I think the reason Guilty Gear in particular tends to resonate with trans people is because it consistently champions themes of recklessly being yourself and living freely. Obviously there's canonically genderqueer characters like Bridget and Testament and that representation draws queer people in, but the reason they're here in the first place is because of those themes.
The characters all have things they want to break free from, most often societal obligations, and many of them have succeeded in this by the time Strive takes place, having become happy, actualized people. When you listen to the soundtrack, you get rock ballad after rock ballad about wanting to do things your own way, and be yourself. At its very core, Guilty Gear is a game that's in love with the idea of people finding themselves. Heck, the main character has the word "free" literally written on his outfit.
It's more punk than Street Fighter, more optimistic than Mortal Kombat, more relatable than Tekken. And the music slaps, too.

Time to make an updated post on the Guilty Gear artwork I've made up to this point!
First things, gotta include Bridget and Elphelt since these were made this year in 2023. Baiken, Testement, and Giovanna were done back in 2022. I think I'd like to do a Jack-O illustration at some point, and a friend of mine wants to help fund a Ramlethal print, so those might be coming up in the future at some point.
I've made some updates to the chibis as well to include a handful of the male cast! A few noteworthy mentions include an Axl that was inspired by an animation that my friend DoovadHohdan made, a Potemkin that works as a Pot Buster when you use it as a sticker on another sticker, as well as the husbandos in general being paired with plushies of their partners (well, missing Nago and Elphelt because that wasn't a thing at the time)
Tumblr media
A little after the Elphelt illustration I also made an Elphelt chibi as well! This one will be double-sided once I convert it to a charm~
Tumblr media
Finally, a sneak peak at something that isn't Strive related...well, not yet, at least (maybe). Here's a value comp for an ABA illustration I'm working on based on her Accent Core design! Hoping she makes it into Strive at some point.
Tumblr media
I might want to explore doing some Accent Core related artwork in the future. Accent Core is a lot closer to the point of when I first got into the series in my middle school/highschool days, and there are some designs from the older games that are still hecking rad. Plus the music is awesome :D
It's kind of funny; I have to confess that I actually don't play Strive. Truth be told, the GGST movement and limited combo structure never clicked with me when the game first came out (and I was always more of a 3D fighter guy for gameplay with games like Tekken and Soul Calibur). And even though I am pretty sure I would actually thoroughly enjoy playing I-No and Elphelt with the season 3 changes, I just don't really do as much gaming these days since I'm more enamored with making art (and a few other things like biking). Plus I'm kind of just waiting for Tekken 8 at this point (dear god I hope the online is good just this one time god).
But as an artist? You bet your butt I hecking love coming back to Guilty Gear. I've been a fan of the series since the early 2000s (back when I stumbled across an abandonware PC version of Guilty Gear X and became sold on the series). The characters from this series check a lot of boxes for things I love to draw, from the way they are designed and all of their classic rock references all the way down to their zany personalities and backstories. And I feel like Guilty Gear is really special in this regard for me. Even though I'd rather play other fighting games (like Tekken or maybe even SF6), Guilty Gear is probably the one fighting game fandom I want to do art of the most.
If you are a Guilty Gear fan stumbling across this art collection post, hope you are enjoying the art! I will enjoy the series vicariously through you as I get back to working on some Tekken 8 artwork for Frosty Faustings, lmao. And if you're someone who is new to the series, give Strive a try! It's neat and the characters are great.

The Trembling Transgirl of the week (Thursday) is...
Bridget from Guilty Gear! (canon transgirl)
Tumblr media
Bridget made her first appearance in Guilty Gear X2, third game of the Guilty Gear series. Back then, she was presented as a boy who likes to dress cute, and basically was 'the cute character', to differ the games cast
Tumblr media
(Bridget in Guilty Gear X2)
Bridget was born with her twin brother in a town where it was belived that two identical twins bring bad luck, so her parents have raised her as a female, which bridget didn't mind, but her parents were sad about it, so to make them happy she started to go hunting like a man.
Tumblr media
In Guilty Gear Strive, after fulfilling her original goal, she starts to search for a new purpose. She comes to the realization that she doesn't want to be a man, and after some words of encouragement she announces that she is a girl.
Tumblr media
When fighting, she uses her yo-yo and her oversized, mechanic teddy bear Roger, and that applies to all the guilty gear games she appears in
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
buh-bye!
And that's our Trembling Transgirl of this week (Thursday), see you again next week (Thursday)!
You can send me requests for TTTotwT (The Trembling Transgirl of the week (Thursday))!
Reposts are much appreciated!

I'm gonna share some Guilty Gear LGBTQ+ "headcanons" that are most likely canon. Most of these go off of the idea that Elphelt's Magnum Wedding Instakill (MW) doesn't override sexuality.
Despite my claims of these being most likely canon, most things here are not directly confirmed by Daisuke Ishiwatari, ArcSystem Works, or any other individuals involved with the making of these characters or the Guilty Gear franchise and the following should still be taken as headcanon as these are my readings of certain things I've found in the games. You have been advised.
May - Bisexual, possibly confused lesbian - She does, in fact, fall in love with Elphelt here, but has a thing for Johnny, possibly. The thing with Johnny is that she might not actually have a crush on him. From my own experiences, it's possible that May could be overly obsessed with Johnny, and may be misunderstanding her obsession and hyper fixation on him as a romantic interest in him. This idea also makes the whole Johnny and May thing less creepy as Johnny is her dad, and, I believe is supported by one of MW lines being "C-Could this be romance?! Oh my gosh!" implying that how she feels for Elphelt during Magnum Wedding is different from how she feels for Johnny, possibly even completely redefining romance for her, which is pretty huge for someone who's been seemingly romantically attracted to someone for years.
Millia - Bisexual, possible preference for women - She 100% had romantic and sexual feelings for Zato, which he manipulated prior to his death. Because of the sexual manipulation from Zato, it seems that she is not keen on being involved with a man again in any way. However, in MW, she falls in love with Elphelt, even going as far as to say "Have I chosen the yuri route..?" This doesn't really explain the "preference to women" part of this idea, but another quote of Millia's is "This is a whole new world...!" which, at least to me, shows that she experiences romance with a woman in a much more positive way than with a man.
Elphelt - Pansexual - When MW is used against herself, Elphelt says "I-I'll just take anyone...?" So like, yeah. Also she fell in love with herself, that's pretty gay.
Baiken - Bisexual - I'm pretty sure that she and Anji are confirmed to be a thing? I could 100% be wrong on that. However, when Baiken gets hit with MW, she falls in love with Elphelt. Despite that, she seems very reluctant, which could be shown as rejection (which I'll get to because it DOES happen), but I interpret this instead as denial of her feelings. This is further emphasized by her character, being a cold, lone wolf type of person. This can be seen in her platonic relationships as well, in which, only really accepting the company of Anji (possibly not platonic) and Delilah with Delilah being her latest friendship. The idea of her being in denial is in the line, "Won't work. Try to fall for someone el...?!" which, in my interpretation, means that she doesn't believe she's good enough, but is cut off by the sheer amount of love she's feeling from MW.
Jam - Bisexual - She wants to hire "cute boys" (boys she's attracted to) like Ky Kiske to work at her diner. In both Jam's Story ending 1 and Bridget's story ending 1 of Accent Core Plus, Jam actually hires Bridget to work at the diner. While Bridget identified as male then, she now identifies as female, though, that might not mean much. What means much more is her MW line, "Cute girl maybe ok, too." which implies that "cute girls" (GIRLS she's attracted to) would be hired as well.
Jack-O' - Bisexual - Is Aria, wife of Sol Badguy. They're also together in the ending of Strive. Reason that she's bisexual is because she refers to her and Elphelt as a couple in her MW line "Birth of a new-age couple?!" so that's pretty cut and dry.
Kum - Lesbian - When hit with MW, she falls in love with Elphelt as shown by the line, "Romance filter severely damaged!" meaning that, well, romance. Duh. I say lesbian specifically because, to my knowledge, she doesn't show attraction to any men, really just Elphelt, if anything were to come out where she shows attraction to a man or if I missed something that does the same, then I'd say she's bisexual. But for now, she's lesbian.
Venom - Gay - Now for the part that proves that MW doesn't override sexuality and that all of the above characters are attracted to women. Venom is canonically gay, this isn't a headcanon, this is just outright confirmed. However, it's important to note that Venom resists the romantic nature of MW as shown by his lines, "My loyalty cannot be broken!" "You cannot tempt me!" and last, but not least, "Lord ZATOOOO!" The fact that Venom, who in canon is exclusively attracted to men, does not fall in love with Elphelt in MW, means that the above characters DO fall in love with Elphelt and ARE attracted to women.
Bedman - Aroace - Completely rejects the concept of being in love ("Damn witch! You cannot take my heart from me!" "Are you trying to corrupt me?) when hit with MW, and, in one line, exclaims, "You cannot replace Delilah!" which is just comparing the effects of MW to his only other relationship, which is platonic, which is with his sister, which makes me feel like it's not at all romantic or sexual to him in any way.
Ramlethal - Aroace - At first, I thought she could be lesbian, but one of my friends who knows a lot more about GG lore and Ramlethal in specific than me argued that she's Aroace, citing one of her taunts in Strive that implies she has no concept of romance and that it's kinda gross to her. He also said that her saying "Is this my true self?" is about her experiencing human emotions, which she doesn't believe she can do (at least during Xrd's story mode). He, however, did say that as her concept and expression of human emotions develops, things could change, and she may end up developing romantic feelings, but that is not definite. As of right now, Ramlethal is aroace, at least in my books.
Testament - Nonbinary with attraction to men - I don't know if Testament has any attraction to women, but I read their intro lines in Strive with Johnny as them being a thing, as Johnny offers to go out to eat after their fight in one line. Testament is confirmed to be nonbinary though.
Johnny - Bi or Pansexual, though could still be straight? - This one veers much more into headcanon territory, but it's possible that Johnny could be bisexual or pansexual as he may in a situationship with Testament, as I mentioned just above. Testament does, however, present more femme than masc, and does use feminine pronouns alongside gender neutral and masculine pronouns, so it's possible that Johnny simply counts Testament as a woman and is still straight.
Bridget - Sapphic transgender woman - Bridget is a trans woman in canon, however, it's not confirmed if she is attracted to men, women, neither, or both. However, Daisuke once made some very interesting art where May is gripping Bridget's butt pretty strong (which is really just more evidence for May being sapphic), but Bridget doesn't seem troubled by it or anything soooo. Also, of the 2 characters that have special lines when defeated by Bridget in Strive, May gets 2 lines while Bridget herself only gets 1, no one else has a special line at this time.
I-no - Pansexual - Pretty sure she'll top anyone, even people who claim to be tops. This is basically just a headcanon, but apparently she teases both men and women when defeating them, soooo.
BONUS!!
These characters are, in my opinion, heterosexual despite this being contested in some smaller aspects of the community.
Sin - When hit with MW, one of Sin's lines is, "Farewell... virginity..." so yeah, he's straight. Idk, could be bi, but I see no evidence for that. Most people say he's aroace because he's so young, childish, and dumb, but Dizzy fell for Ky around the same age soooo...
Dizzy - When hit with MW, it feels like she's rejecting Elphelt, much like Venom and Bedman, saying "I'm married!" "I'm sorry, I can't!" "I-I have a son..." much less like a denial of feelings similar to that of Baiken. I don't think her sexuality is contested as much as Sin's is, but I still feel like this is worth mentioning.
yeah i think that's it really
END
If you have any other pieces of evidence for OR AGAINST my ideas and evidence, then please share!!! I am open to CONSTRUCTIVE criticism :3!!!
Reminder that MOST of these aren't technically confirmed to be canon, so take these as head canons if anything, not cold, hard facts!! And please, do not be rude about these either.
Also, do not deny ACTUAL canon (Venom being gay, Bridget being a transwoman, and Testament being nonbinary) as that is not cool and disrespectful to the ideas of Daisuke himself!!!
Thank you for reading, and I hope you all have a great day ^^!!!!!

When did you meet GUILTYGEAR?
because of the character Bridget (´・ω・`) have loved Bridget for years even before playing or learning about guilty gear because only cared about this character in particular. Then after coming back after so long to Strive learned even more about her in the current arc, and then thought of checking out some of the other characters and the lore.......(´・ω・` ;;;;)

the uta that lives in my head who is a little more visually normalgirl until she's actually an idol. ft brisket outfit
ID: a collection of sketches of Uta One Piece when she’s younger, but they all show her as having just pink hair, bangs the same length on both sides, with typical pigtails instead of the loops she has in canon, except for two on the bottom where is older and has started doing her hair like in canon. Her headphones as a child are similar to Usopp’s. There is one of her and Luffy sleeping leaning against each other and Benn Beckman, one of Benn doing Uta’s pigtails, and one of Shanks holding toddler Uta. In the bottom right is Uta in Bridget Guilty Gear’s Strive costume. end ID

Miss Dizzy (covered in blood) if you’re reading this I am free on Thursday night. If you would like to hang out I am free on Thursday night when I am free to hang out.
Kind of in love with how meta this one is.
I referred heavily to the official GGXX (Dizzy ED 1&2) script for this one, but as always, if you understand Japanese and retranslate this, let me know.
ID in alt.
Cleaned and original comics under the cut.
I've just realized that not everybody has played Guilty Gear XX, so I'll supply context.
You reach Dizzy's Ending 1 by losing the last battle against I-no. In GGXX, there are routes and endings you can reach by losing battles, unlike Accent Core. The comic is making fun of how the player / Dizzy has lost against I-no 7 (and now, 8) times, making this the 7th/8th time they've gotten ending 1 instead of ending 2.
For her Ending 2, you have to beat I-no in that battle and then beat her once again. Between those two battles, Dizzy loses control of herself and her powers (giving the player Dizzy's boss powers for the next fight). At the end of the fight, Dizzy is about to lose complete control of her powers when Sol comes around and stops them. In the game, Dizzy has a very demure CG where she holds a hand to her chest, relieved that she's regained control of her powers and herself.
The joke here is that Dizzy isn't demure and innocent; she's covered in blood and utterly pissed at I-no for the difficulty of the boss fight.
If you're curious to watch the endings yourself, KillerForte has uploaded them on Youtube.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My beautiful wife, the Copy Stamp...
Anyway this might compete for 'favorite comic that doesn't involve a favorite character', because. Look at dizzy. Fucking look at her. Daisuke if you bring Dizzy back for Strive please cover her in blood.
Nothing to say here, translation wise. I-no uses a specific term in Japanese for [ woman or girl who acts cute by playing innocent and helpless ], [ ぶりっこ ]. Wish we had something like that in English; facade and deceptive don't clarify what the facade IS.
I've had this on my agenda to translate for ages, but always got intimidated out of it because of the tons of messy and complex fonts / handwriting. And then it turned out super easy. There's a message there.
@.yomotsu-hirasaka helped me check over April's call-out and the I-no in the first panel.
I-no's hot here. It's always great when she inflicts violence on others without threatening other forms of harm *cough, cough, Bridget AC Path 2*.

November, 2023. Jam Kuradoberi has been announced as the next character for season 3 of Guilty Gear Strive. Her redesign has stayed true to her previous designs. However, her boob-socks shirt has been replaced with a more standard-fitting qipao and you can no longer see her underwear every time she kicks. Gamer bros that have not cleaned their keyboards since the Clinton administration riot in the streets. "Arc System Works has gone woke!!" They shout, flecks of stale Monster Energy mixed in their spittle. "When will the woke mob's rampage end! Can a woman no longer be sexy for the hell of it?!"
A man with a Greek statue avatar leaves a thinly veiled death threat on a fan illustration of Jam serving Bridget ramen, both in elegant winter-themed kimono, smiling. He is blocked, fading from memory as quickly as he had appeared.
Japanese ASW staff are unaware any of this ever happened. Life goes on as usual. The DLC sells an average amount of copies, reaching sales expectations, and Jam makes an appearance in the next pop-up shop event.

theres a lot of back and forth about paimon especially so i just wanna put in my two cents about it bc speculation on paimon and gender can be tricky and theres a lot to take into consideration. this isnt an end all be all post and not the best written but im just speaking from my place as someone who is trans (though i myself am tme) and works with gender themes in my own characters so this is gonna be kinda long
So! Paimon
Tumblr media
a lot of the issue from the back and forth stems from how paimon is written by default. When you meet paimon, he's designated as just a pretty boy that likes to crossdress and they emphasize heavily that paimon is a man every time they talk about his femininity and how he presents himself.
Now crossdressing itself is not at all transphobic, hell drag is a big thing and its not uncommon for queens do figure out that they're transfem when they get into it. In fact a lot of queer people do push to erase gender boundaries within clothes because in the end....clothing is just cloth wear what you want be who you want to be, whether it be a woman wearing masc clothing, a man wearing femme clothes, or anyone just wearing something neutral feeling.
Where it becomes a problem is the push to enforce paimon's masculinity at every turn. While its good that paimon isn't a character that's put in to be played for laughs (as feminine men and trans women often are in media), it comes off odd in a way for paimon to have a feminine voice, dress femininely, love feminine things...and then at every point have it enforced heavily that paimon is a man. THAT is where a lot of the issue stems from at when you see it happening as someone who has seen transmisogyny (if this is your first time seeing the word, its transphobia that arises specifically for a trans woman being a woman. ergo the word being a mix of transphobia and misogyny) in practice it looks worrying. When you're someone who knows how to spot this kind of thing it can feel like paimon's gender nonconformity is being demonized (while they also highlight it. its an odd mix).
This isn't to say that it is a concious thing that's being pushed either i'm not saying the writers are personally transmisogynists at all, HOWEVER since transphobia and transmisogyny is rampant in society to the point where it subconsciously controls biases, thats how it can come off transmisogynistic. Think of it as similar to racism: even if you think you yourself are not racist theres still likely biases you have picked up or have been taught just because theyre so pervasive in society. This doesnt mean its your fault it just means its something that you have to unlearn conciously and put in the work to do so.
This is also not just a problem with whb because again like i said, its systemic. Think about other characters in media who are written this way, such as Bridget from Guilty Gear, or Vivian from Paper Mario. While these two are different in that their status as trans women have been solidified, the treatment they've gotten is largely the same. Especially bridget considering how she for the longest was the poster child for the "femboy" archetype and how femininity is enforced yet also discouraged in these characters until she was finally labeled transgender in gg strive.
All this to say...its messy and theres a lot of points to consider so there really isnt a reason to go at each others throats. Using paimon's canon pronouns and gender isn't exactly a problem and neither is choosing to instead see paimon as a transgender woman and using she/her pronouns. But at the very least it doesn't hurt to educate yourself also and understand why paimon's writing can come off transmisogynistic and transphobic. WHB is not a game thats heralding itself on being progressive (even if there are aspects to it that might seem so) so there's not much to expect from it in that regard but still we can be mindful and discussion isnt bad.
(also a footnote i dont think ive seen any transfem or tma players of whb in the tag....ever but if anyone is and wants to add on or thinks ive overstepped let me know)

Guilty Gal bedroom headcanons
Compiled my sex headcanons for the Guilty Gear ladies for fun, obviously this isn't all of them, it's the ones for Strive as well as the other ones I like the most
And like these aren't super in-depth or set in stone, they're just how I imagine em and what I think they like!
Ramlethal
-Service top
-Typically focuses on making sure her partner is taken care of
-Sex and intimacy are still something new to her so she enjoys receiving directions
-Not very picky when it comes to positions
-Really likes praise, but on the occasions where she bottoms she likes the sensory experience of temperature play
Elphelt
-Bottom
-Pillow Princess!!! Her darling should be so head over heels for her that they're willing to spoil her!
-That said, it's not like she won't put in the work when she needs to. A relationship is a partnership of equals, after all!
-Any position where she gets to look into her lover's eyes is a winner in her book
-LOOOOVES a good roleplay, she's got so many scenarios ready to go!
Dizzy
-Service Top
-Very unselfish lover, she will make sure her partner enjoys themself as much as she does
-Constant words of affirmation, telling her partner how pretty they are and how good they are
-Similar to Elphelt, loves any position where she gets to look her partner in the eyes
-Obviously good at praise and body worship, can also use her tail to great effect
May
-Top
-A lot of energy, can go for a while before she suddenly crashes
-Likes making her partner feel good!
-Handy with a strap but she can ride like the wind
-Enjoys sex in unconventional places, although not necessarily public
Giovanna
-Switch
-Very casual approach to sex, won't make a big deal or show out of asking her partner about it
-Likes being dominated but is willing to show a less experienced partner how it's done
-Lover her partner being on top of her but also likes oral a lot
-Semi-public sex is fun for her, she likes the risk
Millia
-Bottom
-Yeah I know she seems like a top at first glance but to me I think she's the type where at the end of the day she wants to be able to surrender control to someone who will make her feel good and take care of her
-That said she'll take charge and direct her partner if she needs to (her powers come in real handy here)! She can be a bit picky
-Loves being tied up, knowing that she can easily break out of it if she needs to
I-No
-Switch (girl's done it all)
-Sex, on top of being fun, is a distraction from The Horrors so her partner had better be ready to go at a moment's notice
-Definitely a selfish lover, she's more focused on her own pleasure, but with her prowess her partner typically ends up satisfied
-Anything's good by her but she'll typically go for positions where she has some control, like cowgirl
-She'll do pretty much anything but definitely has a sadistic/masochistic streak
Baiken
-Typically tops but a little more willing to bottom than you might think
-For her sex is more a physical need to fulfill so don't expect a lot in the way of romance or foreplay
-That said she's not selfish, she'll make sure her partner gets off too
-Likes it rough, so she'll gladly be on either end of doggy style
-She can dish out insults and take em too, so someone's gonna be bratty in this equation
Jack-O
-Switch
-Now that she's her own person, she's figuring out her likes and dislikes
-Her more energetic and silly personality has her more like a pillow princess, while her more reserved and insightful persona has her more willing to put in work
-Very flexible so she's a fan of having her legs over her partner's shoulders, being put in a press, etc.
-Likes experimenting but definitely very partial to using food in the bedroom (sweets of course!)
Bridget
-Bottom
-Struggles with dysphoria so if she's comfortable enough with her partner to be naked around them, that really means something
-You have to call her "good girl." You Have To
-She likes giving and receiving oral the most, but hey, she's got a nice butt too! Won't say no to getting fucked from behind
-She enjoys some light bondage, in a more established relationship she could maybe get into petplay

I have a few things to say about Bridget's story in Guilty Gear.
For those of you who don't know, Bridget's background was originally that she was born the younger of twin boys, in a society that believed twin boys was a bad omen. Her parents didn't want to kill or banish either of their children, so instead they decided they would raise Bridget as a girl in order to avoid the stigma the society had. Once Bridget became old enough, she left her town and became a bounty hunter, openly stating that she was a man, yet still wearing feminine clothing. Her time as a bounty hunter and being revealed that she was male broke her hometown's belief of the danger of twin boys. In Guilty Gear XX, her first appearance, Bridget's stated motivation was to become more masculine, more in line with her male identity at the time, rather than the femenine appearance she had from her childhood.
Then, she came back in Guilty Gear Strive, and her story was redirected, from trying to become more masculine to being a trans woman. This revelation comes after several encounters with Goldlewis Dickinson and Ky Kiske in arcade mode, who encouraged her to be true to herself.
Many people are mad about this direction for her to go in for one simple reason: they are transphobic. They keep trying to come up with simply nonsensical excuses such as "it's a mistranslation of the complex japanese meaning" or "because she was raised as a girl, becoming a girl is actually detransitioning" (paraphrasing). The truth of the matter is that Bridget is trans, and that representation can help a lot of people feel seen. Many people see Bridget is trans, and appreciate that there is an openly and directly stated trans person in media, and that can and has encouraged people to try to join in the game, larger series, and even the fgc as a whole, who probably wouldn't have otherwise. It is definitely part marketing or arcsys's part, but it's also representation that isn't seen in a lot of other places, and representation is just good in general. It helps grow the community and is a step towards inclusion that not many other game studios have taken.
Now, there is another side I want to discuss. I want you to think about what would have happened if they hadn't made Bridget trans. I see three possibilities:
1. Bridget is never added to a future guilty gear game (which is theoretically possible for any character)
2. In line with their character arc, Bridget is turned into a very masculine man, and people lose their beloved femboy
3. Their arc is stalled and incomplete, as they remain a femboy and never make progress towards their goal of becoming masculine
None of these things are very good. As Bridget was highly requested to be put in a future game before Strive, but wasn't, I personally think it's because arcsys didn't really know where to take her character arc back then. So they stalled for time, not putting her in until they knew what the best course of action was for her character. They wouldn't make the unpopular move of making her a buff super masculine man, nor would they give her an stalled and simply bad arc that never made any progress. They made her trans. This is simply the best course of action for her character, as it avoids all those other problems that may arise, as well as filling in holes from previous games.
I want you to think about one more thing: Bridget's story in XX is that she wants to become more masculine, and she has the freedom to do it, now that she is a well renowned bounty hunter. So then, why does she still wear feminine clothing, that is clearly shown to confuse people about her gender identity? I know that you don't need to wear clothing in line with your gender, obviously. However, when her clear and stated motivation is to become more masculine, then it seems odd that she would present femininely. Perhaps it is because, deep down, she always knew she was a girl.
