Concerning sigma (in bullet points bc i'm exhausted)

This contains spoilers for the last few manga chapters+the complete 5th season of the anime

Dazai promised. Dazai may be a lot of things, but he would not lie about something like that. He was also too calm after Fyodor's death for sigma too also be dead. Sure, he said he doesn't have any quips "today", but if Sigma had died - he would feel terrible, like he really was the monster and like he's failed yet another person. (Just remember his reaction when the man of the ADA's café was attacked in one of the earlier seasons. He cares.) This is a promise Dazai would never break.

Sigma has the answers to all the unanswered questions concerning fyodor (motive, life, ability). While I personally think it would be cheap and boring to just talk about Fyodor's ability and motive after he's already dead, Sigma still holds the key information that no-one else has access to.

That being said, Fyodor's death was incredibly underwhelming and I'm unsure how the ADA will get a better (better fit for the protagonists as well as more dangerous) villain/antagonist after. I'm afraid they'd all pale in comparison. Though Nikolai's reaction to his death was so well made, it was genuinly impeccable.

I don’t know if it’s just me but i feel like Dazai should’ve faced more consequences after breaking out of the prison. He escaped, beat the big bad guy, and left with both him and Chuuya being mostly fine.

It feels like a cheap solution and i was disappointed to see that he just magically came out fine again. even if he won, he should’ve still faced some long-term consequences after an arc like that. everything was at risk and very little was lost.

it felt like a cheap ending, and i really hope that asagiri ends up making dazai actually face the consequences of his actions at some point.

Also, what was fyodors motive? We know fukichi's but even he agreed fedya was evil and could potentially mess up the actual plan. What did fyodor want to get out of this? And what is his ability? And why is sigma actually dead?

Also, Fedya's death may have been shocking, but it was so fucking underwhelming

Nobody Dies. Except Fukuchi, nobody likes him. LMFAO AYA did not die. Did you see the way Akutagawa held her. I headcanon that he is good with kids. Yay. Asagiri no longer hates children. Chuuya was never a Vampire. He just had Halloween teeth. Fyodor got stabbed. Soukoku are a freaking Circus Act. I had to wait 3 hrs to watch the damn episode. Because of stuff I had to do.
