Bro I got new pants (from the men's section, where they allegedly use objective measurements like waist and inseam lengths) and I didn't have time to try them on but they're sized by objective measurements so I thought'no problem,' right? I just grabbed the size and style and brand I already had, that I was wearing a belt with so they'd fit right at that exact moment, and assumed it would be exactly the same BUT IT FUCKING WARNT IT'S TOO SMALL TO GET PAST MY THIGHS BUT IT'S ALLEGEDLY THE EXACT SAME SIZE AS WHAT I ALREADY HAVE THAT PRACTICALLY FALLS OFF WITHOUT A BELT I'M GOING TO BURN DOWN EVERY CLOTHING MANUFACTURER AND DEVOUR EVERYTHING THEY LOVE so now I have to get up early to exchange them before work tomorrow or just wear my same jeans that are starting to rip beyond my ability to fix for another two days before I get a day off :(

if dorian didn't show up, do you think louis would have shot minnie?
I do. I know some people think either he wouldn't have or he would've missed so that's why the writers had him shoot Dorian instead, but mmmmmm no, I don't personally think so. I like to think that if he had taken the shot, his shaky hands would've caused him to shoot her fatally.
Mostly because I'm already so normal about the fact that of the Ericson crew, Marlon and Louis are the only ones with a body count. Well, that we know of, but shown to us in the game, at least. Plus, we know it's Louis' first kill.
Like yeah, Clementine and AJ become part of the crew and they have bigger body counts, and if we're counting indirect kills caused by actions, then Tenn has a count... and I guess everyone has blood on their hands for blowing up the boat... but I'm talking about killed directly with a weapon like....... I lied, I'm not normal about that at all, Louis and Marlon are the ones who have killed someone in Louis' route. I'm also not normal about the fact that Louis kills Dorian and then even as he's clearly in shock, he tries to go with Clementine to get AJ, and then later on when they talk about it, he says it feels like bile but not quite and he's glad he has it in him to do it.... listen, listen, listen... I'm obsessed with that.
Anyway, so if Louis shot Minerva, I think he would've accidentally killed her and can you imagine? He's already enough of a mess after killing the woman who pinned him down and tried to cut his finger off [or succeeded] but he knew Minerva, they were friends before the twins were taken. Even Violet couldn't kill her even though that would've been the smarter thing to do, and we know thanks to meta knowledge that killing her would've saved lives, but Violet couldn't, and I don't think Louis would intentionally either.
Speaking of Violet, if Louis killed Minerva, I hate to think about what that would've done to Vi. I think she might've actually left at that point, like what was planned before it got changed to her being burned. I don't think she would've attacked Louis over it, though, like yeah she attacked Clementine in the cell but Louis? I don't know, but I don't think so just because it's Louis and he'd be a mess about it anyway.
Though if he did kill her, it would be a neat parallel to draw... y'know, because Louis forgave AJ for killing Marlon even though he was pissed and heartbroken, and Violet was annoyed with him the entire time... but could she ever forgive Louis for killing Minerva? Y'know? We already have a similar parallel with AJ shooting Tenn, but still.
If Clementine killed Minerva in that moment, though, then I could see Violet attacking her since in her eyes, Clem proved her right.
So yeah, I get why they added the Dorian kill to his route. It adds another compelling element to Louis as a character, but we also need Minerva alive for episode 4; Louis can't kill her, he can't miss, and he's not going to stay with her because we need Violet to stay on the boat and him to be on shore for all routes.

i try to give ppl grace when it comes to media literacy bc analyzing media is a skill you have to actively learn to sophisticate so its very understandable that ppl are at different levels w this skill. but at the same time i really do hate it when ppl say theres no such thing as a "bad way" to interpret art cuz like ok i understand our interpretations of art are shaped by our experiences in our lives but also i watched "the shining" in theaters a few days ago and it was super good so i went to watch some video essays on the movie and i saw a video about "the wendy theory" and it actually made me lose hope for media literacy way faster than literally any fandom discourse any of you buffoons have forced upon me. like im sorry but if you watched the shining and your only takeaway was well wendy was actually hallucinating the whole time cuz thats the only way the story events make sense cuz the supernatural isnt real therefore it couldnt Really Be Ghosts or whatever in this story nay this documentary where only things that can happen in real life can happen in this fictional story. it mustve been my whore wife all along. it very much gives "i really enjoyed this story, except for the parts where the story happened"

One thing that's so cute/endearing to me that I feel can really only be achieved on tumblr is how (usually in fandoms) we really are just rotating around together in a way.
Like chatting with friends (or even knowing someone saw YOUR post) in the replies and then making a point/statement and then seeing a bit later the friend makes a post with either the same idea or words and you just sit there like
Or even just EXPANDING on an idea together or then sometimes a "long discussion" eventually just turns into memes for fun :D
Even if you don't agree with someone's idea/headcanon/discussion/etc. like it's usually still fun to look through! :D And then maybe it becomes "Ohhhh, okay! I'm still sticking with my own headcanon/idea but I see how you came up with that based on what we know and how that could work!" and then high five!
OFC it's the communities and the people that make it so but still! It's fun! :D

Amy Pond, who wouldn't acknowledge the Doctor's voice, such that it took an Angel in her eye that was literally killing her to ensure she couldn't reality check herself —
