Hi mera!!!! Barista anon here!!
Its totally OK. I figured you were busy and I have no problems waiting.
But I reAD THE TSUM FIC AND MERA, AHVRKSBDJSBRBDJXNBFSJJXVDVDNSJXHXBRJ our preCIOUS TAKO BBY!!!! IMAGINE THO AFTER HE GETS OFVER THE INITIAL SHOCK OF EVERYTHING HE FEELS HE HAS TO OUTDO HIS TSUM!!!! If his TSUM CAN HAVE HIS DARLING LOOK LIKE A HOT MESS, WHY CANT HE?!?!?
I still couldn't get over the fact that DRU gave darling like a crumb of other human interaction before just saying 'haha, nope.'
YOUR BRAIN IS BIG AND BEAUTIFUL AND GORGEOUS!!!! So many floybs and im hhhhhhhnnnnnnnngggggggg just imagining scummy/sleazy floyb with muscular tattooed arms just hits so good. He reminds me of the song 'problem' by Natalia kills tbh.
But the step floyb and sk!floyb also have me aggressively drinking my coffee like, can I live in that braincell of yours????
BARISTA ANON, HIIIII!!!! ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡) thank you so much for reading the tsum fic!!!!! Azul outdoing his tsum..... he has no choice but to ravish you. It's sex fueled by pure jealousy. >:D he can't possibly allow his tsum to have the honor of turning you into a debauched mess!! And unlike the tsum, Azul can do so much more. He'll kiss you all over to make up for the lack of smooches from the tsum. Obviously he's much better than his plushie counterpart.
aaaaa DRU is indeed a cruel plot for our reader. It would have been so delightful if she and Marisa could continue their interaction. They're platonic soulmates in my heart. 🥺
Omg that song fits scummy, sleazy Floyd so well!!!! OTL he also reminds me of "Kinky" by Gameboi, but maybe that's because I wrote the fic while listening to that song on repeat. ( ꈍ◡ꈍ) Floyd with tattoo sleeves is so delicious,,,, omg but a Floyd with tattoos and piercings is an entire feast. He's so perfect in every form!!!!!
Please feel free to live in my brain cell. You will find so many Floybs here, and all of them will love you forever. I also love stepcest Floyb and sk!Floyb!! Although recently I've considered adding a new Floyb to the ever-growing list......... ✨ coffee shop stalker Floyb ✨ it's the usual coffee shop meet-cute au, but Floyd's only ever sitting in the coffee shop to pretend to do his homework when in reality he's just admiring you. <3 Floyd watching you and your coworkers chat and laugh and he wishes that could be him.
One day. :) he's sure of it.

𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬! chapter 1079 review.
Where to start?
First; I’m so really sorry for Kid, Killer and the whole crew. Honestly, poor babies ☹ I hope, since it wasn’t shown, the sea saves them. (This is based on a little theory I have; sea decides who lives and who doesn’t. Mother Sea, didn’t let Luffy and Big Mom drown in Wano. How comes they were drowning and suddenly they appeared at the coast? Who saved them? Also, the sea didn’t let Ace die back when a storm hit his ship (he wasn’t a df user yet, but he got the mera mera from the sea) or what about on ennies lobby? Mugiwaras jumped to “the sea” with smiles on their faces)
Secondly, let me play devil’s advocate here; is not that Kidd deserved what happened to him, but, it’s natural to get backlash at your actions. If you are gonna go pick up a fight, or, you are going to try hurt other’s friends… well, prepare for them to react.
Some have said, and maybe it can seem like that at first, “this isn’t Oda’s writing” or “it lacks preparation” but honestly when you read it again, I believe we had plenty of clues and reasons to believe this could have been a possible outcome. Why? Well:
✦ Since the Reverie the world is AT CHAOS. We know that because it’s been said several times by plenty of people. You can even see how the CP0 kept constant communication with the rest of the GW and Marine to know how things were going outside Wano. It’s obvious that things will happen when the world is in disarray.
✦ The two times we saw Shanks fought, he acted the same way (and it is the lesson he gave to Luffy, that he has always kept in mind… especially when he met Blackbeard): he won’t fight unless it is strictly necessary and someone hurts/dares to hurt his friends. At Marineford, he arrived and told them “stop or get ready to get fucked with no mercy”. But the most important one for me; featured on the VERY FIRST CHAPTER OF ONE PIECE: the fight with the mountain bandits! he didn’t do anything when they hit their head with a damn bottle. But he did something when Luffy was in trouble. Also, they KILLED SOMEONE and stated WE AREN’T GOOD PEOPLE. We actively chose to ignore that fact, cause he’s been always “luffy’s dad” and he has always acted like a sweet man. HE ISN’T A SAINT.
Tumblr media
✦ Now, going back to the fact that Lucky put a bullet on that mountain bandit’s head. What was the premise? “Don’t point guns unless you are ready to get killed”. It’s the exact same thing that happened to Kidd in here. Shanks saw with his INCREDIBLE observation Haki what Kidd was planning to do to his fleet and HE HAD to stop him. Now, is it ok to use SUCH strong attack? Well, idk, but he is strong, and Kid should have known better (even if he had a taste of his power when someone from his crew cut his arm off before. You know… “Arrogance destroys the footholds of victory”)
Tumblr media
✦ The giants. Same as the point above; if you are willing to hurt their friends, you should be ready to face consequences. Also, those guys come from the war island… what do you expect? They spent 100 years fighting over stupid things while on Little Garden, do you really expected them not to react if their Island was in danger by a huge cannon? Well… I’m not blaming them either for their reaction.
What I am trying to say is that their actions went perfectly well with their characters. Shanks reaction isn’t new nor weird. The giants reaction is expected.
Hopefully Kid and Killer will be ok, but, don’t get surprised (and I swear to god this isn’t a slander) if they end up not making it. The fake -and sudden- illusion of Kid becoming as important as Luffy and Law on Wano was perfectly added to create even more impact for when Shanks finishes him. This is just an opinion. It’s not that I don’t love him, I do. The thing is that I started wondering myself WHY he was THAT relevant all of a sudden? Well…

ello mera,
I wanted to ask how you post your comics online because i was thinking about making my own web comic series but i dont know where to start hehe
I think the website you used for IBWR was called Hiveworks but im not to sure how it works...
Also if you have any other tips when it comes to making comics like time management, planning, or even how draw those gorgeous backgrounds, it would be much appreciated :D
Thank you for your time ヾ(•ω•`)o ✧.*
Sure thing buckaroo, get in the backseat and let's hit the comic road!
ヾ(•`ω´•)o ✧.*
this is all from my perspective though, some stuff may not work for you, but hey - no knowledge is bad knowledge.
Hiveworks is a... Publisher! of sorts! Kind of. They're not like webtoons or Tapas when it comes to comic hosting, you have to be invited to Hiveworks (like me!) or apply to join them! :) They also have Hivemill which is a place where they sell merch for the comics. Either Hiveworks helped making the merch, or the artists themselves made the stuff and Hiveworks helps distribute it (I THINK, don't quote me on that. I haven't made or sold merch with them before. But it's what I understand. They have explained it to me, I'm just kinda dumb).
However! Comic control, of which Hiveworks uses to make the websites are free for anyone to use! :) So if you want your own website, go ahead and make one!
I'd still recommend you buy the URL you'll use in that case though. I pay a yearly fee on GoDaddy.com for mine. It's affordable and honestly worth it as a precaution, lest a dirtbag buy it just to ruin my day and give me distress for a year(s).
But my recommendation is that you mirror your comic in as many places as possible.
Now, my website has ads on it, so if you switch off ad-block when visiting IBWR, I can get ad rev from it! :D (thanks to Hiveworks, that is, they added the ad stuff on there. Idk how it works but it's nice passive income that I really need. It pays for my food).
That means I will prioritize the website over the secondary mirrored places. So that's the place I always link to first. So if people REALLY want to get the next page sooner, they can always check there first.
However, mirroring is great because it is very difficult to get people to read the story you've put so much love into. I want people to enjoy my story as much as I do. The more places you update it to, the more people will discover you.
I've noticed that people like to follow the artist/author on social media for update announcements and general news of what's going on for the comic - so know where your presence on socmed is at! If it's instagram, well, then prioritize instagram but don't forget bluesky or tumblr too! Just know where you're at.
BUT!! And I cannot stress (lol) this enough - but don't stress (lol) about it. which is easier said than done.
It can feel super overwhelming to constantly make each update of a page feel like a check list of "okay, posted announcement to insta, tumblr, twitter, I have scheduled a mirrored post to comicfury and tumblr, I have added all the links in the author section, uuuh, I gotta add a cropped panel sneak-peak in each and I gotta--" that shit gets tiring quick. Work smart not hard. I copy paste from a document and I print-screen crop a panel from my comic on my phone kind of flimsily and that works. Nobody cares if it's fancy. It's just extra energy on my part that I can't be arsed to worry about.
Like Webtoons require that you to always have a preview icon for each update. That's as complicated as I'm willing to get tbh. If it requires more than that from me I'm gonna hate it. But that's just me.
you want to be able to do something consistently.
Which brings me to..
MANAGEMENT
bro, it's a job. It takes work. Work is not always fun, but you gotta show up for it. you're the only worker here. If you don't show up, it doesn't get done.
And people are not going to read it until there's at least pages enough for them to catch on to a story. If you're here for recognition right away, stop. You'll hurt yourself. I know we live in a time of quick-positive feedback through likes and shares, etc. But that's just not reality most of the time when starting up.
So, you got to want to tell the story more than whatever you are expecting to get out of this.
Which will also help you with managing your feelings if your reader count grows or declines. Just remind yourself of why you even want to tell your stories. It's easier said than done, but I found it to be a helpful philosophy to try stick by.
Everything I gain from sharing my story is just a plus. Not the reason.
What I did, also, was to just post whenever I finished a page. I had no readers, only commitment to myself and the comic. That's it. You'll find it easier if you don't force yourself at first, at least I did. And then as you gain your own momentum and work-pace, you'll be able to be like "Oh yeah, sunday works for me. I'll aim for that." Aim for it, don't promise. But show up. You're not a machine, shit happens, life comes in. If you have a deadline that makes you feel guilty, you might start avoiding it etc. So maybe just cut yourself some slack and go "whenever I'm done with a page is a good day."
You are your own boss. You make your own rules.
Yes, there is an algorithm to it all - when's the best time to post, getting new readers through memes or what have you. You might discover that the best way for you to get readers is to make funny videoclips on instagram or tiktok - there is no wrong way.
However, it shouldn't feel like too much of a chore. You should enjoy it at least a little bit. Like, maybe you kinda like making goofy vids of your comic, or draw memes, whatever, right? But you should enjoy some of it. If you hate making vids, but you know it is a good pond to fish in.. well, like... I'm sorry but you're gonna get frustrated with it.
I like posting THANK YOU FOR READING doodles of my characters on instagram stories! :D <3 I like that! That's not too much trouble for me.
BE CRINGE, BE FREE.
who gives a shit.
enjoy yourself you goofy ass little comic artist. Blast your story everywhere, be proud, have fun. People enjoy having fun, they usually want to join in with the fun.
If you have fun, others have fun being with you.
DRAWING COMICS
dawg I wish I had any better tips than... Fuck it, poke at it however you want.
I usually have ten pages flimsily sketched out with speech-dialogues so I know what's gonna happen in the next pages, so I can pace the scene somewhat.
I say that, like I'm some kinda professional, but I jump between pages. Whichever page seems a little more fun. Sometimes I stare myself blind on a page and gotta draw on something else.
Some pages are super well sketched, others are just bald stickfigures making faces at other bald stickfigures.
BACKGROUNDS
Get references. Either look at photographs or take the yourself. Start getting into looking at buildings in real life. I, myself, spend quite a lot of time looking at different windows and brick buildings going "Dang, so that's a widow huh? Architects sure just make windows like BAM ENJOY THIS ONE huh?"
Basically, start appreciating the world around you. There's art everywhere. Someone has put thought - however big or small - into that sidewalk.
Is it a shitty sidewalk? Well, that's really grounding isn't it? Someone, at some point, looked at this space, sighed and thought "fuck man I just wanna go home. That's good enough." and that really grounds you visually into that this world is a place where people have been before you.
Sometimes I get lazy and at the same time in a mood to challenge my memory, and I'll start inventing what the heck a building or street looks like. And you can probably easily tell in a page when I, too, am going "fuck man I just wanna get this page done with, that's good enough."
AND THAT'S FINE!!!
Not everything have to be an awestriking master page! Damn, the pressure I'd be under if that's the only thing I had to produce asdfghj! if anything, great pages look better because some pages are shite.
It's okay.
It doesn't have to be perfect every time. Learn what didn't work, what worked. Post it. Move on. You can't sit on this forever or the story will never be told. Just post it, it's fine.
THERE IS NO PERFECT TIME TO POST YOUR STORY.
Post it in chunks or page by page. It doesn't really matter - new readers are going to read it all in one sitting anyway.
-------
I think that's all I can think of for now??
Hope that helped!
Oh also I have this side blog I've been neglecting a bit, but feel free to check that out: @comicartistcentral

oohh i’m gonna have to check out those songs some time.
for me, this was mostly inspired by the pain train that’s thinking about ace in the context of nightwishs Angels fall first (it’s literally just abt mourning). also halestorms I am the Fire is my unofficial mera mera fruit anthem lmao
then, in a complete tone shift there’s blood from in this moment that makes me think of doffy (or p much any of the other morally terrible men lmao) (I love you for everything you ever took from me  I love the way you dominate and you violate me)
On a funny note there’s also Shit boat (no fans) by alestorm, that’s basically any of the rowdier crews lmao
Ooooo, I gave 'em a listen (and added a couple songs to my favorites list xD )
That Alestorm song had me laughing ❤️I love joke styled songs like that. Halestorm's also one of my favorite bands so that was easy, and man that Blood song hits so well too!
Thank you for sharing \o/ (and prompting =D )

candaru liveblogs reading her own writing: episode 7
let’s get right to it boys
Tumblr media
in my head she’s doing the lame cartoon gag where they cross their arms over each other
Tumblr media
IT’S FUNNY BECAUSE IT FITS HER JUST AS WELL AS, IF NOT BETTER THAN, HOWIE
Tumblr media
same energy as/swap version of “Listen here, Mr. Police officer—” “It’s Ms.”
Tumblr media
I tried to give him a gambling theme to give him SOME sort of different flavor from canon Zora, although apparently it made some of his lines confusing “-_-
Tumblr media
listen I really love Yoomtah and Sylvie’s relationship. he pretends not to care but he doesssss
Tumblr media
I feel like,,,, I ended up mixing motives a little bit here, but shhhhhh it’s fine
Tumblr media
“I am NOT. a KID.” + “I’M NOTTA SQUIRE!!!”
Tumblr media
little reference to some more Zora HCs that were later confirmed, regarding her powerset :3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I really liked this bit with the playing card, but oh BOY was the entire ending fight a giant knot to untangle. I spent like an hour trying to sort out one part in particular while my family played cards in the next room
Tumblr media
very, very lame throwback to the McHammer reference in the Museum Arc which I regret
Tumblr media
THIS WAS THE PART I WAS LOOKING FOR IN THE SCRIPTS WHICH MADE ME GO “I actually don’t remember writing any of this, I should do a reaction reading of my own scripts” BGJASDK
Tumblr media
I HC that this is tied to how Ramsey lost his eye in this universe :3c
Tumblr media
trying to write Ramsey’s voice was STUPID hard; I kept mixing Zora’s voice + accent and Will’s (Ramsey’s) voice + accent and those REALLY DO NOT MIX
there’s an improv game called “the hardest game in the world” where you have to mix two accents and now I see why it’s called that
Tumblr media
this is 9x funnier when you consider the types of commissions Ramsey is known for
Tumblr media
1. I am very proud of myself for figuring out a way to swap Zora’s speech
2. I got SO close to making Ramsey call Zora a “Stardew Valley character” but decided against it because I wasn’t sure if SDV was too much of a passing trend that’d become irrelevant. now I kinda regret that decision because it probably would’ve been funnier and it’s not like these were made for posterity
Tumblr media
another small jab at Jello for THE INCONSISTENCY OF ERASER CUFFS
Tumblr media
ok so
I originally had Percy as Sylvie’s daughter just because 1) I thought for some reason maybe that was a thing in the AU??? I think it was actually people going “haha swap!Sylvie would totally adopt swap!Percy on sight” but then like it turned into an ACTUAL thing in my head, and then 2) it provided a VERY good excuse to get the police into the museum in the museum arc because nobody ever calls the police or trips the fire alarm
but then by the time we hit this part, I was 1) in love with the Ashling-King family unit, and 2) thought that having Percy around really added motivation to Sylvie’s character, and also gave another dynamic to the bond between him and Zora, which is just (chefs kiss)
Tumblr media
I had a split-second heart attack about “WAIT HOW DO I GET THE CUFFS OFF ZORA, SHE CAN’T HAVE HER ARM CHOPPED OFF BECAUSE I DON’T THINK SHE COULD REGROW THAT/EVEN IF SHE DID IT’D BE GRAPHIC, AND RAMSEY’S NOT EVEN TRYING TO CUT HER HE’S TRYING TO TURN HER TO GOLD—” before I remembered that gold is soft enough to bite through and I was like aw yes nevermind, I got this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
hehehe :3
I knew I wanted a plot twist of some kind during the final battle because people wouldn’t be expecting it, but nothing that would impact the story, and this ended up working perfectly
also you know we had to get Beefton in there somewhere! :D
Tumblr media
I, personally, think the gold cracks are a REALLY cool idea
everyone thank goldbricker-ramsey for that one
Tumblr media
THE FACT THAT ZORA IS STILL TALLER THAN HIM KILLS ME
Tumblr media
I do not remember deciding that the height chart was Zora -> Ramsey -> Sylvester but that’s how it is I guess
Tumblr media
we decided (and by “we” I mean Mari) that since canon Zora hates kids, of course swap!Zora must LOVE them, hence her softening up around Sylvie a lot once she learns he has a daughter :’)
Tumblr media
the hardest swap of the Museum arc was Mera and Indus because they were TOTAL OPPOSITES
the hardest swap of the Redwood arc was Ramsey and Zora because they were the EXACT SAME ENERGIES
Tumblr media
again... I felt there was just a liiiiittle bit missing with canon Percy and Ramsey’s dynamic, and for me personally, this moment fills that missing bit in. but that’s just me and this IS my writing, so XD
Tumblr media
so, just as a heads-up, apparently the people who did the audiobooks changed around some of these minor-character (well, “not-yet-revealed character”) swaps
and since they know the AC characters better than me, I’d proooooobably go ahead and use their swaps if this project ever did continue?? hypothetically??? basically these last bits are all still malleable
Tumblr media
I wrote this entire scene with Trixie and Phoenicia before someone pointed out that Trixie and Phoenicia already had swaps in this universe
*facedesks*
Tumblr media
probably not. but hey!! it was super fun!!! the most fun I’ve had in a LONG time, actually. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a project as much as the Epithet Switched scripts.
Spliinkles thank u for letting me take ur awesome idea and just run wild with it, writer brain went brrrrrr and it was such an absolutely fantastic experience that I can only hope I get to relive :’)

Justice league Snydercut review
Tumblr media
Wow talk about a long movie. Remember Mass Effect's 3 shit endings that were later improved (sorta) with DLCs. Well that is kinda how this movie is.
Before we start this, I just wanna say that I was very impartial throughout the whole snydercut movement. I wasn't part of it but I do see the good that they did in regards to some of their charities and with how the fandom itself has been painted in a negative light. So its good that they got what they have been demanding for quite some time. Snyder as director for me, I really am not the biggest fan of. His movies have some great cinematic moments that look amazing but the context around it is what muddles it for me.
Is it better than Whedon's JL? YES. To start I'll look at some of the things that I do like.
I do like how it was split into parts.  Gives it that miniseries/Comic book feel
Thank god they removed that stupid cringy flash landing on top of Diana's chest scene.
Darkseid looks good. I know some people have issues with it but I liked it. I mean looking at it first glance has me convinced its Darkseid. His voice isn't too bad either. Reminds me a bit of Injustice 2.
As much as I have issues with Darkseid being introduced so early I do like that he had a brief confrontation/glaredown with the League, foreshadowing a possible in person encounter and that the League needs to expand if they are going to fight against Darkseid.
Steppenwolf's design has greatly improved and looks better than before.
Loved the scenes between Alfred and Diana.  Wish there was more of that.
I loved how the movie added Cyborg, Aquaman and Flash attempting to stop Superman from getting to Batman. I also liked how in this version,  Batman pleading to Clark's humanity telling him that world needs him and he needs to snap out of it.  Also bonus for taking out that scene of Batman on the ground groaning about how old he is getting.
Okay seeing Clark get the black suit and having the voiceovers of both his father's merge together works in terms of Clark's arc into becoming the person he was meant to be. Also like the use of Zimmerman's Ideal of Hope score wished they let it play out a little longer.  Probably my favourite moment in the film is where Superman just takes Steppenwolf's Axe like its nothing and freezes it.
Tumblr media
Now to go into some of the more critical stuff that bugged me when watching.
For a movie that is 4 hours long, pacing issues were bound to happen. I think the first example of this can be found in the opening with the Superman scream wave (which started to get a bit hilarious when his screams could be heard every now and then) hitting all three mother boxes. they are shown individually reacting to it and it takes time, where it could have just showed them together or an compilation of each of the motherboxes waking up. I know it Snyder's thing but tone down on the slow mo. Like some instances its fine (like with bullet time or Flash's scenes) but other instances I'm just like alright I get it.
The scene involving Cyborg transferring money into that single mother's bank account. Is he gonna do this for all the people suffering just like her? or just for that one person? I mean if you can hack into the world monetary system, you can solve a lot of financial issues affecting  the majoirty and not just one person. Did I miss the scene but why did Cyborg go from helping one poor person, suggesting the potential good he can do to change the world for the better  to "Fuck the world". Seems a bit inconsistent in character. Especially since he knows who Diana is (from what he says)  and that Parademons are after the motherbox. Maybe her offering help, you should take it? idk Vic. Also the whole Auto defense system malfunction, would it not be better if this was established beforehand where we see Vic struggling to maintain his body's autonomy leading up to the Superman confrontation? Prior to that it seemed he had it under control and his biggest conflict throughout the movie seemed more to be with him coming to terms with his new body. With that being said, Cyborg's character here is much more interesting and better than it was originally. I can see why Ray Fisher is so pissed (well that and the abuse he faced).  I am glad this was improved and gave the character a lot more to do.
The movie still has the same issue as before in regards to the whole motherbox plot and how convenient it was that all three are located on earth. You would think that with the involvement of Darkseid/Steppenwolf that separating them to distinct locations across space would make it more difficult to collect them. I mean we know that the Green Lanterns exist (we saw one get chomped), you'd think that they or the guardians would take one and secure it on Oa. The pushback to this would be "well there was only one green lantern and he died, so how could they retrieve the box?" which begs my question, why send only one? I mean it has been established that Darkseid is a known conqueror of worlds, you'd think the Guardians would be smart enough to send more than one Lantern to aid Earth in their fight.  Did they not think it would be a good idea to have the corps be more involved/keep an eye on earth since it is the only planet that was able to repel Darkseid's forces?
Tumblr media
Why is it that the best idea of security when it comes to humans is to bury it? Would it not be better in optics to look over it and know its location instead of dropping it somewhere on the off chance that someone might find it due to being  curious or the land changing/altering  making the box more easy to attain? A situation as dire/serious as this, you would think that the Amazons/Atlanteans would have been better prepped with armor/weapons for such an event. I mean you have the arrow of Artemis that shoots quite a distance to give Diana a message but not some kind of weapon that hurts/cripples Steppenwolf? Or better yet, how about the moment that the boxes started acting up after Superman's death, that Atlantis/Themiscarya would put aside any differences they had with one another and to the outside world to come together to secure the boxes?  How could Darkseid forget the name of the only planet that was able to force him to retreat? nor does he know that it harbors the anti life?
Did this movie break Aquaman's continuity? because from the dialogue between Mera and Arthur, its implied that Atlanna abandoned/left Arthur at Tom's doorsteps whereas in the movie,  we see Atlanna spend a couple of years with Tom and raising baby Arthur before she was forced to come back. You'd think Zack being a producer for the Aquaman  movie would have edited that line or made it more clear. Well that or James Wan F'ed up when making the movie.
"I've never seen a being as strong as Steppenwolf" Did Diana just forget Ares aka the god of war who killed the Greek Pantheon/Old gods and orchestrated the first World War? Hell from the looks of the flashback it seemed Ares (I'm assuming its Ares, if its Hades, my bad) was getting some good hits in on Darkseid, who is superior to Steppenwolf.  While we are on the topic of Diana, it's a bit odd that Snyder who  was a producer on WW84 where one of the biggest focuses on the movie that Patty Jenkins talked about was how Diana doesn't solve her problems with violence (even though her primary weapons in this movie are a sword and shield but okay. Then again New 52 hasn't done a good job in disproving that), yet in this movie we see her using her gauntlet smash to fucking kill the one remaining terorrist. Like sure you can argue that they were terrorists and deserve to die, but given how easy and quick it was for her to take out the previous guys, why do something that runs the risks of destroying the very building that you are in (with hostages). I mean from the look of the blast and how much debris fell from the building outside, and it was a miracle no one (but the terrorist) got hurt/killed.
Why did Steppenwolf  kidnap  them in the first place? Just use that mind extracting device you used on the Atlantean soldier to see if they know. Seems like a waste of time to collect them in one location only to interrogate them later.
Okay, I'm sorry but even in this cut I still don't like Miller's Barry Allen. He isn't as bad as he was in the theatrical cut but man does it stick out. When he is helping to escort the kidnapped civilians out, why doesn't he just grab them and transfer them to a safe distance? He even makes a comment about how slow they are going. Can I also just say how weird it is for Barry to take time saving Iris to caress her hair and look at her more creepily in slow mo? Like yeah its in slow mo but still I think your priority should be to get everyone to safety as quick as possible and check if anyone else could get hurt.  I will admit that Barry's speech as he is running so fast to reverse time at the end was really good. Tho the more I think about all the slow mo Flash scenes are good.
Tumblr media
They still kept the "Let's use the mother box to bring back Superman plot". Why? This is a piece of tech that you don't fully understand how it works and you are going on the whims of someone you just met. Especially if they come back as a different person/mindset all together.  If Superman 's death was the reason that allowed for the Mother box to call to Steppenwolf/Darkseid, what the hell were they doing prior to Superman's arrival on earth? I mean we've seen how easy it was for Steppenwolf to attain the two boxes even if they were guarded, so why the wait ?. I get that Batman is going through an arc and trying to change from the person he was but how does go from "1% chance of absolute certainty" to "let's go on a whim and have faith" when it comes to resurrecting Superman?
Its gonna be awkward as to how Clark will explain his sudden return from the grave around the same time Superman came back.
I was wondering when the Knightmare scene will play out. Jared leto's Joker isn't over with me, it seems way too try-hard to be edgy. Other than that yeah, not much I can say about it. Tho do we seriously need another iteration where Superman (or someone with Superman like powers) is evil?
I also love how nonchalant Bruce is about J'onn appearing in front him. However the revelation that J'onn was that army general all the time breaks so much of continuity (and just why now did you decide to show up and help and not idk the time Zod invaded and nearly  terraformed earth, HELL WHY TF DIDN'T SHOW UP TO HELP THE LEAGUE IF YOU KNEW ABOUT DARKSEID, I'M SORRY TO RAG ON BUT REALLY THIS CAMEO JUST OPENS UP SO MANY QUESTIONS, IT JUST SEEMS LIKE AN "PALPATINE WAS BEHIND THIS ALL ALONG" KIND OF THING ).
Tumblr media
In terms of getting a sequel, I am not sure if WB is going to go through with it given that their current vision seems to be a different route than the one Snyder intended so who knows. Despite my criticisms I do believe this is Snyder's best DCEU film to date and probably one of his better films. You could tell that he put in a lot to make this. The movie itself does have issues mostly due to the plot surrounding the motherbox as well as pacing. I would say it's worth the watch at least once, though I think its best to watch it in doses rather than one sitting. Ultimately this is the version that we should have gotten and I can see why so many people who were supportive of Zack wanted or vouched for him to finish it. Regardless, I think the very least I am happy for Snyder. If you like Snyder's previous stuff, you will like this one, if you don't, your perception of the film won't change significantly other than some cool bits here and there.

Redwood Run: Thoughts
I have a LOT of thoughts on Redwood Run as an arc. While it did make the show more interesting and expand upon the world of Epithet Erased, compared to the Museum arc, I strongly feel that there’s a clear discrepancy between the two. So, without further ado, here’s my personal list of the top pros and cons of Redwood Run! (Warning: LONG POST)
Things I LOVED about the Redwood Run arc:
How strong each character was in their personality and inner alignment. Percy is lawful good, and you can DEPEND on her to always follow through with that. She’ll follow her duty to the law until the end, even when it means putting away Ramsey at the end of the arc (someone she’s grown a friendship with). Likewise, Ramsey is a true neutral through and through: he’ll do whatever is best for HIS safety, HIS well-being, and he’ll switch to whatever side of the law will help him do that. Zora, I think, is lawful evil: even her motivation still seems to imply that she wants to be a villain and do villainous things… she just wants the playing field to be equal. And when she breaks her own rules, she shows remorse and calls the battle a draw, rather than going for an easy win. Even Howey Honeyglow is a lawful neutral, with his sole motivation and personality trait being WORK. He doesn’t care if you’re a villain or a cop, you’d better darn well DO YOUR JOB-- and just like the primary characters, it’s his steadfast dedication of staying true to himself that makes him likable.
The foreshadowing. Okay, some of it (like Percy’s explanation of eraser cuffs and Ramsey writing a note to himself) was pretty obvious, but Ramsey’s initial plan of “Zora can’t get me if I’m already locked up” is itself foreshadowing to what will happen to him at the end of the arc!
The worldbuilding. Even if there are quite a few plot holes in regards to how Eraser Cuffs™ work (wouldn’t Mera have been confused if she forgot her own epithet? Why does Ramsey remember Percy’s, and in that case, can’t criminals just remind each other of their epithets? Why does Percy know that building two or three towers will knock her out, when supposedly she doesn’t remember anything about her powers?), I still love that we get to see more of the world these characters live in.
The peril. I thought it’d be hard to live up to the Museum Arc’s level of intensity without sacrificing originality, but the writing does a pretty good job of this, albeit by laying down some rules that may or may not make total sense in the context of the Museum Arc. (For instance, the fact that guns only deal minor impact damage-- this helps explain away a lot of the initial danger of the Bonzai Blasters, and also makes Zora a uniquely strong/scary character in that her guns can ACTUALLY kill people.)
The set-up of the rest of the story. While I thought Episode 4 had a much better conclusion than 7, I can’t deny that the end of 7 made me really want to see where the rest of the story goes... And that’s the main purpose of a season finale, isn’t it? Good job, Jello. I’m now literally taking on a freelance webpage design job so that I can afford VRV using your link.
Things I DIDN’T love about the Redwood Run arc:
The side villains. I have to admit, Bugsy and Arnold, as well as all their minions, kind of disappointed me. It’s just a personal preference, but none of their jokes hit quite like I think they were supposed to, and I found myself waiting for their bits to be over whenever they showed up onscreen. Unlike the Museum Arc, where I was deeply invested in every character presented (except the other kids and Molly’s dad, who you’re SUPPOSED to loathe), a lot of the side characters just fell flat. The bartender wasn’t really funny either (although the cat was), and the only tertiary character I really liked was Howey Honeyglow-- although he wasn’t perfect either, for the purposes of something I’ll talk about last.
The epithets. There’s something called “the promise of the premise,” which consists of the gimmicks that make a show unique before you get into the characters, plot, ect. Basically, it’s the fun, gimmicky hook that makes people want to watch the show in the first place. Sadly, it’s a common phenomenon that after the first season (or arc, in this case), shows quickly lose sight of their own premise under the weight of all the OTHER stuff they’re excited to show off. For Epithet Erased, the gimmick is (obviously) the existence of “epithets:” words tied to a person’s soul that give them powers. The thing is, while there are plenty of inscribed characters in the show, only one of them actually takes advantage of the promise of the premise: Molly. Why? Because what separates an ~inscribed~ from any other show’s superheroes is that their powers are derived from the word itself… giving opportunities for a set of powers based on a word with multiple meanings. Molly’s epithet is “dumb,” which can mean simple (hushabye), stupid (dumb hypnosis), or quiet (silence bubble). Unfortunately, no other characters take advantage of their epithets in this way, and since Molly isn’t in Redwood Run, the “promise of the premise” kind of dies out, making epithets no different than Marvel superpowers or Quirks from Boku No Hero Academia.
The swearing. I know a lot of people will roll their eyes at me for this, but hear me out. The reason that swearing is effective in episode 4 of the Museum Arc was because you aren’t expecting it. The show is almost entirely clean up until that point, so when Mera swears, you’re startled, and it effectively emphasizes her pain. (The only weak swearing before this, if you even count it, is when Giovanni lectures Molly in episode 2-- also a very emotional moment.) Likewise, when Percy steps up with her REAL-***, ******* SWORD, it’s hysterical, because you’re so used to the vibe of a children’s cartoon that it completely throws you to hear a “real” weapon being spoken about in a “real” manner. (Plus there’s the added bonus that it’s Percy, which becomes funnier the more you get to know her.) That’s, like, level 99 humor right there. But then Redwood Run comes along, and… it’s not SUPER often, but characters swear in non-funny, and non-emotional scenes all the time, and you get pretty numb. I think the same effect of the Museum Arc is intended when Zora harshly swears (and is either cut off or censored) during the final battle, but it didn’t work on me. By then I’d heard so much casual swearing, I fully expected it. (And I usually like the gag where it cuts from a character just before they swear, but again, it’s not funny when you see it coming.) Not to mention the fact that I got my little cousin into the show after watching the Museum Arc and dubbing it safe for her age range (she’s a mature kid, been through a lot, reminds me of Molly), but then felt really awkward when we started watching Redwood Run and the swearing was just… there. For no reason. (I know a lot of people don’t care about this, but for the record, she didn’t like it either. Personality-wise, I relate a lot to Percy and my cousin takes after me, so it just made the whole show less enjoyable for us overall.)
All in all, Redwood Run is still an objectively good (and enjoyable!) arc, with the solid writing, characters, and dialogue outweighing the negatives. But I’m picky about what I invest my time into, and if I’d seen Redwood Run before the museum arc… well, let’s just say I wouldn’t have stuck around long enough to be signing up for VRV.

Not that a piece of shit like Piers Morgan deserves a response (this whole mess started with him attacking that Gillette ad and defending “boys will be boys” by the way) but I do think it’s depressing that he decided to say completely false shit about Aquaman. I have to assume this dumbass didn’t even see the movie, and if he did, he wildly misunderstood it.
“a ripped, topless, ultra-macho, trident-bearing superhero”
Okay, Jason Momoa is ripped. He’s also topless a lot in the movie. Being topless does not make him a representation of whatever masculinity it is that Dumbass Piers is trying to defend. First of all, I think he was topless so they could show off his tattoos, and make it clear to the audience that Arthur is Polynesian and that culture is important to him. Second, it’s the reversal of gender roles. Superhero movies have been doing this a lot more lately, where the men are shirtless and ladies get to oggle them. So him being ripped and shirtless is for the female gaze, not for Piers Morgan to have his male power fantasy that he clearly enjoys so much.
Ohhhh boy how I reject the “ultra-macho” description of Arthur. WOWWW I hate it. Arthur is a hardass, obviously. He knows how to fight and he’s good at it. Fighting bad guys does not immediately translate into this hyper macho alpha male that this idiot is talking about. Arthur’s whole journey in this movie is learning that fighting is not always the answer. He is able to get past the Karathan by talking to her, not fighting her. He recognizes his mistake in letting Manta’s father die. He spares Orm’s life at the end because he rejects that kind of punishment. He tells Orm he’s willing to talk to him so they can work things out. Just because Jason Momoa is buff as hell does not make him a male power fantasy.
While Piers is talking about that Gillette ad that promotes better treatment of women, let’s also mention how Arthur treats women in the movie. Arthur never does anything to Mera that made her uncomfortable. He never hit on her just because she was hot, never commented on her appearance, never touched her without consent. He completely respected Mera, thanked her when she saved his father, never once discounted her abilities. As for his mother, he spent his whole life missing and loving her, even if he barely got the chance to know her. When he reunited with her, he fell into her arms, and he cried. Arthur is never weak for showing this love, affection, and respect towards women.
“who wins his girl (you) by killing everyone.”
Nice of Piers to reduce Mera’s character to “his girl” that’s not demeaning at all. It completely ignores the fact that Mera is the catalyst for the whole movie, and is far more than just a love interest. Arthur does not “win” Mera. Their relationship is based on mutual respect and growing together. Mera falls for Arthur because he was brave and kind. Piers would have you believe that after Arthur kills a bunch of people, Mera falls into his arms like a swooning damsel.
“killing everyone” I have to laugh. This dumbass did not see this movie. Arthur fights a battle, yes, but he only fights the battle for as long as he has to, and then it’s just between him and Orm, WHOSE LIFE HE SPARES.
So yeah, I didn’t intend to make a post today about the masculinity in Aquaman and the obvious feminist themes but Piers Morgan decided to say that Arthur is a male power fantasy and promotes his ideals of toxic masculinity and I’m just not down with that.

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K, a review
(Disclaimer: The following is a non-profit unprofessional blog post written by an unprofessional blog poster. All purported facts and statement are little more than the subjective, biased opinion of said blog poster. In other words, don’t take anything I say too seriously.) Just the facts 'Cause you're in a Hurry! Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP): 50 USD Digital Copy (MSRP): 17.99 USD for 12 episodes How much I paid: 83.98 USD for Physical copy and an Amazon Video digital copy. Animation Studio: J.C. Staff Licensed and Localized by: Funimation Entertainment Audio: Japanese Audio with Subtitles and English Dub available.   English Cast: Jerry Jewell as Saiki Kusuo, David Weld as Nendo, Chuck Huber as Kuniharu Kusuo, Tia Ballard as Teruhashi, Megan Shipman as Chisato Mera, Morgan Garrett as Kurumi Saiki, Micah Solusod as Shun Kaido Number of Episodes: 24 Episodes Length per Episode: 25 Minutes on average. 21 Without Intro and Ending song. Number of Discs: 4 Blu-ray Discs in total Episodes per Disc: Episodes 1-9 on the first Blu-ray disc with Episodes 10-12 on the second Blu-ray disc along with the special features. Episodes 13-21 on 3rd Blu-ray disc and Episodes 22-24 on 4th. Bundle also includes: Digital Copy that can be redeemed on Funimation Now. Also on: Netflix, Google Play, Amazon Video, Funimation Now, Funimation’s streaming service that requires a subscription. Bonus Features: Textless Openings, Textless Ending and Trailers for other Funimation Licensed Shows. Episode 1 Commentary. Episode 24 commentary. Notable Localization Changes: Because of the nature of the dub, the voice performers are considerably slower than their Japanese counterparts and may annoy viewers. The English script uses multiple puns and other wordplay to add humor. (i.e. when Saiki addresses his father dressed up in a Santa outfit, he replies “You’re a lost Claus”. When Saiki takes off his transparent gloves to psychically read an object, he goes “But now the gloves are off!”) In Episode 24, Chiyo’s dialogue changes to “You jerk-ass writers! You couldn’t come up with any clever ideas so you had to dig through a bin of tired tropes?” My Personal Biases: I never heard of Saiki K until I saw an advertisement in a My-Hime blu-ray and seeing him featured on the roster of J-Stars Victory Vs. My Verdict: Saiki K manages to spin multiple plates at once by delivering a memorable character, establishing his powers and giving the audience gut busting dialogue masterfully executed. If you can forgive J.C. staff’s lackluster animation, you’ll have a good time. Check it out when you get the chance! The Disastrous Life of Saiki K, a review

youtube
During the summer of 2016, 2 shows about psychics premiered. One was the hit juggernaut, Mob Psycho 100, praised for its beautiful animation, interesting characters and take on psychic characters. The other show was J.C. Staff’s The Disastrous life of Saiki K, an anime adaptation of a gag manga found in Weekly Shounen Jump. Saiki Kusuo is a 16 year old psychic with all the powers known. He possess telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation, psychokinesis and other traits not even mentioned. He’s seemingly the luckiest boy in the world… or it would seem. In reality, Saiki is, in his own words, the most miserable boy in the world. The show opts to answer of a character having an overpowered skill-set by giving said character new problems. Having telepathy means being spoiled on movies and video games. Having super strength and super intelligence means having to balance the skills just so he appears mediocre in school. Having telekenisis means having an unreliable father who constantly begs for help. The trick is that Saiki’s narration is always constant and we’re allowed to hear the other character’s internal thoughts, while Saiki himself provides commentary. It should also be noted that we never ‘see’ Saiki’s mouth move, implying he’s communicating via telepathy. (It also helps that Saiki’s powers come with a number of limitations. For example, he can restore something back to its original state but it takes a day to recharge). As Saiki explains his powers to us, we’re also allowed to hear the other characters and why they’re doing what they’re doing and how Saiki wants nothing to do with them… or does he?
youtube
Yes, the formula of ‘jerk suddenly wants to do the right thing’ is easy, but Saiki K makes it work. See, Saiki constantly doesn’t want to draw attention towards himself for fear of things such as experimentation and paparazzi, and the path of least resistance is usually the best and easiest for him. But, seeing each of the side character’s constant struggles and dedication moves him. At the same time, allowing us to be with Saiki also lets us see the hypocrisy of his own actions and how the seemingly all knowing psychic can’t see past his own weaknesses or nonsense. At one point, Saiki is set to swindle a salesman out of an expensive television, but Saiki’s weakness for coffee jelly damns the effort. Granted, I’m an easy target for the ‘jerk with a heart of gold’ trope and Saiki’s sarcasm is on the level of Justin Cook’s interpretation of Yusuke Urameshi, but it all looks easy. Each episode contains 5 segments detailing a certain obstacle in Saiki’s life (though certain segments such as a trip to Okinawa can last over multiple segments and episodes). We usually go into problem of the segment issues, but Saiki’s powers shows us how it affects him differently. It’s a Slice of Life for superpowered teens. Things like a noisy neighbor or a cute girl are usually pains in the ass for Saiki. The supporting cast also impressed me a great deal. For example, anyone that’s followed me online knows popular girls such as Sachiko from Maria watches over us or Chikane Himemiya from Kannazuki no Miko tend to annoy me, but Teruhashi isn’t just popular and pretty, but so dedicated to the part of keeping appearances, she’s willing to debase herself and eat disgusting ramen. At the same time, Saiki, because of his powers is so off-put by Teruhashi’s uncanny ability to get what she wants that he’s willing to alienate her, but he’s slowly won over by her commitment. It works. The rest of the cast also compliment Saiki in interesting ways. Nendo, despite being so dumb that not even Saiki can read his mind, has a genuine good heart and tries to help his single mother. Kaido, despite being a weakling and possessing no powers of his own, shows genuine courage in the face of danger. Hairo, despite being an overly excited jock who’s super competitive, is dedicated to the point of being an actual leader. Toritsuka, a spirit medium who can see ghosts but would rather see girls’ underwear, feels like a side character meant to become a lead in a spin-off. If the show has a weak spot, it’s definitely the animation. Don’t go into this show expecting the animation to be the same quality as Mob Psycho 100. Still shots, panning movements and lazy animation make it clear that animating the show was not a priority. I give this a pass because action is clearly not the emphasis of the show, humor is. And there’s just enough there in the editing, the music and the voice acting (both the original Japanese and the dubbed) to make it work. Funimation Entertainment did the localization of the show. For the most part, the English script stays as close to the original Japanese as much as possible. The English script uses multiple puns and other wordplay to add humor or change jokes that wouldn’t work in English. (i.e. when Saiki addresses his father dressed up in a Santa outfit, he replies “You’re a lost Claus”. When Saiki takes off his transparent gloves to psychically read an object, he goes “But now the gloves are off!”) Jerry Jewell as Saiki is noticeably slower in his delivery than the Japanese Seiyuu but Jewell’s use of deadpan as well as adding the appropriate amount of emotion at the right time more than makes up for it. (Fans may recognize Jewell from other Funimation roles such as Jimmy Kudo in Case Closed and Licht in Black Clover) Mainstays such as David Wald as Nindo, Kyle Phillips as Hairo, Megan Shipman as Mera and Chuck Huber as Kuniharu all add to the work. Tia Ballard (who plays Marron in Dragon Ball Super) is especially good in playing Teruhashi. THE ORIGINAL JAPANESE AUDIO WITH SUBTITLES IS AVAILABLE FOR THOSE WHO PREFER IT. CAVEAT: I don’t know if Saiki K is anything revolutionary in terms of comedy in the age of Nichijou, Lucky Star, and K-on! It’s a cheaply produced anime based off a gag manga. But, I’d be lying if I didn’t have a hell of a time watching it. It takes skill to balance exposition, character motivation and humor into 24 episodes, but Saiki K makes all look effortless. 50 USD for 24 episodes is steep, but I loved every moment of it. Plus, the bundle also includes a Funimation Digital copy that can be redeemed on Funimation Now, the company’s streaming service. Verdict: If you’re not sure, try checking it out for free on Crunchyroll or if you already have a Netflix subscription, check it out there.

So my friend thinks that Arthur and Mera's relationship in Aquaman was rushed, forced, awkward and cheesey *snorts* do you have an argument against all that?
Rushed? Forced? Rushed? Forced? RUSHED? FORCED? I have never seen a more natural romance in any fandom, and coming from me and my countless fandoms, that is saying something. And if your friend thinks Aquamera is awkward and cheesy, I can’t even begin to imagine what they think perfectly natural and beautiful looks like. But let’s start at the beginning, shall we?
(Under a cut because this got long because I have feelings about this, and I also added some photographic evidence, because FEELINGS)
When they met, did they immediately hit it off? Nope. But not because of each other. Arthur had a resentment against Atlantis as a whole, but he still respected her, and when she saved his dad, he was genuinely grateful and listened to her because of it. She had her doubts about him being Atlantis’s next true king because he’d never been to Atlantis, but unlike most Atlanteans (even Arthur’s own brother), she never once called him a half-breed mongrel bastard son, and she trusted Vulko enough to give him a chance. So not a perfect start, but the foundations are solid.
Fast forward to the attack on the safehouse. She genuinely tried to rush out to protect him – it was Vulko who held her back, and she hesitated to leave him all the same. And when she called him an imbecile to Orm? She was protecting him (or trying to, anyway), not insulting him, because even though she did believe it at the time, she wouldn’t have said it to his face otherwise. Then when Orm called her his betrothed in front of Arthur? The way their faces fell. She didn’t want to marry Orm, and he already liked her enough to be hurt by the revelation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I mean look at this. Does that look like a woman who’s happy about her engagement, or a man who doesn’t care that she’s engaged to his brother?)
And then when he was fighting Orm. The way she rushed off to save him. (I don’t have a pic at the moment but that wasn’t the face of someone who didn’t care.) That wasn’t the action of someone who didn’t care. The safehouse was one thing – a few soldiers she could’ve killed to keep them silent. But she saved Arthur from Orm in front of the entire kingdom (or at least a big chunk of it). There’s no coming back from that, as she told him on the plane. Mera gave up her home to save Arthur.
Cut to the plane, where he’s genuinely listening to her and not at all taking lightly what she gave up for him, right before jumping out of a moving plane without a parachute to follow her through the frickin’ Sahara Desert (not a good place for Atlanteans!) even though he was convinced she was lost. And even though she could’ve, she never said “I told you so” after he fell into the ruins.
And when they held hands? It was instinctive. He just grabbed her to protect her, and he didn’t even notice until he saw her looking. They’d known each other, what, a day? And they were already that comfortable and familiar with each other’s presence. It was also here, when she said “You do your best thinking when you’re not thinking at all” and he said “Something something trident,” that her attitude towards him made the final shift from annoyed to affectionately amused.
Sicily. SICILY. THE WAY HE LOOKED AT HER!!! She was adorable and excited and he loved it. Not because she was seeing the good in his world, but because she was happy. AND! THE! FLOWER! It’s not just anyone that you eat a flower for, solely because you don’t want them to feel awkward and ruin their happiness. It was also here that she started to truly understand him – why he loved the surface world so much, how smart and brave he really is beneath the devil-may-care act.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I mean look at this!! Look at them!! They’re not even making eye contact!! This is just how they watch the other when they’re not looking!!!)
She was genuinely impressed by his knowledge of the statues, and you cannot tell me they wouldn’t have kissed (or at least almost kissed) after “Not bad for an imbecile, huh?” “Not bad at all” if Manta hadn’t so rudely interrupted them.
Tumblr media
(Tell me they’re not in love. Tell me they’re not ready to kiss each other. I DARE YOU.)
The way Arthur shoved her behind the column! Thinking of her safety before giving a single solitary thought to his! And the way she screamed his name when Manta blasted him away! She would’ve destroyed Manta right then and there if she’d had the chance, because at this point, Arthur is her imbecile. Which shows in the way she cradles him and begs him to wake up. Right after he used what might’ve been his last breaths to warn her. In agony and on the verge of passing out from being stabbed, slashed, burned, thrown off an exploding building, body slamming a massive bell, and more, Arthur’s only thought was Mera’s safety.
(She also put his hair into a bun when she was patching him up and I just love that so much for some reason.)
And the sunset conversation on the boat! She was encouraging him so hard, telling him that all of her doubts were gone, and she knew he would be the one to save her home and the world. And he trusted her. Maybe he didn’t believe her yet, but he trusted her confidence in him enough to face the same creatures that he thought killed his mother, an action akin to her giving up her home for him.
Don’t even get me started on the way they held hands before jumping off the boat, or before facing the vortex. They were already at the point where just holding the other, knowing they were beside them, gave them enough courage to face the army of monsters that had murdered Arthur’s mother and countless other Atlanteans before and after her. And when he jumped out of the water screaming her name!!! Again, Arthur’s only concern was Mera’s safety.
And she was so proud when he came out of the waterfall with Atlan’s trident! Proud, and relieved because she doesn’t want to lose him. And her confidence in him, the way she had come to fully embrace the human half everyone else detested – “Last time, he was in his element. This time, make him fight in yours.” The last Atlantean who told him to embrace his human half was his mother. So hearing Mera say that, and knowing she truly believes it? Would’ve meant the world to Arthur.
And the kiss!!! The battle kiss to end all battle kisses!!! The cinematography alone on that kiss holy crap. The way she grabbed him and kissed him, and he was surprised at first, but then his arms slowly rose to hold her waist- asdjkehfireufhur THE KISS. And how happy he was after, joking around when he’d been terrified the moment before, and she was joking around too, and was basically like “Don’t you dare die.” And again, during his rematch against Orm, Vulko had to hold her back from rushing to help him, because her first instinct is to protect him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I don’t have a pic of Arthur after the kiss, nor the room to put him in before it - curse the 10-pic limit - bUT LOOK AT HER! LOOK AT THE CHANGE IN HER ALONE! I’M!!!)
But lemme tell ya, as perfect as that battle kiss was, that’s not my favorite kiss. No, it’s the forehead kiss. Where Arthur’s just so happy she’s there that he can’t resist giving her a little peck on the top of the head, grinning like a lovestruck idiot the whole time, and the way she was glowing with happiness both when and after he did it. It doesn’t get any purer than that folks.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I know the quality sucks but look at this! Look at them! They’re in love!)
And it was all natural. There was no single jarring moment of “Oh, that’s when they fell in love.” She leapt into the ruins annoyed at his idiocy, but in every quip she made inside, you could hear the gradual shift to affectionate amusement. Every time their gazes linger on each other, it’s a little softer, a little more full of love, until that final kiss. There’s no grand quote like Starmora’s unspoken thing or Scarlet Vision’s “I just feel you.” They never even say the words “I love you.” Because they don’t need to. You can see and hear in their actions how much they love each other. It’s all subtext except in the moments where they’re actively thinking of it, but it’s still there, their love story is still there in every single scene. And frankly, no romance novel or movie could ever hope to top it.

Parmish Verma tied a knot with Canadian Politician Geet Grewal
Tumblr media
Parmish Verma, a Punjabi singer, married his fiancée Geet Grewal in a grand wedding celebration on October 19, 2021. The couple had a traditional Punjabi wedding complete with pre-wedding festivities such as Haldi, Mehendi, Sagan, and more.
His family and close friends attended the lavish wedding ceremony. Geet took her husband’s surname and suffixed her maiden name with Verma shortly after the wedding, while the singer changed his status to ‘No More Shada.’
In their ethnic wedding attire, the couple appears regal and radiant. The ‘Gaal Ni Kadni’ singer wore a light-colored sherwani with intricate embroidery work. He accessorized his attire with a red turban and a matching stole. His bride, on the other hand, chose a beautiful red lehenga with heavy work. Geet accessorized her outfit with bold ethnic jewelry such as mang tika, a heavy choker necklace, pakha, and more. Her red chooda with golden kalire and dark henna added even more grace to her overall look. Both of them looked simply amazing in their wedding outfits.
Geet Grewal, Parmish Verma’s bride, is a Canadian politician and lawyer. On October 16, the couple exchanged rings; Parmish shared the pictures of the same with his followers on his Instagram. The engagement ceremony was reportedly held in Canada. The wedding was a traditional Punjabi affair that took place a few days after the engagement party.
Parmish Verma posted on his Instagram story a day before the wedding that he might not be able to post all of the wedding photos right away because he wants to enjoy the joyous moments without distraction.
However, the talented singer spared some time to share the happy news with his fans and followers.
The ‘Dil Diyan Gallan’ star took to Instagram to share romantic photos from their wedding. Parmish Verma captioned the photos, “From this Moment on -P&G @geetgrewalverma.”

The singer also expressed gratitude to everyone for their good wishes. “Thank you for your blessings and warm wishes,” he said on Instagram.
Their pre-wedding festivities began with the Mehendi ceremony, which was followed by the Haldi. The singer had a great time at the functions with his family and friends.
Parmish Verma also bought his wife a Bentley car and posted a video of it on Instagram. He penned, “Thank you for inspiring me to be better for you. I love you, Babe. @grewalgeet_ Everything that I am or Ever Will be is for You.” Geet thanked him for the same and wrote, “Kalla Kalla Shonk mera shonk naal poorda. Thank you for my Bentley @parmishverma.”
Parmish’s social media handles are flooded with warm wishes and congratulatory messages from fans. One of his fans commented, “Oye Tu ta Tohar naal shdaa c ,” while another wrote, “Don’t play with my feelings like that, please.”
Parmish Verma is well-known for hit songs such as ‘Gaal Ni Kadni’ and ‘Chal Oye.’ He has also acted in some of the famous Punjabi films, including ‘Dil Diyan Gallan’ and ‘Rocky Mental.’
Both Parmish and Geet deserve our heartfelt congratulations. We wish the couple a lifetime of happiness…

Justice League thoughts (spoilers)
So, finally got around to seeing Justice League and honestly, I enjoyed it. Is it my favourite superhero movie? No, and it’s not even my favourite DCEU movie (Wonder Woman forever), but I had fun watching it, and it was definitely better than BvS and leagues better than Suicide Squad. So, pros and cons;
Pro:
1. Continuity: The movie did feel like a natural continuation of where the returning characters (Bruce, Diana and Clark) were as of BvsS. Diana as a hero still hesitant to lead because of Steve’s loss, Bruce’s guilt at his role in Clark’s death, and Clark’s relationships with Lois and his mother were all natural evolutions of their character paths.
2. Bruce and Clark: BvsS definitely was frustrating in how...sloppy Bruce and Clark’s tension and rushed resolution were. I admire that this movie leans into that a bit; acknowledging Bruce’s guilt, his view of Clark as more human than him, his need to resurrect him and his face when he thinks Clark has died again all felt very natural and Affleck sold Bruce as the kind of superhero Batman is; a guy amongst gods who gets up and does the job because it’s the job. Also Clark teasing him and his stumbled response was fantastic.
3. The tone: I’d seen a lot of comments that said this movie was “too jokey” but honestly I’d disagree. Yes, Bruce was funny, but he had a couple of moments of humour in BvsS, and it never got “too much” to me. Barry was undeniably a “comic” character, but he also had very emotional scenes with his dad. There were a few solid deep moments that the movie just let be deep (Lois and Clark reuniting and flying away, Clark and his mom, Barry and his dad, etc) instead of trying to hit with subversive humour and I appreciated that.
4. The fight scenes: there were some really good fight scenes. The fight with Mera, the one with the amazons trying to get the mother box away, and some of the teams slow mo set pieces were just great.
5. The plot was understandable: this is kind of a low bar to cross, but although I’d never say that the plot of this movie was its selling point, it was cohesive and easy to follow. Each character had an understandable motivation for being there, and the macguffin’s did actually integrate better than most.
6. The emotional investment: I’m not going to turn this post into a Marvel vs DC thing because in this house we love superhero movies equally, but I will say that I wasn’t emotionally involved at all in that lady and her kid that Quicksilver died for in Age of Ultron. But when the climatic battle here came, I was genuinely invested in someone saving that Russian family and the little girl with her bug spray. Full points for them for that. Also that kid was just precious and I love her.
7. Hype: They told a cohesive story, but they also did a good job at building interest for future solo movies. After this, I want to see more of Aquaman and Mera and Atlantis, I want to see a Flash movie, and a Cyborg movie, and I’d still like to see a Batfleck solo movie.
8. The music: the soundtrack was pretty great. A good mix of new and classic songs, that wasn’t as...on the nose a Suicide Squad, and fit well with the action.
9. The characters: everyone did great in their roles. Jeremy Irons as Alfred remains the greatest thing ever, JK Simmons is always good, and all of the main cast were excellent.
Then, of course, cons:
1. Steppenwolf: There was nothing extraordinary about the villain. He was powerful, he had an army, and he wanted to take over the world just because. We’ve seen that a million times. Also, he traveled by portal in the sky, cause we’ve never seen that. That said, this one is more minor honestly, because he didn’t need to be that memorable of a character. The movie needed to focus on getting the team together and it did, and if the expense of that was a boring villain then I’m mostly ok with it.
2. Male gaze: I think it’s possible I was so desensitized to the male gaze in films until Wonder Woman ripped my blinders off, and this film slapped it right back at me. The Amazon bikinis were there - both the armour bikini’s and the leather ones in the flashback of fighting Steppenwolf the first time - and they were really unnecessary. The armour from Wonder Woman felt like battle armour; this was bordering on fetish gear. And the way Diana was shot was just...I now know what colour Wonder Woman’s underwear is, info I really didn’t need. There was a lot of T&A, in her wardrobe and in the way the camera followed her, and it was just so unnecessary. Also the boob joke; it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting, but it added nothing and it wasn’t even really that funny. They would have lost nothing keeping it out, and it’s too bad they left it in.
3. Speaking of the Amazon Armour: I didn’t like how the Amazon’s were now wearing a really close variation of what Diana wears. Diana’s armour in Wonder Woman served to both connect her and set her apart from the rest of the Amazon’s, which was narratively relevant. Here, it makes it seem like she just grabbed the default “Amazon armour” garb and headed out. It’s a little thing but it really bugged me, and it felt creatively lazy.
4. The moustache: OMG that was...sometimes the CGI was ok, but there were a few scenes like the first video Clark is in and his heart to heart with Lois in the corn field that were super fucking noticeable. Like, his face looked like he was made of play dough, and given that those movements were supposed to have emotional weight, that was pretty unfortunate.
5. The Lex stinger: oh good, Eisenberg’s Lex is back, cause his character was so fantastic in BvsS...said no one ever. I’m definitely not interested in a League of Supervillains led by Mr. Jolly Rancher. That yacht was pretty great though.
6. Some of it was kind of rushed: the pacing was a little bit rushed, and given that the movie was supposed to be 3 hours and the final was 2 hours, I’m curious at what they cut. Audiences definitely would have been ok with a 2.5 hour movie, and I think some more intro for the new characters certainly would have been appreciated, as well as some narrative breathing room.
Mostly, Justice League is a “fine to good movie” that is only really disappointing in that it could have been a great one. It’s not forgettable or bland, but it definitely had some aspects that really could have been better. That said, I did genuinely enjoy it, and I’d definitely recommend it for a watch.

Tempest’s Really Cool Magical/Mystical Powers
hey what’s up it’s ya girl, here to rant obsessively about a new atlantean topic: magic!!! mostly about garth’s magic (and his other abilities) but with some general aqua-magic as well in order to set the scene!!
so let’s begin with a disclaimer  that I’m speaking almost entirely about pre-boot canon here. Because I am way more familiar with that canon, it has way more material to work with, and a lot of that material explains the magic. I will probably add to this post once we have learned more about reboot magic, but at the moment I have no idea how much of the original canon the dc writers are using in rebirth. Overall, it doesn’t seem to be similar to the older stuff.
In regards to Tempest’s powers, those will all be only in regards to preboot. His current backstory has gone through some major changes and, as you’ll read later on, this significantly affects his abilities.
another disclaimer: I probably didn’t proofread a lot of this/was drinking at times so I probably forgot stuff and will add things later.
so...an overview:
magic exists. this is an established fact. Atlantis makes use of technology and magic for their defenses. But Atlantis actually relies mostly on science than magic, unless the threat against them is also magical in nature. There are also religious groups -- Religion and magic, however, are not necessarily related concepts to Atlanteans. It’s important to note that magic users in Atlantis aren’t all that common.
Magic is hereditary, but it's not guaranteed
According to Tempest #3, the reason Garth is magical is because his “magic energies of his sorcerous ancestors” mixes directly with his genetic makeup. Unlike his forebearers, this means Garth is born with the ability to “manifest” some of his magical abilities. His abilities beyond “normal Atlantean abilities” (eg: underwater breathing, enhanced vision/hearing, etc) are caused by his genetic makeup.
Why is this interesting? Because essentially Garth hit the genetic lottery and managed to unlock some magical/mystical abilities before unlocking his birthright. This is weird. Nobody else in his family could do this.
Garth comes from a line of sorcerers-- both his father and uncle can use magic, and use it well. Atlan states that the abilities are already in Garth, however he cannot access all his powers without completing his training as well as performing a special ritual.
Additionally, his powers did not manifest until he was grown (as established by "Oceanus" in Brave and the Bold #10) which implies that the training had to come at a certain time to “unlock” those powers, even if he was “born with them.”
So this isn't like Harry Potter, where without Atlan's help Garth could have made glass disappear on Shamu's tank all willy-nilly. It takes a deliberate attempt to be trained in the art of magic at a specific age (it's unclear if it's always 18 years of age as it was with Garth) in order to gain magical abilities. Garth showed absolutely no signs of being magic when Atlan rescued him and whisked him away to train.
Had Garth not completed his birthright, he would not have been able to unlock all his magical abilities (I’ll talk more about those in a bit) This is an established canon fact. So while he had the potential, Garth may not have developed any control over his “natural” powers or even developed them at all!
This is also why everyone was so put off by Garth’s eyes -- it implied he had the potential to be a great sorcerer (and...other stuff. we’ll get to that in a bit) which is why the Idylists spread rumors that babies born with purple eyes were genetically inferior and should be put to death. Because Atlantis loves killing babies, they were all on board.
Additionally, this might explain why Arthur does not/cannot use magic-- assuming he does possess the potential for magical abilities (also assuming Atlan is his father-- obviously in other canons he is only Atlantean/Human and therefore nothing suggests he would be magical) then he may have missed the training threshold and lost his potential powers. He does gain a magical hand later on, but it was given to him by another magical entity and therefore doesn’t count in for this discussion.
The Idlyists had a magical king, but the kingdom of Atlantis has never claimed that their royalty can use magic. So royal blood is not an indication of magical abilities.
Back to training...there was an secretive Atlantean school city B’Miria (destroyed in the Black Baptism storyline) and its location was nowhere near Atlantis. B’Miria was the home of many powerful magic users, but it also appears tht their families live in the city as well. Yet another piece of evidence supporting the idea that you must start your training at a specific time in order to gain powers. Plus, almost every magic user seems to be an adult...it is possible that most magic users begin training upon reaching adulthood.
B’Miria was destroyed as were all its inhabitants. However, Garth is visited by every magical spirit who ever lived in the magical city so they could pass on their wisdom and knowledge to him and it could live on.
Now birthright rituals are probably all different. Garth’s birthright involved him stabbing himself in the heart, but that was only added because his people thought nobody would actually fucking do that (they were pacifists, so violence was not in their nature...unfortunately they didn’t take Garth’s self loathing and willingness to stab himself into account here) Presumably most others aren’t as intense and they just involve spells and reciting readings off scrolls and such. No idea. We literally only ever see Garth’s.
Some magic is based on spells, some on “energies” and others aren’t as clearly defined. But powers are defined by your genetic makeup -- someone not related to Garth or his ancestral line couldn’t shoot energy blasts for their eyes, for example.
Just because an Atlantean has unique abilities, does not mean those abilities are magical.
So this is where it’s a little weird, because there are characters who have abilities that are out of the norm, but don’t have magical origins. Again, it’s been established that magic is based on bloodlines and being lucky in your roll of the genetics dice.
Mera is not a magic user. The ability to manipulate water the way Mera and others from Xebel (Dimension Aqua for us die-hard Silver Age fans) do is actually an incredibly common ability in that dimension. Mera happens to be way more powerful than most people in Xebel, but because everyone there can do it, it’s not considered magic. You could call it hydokinisis.
Hard water constructs made by someone with connections to Xebel would not be considered magical powers. This is why Aquababy/Arthur Jr. can use hard water, but he possessed no magical abilities as far as we know.
This is also why Jackson Hyde can use hard water. He, too, possesses no magical abilities, but was given the powers of hard water.
Koryak does have the ability to control water, but has no connection to Xebel. This would be an example of water manipulation that is potentially magical. It may also be due to a really lucky genetic lottery like Garth, since he has the magical ancestry of Atlan.
Garth does not have the ability to use hard water, but he can manipulate water due to psychic powers he possesses. More on that later.
Telepathy is another ability that some Atlanteans possess that is not magical. Only certain characters display the ability and they are not connected by bloodlines or familial relation. Their telepathy also varies in power without explanation. It is most likely a dormant trait that expresses itself in some rare cases.
Aquaman has the most powerful telepathy. He is able to command sea life and even cause seizures with telepathy.
Garth has similar telepathy, but is nowhere near as powerful when he’s Aqualad. He also loses his abilities briefly (due to a mental block/mental illness) and is able to communicate with sea life but cannot command them. This does change later, but due to an increase in his mental abilities later on.
Tula has what is described as "limited telepathic abilities" and seems to be he only telepath with no royal blood which would eliminate the theory of telepathy being a royal trait (Tula was adopted by a royal family before Arthur took the throne, but has no royal blood)
Mera seems to also have a limited ability to communicate with sea life. As Mera is from Xebel (and generally considered an alternate dimension and not Atlantean) I don’t want to make any assumptions on her abilities in this case.
Additionally, neither Garth's nor Arthur's parents are shown to have telepathy. Again, proof against a "royal telepathy" theory. It's honestly probably just an ability that some Atlanteans are lucky enough to possess.
Garth && his really neat powers
Garth is an incredibly powerful wizard. He is often described as having incredibly potential, so everything he is shown doing in canon is implied to be only part of what he is truly capable of. He is also considered the most powerful sorcerer in Atlantis (and imo is one of the strongest magic users in the entire dc universe) In fact, Garth is said to be more powerful than his ancestors in terms of magic due to his powerful genetic makeup and the power of his ancestors. Basically he got a super lucky break. Although he had the potential for greatness, the reason he became so skilled as due to training. His mentor was Atlan, the Wanderer.
His training with Atlan lasted an undetermined amount of time in an alternate dimension where time passes differently -- Garth returns to his home dimension having aged years without more than a few minutes going by. We know it took several months for him to master is optic blasts alone (Tempest #1, 1996)
His training began shortly before Garth turned 18 -- we know this because it takes Slizzath 18 years to return to his home dimension, and Slizzath was killed when Berra, Garth’s mother, was with child. Since it’s later implied that Atlan has been monitoring Garth throughout his life, it’s safe to say Atlan picked the opportune moment to start training Garth. More evidence for powers manifesting only at certain ages.
Now, Garth had to perform a magical ritual in order to fulfill his birthright and receive the “energies of his ancestral energy pool” (Tempest #2) It involved plunging a dagger into his (pure) heart. This also happened to free his evil uncle, Slizzath who stole Garth’s powers. Garth had to defeat his uncle in order to rightfully gain access to all his abilities.
It should be noted that Garth is so much stronger than any of his ancestors. He literally just got lucky and became the most powerful Atlantean. Go figure.
All of these power descriptions are based on Tempest #3 and #4
What’s interesting is Tempest’s magical powers are specifically defined as non-Atlantean. Contextually, it means these are powers other Atlanteans do no possess (the issue before featured his “Atlantean powers” thus the distinction)
However, we know the following abilities were unlocked before claiming his birthright. As I said before, these are just his “you’re really fucking lucky” powers that he got before doing the ritual.
Optic Beams, which are powerful enough to stun something the size of about a grey whale (50 feet, 36 tons) or kill an average human. He can, however, adjust how powerful the blasts are. They are approximately one inch wide at the source, and can span up to 4 feet wide. Their max range is 320 feet. He cannot control the width (yikes!) and he cannot change their path (meaning they literally only go in a straight line, and only move if he moves his head)
Spells. Tempest claims that an invisibility spell was one of the first things Atlan taught him. He also claims to be able to turn people into other objects/animals, and can perform spells found in spell books. He can also “will things” to happen, as shown with his creation of his costume. It was a magical event that Garth didn’t actually seem to consciously attempt to do.
Abilities that came after he claimed his birthright fall into several categories:
Water Control:
Current Manipulation: Garth’s power over water is based on psionic (psychic) abilities. He can create and manipulate three different types of currents: drifts (slow moving and broad); streams (quick and narrow); and upwelling (bringing cold water from the bottom of the ocean upward). He can change the direction and temperature of currents, which also can affect the weather/create rough seas. He can also ride the currents, which allows him to move faster than he would be able to on his own (and why he’s faster than any Atlantean ships) or send objects along the currents.
Whirlpools: Tempest can essentially force two tides or currents together to create whirlpool that can reach about 12 feet wide. He can also create rapidly-moving funnels of water for various purposes. The example given in Tempest #2 is a battering ram.
Heat Generation via his left hand. This is also a psionic power, but it’s why his left hand is usually draw glowing yellow/orange. He can heat bodies or water or areas with a lot of moisture present. He can boil water approximately 5ftx9ft in area (and 12 ft below sea level) to about 320°F. His range is about 60 feet on this one...anything farther away and he doesn’t have much affect.
Cold Generation via his right hand. Same as his heat powers as they are psionic, but Garth is better at using cold than heat. He basically can remove heat from water until it freezes. He can create shapes such as spikes or walls and has way more control over his ice creations. His “signature creation” is an ice prison made of bars that can hold an average Atlantean captive. Again, his range is about 60 feet on this power. Basically Garth was the original Elsa, complete with anxiety issue and depression!!
Mystical Powers:
Mythical Detection of changes in the mythical fields around him. Garth can sense other magical uses, other magical events happening, or events that are going to happen. Sort of a “sixth sense” that he doesn’t have direct control over.
Occultism - this is referring more to Garth knowing the inner workings of secretive societies/cultures. Specifically, Atlantean magic (especially the information gained from B’Miria) and the knowledge of Atlan the Wanderer.
Postcognition. You know, the opposite of precognition. Garth is able to “see”/sense magical entities or even spells that have been cast nearby up to seven hours prior. This is useful in finding ways to reverse or counteract spells, or to track other magic users.
Telepathy. Talked a little about this before, but specifically after he completes his birthright Garth’s telepathy gets a huge power surge. He can use interpersonal as well as broadcast telepathy. They’re not technically considered magical, but maybe mystical? It’s still unclear why some Atlanteans can do this at all.
Telekinesis. His powers in this respect are limited, but Garth has been shown to be able to use his mind to draw poison out of somebody’s bloodstream and through their pores. So, like, that’s pretty badass.
Astral Projection. Super badass imo. Garth is able to not only astral project himself but can do it to others as well. Basically transferring consciousness to another body or form. Garth does this to himself and Arthur and then they swim through Arthur’s water hand. Super underused power imo.
Dimensional Travel/Portal Generation. Basically Garth can create or maintain portals to different dimensions. He can move himself through these portals, or move other people (or objects. like.........Atlantis, for example) They are incredibly difficult to keep open for long periods of time, especially if Garth himself didn’t create the portal. Tends to be a “if you ask me to do this thing, don’t ask me to do anything else for a while” type of power.
Demonic Summoning: For all your demonic summoning needs. Presumably needs a summoning spell. I guess in theory Garth knows how to do necromancy because his uncle learned that and Garth learned all his family secrets. But using necromancy turns you into a gross demon thingy and it’s Bad so Garth wouldn’t do that. He might summon a demon tho. That’s different.
Other Spells In theory, Garth should be able to perform nearly any spell given to him, and create his own. He does this several times (sometimes better than others) and obviously prefers more structured spell casting.
Communication with the “spiritual essence” of the planet itself -- the energies of all the seas, oceans, rivers, any body of water. As well as the protector of those energies, the Naiad.
AND MORE! We know Garth continues training even after Atlan, and he has access to spell books from all over. Even the writers acknowledge that the powers he possesses are just a sampling of what he is truly capable of.
Thanks for reading through (or skimming!) and I’m always open to discussions if you have any questions or feel I’ve missed anything!!
And again, this is only discussing pre-boot. Because Garth has a completely different backstory in rebirth, I have no idea if he can use any of those powers, or how powerful he can become. @ dc comics give garth his curly hair and his origin story back you fucking COWARDS.
