Hunger Games in here, and we suspect we only have ourselves to blame. But what's done is done as far as #tumblr blaze is concerned, so it is on us to make the best of it.
* vintage cartoon anxious gulp *
And with great power comes great responsibility. This is something that Tumblr understands profoundly, and we can rest certain that users will wield this newfound ability with that sagest, most timeless advice in mind. So if, for example, they were lout browsing in the marshes of the dashboard and were to stumble upon an image of a pug with the smiling mouth of a human, we could trust them to do what they know to be right—and stay away, for everyone's sakes.
This is it people x

IMPORTANT PSA FOR TUMBLR USERS
If you see a post that recommends something that you just plain can't do, be it for lack of money, lack of access, or often even disability:
Did you know?
That's right! You're not the target audience! You can just scroll on by! The OP won't be offended that every single man, woman, nonbinary adult, and child isn't immediately running out to follow their universal edict and you and others with your restriction alone are not! You don't need to reblog with a bitter retort about how you can't do that!
Shocking, right? That's okay, take your time.

the fucked part of this update is that i remember back in ye olden days when the dashboard layout was much more similar to the current look, except it had all the stuff on the right side bar (where the current dash layout has the reccommended blogs and the tumblr radar iirc) and we still had the top bar with the little icons, and the stuff on the sidebar wasnt NEARLY as cluttered as it is now. and i remember when they got rid of it in favor of the top bar with little drop down menus and everyone fucking LOATHED IT, we were all clamoring for it to be rolled back. and they somehow managed to finally put the blog info back into a sidebar like we wanted all those years ago and they somehow fucked it up so bad that we all hate it and want the old layout back . what a website
