So I finally finished it! My hand bound copy of Got A Melancholic Temperament (that’s what they said to me) by @coldtomyflash (aka RedHead on ao3).
It’s not perfect, I messed up on the inside spine a little bit, but I’m really happy with how the cover and the little window for the title came out.

The fact that years and years ago I trained myself in to be fluent in both the trademark GF substitution cipher and -3 caesar cipher will now finally come in handy, and not just to scrawl encrypted notes onto the margins of my reports

books i have that are probably leitners
a foundation trilogy anthology my grandpa gifted to me on a road trip. it’s old and has my aunt’s name in a bookmark
a copy of library of souls from the ms peregrine’s home series’s found in a little free library in a nursing home. it appears to have been taken out of a real library
wildflowers every child should know, over 100 years old and there are names, dates, and places written in it. found at a vintage store
reason at work, a philosophy textbook i found in a little free library with dozens of annotations and notes
partially illustrated full grimm brothers collection that has weird water damage, purchased at a tiny book store up north in my state
not technically a book but a 1952 planner that i looked into and researched. the owner was a semi-famous restaurant owner in my city found at a vintage store

[switches hands, strikes another pose] like i know there's no way to subtly hold a burning horseshoe with your bare hands but there are certainly less flamboyant ways to go about it

Do you have this typo on the first page of your murtagh? If I was Paolini I’d be having words with my editor 👀

I legit sat there and puzzled over it for a solid five minutes like “???why are we talking about divers??? i didn’t realize pearls were so crucial to the Alagaësian economy. also this grammar is whack” and then I figured it out.

Big milestone reached on His Impossible Brushstrokes
As of a few days ago, I finally got to and wrote the final scene of His Impossible Brushstrokes. While this is a momentous occasion, I can't claim to be done with the first draft as I need to write the chapter(s) that I skipped due to being stuck at them. I hope having put what these chapters are supposed to lead to in writing will make the process a bit easier, but I am not prepared to celebrate just yet.
