Had a great idea because I'm a genius and also so sick im basically on drugs
Imagine a big event for cosplayers, lasting maybe a few weeks or a month, and taking place in a space where nobody not participating can access. An area with rooms to stay in, stores, etc, like a little town for cosplayers.
And for the event there's a list to ensure each cosplay only has 1 person for it. So no double cosplays. And the main rules would be
1) no exiting the event space unless it's for an emergency
2) you gotta do your best to stay near other cosplays from whatever show/movie/book/musical/whatever
3) Do your best to stay in character when on camera & just for funny stories
The event would be recorded both by participant and host, but there would of course be certain areas nobody could record in for people who need a break.
All complex cosplays that get uncomfortable or dangerous to be in for prolonged periods of time have to have secondary "simple" cosplays like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo to change into for their own safety when needed. Nobody would be expected to sleep in cosplays or spend time in them in areas where recording is banned, this event would circle firstly around a bunch of cosplayers showing off and having fun together on a cool vacation & secondly around viewers entertainment/content opportunities.
Idk I just thought it sounded like a fun idea:3

rian johnson took all that time, put in all that effort to make glass onion a fantastic period piece to the first four months of pandemic, a prescient narrative that anticipates the stupidity of rich billionaires, and then pulled the rug from under us because the world of benoit blanc just straight up doesn't have the mona lisa anymore

this is going to be a controversial opinion.
Jack O'Neill is not secretly a genius sheppard-style and its a grave injustice to think so
he is an AMAZING soldier and he's good at his job and he loves his team. he doesn't need to be booksmart for that. this thing where characters HAVE to be "secretly geniuses" is a disservice. being "dumb" isn't necessarily a bad thing. jack can be dumb as a bag of hammers and still be good at his job and still deserve his spot on the team.
to the arguments that hes a colonel and so HAS to be booksmart - have you not ever scraped by a test or a certification by the skin of your teeth and the help of a study buddy? and those who say "but his hobby is ASTRONOMY" - do you need a phd in astrophysics to stargaze? do you need to give the store owner your dissertation to purchase a telescope? his best friend, the kid who gave him back his will to live, was on another planet. of COURSE he looked to the stars every chance he got.
he's allowed to be dumb. hes allowed to not be the smartest on his team. that doesn't take away from his many other skills. hes allowed to be stuffed with love and sarcasm instead of brains and still be a badass colonel and an amazing main character.

Okay now I cannot stop myself imagining what if these three went on a crazy cruise together?!
Like who would rule the ship? Who would be captain? What would the others do? What crazy adventures would they encounter? Would they talk of their wives/lovers non-stop over drinks? Would they kill everyone one sarcastic comment at a time?!
Like this is the team BBUM (aka Big Brains Unorthodox Methods)
These guys are basically both geniuses and silly potatoes at the same time! You love to hate them and you hate to love them and you follow their every adventures! Incorregible bastards and sweet souls in one package!
Disney, Dreamorks and Greek Mythology, the monster giants of epicness and iconic characters in one hell of a crossover!

Every now and then I'd hear some kid talking about fanfics like "What kind of freaks are writing those things?" and every bit of my brain'd be like "Guess what, asshole? My friends are fanfic writers. I KNOW those freaks, they ARE freaks, but YOUR filthy mouth is saying it with the wrong energy, so SHUT THE FU- "

I love the five oddballs and I feel like an underrated part of their character is how they comment upon how society treats talented beings and the dangers of placing someone so talented on a pedestal. The isolation the Oddballs felt from others, especially the OG three oddballs, and their arcs relating to humanity is one of the most intriguing aspects of this game’s writing

the really fun thing about braime is that they are both the beauty and the beast which means i can picture brienne OR jaime flopping down dramatically in a field somewhere and singing "and for once it might be grand to have someone understand i want so much more than they've got planned."
both of them can also do "if i can't have her" but different lines. brienne gets "and from my tortured shape no comfort, no escape
i see, but deep within is utter blindness" and jaime gets "long ago i should have seen all the things i could have been careless and unthinking, i moved onward."

i’ve said it before and better but literally. clip show “now you’re infecting my memory with your memory, and i can’t even remember my own life correctly” . that’s what happens with roller rink. we Know of course that’s not what happened. it’s Them telling the story, there’s some element of they truly believe this happened, that’s how They remember it, but on some level they’re each aware this is all their fantasies. it’s like. remember when i was cool and nice and successful and you all liked me and yeah i do remember that of course i remember that. it’s warmer and softer. they’re almost fifty and still Stuck. it would hurt too much. they were always destined to end up like this. but remember when we weren’t. it was some cruel twist of fate that made us like that do you remember. i remember! life was Good. we both know it wasn’t. and we both know it isn’t now. but that’s what memories do, you can twist them into something more comfortable. something that fits with your current narrative. “you can’t do this. every time you misremember something you like run the risk of altering reality …. i’m saying like how you remember something sort of like, becomes reality …. no it doesn’t change reality. reality is reality i’m just saying it becomes your reality” so let’s make this our reality. let’s play pretend.
