Not a productivity day but a good day. I was very excited to spend the day at the book fair with my mom. It was really fun even though there were so many people (I don't deal very well with v crowded places but even though I had a couple of unpleasant head spins I am happy with how I managed). I was hoping to find a specific book I didn't find, but I will get it elsewhere. I did find some pretty random gems like the graphic novel about Mary Shelly and the book about hobbits, and I am so excited to read them!

Productivity:

Finished reading De Profundis by Oscar Wilde

Listened to the latest re:dracula episode

Continued listening to old episodes of the books unbound podcast

Practiced Irish on duolingo

Self care:

Read first thing in the morning

Book fair with mom! (It was very good because I spent quality time with my mom, I got out of the house and faced one of my fears which is crowded spaces and of course I got myself some new books which is always the best kind of self care)

mini haul ✨️ love when book covers conveniently end up matching. i've been wanting to read 'de profundis' for literal years, i've just never encountered this specific edition in a store before (i'm vain, and i need the pretty edition of a book always)

also, for music lovers, i got my hands on the new chelsea wolfe album!! obsessed doesn't cover it.

Yet another book haul…

I need to stop going to my local bookstore on my day off… but in my defense, these first two were books that I had ordered last time I was there and they just came in, so I did have a reason to go!

I adored The Lumberjack’s Dove when I read it last month, and I knew I needed my own copy of it, and when I also found out that GennaRose Nethercott was releasing a short story collection this year, I absolutely had to get my hands on it!!! I can’t wait to get into it soon!

And then I went to check out the sci fi/fantasy section and, well…

When I saw Gideon, Harrow, and Nona (all in my beloved paperback!!!) over there, I just had to get them. I haven’t finished Nona yet, but I KNOW I’m going to love it and I’ll want to reread all of them eventually. I’m fully on the Locked Tomb train, and I’m riding it wherever it takes us!!!

I definitely have to steer clear of the bookstore for a little while now…
