hi so i went ham with a new AU

Extra info below:

- Blue is MARGINALLY older by a few minutes. The twins dangle this above his head constantly and both get their asses kicked at the same time.

- Both twins are judges. Toriel had a blast with that one.

- Poor fluffy bottoms... Asgore was so confused when he met both of them. They each made him think he was talking to only one person named Pyruse through the door.

- There has only been ONE successful genocide run. Chara and Frisk had a helluva time. Never again. Both twins remember this (and secretly, so does Blue).

- Sometimes Chara calls both of them Pa-pyruse. Like a dad figure. Frisk calls both of them idiots and other profanities that they could get away with.

- Temmie still hates everything.

- Muffet can tell the difference between the two of them pretty easily so she keeps different tabs on each one. Both have yet to pay her back in gold, though favors like bringing in more customers and getting her resources keep her happy.

- Ghost!Mettaton met Pyr on the internet and became friends over the internet. Ruse met him through Pyr talking about a ghost on the internet. He’s a lot happier and a lot less lonely after Napstaton/blook met Alphys.

- Both brothers are chill with Napstaton. They like his music, sometimes humming it while Blue is running the robot’s songs in the background.

- Alphys complains to Blue how she wants to spar with the twins. They keep saying no :(

- There’s twice as many explosions in Undyne’s lab, and a sudden increase in robots walking around Hotland. No one’s really complaining, as the robots pretty much take over the guards’ patrol.

- Grillby has a secret ketchup stash for Blue when he shows up because of his brothers’ antics.

Undertale Headcanons!!

Shout out to @magical-batt for letting me go wild in our DMs so I could come up with all of these, ily bestie 🫂💙💙💙

Let me start off with my fave, of course!

Napstablook:

• Listens to everything, and I mean everything. Their playlist is incredibly random so they usually skip a bunch of songs until the right one pops up. They usually prefer music with mostly instrumental sections or calming melodies, it helps them feel less tense when they're by themselves

• Maladaptive daydreamer. When they need a break from their thoughts, they put on their headphones, choose a couple songs they like and let their mind go wherever it wants. It usually helps them revisit memories with a different view, as well as think of new music and life scenarios. It does, however, take up most of their days and usually ends up making them isolated from everyone else

• They don't necessarily need anything revolving around physical health, but it makes them feel more alive, so they actively choose to do it. Eating, drinking, sleeping, getting out of the house from time to time, and even allowing themselves to touch things and be touched by other people/monsters, they can feel and experience everything just fine

• Being raised by and around their cousins, they always believe that they're as loud as the other Blooks which, in turn, makes their voice extra quiet whenever they speak. They also space out their words so that they don't speak too fast, to make it easier for others to understand what they say

• Time and time again they try to find an empty spot to relax in, but they either get interrupted or someone's already at their usual spot. They like to stay in places where they can connect with their physical self a bit more, places with a lot of textures or different temperatures, it gets them out of their comfort zone by edging them into reality

• Their UnderNet profile has been flagged as a bot account by the moderators, because they haven't chosen a profile picture, banner or made any posts since their introduction to the site. It causes the application to automatically reject their friend requests towards other users, they are unaware of this and just believe that people are rejecting their requests on purpose

Toriel:

• Can concentrate better while eating snacks! She'd come up with responses to citizens' letters while eating some snails

• Always has some leftover flour on her clothes and fur, some monsters are intimidated by that because they assume it's dust

• Prefers to come up with bedtime stories instead of reading them! That way Chara and Asriel could relate to the characters on a personal level

• Greatly dislikes any type of shoes and socks, due to sensory issues

• Keeps her nails/claws trimmed and rounded so that she won't accidentally hurt anyone

Asgore:

• Has very sensitive horns so he has to wear a small crown, that won't accidentally touch or brush against them

• Pockets are always full of junk. Flower petals, candies (and wrappers), toy rings, bandaids, you name it!

• Needs glasses to read but absolutely refuses to wear them. Usually asks Undyne to help him read citizen letters because of it, she's not very good at it...

• Avoids being in the throne room unless necessary, he feels lonely in there. The echo whenever he hums or talks while in there makes him feel a deep sadness

• Nightmares. So many nightmares. It's what made him learn how to make tea in the first place, to help him out with anxiety and insomnia. He knows what he's done and he's never forgiven himself for it

Asriel:

• Gently headbutts people when he's upset as a way to say "stop that" or "can we go somewhere else" instead of using his words. He got the habit while he was very young and never really grew out of it

• Indecisive to the extreme, he loves a lot of things in a very intense way, it's impossible to make him pick a single one. Favorite color? He'll name as many as he can. Trying to order food? Hops through most of the menu...

• Struggles to grow fur below the neck, so he's always cold. Toriel has knit him many sweaters because of it, but he usually wears whichever ones match with Frisk or Chara

• Prefers to play pretend instead of using toys, he's imaginative and creative and way too scared to break expensive things that were gifted to him

• His ears are his comfort. If he's scared of something, he'll use them to cover his eyes. If he's upset, he'll pet and stroke them to sooth himself. If he's nervous he'll tug on them and have to physically make himself stop before it starts to hurt

Chara:

• Biter. They bite anything, anyone and everything they can, including themselves! They can't grow their nails or cuticles because of it, which makes their fingers be constantly wrapped in bandages. Their toys and pens' only difference to Asriel's are the bite marks and chewed up plastic

• Had a large human family and was pretty much neglected because most of their siblings were young and needed their parents' full attention. Plays a bit rough with Asriel but never actually means to hurt him and feels horrible if it happens

• Insanely curious and adventurous, if it were up to them they'd have check under every rock, over each of the cave's walls and all over the Underground for anything new to see and learn about.

• Picky eater and hypermobile! They had a hard time getting used to monster food and would usually request meals that Toriel hadn't even heard about. Allergic to cinnamon and would end up sneezing for hours because of it. Loves to show Asriel cool tricks by bending their body in ways that most people can't, he'd either find it super cool or super scary

• Was mentally ill at a young age. They were overly suspicious of the Dremurrs for a long time, made up the name Chara when Asriel introduced himself, but got attached to it as they felt more at home within the Underground. They've dealt with depression for as long as they could remember and didn't feel like they deserved their new home

Flowey:

(yes he's Asriel but he wasn't acting like himself)

• Incredibly uncomfortable with his own body and how limited it feels most of the time, still maintaining some of his own characteristics, he's always cold and can't soothe himself with his fluffy ears

• He was potted and brought home by Toriel one time. He was very snappy and ended up hurting Toriel during an argument, he ran away and Toriel hasn't tried to bring him back ever since. He has never forgiven himself for making his mom cry

• Visits Waterfall quite often, specifically because of the echo flowers, in the hopes that one of his previous conversations with Chara or his parents will still be there, somehow. He met Papyrus there and he genuinely saw him as a friend, but his bitterness and guilt drove them apart

• Oscillates between extreme guilt and pure resentment very quickly. It's hard for him to tell where his blame begins and ends, which makes him mad at everyone AND himself a lot of the time. He doesn't need sunlight to feed himself but it's the most isolated part of the Underground, so he always stays at the entrance of the mountain

• He has a hard time entertaining himself or falling asleep, so he usually stalks random monsters to distract himself. He's read through all the journals at the Book Acres, heard every gossip there is and spent hours on end watching the Ice Wolf at Snowdin

Napstabot:

• They didn't really understand the appeal of a body until they actively began craving someone's touch. They were very nervous to ask Alphys and Mettaton for help, out of fear of judgement, but the two were absolutely ecstatic about it

• They made a folder with reference images of what they'd like their robot body to look like and Alphys checked in with them with each design decision until everything was perfect for them, they were very happy about how the final product turned out

• It took them a while to learn how to walk and how to adjust their voice speakers, but but other than that they were incredibly comfortable with their body, even if they were a bit more conscious about being perceived by others because of it

• Mettaton took them shopping for clothes and shoes to match their new style and they found out that they're a huge fan of hoodies and sneakers. If they're feeling fancy they'll wear pants and shirts as well! Jeans are more stylish but they prefer black sweatpants

• Out of all physical experiences they've had, their favorites so far have been: cheek rubs, hair playing, hand holding, kisses and hugging. When they feel too tired to be physical, they'll have their ghost form exit the robotic shell and just relax while it's on charge

Mettaton:

• Having a physical form makes him euphoric in of itself, so he doesn't care about wearing dresses, skirts, or anything that may be considered "feminine" or "girly" by others. He's comfort in his own skin AND he looks good in all the outfits he wears and he absolutely knows it

• Loud and proud about his transition and identity, he wants anyone else in the Underground who may feel the way he felt to know there's hope and time! He gifted one of his fans the dress he wore during a play because he resonated with her but didn't want to tell her she was a trans woman bluntly

• Writes all his own movies and songs but usually has Alphys direct things if other actors are involved, both because he trusts her and because he doesn't want to lose his temper and mess up the MTT brand name. He always includes an inside joke in his movies, for his family and for his friends who are keeping an eye on the screen!

• Loves his EX body the most but usually sticks with box mode when he needs more heavy duty presentations or work, he knows Alphys wouldn't mind (or charge him for) fixing him up, but he doesn't like taking up too much of her time, especially considering that they're quite close and hang out quite a bit as it is

• During the design process for his EX design, him and Alphys binged A LOT of animes and basically scrapped up a bunch of characteristics he liked about multiple of the characters to build him the perfect appearance. He cried for a long time when he first got into his EX body, he finally felt and looked like himself, just like he had always dreamed of

Mad Mew Mew:

• Short temper and extremely protective of her family and friends, but when thanked for looking out for them she'll act pouty and scoff, pretending to not know what they're talking about. She cares, but raging is her main priority

• LOVES everything pink, shiny, frilly and doll-like, it brings her euphoria and comfort. Battling also gives her euphoria, being able to experience touch, hits and even slashes in her own skin reminds her of her physical existence in a fairly positive (and dangerous) light

• Has a bunch of chew necklaces for when she feels pent up but doesn't actually want to fight or hurt anyone, most of them match with her outfits and are super sturdy to the touch! She has also trained herself out of cursing via echolalia, using "mew~" instead!

• Can and will hide weapons within the layers of her skirt, not in a way to be sexual, but as a way to be tactical and to surprise her opponents. She has also stocked up on knives since her encounter with Frisk, just in case

• Loves spending time with her cousins but acts like a tsundere when they're near. They absolutely know it's all an act and enjoy her company regardless of her sassy attitude. She gives hugs strong enough to crack ribs and bend metal, which usually worry Mettaton a bit...

Sans:

• Very in tune with his magical abilities, in and out of combat. He's mastered teleportation and time manipulation, which makes him extremely intimidating to those aware of his capabilities, which is why he's only demonstrated it to Frisk. They may be his friend, but the fact that they're a human will always be his priority

• Him and Papyrus are twins, and Sans is older by just a few minutes. When he feels like making Papyrus slightly grumpy he playfully calls him "little bro" but he'd never do it to actually upset him. He doesn't remember much from before moving into Snowdin, nor does he care to reconnect with his past

• Even though he's not religious, he feels a special and divine connection with dogs, for some reason. He also doesn't mind how fluffy and warm they are, so he always welcomes them to his home and work stations, much to Papyrus' demise

• He has a lot of junk in his room, usually he mixes a bunch of it up for some random inventions, or to make some harmless prank material by himself, since he's not found a lot of stores who still do tabs, knowing his infamous habits of never paying said tabs...

• Magically strong, physically weak. Sans rarely has the energy to take proper care of himself, let alone do chores or keep up with Papyrus' energy. Life in the Underground is comfortable enough for him and he's not desperate for a change in scenery or for a new flame of hope, he's happy to sit back and settle with what he's got

Papyrus:

• Can't sit still for the life of him. He always needs to fidget with something, especially his clothes, he needs to make sure he looks presentable so crinkles and smudges are a no-go! If he's just sitting down, hell usually be tapping his feet or bouncing one of his legs, he doesn't notice himself doing it

• His scarf was originally a cape that he had made for his costume, but he kept on tripping over it and getting it caught on things while trying to set up his puzzles so he decided to just cut out a chunk of it. He uses said chunk as a dish rag now

• He's read every book in Snowdin's library and knows a lot about humans (from a monster's perspective) and he genuinely believes that there are no bad humans, just bad capturers. Also finds humans incredibly cute, like one would a pet

• It's incredibly hard to get him to be genuinely upset, but a nice way to do it would be to hurt Sans. He has no idea about his brother's capabilities so he assumes he's weak and lazy, so depending on what someone did to his brother they'd either get a scolding, or some terrifying attacks that no one knew he could conjure

• He likes to do multiple things at the same time, so he'll usually be working on crosswords, word finders and so on while MTT TV is on. Sometimes the storyline gets interesting enough for him to drop whatever else he's doing and focus on the show instead, he's especially fond of soap operas and quizzes!

Undyne:

• Loves doing tricks with her spears! She can spin them, juggle them and balance them on her tongue! She's gotten hit in the face with them quite a few times, while practicing said tricks, the only monster who knows about it is the dummy in front of her house, but they don't judge her

• Her job essentially forced her to lose her sleep schedule entirely. She always has to be prepared in case the king calls her into duty, especially if it's about the appearance of a human. Because of that she is a very light sleeper and usually wakes up with a nasty temper

• She's always looking for ways to increase her resistance and even tried to train in the Hotlands a couple of times, but she never made it past the bridge until her chase with Frisk. She has gotten herself sick multiple times by training with Papyrus at Snowdin without wearing armor, for resilience's sake

• She's lost her parents to one of the previous humans who came to the Underground, because of that she sees Asgore as a father figure! They've both spent countless nights talking to one another and learning about thselves while on look-out. He trained her into a powerful warrior and loved her into the (fish)woman she is

• She loves anime, especially the ones that have to do with magical girls! She enjoys shonen but doesn't understand why most of it centers around guys and makes girls out to be weak or cowardly, so magical girls have a soft spot in her heart. She knows it would be terribly impractical but she'd really love to have a suit of armor that resembled the ones in Fisher Sun!

Alphys:

• She has lots of comfort foods stocked away at her home and laboratory, all of which are fairly quick easy to make! She can cook full and proper meals, but she doesn't usually have enough time for it because of her job. She misses baking and cooking for herself and potential friends/guests

• She has given up most of her hobbies for her work life and only got into anime after becomg the royal scientist! It's a hobbie that works with her profession and that allows her mind to wander off to better places when she has to deal with questionable procedures...

• She feels awful about the amalgamations, even if the experimentations were consented to. She feels too much guilt to be able to contact their families about what happened, leaving their letters unopened. Sometimes she spends the night at the lab to keep them company, finding herself comfortably tucked into one of the medical beds when she wakes up in the morning

• Her tail is semi-prehensible and she sometimes uses it to stop herself from knocking something over while turning too quickly. The spikes on it can poke out further if she feels threatened or angry. It also expresses her emotions, wagging if she's happy, excited or enamored!!

• Mettaton has given her a few tips on how to gain some confidence and helped her choose outfits and glasses that value her body and face shape properly, it makes her feel pretty but she still struggles with her self esteem and confidence a lot of the time

Muffet:

• A wonderful boss, all of her spiderling employees are very well paid and have many benefits to working under her wing! It also explains why her baked goods are so expensive, considering the amount of workers she's taking care of

• Her pet was a result of one of Alphys' experimentations, it escaped the laboratory when it was still very small and ended up growing exponentially as it was fed and taken care of by Muffet. It's a grumpy creature to anyone who isn't an arachnid, constantly pampered and spoiled rotten by it's owner

• All of her merchandise is home made, which means that some of her first few batches were highly poisonous and dangerous to ingest. It took her a few tries to get the recipes just right, bringing immediate relief and delight to her customers and venomous employees

• She really cares about her appearance and can take hours on end to style her hair and paint her claws, especially considering the extra pairs of arms! She doesn't enjoy lipstick, mainly because it doesn't frame her lips properly, because of her fangs and overbite

• The rest of her family consists of Mafia members, which she's completely clueless about! She genuinely believes that their shops, storages and laundromats are legitimate companies and aspires to make her bakery as profitable as their "establishments"

Dummy:

appears as the tutorial dummy in the Ruins - Asgore encourages Chara to talk to them, but no matter what action the human takes, the Dummy will take offence and leave the room after snapping at them. Asgore then takes the opportunity to tell Chara that even if a monster is rude, showing mercy is still important.

Bored Dummy:

appears as a boss in Waterfall - Mad Dummy told them to get revenge for how they were treated by Chara, but Bored Dummy doesn't really care about fighting and only does so to make their cousin happy.

at the end of their battle with Chara, Happstablook notices the commotion and makes a dramatic entrance with a glitter bomb, inadvertently spooking his cousin out of their body.

Mad Dummy:

offscreen, Alphys asks if they'll model a Mew Mew Kissy Cutie cosplay she'd been working on, as she can't find her usual training dummy to ask. after agreeing and trying on the outfit, Mad Dummy has a Mad Mew Mew-esque identity revelation, and continues wearing the cosplay for the rest of the "game".

if Chara speaks to her in the overworld, she mentions she's considering renaming herself Maddy.

???:

briefly reappears as Bored Dummy again with Maddy after Alphys' hangout event, but soon afterward decides to leave that body behind for good.

after the barrier is broken, Chara can find the uninhabited dummy body in Waterfall, and a barely-visible ghost floating near the snails at Blook Acres.

Maddy the Dummy:

loving life as an adorable mannequin model and one of Napstabot's singers. she frequently changes her look with different wigs and clothes, and has a preference for pinks and pastels, frills, and occasional edgier styles.

still very much the loud, energetic and quick-to-anger type, easily switching from cutesy charm to yelling at someone annoying, and retains her habit of repeating words/phrases three times.

doesn't become Mew Mew like her UT counterpart, but she does have a big soft spot for the Mew Mew Kissy Cutie series, though she prefers Mew Mew 2. she and Alphys have had multiple Undernet arguments about this.

has both friends and knives now!!

Pom Pom:

still lacking a body on the surface, Chara offered to knit them a custom body of their own. they liked the idea of being an animal-like monster, as well as an apple theme based on their favourite saying (that being their UT counterpart's check description). once the body was complete, they soon became corporeal and took on the new name Pom Pom.

they're shy, quiet, easily startled, and especially prone to boredom. they have little tolerance for aimless shenanigans, and will either leave a situation they dislike or just ragdoll on the floor and sleep. they stand like they're about to fall over at all times.

their new body kept some familiar features from their previous, including a cotton heart and button eyes. the heart functions similarly to Napstabot's heart-shaped core.

ghost ages are pretty vague, but they're an adult and the youngest of the ghost cousins.

I've talked about Maddy a couple times in the past, but to reiterate: like Happstablook I want to handle her character with as much respect towards her UT counterpart's story as I can, given that her role swap predates Mad Mew Mew's reveal. had I not designed and gotten attached to my Napstabot in early 2018, just months before UT's Switch port, maybe I would've swapped Mettaton and Mew Mew instead, but it is what it is. think of her as Mew Mew and Glad Dummy combined 💖

as for Pom Pom, with how little canon info there is on Ruins Dummy I just went all-in on what few details I had to work with. admittedly the apple theme is a total stretch from the "apple of my eye" part of their check description, but I liked it too much to not go with it! and them being an animal-like humanoid is to match Mew Mew being a catgirl, so I thought a deer suited their personality.

also, the reason their body was knitted by Chara specifically is I love the headcanon that ghosts can hear the narrator (based on Napstablook responding to their own check description), so after applying it to Swap MH I thought it'd be cute if Chara and Frisk have a close bond with the ghost family post-pacifist :'>

anyway I'm aware that they're pretty much just an OC-ified version of a canon character at this point, but like. people have been doing that with the humans, Gaster, Dess and AU Sanses for years. I am allowed one (1) Basically A Fan Character version of an existing character, as a treat

Westerntale is my Cowboy/Old West inspired Undertale AU. This started as a joke, now im here!! The main blog would be set, timeline wise, while Runt/Frisk is still ‘Underground’ (…except there isn’t an underground in this au, it’s just the desert), but I may also occasionally doodle some genocide or post pacifist stuff. I dunno!!

I dont mind most asks but if you get into proshippy territory you will be blocked. Otherwise, go wild.

Current Characters ::

The first human and the latest. Not much to say. Runt and the surface outside are actually in the modern era- Runt just really likes cowboys.

Toriel is currently: OPEN for asks!

the sweet southern mother in the far west of the desert. They say she makes a mean chicken pot pie.

Tumbleweed and Horseshoe are currently: OPEN for asks!

The strongest monster around. The sharpshooter sheriff hides in the deserts oasis, bringing an end to those her deputies cannot.

Dont take her at face value. She’ll hide down in our caverns and mines, but when she has to, she’ll do anything in her power to hold the wicked back.

Y'all know how Sunsetter is, like... my Underswap take of sorts? Well, I've recently been working on ideas for an Underfell take of sorts as well, with my own little twists.

Well, it's... kinda an Underfell take. Just a bit different in... a lot of ways.

I made up the name as I'm typing this, because I didn't have a name beforehand.

RED HAZE: Tale Of The Fallen

(or just "Red Haze")

This take has a lot of differences from the usual interpretation, including changing appearances... more than just details and clothing.

(Do note that the main cast would have different names from their Undertale counterparts. But since I can't think of any ideas for now, and also to prevent confusion, I'm just using the original names.)

Unlike in Undertale, there is no barrier keeping monsterkind from going to the surface. Hell, there isn't a mountain at all. Instead, monsterkind resides in a magically imbued forest, with only one way to leave, while entering gets one endlessly lost.

Asgore simply is biding his time, getting the souls of seven humans, to become godlike, and to wipe out humanity. No monster tries to go after Asgore, or even question his methods. Some act this way out of fear of what he could do, others that are for him and for his plan, and then the few that don't care either way.

The "routes" are named somewhat differently from what people usually call Undertale's

Path of Solace - ("Pacifist" Route) Path of Choices - ("Neutral" Routes) Path of Exploit - ("Genocide" Route)

- this take's replacement for being "filled with determination"

AGONY is a haze that leaks from broken souls, with more of it depending how much negative energy one has when they die. It mentally and physically affects those who breathe it in. Naturally, it opposes the power of Determination, as that power does to it, destroying each other until one remains or there's nothing left. But, with enough focus, perhaps one could use both as one. Such a concept would be a focus of the Path of Exploit, specifically regarding both Undyne and Frisk.

Time for the cast!

Frisk and Chara

Admittedly, I didn't think much besides design-wise for these goobers. It's probably just that Frisk is more tired than usual and Chara was used as a sacrifice to the monsters in a failed attempt at a peace offering by humanity, actually got sick instead of it being planned, and yada-yada Asriel soul absorption and death. ...okay, maybe I thought a little for Chara. But not too much for Frisk.

The shirt patterns here are probably obviously Yumi Nikki inspired, despite the fact that I know nothing about the game itself besides some characters, lol.

The Dreemurrs (Toriel, Asgore, and Asriel)

Similar to canon Underfell, Toriel is what started this entire take concept to begin with. The idea stemmed from "what if the dreemurr family had biblically accurate angel imagery (eyes and wheels) instead of devil imagery (goats, fire, trident, y'know)?" And then I added "black sheep" into that, so that's what I ended up with.

Toriel is very fearful of humans, instead of a caretaker, running away and attacking when cornered. She uses what power she has to keep herself alone, not wanting to be emotionally tied and hurt again. (She's my favorite in the cast :3)

Asgore has been particularly affected by the AGONY of the many fallen children that died by his hand, becoming almost a tyrant, with only some of his original personality fading in and out.

Asriel is... actually not too different from canon Asriel, considering he died before everything really kicked off.

Flowey is a small mass/hivemind of bundled flowers, tied together like a "rat king". Each flower has only small snippets of past memories as Asriel, as well its own "personality", splitting Undertale Flowey’s personality into six pieces. They try to help Frisk get through the area, due to how unsafe it is. Whether they have their own goals remains to be seen.

The Blooks are shadow spirits instead of simple ghosts.

Napstablook is somewhat the same as in Undertale, other than the visual changes. Though, due to the circumstances, they’d have a bit more of an issue with their emotional state, bottling up their feelings, usually until such bursts when they can’t take it anymore.

Mettaton possesses many types of machinery, instead of just his singular body. In a way, this is due to the fact that he cannot decide on a single one.

The Ruins Dummy ghost is instead possessing a box and works as how items travel between boxes throughout the areas.

Maddie (aka "Mad Dummy" or "Mad Mew Mew" in Undertale, Maddie is sorta just a fandom nickname i think) basically acts like canon, but also a Mimic in a way, also possessing a box.

There would also be a secret boss fight against both Mettaton and Maddie, replacing Undertale's "Mad Mew Mew" one, with one where the two are trying to share the same body. The goal is to get the two to get along and work together… or just straight up destroy the body.

The Skelebros are instead lost spirits, seemingly of their original counterparts in some way...

Papyrus's goal is the same as his original, but instead in hopes of finally passing on, instead of joining a "Royal Guard". In reality, he knows he's never gonna pass on, but is in constant denial of such.

Sans, however, seems to have accepted and adapted to his “life”, and just wants to follow after his brother with whatever happens to him. He also likes dark humor, because of course he does.

The "Royal Guard" replacement is instead a cult that Undyne leads (and used to be led by Gerson), with a focus on a so-called prophecy, and using AGONY for what they see as a good thing. While they seem to be against King Asgore, it's more or less that they want him back to how he was before everything happened.

Undyne is a hooded guide throughout Waterfall (or whatever it'd be called in the take). She'd still be a fishlike monster, perhaps siren-like or anglerfish-like... or both. She protects the harmless from a gang of young monsters, led by Monster Kid.

Alphys is still the Royal Scientist, but also some form of background security in a way. She has an abundance of hidden cameras all throughout the Underground. She uses her vision across the areas for many reasons. Blackmail, catching traitors in the act, sometimes just... watching. Some monsters, especially many in the cult, have become evasive enough to miraculously avoid her gaze.

Her appearance is a bit more more based on that one beta design by Tuyoki.

Uber's Hard Mode Part 6

we open in a peculiarly laid out room of the RUINS. it's an open room for the most part, but two thin walls come down into the middle of the room, leaving only a smaller gap to travel through with a pile of leaves across the gap. FRISK and CHARA enter the room, noting the layout and spotting a lone figure blocking the pathway though the gap in the walls, a translucent figure with no arms and legs, to all appearances, a cartoon ghost. FRISK: "Well, here's Napstablook. should we just get this over with?" CHARA: "Probably, the save point is right behind us, we can afford to jump in." FRISK: they throw a glare at Chara "It's not exactly pleasant to die you know." CHARA: They go pale, and look away with a mixture of shame and painful recollection. FRISK: They wince "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have ask-" CHARA: "I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking abou-" Both of them stop talking and stare at each other, simultaneously giving forgiveness in complete silence. FRISK: "I'll just go to the ghost now." Frisk stands right in front of the spirit laying on the ground.

NAPSTABLOOK: "zzzzzzzzz... zzzzz.... (they're talking to themselves) zzzzzzz... zzzzz.... (are they gone yet) zzzz.... CHARA: "This ghost keeps saying 'z' out loud repeatedly, pretending to sleep... ... move it with force?" FRISK: They do what Chara suggested and try to shove the ghost out of the way, the moment they do that, Napstablook floats up and opens their eyes, the color drains away and a FIGHT begins. CHARA: *Here comes Napstablook. Same as usual. FRISK: They go into the ACT menu and see that the options are the same as normal, they tentatively select Check in order to gather more information, when they do this, Chara bursts out laughing. Frisk appears confused, until Chara speaks. CHARA: *Napstablook, AT 10 DF 10. Missed the memo and is the same difficulty as normal. FRISK: "Ok, that's funny."

NAPSTABLOOK: "oh, i'm REAL funny." FRISK: After speaking, the ghost begins to cry, and large tears start spraying around, Frisk dodges them easily because compared to the rest of what they've dealt with in the Ruins this time around, an attack like this is practically a breather. CHARA: *Napstablook is wishing they weren't here. FRISK: They've done this many times before, selecting ACT and then Cheer. CHARA: *You gave Napstablook a patient smile. NAPSTABLOOK: "heh..." after this, Napstablook starts crying again, but their tears don't act as an attack, instead, they bend and shift into a set of words, 'REALLY NOT FEELIN UP TO IT RIGHT NOW. SORRY.' CHARA: *Napstablook looks just a little bit better. FRISK: They repeat the same actions as before, choosing to Cheer on Napstablook. CHARA: *you told Napstablook a little joke.

FRISK: "Why did the ghost go into the elevator? ... ... ... To lift their spirits!" NAPSTABLOOK: "heh heh..." Yet another bout of crying, this time, the tears snake around the room erratically until they slide around the roof of the room and rain down on Frisk, this one is a lot trickier then the other attack, but Frisk still dodges it, just with significantly less ease then the last. CHARA: *Cheering seems to have improved Napstablook's mood again. FRISK: Second verse, same as the-wait, this is the third time. eh, either way, Frisk cheers once more. CHARA: *Napstablook wants to show you something. NAPSTABLOOK: "Let me try..." Chara's right, of course. Napstablook starts crying, but the tears flow upward and form into a shape, not letters this time, but rather a very fancy top hat. "I call it, "Dapper Blook." Do you like it...?" No attack comes after this. CHARA: *Napstablook eagerly awaits your response.

FRISK: They hover over the cheer option again, before swapping to flirt for kicks and giggles. "A gentleman like you could court me any day." Chara struggles to hold back laughter after that. NAPSTABLOOK: "oh no..." The colors return to the room as the fight ends. "i usually come out of the ruins because there's nobody around. ... ... ... oh, i'm rambling again. i'll get out of your way." And with that, Napstablook floats off. FRISK: "Well that was a nice breather." CHARA: "Yeah, I doubt that trend will continue though. let's go to the room behind us and save before continuing." FRISK: "Agreed." Frisk does as Chara suggested, and then ventures into the section beyond the Blooks battleground. the room is smaller and empty other then a single sign and two large spider webs. Frisk takes a look at the sign, noticing something extra on it this time around. CHARA: *Spider Bake Sale. all Proceeds go to Real Spiders. something's scratched into the bottom... note: spiders are very competitive. FRISK: "hmm... competitive? I guess we'll just have to see what that means." Frisk walks up to the smaller of the two webs and leans down.

CHARA: *Leave 14G in the webs? FRISK: "fourteen?" CHARA: *that's right. FRISK: They shrug and place the money in the web, some spiders crawl down and hand Frisk two donuts. Frisk nods, before a voice comes from the other web. SPIDERS: "hey hey HEY! you aren't just going to buy from them are you? come here. CHARA: *Some spiders... took 18G from you. FRISK: "wha-" A jug of cider is placed in their hand, before the other web speaks up now. SPIDERS: "hey, the donuts are much better, here, have a double order!" CHARA: *some spiders snatch 28G from you FRISK: Frisk gets four donuts afterward, but is quickly getting confused and angry. "now hang on just a secon-" SPIDERS: "what? no! the cider is better, here, have a double order from US!"

CHARA: *some spiders try to take 32G from you, but you don't have that much money. SPIDERS: "what? oh, you don't have anything left. in that case, we're closed! spiders pour out of the webs and swarm Frisk, the human closes their eyes as they're carried away, when they open their eyes again, they're back in the place that they battled Napstablook, and the doorway to the spider bake sale is barred by a giant web. FRISK: "what. the heck. was that. CHARA: "I don't know, but how about we don't go back there?" FRISK: "yeah, I agree with that. I don't think we could go back even if we wanted to. guess Muffet taught these spiders this time around." Frisk turns and, instead of returning to the bake sale, heads upward. the room is larger then the last two rooms combined, and very open. a sign is one one side of the room with a line of three Froggits next to it Frisk takes a quick look at the sign, finding it unchanged from normal, Chara still reads it out for the principle of it all. CHARA: *Did you miss it? Spider Bakesale down and to the right. Come eat food by spiders, for spiders, of spiders! FRISK: "Already did that..." While things seem to be normal, Frisk still leans down and sees what the Froggits have to say, just in case.

FROGGIT: "Ribbit." CHARA: "Oh hey, they're saying something new. ehem... 'to get out of this room, you need to find the fourth frog.' FRISK: "to get out of this room?" Frisk looks around the room and to their shock, the far exit is barred by spikes. "well that's not normal..." They then go to talk to the next Froggit. FROGGIT: "Ribbit. Ribbit." CHARA: "Ehem... 'be warned, they can be a bit skittish'" FRISK: and on to the last of the Froggits in the line FROGGIT: "Croak, Croak." CHARA: "That translates to... 'Ribbit Ribbit'" FRISK: "pfft." With that out of the way, Frisk recalls the comment about the fourth frog. from previous runs, Frisk already knows that an ant sized frog is hidden in a crack in the wall of the room, so they waltz up to the crack and peer in.

MICRO FROGGIT: Instead of just waving, the Froggit makes a fly underneath them with magic and soars off; bolting away from Frisk FRISK: "W-wait!" and the chase is on! Frisk frantically runs around, trying to catch the tiny frog riding the fly. CHARA: "Wooo! you can do it! yay!" FRISK: "What are you doing Chara?" CHARA: "Cheering you on." FRISK: "Can you not? it's distracting me." CHARA: "No, and good. I was trying to be annoying." FRISK: Frisk finally catches up to the frog, this only seems to trigger a fight though, as color vanishes from the area. CHARA: *Micro Froggit is within your grasp. FRISK: As is the norm for meeting a new monster, the first thing Frisk does is Check, the other two options happen to be Snatch and Complement CHARA: *Micro Froggit, AT 12 DF 3. though they be but little, they are fierce.

MICRO FROGGIT: "Ribbit." Flies start to appear and charge in from every which way, trapping Frisk in a fairly random bullet hell that actually scores a hit, dealing a lot of damage. CHARA: *Micro Froggit is Shimmying around FRISK: "Ow..."After taking a bit to shake off their injury, Frisk goes for the Snatch option. CHARA: *You prepare to snatch the Froggit... Right as Chara says this, the Micro Froggit creates five more flies that all line up around them, the flies then all start to swap places with each other over and over again until stopping, Frisk wasn't expecting this, and snatches a random fly, which doesn't seem to have the Micro Froggit on it. MICRO FROGGIT: The remaining five flies all circle Frisk and charge all at once three times in a row, before the fight ends, and Frisk is left having to chase the frog around the room again. FRISK: "Oh come on!" Another frantic lunge, and the fight starts again. CHARA: *Micro Froggit is within your grasp... again. FRISK: Not bothering to waste any more time, Frisk goes straight for the snatch option. CHARA: *You prepare to snatch the froggit... Once again, the Froggit makes more flies and starts to swap them all around, but this time, Frisk knows what's going on and follows the fly that they know has the Froggit on it. They reach out and snatch up the fly, the battle ends again, but this time, there's no more chasing. MICRO FROGGIT: "Ribbit" CHARA: "Ehem. 'Ok, you got me! I'll let you proceed if you just let me go! Frisk complies with this and the spikes on the far end of the room retract. FRISK: "at first it was funny, then it was scary, now it's just obnoxious." CHARA: "Hey, at least it's not boring." FRISK: "I'll give it that." And with that final quip, Frisk goes past the retracted spikes and into the room beyond.

So you know the early fanon version of undertale? Evil Chara, OP Sans, UWU Papyrus? Yeah, that's kind of what it is.

Basically, Sans (a genius scientist, ofc) and Frisk (a nineteen year old girl and his gf) decide to banish The Evil Chara (TEC) to another universe. They succeed, but TEC resets the timeline as they do it.

TEC ends up in the canon UT universe, where she (gender up to interpretation) is reduced to an angry narrator. Like that one "what do you want" "souls of the unliving" "a bagel" "nooo" meme. She is still convinced she's making you kill everyone, and even if you only kill a single Froggit she will remain convinced it's bc she's controlling you. At the end of the pacifst run, you get this dialogue:

Meanwhile, Canon Chara was sent to the fanon universe. It is literally Hell. Their mother is hypersexualised, their brother is a tsundere, the child they follow around and narrate about how has boobs, and worst of all said child is convinced they're making her kill everyone!

Once Frisk gets to Snowdin (after killing everyone in the ruins) she warps off to Sans' house with the man himself, leaving Chara to explore the underground on their own. Strangely enough, the world seems to be... glitching out? Monsters will talk about how their heads feel foggy or how they don't even know why they hate Sans so much and then glitch into a loop of "I hate Sans I hate Sans I hate Sans"

Is it something to do with those garbage noises that seem to constantly be playing with the music? Hopefully Chara can find out... before it's too late.

All the Blooks are cat people and cousins.

Papyton real, is the date storyline.

Alphys was Timid Dummy, and then Rar Rar Scratchy Clawy, a violent anime dinosaur sk8er.

Metta is captain of the royal guard and has a ponytail. Maddy wants to join but he fears she will kill everyone accidentally due to her incredible violence.

Undyne has several violent tv shows and movies. You shoot her legs off first and she's like "who needs legs... with arms like these?!" and starts suplexing shit.

Napsta makes sick beats and has anxiety, but is great at pretending they don't. They are incredibly popular. They still live in constant fear.

Sans records stupid jokes and never lets people hear em. He and the other ghosts aren't related.

Speaking of that last point, Alphys and Undyne are exes. Undyne abandoned her and Sans for the Hollywood dream. They probably get back together post pacifist.

Heats Flamesman is a child. He likes Metta because everyone knows his name. He aspires to be like that some day.

Monster Kid wants you to believe in them. If you don't they will be traumatised. If you do, they will be so shocked you did, they will be traumatised anyway.

Epic Au where Frisk gets blasted by Toriel's fire magic and their soul's like "not today satan" and turns upside-down and Frisk becomes a fire monster.

Sansby real, and they adopt Frisk. They call them Dad and Also Dad. Fuku is their cousin now, and Heats Flamesman is their weird tiny uncle.

Blankstatale

First off, Blankstablook is an oc of mine of sorts. They're the ghost possessing the ruins dummy and they live there to avoid the sheer chaos that comes from living in the same vicinity of its cousins.

Anyway, resets don't exist and the player is the opposite of an alpha gamer and gets wiped out by the first Froggit they encounter after Toriel skedaddles. Blanksta feels bad for them (and for Toriel, she'll only blame herself) and so decides to possess them.

It ties the soul around their neck with Frisk's bandages, and proceeds. They do an awful job at pretending to be an alive child. It floats two feet off the ground the whole time, while the soul flails around trying to kill.

They also just generally act like an eldrich abomination and freak the shit out of everyone. Except their cousins. Who are just like "man, classic Blanksta"

Oh yeah and being a ghost they can't take damage which makes fights both very interesting and incredibly hilarious.

Anyway, Chara, two questions. Do you have know (or at least have memories of) other Undertale characters? (Like memory of the character)

And two (a more random one), any crushes or any ships of yourself do you have (if any)

Both are odd, but I’m just curious, and you can decline either if you want.

Oh yes, I can understand the confusion in that regard. Hell, I expected it! So no worries.

And yes, I knew most of the cast that we all fell in love with from the game! Of course, I knew my parents, Asgore and Toriel. After the last Reset, I lived with Mom and Frisk and visited Dad as much as possible.

As for the others, I was friends with Mettaton and Blooky (I usually chilled with Blook when he was mixing music or just chilling on the floor - he's super relaxing to hang out with - and Mettaton was an awful gossip, the few times he was actually in town), though I'll admit, I was way closer with Blooky than I was with Mettaton. Then there was Sans (I know, shocker right? I'm actually surprised that so many people think Sans and I would be mortal enemies or rivals - trust me, we both have common enemy to hate. Leads to a lot of bonding) and Papyrus, of course. How could anyone NOT like Papyrus? He's the softest lil puffball we got. I would commit another genocide if anyone made him cry, I swear.

Oh, and of course I knew Alphys and Undyne. Undyne and I did some sparring (I needed an outlet for my more. . . Violent tendencies) and me and Alphys got to know each other pretty well, since she was the one who ultimately revived me and gave me a chance at life again (Sans may be one hell of a quantum physicist and engineer, but I would swear on my life that nobody knows biology better than Alphys). We mainly just watched and talked about anime, or my own health. Strangest GP relationship I've ever had. I actually got to be at their wedding, you know? It was a lovely service, small but beautiful all the same. They went for vanilla ice cream cake, and it was so fucking good. I still dream about that cake sometimes.

As for ships. . . Ok, I can already hear the questions and all your hopes and dreams, so I'll just say it: Yes, Frisk and I were together. Settle down, Charisk shippers, settle down,I know you're all excited. We were together about a year before my fictive memories end and my current life actually began, so we uhm. . . We didn't get much time together, unfortunately. It sucks, but I've learned to live with it and have moved on. Maybe sometime I'll go into more detail about it.

Okay, Fishdings is basically an AU where Gaster is Undyne's dad and his name is Fishdings Angler!

He's still the royal scientist though, he works for Asgore and specialises in multiversal studies, coming up with ways to bust out of the underground, the CORE, SOULS and whatever mechanical bullshit the adhd mindset decides he should build today.

The canon Gaster followers are, of course, his coworkers, as are the Goners.

He had a sister named Shelley (a geologist) who reproduced via asexual reproduction twice. She had two daughters who she named Shyra and Shyren. Sadly, not long after she created Shyren, she was killed by the JUSTICE DETERMINATION child, Caper.

Despite mourning his sister, Fishdings was also jealous that she had children and decided he should attempt to carry out something similar! He set up in the lab basement a là powerpuff girls, and combined the powers of HIMSELF*, RAW COSMOS AND GOLDFISH CRACKERS! He was content with this mixture, but OH NO! he accidentally knocked in a flask of LIQUID JUSTICE DETERMINATION, a lá powerpuff girls! (like I said, he was studying souls)

*(he can use magic to shift between having legs and having a fish tail, and mid shift it's goopy. He used a lump of this goop)

From this mixture a five year old child sprung fully formed and immediately attempted to fight her creator. And won. Fishdings was very very proud of his five minute old daughter and immediately took her to his boss so she coukd get lessons in combat. While she attempted (and failed) to beat the living shit out of Asgore, he came up with the perfect name: UNDYNE.

Once Undyne got too tired to keep attempting to fight, Fishdings decided to take her to see her relatives. They took the ferry (obviously) and Undyne got to meet her honourary uncleaunt Riverperson.

Riverperson has legal custody of Shyra and Shyren (they and Shelley were inseparable when she was alive), but as they are busy ferrying people around half the day (and trying to build a bigger boat) they mostly leave the girls in the care of the Blooks.

Undyne meets her cousins and their babysitters: Maddy, Blankstablook**, Napstablook and Hapstablook. Maddy, the eldest at 13, is the only one who actually babysits (the others are no help) but all of the ghosts insist they babysit too.

** Blankstablook is the ruins dummy

Shyren, one, is excited to meet her new cousin and they are fast friends. They frequently run around the house together screaming. Shyren is a very musical baby and Undyne just likes yelling.

Shyra, six, is... less fond of Undyne. As her mother was killed by the justice child and Undyne is made of justice determination, she resents her new cousin a little. She eventually warms up to her though, and they grow up very close.

Shyra and Shyren live in the house that we know in the game as Undyne's, in Waterfall. The Blooks live literally right next door, making babysitting convenient. Undyne spends half her childhood here when Fishdings is busy with science stuff.

Undyne and her dad live in the top floor of the lab. It's really just a bed crammed into a corner with various photographs pinned to the walls around it, but there's a tv in the basement. So. Undyne is free to run around the lab as long as she doesn't touch anything dangerous. The other scientists become quite fond of her over time too.

A few years later, Fishdings decides that Undyne is getting too old to live in the lab with him, so they buy a house in Snowdin for Shyra, Shyrup*** and Riverperson and move into their old place. The Shy sisters are okay with this! Snowdin has way more kids their age, and there's a schoolhouse so they aren't alone at home all day. The Blooks are happy to make the trip to visit sometimes too.

*** Shyren discovered they're non binary and so is Shyrup now

When Undyne's 15 her dad falls into the CORE. How? Not sure yet. Anyway, Undyne is so filled with JUSTICE DETERMINATION her hair glows gold and she vows to find him. It takes a few years, but they eventually figure out he's trapped in the void, build a portal and send a now 17 year old Undyne in to get him out.

The only problem is Fishdings is now liquid. He lives in a vat for a while, until he's eventually solid enough (slime consistency) to move around on his own. He immediately commissions a giant fish tank on the top floor of the lab, fitted with the void portal in the corner and takes to doing multiversal/void research in there.

The other scientists are relocated to a bigger lab in New Home so Fishdings can leave his slime and half built portals all over the damn place but they still visit sometimes! Fishdings visits the other lab sometimes too but mostly stays in a fishbowl on wheels so to not drip on the carpet.

Another year or so later, Fishdings gets word of a young scientist named Alphys who built a fabulous robot, that now has his own tv show. He arranges a meeting with her and hires her on the spot, giving her free run of the basement for whatever science related shit she pleases. He allowed her to use the basement because he wasn't using it, definitely not because he saw Undyne making heart eyes at the lizard monster...

Not long after that, Shyra "falls down". Fishdings and Undyne are devastated, and Alphys vows to find a way to revive Shyra and other monsters who have suffered the same fate.

The amalgam incidents carry out as they did in canon, except this time Fishdings finds out about it. It's difficult to hide four (five? six??) goop monsters in the basement when you have another goop monster two floors up who likes to pop down sometimes (nosy).

He encourages her to come forward about it, so the Amalgamates are returned to their overjoyed (albeit slightly confused) families. Undyne and Shyrup are, of course, overjoyed to have Shyra back! Except now she's also Moldbygg and Aaron, and goes by Baked Bread.

Two humans fall into the underground when Undyne turns 24. Their names are Revel and Frisk. Will they kill everyone or will they be pacifists? Depends which fanfic Killer and I will eventually write you read...

So yah. Other than Gaster being a fish and present and Undyne's dad and the amalgams being free and sans not existing and Shyrup and Baked Bread being very very relevant, not much else changes.

There are aesthetic changes ofc: Fishdings puts fishy motifs into everything he creates, and being head scientist means the rest of the Underground take to using fishy motifs in their everyday lives.

Fishdings made the puzzles in the ruins (he used to go down there to visit Toriel before she decided to close it off altogether), so they also look fishy. His puzzle skillz inspired Shyrup to make a few music themed ones of her own in Snowdin. Fishdings made a lot of the puzzles in Waterfall and Hotland too so again, FISHY MOTIFS.

Mettaton is Mermatriton bc he and Alphys were too inspired by the overabundance of fishiness.

Um that's all I can think of to say for now, oh expect in the fanfictions Killer and I will eventually write, the SOUL controls Revel on pacifist and Frisk on geno. So yeah!

concept: Frisk reset so many times that the timeline reset and most roles got juggled in the process. Sans is the caretaker of the ruins, Papyrus and Alphys are the same, Undyne is princess and Gerson is king, Toriel and Asgore live a peaceful life in waterfall, Frisk and Monster kid are together and have a kid, Hapstablook and Napstablook live in basically the same positions, though Mad Mew Mew takes Mettaton’s place…

Also frisk is an adult and the bartender and grillby is the snowdin shopkeep. Where’s the shopkeeper bunny? She’s head of the Royal Keepers, the substitute for the royal guard. She and her fellow Keepers guard Gerson’s health.

Dogamy and Dogaressa are in the place of the two gay guards, who swapped with them.

Doggo is off living his best life at the head of one of the Royal Keepers subdivisions (illness detection)

Lesser dog and Greater dog maintain a few shops here and there, including running the business side of Mad Mew Mew’s corporate empire.

Nice cream guy and Burger pants are dating and they live in waterfall in the same town as Toriel, Asgore, and the Blooks.

The patience soul took Frisk’s place as the 7th human. Frisk can no longer reset. Chara is missing.

The 5 other humans are also alive and living peacefully amongst monsters.

But is it really the best timeline? Is everyone really happy?

* notes:

- Frisk is amab gnc, and dresses in whatever presentations they feel.

- Monster kid and Frisk’s kid was surrogated by an outside mother, and is legally theirs.

- Frisk refers to their bun as a “them-bun”

- Monster kid remains cis masc, but is open to whatever his family wants him to do when they’re playing pretend and such. He’s a good dad, albeit a bit nervous.

Anonymous Letter + Responses

”Hello! Hope you’re doing fine!”

Yello! I’m doing alright! I just checked the askbox and saw this, thought I’d give a few responses and clarify a few things given you went out of your way to type down all this.

“I’m just here to mention how much I love Rupturedtale! Well, I only discovered it yesterday, but it’s been a wild ride since then. I love what you did with the minor characters in the Ruins! I expected Napstablook to launch more self-deprecating non-jokes, but, meh, can’t all show random humans we’re depressed now, can we?”

The stuff with Blook was written a while back and I didn’t really have self-deprecating non-jokes in mind for them. I tend to not touch the stuff in general.

“It’s been an absolute (and delightful) shock when it was revealed the blue voice actually was Toriel. And the mercenaries, though KINNNDDDA annoying at first, became quite eandearing over time. Even though he’s kind of immature and uses bad language at times, I liked some of Madjick’s wording, ‘cause it really showed Monsterkind went through some stuff. I think I teared up when Jack visited Toriel’s bedroom. I didn’t get she actually was in his head yet xD”

Cursing was a bit more prevalent in earlier drafts of the AU, mostly in regards to Jack, given he’s meant to be an outsider and a moody teenager. It was toned down over the years as I’d rather it be used for the more “important” moments.

“Reusing the unused soundtrack “stars” for Knight Knight’s battle made it all the more epic. I really got into it, and kinda got attached to them.”

A lot of AUs tend to use Star for either Chara or Frisk, but given it was meant to be used for Madjick, I decided it’d ultimately be better used for The CORE Mercs instead. Mostly Knight Knight, all things considered. Given she’s kind of tall and imposing. 

“Ah. And of course. G R A N D P A.”

Don’t wake him up.

“I must admit I couldn’t quite fathom having a friendly flowey in the beginning. But I came to understand that this was a “failed pacifist ending” and not a “leaderless ending” as I was speculating, which actually allowed what I thought were plotholes to make a lot more sense.”

All I can say without going into spoiler territory is that his behaivour is not without purpose.

“Snowdin, at its beginning, has been a real nightmare. :D Keep in mind I thought this was a leaderless ending. Seeing Sans acting like he did, like nothing changed at all, got me, uh, unbelievably angry. 

Then it was made pretty clear a lot changed over time, and I got incredibly sad instead. :D 

That talk in Snowdin he’s got with Jack, about hate being a cycle… made me realize he’s got time to carefully mull things over. 

And me, I will never get over the fact that he’s now wearing Papyrus’ frigging old fedora. I’ve never seen someone able to reconcile heartwrenching and utterly hilarious so well. xD Fits Sans!”

Sans was kind of a nightmare to figure out how to write given the context of what occured prior to Jack falling down. But like with Flowey, I can tell you his behaivour is not without purpose.

I’m glad you like his fedora. Snowdin in general was meant to showcase various old concepts that didn’t make it into Undertale proper, like the 98 Robots and Papyrus’ old hat.

“THE ROBOT 98. WOW I LOVE THEM?! The Puzzle Punisher or whatever he’s called is by far my favorite I wish Papyrus met him I’m sure they’d find a lotta common ground. Well that’s maybe a lie 'cause my favorite is Ninety, or, since it’s Papyrus’ headcanon, Nintwo. I was very skeptical of him, but then he grew on us, I guess. His theme is awesome and his battle was too, and he and Dodge kind of remind us of Sans and Papyrus, but since they’re taking up their role in Snowdin that’s not much of a surprise. “

I’ve been told a lot of times that the 98 Robots are probably the most iconic thing in this AU, and I am not at all surprised to learn that.

I’m glad you enjoyed them as much as you did. The 98 Puzzle Punisher in particular is the best and most powerful character I have created for this AU. If there is a God out there He trembles in fear every time The 98 Puzzle Punisher is spoken of.

Jokes aside, I do not recall if Ninty and Doge being a bit similar to the brothers was done deliberately or if it was an accident on my part. At the end of the day you will find that they do not share the same ideals as them, which is what matters the most at the end of it.

I’m glad to hear that. The soundtrack for this was something I wanted done for a long while now. You’ll come to find the future tracks even better.

I was truly waiting for the point when Toriel, Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys, Mettaton, Asgore would have been commenting Jack’s every move with “helpful” remarks, though…. 

This sounds like a lightly complicated situation, doesn’t it?”

Having the entire cast of Undertale in my head sounds like a fate worse than death. Imagine the noise.

“Asgore is still in charge, the human attempted a genocide run and got stopped at Undyne, which makes for empty ruins, empty snowdin, and empty waterfall. From there, Undyne could have died alongside the human— but judging by the something’s presence it’s unlikely. Something must have happened, and Undyne got both herself and the human disabled somehow— one of ‘em, Undyne particularly, is probably the something, judging by the fishlike shadow we can see following Jack around. Maybe both of them. I don’t really think determination melts humans, though…..”

If only you knew how bad things really are.

“Obviously, at this point, it’s got pretty clear that what we thought was cold acceptance from Sans is anything but. He wants to “rat out” the something, particularly if it IS the human. He’s going to the extent of looking creepy and trying to “use” Jack to do so. This means it’s more of a priority to him than he lets it show.  

Why is that? I couldn’t tell you: Asgore seeks it out too perhaps? …Or maybe he’s got something against this human. (How would I have guessed!) 

Or does he simply just want to “see how it all ends?”

That’s some weird, cryptic, mildly concerning sentence. Particularly concerning the double meanings this statement has. That’s our Sans alright.”

You’d find that Jack is someone who, at the end of the day, get things done.

One way or another.

“Anyhow, MTT probably took the place of the CPTN considering his G L A M O U R O U S shows. I wonder what motivated him to expand the royal guard… Alphys’s death? Her connection with Undyne? MTT doesn’t hate Humans in the first place, does he? Is the CPTN actually some other guy? 

What’s up with the capital? What’s up with Asgore? Can I hug Asgore? Will Sans ever give me his fedora, I want the same? Will freeing the amalgamates make Doge happy? I love Doggo, did he get a proper grave?”

“And those people are like, the most important people in your life that just died a few months ago and put you through a tumultuous period of constant changes, depression, and internal crisis. Every time you talk to Jack, they hear.” 

“…huh. mind tellin’ me who those two people are?” 

“Sans. Your dead brother is living, and talking, and sometimes even stress-cleaning inside the head of this kid that’s currently watching TV right next to you.” 

Sans didn’t have much to respond to that. besides maybe, “…” 

“And the old lady you spent hours trading jokes with, that just happened to be your closest friend? She’s also living inside this kid’s head.” 

Sans looked at Jack’s coconut-sized skull. 

“must be crowded in there.”  “

That’s a hysterical visual.
