During this session, I had the opportunity to experiment with colored paper and pastels. We were instructed to choose four colors, but I added an extra one during this real-life drawing lesson. I began to understand that I don't have to stick to a specific order when drawing, and I certainly don't have to use the exact same skin colors in my drawings. Thinking outside the box is encouraged.

I reflected on my first experience with charcoal. It was a great expression when I rubbed off the person and started a new sketch, resembling motions in the frame or classic animation. I observed one of my classmates focusing on sketching hands, inspiring me to do the same. I wanted to develop the details of fingers and hands, keeping pace as the models shifted positions, requiring me to wipe and sketch anew.I noticed my sketching evolving to be more spontaneous, realizing that I don't have to focus solely on completing each piece. Both my classmates and tutors showed great ambition with colours and scales. The imaginative perspectives in my classmates' eyes and scales were vast. Creating two models out of one model struck me as more minimalist and simple. I recognize the need to simplify what I see and to follow my tutor's guidance on measuring and scales structures more consistently. While placing two models on my frame might seem challenging, it's akin to the Photoshop technique of duplicating and rotating characters, and I find it intriguing.

Drywall is great, but have you ever considered paper? I knew a guy in high school who would casually eat paper during class when he got hungry. Somehow, he turned out to be more successful than his peers--

(This is a true story btw, I did know someone who casually ate paper. Never knew if he was a genius or a psycho--)

...So anyway, try paper sometime. Might be a lil' easier on the gut. Lemme know how it tastes.

But, drywall is a wellspring of flavor. The gypsum, the brownpaper, the plaster. Crunchy, crumbly, and gentle on the teeth. It pairs well with dusty ice cubes and escaped goldfish. Also, paper can have ink or colorings, and drywall has none.

Above are a list of textures that I need to source for my book. Of these, I am satisfied with the screen printed and woodblock printed textures that I acquired earlier, however I wanted to take another crack at the fingerprint and linocut textures. Additionally, I wanted to get some scans of paper textures.

I sourced four different kinds of paper and scanned them in. Of these, I really liked the brownpaper scans as opposed to the white ones. I want to use this as an overarching texture for the comic as I feel it would make it more interesting. These were the results;

Additionally, I happened to find some of the leftover stensils from my screen printing experiments for MI5019 last year. I thought it may be prudent to find a use for them here as well. Below are those scans;

Finally, I went in and started redoing the lino and finger prints. These were a simple enough process, but to add some diversity to them, I did multiple iterations; using a cloth to manipulate the ink on the linoleum to create various textures. These were the results;

With all the new scans out of the way, I can finally move onto completing the artwork for the book.

Much Hyped Mr Hankey Coin Presale Now Just Hours Away

One of the most hyped crypto launches of 2023 is now just hours away with the Mr Hankey Coin ICO set for an imminent launch. The project was only announced at the start of the week but has quickly spread across Web3, catching the attention of major alpha investment groups and numerous crypto influencers on social media. Based on the South Park favorite, Mr Hankey Coin is a quite literal shitcoin that is expected to see huge uptake in its presale and massive liquidity once it launches on exchanges. What is Mr Hankey Coin? $HANKEY is based on Mr Hankey, the Christmas Poo, a beloved South Park character that first appeared on TV screens during the first season of the show back in 1997. Amid the meme coin frenzy of 2023, many projects have come and gone but Mr Hankey Coin appears to be one that has ticked a lot of boxes for investors – with FOMO reaching its peak ahead of the ICO launch. Interest in the project is surging because of its small hard cap – with only $500k needing to be raised before the presale sells out – and its rapidly growing following. The Twitter page already has in excess of 7,000 followers but its not just the presale that has investors excited. Meme coins have been surging throughout 2023 and the Mr Hankey Coin developers have also been linked with one of the top performers from earlier this year, $SPONGE, which saw 100x gains. That could see them quickly secure major CEX listings that will allow $HANKEY to explode in price, much like what happened with $SPONGE and $PEPE, which both saw rapid growth in May. $HANKEY’s ‘10x Potential’ During the presale, 40% of the max 1 billion supply will be made available to presale buyers. With a hard cap of just $500k, that puts the price of each token at $0.00125. That price isn’t expected to last long as a huge amount of liquidity (40%) has been reserved for the DEX launch, which should spark pumping trading volume. The liquidity has also been locked eliminating any worries of a rug pull. The remaining Mr Hankey Coin supply has been earmarked for marketing (10%), the team (5%) and CEXs (5%). The large marketing budget will likely see the project continue to spread like wildfire through Web3, especially with the team’s experience and contacts in the industry. Las de peindre des portraits mondain sà Londres, Glyn Warren Philpot, décide de s'installer à Paris ou il avait étudié dès le début du siècle  à l'académie Julian de Paris auprès de Jean-Paul Laurens. Il commence ç changer de style dès avant  la Première guerre mondiale ,opte pour un style plus moderne, plus plat et plus stylisé que son ancienne manière. Ce nouveau style lui vaut un accueil  plus que mitigé de la part de ses premiers admirateurs londoniens dont ilv a d'ailleurs s 'éloigner peu à peu. Si bien qu'en  avril 1932, on peut lire dans Scotsman : « Glyn Philpot est entrain de tourner au Picasso ». il s'en faut de beaucoup mais la touche moderne ne plait pas. Dommage car elle est superbe et ce dessin qui est le tout premier où il manifeste son intérêt pour les modèles masculins noirs (qui seront récurrents dans toute son œuvre),  est d'une grande beauté.

Screen print development

This prints were made unexpectedly. I cut the stencils i've used in the past and made a composition with the 2 "creatures" ive been printing. I feel they work well together and I'm pleased with these prints. In my opinion, i think they would also look good with some premade backgrounds i could do.
