Wait why does everyone hate brendon urie again?
i was tempted to just say "google it" but honestly panic's pr team is working doubletime to sanitize this bastard so here's a quick primer for those who are out of the loop.
this got long so i’m putting it under a cut. as a warning, this is going to have discussions and screenshots of people saying and doing extremely morally reprehensible shit, including racist, homophobic, and transphobic language, sexual harassment of minors, and more. tread with caution.
i'm also going to top this off with the caveat that brendon has a history of saying generally stupid and casually shitty things that a lot of people have noticed and called attention to, but these were largely unremarkable in the sense that they were the sort of things that i was not surprised to hear a privileged cis dude say. so while that's definitely a factor - the guy has said very shitty, openly racist, gross things, etc., numerous times and on numerous platforms and i do not want to overlook that - i also don't want to pretend like that’s the only thing going on here because there is a lot of other heinous shit at work.
i’m also not going to go into the intricacies of song meanings or lyrics and the like aside from a couple touchstone examples. it’s pretty public knowledge by now that i don’t know how but they found me (henceforth referred to as idkhow, fronted by dallon weekes, who worked/toured with panic for a good eight years as its bassist) has quite a few numbers that take implicit and explicit aim at panic, most prominently the video for their single “do it all the time,” which featured dallon setting fire to all the suits he used to wear on tour with the band. it’s an open secret that dallon was not treated very well during his time with panic, but we’ll get to that. the point here is that i don’t want to focus on conjecture of speculation when we have a wealth of very hard evidence at our disposal.
so let’s get into it.
the real Poop started up late 2019 iirc, when numerous panic fans started passing around stories about zack hall, panic's bodyguard and security guy who had been with the band since the fever era. as the only person who had actually been with the band as long as brendon himself, zack had a fair amount of sway with the fans and was notably very very close with brendon. as more and more people spoke up, it became apparent that zack had done a whole lot of things that i would term as "incredibly fucked up" over the years with people being generally afraid to say anything. it’s been pointed out to me that these accusations only picked up traction around that time; fans have been raising flags about zack’s behavior for years without any reaction from panic’s management.
around this time, discussion began circulating that brendon himself had sexually harassed/assaulted multiple fans (many of them minors at the time). some of these accusations, such as his attempt to solicit nudes from fans, have proven to be way muddier to and harder to confirm, seeing as brendon was allegedly not in charge of his socials for some of this time and one of the people using his handles to solicit fans for nudes was reportedly a former stalker of his, chelsey lynn.
i think it is worth noting that brendon has brought up his history with “stage gay” with founding member, guitarist, composer, and lyricist ryan ross and mentioned that brendon’s attempts to get handsy on stage were not always taken kindly (emphasis mine):
For our first headline tour I would go up to Ryan our guitar player, and like kiss him on the neck or kiss him on the mouth and he would be so mad. I was like, I just want to kiss you bro.
(that’s also the interview where brendon tried to both-sides the issue of roseanne being a hideous fucking racist. so, fun stuff.)
in any case, it took brendon four months to respond to any of the accusations leveled at him and zack. he ended up doing so by filming a two-minute apology on his twitch account (which was locked to subscribers only, meaning it was essentially monetized) [twitter thread summary for those who can't stomach it], only to say that he was just too anxious to say anything and that while zack had been removed from his position, he and brendon would remain close friends. he did not respond to any of the allegations against himself, and proceeded to basically go completely radio silent on all social media until reemerging in 2022 to promote viva las vengeance.
(contrast to this to how speedily he fired touring guitarist kenny harris in 2018 when multiple allegations arose that he was soliciting underage girls. he was removed from the tour in less than twenty-four hours. while the expediency of this was praised at the time, it retroactively raises a lot of questions as to how much brendon and/or zack knew about this behavior beforehand and were simply waiting for a good PR call to do something about it.)
brendon seeing no issues with zack’s behavior and only doing something about it when backed into a corner is very much not a good look, and is suggestive of the possibility that he’s complicit in or at the very least tolerant of this kind of fuckery.
but wait. theres more.
beyond the genuine fucked up behavior, brendon also has a history of severely mistreating his bandmates. we could get into the politics of the infamous schism that split founding member ryan ross (along with bassist jon walker) from brendon and the band’s drummer, spencer smith, but that is its own bag of worms and this post is long enough already. that drama is very well-covered. however, i think it’s worth noting that out of every single member of the band that has come through it, both creative contributor and touring member, the only former member to depart the band amiably was spencer, who took his leave because of struggles with alcoholism. he’s the only one who remains on good terms with brendon to this day, but he’s also technically brendon’s boss at this point since he helps manage the label dcd2, of which panic at the disco is a part.
most apparent and well-documented of brendon’s spotty history with his own bandmates is his treatment of dallon weekes and his wife, breezy weekes, while the former was writing and touring with the band. in that little zack hall clusterfuck above you can see places where breezy talked about being repeatedly harassed but electing to keep quiet so that dallon wouldn't risk losing his job. reportedly they both went to panic's management to put a stop to it, but the bad behavior continued, with both zack hall and brendon’s wife, sarah urie, as propagators. there was public outcry as people insisted that dallon and breezy were making this up for attention. however, eventually former touring guitarist (from 2009-2012) ian crawford (along with his sister), both spoke up to corroborate that zack's behavior (and brendon's enabling of it) were very much recurring issues and were part of the reason that ian left panic in the first place. ian's twitter is no longer active, so all i have are screenshots on tumblr for this one.
dallon has not spoken of his time spent with panic with much fondness. he replaced bassist jon walker in 2009 and contributed creatively on both vices and virtues (2011) and too weird to live, too rare to die (2013). for the former, he was responsible for the concept and album art. for the latter, he got writing credit for all but two of the tracks (casual affair and end of all things), and you can even find an early version of "far too young to die" that was originally penned for one of dallon's earlier projects, the brobecks. the controversial track "girls/girls/boys" (as well as “all the boys”) from too weird was written for dallon's wife, breezy, as a celebration for her pansexuality. the finished product would end up being about an alleged threesome brendon had.
in 2015 dallon stated that he would no longer be involved in panic’s writing process but would continue to serve as touring bassist before departing officially in 2017 and focusing all his efforts on the aforementioned idkhow along with former falling in reverse drummer (and former fellow brobecks bandmate) ryan seaman. while dallon has remained relatively cagey about his time with panic (as is entirely within his rights), he has on occasion commented that he often felt bullied and belittled in the workplace, and once referred to zack hall as "the actual worst person [he had] ever met."
breezy has been more frank about what dallon had to deal with during his time with the band and over time, dallon has been more up front about this as well. turns out dallon was underpaid to the point where he had to take up a second job cleaning carpets while touring with panic, and working side jobs and donating plasma for gas money between tours. this continued well into 2010 and possibly for longer. the ratio was reportedly something like $400 a night compared to brendon's $15k paycheck, so take that as you will.
that's most of what i can remember. i tried to sauce everything i could but please let me know if i missed anything. i also tried to embed the images but doing so kept breaking the damn post cause this is a webbed site so you only get links SORRY
tldr brendon urie is self-absorbed prick who hoards credit, mistreats his musicians, shelters predators, and may very well be a predator himself. fuck him.
also, while i definitely don't want to downplay the severity of just how horrendous a lot of this shit is, in the interests of not wrapping this on a totally down note i do want to mention that people were writing brendon and panic out of the "emo trinity" legacy as early as mid-2019 because everyone hated pray for the wicked that fucking much. after having to endure the musical travesty that is high hopes innumerable times during every single 20-minute grocery store run i was ready to chalk up my dislike of him to sheer annoyance so you can imagine my surprise when i learned that not only was this annoyance justified i wasn't actually hating him nearly enough.

Hi idk much about panic at the disco. Apart from his music why does everyone hate him so much?
God where to begin… p!atd was never really meant to continue after the original members agreed to disband, but brendon being the piece of shit he is decided to keep the name and keep going anyway. Great move. Theres the racism, the well documented predatory behavior towards women and minors. The way his bodyguard was sexually harassing women (including dallons wife btw) and brendon didnt fire the guy until last year. The way brendon sexually harassed the other members of panic. The list is long and bountiful. He also just has a shit attitude which made it hard to like him, and then paired with everything i just listed….

can i ask why you say brendon is evil and mean to fans but pete did the same thing and you still like him?
In 2015 or so, Brendon’s bodyguard cropped a photo of a Panic at the Disco crowd to focus in on a larger fan and captioned it “Panic’s biggest fan” or something and then posted it on Twitter. Brendon retweeted it.
Hey Chris vaguely accused Pete in his hate letter of mocking fans in their personal conversations, including regarding their weight. I believe this happened, and it’s not cool or okay. But also, the primary motivation for Chris’ post was the fact that Pete allegedly tried to fuck his girlfriend, and he provided no specifics.
Someone vaguely accusing someone else of making insensitive comments to their friends in private in 2006 is very different from a public social media post made in 2015ish attached to a PHOTO of that person and shared to 1.9 million followers.
I absolutely believe Pete (and many other band dudes) made offensive jokes or comments in private, and it’s not something I agree with. But he would never post a photo of a fan and mock her on social media for 1.9 million people to see. He has never done anything like that. That’s an unbelievably cruel thing to do and is on a completely different level of bullying than whatever spews out of your mouth when you’re alone with your friends

when will Brendon Urie stans realise that it's not only about him having been shitty in the past, it's about how he continues to learn nothing from his actions?
they claim he's changed and no longer says or tweets problematic things. this isn't true. how many times has he had to apologise on stream for things he's said? even though he's done it several times in the past? he continues to employ (albeit not as a bodyguard) and remain friendly with Zack Hall, a literal predator. when he 'apologised' about the Zack incident, he said NOTHING about accusations directed at him, and NOTHING about the band members who were harassed. not to mention, this apology happened MONTHS after the issue was brought up. MONTHS. of radio silence. which continued as Brendon chose to lay low instead of owning up to his actions. and now? he's back, pretending that nothing has happened.
how is any of this learning from his actions? changing as a person? how can you justify remaining friends and going on vacation with a literal predator?
we do not dislike Brendon because he's done bad things in the past. we dislike him because he hasn't shown change and refuses to own up to his actions.
the difference between Dallon and Brendon is that Dallon is open about his past mistakes. he's shown that he's changed and is receptive to new ideas and opinions. he's owned up to his previous actions. also, he never covered for a literal predator.
it's not about accepting an apology. it's about the actions that come afterwards.

so what exactly is the drama with dallon and p!atd? kinda new to idkhow and kinda clueless about everything ;-;
Sorry, I'm late to answering this. A general summary is that Brendon mistreated Dallon in many ways while he was with P!ATD. That included physically hurting him, emotionally abusing him, constantly degrading him, lying about him, preventing fans from giving him things, religiously discriminating against him, allowing and supporting literal sexual harassment of his wife via the P!ATD bodyguard (who Brendon is still friends with) and not correctly attributing crediting to Dallon for things he wrote. There's certainly other things too, and at one point, maybe like 4 years ago, I would have had screenshots to correlate with what I'm saying but I don't anymore. There's pictures out there of tweets, stuff Dallon's mom and brother have said on Facebook and Instagram comments from involved parties, and things like that. This is a real general gloss over of it, so anybody feel free to add to it or contextualize it more eloquently.

ppl defending brendon urie will never sit right with me. mans has been openly racist as well as sexist transphobic and fetishized wlw AND severely underpaid his band member dallon (dude had to take carpet cleaning jobs to make ends meet meanwhile brendon was making six figures), let a super creep be his bodyguard for YEARS and may have been abusing people like??????? and there's probably more i'm forgetting
I know. 😑 I’m so glad his sickening behavior is finally being brought to the forefront. Actions like this cannot be excused.
I also read somewhere that he raped and abused his girlfriend? Now ex? So yeah a complete and total piece of shit.

okay i must have missed what brendon urie did bc i’m confusion
It’s more like what he hasn’t done. I’m 2020 there were a whole bunch of allegations brought against him and his then manager/bodyguard/friend Zack. I stead of responding right away he waited 4 months to speak out and fire Zack. He’s also done other shitty things including using slurs several times.
Also I just hate his voice and the way Panic! has devolved since he became the sole member. There is no creative aesthetic. The lyrics are shallow (we get it you smoke weed and have lots of sex). His voice is so strained at this point I would pay him money to stop. And if you’ve somehow managed to chase off every original member of your band AND their replacements there’s something up with you. At that point it’s not creative differences anymore.
So yeah, brendon urie can get fucked. I hope ryan and Dallon can take turns beating him over the head with a steel chair.

The Venture Bros. #27: “Showdown at Cremation Creek Part I” | October 8, 2006 – 10:30PM | S02E12
Here comes a big episode, in that a lot of stuff happens in it. The Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend are reunited, and the Monarch asks her to marry him. She agrees, so long as he gives up arching the Venture Bros. Unfortunately for him, his henchmen have captured the entire Venture family after a chance encounter with Brock where they were able to get a jump on him. Luckily the Monarch is able to brush off this imprisonment with a quick lie: the Ventures are actually guests at their wedding and Dr. Venture is going to be his best man, an honor meant to prove to Dr. Girlfriend just how serious the Monarch is about quitting arching Dr. Venture.
Meanwhile, Dr. Venture realizes that Dr. Girlfriend had been the one that seduced him way back in season one's Mid-Life Chrysalis. Dean winds up getting locked in the engine room of the cocoon, I think? Yes. I'm pretty sure I'm right about that. Hank winds up with a fake goatee after playing with 21's toys and pretends to be a Russian guy to save face in front of Sgt. Hatred, a previously mentioned-but-unseen child molester who had touched both Hank and Dean inappropriately. This is of course, unacceptably insensitive and not funny at all. … AAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Sorry. The sovereign, who I believe we saw previously in a couple episodes, is also attending the wedding. When he shows up in his non TV-screen form, we discover he's actually David Bowie (Jay Sherman voice: “celebrity voices are impersonated”). He shows up with Iggy Pop and Klaus Nomi, who died of AIDS in the early 80s. I love that they just decided to put him in this show as if he were simply still living in this universe. It's nice! Also: I feel like a not-very-cool-guy admitting this, but this episode was my introduction to Klaus Nomi.
Phantom Limb crashes the nuptials and a big fight is about to break out. TO BE CONTINUED!
This is a weird one for a lot of reasons – first is the lack of the regular lengthy opening sequence (replaced by a short music sting with a rapid succession of Venture character's faces and the title). I think from this point forward the full opening sequence become more of a rarity than not. In this episode what would've been the closing credits play over the opening scene where Phantom Limb is hunting all of the Monarch's cell mates from the season opener The Most Dangerous Game style. To intimidate Monarch, I guess. Anyway, it's yet another bit that absolutely requires prior knowledge of the previous episodes, though I guess it's sorta explained in dialogue. Later, when David Bowie appears a subtitle shows up with him explaining that the real David Bowie wasn't actually voicing him.
Sgt. Hatred has a bigger role in the series later on, but he's here with a similar voice (Brendon Small voices him here) and similar look; he looks more slender in season two. I guess his weight fluctuates. He was mentioned in I Know Why the Caged Bird Kills as having kidnapped and molested both boys, so it's especially dark that Hank is being asked to sit next to him at the wedding. Later he'd become their bodyguard, which is pretty freaking effed up.
I ultimately consider this particular set of episodes to be on the weaker side. There is way too much plot and not enough pure comedy. There's definitely jokes and funny character stuff, but the creators of the show were starting to go up their own asses with plot and backstory and lore and all that stuff. I think the writing and characters and design of the show are all pretty strong and can withstand the show being light on laughs, but boy, do I prefer the funny episodes. Like Viva Los Muertos, I remember being disappointed as a new fan of the show. But unlike that episode, this one doesn't grow on me. It's just okay.
Also, not getting to hear the closing credits music is a big let down. I really do wish they just did this one as an hour-long instead of a two-parter.

"Sarcasm noted and absolutely not appreciated" Celeste frowned at him as she sauntered out of the cell. She gave her new friend one final wave before she followed Brendon outside. The bodyguards put in place by her overbearing father prior to Brendon's arrival would have put their own necks on the line just so that Celeste wouldn't have to endure the ride in the back of a cop car, but her current overpaid babysitter seemed to be hellbent on having her face the consequences of her own actions. His response nearly has her stopping in her tracks, "Are you blackmailing me, Brendon?" Her tone goes a little high-pitched at the end of her question. "I bet if my dad finds out where I was, my punishment will have a far better recovery time than yours" Once within the confines of the car, Celeste felt even more emboldened to continue with her demands - although, Brendon did catch her off guard when he told her that he had pretty much taken care of it already. "Well, look at you starting to make amends already" She mockingly praised him. Now that it was switched back on, Celeste's phone was buzzing non-stop from all the backed-up notifications. She opened her purse and began to bring herself up to speed on all the happenings during her overnight stay. "I don't exactly have a ten-page list, but I do have a few simple...requests..." She told Brendon, more focused on her phone than her revenge plan to make his day miserable. "Once we pick up my breakfast, I'll need to stop by my place so that I can shower, then we'll need to go to the nail shop - I chipped, like, nearly all of them...don't ever challenge a sex worker to a burpee contest" She checked off each task on her finger as she spoke. "And to think, if you hadn't left me there - you could have had a day off which leads me to believe you actually enjoy my company"

Has a funeral for P!ATD since it can finally rest.
Brendon Urie: Oh you care-
Not about you, *looks to the members that had to deal with his and the bodyguards shit* But you... You're finally free

Ngebahas Seputar Brendon Urie, hanya satu member Panic! at the Disco yang dulunya dipuja dan kini menjadi munafik, istilahnya Brendon is cancelled
Tumblr media
Sementara, di tahun yang sama, Dallas resmi juga meninggalkan band Panic! karena fokus membuat band baru yaitu I Don't Know How But They Found Me pada 2016.
Beginilah reaksi cuitan netizen lewat Twitter:
"My Chemical Romance belum merilis album tahun ini, jadi gue memutuskan untuk ngeblock Brendon."
Lanjut, ada juga reaksi cuitan netizen tersebut:
"Tanpa mengingat secara spesifik, gue ngeblock Brendon demi kesehatan mental diri gue"
Netizen menganalisis video flashback Brendon yang sedang bicara di depan penonton yang mayoritas perempuan remaja menggunakan kalimat yang rape jokes seperti, “If I see you after the show, I’m gonna f**k you. And I don’t care if you want it. I more care if you don’t want it because then I really want it.”
Setelah itu, Brendon juga bercanda di depan fans dengan bernada rasis seperti "I wish I was born Black, so I could wear the clothes I wear without getting made fun of."

Hey man - just out of curiosity since I haven’t really listened to Panic! since Vices and Virtues, what’s gone down with Urie? I know girls/girls/boys felt kinda shitty (IMO as a queer person) but that was a while ago. I really don’t care for the new stuff tbh but I was just curious. Cheers!
I’m not an expert or anything but one of the things people don’t like him for is the way he defended and continues to keep his ex-bodyguard Zack Hall as a friend despite the sexual misconduct allegations against him by Dallon’s wife Breezy. He was silent on the matter for 3 months before finally firing him but still has him as a friend.
Also he stole the lyrics of Girls/Girls/Boys I’m pretty sure lol don’t quote me on that one

Bodyguard IV: Vegas Lights (Chapter Seven) (B. Urie x Reader)
Tumblr media
"WE NEED TO RECONVENE UPSTAIRS. COME ON."
Brendon's words echoed in your head, yet failed to properly sink in. Your feet moved on their own accord, instinctively following in the steps of the agent ahead of you. The hotel's various entertainment areas and their accents faded into a swirl of blurred colours and patterns; you shut your eyes and pinched the bridge of your nose in hopes that it would recalibrate your vision.
It might have been all those tequila shots you'd taken with Ambrose, or the exceptional kiss you'd received a few moments earlier, but you were fairly certain that it was Brendon and his mesmerising, unnecessarily flirtatious performance that was responsible for your current state of disorientation.
A frown crept its way onto your face as you played back the last fifteen minutes in your mind – specifically, the parts where your bodyguard had gotten a bit too up close and personal with the hotel's female guests.
You were still following Brendon's lead, however your stride had slowed down enough so as to allow a couple feet of distance between the two of you. Sensing the change in proximity, the agent halted his movements and spun around to address you.
"Why the frown?"
Shaking your head, you avoided eye contact. "Just... thinking about your little... show."
His left eyebrow arched and there was a smirk playing on his lips. "You didn't like it?" he queried, feigning hurt, "It was for you."
Snapping your head back to look at him, you furrowed your brows and scoffed, stretching your arm out to gesture at the music lounge. "You sang to every girlin there."
"Yeah." He walked forward to minimize the distance between you and whispered lowly. "But where'd I end, though?"
With the intention of delivering a clever retort, you immediately opened your mouth to respond. Sadly for you, you couldn't think of a single thing to say in return, and instead resigned yourself to clicking your tongue at him irritatedly.
Satisfied with his little win, the brooding agent straightened himself up and smoothed his jacket. "Exactly. Besides..."
He started making his way to the elevator and you followed suit, leaning in slightly to ensure that you heard everything he was about to say.
"...not liked I danced with them. Unlike some people."
His voiced dropped to a low hum for that last sentence, but you caught it nontheless. You caught it, and you once again stopped dead in your tracks.
"What did you just say?"
"You heard me."
It was abundantly clear that his quip was in reference to the whole "went-out-to-a-karaoke-bar-and-let-Aaron-Ross-serenade-you" thing, and honestly, you were insanely annoyed that he had brought it up.
After all, pretending to be dead and disappearing for eleven months was far worse.
"Oh, I'm sorry," you scoffed, clutching at your chest and widening your eyes, "I wasn't aware that dancing is a crime."
"It isn't," he shook his head, then tilted it to the side and stuffed his hands into his pockets, "Unless you do it without me."
"Oh, is that so?" you mumbled, skewing your face mockingly as you proceeded to overtake the agent in heading for the elevator. "Well maybe, if you had beenthere..."
Holding up his hands in a silent plea for you to stop talking, Brendon resumed his stride and sidled up next to you. Now that he was close enough to do so, he spoke into your ear.
"I don't intend on ever making that mistake again, believe me."
The two of you stepped into the elevator, standing shoulder-to-shoulder after pressing the button for your floor.
"I knew you sang," you scoffed, "You tried to deny it all those times, but I knew."
"Obviously. I literally sang you back to sleep once. What did you think that was, sweetheart? A dream?"
The elevator doors opened with a ding and seconds later, Brendon slipped out and down the hallway, leaving you to gawk after him.
"You literally said- UGH!"
✧✧✧
Minutes later. Your and Brendon's hotel suite.
"...so to summarise," Rollins made a circle with his hands, signifying that his recount of the last hour was coming to a pinnacle, "the lead was a bust and we just wasted a perfectly good distraction technique on nothing."
From the other side of the suite, over by the bar cart, Ambrose piped up. "On the bright side, we did bust a drug operation." Drink in hand, the Hound nudged Brendon with his elbow and leaned in to mutter some words. "I swiped a couple grams, if you wanna have a party later."
Already annoyed due to the fact that no one had managed to get anywhere with this case, Brendon clenched his jaw and exhaled fumingly at the Lunatic's immaturity. Turning his head sharply, he delivered a glare so deadly that it could be felt all throughout the suite.
Stepping back, Ambrose held up his free hand in a show of surrender, raising his brows. "Kidding. Jesus, lighten up a bit."
"I'll lighten up when we finally find a lead that's an actual fucking lead," the agent growled, grabbing Ambrose's drink out of his hand and downing it before rubbing his hands over his face.
"That was the closest thing we've had," Reigns reminded everyone, shaking his head in disdain, "I can't believe weof all people are in a rut."
Sick of the heavy, pessimistic aura in the room, you stood up and clapped your hands together once. Making sure that you looked each man in the eye, you called them down.
"We are not in a rut. We've been in Vegas for all of what, three days? Not all missions are walks in the park – you guys of all people should know that."
You were met with silence and four downcast gazes, and so you continued.
"Today was a particularly draining one; we're all tired, not thinking clearly, and some of us are still slightly inebriated so," you made your way over to the bathroom and placed on hand on the doorframe as you finished addressing your teammates, "let's all just call it a night, get some rest and then discuss our next move in the morning, okay? Okay. Wonderful. Now get out of my room, I need to take a shower."
A resounding slam echoed around the room as you emphasised your point by shutting the bathroom door. The lock clicked and taking that as their final cue, the four agents shifted from their respective spots around the suite and headed for the exit.
Given that there was twenty feet and a thick plastered wall seperating you and your teammates, it wasn't at all possible for you to overhear any conversation that arose between them. Nevertheless, Brendon waited to hear the water spouting from the shower head before he started speaking.
"Since this case is clearly going nowhere slowly..." Brendon stopped in front of the door, running a hand through his hair before placing both hands on his hips. The Hounds ceased their steps and listened intently. "I'm gonna call Weekes. In the meantime, I want you guys to keep looking for Mason."
Ambrose made no effort to hide his disdain over the request, letting his body go limp as he expelled a throaty groan.
"Big brother duty again? Dude, we told you that he's dead."
Brendon responded with an icy glare. "You also told me that the kidnappers were operating from an underground lair here in the casino. So forgive me if I'm a bit untrusting of your sources and their intel."
"Fair enough."
Always the rational one, Rollins nodded his head and gave Brendon a firm pat on the back as reassurance.
"We'll handle it. Let us know what Weekes says."
Nodding, the brooding agent opened the door to allow his colleagues to leave, each of them mumbling goodnights as they did so. He locked the door, making sure that it was properly secure before moving off to grab another drink from the bar cart.
The pattering of water against shower tiles continued to filter through from the bathroom and concluding that you'd most likely still be in there for a while, Brendon decided it'd be best if he called HQ then.
He picked up the suit jacket strewn across a chair in the corner of the room and ruffled through the inside pockets in search of his phone. Once he found it, he walked over to the compact dining area, i.e. the most secluded part of the suite and tapped the screen a couple times to ring Dallon.
Setting it down on the small table, Brendon tooks sips of his whiskey as he waited for the techie to answer. There was complete silence in the suite, save for the distant pattering of the water from the shower and the trill of the phone; the sounds fell in and out of sync with one another, giving the agent something to listen to until the cheery voice of his comrade – accompanied by his hologram – pierced through the air.
"Hey, handsome! I was wondering when you'd call!"
Just barely managing to fight back a chuckle and a smile, Brendon cocked his head up in greeting.
"Hey, Weekes. Listen, everything has pretty much gone to shit over here. We've got no leads, no intel, nothing. So..."
It took a second for the penny to drop but once the techie fully caught on to what his brooding counterpart was insinuating, he dropped the Scooby-Doo mug he'd had in his hand. The broken pieces of ceramic and milky coffee painted the linoleum floor of the tech room in an unappealing mixture of browns and blues.
Scooting as close to his desk as the roller chair would allow, Dallon leaned in closer still as he readjusted the glasses in front of his wide eyes. Eyes that were sparkling with excitement and a hint of mischief.
"Are you saying what I think you're saying?" He was practically squealing, forcing Brendon to recoil and shut his eyes. "We're gonna do the-"
"Yes." The agent cut his colleague off, partly out of fear that he'd overspeak and say something he shouldn't and partly because he was still squealing. "I hate to say it but... we're in a rut, and this might be our only option."
Dallon's hologram cheered triumphantly. Brendon winced. The techie was far too invested in this, and that unsettled him a great deal. Especially since it was purely for the sake of the mission, and not for the reason Dallon was not-so-secretly vouching for.
"So," Brendon cleared his throat, tossing a quick glance over in the direction of the bedroom to make sure that you weren't out yet; you weren't, and he looked back to the hologram, "Can you get that suitcase here by morning?"
"How do you know me, bro?" Dallon scoffed, then leaned back in his chair and cracked his knuckles, "Already on its way."
✧✧✧
The next morning.
The tiny crack in the hotel's curtains allowed for rays of morning light to filter into the bedroom, illuminating the space in a soft glow. Your eyelids rose with ease, grateful to finally reopen after a good night's sleep. Stretching out your limbs, you shook off the remnants of your slumber.
You had gone to bed right after your shower the previous night, calling out a goodnight to Brendon as you crawled beneath the covers. A low mumble was all you'd received in response. He was hunched over his phone, busy with what was undoubtedly mission-related things; you assumed he'd come to bed as soon as he finished whatever it was he needed to do.
Looking over at the space next to you, a frown found its way onto your face. The bed looked completely untouched, not a crinkle in the bedding nor a dent in the pillow. Your fingers trailed along the crisp duvet, hoping that you would somehow feelhim – feel that he had been there – and that it would prove that your thoughts of him chosing to sleep on the sofa rather than next to you were nothing but pesky anxieties.
Sadly, you found no such reassurance.
Heaving a sad sigh, you rolled over to face the other side. Your eyes fixed on the compact bedside table – or more specifically, what was on top of it. The frown you  were wearing slowly morphed into a soft smile as you took in the sight of the still-steaming cup of coffee.
There was your reassurance.
While it was evident that he hadn't slept next to you, the familiar gesture of bringing you your morning coffee was proof enough that he cared.
Pushing yourself up into a sitting position, you called out to him. "Bren?"
Your voice was hoarse from sleep, and you cleared your throat while reaching over to pick up the mug. After taking a sip, you tried again.
"Brendon?"
No response. Knitting your brows together, you peeled back the covers and tentatively slid out of bed, trying not to spill any coffee. The complimentary hotel slippers laid by your feet; you slid them on and started for the living area of the suite.
There was no sign of your bodyguard, however there was a note on the coffee table. Picking it up, you read over the slanted handwriting.
'Needed to run a couple errands. Be back soon.
                                                                     -B'
"Errands?" you muttered, taking another sip of coffee as you reread the note.
It was odd that the usually mission-orientated agent would take time off to do personal things, which led you to conclude that whatever he was doing was somehow tied to the case. It was even more odd, then, that he hadn't informed you of what exactly the errands entailed.
Chalking it up to his lone-wolf, arrogant nature, you dropped the note back onto the coffee table and walked back to the bedroom. You picked up your cellphone from the side table and sat yourself on the edge of the bed, scrolling through your notifications while you slugged down the remainder of your coffee.
Not long after, you were headed for the bathroom to freshen up and get ready for the day. You shut and locked the door out of habit, ensuring your privacy despite the fact that you were alone in the suite. When you emerged from the bathroom a half hour later, though, you realised that that was no longer the case.
You stopped in your tracks when you saw the dress splayed across the made-up bed. Knitting your brows together, you approached the bed with cautious steps and an inquisitive gaze.
Now that you were close enough to properly examine the dress – which was covered in a transparent dress protector to preserve its delicateness – you were quite easily the most confused you had ever been.
"Uh... Brendon?"
"Heads up."
You spun around just in time to catch the airborne object he had tossed across the room. Clutching the bunch of tulle in both hands, you lowered it down to inspect it.
"What's this?" you asked, fondling the material as you tried to make sense of it.
"A veil." His words caused you to freeze, your eyes the only part of you that moved as you looked up at him. He nodded to the item of clothing on the bed. "And that's a dress. Get changed. We have an appointment."
Tilting your head, you gave the agent a skeptical look. "Where?"
"The altar."
"...why?"
"We're getting married."

sorry if this has been asked before but is there anywhere i can read what exactly brendon was "cancelled" for or like what made public opinion of him drop? i know the obvious is the last 2 albums being complete shit + bad blood btwn the previous members but i swear i remember reading he had allegations against him in 2020 which is why he kinda disappeared for a while and now that section is no longer on his wikipedia page
There were a string of allegations I feel were definitely a hoax perpetrated by one person -- they were very formulaic and all had a pastel pfp, string of numbers as a handle, and a generic firstname, and many of them just so happened to confirm ryden.
a number of videos of brendon making insensitive comments surfaced-- he said he supported being transracial in a periscope and didnt seem to understand what the word meant, he said he wished he was black so he could dress gangster, and he said something like "im gonna fuck every person in this room whether they want it or not." all of these videos were on average about 10 years old now.
the crux of the issue, IMO, was his enabling, participating in, and encouraging his bodyguard systematically bullying and harassing both fans and subordinates on the team. that is a horrific thing to do and the extent of the issue it got to was nuts. you should never, ever have to pay hundreds to go to a show of a band you love and experience the musician retweeting a photo of you taken without your knowledge by a member of staff mocking your weight. its illegal for bands to confiscate medications from disabled people but panics security was doing that. its fucking horrible and arguably illegal for zack to set a photo of his singer's subordinate's wife's breasts as his lockscreen and ask her for a handjob. its just so, so disgusting
obviously his beef with former members (dallon especially) played a role as well as the creative and commercial direction he took, but this was the main thing.
the fact that that happened was just ridiculous and awful and it wasnt being taken seriously or dealt with, and i think things escalated into people fabricating stories about brendon a pedophile rapist or whatever because a) people just wanted to get involved and get attention and b) people felt that this legitimately horrific and vile behavior being perpetrated on such a grand scale was not being taken seriously and people felt the need to drag up drama and videos from years prior or say they believed things that were categorically false.
additionally, there was an incident on livejournal in like 2006 where this girl claiming to be brendons ex wrote an open letter basically calling brendon a drug-obsessed asshole and a jerk, and she vaguely referenced him being into "beating" her and being called daddy in the bedroom, as well as something along the lines of him trying to get her super drunk and her vaguely accusing him of possibly trying to date rape her and vaguely saying he "tried to stick in in the wrong hole"
then she allegedly posted something that seemed to claim she had never written the letter and that a lot of it wasnt true and that a friend had posted it after she had confided some of what was in the letter to that friend?? and she wanted people to stop hating on both her and brendon and that he was a "nice kid"
the tone of the letter was more gossipy/drama-y???? , and it did make some other accusations like saying that brendon and ryan were in a gay relationship, ryan secretly hated him and tried to get her to sleep with him, and that brendon didnt last long in bed, and that brendons lack of ability to control his semen had destroyed multiple coffee tables.
sometimes the letter gets passed around as a serious rape allegation and it definitely paints brendon as a shitty person who treated her like shit and speaks to his view and treatment of women in general, and there are some persistent rumors that are hard to pin down that she has continued to say unflattering things about brendons behavior around women.
but i feel kind of weird referring to the letter as a straight up abuse/rape allegation, especially since it was phrased so vaguely and allegedly claimed to be not written and retracted by the supposed poster, and i think if you actually read it and know the context of the you understand what i mean.

@welikethebodyguard
i created on instagram along with 5 other girls, an account for Zack Hall.
Zack Hall is the body guard, stage and tour manager of the band Panic! At The Disco.
He’s a very good man. Sometimes he comes off as rude, but in reality that’s just his sense of humour, which most of us find hilarious.
Anyway, me and these girls felt like Zack doesn’t get enough recognition for the things he does, he also gets a lot of shit when something goes wrong with a concert or whatever and that’s bullshit.
So we created this account where people can send in stuff that they’d like to say to him, or send pictures, videos, whatever they want.
We started this account about maybe 10 hours ago and we’re not about to hit 600 followers, plus Zack’s wife, Kala, noticed us.
If you can share our account or send something for Zack, it will be deeply appreciated.

Zack Cloud Hall Part 2
Panic! at the Disco & Deep Dive
Disclaimer: This post is not to garner sympathy but rather to elicit a kind of understanding. Points being made are to paint a larger picture. I am not a mental health professional and am not diagnosing anyone in these posts, I am only speculating on what I know of mental health from research and my own personal experience. It is worth pointing out that all information in these posts are from Zack himself, Brendon Urie and Zack’s now wife Kala Macdonald.
Before I start the chapter on Panic! I want to go over a few things that are important details.
Zack met his first wife Carol while working at the paintball stores in LA before he even started driving for escorts, I mention this now because Carol will be a big topic during his employment with Panic!
It’s also important to note that due to Zack’s unhealthy relationship with his father growing up, a lot of his emotional maturity and coping mechanisms were toxic for most of his life.
That is until he met his first wife Carol and spent time with her father, Chuck… who became a better example for him.
After his job working security for escorts, Zack was approached by a friend who was a tour manager for the band at the time. Zack was making sometimes over 500$ a night driving for these girls, and would later be asked to stay on full time and train the new drivers. This was due to the fact that all of the women working there felt safer with Zack around than most of the other drivers. At the same time, Panic! was sky rocketing to the top of the charts and the tour manager was having trouble getting them out of venues and hotel rooms without mobs of fans trying to get close to them.
He ended up taking the job as Panic!’s security guard to get out of the danger of his previous job and also was under the impression he would be getting paid 325$ a night (spoiler he wasn’t) he started working for them on June 6, 2006 for 325 dollars a week! He talks about the current tour manager and how his inexperience ended up being a problem for the band (and the crew) because nothing was getting done. Zack explains that he couldn’t sit there any longer and watch things just not get done so he started hand washing and cleaning the bands stage clothes because nobody else was doing it and they were worn every single show night.
Zack talks about his first night with Panic! and how he was essentially just thrown in with little experience and had to take the hits as they came. Their dressing room was a separate building from the venue the first night and he had to walk the band out from the venue doors to the dressing room, which he described as “I think I need to get them from point A) to point B) without people touching them” he recounts putting a rope and having an interaction with a lady that was trying to tell him that he couldn’t tell them what to do and he responded “I’m their bodyguard” which actually caused the mob of people to back up and listen. He says that it took him years to engage in establishing authority without being rude. Which again, he was thrown into the job after working with much harsher social conditions so it was a big transition for him.
While Zack was trying to get used to his new position, he became friends with the band and hung out with them often. At this point fans began to know who he was, and it became a problem in his relationship with Carol (who was only his girlfriend at the time) he states that she would get jealous and accuse him of hooking up with fans during his time in Panic! which he denies throughout the entirety of their relationship. Over time Zack’s duties became more and more personal for the band themselves and his work load stopped being that of just security at venues. Zack was going with the band absolutely everywhere.
He recalls when Carol proposed to him as being sometime after a tour during Pretty. Odd. I believe this was after the Honda Civic Tour. The couple got married in 2010 or 2011 and Zack talks about how over time, the intimacy level decreased in their relationship. However they got along well and lived a pretty good life together in San Diego with their dogs. Zack still being the main security help for Panic! was working constantly, and Carol was consistently frustrated with him travelling all the time.
Throughout line up changes and band members leaving, the one thing that stayed consistent was Brendon and Zack. Over the years there was an unspoken bond between them and Brendon talks about how he knew they would be friends the moment they met.
One morning a few years after Carol and Zack got married, Zack came home from the Gospel Tour and decided to confront Carol about her increasingly strange behavior towards him. He recalls that she began to sob and proceeded to come out to him. This devastated Zack because he had been on and off with Carol for a decade at this point. There was no blame to be placed, there was no reasoning he could grieve without feeling guilty. He explains that he moved out almost immediately but took an apartment close by in case Carol needed support from him. All while he was grieving the loss of his relationship, and the conflicting feelings that came with it. He talks about going on long walks for hours and speaking on the phone with his friend Nicole (who is a therapist) he said those months were the hardest for him emotionally and that it took him a while to come to terms with losing who he thought was a life partner.
When he went back on tour with the band he was still very depressed. He talked about how he would tell the crew every morning “listen, I may be snappy with you guys sometimes for a little while, this is what I’m going through, I’m sorry, it’s never about you”
At the time, the band and crew were sharing a tour bus, and Zack talks about how he would hold his feelings inside all day and when he would go to sleep in his bunk he would cry every single night for weeks. He talks about having a heart to heart with Brendon on a periscope in 2015 stating “I’ve only hugged Brendon twice in my life, and one of them was when both of us were going through a really hard time” this was a reference to when Zack was going through his divorce & Brendon had just found out that his best friend and groomsman at his wedding stole over 150 thousand dollars from him over the period of 4 years. You can find the article here.
Zack stayed friends with his ex wife Carol after he grieved, and still spoke to both ex father and mother in law. Zack is now also friends with Carol’s new wife.
A lot of Zack’s humor & personality got him into trouble within the fandom when the band started picking up more fans and the social climate began to change. To understand this I’m going to talk about his primary and secondary socialization, with the lack of support from his parents, and their inexperience with raising children, Zack got a lot of his socialization from peers. (And let’s be real, a lot of us did)
Definitions:
Primary Socialization: Primary socialization in sociology is the period early in a person's life during which they initially learn and build themselves through experiences and interactions around them. (This is often the period of socialization that sticks with you throughout most of your life)
Secondary Socialization: Secondary socialization refers to the social learning that children undergo when they enter other social institutions, like school. Characteristics of the school, teachers, and the peer group all influence the socialization of children within school settings.
Considering Zack rarely went to school due to him going back and forth from his mothers and fathers he was unable to get a normal peer socialization. The characteristics he learned were from his siblings who also exhibited unhealthy coping mechanisms, and friends who may not have always been the right ones.
Many who grew up in the 90’s or 2000’s didn’t have the privilege of gentle, educated parenting, politically correct socialization and healthy coping mechanisms. Zack spent a majority of his early years in this societal climate. I bring this up because I think that it is worth noting that not everyone in this world was taught to respect each other. And I think that we need to start taking that into account before we judge bad jokes and ignorant comments.
Unfortunately the sex jokes have been going on for ages. & a majority of them are against women. The media portrayal of dirty, racist, and inappropriate jokes were at an all time high in the 90’s and anyone growing up in that era would surely feel that normalization. I would also like to point out that most of things I am informing to you all, are explanations not excuses. But I think we need to take into account that we are in a generation of shoot now ask questions later and that is harmful for our society. There is no room for redemption and I think that needs to end. The reason we are having all these conversations is to educate people. We must allow that growth and change in one another, I feel it’s imperative to keep our society going.
That being said, a lot of the jokes Zack or Brendon have made over the years are not okay. My only point is that a large chunk of them were normalized for years. People were taught that racist jokes were normal, misogynistic jokes were normal, fat shaming was normal. It’s horrible! Absolutely. Without a doubt. But it was shoved in your face so often that it was just NORMAL. and that is what we’re trying to change. That is what the new generation is trying to make better, as they should. But leave room for change, have forgiveness. Accept sincere apologies. Leave room for growth. It will make us better people even when we are wrong.
What Zack has done for Panic! Fans:
Front of the line meet and greets & gifts: Over the years Zack has brought fans back from the front of the line to meet the band, brought them stuff from the band to the line and taken gifts from fans to give to the band.
Northern Downpour Fan Club: Northern Downpour was a yearly payment of 30$ for exclusive news, meet and greets at every single show, entry to sound check, first in line Etc. Zack is the one that organized this.
Meeting fans in LA: Zack started to post where he would be at a certain time and would say the first person to show up would get exclusive old merch, memorabilia etc.
Fan mail: This is a huge one… not only would Zack bring fan mail back to Brendon from the line ups at shows; he also put together a P.O. Box. For fans to send Brendon fan mail. He would get thousands of letters, art, photos a week to this P.O. Box and Zack would sort through every bin before it even got to Brendon.
Here are some tweets:

I know some of you are going to say “wow he did his job? Good for him” well… no … Zack clearly went above and beyond his job description for fans and for Brendon personally.
PFTW TOUR House of Memories Lounge: Ticketmaster is bullshit, we can all agree to this, yeah? They make their front row seating at arenas so expensive you have to sell and arm and a leg to get them. The top tier VIP package was a tour backstage and the House of Memories lounge which was also set up by Zack FOR fans, so they could have an experience worth the ticket price ticketmaster was selling them. The second VIP package was House of Memories lounge and exclusive merch (similar to Northern Downpour) without the meet and greets. He would also tell people (secretly) to keep their vip lanyards and use them for the next show they were at so they could get more out of their experience.
Here are some photos of the House of Memories lounge. All items were taken out of storage and presented in cases

Death of a Bachelor Tour ‘The Death Walk’ Zack facilitated The Death Walk on DOAB North American Tour. The idea was Brendon’s but Zack and other security guard Sam were the two executing the walk while protecting Brendon. The death walk was a part of the show where Brendon would walk from his piano back to the front of the stage through the crowd to interact with fans (all while *you guessed it* singing his hit song Death of a Bachelor) Zack claims he called this the Death walk because of the song title but I think it’s equally because of how absolutely chaotic it was. Here is a video of Brendon talking about fans being extremely inappropriate during the Death Walk by grabbing him, licking him, touching him, kissing his neck Etc.
Seating upgrades: starting for arena tours , every show, Zack would go through to the back of the crowd into the higher up sections and give out floor tickets to random fans. This is pretty self explanatory, there were extra seats at the front. Another thing he absolutely didn’t have to do, but did for fans.
Kinky Boots Stage Door: in 2017 Brendon took on Broadway by starring as Charlie Price in the hit musical Kinky Boots. Before he would come out to stage door to sign for fans (over a hundred every night would be waiting) Zack would give the run down for safety by not pushing the barricade. He would also tell fans to please not scream at Brendon to try to get his attention when he came out as it triggers Brendon’s anxiety. The same speech every single night to ensure safety and it went well for the most part until the end on a particularly bad night of people pushing the barricade and shouting. You can see Brendon’s tweet announcing the end of stage door below.
Tumblr media
The Firing of Kenny Harris: in 2018 right after their first leg of PFTW tour, Kenny Harris (the guitarist at the time) was accused of inappropriate behavior with fans online using Snapchat. There is an article you can read here. Fans made Zack aware via Twitter and Instagram.
Edit for clarification: Many fans were messaging and tweeting Zack the day before the announcement of Kenny’s departure. This is an assumption by me that it was dealt with by Zack because he was generally the one who dealt with everything in regards to fans
There are many more examples of Zack going above and beyond his job description for fans but these are the most prominent ones in my eyes. Now let’s talk about what exactly Zack does for Brendon personally.
Brendon:
Maintenance work on his house
Moving
Grocery shopping
Accompanying him to all events and outings including but not limited to (Award shows, Disneyland, Movies, Restaurants)
Accompanying his wife Sarah for outings as well
Walking his dogs while on tour
Helping production when they were behind
Dealing with Stalkers, crazed fans, internet drama & public image. Any time that something would happen online it would never be Brendon’s manager Scott Nagelberg who dealt with it, it would ALWAYS be Zack. People showing up at their house was dealt with by Zack, fans posting inappropriate and creepy things was dealt with by Zack. This isn’t exactly a part of his job description and would normally be put on their manager, social media manager or publicist. However, that never happened.
Dealing with questions that could just be googled.
Dealing with people being angry at him for doing his job.
Doing extra maintenance work for the band members ei: helping now bassist Nicole Row move into another apartment.
All of this is scratching the surface of what this job really meant to Zack himself. He has vocalized many times that he loves his job, loves helping his friends and is a care taker. It’s not a stretch to assume that he’s learnt a lot over the years about not only how to approach certain situations in a gentle manner, but how to deal with high stress and work overload with ease.
Thank you for reading part 2, part 3 will be about the jokes he’s made, and the allegations from 2020.
Don’t forget to share with people and keep them in the know.
Most information about Zack was taken from his wife Kala Macdonalds podcast: https://open.spotify.com/episode/0BmaeEllTuSK8DcWD0LXlk?si=Kn0T1phnRLidohuzAaW-2Q
