Oh boy.. this sure is something..

Bare with me for a second, (personal opinion :P)

First thing to consider here, is if they know or not ◉⁠‿⁠◉ (short story: after finishing season 1 I thought he was cool and um..(I was 13 ok? I thought any long haired dude is pretty) but ofc after learning the truth I had to self-reflect 😔) now tell them :D

If they already do however, you might wanna try some of these:

-check if your friend's in that bad of a place (for example I read fanfics when I felt like I wanted to see the other side 😍, no regrets it was written by a 12 yo, Aku and Gin saved me :3; Mori got locked up for being weird; super funny, 100% recommended)

-show them the manga version if they haven't already (his hair pulled so tight mf looks so goofy 😭)

-gaslight them into thinking that they just like his colour palette/outfit (excluding the pants tucked in his ugly boots (if anyone likes to do that irl, cool. Mori just can't pull nothing off, ok? He's a fkn DISAPPOINTMENT [personal]))

-if they like yosano or dazai, remind them

-try lobotomy/j

- tell them that someone out there (me) thinks that they're an absolute loser cuz' they really saw that beautiful man, Fukuzawa yet they chose the p3do 🙄

"Flower language and Childe"

OH I LOVE THIS WIP THANK YOU SO MUCH 🫶🫶

Hooves I'm not sure how familiar you are with Genshin Impact or Tartaglia but basically he is a Harbinger, a high ranking military member and is fundamentally the Tsaritsas' weapon of war.

Okay so many moons and eons ago I did a follower event on my [mainly] bsd blog verlains-corner-archived, in which I listed down several flowers and their meanings to use as prompts and I ended up getting two childe asks; one here and the one we are discussing now.

The prompts given were: Sticky Catchfly - “Invitation to dance”, Honeysuckle - “Devoted affection; bonds of love”, White Lily - “My love is pure”.

So basically I had a few ideas for the fic originally but ended up landing on having it be a Christmas fic were Childe invites the reader to his home in Snezhnaya for a fortnight or so to celebrate with him and his family. It was also planned to be a decently long fic and mainly set up in a way where it's a collection of scenes connection via an overarching plot - in this case the Christmas celebration

The main reason this WIP fell through is because I ended up falling out of love with writing and in general just lost inspiration but with that being said this WIP has alwaaaays been in the back of my mind.

So for you, my dear man, I have both the og outline and a bit of what I actually wrote for the fic!!! Beware of awkward characterisation LOL

OUTLINE:

Reader receives letter from Ajax inviting them to celebrate Christmas.

Walk through Snezhnaya to Ajaxs' house. Build atmosphere.

Invited inside in time for dinner - either skim it or actual scene.

Build the two weeks - decorations, fishing, present shopping, ect.

Christmas day - waking up, breakfast, presents, dancing in the snow with Ajax.

Confession scene - something cliche perhaps.

WIP:

When Childe had asked you to visit his home in Snezhnaya for Christmas in the early months of spring, long before the day would arrive, you had been filled with much excitement and anticipation. 

Childe was a peculiar man, eager to get into fights and start trouble where it wasn’t needed and seldom appreciated, and yet at such times of years as holidays his bloodlust was replaced with a domesticity that could almost be perceived as out of character. You had seen it before, the harsh lines of his exterior melted away to reveal a hidden tenderness, his hands stained with flour and at times paint, for he loved creating his own decorations and helping his siblings with theirs. You had no doubt that this Christmas would be filled with much the same sights.

The arrival of his invitation had come on a quiet afternoon in Septemberand had been joined by the man himself, a surprise entirely pleasant. You never knew when Childe was going to show up unless he had previously said so and that was uncommon, for his time lettering was dedicated to his family and he seemed to find great joy in unexpected comings and goings, especially if they came with good tidings and potential thrills much like this one had.

“I’m delighted to see you again, you look as if you’ve hardly changed!” Childe had said, his words accompanied by a playful nudge to your shoulder.

“It hasn’t been that long since your last visit Childe. Still I’m glad to see you, what brings you here?”

“Ah, I have news and an invite! But first, how have you been?”

It was not long before the two of you had ended up deep in talk, the invite all but forgotten as the night changed to early morning. It had officially been given to you over lunch, when with a cup of coffee Childe had remembered that there had been another purpose to his visit other than good company. Little had been said about what would happen on Christmas day, but Childe had been insistent that this would be like no other year [something that filled you with as much trepidation as it did excitement]. Something special was going to happen. He had left a week later, leaving only a short letter on your table as he passed into the night. 

“I’m excited for the day to arrive, as I’m sure you are! I cannot wait to tell Tuecer and the others, I’m certain they’ll be ecstatic. You know how much they love you.

I’ll be keeping in touch until it’s time for your departure, so keep an eye out for more letters!

Ajax had kept his word, indeed over the course of the remaining spring months several letters from him had arrived and though they said nothing of the events planned they were of considerable length and filled with such charm that they seemed to erase all worries upon their delivery. They did not come alone either and often you would find photos hidden in the envelopes or the letter itself attached to parcels containing small trinkets and other oddities no doubt picked up on Ajaxs’ travels. The latest letter was the only oddity among them, for it had come alone and contained nothing other than a wish for your safety upon your journey to Snezhnaya. You had left the next day, waving goodbye to your home before setting off with the warm summer breeze guiding your path.

Honestly, who or what the hell is Doc even based on?

Albatross is probably based of the poem “L’Albatross” by Charles Baudelaire. (I want to say IRL!Chuuya translated Baidelaire’s works but I might just be getting this mixed up with the fact the Baidelaire translated Poe’s works because I can’t find a source for this) I know at the very least that the IRL!Chuuya enjoyed French poetry so there’s that connection. 

Pianoman was probably based of the composer Saburo Moroi, who the IRL!Chuuya was friends with. He formed a group for young men while in university that the IRL!Chuuya was apart of. (Got this info from a sketchy blog post though so take it with a grain of salt)

Lippmann is probably the easiest to guess for next to Albatross. I’d guess he’s based off of political writer Walter Lippmann. This guess is mainly because their names are the same. Interestingly enough there’s this section of the IRL!Lippmann’s wikipedia page “During World War I, Lippmann was commissioned a captain in the Army on June 28, 1918, and was assigned to the intelligence section of the AEF headquarters in France. He was assigned to the staff of Edward M. House in October and attached to the American Commission to negotiate peace in December.” Considering BSD!Lippman’s job is a negotiator between the Mafia and the world of light I found the comparison interesting.  

This one’s more of a guess than anything, but I think Iceman got his name from the book, “The Ice Man, Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer”. I have no proof other than both BSD!Iceman and The Ice Man involving Mafia hitmen. 

With all this in mind, I have zero ideas for Doc. I have thought so hard about it but I have absolutely nothing. He’s an enigma to me and I want to know who this man is.
