Now that brambleclaw and squirrelflight aren't mates, how would Alderheart and Sparkpelt being born? Most AUs (not saying those aus are bad) just have Bramblestar as a nothing character either as a villain with no personality or forgettable, with the personlity of wheat bread "man wife"

A lot of Bramnleclaw's character in/is about Squirrelflight and their love triangle with Ashfur. I can't really see (again no offense to you. Just airing my thoughts) as him being nothing character, if he isn't her mate than how would TBC happen or would that series never happen because Ashfur or Brambleclaw aren't mates with Squirrelflight. How would plotpointd such as his relationship with firestar would become? It would be jus them as adoptive siblings?

i’ve been thinking about this! basically, squilf would replace leafpool in the forbidden romance plot with crowfeather. during tpb, all of squilf’s romance will be with crowfeather. we get his pov during the journey, where he will be close with feathertail but crushing on squirrelpaw. we get squilf’s pov when they get home, where we can hear her internal debates over her feelings about crowpaw and missing him. she is attached to brambleshade (brambleclaw), but in a sibling way. in my head, firestar is a pseudo-dad to bramble, so a sibling dynamic makes sense. however, this isn’t reciprocated the same way. bramble grows to be in love with squirrelflight.

in twilight, squirrel and crow debate leaving, but decide against it and amicably agree to split. at the same time, leafpool is having the same issue with mothwing — mothwing cares little about the warrior code, and would much rather leave the clans and live their lives in peace, with a bonus of the fact that hawkfrost would never follow her and she’d be free of him. they run away, but come back just in time, like the leafcrow romance in canon.

as a note, because tc doesn’t share borders with rc, they had no idea it was mothwing that leafpool ran away with.

afterward, in sunset, squirrelflight grows closer to bramble and ashfur is scorned, much like in canon. she realizes he assumes she’s in love with bramble, and she lets this happen to dissuade him from trying to “win” her back. she feels safe doing this, because she assumes her sibling feelings towards bramble are the same from his side.

(note: squilf did date ashfur while she was arguing with bramble, but at first it was just friendship. she thought he’d make a great mate, and she could forget about crowfeather and maybe even have kits. but as he grows more controlling, she breaks up with him. soon after, she reconciles with bramble and ashfur takes this as badly as possible.)

after the whole saving her dad thing, squirrelflight is delighted. (side note again: bramble does become deputy, because longtail retires early. longstar would be too good of a leader, we need a shit one, for plot reasons.) bramble is delighted, because he thinks this means she loves him “again”. leafpool had no idea about the crowfeather thing, and tells squilf about the dream starclan sent of squilf and bramble walking side by side. squilf takes this to mean starclan wants her and bramble as mates (they absolutely do, the meddling weirdos), but with the way she feels about him? she isn’t fond of the idea. however, at the book’s end, leafpool tells her she’s pregnant. squilf knows exactly who’s they are — and she is both petrified and delighted. it’s complicated situation, she’s so overjoyed to have her love’s kits, but he will never know them and the clan will be suspicious. everyone knows she was courting ashfur but spends all her time with bramble now, so they’ll assume it’s one of theirs. so will the two cats in question. if she refuses to say who, it’ll be very obvious their father is not thunderclan. she tells this much to leafpool, who advises her to follow starclan’s wish and become bramble’s mate, for real. squilf tries to convince herself this will be okay, because it’s what starclan wants.

later, leafpool tells her she’s carrying mothwing’s kits, and they (TOGETHER) devise the plan to have squilf raise them, which will be easy because she’ll actually have milk here. bramble is over the moon at the news of kits, and squilf is dying inside. it’d be a depressing inner monologue, her trying to convince herself she can be happy like this.

leafpool fakes a starclan vision, saying squirrelflight must visit the moonpool immediately, for plot reasons. squilf gives birth up there, and crow stumbles upon them. there’s a unique herb growing in the cave that he was sent to retrieve for his “mate” (they’ve come to an agreement: crow takes night as his mate to look loyal, and the kits she has won’t appear as if they were fathered by a rogue, like they actually were), nightcloud, who’s about to give birth. he sees squilf’s kits, they get emotional and sappy. there’s two kits, unnamed. together, they name them hollykit and breezekit, and crow takes breezekit (the one out of rhe two without red on him) back to wc to be raised by nightcloud with her kits. he’ll blend right in with the litter.

a few hours later, leafpool gives birth to jaykit, lionkit (still haven’t decided his name change), and dovekit. after another day, a tc patrol comes to get them, wondering what took them so long, surprised to find squirrelflight’s four kits! they carry ‘em home, and squilf settles in the nursery, fussed over by brambleshade. about a week later, dovekit dies, and squilf is heartbroken. she grows listless and finds it hard to take care of her remaining kits, but later recovers and is a great mom.

power of three goes pretty close to canon, major plot wise. hollyleaf is not a member of the three, but it makes SENSE bc she wasn’t actuallt part of the three’s litter. dovekit was, who was later reincarnated into whitewing’s kit, dovekit, in order for the prophecy to be fulfilled. for the fire scene, it goes the same mostly, squilf claiming they aren’t her kits, ashfur says idc you love them anyway. i think i may have firestar save them from ashfur here, losing his final life. after the fire, squilf admits that hollyleaf is her kit, but the other two aren’t. hollyleaf pries the whole story out of leafpool, and goes STRAIGHT to brambleshade, before he goes to receive his nine lives. he thanks her for telling him, and he is heartbroken (because, apparently, his wife never loved him.) and furious. none of his kits were his, some of them were even leafpool’s! after he’s made bramblestar, he appoints hollyleaf as his deputy, citing that she’s the only one he can trust. things go to shit, sol, hollyleaf snaps and kills ashfur, hollyleaf tells the clans everything, including the prophecy, etc etc. hollyleaf dies, killed by the falling rocks in the tunnels. her role in the great battle stays the same, as does firestar’s, bc their ghosts can still kick ass.

after this, during omen of the stars, we see bramble actively punishing squirrelflight. everything is shit. i don’t know who i’ll have him pick as deputy, but they’ll die during the flood of bramblestar’s storm. jessy happens, etc etc, squilf and him make up. she apologizes, and he apologizes, but he kinda makes it about him, hmmm….

anyway, spark and alder are bramblesquirrel kits still. i haven’t thought about major plot for avos yet, i’ve barely thought about pot and oots. but, squilf is made deputy, and the broken code is a thing. bramblestar is freed of rhe possession, but there will be a scene where squirrelcrow have a Moment and bramblestar loses his shit. he accuses her of betraying him, of being cruel and evil, yada yada. brambleshade is a little weird, maybe kinda vindictive, but bramblestar is out of his mind. the sheer amount of power he has and his desire to use it against her is dangerous. he is very clearly an evil person, despite the sympathies he has. anyway, bramblestar tries to exile her, but spark stops him. she, and the clan, are OVER bramblestar, who was just as bad a leader as the imposter. he is stripped of his name and lives via rhe new warrior code rule, and the clan watches in horror as he loses all but his last life in real time. he’s moved to the medicine den. meanwhile, squilf becomes a star, and appoints ivyclaw (ivypool) her deputy. she gives brambleshade the option of leaving the clan or retiring, and he hobbles his old ass to the elder’s den.

after all this, crowfeather decides to join thunderclan, and squirrelstar happily accepts him, daring anyone to argue. they get their happily ever after, and it’s very sweet. maybe breeze even comes with his dad, tired of his clan’s scorn? regardless, it’s a very awkward time for nightheart watching his grandad spit obscenities at his step-grandad. wild.

I don’t think I’ve really mentioned it yet but alongside the leader lineage challenge I’m running I’ve also been doing the same with the medicine cat and mediator positions, so Mountaintuft and Lupineclover both inherited their positions from their parents and will pass them on to their kits, while Shinedawn and Flutterwhisker chose to train as medicine cats and won’t pass their positions on to anyone.

-Scorchstar somewhat unwillingly inherited the leadership from his mother, Birchstar, when she died of old age. He has two viable heirs, Shadowfade, the current deputy, his other biological son Stormfeather. He is mates with Mountaintuft and Shinedawn.

-Shadowfade stands to inherit the leadership from his father Scorchstar, but has no heirs of his own so far. His mate Larkheart died from a snake bite and he hasn’t chosen another yet.

-Mountaintuft inherited her position as Lead Healer from her father Coldtuft. She has 4 viable heirs, her 1st litter of Goldjump and Fogfur, as well as her second litter of Shadowfade and Stormfeather. She is mates with Scorchstar and Shinedawn.

-Shinedawn chose to train as a medicine cat after his sister Shimmerkit died of kitten cough at 4 moons old. He is mates with Scorchstar and Mountaintuft.

-Flutterwhisker decided to train as a medicine cat because as the youngest of 21 kits, how else was she supposed to get any attention? She is currently mates with a she-cat named Rhymequill, with whom she has several adopted kits.

-Lupineclover inherited the position of mediator from his mother, Seedshock, only a few moons ago. He had a mate, Fishhawk, and an heir, Brambleshade, but they both died shortly before him becoming mediator, leaving him without an heir. He and his new mate Breezefreckle, however, are hoping to soon remedy this.

At only 17 moons old, Daisystar has big paws to fill after her father's disappearance. She was chosen as deputy by the Stars-- or so Sparrowstar said-- and is still training her first apprentice all while having to learn the ropes of leadership. Before she became leader, she was often seen with a toothy grin and a pawful of jokes and terrible puns. Now, it seems, she hardly smiles at all.

Rattlepaw's mentor & aunt.

A charming senior warrior and newly made deputy, Heartsilk is kind and charismatic. She takes to deputyship as easily as a duck takes to water, doling out patrols and giving advice as needed. It helps that most TwilightClan cats enjoy his company, even if he does make some terrible jokes. She is Rattlepaw's mentor and aunt, taking over for her previous mentor, Stonefang, after he went missing.

Seedsight

Despite being troubled with the recent disappearances and a few cryptic messages from the Stars, Seedsight manages to keep his head high and a bright smile on their face. They always have a kind word to share or advice to give to any cat who needs it. Lately, he's been seen at Daisystar's side more often than not, discussing something in hushed tones.

Daisystar's uncle.

Crestedfrost has had his fair share of life, but has never seen anything like this. He tries to recall stories from his kithood about monsters and myths, but the memories slip from his mind like sand. He works closely with Heartsilk to keep things running smoothly.

Fennelspeckle

A spirited warrior with a rebellious streak. He's spent the last 25 moons of his warriorship playing pranks and causing mischief wherever he goes. When he's not getting into hijinks, he likes to play with kits and repair dens. He seems undeterred by the strange goings-on.

Canarykit

She/Her | Kit | Unsure

A young kit under Saltflower's care. She was found in the midst of the territory with no family in sight, and spends her days watching the warriors work with wide eyes. She enjoys playing games with Fennelspeckle and bossing him around.

A rambunctious apprentice who just wants to figure out what's going on. Nobody seems to know anything, and it bothers her sooo bad! She loves the company of her family and likes playing with Canarykit, even if she's a bit odd.

TwilightClan's former leader and Daisystar's father. Sparrowstar was a fair leader, albeit grouchy at times and aggressively maintained TwilightClan's borders even in times of peace. He went missing one night two moons before after going on a nightly walk alone and was never found.

Rattlepaw's former mentor. He was a stern tom who planned to become a miner after Rattlepaw gained her warrior name. He will never get to see that day.

Ivyheart & Addertail

Rattlepaw's Mother & Father

Rattlepaw's parents, both warriors. Ivyheart is passionate, snarky, and fiercely protective of her family. She's kept a closer eye on Rattlepaw for the last few moons. Addertail is her mellow counterpart, but loves his family all the same. He's the resident chef of the Clan, tending to the firepit and making meals during holidays and special occasions.

Pinefrost

Pinefrost oversees all other miners as they work. Lately, he's been reporting to Daisystar about troubling whispers his miners have heard down in the tunnels. Miners seemed to have suffered the most losses as strange cave-ins and disappearances tally up over the moons.

Brambleshade, medicine cat of ThunderClan

The elderly medicine cat of ThunderClan, Brambleshade has been healing his clan since before Adderstar was leader. He is not grumpy like most of the elders, instead he is extremely gentle and considerate of others, especially his apprentice Sedgepaw. He takes the utmost care with all of his patients, and is well respected in his Clan.

☀️this really isn't a request for an AU, but i really wanna see more of your AU on Tawnypelt and brackenfur becoming mates. I really love Bracken x Sorrel, but Tawny x Bracken... i need to know more about it lol. I'm intrigued XD

I can give you some headcanons for the AU if that’s what ya like :)

the first friend Tawnypaw makes outside of Brackenfur is Ashpaw. Fernpaw is a sweetheart but sometimes she’s too sweet and Tawnypaw wants somebody to wrestle with. She does eventually become close to both of them.

There are, of course, those who are still weary around Tawnypaw. It takes Brightheart a while to look at her and not see the cat who lured dogs into ThunderClan; the Elders whisper that blood is blood. She does eventually prove them all wrong.

Bramblepaw’s warrior name is Brambleshade. 

After doing such a great job mentoring Tawnyheart, Brackenfur is given Shrewpaw as his next apprentice. Tawnyheart likes to tag along with them so that she is prepared for her first apprentice, and they make sure he never steps foot onto the thunderpath. 

And since Shrewpaw lives, guess who eventually becomes mates with Squirrelflight (Tawnyheart’s first apprentice!)

Since Bracken/Sorrel obviously doesn’t happen here, instead she becomes mates with Ashfur who does not go crazy, hallelujah!

Tawnyheart and Goldenflower always remain very close. They go hunting together often and as Goldenflower gets up in her years, they enjoy sunbathing at Sunningrocks together.

She’s never really thought about kits before. But one day, after she becomes deputy, Brackenfur starts to bring it up. He’s always wanted a family, and he knows that Tawnyheart would be a wonderful mother. It days some persisting, but Tawnyheart eventually agrees.

And Brackenfur is right; she’s a wonderful mother. She loves her single she-kit with a fierceness that she’s never felt in battle, and sometimes that love is so overwhelming that it scares her. 

They agree to name her Flowerkit, in honor of Goldenflower.

When Firestar looses his final life, ThunderClan is passed onto her. Tawnystar is a strong leader, who loves this Clan like she never thought she could.

Her deputy is Rosepetal. heck yeah.

Does our girl tawnypelt recieve more attention? I just feel like she deserves more

on the journey, YES, but afterward i’m not too sure what to do with her? like after that arc. bc during the arc she’ll have a pov and a large role, plus a huge part in brambleshade’s pov bc in my au, she trains with tigerstar for a bit. which sounds odd, but let me explain haha

in canon, tawny rejects any connection to her dad, but joins his clan and names one of her kits after him. which is wild. which i will be changing bc two tigerstars is too much.

so, i’m thinking tawny is driven from thunderclan by all the accusations and assumptions about her character, straight into her dad’s evil ass paws. yea he’s awful, but he’s good to his kids. if only to serve a purpose. when he dies, she even kinda misses him after. this leads to the new prophecy — her big thing, like brambleshade, is showing that she’s loyal to her clan. however, she also cares a LOT about her family and her connection to them. she and bramble hang out a lot on the journey. when she finds out about hawk and moth, she attemps to connect with them. hawkfrost accepts at first, and moth awkwardly kinda accept-declines. like: ywah sure id love to be sisters! (never talks to her again)

tawny would know tigerstar is bad, of course. but her memories of him are good, and she knows he’s strong. so when he offers to train her, she says yeah. she gains skill and power, but when tigerstar starts talking about setting her up as leader she gets out. she wants strength, not leadership. she wants to be a good warrior, not anything more. unlike hawk and bramble, her ambitions do not look to “taking over” the clan. after she leaves, hawk refuses to talk to her, and she calls bramble a doofus for staying.

she kinda got her good memories of tigerstar soured with the cruel way he talked to her, so she completely distances herself from him.

when she has kits, she most certainly does not name her tiger-clone baby tigerkit lol. idk what else yet, but he will be different!!

otherwise, though, i just don’t know what to do with her. in the current arc we finally have another shadowclan pov, but she’s decrepit by then lmfao. and in avos, we have needletail, but from my memory needletail leaves shadowclan for darktail pretty quick. so unfortunately i think she’s left to be relegated to badass background character. if anyone has any ideas for her, let me know!

Acornpaw, apprentice of ShadowClan. Daughter to Brambleshade and Oakbranch, sister to Jaypaw and Hailpaw.

Acornpaw has a lot of great names in her family line. Her mother, Brambleshade, is deputy, and her father is one of Sandstar’s most trusted senior warriors. Her parents take their duties very seriously, and so do her siblings.

Acornpaw thinks they’re all pretty full of it.

Mischievous by nature, Acornpaw has always loved pulling pranks on her Clanmates, and it’s given her something of a reputation. Last week she pretended to trip into the stream. Yesterday she made a fake bee and stuck it in Hailpaw’s nest. Giving her camp tasks only backfires, as she’s just as likely to stick something unpleasant into someone’s moss. Despite this, Acornpaw isn’t mean or cruel, and none of her pranks are inherently hurtful. She just loves to smile, and thinks her family and friends could stand to do it a little more. 

After a bad earthquake leaves her missing a tail and stuck in WindClan, Acornpaw must learn to adjust in a world turned upside down- and meet a new, equally silly friend along the way.

Last night, I designed some pharoga hypokits using these warrior cats au designs. 

They are not canon to or possible in the warrior cats au propor, I just wanted to design some kits. 

The kits are pictured here at about 4 or 5 months old, so not quite apprentice-aged but not newborn either.

For each of the kits, I used a blend of the bluish black in Erik/Brambleshade’s fur and the brownish black of Nadir/Cindercloud’s fur. All have some degree of white-spotting, since Brambleshade has a tuxedo pattern, but I varied the degree and kept it under half, since Cindercloud has a solid coat.

To Brambleshade’s relief were these kits canon, none of them have any immediately visible disfigurements, with Adderkit’s slightly crooked jaw that is only noticeable if you look closely coming the closest. 

Adderkit is long and slender, a trait he inherited from Brambleshade, but he also has Cindercloud’s lynx-like cheek tufts and a bit of chest floof. His ears are similarly shaped to Brambleshade’s, and his eyes are a blend between Brambleshade’s yellow and Cindercloud’s brown.

Adderkit is very energetic, fast, and agile. He’s very playful and often gets into trouble with his games. Thankfully, his dads are usually there to bail him out so he doesn’t get too hurt. He’ll probably be really good at catching prey when he gets older, but for now he’s just a handful.

Adderkit’s adult name will be Adderpounce.

Nightkit is fairly bulky, combining Cindercloud’s stocky, muscular build with Brambleshade’s sheer size. He has Cindercloud’s ear shape and chin tuft, as well as tufts on his legs. He isn’t super fluffy, but has a bit of a mane running down the back of his neck that terminates just behind his front legs. He has the same fluffy tail as Cindercloud, as well as his brown eyes.

Nightkit, being the largest, is very protective of his siblings and will personally fight any cat who picks on either of them. Like Brambleshade, he often experiences mood swings.

Nightkit’s adult name will be Nightheart.

Owlkit is the fluffiest of the bunch, their extremely long fur hiding the thin, sinewy build they inherited from Brambleshade. Their ears are a halfway point between their parents’, as is their tail. Like Brambleshade, Owlkit has golden eyes, but they inherited their roundness from Cindercloud. Owlkit also has the least amount of white-spotting as their siblings, only having white paws.

Owlkit is very quiet. To the point that other cats sometimes worry that they’re not quite there. But Owlkit is actually very observant. Just, very quiet and contemplative. When they do speak, their voice is very soft with an almost songlike quality to it, and their words are chosen carefully for their meaning.

Owlkit’s adult name will be Owldusk.
