hiii here are some quirk ideas for your drself, self-insert, oc, etc !!

** most of these are re-uploaded from my previous post that's now private- sorry (not that sorry)

| overdrive; allows the user to stockpile energy, then convert it into bursts of enhanced speed or strength. It also passively detects nearby threats by sensing hostile or unstable energy.

| encouragement: grants user a stockpile of energy to draw on for physical enhancements; stockpile only grows in response to praise/compliments/encouragement

| chain charge; user stores kinetic energy trhough repetitive movements, user can chain multiple releases together for consecutive enhanced strikes

| double team; creates duplicates of the user— can either be real or just illusions— with the same capability as the original user, once attacked, the multiples dissolve into mist

| lucky cat/maneki neko; a calico japanese bobtail cat mutation, including cat like abilities, and having and bringing people close to the user extreme luck

| owl; so many options— barn, snowy, great horned etc. wings, agility, speed, strength.

| red panda; appearance of a red panda, enhance agility, flexibility, sharp claws, enhanced balance, strong bite, and strong grip, night vision

| cheshire cat; same abilities as the cheshire cat, cat like behaviors, and purple/pink cat mutation

| meta-multiplier; allows the user to multiply other people's quirk genes into their own body, thus being able to manifest other people's quirks (yes like afo) the limit is related to the amount of previous users of OFA

| meta-mix; knocked off of meta-multiplier, the user can copy compatible aspects of other people's quirks and combine it into one

| shards; can manifest crystal as weaponry, shields, or just crystals in general. not the valuable type tho

| energy; energy manipulation. can transfer energy between people, from plants to people, from energy to bursts of power,

| synergy; increases the abilities of intended people around the user to complete the object the user has intended.

| upgrade; allows the user to generate temporary mechanical augmentations, such as armor or boosters, directly into the users body in response to situational needs, the upgrades adapt in real time

| great knowledge; after coming in contact with a copy of physical media (ie. a book) the user absorbs the knowledge stored within it

| mahou shoujo; user has the same general abilities as a main character from a mahou shoujo (magical girl) anime (including transformation, superhuman abilities, healing magic, great luck, etc)

| mirror; after witnessing an action the user can copy it flawlessly

| instructions; the user can see clear instructions to create and build devices or machines the user has seen/thought of

| requip; the user has heightened strength, and has a pocket dimension filled with weapons and gadgets (erza scarlet)

| shield; can create electromagnetic shields or shoot it out in bullets (violet parr)

| alien; has superhuman strength/abilities, can fly, energy manipulation in the form of beams and bursts (starfire)

| crystal; can create crystal structures and objects/weapons (lolirock)

| psybeam; allows user to transform energy into bursts of energy in the form of a beam (like pokemon move)

| overclock; can temporarily accelerate user’s physical and mental processing speed, allowing them to react faster, think more quickly, and execute movements with extreme precision. however, it doesn’t increase their strength only their speed and efficiency.

His voice was sleepy and a little hoarse, “y’not close enough.” You hummed in response. He turned to lay on his back, taking you with him. Izuku

Izukuuu. I love Izuku so much. He's like a little brother to me. I know we're not even a year apart in age, but this boy is entirely book smart and he gets himself into way much trouble. He's a bleeding heart. It worries me.

But boy he can COOK. Maybe not restaurant level meals, but he's so effortlessly good at cooking. Probably because he has a single mom & likes to help out when she's busy.

Can I just say I get three heart attacks every time he uses his Quirk at the start of the schoolyear. STOP BREAKING YOUR BONES, YOU DUMBASS. 💀.

He's too reckless. He has such a good heart and such a bright mind, but sometimes he uses the thing in his chest when he should be using the thing in his head.

Contrary to popular belief, Izuku can, in fact, be a troublemaker. For serious trouble he has to be convinced and enabled (that's what katsuki and i are for), but he'll start light-heartedly teasing his friends on his own. Small pranks are also in his itinerary.

The best listener and comforter, hands down. He's a hugger. And he's incredibly nervous and awkward around girls, but once a girl probably gets close to him, he'll be very casual with touches, especially when it's supportive. He's a total sweetheart. [More about me and Izuku...]

Shouto

Speaking of sweethearts, Shouto is a sweetheart to the people he cares about, but he's so subtle about it, you won't notice unless you pay attention.

A devoted follower of the sidewalk rule. He's not chronically online, so he doesn't know it's an actual thing. He just wants to make sure his loved ones are safe.

God forbid I'm uncomfortable. Cold? He'll give me his jacket or hoodie. Thirsty? A water bottle appears out of nowhere in my hand. Hungry? One of my favourite snacks gets slid into my pocket.

And lord. Creeps. Shouto knows I'm not confrontational in the slightest, so whenever someone creeps on me (or is just generally being a threat towards me), he'll silently grab my arm and pull me closer or drag me to a different place, depending on the situation.

And he knows I like taking pictures for my social media (especially on special occasions), so he learned how to take good pictures. Like a built in photographer. I reward him with cold soba.

Shouto is also jealous. He keeps seeing people like me, praise me, give me awards, and it upsets him. He's working hard too, why doesn't he get the same attention? not that he WANTS attention, he hates being in the spotlight (and is horrible at it), but it still stings to see his work being ignored.

Still, though, despite the slight tension between us, he would never hurt me, and he'll always protect and take care of me.

Because that's just how loyal he is.

Katsuki

Katsuki. What do you think i'll have to say about him? The obvious; he's a hothead, he's competitive, he's probably determined to a fault, and he's a bit of an asshole.

Except when it comes to the people he loves. His family and childhood friends. Mention one of them, and he'll be at your throat. Talk shit about his loved ones, and he'll be sure to deck you in the face, mention every way in which you suck infinitely more than them, or both.

Might I mention he's also a gentleman, despite it all?

Katsuki will swing open doors like an ill-mannered, complete “bad boy delinquent” type, but only when I'm behind him. It's a subtle way of opening the door for me, a nearly imperceptible act of chivalry that still allows him to keep up his public asshole images.

Katsuki hovers near me whenever I'm vulnerable (physically or emotionally), silently watching and making sure I'm okay. And if anyone dares to approach or even look my way? He'll scare them away with a glare that could freeze a thousand burning suns.

Oh, and you never know what to expect from us. One second, we're bickering because of our clashing "aggressive dog" and "sunshine girl" personalities and you think we'll kill each other. The next, he's got an arm slung around my shoulders, and we're both smirking while spouting things like "you hate us 'cause you ain't us" and "now you've seen two pretty best friends".

Oh. And I'm only mentioning how he acts as a friend. We're not dating/falling for each other throughout any of this (yet.) so consider this how he'd treat a good, close friend (who he would never admit is a good, close friend)

~ WHAT DOES A YUUEI STUDENT HAVE IN HER BAG?

╰ my phone. obviously, i need my phone. it has a cute gang orca phone case. my phone is usually at 70-80%, and i use it mostly for music; which brings me to my next item.

╰ my earbuds. listen, i just hate having to untie the cords, so cordless earbuds = my love. they’re flexible, and they’re green.. win-win.

╰ my pencil case. i never use the wooden pencils, so it’s filled with mostly mechanical ones. There are some sharpies, markers, and a few pens in here, too; with like.. four erasers.

╰ notebooks. i absolutely despise soft books, so i only have hardcovers. i also only have four notebooks in my bag. i don’t take notes during english or japanese (i’m fluent in both languages), so i only really write stuff down in math class, history class, and heroic stuff like laws and what to do in specific situations.

╰ first aid kit. fact of the matter is, i don’t always know what’s going to happen. my hero costume (when it’s made) will have a first aid kit on the utility belt, and i’ll keep one in my bag.

╰ tony’s chocolonely chocolate bar. i figure since i’m going to a version of bnha that has lana del ray and jenna ortega, it would still have my favorite chocolate bar, so why not.

╰ water bottle. as a yuuei student, and a pretty big one at that, i need my water bottle. it’s this pretty light green color, and i got it last year in hosu! i love inclusive shops <3.

╰ random rocks i picked up. in my defense, i’m highly autistic, and they’re all pretty. they’ve sunken to the bottom of my bag, and i keep saying i’ll clean them out later.. i never do.

╰ my fuggler, akuma. it’s the pink one, and i love her. i mostly bring her to school because i think it’ll be funny is someone were to look in my bag and see her.. her name is on purpose, too. wanna creep some people out, no big deal.

This might be weird but one of my favorite (physical) headcanons about Touya is his body heat distribution. His body and his quirk are direct contradictions of each other and I took that into account when trying to figure out if he would be someone who is typically warm or typically cold. It was hard to choose one side or the other but the conclusion I came to is that he’s both. Most of his body runs cold and is colder to the touch than the average person. However, his hands and his chest are not. His hands because that is where his quirk is produced outwardly a majority of the time but also his chest because as shown in the manga/anime, a lot of fire users powers actually primarily stem from the heart/chest area. It’s seen in both Shouto and Enji. So rather than Touya being either a cold person or a hot person, he is a mixture of the two.

a tight grip on reality

Bakugo never liked beating around the bush. It was vague, and utterly pointless. He didn’t get why some people skirted around the truth like it was some deadly disease; it would get you eventually so just deal with it.

It wasn’t as if you actually died if you told the truth outright, or acted honestly. He didn’t see the reason why. He’s always been a man of action, clear and unwavering. He was going to be the best, and this was his way of reaching that. Why anything less? 

So, when he came to the (frankly terrifying) conclusion that he liked you, he was appalled to find himself doing the very things he disliked. 

Almost every time you walked into the room, he would feel his chest tighten and breath stupidly quicken. He’s had his fair share of panic attacks to know that you were not inducing one of those. How could you possibly, when you run circles in his head all the damn time, with the same teasing smile. 

Don’t even start on the fact that he’s noticed himself plain staring at you. Eyes fixated on the way your plush lips strung words together. 

Once, he was lucky enough to spot a crumb, hanging from the tip of your lip. It must’ve been your breakfast or something. The moment he decided to tell you, however, you called him out on his apparent ‘shameless’ staring, tilting your head at him, smug, as if you were eyeing your next prey. In response, all he did was raise his eyebrows, and point to his own lips, before walking away with red ears to leave alone you wiping the crumbs off your face. Smooth. Real smooth. 

Imagine his elation the first time you had let him kiss you. 

He trembled as he pressed a kiss to the side of your mouth, soft and plush, not fully indulging in the taste of your lips. His breath hitched. Your jaw was warm in his hands. He felt you squeeze his arm as gently as ever. Nails scraped delicately over his hot skin. God, he wished he could sink into you. 

Bakugo would die before he would ever admit that he wanted to cling to your very existence. But, with a bat of your lashes, maybe just maybe, he will in his own way. A full surrender. 

As he pulled away to look at you once more, he barely willed himself out of the trance you placed him in. He stared at your dazed expression. You were enjoying this. A smile, just short of a full blown grin.  

“I’m surprised Katsuki.” Your voice was breathy and sly, as if you’ve been waiting for this moment. His eyes found yours, gleaming with matching playfulness. 

He let out a huff, knowing full well what you were going to say. He felt you lean into his touch. 

“You didn’t kiss me properly.”

“Mmh, didn’t I? I just kissed you though.” 

“My mouth is—”

He didn’t let you finish your sentence. He moved to kiss you, again and again, leaving marks along the line of your jaw as some kind of proof that this wasn’t a dream.

﹒ my quirk works from external materials but also drains internal energy if needed for speed or for large scale attacks.

﹒ i need to physically touch or observe a weapon/material to replicate and manifest it properly.

﹒ if im using telekinesis to control too much objects it gives me a mental overload.

﹒ since my hypersensitive input allows me to feel a lot but that also means even a mild hit feels way worse.

﹒ the more intense or complex a weapon/construct, the more it strains my muscles and bones.

─　xtra: ﹒considering touch is my "main" input but my eyes..i can understand a weapon/building/material weakness just from looking at it and taking in its structural flaws to which gives me an advantage. i can lowkey see air pressure movements, micro twitches, vibrations in the environment.

﹒by touching a person i can feel micro muscle tensions so like lie detector who?? and i can pick up on emotions as well as their kinetic memory, emotional residue, or muscle memory signature so like how a person fights.

GEOGRAPHY

"when i hear that song, i wanna be with you"

musutafu (MST) prefecture is an island off the southern coast of japan located in the phillipine sea. its about 500-800km away from honshu, has 25,000 mi of land and is home to 35.3 million people. MST houses the most biodiverse tropical rainforest in japan (and one of the three most biodiverse in asia) which covers the entire island. MST has mild winters and minimal snow. it rarely reaches under 60/50 degrees F (10/15C?). both summer and spring are extremely humid.

HISTORY

i never script colonialism clean out, i just make it different. because im always like wait if we dont have colonialism why tf are so many people speaking european languages? makes no sense right? anyways heres how it worked (in all of my DR's btw); europeans had very little power & money compared to locals who integrated with the culture (including locals of european descent) and it was more of a "leader in name" thing. in actuality, colonialism was more similar to a trade partner agreement with colonies, and colonies themselves were very hard to keep--and usually made more money and had more clout than their european counterparts. MST had this situation with spain, england and portugal. as it was an island (and a rather big one) it was already very cut of from japan culturally, economically & socially. so when the mainland went in seclusion for the meiji restoration, the europeans had already gotten full access to MST.

CULTURE

linguistics the standard language is a portuguese-spanish-tagalog-japanese fusion? and more japanese dominant. no fucking clue how thatll sound.

diversity MST is very racially & ethnically diverse, with a steady flow of immigrants from all over the world. a few prominent origin points include ; south east asia, central america, the carribbean, usa, western europe, south america, taiwan and india. but of course there are many more. the natives are pretty racially diverse as well, about half of the japanese population is "afro-japanese" which is genetically similar to aetas or melanesians.

motorsports drag racing is fully decriminalized and extremely normal. so much so that entire tournaments and elaborate race tracks are built to encourage it. (partially because of the tourism it brings) but before you can do any drag racing you need a permit or license. its very normal for celebrities and heroes to drag race, theres even a yearly competition for celebrities.

lifestyle lazy, indulgent and leisurely. days are spent relaxing at a beach, vibing at a local cookout or shopping. were very friendly, open and relaxed. its a city with very big & bold personalities. most people are ambiverts and its cartoonishly easy to make friends. unfortunately the culture can be a little shallow at times.

beauty standard few are fussy on beauty standards but a visible sun tan is universally preferred. however theres two big rules: no fake tanning under any circumstance & never tan more than two shades darker. in terms of body types, both men & women with toned bodies and "nice" asses are attractive--but for women the addition of being curvy is preferred.

religion among the japanese population the most practiced religion is catholism. this branch of catholism is very heavily mixed with shintoism & buddhism though.

mardi gras/carnaval the prefectures biggest holiday. its both the best and the worst. the sense of community is a focal point, millions of people celebrating and having fun (including the sizable portion of non-christians). everywhere is packed, music is blasting and half the city is drunk and/or high. by night everyone forgets how to act. surely the busiest day for MST based heroes.

MUSUTAFU CITY DISTRICTS (16 total but im only writing for 4)

"on an island in the sun, we'll be playing and having fun"

the beach durrr the city has a ton of beaches, but this one is the most iconic, large and populated. its right in front of the cities biggest shopping center (what is basically our equivalent of times square...but not as dirty or ghetto). theres always people at this beach, hanging out, on a work break or at a cookout.

the ghetto about 2-3 districts are classified as ghettos. they have an extremely high crime rate, but low quality of life, income & rent. expect seas of street vendors, houses stacked on eachother, music playing all through the night and walls panted with street art. (urarakas district 😍)

the islands a fifteen island archipelago off of the cities coast. considered middle class or lower middle class. life in the islands is slow and easy going. many people work in agriculture or fishing so its known for food & open air markets. the islands have a fun nightlife scene but its generally more laid back. (my district)

rural district the largest district in the city. known for its rich traditional japanese culture, the abundance of natural marijuana and nature. the district is very sparsely industrialized, especially compared to the rest of the city, so its mostly jungle/rainforest. theres also so much wildlife there! and disturbingly large roaches. something cool about it is this biiig ass gate surrounding the whole district! (todoroki family's district)

all districts have a fair share of mongrels / stray dogs. many people take them in to "guard" the house, or just to care for them

people from the islands like to have cute lil sea animal mailboxes!
