it’s safe to say how asmodeus feels about you– he has never felt before in the hundreds of thousands of years he’s lived. millions of eyes have gazed upon him in awe and astonishment, marvelling at his beauty. his champagne-coloured hair, his gem-like eyes that enchant the very soul of every being around him, the soft lips that enticed even before he became a demon, he was the very epitome of beauty. he created it. it didn’t exist before he did.

but you… you never fell for his outwardly charms no many how much he tried. one look into his eyes and you should’ve been captivated for all of eternity, doomed to never love and lust as much as you did with him. you shouldn't have been able to think of anything but him until he permitted it. but no matter how much he denied, the mere existence of you proved to him that there was someone who wasn’t utterly enchanted. 

and so he was set on making you fall in love with him just as everyone should be. if you couldn’t be under his spell by a mere glance, then he would show just how beautiful he was.

and it worked. you loved him just as he planned, the only problem was he fell for you too.

though maybe he shouldn’t call it a problem. these feelings– this overwhelming pressure in his chest when he saw you with anyone that wasn’t his brothers, the flutter of his heart when you kiss, the daydreams, the nightmares, maybe they weren’t so bad if he got to see you every morning. if he got to paint your nails and dress in matching outfits and kiss under the starlight and the everlasting moon of the devildom.

it feels nice, really. he dismissed the mere idea of loving you back at first. all he wanted was to make you love him, but as much as he rejects and rebutted– the soft look in his eyes when you hold his hand is enough to tell him that he truly fell for a human. with a lifespan too short and beauty that would never compare to that of demons and angels. 

and sometimes that love can get a little extreme.

“would you kill for me?” you asked one night.

would he kill for you? it’s silly to even utter the thought because of course he would. he’d claw out the hearts of every enemy you have while they were still alive and present them to you as proof, he’d tear out their nails and gouge their eyes out, he’d pile their bodies high and watch the river of blood fill the room– he’d tear out his own heart and prove that it beats only for you.

“hmm… do i have to? the blood will get all over my clothes,” he pouts.

you only giggle, reaching your hand out and softly stroking his cheek. he can imagine it now, the mass of bodies around both of you, the moonlight shining down gentle silver and you wiping away the blood on his face with a proud smile at what he did for you. it’d be a scene straight out of a romance. 

because as much as he’d complain, he would do it for you in a heartbeat– if only to see you look at him the same way he looks at you.

Deep down, I partially disagree with how a lot of fans portray Merlin and Arthur pining after each other.

Merlin and Arthur realise their feelings for each other completely differently.

For Merlin, it is a fearful, lonely, devastating and earth shattering realisation that consumes his mind and leaves him clinging to the wall he's fallen against. He can feel it with every breath he takes, the heavy weight that fills his chest. How every action he takes is for him.

And as the days and weeks and months progress after realising so, his love becomes a part of him, so entwined with his being he wouldn't know who he was if he didn't love Arthur.

That's how no one discovers the truth, they see a loyal and devoted friend. No one even thinks to consider that Merlin might feel this way, because to them Merlin has always acted the same. And that act, is out of love and devotion everyone takes as loyalty and belief. There is no difference.

Sadly, his love for Arthur joins the silent secret of his magic being skillfully hidden in plain sight. Just like his magic, he eases his feelings alone. He lovingly gazes at Arthur in the early morning before he has to wake the man up, when it's just the two of them. He voices his feelings under a whispered breath whilst collecting herbs in the silent forest. He explores just how far his feelings go when he prevents assassins and evil conspiracies.

He realises, alone, that with every breath he takes, it will be to serve Arthur. Since he loves Arthur because of who he is. And who he is is because he loves Arthur.

And he will die with that secret, blooming in his chest, unspoken on his lips, unheard of even in death.

For Arthur, it is as sudden as a shooting comet. He knows that the way he feels towards Merlin is different than to how he feels with others.

And when he finally voices his feelings to his friends, they help him understand that what he feels isn't deep friendship, but instead pure and innocent love. Unlike a shooting comet, his feelings stay and burn stronger with the understanding of his feelings. He grows as a person more and more as he understand his relationships with people. Relationships that, as a young boy, he never was taught to understand: friends aren't meant to use you as means to improve their status and family is not blood that holds impossible expectations.

Finally after far too many years of thinking that the bards were crazy with their sonnets of love he can finally understand how the lovers feel.

Arthur takes his feelings for Merlin in stride with eagerness he hasn't felt in years. He embraces it with open arms. It's only a matter of time before he figures out a way or a thing or a set of words that he can give to Merlin to make him too understand the love he feels.

Danny developing any chronic condition that leads to periods of joint stiffness (and other things, but the major part is stiffness) has a ton of angst potential in regards to his status as one of the living.

Imagine being something in between life and death and then your joints get all stiff for the first time. I'd imagine someone in that situation who is unsure of their humanity *might* just jump to thinking it was rigor mortis starting to kick in.......
